Aussienic- OMG at your MIL if i were you i wouldnt be taking my children there.....sorry if it sounds harsh but i would be furious not just for the smack but also for the treatment you seem to be getting.
MoM- I have added you to msn. Mine is almost always on i forget to turn it off  How are you anyway? Hows are the kids?
Molly is still really unwell so i havent had 2 mins to myself all weekend. Fri night was horrendous i didnt get her settled until 3am and then DD1 got up at 5am let the dog in her room and he poo'd on her carpet and she walked in it :wall: Needless to say it was beyond DH's capabilities to clean it properly so i had to get up. Yesterday we had a family day as we knew today was going to be a mad rush. We went up to the rifle range and had a shoot. DH left for Vietnam this evening and i am so down about it. It has been planned for ages and i dont mind him going. It was his 30th birthday pressie and i could have gone too but didnt fancy it iykwim esp with the girls and Molly been so young still. I think its just the reality of the been alone with 2 kids for almost 2 weeks. My patience has been really thin lately and TBH i dont know how i am going to cope. I'm sure i will but its very daunting and because my girls have 6pm bed time i think my evenings are going to be SO lonely. He only left at 6pm tonight and i have already cleaned the pantry out to keep my self busy. At this rate my house will be spring cleaned for when he returns haha.

Nic, I would have been p'd off at your MIL too. Perhaps if you see her even looking like she is going to smack Olivia next time you can jump down her throat. Sorry that she still didn't remember your birthday hun too. What goes around comes around hey ;)
Lauren, ahhh I love those feeds, no wonder I have zulu boobs, they get stretched every which way for a feed. let me just say that it gets better... when they wean!
I can't believe that Rob still hasn't told his parents about Ash, maybe you need to just turn up at his house.
Hoody, when your finished cleaning your place feel free to come on over here. I'll even talk with you and keep you company ;) Hugs hun and I hope you don't get too bored.
MOM, was great weather hey. Did you get out and enjoy it ? We were at home for most of the day, sorting out the garage, making space for when we start to get the Christmas laybuys off. Of course you need money to do that. Feel free to add me to your msn too if you want. cooktrisha@hotmail.com I'm a lurker on there, rarely signed in but usually there ;)
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. As MOM said we had fantastic weather. Saturday I pulled down the lounge room curtains and washed them. So nice to have clean curtains in there, brightens the room up. Also got in and sorted out some of Abbey's old (read hardly worn but too small) clothes out. I have 2 huge garbage bags that I have to sort and sell. Anyone know someone who's having a baby girl this summer ?
I am hearing you all on the clinginess too. I can't poop without Abbey whinging. I am leaving her on the floor to cry for longer, although it does my head in. I can't cope with the crying for nothing bit. What ?? can she read! She at my feet now sooking. Far out :wall:Oh she's brang a poo bum with her. Best go change her.
Have a good one girls.

well ive decided im putting it down to seperation anxiety...
nic - wat a bullie for smacking..... grrr i would never want to see them again..
-
I think Olivias issue is separation anxiety too,,
You know I think I am more upset it was MIL that gave her a smack rather then the smack itself.. Olivia didn't even flinch but thats not the point.. its not her child not her call..
Miss is being a booby monster this morning.. 3 feeds in 2 hours.. but I think I ill try breakfast now.. I though she was going to have a nap but no such luck lol

Hi all,
What an awesome day it was yesterday. As MoM said, 33 degrees woot!!!! We took Ty to the trash and treasure markets then the pools for a swim. i picked up one of those big terracotta water purifiers for $10 (they are nearly $200 brand new) bargain!!!
Nic- oh that would have made me so cranky. My SIL smacked Ty on the leg at six months- he rolled over while she was changing him so she smacked him. B!tch. Needless to say, a few harsh words were exchanged and she hasn't babysit since.
MoM- I know Catherine by sight but I'm not sure of she'd know me. All the Camperdown nurses are amazing, I love Mel, she's my favorite.
Lauren- Was going to ask the same ques as Nic after seeing your signature. Glad things are looking promising. Get that secret out in the open asap!! Ty tries the sit up and latch on too but I don't let him- he bites me that way.
Speaking of bf, I think ty might be starting to wean himslef :( He is less and less interested in boob lately- we probably have three real feeds and about two quick latch on's and jump off's. The up side is he is a daddy's boy at the moment- all he wants is dh, not mummy. Nice for some time out for me but :( at the same time.
-
Aww Lori.. I think some days they need less then we think.. Is he eating more? Olivia was having the odd day where she would only feed 3-4 times.. now well I lose count..
Olivia simply won't go to sleep alone.. I am at a loss what to do. She had 3 feed then breakfast then she was super tiered so I put her to bed where she worked herself up to a hysterical cry so Simon went and lay with her and she went right to sleep..
-
Nic- Yep he loves his food nowdays. I've tried less food for more boob but he will have none of it. I have to almost pin him down to give him a feed before his naps and even then he doesn't want much. He very rarely comes to me for it anymore. Maybe your baby girl is just feeling a bit velcro today?
-
Sorry girls, bit out of touch, but just read the last couple of posts. Will try to catch up.
Nic - Kayla won't sleep alone at the moment either. We're co-sleeping beautifully at night, unwrapped. Still wakes for feeds (and doesn't quite 'get' feeding lying down LOL) but then happily lies down and goes back to sleep. But getting her to sleep in her cot unwrapped requires me going in heaps of times to lie her back down, and then as she gets closer to sleep she starts to crack it, and I have to stay with her and stroke her arm til she's asleep. Day sleeps I tend to still wrap her coz I can't be stuffed with the whole process of going in and out. But today she still needed me to stroke her face to go off to sleep. So yeah.. my self settler is slowly losing the knack!
-
Nic, I thought u might be the person to ask, i want to get a bike and pull Ash along, but im unsure what is better the baby seat on the back of the bike or the cart you have. Have you used both before and prefer one to the other?? and if you have used the seat on the bike, what weight/age does it hold up to???
Liz - thats so sweet you stroke her face to sleep, my mum used to do that to me when i was little.. awwwww the memories. hehe
-
Liz- Maybe we have swapped babies? ;) Ty is self-settling for the first time since he was 4 months old.
Just a quick WOOOT!! Ty slept for 5 and three quarter hours last night- our second longest ever stretch (our longest was almost 6 months ago for 6 hours). I feel like a new woman :)
-
Lori- big WOOT for the long stretch. I really dont know how you (or anyone) does it with broken nights. I have been super lucky with both my girls. DD1 slept through from 6wks and Molly was 4-5months. Now though if we have the odd bad night it throws me off for days haha.
MoM- Keep missing you on MSN but will try and chat soon. Hope you are well.
Mellie- Are you still around? Hows my Ryley boy?
Everyone else- Hope you are all well and i am in the club of unsettled bubs at the moment too.
Molly is still battling with this cold. Her cough is so bad she throws up with every coughing fit. She is super clingy which is a bit difficult at the minute as DD1 is as well. I think DD1 is just missing daddy. Its so hard to explain to a 2yo that he will be home in 2 weeks. She tells me he's on a plane on holiday but in the next breath asks for daddy to come home from work. Or she will bring the phone and ask to ring daddy at work.
Molly actually pulled herself up on me yesterday which is a first. She will not normally put any weight through her legs. She is also trying to commando crawl but only succeeds in going backwards lol. She is getting so frustrated.
Well off to dry my hair b4 it looks worse than it did b4 i washed it. :)
Take care all

Lori: Olivia is just velcro non stop this week.. Simon is just putting her BACK to bed again *sigh*
Woot On that sleep by the way!!! Hope it gets longer and continues more often!!
Liz: Olivia is happy if I just stand there with my hand on her back but sometimes it simply isn't possible to do this for half an hour.. It gets very frustrating! I hope Kayla starts sleeping a bit easier for you
Lauren: I simply can't use those bike seats.. Poor Ethan got dropped onto his helmetted head when I first tried to push the bike.. I rode it once and just about stacked it lol.. Seriously do not recommend them.. Kmart has the 2 kid bike trailers for $119 at the moment.. Well thats what in the catalogue i read tonight. They say to use helmets and not before 18 months but Olivia sits in a toddler seat that comes off a pram but you could easily put Ash's car seat in and go from there.. I didn't have room for JAcob which is why I had to find another solution.. They are brilliant.. and Olivia just loves it...
oh and I don't know the weight limit on the bike seat.. I have it downstairs somewhere but it is probably covered in spiders now lol.. Have you heard of the Wee ride? It mounts on the front of the bike.. between you and the handle bars.. just google wee ride.. but personally I would go for a bike trailer cus then you have room for all your gear you might take with you.. bags water bottles ect.. and if you happen to fall off your bike the trailer stays put but if bub is on the bike with you they go where you go kwim... phew that was long hehe
Hoody:  on Dh being away.. I hope Molly gets better soon.. Colds just suck!.. A humidifier might help with her cough.. I have heard but not yet tried this.. baby vicks on thier feet then a pair of socks.. apparently it is meant to help..
Well been a good day here... I cheated on BB with another forum but in my defense lol.. they had more people from my area so I thought I would join to get to know them as well.. So today at the last minute I got up the courage and went to thier meet and greet.. Well 2 hours later I felt like I finally fit in somewhere.. most people I know only have 1-2 kids and these girls had 3 or 4 and I just felt like I belonged.. They also have kids the same ages as mine. and 2 of the kids will be going to Prep with Isaac next year and 2 of them are around the same age as Olivia.. I really enjoyed myself..
I also had a child health appointment for jacob and Olivia. olivias was to get weighed as I really feel she is too tiny.. Well she has only gained 400 grams in 4 months. She was 8.1kg at 6 months and she is 8.5 now. The nurse did say that overall Olivia is healthy and happy but she would like to see her gain a bit more..
Tonight my miss had finger foods properly and she loved and she even put her spoon in the bowl and ate off it.. I was most proud lol.. .. Olivia has already woken once tonight and I have decided that I will give a dose of panadol.. I really think she is getting those bottom teeth... or has a tummy ache cus she isn't pooping like she normally does..
Well after that marathon post lol.. I shall say goodnight.. My fingers are chatty!!

Hey girls!
I have been lurking regularly while at work but there is a firm policy that we are not to post on forums using work PCs so I have been good there.
And unfortuntely now I have to be quick cause it is late and I am tired!!
Ollie is growing well - he has been off the boob since 7 months as I am not a very good cow when separated from my calf - wokring full time just killed any supply I have. Little bugger wasn't keen on the before-work-after-work feed routine either! But I am happy I at least got him to 7 months.
He is commando crawling, not walking like some of your bubs! Flynn is still affectionate towards him but occasionally mashes his face into the floor when they both go for the same toy.
Better go - keep up the good work, all you mums! Your bubs are all thriving!
-
Hi good to hear from you :)
glad the Olly is doing well :)
-
Aussienic- yep the humidifier does do wonders we have had it on day and night for 3 days now and i believe it makes a diff. I have heard of the vick's and socks thing but it never crossed my mine to try it  Next time she wakes i will. Thanks for your kinds words :kissing:
Well both my girls are asleep but for how long i dont know they are both full of snot it amazes me where it all comes from. DD1 has 2 mini black eyes :wall: its a good thing DH isnt back this week he would wonder what i've been doing to her lol. She is very clumsy when tired and unwell.
Most of you dont know much about Molly but she has had a bit of a slow start. At 4 months she weighed the same as she did at birth and we had loads of weight issues (even now she is only just 8kg) She didnt roll till about 7 months and although i would not class her as been behind compared to DD1 or any other babies similar age she has seemed miles behind iykeim. (i dont care its less work for me so i'm not complaining just trying to explain) Well she has never been one of those babies to put weight on her legs. No matter how much you stand her on your lap etc she just would go floppy. Well yesterday she stood on me for the first time and today she has been rocking on all 4s. OMG i am amazed. It may not sound alot but from nothing to standing and rocking on all 4s in 2 days i am SOOO PROUD. Even my sister who only saw her on the weekend couldnt believe the change in her. Its like she has suddenly realised she has legs. I was beginning to think she'd never crawl (i didnt) but at this rate i think she might be crawling b4 DH gets home.
Sorry its a bit long winded but DH gone and kids in bed i have no one to talk to but you girls :)
-
Hoody: Talk away.. Thats what we are here for :)
While we didn't have a weight problem with Jacob he didn't move till 10 months and didn't even roll till 12 months ( we think he was lazy though) why would he move when he only had to point and grunt and 2 older brothers would run.. When they take off they take off..
Way to go Molly.. Now watch out mum
I think I got a good nights sleep woot! I know Olivia nded up in bed with me at some stage but we all slept so well.. how?? We turned the AC on yay.. its that time of year again LOL.. I always sleep so well in the cold..
-
Hoody - I think it is always exciting when the bubs learn something new. Olivia seems to have long periods of not doing much and then a few days when everything seems to change.
Lauren - I've been thinking about a bike trailer too...
Nic - You hussy! Cheating on us! It would be good to meet up with more people near by though. My Mothers Group are good to catch up with but it would still be nice to meet some more people in the area with bubs.
Hi to everyone else! :hello:
We have a sicky here as well. Poor Miss Olivia has a very gooby nose again and so is waking up a LOT during the night and has now developed a terrible sounding cough :cold:
Well last night DH and I painted our kitchen. Two coats. It is now a nice yellow with a white ceiling. I still have to do the skirting boards and door frames (white) but boy does the colour make a difference. However this morning my shoulders and arms are so sore. I thought I would make a head start yesterday and paint the ceiling myself before DH got home from work, but I think that is what has made me sore. Oh well it is a good 'I accomplished something' kind of pain iykwim.
Hope everyone has a good day!

Hi all,
I feel so refreshed... Ty let me sleep in till 7:30 this morning instead of the usual 5am. Lovely :) But now we are allout wack with the daily routine. Thouhgh I really shouldn't complain!!
Nic- Cheating on us?? That's alright, we'll forgive you. Glad you had such a good time. Ty is also very velcro at the moment. Driving me mental but at least once dh is home it's velcro to him, not me.
Alicia- Those colours sound lovely. Was it you who got your kitchen reno'ed a few months ago? Can't remember, baby brain kicking in and that was a while back. Hope Olivia feels better soon, poor little munchkin.
Hoody- Go Molly, clever girl. Ty is pretty tiny too, monly just 8 kilos. It's such a great age for them at the moment isn't it? I'm really enjoying Ty right now.
Ty finally is pulling himself up, walking along things and sitting himself up on purpose (instead of accidentally then looking surprised at himself!). But the poor little chop looks like he's been in a fist fight, he has that many bruises and scratches on his face. I feel like bad mother- this tiny baby covered in bruises. I want to hang a sign on him that says "mum's not bashing me- I'm actually 10 months old and mobile'. ;)
