Hi all, Sorry I have been so AWOL but Liam has quite bad reflux and I am to the point to where literally can not put him down during the day. Managed to get a Paed appointment for tomorrow as my GP wont prescribe Losec without a Paed Review. We arent really managing to get out much because Liam wont sleep in the car or the pram or anywhere except our arms, I am waiting on a HAB and crossing my fingers the Losec will work.
Lauren- Ash is only 500gm more than Liam, it must be something about that DOB.
Xtml- I love my twin pram too for getting around with both my kiddies, makes getting out for a walk and a quick trip to the shops doable.
Teena- Sorry to hear you are in so much pain, i hope they find out what is going on really soon.
Nic- Liam is just starting to laugh too, and it just melts my heart he is so adorable when he opens his mouth and lets out a chuckle.
Trish- Liam is rolling over from his tummy to his back, he did it quite early and I thought it was just a fluke but he does it nearly everytime you give him tummy time now. I cant belive how quickly they stop being those tiny newborns.
A big hello to everyone else, I had better go my battery on my computer is just about to die. I will attempt to get in here a bit more regularly and keep up with everyones news.

We have the LC coming this arvo to assist with relactating and i have started taking Blessed Thistle ($25 for 100 tablets - ouch) as well as the Ackivate drinks. I just hope that it all works as with buying formula, tablets & LC we are already out of pocket $150 this week.

Yesterday was our anniversary and because it was 39oC outside until really late we weren't going to take Chrissie out in that weather, but we had a quick change at about 6.30pm and it went down to high 20's so it was great! We went out to dinner! was really nice and Chrissie was an angel, slept the whole time! in and out of the car and when we got home she was half asleep while i changed her and fed her and she went right down to sleep! i think she may be going through a growth spurt as yesterday she had a total of 660ml and slept MOST of the day! so not like her! hehehe
The Nestle NAN Gold is SOOOO agreeing with her... and that pimply rash she had all over her head is gone too! must have beens something in the Karicare that didn't sit right! Definitely seems to be back to her usual self!! :dance:
morgan - good luck with your relactation!! hope the LC can help you out!
Trish/Ali - :clap: on the rolling over!! Chrissie is starting to roll to her side now when she's on her back!! so shouldn't be too long! :D
teena - hope that someone can sort out what's going on! Pain is horrible! especially if you don't know what it is to treat it!!

going to be another scorcher here today, so nothing much planned... just inside with the aircon! poor Chrissie, she so loves to be out and about!

Ali, sorry to hear poor Liam is still having reflux issues. I was going to ask if you had a hug a bub to put him in. Atleast that keeps him upright. Abbey rolls the other way, back to belly. Although yesterday she rolled right over, back to belly then continued on to get onto her back again. Hope the paed has some answers for you.
Morgan, good on you for giving relactation a go. I hope if goes fantastic for you.

Haroula, Happy anniversary hun. Good to hear that the new formula is working for Chrissie.
We are still having issues here with Brandon. He is running away on a weekly basis now. Hasn't been to school in weeks. I have counsellors seeing him, the truancy officer came out on Friday, you name it. Driving me bloody mad.
Abbey is going good. Sleeping very little during the day, but not too bad of a night, once you get her down that is. Takes me over an hour to settle her in the evening.

is anyones bubs being unsettled in this extreme heat...? im finding ash is so unsettled atm and hes getting so stroppy being stuck in the cool side of the house -he cries wen i walk in to the lounge now cos hes so sick of being in there!
got playgroup tomorrow, yay! and Ash starts gymbaroo next month -im back at the gym now too.. last week was the first time i left ash to go and mum baby sat.. was so nerve racking - its amazing how we die for quiet time alone yet miss them like crazy when there gone lol

Buzzie - yeah, Chrissie has been really unsettled too!... especially i found after her night/early morning feed! Also by late afternoon she's all cranky cause she's been stuck inside!... i feel exactly the same way! At least it is meant to get better from now...we'll be heading out today, cause going mad sitting inside!

Monique is cranky with the hot weather too and has been having little spews through the day as well. I hope it is from the heat and not something else going on.
I can't believe how big our bubs are already. It is so fantastic seeing the world through their little eyes and watching them change and discover new things all the time.
My little nephew is currently on his way out into the world so I am hoping my sister has a stress free birth and a fairly quick labour. I can't wait to hold a little newborn again!

Sick baby here again. We arrived in Canberra on Sunday night to Sofia vomiting (thankgod not in the car). She had been a bit snuffly on the Saturday night but seemed ok on the Sunday morning. She has been yuk ever since so today I found a GP in Canberra to look at her and she has a sore throat and lots of mucas but it is not in her chest so I can give her Dimetapp and us the Vaporiser. It was a long trip today to Forbes but it is a relief to be home (even if it is my parent's house). Hopefully she will be better by Monday when we are back in Canberra.
Tinsel - did you want to meet up in Canberra some time the week after Easter?

Congrats tinsel - must be so nice to see a newborn again.. i cant rememba ash being so tiny :(
I think Ash is starting to teeth,...! :( he has a couple white lines on his lower jaw.. i knew something was coming.. he knaws (sp) on his fists so hard they turn red and he makes himself vomit shoving it in so far.. and the drooling is incredible!! today he has been pulling at his ears which may or may not be associated but hes sure going out of his way to pull them.
Anyone else noticed that yet.. ? im unsure if i should give him panadol just incase it might not be worth it :S cant hurt him i guess..

Buzzie - YES i have noticed Chrissie putting her fist all the way in her mouth and chewing! sometimes she sticks a couple fingers between the dummy!! a couple nights i think it has been pretty bad for her and i have given her panadol and she calmed down withing 20min! so there must have been some kinda pain there..it can't hurt.... and drooling has definitely increased!!

Ash had about 4 days straight sleeping from 8.30pm till 5-6am was fantastic, as soon as the heat wave kicked in hes been going to bed no earlier than 10pm and constantly waking for feeds and then taking ages to get back to sleep. last night was alot better tho being cooler!

Sofia is doing the teething thing as well, very unsettled at times and has also found her thumb. Her cold is getting better, she is sleeping a lot but I have her elevated on a pillow so that she can breath a bit better, the vaporiser is helping.

kitten - how often do u use urs? ash has had a blocked nose for ages and i completely forgot about those things. is there a minimum age limit?

Just dropping in for quick OMG here - Olivia slept from 10-6:30 last night then went back to sleep at 7:30 and is still asleep now (11am)! I have had a morning to myself!!! :dance:
WIll have to get her up soon though as I need to head out and want to feed her before then.
Hmmm think I hear her moving now...

wow, these Olivia's sure can sleep.
Buzzie, I just use it as needed but atm don't use the full amount of the liquid as it can be a bit strong for the bubbas
