Hi all
So, you might be thinking what the heck am I doing posting at 1:40 in the morning. Well the boy decided to wake up didnt he, just given him a drink and he's fast asleep again  He ended up only having about 680ml for the day yesterday (I know not very much) so I was expecting him to wake up for another bottle but more like around 9pm-10pm not now LOL oh well ..... got tied up with the tennis last night so didnt get a chance to get back to catch up on the posts so thought I'd do it now before going back to bed.
Official results from yesterday's weigh in:
Weight - 10.1kg
Length - 74cm
Kel - welcome back! Re: teeth it looks like Kye has one on the bottom left coming up. I saw it yesterday when he was laughing. Could be ages before it breaks through but
MT - your camping trip sounded great. Good to hear Jett is going well with the BLS. How's he doing weight wise now?
Mel - sorry to hear Miss M had an unsettled day yesterday, K was similar too actually. I had to go out twice and he soooo didnt wanna be in his car seat, cracked it majorly while I was trying to do the belt up, once we got going though he fell straight asleep, little bugger LOL
Anyways back to bed for me - I'm walking with a friend at 6:30am so I guess I better get a few more hours sleep!
:hello:

Morning all
Sasha - I hope you woke up well this morning after your late night ;) Today has started off better than yesterday already - she's down for a nap now - huge improvement from yesterday. I think she has a tooth coming through as well - also on the bottom - but on the right ;) DS got both the middle teeth through at once when he was first teething, but it feels like she is just cutting the one.
And OMG - 10kg?!?!?! Geez mine needs to stack some weight on me thinks!!!! lol.... I'll take mine to the docs next week if I can get an appointment - have to take DS for his 2 year check up anyway.
Hello to everyone else :grouphug:
Going to take DS down to daycare today - he starts junior kindy on friday instead of being in the toddler room, so thought I should take him down there and get him acquainted with the new people, new toys etc.... plus get the girls in the baby room to actually meet Miss M - she starts her first day there on Friday (yayyy out of the yucky ABC centre for good!)
Thats all from here! Have a good day all.
-
Morning everyone
wow Sasha I hope you caught up on sleep. 10KG thats awsome! I was expecting teeth a lot sooner but I think Allegra is going to do things a lot later then Cadence.
Mel- All ABC centres must be the same I had Cadence in one when she was 9 months and it was very yucky.
Squidipa- Monday at the new time suits me I can't wait to catch up! Goodluck car seat hunting.
MT- Camping sounds like sooo much fun! I've never heard of a baby loving lettuce very healthy food choice there mr Jett :D
I forgot to mention I have Allegra in daycare one day a week now while I go to work. Today was here second day she was a very good girl on her first day. When I left both times she stared back at me with her big blue eyes as if to say mum where are you going? breaks my heart

hey folks tried to post here a couple of times but site keeps crapping out.... 3rd time lucky at least i didn't lose a big post.... all I would have needed to send me over the edge after the few days I've had! LOL
I can't believe it, Beth just fell asleep on my shoulder. She hasn't done that for nearly 3 months! She must be completely knackered! put her to bed hopefully she will have a nice long nap and I can get some mummy time!
Kel - great to see you back - I LMAO at your Joys of Parenthood thread! classic!
Mel - mwah! hope you're having a better day!
Sash 10kg!!! :o wow you must have such a sore arm, bet you're packing some serious biceps!
squiddy I can relate re the computer, had the same thing last week, my mac cracked it and I had to use my old laptop for a week... seemed very clunky going back to it!
MT Beth loves banana and bread too - although most of it gets smeared on her fact and clothes ... haven't tried carrot, did you cook it first? We have heaps so I should probably give it a go.
Anyhoo, better go do stuff while bubba is asleep.... big :hello: to all

Hi just flying through... it peaked at 45.7 here today :o:o:o
So staying in the AC as much as possible, but had to go to the block as they are excavating our pool tomorrow :)
Nakita is not coping poor darling, upset grizzly and jsut not a happy camper :(
Must run for now, fly back later when I have more time...
-
45.7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:jawdrop:
-
Yep Pixie - it is insane here 5pm and still 45...!!! It was 42 by 9.30am...
Forecast for the next week is nuts too, not looking forward to it at all!!
N has just crashed, finally!!! I think we might be skipping solids tonight and just more boob... will wait and see, she usually has solids shortly but had an extra boob instead and I am not waking her up now!! :)
Cut my hair off today, 13 inches!!! Now I have a nice short dark bob ;)
Wow Sasha!! that is impressive!
So the 8th Feb aye Mel!! Better be worth the wait!!! Nappy Queen!!! Yay for the new daycare too
Glad you had a very Aussie weekend MT, just thing thing to celebrate Australia Day!
I like MT's suggestion Squidipa ;)
I did get the Bounty Bag Kel, just took the voucher into Target to collect it
Must run now, gotta go to the gym at 6:30pm for a PT session!
xxoo

Pixie - Yeah I cook the carrot first. Cook it so it is soft but still holds form. If I don't cook it enough he ends up biting off pieces that are a bit big and then spends the whole meal gagging it back up and trying again!! The smearing is half the fun of food!!
Kel - That look you are talking about will break my heart when I eventually go back to work too. I hate leaving him in the gym creche for an hour!! I am gonna miss my daily doses of smiles!
Mel - Awww! Junior kindy....no longer a toddler? Why do they have to grow up so quick?
Sasha - Wow! 10kgs, that is too hard for me to imagine. Jett is only just over 6kgs!!
Squidipa - Poo about the pooter. That is so frustrating!
ETA: Beema - Wow!! Hot here too, has just peaked (in my local area) at 42.4, at 5.00pm!! Stoopid weather... am thinking I will hang out in a shopping centre tomorrow!! I need to get Jett out of the house, but it needs to be cool.
I think Jett can recognise his name now.... I called it out today and he stopped grizzling, looked at me and waved his arms and legs about very excitedly. I said it a few more times, added a few other phrases and words and each time I said "Jett" he would pause and wave his arms and legs about. Maybe?
ETAA: Ooh and since writing my post, Jett has just sat on his own for the first time. I haven't practiced it much with him cos he always prefers to stand. We had a little go yesterday with very limited success, so I thought I would give him another go just now and he did it straight away. Even had the fine tuning movements happening and was able to reach out and play with a toy!! I'm such a proud Mummy right now, cos it looks like he just figured it out on his own last night before going to sleep!!! I can just see him nows while playing with his fingers thinking to himself "Next time I'll try putting my hands out in front of me and if I wiggle my butt a little bit I just might be able to stay upright.....yeah I'll give that a go next time...."
-
Nappy Queen? I'm confuzzled... ?
-
Vic- what voucher? I may have thrown it away I hope you don't need it WAAAHH!
45 degrees HOLY MOLY! I'd be making sure my pool gets built quick smart :whip:
Pixie- I was laughing at all the other stories too! LOL at the banana facial. It's so cute when they fall asleep in your arms makes you feel so special.
MT- I know she cried when she had to go gt changed before I could take her home and she couldn't see me anymore there was a tiny little tear rolling down her face. How long till you go back you reckon? I say if you can go back part time or casual to start with going back full time is soooo hard. Thats fantastic that Jett recognises his name
I just had one of those tear up moments I was singing (that heaven song) to Allegra as she was drifting off to sleep sucking on the bottle she was fighting so hard to just stare in my eyes I REALLY love those moments I will miss them when she grows up to Cadences age.

Hey all
Well Kye tried sweet potato today for lunch and it went down well so another one to add to the 'can use' list YAY!! Cooked a few corn cobs yesterday and whizzed them up this morning to a puree so gonna try that on it's own tomorrow for lunch. If that one is ok I am going to mix with sweet potato and corn together.
He is really loving the Rafferty's spinach, broccoli, pea and apple sachet at the moment too. Gobbles 2 tablespoons down in no time, such a strange combination but yeah its seems to be the one he likes the most oh that and carrot and beans pureed up. I did a huge pot of that the other day and now have like two weeks supply in the freezer haha
MT - :hooray: for Jett sitting up on his own! It is always such a great moment! I can't wait for K's next milestone when he starts getting onto his hands and knees to crawl
Vic - I really feel for you having to deal with 45 degree heat. That's just insane!
Anyways K is asleep so gotta have dinner!
Catcha's tomorrow! :hello:
-
Sasha - Great to hear Kye going so well with his food! That Rafferty's one does sound
like a strange combination.
I tried Jett sitting up again and this time he started rocking back and forth like he wanted to get on his hands and knees. It is like this sitting thing has unlocked a gateway for him. He's had such a big day!
-
mt thats awesome sitting up now... wow how long can he do it for???
well after a long runaround i got a booster seat today and bought a new car seat for joshie i have to pick it up tomorrow. now i gotta sent the recipt into insurance and ahhh see what happeneds:pray::rolleyes::D
well on monday im going training bra shopping in the arvo with dd, after 3 weeks of saying its itching and uncomfortable i have decided to go get her some. BTW she has some here these are for at dads house ... last night i was showing her this awesome website (written in kiddy language) about puberty and how boobs grow at different stages....well anyway as i reading the stuff out mind u she knows about periods and that and hair in places already.... she says mom u missed a word and you said woohoo in stead, i was like did i ??? she said yeah that one..... ya see i call vagina woohoo and so she had no idea what a vagina was and said so these are my vagina  i cracked up laughing and said no there your soon to be boobies..... See she knows what a woohoo is but i didnt use the corect term. I wonder if there is a lesson in this for any of u all.!!

Here we go with the heat again! If it gets over 43 degrees today like it is forecast, it will be the first time ever on record that Melbourne has had 3 days in a row over 43. Stupid ridiculous heat. We have evaporative cooling which is great and works really well if it is under 40, but it just doesn't cope over that. Still stays cooler than outside. But our cool change is coming tonight..... we'll be in low 30s instead all next week!
I'm sure you all heard on the news about the man that threw his 4yo off the Westgate Bridge yesterday... I can honestly say that that has made me feel physically sick, especially when I hold my little darling. I just don't understand, but it makes me want to cry, for her and her siblings that were in the car at the time and watched their father do it. :crying:
Squidipa - Jett can sit up for I don't know how long. When he first did it I kept sitting there waiting for him to tip over but he just didn't. I couldn't believe how well his fine tune balancing was working. He didn't even need me to save him. That was why I ended up going and get the camera and he was still sitting when I came back!! He is now able to grab toys and shuffle around, and looks like he is trying to work out how to get on to his knees.
Ok I had better go and hand the washing on the line before it dries in the basket. That is one good thing about this heat, everything is drying super quick!!
-
Morning all,
Popping in quickly to post that Kye tried MANGO this morning and loved it so another one to add to the list
Ended up mixing it with pear and he gobbled down about 3 tablespoons full in the end.
Bec - I brought some apricots, cooked em down and whizzed em up and thought yeah another fruit for him to try. Luckily I tried some before giving it to him cause they were so bitter and thought there aint no way he will like that. Will have to use em ourselves for a cake or something.
Anyways gotta run, he is due to wake up any moment now... has been asleep for 2 HOURS!! :o so not like him!
-
Morning folks.... just a quickie
well I wasn't motivated to go to the gym this morning, so I cleaned the bathroom instead... not sure what that says!
MT YAY for Jett sitting up! It's great when they can sit up, they are happy playing with toys for ages! I saw the story about that poor little girl... so tragic. A whole family shattered. Just heartbreaking.
Squids great that you got the new car seat... how old is your DD?
Sash sounds like Kye is going great with his solids! I am a bit lazy some days and Beth only gets some bread to chew on or a piece of cucumber or potato.... but she has loved all those things so far. Got to get some more fruit to try her out on.
Well, a quiet day here at last, MG later in the day.... can't believe its friday already.... the weeks are going too fast! :o

Oh and Mel, Nappy Queen, was cos you have a fabulous and huge collection of MCN's!!!
Keep cool ;)
-
Pix / MT - how are you giving bread? Just chopping it up into pieces... I'm scared if I offer it to Kye he'll gag on it. Theres been a couple of times I've done his food a bit lumpier and he's gagged so yeah bit reluctant to give him bread at this stage.
I brought one of those Tommee Tippee mesh things yesterday, you know the ones that you can put frozen stuff and meat into them - less choking etc
It was only 8 bucks so I thought if he doesnt take to it at least it aint too much outlay.
Was going to try a piece of orange in it today really cold, I'll let ya know how it goes LOL
