Vic .... are you UTD again??? :dunno: and two weeks is announcement time??? :p
I am very happy too, my night nappy passed the test of being worn all night!! :hooray:
anyway :hello: to everyone, gotta put grumble-bum to bed and keep cleaning the mess which has accumulated in this house!
MM -  Vic will love you for that! Congrats on the nappies too, they look awesome!
Kye's been waking up 2-3 times per night the past week so am looking to try different ways of getting him to fall asleep and sleep through.
The only thing he knows is having his bedtime bottle and falling asleep by the time he's finished it but he's waking up at 9:30pm and 2:30am most nights.
When he wakes up its usually a manic scream so I go in there and usually pick him up. I try to pat him back to sleep but that usually doesnt work so I get him out of bed and give him water and he usually goes back to sleep. But then a couple of hours later he wakes up again.
Suggestions on what anyone else does? He has started to self settle during the day; maybe I just have to be tougher at night LOL
Thanks Sasha! :)
Can't help you on the sleep thing, Veygas has started doing something very similar  He self settles for his morning and afternoon naps, and when I put him to bed at 6.30pm, but lately he has been waking up at around 11pm and 4.30pm (on average anyway - sometimes either time can be earlier or later!) I put it down to another growth spurt :dunno: cause it's not like he's cold (or hot) and we close his door, so it's not the cats ... and when I go in to him, he is usually ravenous!
ETA: I guess not Vic  And thank you! :)
Woo Hoo!!! Love your Av Pixie!!!
Nup MM ;)
:bump:
Hope you are all having a fab Saturday, we had swimming again, N did well and had lots of fun as per usual :)

Good morning ladies!!!
I had a HUGE wahoo moment last night (well actually early this morning) DH put DS to sleep!! Well he took him to bed and within minutes they were both asleep!! Thats the first time EVER he has gone from wide awake to asleep without boobie (or being in the car or pram!!) and he didnt fuss or cry at all!! I heard Dh singing to him and then there was just this magical SILENCE!!! I went in and checked and sure enough they were both sound asleep!!! I am soooo excited!!! It may never happen again lol but i will be trying it again for sure!!!
Beema- nah sorry mate- i have done enough packing lately!! lol Good luck with it though!! :)
Squidipa- I hope Joshie is back to his normal self soon!! Oh and S has a love hate relationship with his pram and car seat lol some days he is happy to sit in it and play- other days he arches his back and just doesnt want to get in it!! Some days when i go shopping or something i am often left holding him and pushing an empty pram!!
:hello: To everyone!! Just a quick one from me- i am off to go back to bed!!
Oh but another quick thing.. ds is doing the cutest thing... he has these block things i suppose you can call them- they are like round bowls, but they all link up together to make a big tower- each block a bit smaller than the other- ANYWHO- i have been using one of the big ones and holding it infront of my face and "hiding" ds loves it!! I say "where is mummy" then i pull it away and say There I am !! And i do it to him too- well the smart little bugger has been doing it himself now!!!! He picks it up and holds it infront of his face while i say "where has shane gone?" and he waits AGES.. lol then pulls it down with a HUGE grin and i say "there he is!!!"
Just had to share coz it is soo darn cute!!!
Hope everyone has a fab day!!
xoxoxo
thanks sb for that i take the baby pouch everywhere and end up wih josh in it and like u pushing an empty pram.... hehe josh loves those games tooo:d
yesterday i was putting josh in baby carrier facing outwards, and turned to the mirror in the mothers room and his feet were on bench and i started to side step and josh was cacking him self it looked like he was dancing across the bench lol
last two nights he has stayed down at night yay :)
Hi everyone
We now have pierced ears!!!!!!
She was fantastic didn't cry at all and hse was throwing smiles around a few seconds after they were done!
squidipa- How cute! Allegra loves the pram but has to sit up otherwise she cracks it
Vic- I'm sorry I would help pack but I'm a few hundred or maybe thousand kilometers too far have fun with the CC papers my papers looked more like a book then forms to fill out
SB- oh thats so adorable did you get a photo of them both asleep. What a clever little man you have there
Hello to the ladies I missed
Vic - sorry hun, I'm still UN-packing!!
Kel - yay for pierced ears!!!!
Squidipa - woohoo for Joshie staying down!! :leap:
Pix - love your avvy!! :)
SB - yay for the sleep!!! And how cute with DS's little game!!
Hey everyone,
Just a super quick one for me! Sorry I have been MIA. We had major power issues last week, so for 3 days had absolutely no power! So major they were working until after midnight on our problem!!
So since then I have been busy catching up on all the things that got put off while we had no power such as washing, vacuuming, and general other stuff.
Sorry I really haven't had a chance to catch up on this thread so I don't really know what is happening, but I hope all is well and all your bubs are continuing to be the apples of your eyes!
Mwah!
SB - Kye has these too, got given them for Xmas from a friend and he plays with them for hours, loves them! I do a similar thing with a towel with K and he has started playing peek-a-boo - IT IS cute!
Well K's sleeping is still all up the $hit at night. I am trialling getting him to sleep by himself. Daytime is no problem but night well, still a bit of a mission at the moment but I'm persevering with it for the next few days in the hope he will learn it as a habit and save me some trauma in a few months time LOL
Oh and a funny thing, I checked him twice last night and he was asleep on his side  put himself there so I'm guessing he is more comfortable like that :)
Anyways jobs to do while he is asleep so must run
Hope everyone has a great day!
:hello:
They are great arnt they Sacha!! S loves them to bits and its handy coz there are so many of them we have some in the cra- some in the cot ans some in the lounge room!! lol He hasnt worked out how to put them all togther yet- but he still plays with them!!
Nights are crap here too!! We were on such a good wicket there for about 3 weeks- he would have inner/play/bath/bed... but now we get to the bed bit and he almost falls asleep and then wakes up ready to play again!! My friend has said its normal for this age as they are starting to take more of their surroundings in and they just want to explore- i hope it ends soon!!!!
I have started (as of last night lol) trying to skip his afternoon nap and doing the dinner/bath stuff earlier so he may sleep- didnt exactky work- except that he was at least settled by 10 instead of 12!!!!! (and thats with starting ddinner at 5:30!!!!!) He is sleeping fine during the day- a few hours at a time for one sleep and usually about 40 mintues for another- so i guess i will just keep perservering!!
MT... Bugger about the power outage!!! How did you cope????!!! Lots of candles i bet!!
2girlz... How cute!!! I am jealous- my mum made me wait til i was 13 to get my ears peirced!! I have since let them close up (ironic considering how much i BEGGED to get them done in the first place!!) and i have just recently been thinking about getting them re done!! I didnt get a photo- lol i didnt want to risk waking them up with the flash!! lol
Vic... has it been two weeks yet???????? Any clues???????
Well we gotta go take Daddy to work- oh and a little grrrrrr i am supposed to declare dh's income to centrelink for our pp, and usually i get nothing anyway- but this fortnight he was off due to an injury and the darn website is down!!!!!!!!!!!! Typical!!!!!!!!!
Big hello's to everyone!!!!!!!!!:p
I hope it ends soon too - I'm off to NZ next Wednesday, hopefully that won't make his sleeping outta wack too much! :crossfingers:
SB - LOL thats exactly what Kye is doing for his day sleeps. This morning he slept from 7:30am till 9:00am and then has his afternoon sleep around 1:00pm - he's asleep now so it will be interesting to see if he sleeps another hour and half, most days he does! I think he is starting to get the message re: settling himself which is great - he self settled again for this nap. He's crashed out on his side again
I too, have experimented with the time I give him his dinner and either way it doesnt seem to make much difference. Last night however he had an early dinner (about 4:30pm), bottle at 6:15pm, read books after that; wasnt tired so I didnt push it, put him in his cot at 7:30pm and he self-settled and slept till 9:00pm (with a couple of wakeups) bottle at 9:00pm then he slept till this about 4:30am this morning so I think I am going to try the same thing again tonight.
Anyways sandwhich is a-calling while I can LOL
Toodles! :hello:
SB - We coped by getting take-away and going around to a friends house each night and generally I just went out visiting people and doing things during the day!
I know what you mena about the ear piercing! I wasn't allowed to get mine done until I was 16, but managed to get Mum to cave at about 15, but then found I had a reaction to anything (including gold) being put in my ears so now don't wear earrings!! My holes didn't close over though, so now when I go out somewhere nice I wear some nice earrings and deal with the reaction for the next week!!
Vic - So, what are you up to??? Something sneaky I bet!
Everyone having crappy nights - Yep me too! Last night was a shocker. Kept waking up crying (which is not normal for him) and then he just kept attacking me!!Wouldn't let me put him down on his back, but eventually he settled on his tummy. I think it must have been gut pain, because he is normally very placid in his wake ups and feeds and goes straight back to sleep when I put him down. He always goes down on his back and then he rolls to the side straight away, but nope, last night was def needing to be on his tummy. Several times it looked like he was trying to crawl, but was looking more like a plough!! You know, head down, bum up propelling himself along!!
Everyone having blissful nights - Not fair!!
Squidipa - yay for the new washing machine!
Everyone else - hey!
Ok, not much to report here. We are all on fire alert for tomorrow again, they are predicting some ridiculous winds and it is going to be hot, not a good combination. that everyone remains safe.
Better go get back to the mountain of paperwork I have to get done for DH.
:hiding:
Hello?
im here sorta having a stressful full over worked day but will be fine!
I am here, I haven't been feeling well :(
BUT Veygas is ALMOST crawling now - well more like stumbling over his own hands, but I had said to DP that I'd bet he'd be up and about by the end of feb, and it almost happened! :o
Vic - has it been two weeks yet?? I have totally lost track of time!
Sasha & Squiddy - hope you both have nice hols in NZ!
MT - no power would suck, especially for that long!
:hello: to everyone else, still not feeling 100%
Mel, you stalking me again?? ;)

AND we just decided we are moving house, we have always driven passed this particular house down the road from us and thought how we would love there, then today we saw a private 'for lease' sign out the front, it turns out its less than what we pay at the mo, has a beautiful garen, a deck out the back, wooden floorboards...basicaly its SO perfect for us and Grace!! luckily we managed to arrange to see it right away as they were there showing other people around....WELL, they love us and said if we wanted it we could have it!! SO exciting. out lease is up in two months at our place now but recon we can break lease a monthor so early!! from a unit to a home!! exciting!
Anyway....tried to read back but quite alot to carch up on. hope everyone is well and all the bubs are happy!! woohoo for new earrings!! Dads settling bubs!! and all the other goings on!

:hello: folks! sorry been a bit MIA the last few weeks really have got away from me
Beck how exciting, your dream house! That's such great news :leap:
Mel and MM are you two up to something
MT how did you go today with the fire danger? did you get evacuated?
Kel - cool about the ear piercing... I was like MT got them done when I was 14 but decided earrings didn't look good on me so let them close up.
Squiddy yay for the washing machine, we went and got a new car seat for Beth the other day I think we got the same one you got for Josh but we got the manual not the retractor. She seems to like it!
Sash good to hear sleeping is going a bit better.
We have had a good run for a few nights with madam going to bed at 8 instead of 9, it makes all the difference to be able to cook and eat a decent meal without trying to juggle her bedtime too.... woops might have spoken too soon, I hear grizzling! BBS
Hhhhmmm whats going on? hey MM hmm hmmm HAHA
Allegra's ears a great no swelling or redness she's not pulling at them either.
MM- woohoo for almost crawling when he is crawling you'll be wishing he was still laying around not moving :p
Bec- thats good timing about the house coming up for lease. Grace sounds like a daddies girl
Pixie- I swear babies have a sixth sense they seem to know when you talk about them or you're about to eat
MT- you staying safe and you have some good nights
Hello to everyone I missed I hope you're well with unbroken sleeps
Hey everyone,
Just been doing some paperwork for DH's business. BAS is due and he's hopeless and getting it all entered!
So just toddling off to bed but thought I would pop in here quickly.
Everything was ok here today with all the fire stuff. Nothing happened thank god!! But it was a very hazy day with all the ash that was picked up and dumped over everything with the strong winds today. Visibility was very poor, and now everything is covered with a fine black/grey dust. Going outside was yuck!
Ok, can barely keep my eyes open now so I am heading off to bed!
Sleep well Mums and Bubs! Praying for a peaceful night for all!
Good Morning!!
N's first day at CC yesterday :( On a good note she was super excited to see me when I got there, she was in a swing, lucky I told them she loves swings especially in the afternoon when she is tired but won't sleep. She nearly jumped right out she was that excited!! Brought her home gave her 3pm boob and she looked really tired so I popped her into bed and she slept for 1hr 45min!! She only hand 1 1/2 hrs at CC so she caught up in the afternoon. Best thing was she slept the same overnight as she had been
She didn't drink much milk, her 11am bottle she only had 100ml, but I think she made up for it when I got her home
Got another week to go ;) Clue... hmmmm might involve some "testing"
I hear you on the BAS MT, we have two to do... spoke to our Acc the other day and will sort it all this week!
Glad all went ok with that nasty weather, :hugs: for all the icku black soot :(
Yay on the earings for Allegra Kel, I got mine done at 13yrs of age.
Woohoo on the almost crawling MM!!
Woohoo Beck on the fabulous house that is just brilliant!!
Hope u are feeling better soon MM!
Sasha and Squidipa have an awesome time in NZ, very jealous ;) We loved it when we went a couple of years ago, just did the south island.
Woo Hoo on the better night Pixie, hope it continues!!!
Woohoo on the new washing machine Squidipa!!
Sb I hope Shane sorts his routine out quickly for you!!
Ok must run and play with N before her morning sleep, cos after she is off to CC and I am off to work, late meeting today, going to need the nails sharpened as a couple of people are going to be fighting for their jobs - not us!
Oh forgot to add...
My babys girl is 8 months old!!! :jawdrop: :leap: :hooray:
hmmmmmm
Now what makes you think that pixie???
As for me, I'm feeling a bit better today - at least I'm feeling more human ... it's amazing what toast and vegemite can do! :)
Vic - HAPPY 8 MONTHS NAKITA!!!!! :cheer: So glad that you both coped with her being at daycare!
Anyway, I'm hoping to get some sewing done today ... Veygas is already back in bed (he had a shocker last night - screamed like a newborn for five solid minutes, fought me holding him, wouldn't feed ... and then he woke up! I think he had a bad dream?) so might duck into the shower while I can!
Big hugs and hellos to everyone!
mwah! xxxx
Testing... testing.. one ... twooo... THREE
