Yeah I have but they don't seem to have the one that has "Wag & Wiggle" on it. I think it is called "Pawsuuup". I going to have a search on the internet this afternoon after mother's group.

Yeah I have but they don't seem to have the one that has "Wag & Wiggle" on it. I think it is called "Pawsuuup". I going to have a search on the internet this afternoon after mother's group.
Sam - search on the net for the raggs website...you can get the Pawsuuup DVD on the official site for $12.98 US. Just try www. then the name of the show and then '.com'. That should take you to the right place.
Excellent. I will give that a go. I've had my mother-in-law (to be) taping a couple of shows for me. But I would rather get him the real thing.
Beck - where abouts is Marsden in Brisbane. We are heading up to Brisbane for our first family holiday in August. I actually used to live in Brisbane in 1995.
Sami, Marsden is in Logan which is on the southside of Brisbane. About 10mins from Springwood, 30mins from Sunnybank/MacGregor area where Garden City shopping Centre is. Where abouts did you live? I graduated high school in 1995.
Thanks you make me feel really old now. I lived in Hendra just behind Eagle Farm. I actually enjoyed living in Brisbane but I must admit I have a much better life now than when I was living in Brisbane. I meet Pete in 1998 when I moved back to Geelong and my life has never been the same. It is full of love and friendship.
I was just looking there isn't much difference in our bubs. Bailey was 7pd 2oz - 51cm long and was born on 19 December.
sarajo, I was going to say number 12, but I love the one you picked! Cute!!
dani, what is the password for Jett's website again? sorry Im hopeless.
Hope everyone's having a good day. I just wish Coco would start to get better, I hate seeing her sick. She's miserable and I don't know what else to do. She's having a power nap at the moment, and this arvo I have tilly's friend for the afternoon.....
Was planning on going to Woollies but haven't been able to with sick bub. I am hoping Tim can bring some dinner home!! Hard life for some, his work is taking them ten pin bolwing today! Gee, and Im home with sick bubba. I shouldn't whinge should I!! Anyway, he could well be late, they didn't tell them what time they'd be back, just that they're going at 2pm (which I would think would mean there's no way they'd be back at the office by 5pm).
Anyway, gotta get some washing done while I have a second. coco will not let me out of her sight. oxoxox
Jillian - I went to MacGregor High. Along with Ambah & Juliette. Where did you go?
Sam - Sorry! Didnt mean to make you feel old. I know where Hendra is...I have irish dancing comps at Hendra High sometimes!
OMG you girls can chat!
:hello: Sam! Welcome to you and little Bailey. I'm kind of a fifth wheel in here, mt two were born 1 hour and 45 minutes before Dec 1st!
They were prem (I was supposed to be a Feb mum) but the girls have welcomed me in here, they're all so nice.
Sara, how is little Abby today?
Meg, how is Coco?
Bec, Ivy and Maddy could paint the town red with their inability to sleep...I wouldn't mind, so long as it was the next town over and I got some sleep! :p
Jillian, It must have something to do with the name! MY Immy, didn't do anything, she just watched her sister. When Maddy got up and cruising Immy got VERY distressed. I became her means of transport then. She had no inclination of doing it for herself. She was late to sit up, late to roll over...then one day,at 14 months, after watching Maddy crawl, cruise and take her first steps and watching all the falls that went along with it, she rolled over, two days after that she crawled, by the end of the week she cruised the furniture and on the weekend she decided to walk!
Hi Dani,(I'd love to have another baby but Ivy and Noah were, sadly my last but can understand you being ready to do it all again) Melly (Yay for Logan's circle work) Christie (glad Owen' s needles went well) and Kate (How is your gorgeous girl)?
Ivy and Noah had their needles today and didn't go to badly. It was only two this time and FOUR next time!!! Anyhow, they are asleep at the moment, so thought I would pop on and catch up before I need to start dinner. Ivy didn't sleep a wink last night and today it was 20 minute naps again. Sarajo, do you find that Abby's reflux is worse when she is tired? Ivy has been chucking heaps today...I dont think it's the gastro, it's more like her normal refluxy chucks.
Noah is such a good sleeper, after starting out as my highly strung never sleep baby, he has settled into a good routine, now if he would just tell Ivy his secret!
Tiggy, glad to hear that the twins immunsations went well today....not looking forward to Maddy's in a fortnight's time. Have to remember to ring up and book the appointment tomorrow. *LOL* @ Ivy & Maddy being able to paint the town red. Maybe we should find a nocturnal babysitter so we can sleep a proper night's sleep? hehe
SOOOOO cranky. First of all, I go to Target at a shopping centre I hate purely for the purpose of grabbing one of those Ronson 6L slow cookers for $49.95. Naturally even though they went on sale today, they're all sold out. I swear, literally nothing else was touched on the shelves (despite there being a 15% off everything sale) but of course the one thing I wanted was sold out and they don't do rainchecks! BOOOOO..... :(
Oh and checked out the Take 5 magazine and am very sad that my gorgeous little princess didn't make the baby modelling top 20 finalists. I know there were thousands of entrants and every Mummy thinks their baby is beautiful; but I think honestly alot of those babies are nowhere near as gorgeous as Maddy! :(
Please think of John tomorrow...he goes for what is hopefully the first of 2 interviews to get the job with Deacons Lawyers. It's going to be a tough fight for the job but hopefully they'll see the potential in John. We so need for him to get this job; we just can't financially handle living on $35,000 pa with three people to support on that one wage.
First of all, BIG HUGGEEE YAWN! Abby was awake again all night. I dont know how long I can take this, and she only has a cold! I am such a wimp!!! lol! Im going to get a shower, feed her, and then I will take a nap with her I think! YAWN!
Meg Dani's password is Jett! I really really hope Coco feeld better soon, poor bub! How are you feeling?
I graduated in '95 also! :)
Tiggy wow 2 going for needles at the same time?! So does one cry when the other does? I dont know how you do it...you truly are a supermom! :) Abby's cough is worse, and the poor chicken is all stuffy. BUT the fever is gone! WOOHOO!!!
Beck I hope all goes well for John! The mag was crazy not to pick Maddy as a finalist! Maddy is soooo doll baby status! She is one of the cutest babies I have ever seen! She has a distinct look too...her personality really shows through! I would try again if I were you! Bummer at the slow cookers! Are they on sale all week? Maybe they will get another shipment in?
edited to add: Tiggy, I have not noticed Abby's reflux being worse when she is tired, but it was very bad yesterday and she was tired all day! Interesting! I'll have to keep an eye on that! We went to the specialist yesterday and they uped her dosages on her meds. I cant wait till she grows out of this! She spit up all over the waiting room floor, the weigh in room floor, the exam table, and the exam room floor! lol, trying to show off for the doctors I guess! Oh well! I hope Ivy is doing better today for you! :)
Evening Ladies,
Hope you and your babies are all doing well.
I had my 6mth check up at thew MCHN today. I decided that I would walk up seeing I was going to drive to Mother’s group later in the day. Was a good idea until I realised it was bloody 7 degrees (It was freezing). No real benefit to the big walk cause I just chowed down Chinese takeaway and a bag of prawn crackers…. I haven’t had any takeaway in about 6 weeks, I was hanging for it…
Sam – The penny has dropped:doh: , it is you from Mother’s Group… I am not very quick am I.. I didn’t even look to see that you were from Geelong.
Meg – Jett’s password is: jett
Tiggy – Let me tell you that you are one fantastic, strong, loving (OGM so many more words) person I think I have ever meet (well not in person):happyforyou: .
Jillian – Hello don’t think I has said hi before, just checked out Immy’s web page those pictures of her hands and feet are so great. In black and white they are amazing, I think I am going to take some of Jett’s they are chubby and so sweet at the moment.
Beck - Good luck to John, fingers crossed.
I started this post @ 7pm tonight but my friend came over so I will do more personals tomorrow.
:bedtime:
Goodnight all
Take Care
At Abby's appt yesterday she weighed 7.03 kg. What are your bub's weights?
Hi everyone, I officially feel as crap as ever after my 7th night of about 4 hours of interrupted sleep. I am finding Tim is being USELESS and hasnt' helped since she got sick. What is with that? I am so angry at him for leaving it all up to me that I can't talk to him or even look at him in fear of going so crazy that they'll take me away.
Why does he do it? He helps when Im well rested but not when i really need him. I am furious.
Sarajo, coco weighed 7.5kilos the other day at the Doc's...not sure if that's way big or what.
Beck, don't worry, those comps are rigged I say!!! Maddy's beautiful and should've been in the finals.
And very good luck to John for his interview. I know how you feel!! Tim is still on a crap wage, Im hanging for the day he gets his degree and some better pay (a couple of years away), but on his wage with four people, it's a huge struggle.
better go and feed coco. She seems happy today but the cough is at it's worst, just won't stop (and i have it too, we sound so ridiculous together).
talk later xooxox
Awwww.... {{{{{Meg}}}}} Sorry to hear you're still having really rough nights with Coco being sick at all. I totally hear you about a certain DH not being much support or help at night. Don't you just want to punch them sometimes? They offer to help but when it comes down to it, it's suddenly 'your job' because they have to work in the morning. I can't remember the last time a Mummy had a 9 hour day!
Gosh, I don't know how you do survive on a small wage with 4 and a mortgage. We're struggling with no mortgage and having to pay a small rent with our repayments for the car. Can't wait til we've paid off the car and we have $150+ a week extra to spend on other things. Still three years away though.... :( You're amazing girl!
Dani - good on you for recommending BB to your mothers' group friends! It's always great to have more friends here; and more babies to goo over! hehe Hope you enjoyed having your friend over and don't feel too bad about eating/scoffing down some Chinese. OMG you make me want to binge on prawn crackers right now! *L* Chinese certainly isn't the worst you could have eaten, I think I win with my Whopper Cheese value meal I had for dinner last night! hehe
Sara - Thanks for the support....I shouldn't have been so down about Maddy and the comp, I just wanted everyone to see & share how beautiful my little girl is! I have no idea how much Maddy weighs....the last time I had her weighed was at her immunisations @ 4 months. She was 6.1kgs then. For all I know she's a heffalump now and like 8kgs! *LOL* She's certainly looking very rollypolly at the moment.
I don't think charts are much to worry about, but according to the latest charts for girls at 6 months, the 50th percentile is 7.3kgs.
Hi All,
Well 6th months must be the sick time for babies. This morning Jett woke up with a blocked nose and cough. He seems fine, so I am not worried at the moment. May too be because of his injections. He woke this morning at 5:30am not to sure why, I just hope it is a once off..
My God, It is so bloody cold, poor babies must be even colder as they are not mobile yet.
Beck - No good about Maddy and Take five, is she in an agency??? Maybe that might help.
Sam – I have Jett in front of Raggs now, he has been a terror last night and God I am not used to it after such a good month.
Sarajo - Jett’s six-month measurement are; Length: 70cm
Head circumference: 45cm
Weight: 9240kg
What a whopper hey!! I think most boys are bigger than girls; most of my mum’s at mother groups girls are about the same. Little girls are just so sweet; I love having a cuddle when I get the chance. I really wish I do have a little girl second but if not I would be happy with either, really.
Meg – God I think it is most men!!! I think they just think that it is all up to us, they are the bread winners and we are just MOTHERS. My god some days I just want to slap Ben. It would help your emotions running on 4 hours sleep either. I know when Jett was really bad I was the same any little thing would set me off, Ben would bloody cop it. It is worse too as he is not around when all the hard work needs to be done, sometimes it feels like you are the mother and the father, I am with you it really sucks…
Take Care all
I will catch up later
Dani, Jett is not a whopper! :) He looks so healthy...the MCHN must be so impressed with you & your little man!
Beck, fingers crossed for DH. Sorry that Madyy didn't get in the top 20:( She IS beautiful. It's just a stupid magazine and ONE persons opinion, we all know differently
Dani  thank you. Sorry to hear that Jett is sick too. Hope it is just his injections. Good on you for walking...yummo at the take away. I'm hungry just thinking about it.
Sarajo - Noah weighs 8.2 kgs. For his adjusted age (4 mths) - he is on the 97th centile!!! But he is just perfect for a 6 monther! I think they are all perfect, no matter what size. Ivy is little compared to him, she weighs 6.8kgs. Mind you, she was only 5.8kgs just over three weeks ago! So I'm glad to see she is chunking up!
Meg:hug: to you too, sorry that you are feeling crap. I think, like the other girls, it must be all men. Although my DH doesn't get a choice he HAS to help, I still have to ask him to do things. Why is that? He expects me to do stuff but I have to ASK him????
Jillian, WOW a tooth! How exciting! Hope it's not too painful for your little Immy.
Well, it looks like the gastro is not finished with the babies yet, Ivy poor red bottom is getting worse:crying: No more vomiting though, other than the reflux. I can't wait til we can go back to the chiro
Oh and I hear you all on the one income thing, I find it very hard but work for me is not an option yet. I'll go back on night duty, when the babies sleep through the night because my Dad used to look after the kids when I worked during the day and now he is gone, so is my support but we will work it out.
Ahhh....*sits down and relaxes* Trying not to be nervous as John is in the middle of his interview right now. Maddy has just gone down for a nap with nothing more than a squeal as she was playing in her cot. I noticed she's starting resting her head down on the carpet when she's tired when she's in the middle of playing. It's now about midday that she does this rather than 10-11am. Guess it's just her getting older and managing to be up for longer.
I've neatened up after the bombsite my DH has left getting ready this morning, done the washing up and prepped the vegies for the roast lamb dinner tonight. Hopefully the lamb will be thoroughly defrosted soon! Eeek!! *LOL*
Jillian - WOW on Immy's tooth! Hope that it will cut quickly and she will be back to her beautiful self soon...although I don't remember you mentioning her even being out of sorts anyway! :) I've never heard of your high school...was it on the northside?
Tiff - hope that darned gastro goes away soon and the twins are exempt from further sickness for a few months at least! Sorry to hear about their poor little red bums... Great point about men! They DO just expect you to do stuff, yet expect you to ask them for the help they should be offering. It amazes me how they're all gung-ho when your TTC & pregnant saying how much they're gonna help, but when it comes down to the crunch they can be so hard to get them to help!
Dani - hope poor little Jett gets better really quickly, those colds really knock them around! Actually, I hope it's just a small little reaction to his needles and that it isn't even a proper cold. *LOL* We put Maddy in front of Raggs this morning and her attention span lasted about 2 seconds before she turned back to DH & I and expected us to entertain her! *L*
Meg, can you put Coco down for a nap on your bed and have a snooze with her? That was the only way I could get Maddy down two days ago, and both of us got to have a rest for an hour & a half.
A big howdy to all of the rest of you girls! Hope all of your babies are healthy and thriving as per usual! :)
Just quickly(want to try to get 5 min nap in), Beck, i saw Take 5 and all the kids are much older (think there were 2 8months and the rest were much older, so it wasnt' a fair comp anyway. Once our bubs grow a bit and get hair (!!??) they will have a chance!!! Poor coco has a huge bald spot on back of her head.! Classic!
xo
You're right Meg, it wasn't really an even competition. There was supposed to be two sections of the competition; one for babies up to 3 years and one for over 3 years IIRC. There seem to be an awful lot over two years.
So it seems all men are the same!!!!!!!!! SO unimpressed with Tim. He hasn't even called me during the day once this week (and has been home late every night). You would think he would call to see how either of us are. It's ok for him, he thinks he's got it hard working. I have a friend who works 5 days and has two kids. She went back to work for a "break"!!! And like Beck said, we don't get 9 hour days, our day doesn't end.
I am trying to organise tillys party for tonight. She's having it at GPK, but Im trying to think of a game to play at the table. Do you think pass the parcel would be ok? Tilly mentioned it, and I thought it might be too young, but there's not alot else we can do at a restaurant table!!
coco seems to be refusing my vegies and only eating fruit....Last night she ate my vegies (so I gave her double to make up for lost time) but she's fussing today. could be her cold, but it is SOOO annoying when I spend so much time cooking and then she doesn't eat it. I also have jars of veg that she is refusing. I should be used to this with Miss Fussy, Tilly!!
Anyway, i've just cooked her some parsnip, brocolli and zuchinni!! I'll get mum to give her some tonight while she's minding her!!
hope everyone's having a good day. Was planning on doing personals but MIL has just arrived xoxo
Thanks Jillian! *L* I feel like such an ijit, was just coming on here to post that I re-read the article and there are 60 finalists, not 20! *slaps forehead* So there's still hope! :)
Oh and IIRC stands for If I Remember Correctly. Lazy speak for people like me! hehe
Hoping I'm not jinxing us, but John's interview went REALLY well. Even though they were interviewing today several people (there are a couple of positions available), they rang the recruiter straight after John's interview to tell them what they would be offering (less than we were hoping but still quite a bit more than we're getting right now) for the position. The recruitment guy sounded quite confident that John would be getting a 2nd interview. I'm so proud of my man right now, even if he doesn't get the job. Hopefully he will though.... :) *crosses fingers*
Ok, just had THE worst Mummy moment ever. John was downloading things on the computer while I was getting the Roast Lamb dinner served. I left Maddy in the pram for a few moments while I dished it out and took my eyes off her for a few seconds before hearing a loud thud. Maddy slid herself out through the bottom part of the pram and landed with a thud on the tiles, head and all. WAHHH!!!!! She's ok, she turned purple trying to scream before I blew in her face and she wailed for a few minutes. John rang his Dad who told us what to look for in case she's concussed herself and we've checked her over...she has a few red marks from where she collected herself on the pram but seems to be ok. If anything happens, we'll take her up to emergency.
Oh my god guys, I'm sure you're not as bad as me but please, never leave your bubbies alone even for a second. I cried, felt like such a bad Mummy. :(
Oh no! Beck! How scary!! I would have cried too. I'd still be crying, poor you and poor Maddy! I hope she is ok! Keep a close eye on her tonight, poor bubba! You are not a bad mother! Babies fall sometimes.
Everyone else, hope you are all well. Hope all of your babies are well. I just stopped in for a second, but will be back tomorrow to catch up properly.
Take Care & Have a Great weekend. Catch up with you all tomorrow.
P.S I havent seen Rach around for ages.... Rach are you still with us??
Hello Ladies,
My goodness has anyone else had a very unsettled baby after this round of injections?? Jett has been full on since Wednesday, he was so so hard to get to bed tonight.
Beck – The MCHN said that he is doing great, and that I was doing a great job. So that makes me feel great.
I am glad you cleared that IIRC thing up cause I had no idea either, just was to embarrassed to ask.
Glad to hear that John’s interview went well, hopefully good news will be on it’s was to you all soon. Finger’s crossed.
You poor things… You are a great Mumma!!!! I did the same thing to Jett when he was only 8 weeks old. DH Ben had not attached the bassinette part of the pram to the pram (I have a Beema, and it has clips that attach the two together) anyway it wasn’t clipped up. We have three steps at our front door and I was wheeling the pram down them not knowing that it was unattached and the bassinette went sliding off the pram and hit the concrete with Jett in it.. He did that same thing as Maddy; he turned purple/red/pink trying to scream. OMG it was something I never want to happen again.
Meg – Hope Tilly has a great Birthday, hopefully it all goes smoothly. God after our chat about DH today I wanted to punch Ben. Why is it so hard to put dirty washing in the hamper and rubbish in the bin? Oh, I was wild. I found cotton buds, dirty clothes and bills stuffed in the wardrobe. Arrrrrhhh.
Oh so true about the hours that mother’s do, I never really understood how hard this job was until I started doing it.
Kate - I still haven’t got the emails, my address is danielle_leith@hotmail.com
Tiggy - Wow the twins are doing great by the sounds. They are catching up very quickly. How are you going??
Jillian - I was n't to worried aout Jett's weight, he is quite long too so it will all work out. I don't think Jett is ever going to get teeth. One of the little boys in my mother's group already has 5 teeth....
:hello: Hi to Sarajo, Christie, Sami, Rach and anyone else lerking about...
Anyway betta go and have an early night for a change.
Take care all
Thanks Kate & Dani for the support...I was an emotional wreck last night and found it difficult to sleep. Brought Maddy to bed with me so I wouldn't spend the whole night checking her cot to make sure she was still breathing. Turns out she appears ok, fed like her usual little leechy self and is currently rolling around the cot squealing.
Dani, wow; I can't believe that happened to you with the bassinet/pram when Jett was only 6 weeks old! I hope he didn't actually hit the concrete bit! Did you end up beating up Ben? *sigh* Men are so hopeless. After I slaved over the oven cooking the roast and then having to deal with feeling so terrible about Maddy's fall, DH went off to bed last night leaving me with an awake baby and his dishes (and mine) still in the lounge room and a messy kitchen. So much for help huh?
Well, we're off to breakfast in an hour with my school friends and then I have a driving lesson this afternoon. Hopefully that was my last go with a traumatic Mummy moment for quite a while. 'Tis raining here still up in Brisbane! :)
Oh Beck, you poor thing. There is nothing worse I know. I had two incidents, one wiht my sister. I was 11, she was baby, and I dropped her. Do you know I never told anyone. (until recently) but it was ok, I spent the entire day and night checking on her breathing OH MY GOSH, I felt awful and scared. Then when Tilly was 6 months, my friend had BEGGED to mind her and I finally gave in.Last thing I said was NOT to take her eyes off her. Anyway, she did take her eyes off her and she went from bed onto floorboards (extra high bed). I did not sleep all night. My thoughts are with you, but she's obviously ok and you are NOT a bad mumma, not at all.
Rach, where have you gone? We miss you!!
SHOCKER night. The party was ok, half an hour too long I'd say (was 2 hours) but the kids loved it. Got home and felt sooo sick I couldn't sleep. coco woke up every hour or so. I eventually got to sleep adn then she needed a feed. After her feed I started coughing and I don't think I've EVER had such a sore throat. Didn't sleep much after that and then Tilly came in for her bday, REALLY early!! So feeling utterly crap now and think I should try to have a nap. Of course Tims not alot of use (I've already been up and done washing up and cleaning, and he has just sat and watched.....GGGRRRR)
talk later xoxoxo
Wow a lot of chatting since I have been on! Sorry no time for all personals right now! Our best man in our wedding is coming for a visit Sunday! So excited. He will only be here for an hour or so though! He has not met Abby yet. THEN in a week and a half I go to Ohio! YAY! I get to see tons of family and friends! I will be there a whole 3.5 weeks! I cant wait! Abby is getting over her cold, and I am starting it! I have a sore throat today, but not too bad.
I feel so bad for you Meg...I hope your fam feels all better soon! Good job on the party! I dont know how you did it sick, poor thing!
Beck accidents do happen! You are a good mama! When Abby was just a couple DAYS old, she was on her bouncer and she had fallen off the edge. She didnt hit the floor, but I cam into the room to see her dangling upside down! My heart just stopped and I cried! Since then she has thrown herself over the side of that bouncer quite a few times, and finally, I had to put it away...no more bouncer for my gymnist! lol!
Yay for John on his interview!
Dani I hope Jett slept well for you! Abby has no sign o f teeth yet either!
Well, gotta go clean while my munchkin is asleep!
:)
We have no sign of teeth either!! I honestly thought they were going to come through 2 months ago!! There's been red cheeks, white gums, etc but no teeth!! That's ok though, as she has bitten me once or twice while feeding, so not looking forward to teeth!!
Sarajo, how exciting about your holiday!! 3.5 weeks is awesome!! I hope you're still going to be able to access Belly Belly!!!!
Dani, Im not looking forward to injections if it leaves them so unsettled. Having her sick has thrown our routine out the window and nights have been so stressful, would hate them to get worse with immunis!! At least I've got sleep school coming up on the 26th...I think by then Im going to be desperate for it. I am hoping I'll get to rest while Im there (actually they offer massages for a small fee, so think I'll be getting one or two of those)!!
Mybaby is 8 years old today!! Wow, this time 8 years ago I was in labour (but had had epidural so was really quite relaxed at this point)!! She was born at 11.50am. It was a 12 hour labour, so not quite as quick as my 1 hour 54 with Coco!! Dont' know which was worse though!!
have a good long weekend guys. I'll be on and off, we have nothing planned. Just dinner for tilly tonight at my mums.
xoxox
Morning All,
Well today looks like it is getting back to normal, thank goodness..
Last night Jett mucked around for hours before finally going to sleep, sorry all but I think it is the injections for sure. So be ready to have a grizzle pot on your hands for a few days afterwards.
Other than that all is good besides the weather, how bloody cold is it!!! How are you supposed to get any washing dry in this weather? My dryer has been going flat out all day yesterday. Five bloody loads what a joke…
Beck – I am so glad to hear that Maddy is fine:) , you poor thing.
Yep, the bassinette hit the concrete but Jett stayed inside it thank god, he got are real fright and so did I. I think I was still crying when I went to bed that night.
Men are certainly for a different planet, I am sure of it. Sometimes it is just easier to say nothing at all then to start an argument I think, they never listen anyway.:(
Have fun at breaky with your friends. Are you taking Maddy??
Hopefully you can get your licence soon and you will not know yourself. I didn’t get mine until I was 20 and that was late cause all my friends you their on there 18th’s.
My Mum has never ever had a licence so when we were little we had to walk or catch the bus everywhere.
Sarajo - How exciting, it is always great to catch up with friends and family.
Meg - You poor thing, I hope that Coco is a good girl for you today so you can get some rest, maybe she could stay at your mum's so you can rest.
I hope you get better soon.
Take care all
Had ANOTHER DH shocker!!! I went to have a nap at 9.30am when coco was and asked TIm to watch Tilly and Holly. I was nearly asleep adn tilly comes in the room(door was shut, I was with coco, door squeaks) so i jumped up to see why tim hadn't stopped her and he was ASLEEP on the lounge. Hello, i only wanted half an hour nap and thought he'd watch the girls (last thing I asked him to do was give them breakfast), so I get up, they'd created a pigsty in the bedroom adn hadn't eaten etc AND coco woke up after 30 minutes. Was so angry.
She has since had two 30 min sleeps which is just not enough, so I know have Tim walking around the unit with her in the HUB!! She actually is asleep which is great. He went to sit down adn I said "dont, she'll wake up". He is suffering big time! I said "welcome to my life"! I spend alot of time with coco in HUB and I can't sit down, it wakes her up.
So he's been in the bad books today!
Also FIL came around and they can't invest as much money into our next place as we thought, so looks like we'll be getting another unit. .Not too happy ATALL, but not much we can do about it. Just feels like we'll never get anywhere. i'd love to live with the inlaws but Tim Coco and I would be living in a room the size of our bedroom now, PLUS all our furniture, so it would be hell.
Sorry for the massive whinge!
I've just been reading slow cooker recipes, I am going to have to get a slow cooker!!
Dani, im glad Jett is on the up. Bloody immunisations...not fun.
talk soon xoxoox
Meg, it's a pity you can't transfer up to Brisbane 'cause you can get a decent 4 bedroom house & land package for $300,000; which in Sydney is the price of a toilet. *L*
Had fun at breakfast with my friends; Maddy came along and charmed everyone sitting in the high chair. In fact, the french waiters wanted to keep her! *LOL* She's none the worse from her fall last night which is such a relief.
Meg, Tim needs a kick up the behind today! Can't believe what a rough night you had last night and that he couldn't even give you the 1/2hr peace this morning. Hope that your precious 'little' Tilly enjoyed her birthday today.
Sara, wow 3 1/2 weeks! I'm with Meg, I hope you can get on the internet at some point to tell us how you're going while you're in Ohio! Regardless, you deserve a break so it sounds like a lovely treat for you. No teeth here either for Maddy...I guess we're all still waiting for the little girls to get their little toothy pegs through!
Dani, oh thats a relief that Jett didn't hit the concrete! I think you're right about not having your license; my Mum didn't get hers until she was 40! Hopefully I'll get mine soon so I can get out and about. Sorry to hear that Jett is still out of sorts thanks to those nasty immunisations. Hopefully he'll be back to his settled self again soon!
Beck, Poor Maddy and poor you.. Don't worry you're not the only one.. Logan fell off the change table a couple of months ago, did a face plant on to the hard wood floors :( we were both crying and he was in so much pain he wouldn't even feed. His top lip swelled up and his face did a little. I got him to suck on a cold carrot and put a cool face washer on his face. I called someone and they told me what to look out for in case he had a concussion.. We went to the doctors and he just had a bit of swelling but we were both so upset. I swear I just bent down to pick up a nappy I'd dropped and he wriggled his bottom down and flipped off the edge. I felt like SUCH a bad mother, and I still do just thinking about it. After it happened everyone I talked to with children said something similar happened to them, where they'd rolled off their bed or slipped out of a high chair or pram.
I'm glad your DH's interview went well, I hope he gets the job.
Meg, sorry about your shocker of a night/morning.. At least the party went well though. Happy birthday Tilly!
I'm trying to convince Mum I should get a slow cooker, since it'll be taking up room in her already cramped kitchen.
Dani, I'm glad things are being to get back to normal & Jett is getting over his unsettledness (probably not a word, but it is now) due to injections. I'm not looking forward to getting Logan done on tuesday, but it's better than the alternative.
Morning all - it is a fantastic morning although the weather is pretty crappy. Bailey went to bed at 8pm and didn't get up until 7:15am. I'm very happy as you can probably tell. We went to bed at 8:30pm - now thats very sad.
Sorry I went missing in action for a couple of days. We actually went to Melbourne on Friday morning and stayed at the Hilton - which was nice and of course Bailey came with us. I didn't get a very good night sleep. We have never had Bailey in our room since he was born and now I know why. He makes so many noises!!! We went up to watch the Mighty Cats!!!!! Well they were this week.
On our way home yesterday we called into the DFO at Essendon. It will be fantastic when it is finished. Heaps of kids shops - stuff was a little cheaper not a great deal though. Of course we will brought things that we probably didn't need. Never mind.
Bailey has to have his needles on Tuesday I'm not looking forward to that. Never mind it has to be done.
Anyway just thought that I would pop on and say hi and see how everyone is. Seems a lot has happened since I was last on. Don't worry Beck things like that happen to everyone. Hope all is well now.
I will talk to you guys soon.:)
Hi guys. How's everyone going?
We had our best night in a week (she woke for 2 hours at midnight and then again at 4am, then up at 7.30am) but she has gotten up this morning and NOT stoppeed coughing for a second. I thought she was meant to be getting better. Really stressful, I just want my baby well. I've been coughing all morning too. Silly thing is neither of us coughed at all during the night. Hope that keeps up!!
I have her booked in on wed for needles, but may not be able to get them if she is not improving. I can't get an appointment until then though, but if she's not better tomorrow I'll have to try to get in and see what's going on.
Sami, sounds like you had a nice weekend away. We actually have to sleep with Coco every night and it is AWFUL. Thus the desperate need for us to move. No wonder we hvaen't slept in 6 months. I usually start the night sleeping on tillys mattress, which is almost as bad!!
have a good day all xoxo
Meg - it took a while for Bailey's medication to kick in. We are now on the second lot of antibiotics which seems to be working now. He still has a little bit of a cough but nothing major. We got told to use "fess - little noses". It is an aspirator which suctions out the gunk from their little noses and it has helped Bailey heaps. Where are you thinking of moving to?
Morning all,
Don't really know why I am up so early as my buba is having a sleep of at his nana's place (my Mum). She rang last night and asked if Jett could come and stay, I was umming and arhing a bit cause he still seems to be very unsettled. Anyway packed up ALL of his stuff (god that takes ages for an overnight play) and took him to Nana's.
Ben and I went to Kmart cause they had High Chairs and PJ’s on sale and the one (high chair) that I got was given to me and was broken (it on reclines and doesn’t lock into upright sitting, he hates being back all of the time).
Anyway long story short Mum couldn't get him to sleep and called me (after telling me not to worry and that I got to 25 and am fine, so go home!!!)
Went there done the wrapping thing put his toy dog in with him and off to sleep he went, mum was a little upset cause I just did it so easy but, oh I am the Mumma...
Sorry to blab on...
Queensland Girls - I think us Victorians have got all of your rain from the other day it poured last night. It is still raining now!!! I hate winter; it makes me feels so sad. That bad in fact the wall in our entrance way was leaking. I have told the real estate and they don't seem too concerned about it.
Meg - you poor thing. Good to hear that Coco is getting a bit better with her sleeping. It is funny Jett started to get better as time edged closer to go to the sleep clinic. I was in to minds about going but then my MCHN said even if he does get better still go cause it is not to see that that night or nights is a once off... I think that massage has your name all over it, you go girl.
I went yesterday and got Jett some Nurofen; his teeth are so close to coming through I think. The doctor said it is a good anti-inflammatory for the gums and it eases the pain, it can also be given with Panadol. I only given him on dose a day cause it really isn’t to good for his little belly.
Sam – Wondered why you hadn’t been on all weekend, I forgot that you were going away for the night. Go the cats finally they won one, a little to late. How did you go with the email about his ticker, did you work it out??
Tiff – Hope all is going well at your place??
Betta go and take the time to get some housework done and finish doing Jett’s cook up. Dose anyone give parsnip to their bubba’s and if so what can I mix with it. The flavour isn’t that great.
Yeah, I am a crawler.
Try parsnip and pumpkin or parsip & potato (I think that combination is served with steak at irish pubs) or parsnip & carrot (my DH's favourite! *L*).
A relatively rough night, I think it's because we're still trying to find the right level of clothes & blankets for Maddy at night. Last night it was a little warmer than it has been so I had to take one layer off her and then put her sleeping bag back on. I think I'm going to have to start trying her in her cot at night. Perhaps a few days of getting up to her in her own room, feeding in the rocking chair and putting her back to bed will get her into a better routine; so in the end I will have better sleep. It's not like I'm sleeping very well right now anyway.
Dani - sorry to hear that you didn't get a totally relaxed night...good on you for giving it a go at letting Jett stay at his Nanna's place last night. Did you end up getting a high chair that you wanted? The KMart sales annoyed me on Thursday night because I went to buy Maddy a wondersuit in 0 for winter (00 is getting too short for her now) and every 0 in wondersuits was sold out, except for like 2 blue ones! Grrrrr....no pink, yellow or white in 0 to be seen. Of course now that 00 is too small for her there were literally hundreds in 00 still left! The rain....we haven't had rain up here in AGES but for the last two days it's been drizzling. Mind you, it's sunny this morning!
Meg - wow, that's still a rough night of sleep but glad you at least got more sleep than you have been getting. I can't believe you manage to survive your conditions, I would have commited a capital crime by now if I was in your situation! Glad that Tilly's party went well. Hope that Coco gets better soon and that nasty cold goes away. Sam's right though...it'll take a few days for the antibiotics to kick in, probably the better part of a week.
Sami - oooohhh!!! Sounds like lots of fun, your trip to Melbourne! :) Glad that your team finally won though...I'm only really starting to get into AFL now, I was brought up a league supporter although I love my sport. Soccer, Rugby, League, Gymnastics, Cricket.... :) You have the DFO down there too? Cool...it's much the same up here with the prices. A bit cheaper but then you end up buying things that you wouldn't normally buy anyway! *L* WTG on the great night's sleep....need some of that sleeping pixie dust that Bailey has shipped up here in overnight express I think! *L*
Well better fly...house is in shambles and looks like bomb went off in it. Time to do some cleaning while Maddy is happy to lie on the carpet and play with her toys. Speak to you all later! :)
Hi guys!!
We give Coco parsnip, I mixed it with brocolli and zuchinni and then with some pumpkin and sweet pot (she has alot of vegies at once, I find she only likes them if she has sweet pot mixed in).
Sami, wow on teh night sleep!! That's a great sleep, hope it continues. We did our best sleep ever the night before she got sick, but of course that's out teh window now.
I think it's Sydney that's had all teh rain it's been going on and off for a week. no wonder we can't get better. Im happy if melbourne takes it away from us!! Would love to get Coco out in the sun. The sun popped out on thursday and I sat coco directly in it outside, for 10 minutes. Was so what she needed. I think regardless, i'll have to bundle her up and take her for a walk in some fresh air today. We've had enough of the stuffy unit.
Dani, great that your mum had Jett for the night. Just nice to know you can have a little freedom and/or sleep time!!
And don't worry, I go to bed at 8pm EVERY night. Pretty sad, but have to sleep when i can!!
gotta run adn , like Beck, get some cleaning done!!
xoxooxo
*LOL* DH brought out the Hug'a'Bub this morning and asked me to put it on him! hehe I've been telling him for ages he should put it on when he has Maddy. We popped her in (facing outwards) and she was squealing because he was jumping around. She thought it was hilarious. Took a couple of photos which I will load up onto the yahoo photos link off Maddy's website.
