Lauren: Ethan was a big boy too.. now he is a tall rake looking kid LOL.. about 4 he shot up and thinned out :D Altough I bet he would make olivia look like a peanut. She is around 9kg now I think.. reweigh on tuesday.. and 75cm tall..

Gosh I can't remember what everyone else said :blush:

Day wasn't so bad here.. Olivia has been pretty good.. Poor bubba has 2 little bruises on her face :( one near her cheek and the other under her eye.. Just climbing accidents *sigh*

She finally gave her daddy some kisses.. boy he was so stoked :D he was like yayayayay i got kisses.. mushy bugger he can be ;) then he had to go to work. and Olivia waved bye bye and even said it loudly as he drove off.. you should have seen the grin on simons face..

Lauren - grew up in the northern suburbs (salisbury north to be exact but i don't like admitting that to many people lol) but we now live at freeling, which is about 15 minutes north of gawler, so an hours drive from the city. Where abouts where you?

Nic - how cute Olivia giving her daddy kisses and waving goodbye! My DH is the same, tries to be a tough guy but when it comes to Jake he just melts!

Hello to everyone,just wanted to pop in & say hi.
I haven`t been on here much,DH & i have been busy with the family & getting the kids out of the house,catching up with friends,etc.....while some still have holidays.
Kieren is also starting to pull himself up onto our lounge now,so i suppose we will be hearing some Boom,Crashes some days soon,lol.
they are all very cheeky and daring at this age.
Well I?m off to do some shopping now & the others are going to a cricket BBQ,later.

adkins - my nanna lives up that way. Mum was raised out in salisbury. im not familiar with freeling. We were right on the other side near the beach end, closer to glenelg way.
Nic - i think Ash is 80cm-something. i didnt look at her notes, but we have his MCHN apt on monday so ill check then.

Need to get some tips on feeding bubs meat... i cooked a awesome shepards pis with lots of veggies and mince for ash and he spat it out, then for dinner he had steak in little pieces and spinach (loves spinach) and steamed veggies and potatos and of course spat that out too..... how an earth do i get him to eat meat!!! the gastrointaologist (sp?) said i have to start from the beginning and mush it cos its the texture hell be spitting out, not the taste, but hes not going to get enough in his body if i puree it with other things... any tips ??? he loves chewing on the bones like chops and stuff, but i dont think they actually get much meat off? or do they?

Ash did so much better at ABC yesterday, i hid for a while and he cried a little but clinged to the lady and she was just great with him. Ive asked my boss to start one week later so i can do a week of half days before the full days! still waiting an answer.

Speaking of waiting for answers, i think Robs parents are still at the beach on there holidays. A friend said they could be there, i forgot they go every year. Im guessing they would be back next week tho... surely being the 12th most ppl go back to work then?? maybe?

Woo hoo getting my hair done in 4 hours... cant wait!!!! yippie

Not to bad a night here.. Only woke cus I needed to pee.. To much to drink at night :lol:

I have been cleaning my a@@ off this morning. now Olivia has just gone down for her morning nap I am sitting with a coffee.. I Can't believe it is cool enough here to drink coffee at this time of the day

Nic - thats great you got some sleep, i think ill have to feed off your excitement, from the time i put Ash down to waking up this morning, he woke 7 times... hmmm :(

Thats so sweet about olivia kissing her daddy! awwww I think ash is getting men phobia, twice when dads came to pick there kids up yesterday from ABC he SCREAMED and clinged onto me.. i was SO upset!!! :(

Oh forgot to mention, i booked Ash in to start swimming lessons on the 24th! yay exciting!

Lauren - Olivia LOVES these chicken balls that I make and beef meatballs with her vegetable pasta. I can send you the recipes if you like.

Lauren: I just give Olivia whatever we eat.. even with strong flavours.. If she doesn't like the strong flavour (rare) I cook up some veges for her

I can't remember the age on incremin but it is a source of Iron and helps increase appetite.. so he might be likely to eat the meat kwim? There are plenty of kids vitamins out there that help give kids nutrients they are missing.. We quite often pick up a bottle for the boys especially when they are under the weather or not eating well.. I can't remember ages on them though..

I would go talk to your pharmacist.. Plus vegetarian babies survive without meat.. We didn't give Ethan meat till he was 14 months old because we felt that he was already a big child and was on formula and was getting iron from there that we felt he didn't need it.. Our wonderful GP agreed..

Anyways.. thats my ramble for the evening

Buzzie - Only way I can get Loren to eat meat is to buy the best mince you can get, fry lightly, add some water and stock and thicken with flour and water to make a gravey and then puree. I then freeze it into cubes. Loren is starting to eat some chicken pieces, sausages and lamb bones but will not eat anything else.

Nic - My Olivia pretty much eats whatever we eat too now. I have to admit it is so much easier. I still have stuff in the freezer for her just in case we are eating something she wont, or can't, eat.

Lauren - Olivia also loves spinach and beef lasagne, plenty of iron in that :D At least chewing at the chop bones is giving Ash a taste of meat.

Alicia - the balls sound yummy i would love the receipe please.

Nic - the gastro.... Said give him incremin too, but she wants to wait till the blood test results to see his levels first... im not happy about more needles after his immunisations last week :(

The antibiotics are giving him really bad green diahrrea ! has anyone got that from medicine b4??? i dont know if i should keep giving it to him. i might ask pharmasist..

yeh Olivia has had green poops from Ab's before.. I usua;;y decide on how the child is feeling before I decide to stop. It all depends on how you think Ash is doing.. mummy's instinct kicks in..

They always say to finish the bottle ect but sometimes I think its to much kwim?

As for incremin and vitamins.. The body will get rid of what it doesn't need.. not 100% on the iron though but there is a very small amount of iron in it..

You can refuse the iron test if you want.. We did for Isaac once because he had had so many iron tests done. We thought what difference would it make.. Just couldn't face sticking him with a needle yet again..

Anyways if you decide to do it they will most likely want to do another one in 3 months to see how his levels are doing.. Well thats what they did with Isaac..

thanks for that info nic. im so confused with what is right or wrong to do. I will ring her in the morning cos she said they get better results of testing iron in poo itself so ill ask her if we can just do that maybe??

Im so happy today my boss said its ok for me to start work a week later. I asked if i could cos im SO not reaady to put ash in a full day. So this week he'll do half days and full days the following week. The ladys at ABC said that is a good idea. At least now it means i dont spend my bday at work and miserable with Ash in care!

i missed season 4 cos it was too hard with ash being so little i never got time, i need to get it and watch the whole season before this one starts!!

Sorry you had a sucky night.. Olivia wone just as we were going to bed.. I was so peeved off. and then there was no way she was going bck into her own bed *sigh* Oh well she then slept till 7 so wasn't completely sucky..

As soon as the tennis finishes so not sure...

thats a pretty good night even if she was with u... :)

I don't watch normal tv so I didn't even know the tennis was on :lol:

and it was a good night for her but I always wake up thinking she has gotten off the bed or is under the blankets or something..
