Hi everyone, anyone got any plans for new years??? We're hoping to get out to dinner with friends. i dont normally do much anyways :)
Ash is almost walking now, he took a couple steps to mum the other day, but hes getting alot more confident. any day now me thinks..
His attitude has definatly become better, still screams at the top of his lungs, but he is definatly alot less grumpy! i think he felt my stress when we first moved here, cos we're all definatly alot happier.

Hope you all had a great xmas, we had a lovely day and Jake was spoilt rotten again! I swear I could easily open up a toy shop!
Nic - How is Olivia now? Hope she is doing better.
Lauren - Woohoo on Ash almost walking, that's fantastic! We're going to be up the river for new years, we go every year for a week with my brothers and their families but missed out on last year as Jake was only a couple of weeks old and it was 40 degrees all week! This year we're doing 1 day up 1 day back as it's only an hours drive and we have a lot of work to do on our block before we build.

Hey girls. Long time no post! I don't think I've posted since before we went on holidays!
Quick run down: Kayla started taking a few steps earlier in the month, we went camping on the 11th, and during that week she got really confident and got much better at standing herself up without holding on, and now she walks everywhere, very rarely crawls anymore. She's growing up :(
Tallon has been toilet training since Thursday, and was so ready it's been really easy. A star chart with milkyways taped to the end of the rows has been fantastic LOL. He takes himself off to the toilet by himself most times, for both 1s and 2s. I'm very impressed actually. And we had our first outing this morning with no nappy, which went without a hitch. I've also got Kayla back in cloth nappies as of today, so hopefully I won't be buying any more sposies! Woot! Oh, actually Tallon still sleeps in a nappy. He's not waking up dry yet (I dont' think - he's wet when he comes to see me) so I won't attempt night training just yet.
Sounds like you all have had a lovely long weekend. We found out today that DH doesn't go back to work til the 5th LOL. Duh. He thought he only had the public holidays off. So that's a bonus! It'll be lovely having him here so we can go swimming and stuff, something I can't do on my own with the 2 kids.
We're also going to go shopping for Kayla's mattress so we can put her bed together. Still deciding whether to make them bunks or keep the separate. I kinda want to try Tallon in the bunk.. I think he'll be fine.

I am home now.. got home yesterday then went to SIL for xmas dinner and drinks
Olivia is 90% well but Jacob is unwell :( Drs are all closed and Simon back to work tomorrow so if need be will walk up with him.. or something. not sure what I will do.. Maybe the bike trailer.. Simon can usually come home for things like that so I should be right.. His throat is gross and he is so tired.. poor baby... he is asleep again now :(
Anyhoo.. just taking some time out then lunch then a movie here.
aww Nic - hope he is better soon, it is so hard being sick and the hot weather as well.
All is well here - still at mums, will go to Tamworth on Tuesday for inlaws. We set up the paddling pool today and kids had a fun time in it, will probably go back in it later today as it is still over 34 degrees here.

Well it appears sleep is what was needed.. Jacob slept nearly 4 hours and woke up and said I feel so much better :lol: Even simon and I managed a nap.. I stayed up waaay to late last night lol..

Hi all,
Just a vent here- We had the Il's round for Xmas brekkie. they were sposed to come at 7 so we could open Ty's pressies with him before they came- they showed up at 6am. Came in, took over... I didn't even get to see dh open the present that I have been paying off for him for the last 8 weeks :( Then ate and left a huge mess. And MIL didn't even bring us a card- no pressie, no card (one for Ty with $$ in it but specifically addressed to Ty, not to us). I am ok with no presents but I thought it was customary to let people know in advance if we weren't doing presents????????? I was so dissapointed by the whole thing I cried :(
Ok, I feel better after my whinge :) Not much happening here- Ty is cutting another molar on the other side. Still no sign of walking- I think that will be aaaaaages away here- and still trying very hard to :clap: but not quite managing it :)
I am absolutley buggered and can't wait to take the tree down and get some of my loungeroom back :) And damn it is hot hot hot here!!!!

I took the tree down a couple days ago. Normally we have it up till the begining of feb - pure laziness lol - but this yr i was just dying to get back to some normality.
Start work in 2 weeks.. so nervous, but VERY glad it only ended up being one day a week for a while. Im going to ring ABC now and talk to them about starting Ash's orenientation next week.
