Hi Everyone,
Zara sounds like she is very switched on Snowy - I hope she TT's for you before the new arrival. Genevieve is resisting TTing with her usual stubborness so I am trying really hard not to push her and let her do it at her own pace....
Well as you can see from my ticker, Genevieve is going to be a big sister around the time of her 3rd birthday. We have had an early bleeding scare but things have settled down so fingers crossed that they continue to go well. We started TTC on the 1st June and I think that we hit the jackpot first try (again) so it was a little bit of a surprise as I was sure it would take a bit longer....
Hope you are all well and coping with your little (almost) 2.5 year olds!

Been a long time!!
Nai! That's fantastic news, congratulations!
Snowy, We are trying to train Ben at the moment, he loves sitting on the potty, but even half an hour later he is still sitting there, reading his book. Then as soon as i put his nappy back on, he does something.
My family are all doing well. A little while back Dh was asked to sign a new contract at work, LONG STORY SHORT, he didnt sign the contract, so is now looking for a position at a different company. The good news is that he only posted his resume on a job site a few weeks ago, and already he has been picked up by Hays and has had a few interviews. they all look good, so fingers crossed it works out. Of course that means we have to put off our moving back to Australia plans. I suppose we will just have to wait and see. who knows where we will be.
We are off to England for a week in August. Ben starts going to Kinder early August - I'm kind of regretting signing him up though, we went a couple a weeks ago and he seems much too young!
I hope you are all happy and healthy!

Hello girls!
Well I am happy to report that Zara is fully toilet trained. Sure we have accidents still but not very many. Once every 3-4 days or so, which is no biggie. I still have no idea how long she can hold it for... sometimes she is like she's sprung a leak and wants to go every 5 mins .. but that's usually when she has to poo I think and she can't figure out what the sensation is. Funny little monkey. But we are out of nappies... so that is great! Just at night time we use a nappy.
Furniture is ordered though the more I think about it, the more I think it will be for this baby and not for Zara.. she seems too content sharing with Wolf and has no inclination to sleep in her room... oh well.. fine by me.
Less than 5 weeks until the caesarean.. I can't believe it's just around the corner! The pregnancy has certainly flown!
Which brings me to Nai: CONGRATULATIONS!! Very happy to hear you are due with no.2!
Hope everyone else is well.. better run, someone doesn't want to sleep just yet!
Snowy

HELLO!!!!!!!!!! anybody out there??
Just wondering how everyone is going?
Alot of things have changed for us. We have now moved, Dh is now working at a company in Karlsruhe (near the black forest, VERY nice area). It was too good of an offer to say no, so we made a HUGE leap and moved 450kms away. No plans about number 2 at the moment. I'm having a bit of a stressful time with Ben. For the past 2 weeks he has been acting up and is really hard to handle. Please tell me its just a phase???
We moved here just over a week ago and the in-laws are visiting (AGHHHHHHHHH!). They are finding it hard being so far away now... honestly, I'm very happy to finally have my distance. But I'm having a terrible time trying to cope with having them stay with us. I thought they were only going to stay for 2 days and it ended up being 5 or 6. SLOWLY GOING MAD.
Well, I really hope you are all happy and healthy!!
-
Kaydee, I know what you mean about being a handful!! Apparently it's something that 2 year old go through *sigh*. Everything at the moment is a negotiation - I can't believe I spend hours every day negotiating with a 2.5 year old!
We aren't having any luck at all on TT front. Genevieve is still resisting although this morning she suggested that she sit on the potty while I was on the toilet and she did a wee so that was a massive breakthrough.
-
Good news on the move Kaydee...bad news on the in-laws! Bite your tongue and hopefully they will have loooooong gaps between visits!
We are having a similar thing with Aiden. Just once every 2/3 days but he goes quiet and rangs to his room crying...and then won't speak...he's so stubburn!
I believe it's because they are at a crossroad in ages...not a baby but not a big kid either. And i think they are getting frustrated buy this...Aiden decided he wanted to get toilet trained a week ago, just a couple of accidents which is great.
Snowy - i hope Leni is well. How's life with 3?
Nadine - How are you going?
Congrats Nai on #2...i hope you are well.
Take care
-
narelle - if i bite my tongue any harder it will fall off. It's getting to the stage where i even cracked at FIL because he told me to put my toast back because he is going to get bread rolls from the bakers (like EVERY morning). I just told him that i dont want to eat rolls everyday and that it's just too much (it's a special Sunday thing for us). Everything has to be perfect and so proper all the time... I just want to live the way that we live. Not have to run to the bakers at 5am and set the table like a 5 star restaurant 3 times a day - and not have to serve them like a waitress.
We are having no luck with the TT either. I think i need to gather more information about how to do it properly. I bought "the contented toddler years" the other day in desperation for the tantrums, it should arrive in the post tomorrow. I hope there is a section on TT.
-
Hey everyone, does anyone read here anymore? Just thought i'd see how everyone is going?
We are good, after a few weeks of trying to TT we have finally cracked it and he poos and wees on the toilet. We have a sticker chart and to begin with when he got 5 stickers he got a little toy now he is doing so well i've made it 10 stickers, he is going so great its such a relief to have him finally get it! I'm keeping him in nappies for naps and night time not sure when i'll wean off them prob not for a while...Other than that he is great, loves playgroup now and playing with the other kids!
Milla is crawling now and standing up on furniture, its so different with your second to your first, hubby has said he would like another so in 6 months or so we will prob be TTC again...scary thought!
We are going to the inlaws for Christmas in Townsville, should be nice, my dad shouted the airfares which was super nice!
Kaydee, how is it going in the new place? So you won't be coming home now for a while? Hope its all going well?
Hope everyone else is going well, Can you believe the kids are going to be 3 in a few months!!

Hi everyone,
We are going well. Kayla is growing up too fast and yes is a little bit stubborn at times. I think it is the age? I am hoping it doesn't last long. Does my head in some days, lol. But other then that we are good. We are still TTC too. I had my tubes flushed a few months back and fell pregnant the cycle after that, but sadly had a miscarriage at 5 weeks, so we are back to TTC this month and I am hoping it won't be too far away. I don't want Kayla to be a single child so I am really determined that we conceive again. All in good time I guess. Atleast i know the tube flushing worked.
TT- Kayla does her poo's on the toilet and we are working on wees. I am a bit slack and forget to put her in undies but I am starting to remember more now. it definately helps her alot being in undies rather then a nappy.
Otherwise there isn't much to report.
-
I can't believe the kids will be 3 soon! We have also been on the TT mission and Genevieve has been fantastic. She had a couple of accidents at the start but is now only wearing nappies at night and IF she decides to have a nap during the day. Her nappy can be dry after her nap but not always so I'm keeping it on for the time being.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss Nadine and I hope you get a BFP again soon. I know what you mean about not wanting your DD to be an only child (even though I am one myself and it has never really bothered me).
-
Oh Nadine i'm so sorry to read that, i have everything crossed for you guys! Take care!
-
Sorry to hear your very sad news Nadine. I had also read it on another thread and my heart sank for you and your DH as I knew you wanted bubs #2 so badly. My only advice is keep trying and keep positive thoughts. we were in the same boat after #1 and now we have 3...go figure. I'm sending thoughts of sticky vibes your way!
aiden is tt also...we have only had 1 or 2 accidents. He's dry if he falls asleep during the day (he doesn't had a set nap everyday anymore) and he wakes dry 6 out of 7 mornings but i don't want to risk it just yet so i will leave him in nappies at night for a bit longer.
cale is nearly 1, not crawling but bum shuffles across the floor. he's talks flat out though...i thought zara was talkative but im sure this kid could talk under water, ha ha!
zara is getting ready to head of to school next year. she's had some orietation days and has 1 left in december for the whole day...god im going to miss her when she's at school.
i hope everyone is well.
take care narelle

It is so great to see so many replies!
Nadine, I'm also sorry really for your loss. it sounds like you are still really positive though and that is very important. I really hope it happens for you soon and i'll keep my eyes open for your announcement :-)
Wilson - the new place is great. It's so different to where we used to live. I've met a nice American lady who has a little boy who was born on the 23rd Feb 06.. So only 2 days older than Ben. So Ben has a little friend. Dh loves his new job and things are going well.
I am planning to visit home for a couple of months (alone with ben) early next year. We have started talking about TTC number 2. Most likely we will start as soon as the Australia trip is over. I had a huge shock when i realised there will be (if all goes to plan) a whopping 4 years age gap :o. I really didnt want that but time goes by soooooooo fast doesnt it? Originally we wanted a maximum 2 year gap:rolleyes:.
It's great to hear about the kids being TTed. I keep planning to start Ben but things keep getting in the way!! AGHH! note to self: START THIS WEEK!
-
**** I just read in the pregnancy announcements that Mbear is expecting #4!!!! **** Congratulations again Mbear (not sure if you still read this thread....)
Started TTing Ben yesterday. I'm so frustrated. Not one pee in the potty in 2 days. I'm starting to think he isn't ready yet...
-
OMG kaydee...i will check it out...congrats mbear
We have had a terrible week. My SIL nana died on monday (we were close to her too), and then my nana died on wednesday...pretty sad but a real blessing my nana has been in a facility for alzelmers and dementia for nearly 10 years. Im really sad for my dad, as we lost pa his father in april.
I hope everyone is well, take care
-
Wow MBear 4 kids, congrats to you :)
Sorry to hear of your losses Narelle!
WE have sick kids at the moment, harry had a viral infection and was vomitting/runs for a day there its only the second time he has been really sick other than normal colds etc and its so horrible, breaks your heart, now Mims is sick as well.
Kaydee it took us a bit till Harry got it, keep trying and see how he goes, i honestly thought we'd never be out of nappies but it does just click eventually :) it sucks waiting though lol
Are your kids looking forward to Christmas this year? I'm so excited this year cos Harry gets it a little bit and keeps talking about Santa and coming to all the good boys and girls...we might even be able to get a photo this year, last year he freaked out :)
Hope all is good with everyone?
-
Narelle - I'm also so sorry to read about your recent losses. I hope you are doing okay.
Wilson - I hate it when little ones are sick. I hope Harry and Mims are feeling much better real soon!
Thanks for your words, it does help. I hope it does click soon. I just dont think he completely understands yet:doh:
As for Christmas, I am so excited. Ben doesn't understand Christmas just yet, but I'm sure after this year he will get it.
I hope you are all doing great!
Take Care x

Anyone out there?
Hello! HAPPY NEW YEAR to all mums and kids. I hope 2009 is a wonderful year for you all!
How is everyone?
Not much going on here. I have booked my flights to Australia, I'm taking Ben to visit family and friends for a couple of months in April. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope Ben is better on the flight this time. Last time was really difficult, i will be alone again this time. I'm sure everything will be fine.
Ben starts pre-school on Monday. I'm really excited for him because i know how much he loves interacting with other kids and he has really missed it since we moved towns and had to take him out of his pre-school there.
Hope to hear from you soon :-)
