Karlie - It is so hard to keep them entertained in this heat, isn't it? Jasper is getting more and more antsy and doesn't want to go down for his sleeps anymore. Lack of stimulation I guess, it is way too hot to take him into town and I am running out of ideas for at home play. Only another two hot days to go and then back to about 30; can't wait!

Prama - Yay on your mum coming over!! Will be so nice to have her here for Poopy's birthday! Aren't they funny with the things they come up with? Jasper takes his food out of his mouth too but he likes to wipe it all over the highchair and my arm if he gets half a chance... Yesterday he started to make funny 'ow' sounds with his mouth all puckered up, LOL can't wait what we will get tomorrow...

Sonya - LOL, you got to be a good singer, maybe practice the second half of the song a bit more? Did you have a good day?

Kato - Lol, maybe you were an animal trainer in a previous life? I only wish Jasper would sit down when I ask him to. He likes to climb onto the couch, but wants to stand up all the time and doesn't sit down when I tell him to, I might have to try food rewards too! LOL, After training two dogs and a horse I realise raising kids is like training animals; be clear and consistent and reward good behaviour! If only kids weren't so much smarter than animals....

Sue - Oh :hug:, it must be so quiet now.. Lucky they both seem to enjoy school and kinder. Enjoy the little bit of extra time on your hands!

Yes I have on many occasions thought of being a singing telegram worker, But finding the time when I'm busy, busking, impersonating Kylie Minogue, Doing the over 70's Rock concerts etc is very hard, new years resolution must find more time to persue HOT singing career! Arrgg hahahahahah.

Kato - I'm sooo jealous Zane growls at me or actually sounds more like "orrg" when I tell him to do anything like sit down or off the lounge, That is awesome that Baxter does that!!

Sue - Big Hugs, I dread the day I have to say goodbye even for a couple of hours, Such good news the boys like their teachers though, think of all the cool things they will get to do, mothers day stalls (yay!!) the carnivals and all the cool art they will bring home.

Prama - My partents came up too (they live interstate) it's nice having them.

Karlie - Did you find the wagon for Jake? bet your getting excited about tomorrow! What have you guys got planned for the little man?

Esme - I too have also trained the most naughty dog (german shep) and what you said is sooo right Zane, has me wrapped around his finger, I swear he got the "how to make mummy crazy" manual and read it. I too got a little emotional yesterday, I was writting in his card the night before and was fine then yesterday when I read what I wrote I was all teary, just can't believe how quickly the time has gone.

Does anyone's little people like Ragg's?? Zane loves all the music and the colour when I'm at my wits end I put that on when we are playing, just seems to keep him happy for longer? Because he will be playing then the "band" will start singing, he'll watch or do "his little dance"go back to playing, prolongs the boredom, maybe try something like that maybe?? Just a thought?? or Tupperware castles? or maybe a small tub of water with some boats or something if it's really hot??

Party is on today, the cake is made, I have to turned into cake making goddess! Just kidding but it turned out really well, I made a pirate ship...How to I post pictures or am I not allowed to do that yet?

Zane had an awesome day yesterday thanks again for all the kind messages, O and he loved his Bounce and Spin Zebra, his legs are just a tad bit short yet though.

we had a bad night, poopy's second tooth is giving him so much grief, he woke up at 1ish and couldnt sleep. he was in so much pain and has been crying. panadol, teething gel didnt help.
he finally fell asleep abt 4ish in our bed, then he coughed and threw up all over the sheets.. poor darling. steve took out for a bit of a walk at 5ish and then he fell asleep again. i gave him some break fast at 6ish and he threw it again.
he's finally gone to sleep now.. but keeps waking up and crying ...
poor bubba. he's also got a fever..

Oh Prama you poor thing, It's so awful when they are sick like that. Zane has been really struggling at the moment too, He forever has a finger in his mouth chewing it, He doesn't like teethers, We have found that if we give him panadol about 1/2 an hour before bed then teething gel (we use sm33) after his feed (BF before bed) then he has just started sleeping through again. Hope Poopy's little peg cuts through soon, you guys must be so tired....BIG HUGS....

same - poopy doesnt like teethers either.. he just chews on his finger. but he seems to use the teether at other times when he;s fine!
we were using bonjela and the brauer's, neither made much difference. looks like hylands helping a bit.

Where do you get the Hylands tablets, Prama? I have asked for them at the pharmacy but they didn't even know what they were... can you get them online? Just to have some on hand; he will have to get teeth at some stage you would think...

What are Hyland tablets? I have never heard of them??

A friend was telling me that she used fernergon(sp) for her girls when they were teething, she also had a really rough time..the whole time fever, runs, sleepless nights and thats what her GP recom but they were a bit older, there is something else for the littlies, but she couldn't remember what it was called.

Sm33 has like a numbing thing in it you can use it on mouth ulcers and for dentures and stuff aswell, it has been a godsent for Zane. It is behind the counter at the chemist so you have to ask for it about $8 I think??

Not sure how true this is because a friends hubby old me this???? But he reckons he was told that bonjella toughens the gums????? (remember a dad told me this!!!)We were using it and it did nothing for Zane so we switched.

Oh....Love Rusks!! I have given up, I have just resigned myself to the fact that I'm never going to have crumb free anything ever again...:D

we got them from our chemist, harrison's also has them.. you can get them online, i did a google and saw a few online chemists sell them. i dont think im allowed to post their urls. they are homeopathic

a few of the mums in my mothers gr used them and said they were fantastic. i think they are!! he's smiling and playing now!!! cant believe it. bonjela and brauers made him so unsettled and clingy the last week. this is almost a miracle.

didnt know that bonjela did that.. toughening the gums, is that supposed to be good or bad?

Im glad you found the hylands tablets. I Have used them for ages with Jake. I was in Pacific fair shopping centre in Broadbeach on Gold Coast, and went up to the Giant chemist. I heard a woman talking to another woman about these awesome teething tablets. In Bendigo we only have them in 1 chemist in the whole town. I have to keep checking in there coz they keep selling out. They are the best out of all teething products, next to panadol.

Oh we are a lover of the Hylands too. I tried them (Well I wanted to see what they did!) Didnt do much for me but I wasnt teething LOL! They make Amber quite happy.
Highly recommended but harder to find.

Jen, Are your pairent's in Long gully or Maiden Gully? I think 50 home's where burnt down in that area of Bendigo. Spotlight was almost burnt down, and a couple of other shops just made it through. I thought the smoke was pritty thick, and the power has been on and off for days. There is CFA, police and Emergency services everywhere we go. Power lines are down all over the place. I am sooo over the smell of smoke.

Jen, Karlie, good to hear that you girls are ok. Have been thinking of you all day.. How are our other VIC girls? Well away from the fires? Hopefully the change that is coming through will take the smoke with it...
