esme - thanks for that link. i had a look. i really dunno what to do anymore.. the other night he slept thru till 4am and then the next night, he was up every hr, then every half hr!!!
we've tried different things and nothing seems to make any difference... we might just let it be for a bit and see what happens. we ahve our time at tresillian in january.. maybe they can sort it out for us.
also his routine seems to be changing again... he doesnt poo 2x in the morning like before, now it's anytime of day, mostly mornings, then afternoons or evenings. he seems to want less milk as well and not wanting an afternoon snack...
lol. i wish he would sleep longer during the day.. he sleeps half hr etc. he used to sleep longer now it's getting shorter. i dunno what to do or what he wants to do!! i might just see how he's starting to change, maybe all this pulling himself up and cruising is changing his routine again.
he's also now crawling on all 4s instead of commando.. and the other day he had 1 hand on the sofa and took a couple of steps..
it's all going too fast for us..
bun - hope catherine gets better soon.. it sux when they are sick.. and even more when we are too...
good luck w the move, it's all very exciting...
we are good, tho steve has a cold.. we had kris kringle at MG, it was so much fun.. we had it at one of the girls' houses and we ate and ate and ate and chatted and chatted and chatted.. from 12-5!!
poopy was crawling on all 4s everywhere and was touching and kissing babies next to him, boys and girls.. it was hilarious. he was climbing on them, to hug them and all. they said he was having an xmas pash w everyone!! hahahaha
we have my work xmas party next friday, steve's sis and bil have been kind enough to babysit poopy again. the theme is music, im going to go as diana ross, supremes era!! haha
gotta go. thinkingof you all.

Yahoo, we are all better in this house for the first time in months.
Prama, DD hated routine, and was so easy to thrown out. I think with Tara I had to be crule to be kind.(Letting Tara cry to sleep is something Im not good at. )1/2 an hour sleep during the day is normal for Jake at this age. I find if he sleeps only 1/2 an hour for 3 sessions Im doing great. Im also seeing him changing to 2 bigger sleeps for the last couple of days.
Oh no, I cant see the other page, and Jakes into something again. I better type very quickly.
I hope all of the rest of you girls are doing well.
Esme, your so thoughtful for posting that link for prama.
Bun, You poor thing, moving is so hard. I couldnt handle so much change around christmas. Christmas is stressful as it is.
Jen, are you coming to Bendigo for christmas? If you do.... DONT GO NEAR THE MARKET PLACE! Parking is a nightmare.
Oh no, better go. The kids are fighting. Ahhhh.
-
Its very quite in here. Is everyone going christmas shopping?
-
No, no shopping yet. Going next week, I am silly for having waited for so long!
On another note.... arrrrr I'm so frustrated with my DS's father. He is a being a pain in the arse regarding custody and child support and grrr
-
No, no shopping here yet; all last minute as usual....
Today we went to the MHCN just for a bit of a weigh in and a few questions about solids and sleep. DS is 9.4 kg and 71cm, so I am happy with that. No wonder my shoulder has started to hurt again; have been lugging him around a bit too much. We love to go out in the garden several times per day to look at the animals and the plants and all that time he is wriggling on my arm. Today we sat down in the grass and the dogs and one of the cats came over; Jasper had a great time pulling at noses, ears and fur. But the dogs and cats were so good, I think they will be good mates when he gets a bit bigger.
There is some improvement with his eating; the last couple of days he has been eating cooked carrot sticks; he actually eats all of it! And he had a taste of broccoli yesterday but I didn't have any left today. He (we ;)) love(s) sandwiches with cottage cheese and avocado, or finely grated carrot when we didn't have avocado. So I am very happy with those improvements!
2please - Yoohoo on being disease free all together, keep it up!
Coeur2512- Hope you get custody and child support sorted soon; it will be difficult enough with the kids on your own without all this...
That's it for today girls! How is everyone else going?
-
Hi ladies,
I have done most of my christmas shopping. Hooray! Karlie, today I got the pirate tent from cotton on kids as a present for a nephew.
Yay Jasper on the eating. Hope it keeps up again. I weighed Amber at the vet the other day! Well it was an easy scale to put her on. She is 9.6kg.
Amber has started crawling in the last week. She is now into everything and I have had to childproof our house. Today, she was trying to work out how to get out the doggy door. That was interesting.
I hear you ladies on the lack of sleep. We too have been getting up a few times a night. Sometimes she wont go back to sleep unless I feed her. Luckily I still BF so it isnt too bad. Although last night she slept through til 630. I'm not holding my breath tonight. But we'll see. Lets hope its just a phase they grow out of quickly.
Big hello to everyone. Coeur. hopefully the custody stuff can sort itself out soon.
-
havent gotten shopping done yet!! eeekkk..
i usually have it all done by october!!
karlie - glad jake's sleep is getting better.. yaaay!!!
coeur - man, sorry to hear abt ds's dad.. it's mothers usually who always have it hard.. so unfair.
esme - yaaay jasper!!! im so proud of him!!! he'll do so well im sure..
and happy 10mths tomorrow!! double digits!!!
poopy's doing well.. tho he has a bit of a sniffle..
he;s truly crusing and now doing it w one hand. he's also doing E.T.... using his forefinger to touch and prod everything.. i cant believe we've only got 10 weeks till his bday...
jj - ur message just came in.. hehe on amber... they move so fast and get into everything.. nothing's the same anymore!
-
Hi all!
First happy 10 months Jasper!!! Double digits... will be 12 months in no time...
Prama - thanks for the 'happy 10 months' wishes! Lakshman is doing so well by the sounds of it! Cruising and only holding with one hand; won't be long or he will be walking! So cute when the pointing finger leads the way; Jasper does the closed fist 'pointing' if he wants to go somewhere or wants to touch something. He loves gates at the moment; whenever we walk past or through one he has to pat it and climb it. Sometimes I let him sit on top of the front gate (me holding him) to watch the cars/trucks on the road in front of the house. At the moment we are in the process of getting quotes for a decent pool fence to keep bubby away from the dam and the busy road out the front; that is going to be our Xmas present I think, OMG they are expensive :(...
Jen - Yay on having the Xmas shopping under control! I can only wish. Xmas with DP's family and still waiting on them to do the draw for Kris Kringle (sp?)... Is going to be stressfull this year.. Sounds like Amber is doing very well; 9.6 kg; LOL, using the vet's scales; so much easier, might keep that in mind. So many bubs seem to go through an unsettled period around this age; let's hope they'll will grow out of it soon. Jasper still waking up a few times a night; I only have to feed once and he self settles the other times, so I am lucky. Sometimes he is up at 5.30 and today he slept till 7. Yay on the crawling too; did she manage to get out the doggy door?
Hi to everyone else!!

Hi everyone
It's almost surreal to think that all the babies are now turning 10 months old. Is anyone else clucky for another one? I think the memory of all the pain and discomfort is staring to fade... Luckily I'm breastfeeding too otherwise who knows when the next one is along!
Thanks for the good luck wishes. I reread my message and probably should have mentioned that it's my DS#1 Jacob's father that I'm having issues with. Luckily I've got hubby to vent to about it all!
I took Jordan to the doctor's the other day, he's been worrying me a bit. Kinda zones out occasionally and the other night one side of his face was slack. I was just telling myself that it's cos he's tired... sleeping on that side... etc. But it was so scary. It is possible that he is having seizures, so the next time it happens I'm going to record it and take him straight to the hospital. Even if he's fine by the time we're out the door I'm still going.
Esme - Jasper sounds adorable. Jordy doesn't bother with pointing to things, he just charges up and takes it! Or attempts to leap toward them whilst being carried. Jasper sounds like he's doing really well with his eating and makes me less concerned about Jordan being so picky.
Jen - I hear ya on the late night breastfeeds. It's so easy to just grab them and go sit back down before they even wake up properly. All the bubs must be going through a growth spurt and teething, cos it seems like a few babies are waking up more frequently too.
uhoh barking dogs have interrupted the rest of this message. I'm having such a hard time keeping Jordan asleep, he now only wants one sleep a day. I have to kick myself and get up and get back into a routine. Maybe buy an alarm so its not "me" that is saying it's bedtime!
Well everyone have a good day and enjoy the rest of your week!

Hi everyone. We are finally back online so I can now check up on everyone! DH is now in Vic and we are missing him. We have sooo much to organise and it all needs to be done while DH is away so I am feeling pretty stressed right now. That cold we had lasted aaages but is thankfully gone now. The last two nights DD has been so clingy - will fall asleep on me but as soon as I try to put her down she clings onto me soooo tight and screams if I put her down (after prising her little hands off me!). It took three hours to get her down the other night, and last night I gave up and just let her sleep with me. I think it's to do with DH being away - she must miss him the poor little thing.
prama - yay on poopy crawling and taking steps! We had secret santa at MG today too - it was heaps of fun and we got some great pressies. Our MG has now become a playgroup which is so much easier now that the kids are getting so mobile. And I am another one who hasn't started Christmas shopping - I must get onto that!!
jen - woo hoo Amber on crawling!! I hope she starts to sleep better soon.
esme - I'm glad to hear DS is going so well with solids now. I think I will have to try cottage cheese sandwiches and see if I have any luck!
coer - I hope XP stops hassling you, what a pain, esp around Christmas. I can hardly believe how olds our bubs are either, it has gone too quick! I visited a newborn the other day and while I am not ready for another one yet, I can definitely see myself starting to get clucky again!!
I had DD weighed today and she is only just 8kg. I feel terrible, like I am not feeding her enough as her growth has almost plateaued whereas before she was going great. Now she is below the 25 percentile. I don't know what to do to make her eat better though, I have tried everything!!
-
Happy 10 months Catherine!!!
Big ; it is so hard if they don't want to eat, is it? You can't force it, it is up to them... She will eat when she need it, Bun. As far as I know it is normal for their weight to plateau around this age as they get so much more mobile. My MCHN nurse said that it is not the norm for bubs to be eating full meals around this age and that it is more about trying different things. She said just to feed them what they eat and keep offering new things in between. They are still BF, so they'll get what they need from you.
Sorry to hear that she is so clingy; makes it all the harder for you too. Not long to go now before you can move to Vic... All will be better when that's done. Jasper is starting to get a bit more clingy too and does the 'face hiding' when he gets shy; very cute, but he starts to prefer hanging off me when DP is home too, so DP is a bit disappointed. I will make sure they get a lot of boy's time on the weekend!
Hi to everyone!!

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for no posts recently just a bit busy. I have been reading but no real time to sit and type.
We are all well, Sophie is still commando crawling and into everthing gates have gone up! She is also waking overnight for a feed and then would like to play afterwards thanks very much he he. We have our final week of Kinder this week and a kinder Christmas play on Friday it will be very cute and sad as we are off to school next year.
Have to go
Hi to everyone will try and drop in later

hi girls,
It's been a long time since i've posted but i'm so glad i've just read all your recent posts!
Amelie has been having the hardest time with sleep - and now it seems that it MUST be developmental phase as so many of you are going through the same thing! I don't feel so alone now. She's waking around every 45 mins - 1 hr through the night for the last 8 nights. I took her to see an osteo today who said from today onwards, she will be better.
Do you know what? Tonight she's been asleep for 1 hr 20 mins already so improvement - i wonder when she will wake.
Food wise, everything is going in. Sooooooo different to first time round with DD1.
Amelie is crawling at light speed and really trying to stand up too on furniture.
For those of you who are thinking of number 2, DD1 was 10 months old when i got pregnant with Amelie and was breastfeeding her many times a day - including probably 2 or 3 times at night too. So Coeur, it's no guarantee you won't get pregnant just because you're feeding!!
Bun - please don't stress about Catherine's weight. Just as adults we're all different sizes, same is true for little ones. My DD1 didn't even start to eat (more than 1 teaspoon) until she was 11.5 months old. She weighed around 8 kg at 1yr and is still on the 15% for weight/height. But she eats like a horse now - anything and everything. Just got a petite frame and fast metabolism, i guess. Provided you're offering healthy food, she'll just take what she's ready for and needs. Good luck with the move - it must be tough for you at the moment.
Hi to everyone else -sorry not enough time for personals but i love reading what your babies are up to!
take care,
Roya

Hi guys,
Yes it has been a little quiet around here, hasn't it? We have been flat out planning the move to Vic - it is just crazy planning an interstate move without DH and with DD being as clingy as she has been lately. I think this clingy stage may finally be passing - at playgroup yest she was back to her old self and playing with the other kids again without just wanting me all the time, plus she has been sleeping sooo much better the last couple of nights. I thought I was going to go crazy for a while there when she wasn't sleeping and I had sooo much to get done to get the house ready to rent, everything packed etc. Now the boxes and cars have gone, the house is ready to rent and I think we have tenants. I am staying with mum and dad so things are much easier now and DH gets back tomorrow!
esme and roya, thank you so much for reassuring me re DD's weight, I was feeling terrible for a while there. She is now the smallest at playgroup and there is nothing I haven't tried to get her to eat. She just prefers boobie milk! She is happy and looks v healthy, so hopefully she is fine. I was always underweight (until I had DD!), so it is probably just normal for her if she is like me.
DD has been so gorgeous lately. She can make a fish sound when you ask her too, she can pull herself up on things, always waves hello and goodbye (before she would only do it sometimes), she claps on demand and is just so smiley, happy and chatty all the time. Mum and Dad are loving us staying with them but so so sad that we are taking her away. There are going to be a lot of waterworks I think.
I hope everyone is going well and almost ready for Chrissie!
Love Bun xx

hi girls
ive been meaning to post for ages but just forget when im online and only remember when im offline!
sue - steve's family comes over to our place, the same every year and we have a long barbi.. it's nice and relaxing. not too much cooking to do.. hope the weather is good.
hope you feel better hun. xoxoxo
bun - poopy's small too, 10% only height/weight.. im sick of everyone telling me how wee he is or if he's only 6mths etc. he must have a high metabolism rate, he loves his tucker. he's not tall either..
but he's doing very well for his age and is a happy baby so i cant ask for more.. maybe for him to sleep thru the night hahaah.
poopy's doing well, he smacks his lips and swallows his saliva when he sees his food. and if he sees his bowl and i put it in the microwave, he cries cos he thinks it's gone!
he's crawling everywhere on all fours, sitting by himself, cruising w one hand and starting to let go and then falling onto his bum. he's been throwing stuff from the cot/high chair and see them fall. he's also holding on to things in both hands and forgetting he's got stuff and trying grab more things!
he's also chattier, saying ammeh (amma = mum) and mum-mum(food).. often together.. i think he thinks im his food provider, ahahaah. im glad he can say mum-mum when he's hungry now.. makes it a bit easier. he also says appa (dad), and a few other words.
anyway, ive had a bad couple of weeks.. i heard from work.. well i contacted them.. and they said i'll have to come back 5 days, i wanted to do 3 days a week. so i dunno what to do... not the best of times to find a new job, and i dont want to be away fr poopy so many days. work cant/dont want to hire new staff, tehre's a freeze cos of the economic crisis and so they cant have someone cover my other days. and im annoyed cos htey should have told me this before...
i start first week of feb, but im really not happy abt doing 5 days. i was really looking fwd to doing 3 days, i want to spend time w my baby, and not want him to be w day care all 5 days. it's going to be so hard, being away from him 5 days. i feel so guilty, i feel like im a bad mother for putting him in day care for 5 days.. but i havent got a choice....
i wish my mum was here, at least she can help look after him and he will have 'home' time even tho im working compared to daycare...
sorry for my whinge...
-
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Sorry, haven't had much time and energy to post. I found a lump in my breast last week and had to have an US/mammogram. The results came back with a high likelyhood of cancer, so the GP send me for a biopsy on Friday. So relieved to tell you that the results came back clear for cancer yesterday! The lump seems to be a badly inflamed duct and will have to be monitored monthly for a while, but at least we will be able to enjoy Christmas to the full this year!
Happy first Christmas to all the bubs!
-
esme - gees, how scary. I am so glad to hear all is ok, what a relief! And yes, now you can enjoy Christmas without that hanging over your head, that must have been an agonising wait. Is it sore? I hope it heals up ok soon sweetie
prama - I am so sorry to hear that work are making you go back fulltime, that will be so hard. I'm not sure that they can make you go back FT if the job can be done PT, I think the legislation doesn't allow it. Is there any reason why your job can't be done PT (other than simply being a hassle for your employer)?. I would look into it if I were you because I'm not sure if that's right. And them not even letting you know til now is pretty unfair too. I hope you can sort something out. Can any of Steve's family help out looking after Poopy?
I just wanted to wish everyone a happy first Christmas with your gorgeous little bubs! I hope you all have a lovely day and that Santa brings you lots of pressies!!
Love Bun and Catherine xx
