I had probs getting onto bb too in the last few days.. lol but somehow it doesnt suprise me that this thread is still pumping out the posts!! haha I had two eaten so i am over posting!! lol Sorry- i said some really nice things to you all!!

RE car seats- our is still in reverse position and will be for a while. a friend of mine turned hers around too early i think- no dramatic horror story- she just didnt look right and wasnt holding her head right and when she fell asleep in the car seat her head fell to the side and it just looked wrong.

I'm gonna post this now incase it gets eaten and wont be too upset coz its just a little one!!

OH but first... WAHOO Squidipa!! Great gain!! I think i was the only one who guessed this week- so i WIN!! lol

Squidipa- ummah what naughty realestate people you have. I would be surprised if they get the fence under insurance most insurance companies don't cover fences hopefully they have a super dooper policy :D. And congrats on Josiah's weight gain blew my 150g guess out of the water!

Sasha- I'm so over the humidity i wish it would rain and cool things down not rain and go back to being humid. Allegra is feeding the same lately she loves her morning naps now.

Vic- I saw on the news about the TB infection how scary You would think that doctors would be checked or immunised against these things especially coming form other countries into Australia and working around such fragile beings.

Pixie- I'm sure Beth will let you know if she's not getting enough ;)

MM- You have a nice house there well done. I bet the kids are bouncing off the walls being the last day of school.

Well I was woken up this morning by a police car chase at the front of our house I started another thread with the details and I'm sooooooooo buggered the chase happened at 3:30 and I couldn't get back to sleep (too busy sticky beaking) I've had a hour nap oh welll might do christmas shopping later to wake myself up :D
I'm thinking of putting Allegra on solids soon I haven't yet as she seems pretty happy with the formula.
I wrapped our presents to the girls and put them under the tree yesterday and Cadence came home from kindy in a BAD mood I told her to look at the tree and tell me if there were more presents and she scream NNNOOOOOO until she saw there were more and the no changed to a YYEAHHHH with an evil giggle at the end but she was uspet cos Allegra's getting the biggest present :ROFL:

Kel84 ill have to go read that thread then hey. I so hear ya about the humidity its like dripping of my arms when holding josh its terrible. Thats so cute and yet so typical she got the bigger one hahaha, On Christmas day everyone has to open the gifts one at a time from the section thats form family first then the kids get to choose one gift at a time form under the tree from Santa. I have Santa letters here to give to kids this week im getting exited for them. I gave josh a 5 cent piece of vegimite on toast this morning cause he always cries the second anything touches my lips even when in another room he has this uncanny abilitie as baby's do. i held the end and he sucked and sucked and sucked he loved it!! And now comes the debate is vegimite australian or form NZ lol.

Holidays oh my yeah tomorrow is last day of school got somethings planned but just so difficult int his humidity plsu i cant just go swimming when i want to i always have to schedule it in and more or less me time on that is none xistant.

Veygas self settles, but we did go through a patch when he had the hernia and the operation where he wouldn't sleep unless he was with me ... I didn't want to risk anything though after the op, so I started the whole thing back then, checking on him and calming him down every couple of mins if he was crying ... not talking or picking him up, but just stroking his head ... the big thing was wrapping him (he now associates wrapping wherever we are, with sleeping!) But I guess it's too hot up there to wrap ...

Vic - Good luck with the packing! I know for me, it will be a big clean out time as well! Just wish i could snap my fingers and be done with it! :rofl:

Kat - my DS1 had full head control the minute he was born! But yeah, DS2 was reverse til about 8 or 9 months and V will prolly be the same - well, he doesn't look scrunched up in the seat yet ... BUT he spent a whole 40 minute drive this morning holding his head up :rolleyes: No wonder he's asleep now, he exhausted himself!

Pixie - I'm having the opposite prob ... V is skimping on his last feed of the night - i literally have to force feed him cause if I don't, he wakes up a couple of times during the night. But we had a power chuck last night (though I think it's got more to do with teething, cause he had barely had anything at that stage!)

MM yeah we had that routine of wrap an sleep but the humidity and heat is to much he barley wears clothes and if i take him out i just put a singlet on if in shops then i dress him as he normally goes all splotchy and cold in shops. I let him cry a bit then tried to pat him but nope...... so picked him up put him on couch as he was in playpen and just shhh shhh shhh him and help his hand as he must have some form of contact and he did go to sleep.

yeah kel they have some funky tv shows on, we had to wait 2 years for in the night garden to arrive to australia as NZ had it first. I LOVE tiny teddies there so naughty hehehe.

OH im always up before kids got camera ready and waiting hehe. Kids all have to get up at same time and not allowed to start opening without me. so to be fair i get up early make my coffee and waiting patiently for them hehehe. I have to brave the shops tonight to do food shop eeekkkk!!!!!

im ticked with myself i cant find where i placed some court transcripts grr i had to ring solicitor and ask her for a copie of them. Im using them to try yes TRY to speed up some what the adoption. We are hoping on handing/posting that in tomorrow the paper work and our first lot of fee's. We has a bit of an interview well hubbie did over the phone this week so thats one more step down.

I'm braving the shops tonight too well maybe late afternoon depends on when DF gets home he doesn't know it yet but I'm dragging him along too :p

Squidipa- I don't think I could handle lots of kids constantly in my ear and at my feet. Cadence was my shadow (very noisy one) one day and followed me into Allegras room when I went to change her pooey. I said to Cadence "Cadence guess what" she said "what" I opened Allegras nappy and she ran down the hall way at a million miles an hour screaming NOOOOOOOOOO, She was gagging for a few minutes after.Mean I know but hey I got a few minutes quiet.

I'm with Optus too, but I don't think we can stay with them when we move (even though we have been the loyalist of loyal customers) cause this time last year, we had problems where we got a new neighbour who inadvertently had all of OUR services disconnected to connect his ... HIS telco's stuff up, but Optus weren't going to reconnect us (with ANYTHING) cause apparently they aren't connecting new numbers on telstra lines in our area anymore .... I begged and ended up taking it to the ombudsman - took about 2 months but finally got all our services back :rolleyes:

So I think we are going to have to find new phone and internet providers (I REFUSE to use telstra, been jacked around toooooooooo much by them too!) But I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope optus connects at our new place (about 40k's down the mountain) but I'm not holding my breath!

Well, I better stop sitting around on my fat butt and get ready - DS1 has a celebration thingy at school tonight and I don't really want to go, but there is a) no-one else to take him and b) no-one else to look after the other kids, and the weather is absolutely miserably drab .... plus I forgot to tell school that he's not going back next year! :redface:

speaking of which squidipa she doubled her birth weight, not sure exactly when but I'm guessing about 1-2 weeks ago. Sometimes she self-settles, ie. if I catch her at exactly the right moment I can put her in her hammock and she will drift off without a squeak. most of the time though I have to put her in the rocker and bounce it, or put her in the hammock and bounce it a little. I usually have some music on. If she is in her room, lately I have been staying in the room tidying up and just bounce the hammock when she grizzles and she drops off soon enough. She used to fall asleep in my arms but not anymore. She falls asleep on the BB quite often but then it's 50/50 whether she will stay down if I put her in the hammock.
Mel - please please pretty please???? you know we're dying to know!

Hi!! Just a quick note before I go to bed, I'm soo tired today. Eli's fed heaps (*another* growth spurt, teething??) today and been unusually unhappy for him and it's taken it out of me. But in general we're both fantastic :) Had some photos taken on the weekend, here's a few:

In NZ, they recommend rear facing car seats for the first year. Eli's in a convertible car seat which is rear facing - he's never been in a capsule actually, glad I didn't get one since he was/is so big!! It's a bit of a pain to lug him out of there but having the straps loosened (because he's big) helps.

Eeee Mel, you gotta tell us soon!!! Heheh.

We now have 2 reversible car seats, as Master K was NOT giving up his seat for anything! Mind you, it is twice handed down, so Master V ended up with a new seat! We actually got one suited for a small car, which was lucky cause the 3 together JUST fit :lol:

Leash - if you keep getting her legs caught in the anchor belt thingy (sorry mind gone blank - did too much work today) can you unhook it before you get her out? I know with the one we had with DS we did that, unhooked it, got him out, then put him back in and hooked it back up. It only took a few extra seconds - but we used to get his legs caught in it too.

Last night when I was putting Beth to bed I thought maybe I should give her a cuddly toy to keep her company. She has one that she seems to like so I tucked it under her arm - well, she just cuddled right up to it and went to sleep! It was so cute. We are calling him Maurice. 5 hours shopping yesterday.....i may a well have been pregnant i was limping sore heels and hip and my back ohhh my exactly as when i was pregnant. It was increadable!!! the pain and aching i could barley walk what a shock not alot of ppl get the re-live that and i thought FUDGE how did i cope i dont understand how i even got out of bed i the mornings its was WOW!!

hubbie bought me two outs fits a bumble bee costume a rainbow fairy one and a black fairy costume YAY not for any reason other than i like them hehehe and needed something for Christmas day and eve thats me and fun!!! Got my photo of kids and santa back its not to bad all kids smiling not all looking in right direction but hey its all good.

I was actually looking at TPG last night ... they do a deal with Soul phone ... but I don't know anybody who has signed up with Soul (except for the asian chicky on the ad, and really she's just an actor friend of mine, and it was her CHARACTER who signed up! LOL!) But the deal is ALOT better than what we've got / are paying now .... aaaaaggggghhhh decisions decisions ....
