Good luck Belinda!
I am so excited, my sister finally had her baby late last night. She was 11 days overdue and laboured all day, in hossy from 3am and in fact the labour started Sat night but then stopped Sunday arvo before starting again Sunday night. But bub was posterior and she ended up having a c-section. She is dissapointed about that but we are all thrilled that her beautiful little girl, Elise Ainsleigh, is finally here and all are well. My other sis who lives in London was in Melbourne so has seen the baby now (and she saw my sis in labour yesterday). She is coming up here to stay for a week from tomorrow and will meet my boys for the first time. So lots of excitement.
We are still battling the tail end of these colds but doing much better than before. And Jack has had his day sleep for the last 3 days.
-
hey again
just checking in to see if Dee was ok with the weather that has hit down there, hope all is well and you didnt get flooding Dee
Cooper is crawling now, although backwards lol but its a start
Mason is going well
Otherwise nothing much else happening really

-
So who is still around and who has left?
Dee I'vebeen thinking about you through all of this. Hope you guys are doing OK.
We are fine. Just doing the 2 kids crazy lifestyle. I'll try and check in moreoften, but I'm sobloody busy I hardly get any time to play anymore! As it is this is my sleep time I'm missing.
ZZZzzzzz's are calling....
Fi
-
Were there ppl leaving? I just thought everyone got busy
glad everything is going well Fi
Dee: hope all is going ok and you are back online to check in
Mason is going well, chatting up a storm, Cooper and him have bonded heaps more lately, they play silly games like copying each other making noises when they are supposed to be asleep lol, its cute though
Cooper is crawling but backwards only for now lol, he is standing up in front of the lounge fine and can move a few steps along but awhile off walking yet
all is going well otherwise
-
I'm still here. Sick chooky though for the last three weeks - gastro then a cold. We're nearly back on track though....
-
I'm still here too :)
Violet kept me up half the night last night... I eventually put her on one couch and I slept on the other!! Had a weird dream about driving Alecia to her new school with my Mum and Dad down back streets and alleys that had crates and boxes blocking the way... hmmmm?
Anyway Violet was complaining of a sore ear *sigh* I hope it's nothing... she seems happy enough now? She is very strange... she could be sick as a dog but the only time you would know about it was at night. I am going to be rats#1t when this baby comes... I just hope any episodes that occur during the night coincide together.
Anyway...
Belinda, how cute Cooper is crawling... backwards. Hehe
Fi, how are you my dear? All going well I hope :) How are Hamish's ears?
Sarah, I hope you get better very soon!!
Tanya
-
LOL not me Tanya, Zander! He sounds the same as Violet, perfect during the day but the sickness comes out at night. I can say he's sick to someone & they don't believe me... Well come over around 2am & see what you think LOL!
-
Ooppss... you were sick tho... right? So you are all better? I swear Violet waits until I am allllmost asleep than sooks... about 20 times!! Urgh!!
-
Hello everyone. I just have no time nowadays.
We had a shocker last night too. Tom woke up every hour (except instead of waking at 4, he woke at 3:30, then at 5, so I did get one block of an hour and a half). He only fed at 1 and 5, the rest of the time he just needed resettling. He got his two top front teeth on Friday and now has a runny nose. So I'm not sure if the wakings were more teeth or bcos he's sick. It's so hard to tell.
Jack is starting to get disturbed by Tom in the night. SOmetimes not long after a Tom waking, Jack comes into our room. Sometimes now he will sleep in our bed without moving about too much, other times he's like he always was, unable to keep still. He has started the "questions" phase. Even if he knows the answer he has to ask - "what is it" "what happened to it" "where does it hurt" "what is that for" "where are we going" "why" etc etc. Please tell me this is a short phase!
-
LOL at all the questions, we're not quite there yet, but getting close. Now why though!
Yeah I had a pretty bad cold & it's virtually gone now. Just waiting waiting waiting to find out if I'm down reg-ing or pregnant LOL!
-
I`m still here too - just been slack!!!!
Belinda and Fi - thank you for thinking of us, our farm was flooded and quite a bit of damage to it, most will not be covered by insurance due to flood damage  The pastures are all ruined so very little in the way of feed left for the cows, we will get there, our house is fine as most of the houses in this area are up on high land and the farms are down lower near the Hunter River. You had to see it to quite believe how bad it all was, it`s quite amazing now looking at the trees and thinking you couldn`t even see them during the flood, it`s hard to imagine even though I saw it all with my own eyes!!!
Belinda - How cute of Cooper crawling backwards.
Melinda - HOw cute with all the questions.
By the sounds of things quite a few of us had a bad night last night, well my life is full of bad nights but last night was just extra bad, Adrian woke every 30 minutes between 9.30pm and 1am then from 1am till 3.40am he was awake, he finally settled so I could get some sleep then he woke again at 6am. Tonight doesn`t look any better, he went to bed at 8.30pm, up at 9.10pm and I`ve only just managed to resettle him now after lots of crying.
Matthew is well, although I think he`s coming down with a cold, he keeps coughing but nothing else so far, hopefully it`s just a cough. He`s loving preschool and is now quite happy for Mummy to go without any tears, he had his school photos yesterday, looking forward to seeing them.
Adrian is going through a real lovely stage, he`s really bonding to Matthew now, it`s so beautiful to watch, Matthew loves sharing everything with Adrian (even his own food), Adrian still isn`t crawling properly (just commando) but is now getting up onto his knees and will stand if we stand him up, he`s quite talkative and can say Mum, Dad, moo, car, cat, boo, fish, plus tries to say a number of other words which he hasn`t quite got yet.
-
Awww Dee, I hope getting some feed in for the cattle isn't too much hassle... LOL at you saying Adrian isn't sleeping well then saying he is going through a real 'lovely stage'... hehe the ups and downs, hey!!?? What is bugging Adrian andyway?
Melanie, I hope it's a short phase at your place... I hope it doesn't last too much longer at my place... DP and I have had enough!! We are both veeery tired!
Violet is having a sleep on the couch atm... she has been such a sook today!! I hope she was just tired!
Tanya
-
Dee: glad to see everyone is ok, shame about the other stuff, hope it all comes together soon, YAH for what Adrian can say
Melanie: hope your nights get better
Tanya: hope Violet feels better soon and doesnt keep you awake too many nights
Sarah: fingers crossed
My kids have had us up most nights lately, both are teething!
Just done a battle with Cooper but i won i think! he so hates going to sleep now, so fights it for hours, being a nightmare, during the day i just leave him in the cot and he carries on for a little while then gives up, but when DH is around he knows he can play him like a fiddle lol, so he is so much worse
Mason is hopefully going to daycare tommorow, he hasnt been since the week before last due to public holidays and him teething, so will have to resettle him in again, thinking of changing his day from monday, as we get every public holiday and still have to pay for the days, qld has so many holidays!
-
Just reading along...life for us is good at the moment. Eliza has made enormous bounds in her speech and speaking better than some others of the same age...yes why why why was I so bothered by it...dunno I am a mother ;). Her favourite trick is to be in bed and yell Eliza Sick Eliza Sick well that is the button pusher for me and off I grab her to check..lol most times there is no sick.
DH is my babywhisperer and is still getting her to sleep which is all good for me and popping around to see friends is good again rather than having to go to bed at 7.30pm. We are finally going to put her into a bed this weekend, after yesterdays subtle suggestion to Eliza if she wanted to go to the toliet and she went to the bathroom and pulled her pants and nappy off and climbed up on the seat and sat there..no wee so I shouldnt get too excited but the thought process was so it shouldnt be long.
Guee have too much to say for once..I am still working part time and Eliza goes to Daycare 2 days a week she loves it...I am lucky it is one of the best centres here and the staff are wonderful and she loves them too.
Tanya: Ohh poor thing with no sleep~my week was a killer so I cant imagine what it would be like pregnant as well.
Dee: Glad not too much damage was done and well done for the great speaking it would be so lovely to see the boys being so interactive together, the advantage of having 2 close together.
Belinda: Erghh teeth, hope your days and nights get better too.
Sarah: Hope all is going good with you, damm waiting game thou
Trish: Glad to hear the little one is growing away, it is amazing how quickly pregnancys go on here wish they would in real life lol.
Fi: I'll prob talk to you before you log on lol
Well work day today, it is amazing how a house can be thrown in to chaois when Eliza hides mummys keys and laughs hysterically..it would of been funny if my work keys and I was the only one to open up today 30 minutes late with borrowed keys from another practice..guee how would I ever cope with 2
Bec
-
Good to hear from you Bec :) LOL at Eliza hiding your keys... it's funny from where I sit anyway. I bet I would be SCREAMING if I were you tho...
Belinda... Urgh! Teething!! any relief?
Violet woke very early this morning (she has been really good the passed 3 nights *knock knock*), it must have been about 6am (still dark).... 'Mummy I'm cold'. SO I went in and tucked her in then went to the loo. On my way back passed I heard her wimpering but left her. I went back to bed and 5 minutes later hear her talking... I think the cat must've went in... then she starts singing 'I'm a little tea pot'... LOL... she went back to sleep tho... hehe
I hope you are all well.
Tanya
-
Hi gals. Glad to hear that things are looking up for most of you.
Belinda, I hear you - I had two teething at once a couple of weeks ago too.
I have to say a big WOO HOO for Tom - he slept for 8 hours last night. It's the first time in months, and probably only the 5th time or so ever! Touch wood that it's the start of things to come!!
I had a call from Jack's day care on Friday. They have a spot for Tom one day a week from July 9. Unfortunately it's not the same day as Jack, but it is my other work day (I work Mon & Thurs atm). And they are pretty sure Jack will able to start on Mondays too from August (he is going up to the next room then and also hopefully going to 2 days a week). In the meantime it means 4 trips to kindy a week (2 for Tom on Monday and 2 for Jack on Thurs), but at least it is my work days. So MIL will just look after Jack on Mon and Tom on Thurs. It's great atm as I am working from home, so can still feed Thomas, but I will have to go to a client site at some stage. I'm sad that Tom is going to day care as I will see less of him while I am still working from home, but I also think it's easier if they start day care before 12 months. Plus MIL is going away for 3 weeks in Sep, so if both boys have two kindy days by then I won't be stuck while she is away.
Jack's questions phase is getting worse - Friday he asked me how the sun makes the sky purple.
-
Thanks Bec and sounds like nights are good there with DH doing the sleep routine
Tanya: they seem to be over it again thankgod, how cute about the teapot song :)
Melanie: hope the daycare thing works out well and they both end up with the same days
All is ok here, had a busy weekend that involved drinking a bit, so tired yesterday and today, went for a drive today to aldi's, was ok and got some good stuff cheap, but overspend on the whole
Dh is still not working because of the rain, hoping they are flat out once this weather clears up again, one advantage of going sub contracter is that he doesnt have to work many days to get a full weeks wage compared to his last full time job, so we kind of scrape by, although i would rather live well every week, toss up i guess
Cooper is crawling forwards now, cant remember if i mentioned he was crawling backwards, he is getting there, dont think it will be long and he will be chasing us all around, he has 4 others to chase around so should tire him out more lol
-
Surely there is more posts after mine in this thread, have i missed where a new one is??
-
OMG, how badly has this place died. So sorry for going MIA girls. Heaps going on for me right now.
Belinda, I hope the boys are going well and not giving you too much grief :D
Melanie, how are Thomas and Jack going ?? WOW Thomas is one in a couple of day's. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him !! Got anything special planned ?
Tanya, how are the girls going ? I bet Bonnie is settling in nicely with your family. How's Violet going being a big sister. I'm not really sure how Tehya is going to cope. She's already digging her heals in to stay the baby, but is so grown up in so many ways.
Sarah, how is Zander going ? Does he understand about the baby yet ? I found it gets easier as your belly gets bigger. Especially if they have been around other pregnant women and then got to see the baby afterwards. Makes it seem more real for them.
Dee, I hope Adrian and Matthew are well. How did your holiday go ? Hope you all enjoyed yourselves :D
Bec, how are you and Eliza going ? Sounds like she is coming along just great, and I would imagine even better now than yours last post.
Fi, how are the kiddies going ? I bet Hamish is getting big. I occassionally look at your blog and see updated pics of the kids. Jenna is a real cutey, as is Hamish of course.
To any one that I have missed I hope you are well. Now let's see if we can revive this thread !!
Tehya is going well. I have just enrolled her to start going 2 days to daycare now. So both will be there on Thurs and Fridays now. I will still be out all day bill paying and all the rest of it on Thursday and Fridays wil be my day hopefully at home. The plan is for me to get the nursery finished and to also get stuck into my doula course. I have been really slack with it since falling pregnant. Bad I know, esp seeing as it is fully paid off now too.
I am growing huger by the day I swear. I have one very impressive belly. I put a recent shot in my gallery, and it's also linked to my preg journal.
Mark's grandfather passed away yesterday afternoon. He was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with cancer and is now gone. I can't believe how fast it gothim down. But in saying that the moment he was told he started to starve himself etc, he just wanted to go.
Hope you all have a great Sunday and all little people behave themselves.
-
Oh Trish, how sad. I am sorry for your loss. I hpe Mark had a chance to say goodbye.
We are all going well. I am having a couple of friends around on Tuesday in the morning, it's not a party, just using his birthday as a nice excuse for a morning tea for me, and play date for the boys. Then the ILs will come around for dinner although Tom is usually asleep during dinner so that could be interesting!! I'm going to try and change his sleeping for that day but we all know how well that works LOL!!! Honestly, I can't believe it's been a year already. It's definitely gone quicker than Jack's first year (which also flew by).
I hope everyone else is well. Hopefully everyone will update now that Belinda and Trish have got us going!
-
Trish: Thats sad news, i cant believe how far along you are now, amazing how life just flys by really
Melanie: glad to see you are going well, wow at Thomas being 1 next week, cant believe how the time has gone by really
my keyboard is hot, dont think thats a good thing lol
anyhow will try to pop back in a little more often to update, but it wont be that often, just so busy nowadays and now the kids are older and winter is gone it been good getting out and catching up with people again
-
Zander sort of understands about the baby Trish. His godmother is 16 weeks & Piper's mum is 19 weeks, so he's used to them. It's too cute every now & then he'll walk over to me sitting on the lounge & pat my belly. Nothing else, just a pat then he'll walk away!
He has also learnt to count which is too cute "one, two, swee, four, five, sis, sewen, eight" sometimes it's up to 10 but most of the time it's only to eight :) I've also enrolled him in pre-school for next year, one day a week & we're both very excited about that!
-
Realised my last update is a bit outdated lol
Cooper is now walking along the walls and stuff, so not crawling backwards now lol, he isnt walking independently yet but will walk holding one hand with you
Mason is a runamok who drives me crazy most days, he is doing great though and is a clever kid, needs a lot of stimulation to keep him out of trouble
He is still going to daycare 2 days a week, he really needs more but thats all we can do for now, he loves going
Coopers first birthday is coming up and its reminding me that it feels like the other week i was having lukes first birthday who is 9 now! the time sure does fly, he is so much like luke as well so probably why i am thinking of it, not doing much for his birthday, just family at home, he doesnt know the difference lol
otherwise everyone is going well now that the horrible winter is over
-
Shannon, I can't believe that day care are making it so bloody hard for you. Grrrrr to them.
Good on you for being so positive about Jes's liver scan. I am sure it will be all fine. Fingers crossed for you guys anyway. Enjoy your time with her huni. She has had such a tough road already. Although there are days I am sure that you would kill for a break. I know I do.
Tehya is in bed with us just about everynight. Driving me mad. I so want her to stop before bub is here. I do not want 2 babes in my bed again.
How is Kassidy going ? Looks like she's growing nicely. Love those cheeks :)
Belinda, it all goes so fast doesn't it. All too soon hun they will all be at school.
LOL at you girls with your 9 year olds. Come and tell me when you have a 16 year old !! ;) And lets not forget the 13 year old from hell at the moment.
Shannon, thank you so much for the offer of stuff. I will PM you my addy. Please let me know if you want anything in return or even postage costs covered :)
-
Shannon: Sorry to hear you arent getting any luck putting Jessalyn into daycare, that sucks, but sounds like you are thinking positive about it all so thats the main thing
Are you down Caboolture way??
Funny that you said we should catch up i was thinking of you just before and thought the same thing before i saw your post
And i would of agreed with ugh to the school holidays 5 mins ok but then luke decided he wanted to clean the windows, took me about 5 secs to get him a bucket with water in it lol, he is now cleaning the insides too, so he can quit school and stay home if he keeps this up lol ETA: while still typing this he decided to start whinging about what he chose to do and has quit now so i take it back about him quiting lol and ugh to holidays!
Trish: you reminded me about Richard the 17 year old, he quit his job then school so that was great!! But i didnt let him get away with it, have limited his money to 20 dollars a week for bus fares to find a job and refuse to give him money for anything else, i say to him ppl who dont work cant afford phone credit etc etc, he is down in sydney at the moment, so said when he gets back he has to find a full time job till tafe next year and is to pay his savings account back when he starts working, we shall see how it goes!
-
Belinda, Joel has quite school too. Driving me bloody mad. He did have a job. Actually he has had 2, but not anymore. I never get a day to myself. Even on a Thrusday when the little ones are at daycare I have him hanging around. He can't seem to grasp the concept of not just looking or applying for one or 2 jobs, then he has to sit back to wait to hear from them before he looks for another. Bloody kids !!
LOL at Luke cleaning for you too. Tehya is quite good at helping clean, most of the time anyway. ATM her fav thing to do is wash the dishes. Of course it has nothing at all to do with her getting her hands in the water !!
-
Thats no good about him giving in school, its such a shame but you cant tell them as you know, Richards excuse for not finding full time work was he had a relatives party to go to in sydney next week, i said well when you apply you say i have a commitment on that weekend and i wont be able to work, but he said he didnt like to do that, aaahhh
I nag the crap out of him so he doesnt hang around much lol, i cant stand him hanging around either when i have the day with just Cooper home, although he sleeps all bloody day if home anyways, but i get him up like he is going to school anyhow, i am sure he loves me lol, my plan is for him get a job to get away from my nagging, it should work i am good at it
-
everyone has dissapeared again lol
-
I'm still here hun. But no one is posting again :(
OOps my bad, your last post was to me.
Yes it is very upsetting that he has stopped school. However he was merely enrolled there, he wasn't attending it at all. What is worse is that my 13 year old is now trying the same crap.
I don't let Joel sleep in in the morning at all. He is woken up quite loudly :) It's bad enough he is sitting around on his butt, he won't be sleeping whenever he wants also.
-
Oh girls, please don't scare me too much - I'm dreading having teenage boys.
Not much to report here. Very busy week and one tired Mummy - nothing new really! I have converted to MCN as of this week and that's going well so far, except that Jack keeps taking the pooey ones off and getting poo everywhere! He is so ready to TT but just won't stop playing to go to the toilet. I'm going to have to spend more time with him on it. Just not sure where the time will come from!!
-
Trish" Whats MCN??
Trish: ahh to the other one trying it as well, i would just say you have to be at least your brothers age before that will happen, then you have 2 years to whip his butt into shape
hope they work something out, hard when your that age to know what the hell you want to do, i still dont know what i want to do
Shannon: i am having a dejavu moment, i recall awhile back we mentioned catching up and i said where you near caboolture and you never come back lol, you trying to tell me something, huh?? :)
I spend money again today, in captain feathersword words 'i gotta stop doing that'
Bought Cooper and Mason an outdoor setting, the chairs match our setting, but only in shape, Mason broke the table already though!!!! thinking of taking it back and exchanging it lol, but couldnt be bothered
have pest control here tommorow, not sure on when the kids can be on it again after its done?
-
Belinda, Modern Cloth Nappies :D
Well so far Brandon is doing all that he can to get in more trouble than Joel. Atleast Joel didn't start this sort of stuff until year 9 or so. Brandon is still in year 7 !!
-
Shannon: lucky you werent avoiding me then lol :)
Do you go to playcentres at all? if you do there is one at burpengary that i think isnt too far from you that we could meet at, or otherwise we can meet somewhere else down that way
Trish: OH no to him starting it and being in year 7!
-
me either lol because its at morayfield PMSL, i am not good with directions lol
-
Oh Shannon, don't apologise hun. I knew when I posted it that people would laugh - hey I would have laughed if someone else had posted it! I was just pointing out that I wasn't ready to laugh at it yet!! Anyway, I got my laugh. DH had laughed when he read the email, then on Sunday when he was the one who found the pooey nappy on the floor and poo all over the playroom and had to clean it up, I got to laugh!! Karma I say LOL!!
Great tip about putting the nappy on backwards - it could work with a BBB if I put the big insert at the back - hmm, might have to try that one.
Hi everyone else. I'm working today so have to keep this short.
OH ETA - Shannon, I hear you on the sleeping thing. Jack still sleeps at day care but at home seems to have completely dropped the day sleep. He still has to stay in his room for an hour though to "rest" (which really means play with toys). But then he is so grizzly and naughty in the afternoons and sometimes falls asleep before dinner (and sleeps through). So I'm not sure what to do, I have tried EVERYTHING to get him to sleep. Must be the age!
-
Hi Girls
How are we all?
We`re back from our 2 weeks holiday last month, firstly went to Canberra for 5 days then Melbourne for 5 days then onto Eden for 3 days before heading home, we had a great time but would have been better if one of the older boys wasn`t going through such a dreadful teenage stage. 4 of us also came down with a virus, it hit Michael and myself really hard and by the time we got to Melbourne we were so sick we only visited Soverign Hill, by the time we got home I had a secondary infection which required AB`s.
We have since gone and brought our own caravan, it`s just what Mark needs, it`s lifted his spirits up, it`s just going to take 5 years to pay it off, oh well as long as we enjoy it, we went away to Port Macquarie in it the first week of the school holidays, we did nothing except relax.
Matthew`s doing well, he`s growing up too fast, always doing something new each day.
Adrian is well and is very nearly walking, which Matthew loves holding onto Adrian`s hands and walking with him, just at times Matthew`s walk to more like a run. Adrian`s still not sleeping through at night, most days we`re down to just twice a night getting up to him but this last week it`s been every 2 hours.
Have had a number of problems with Mark`s X, involving the boys not seeing Mark as often as they use to, she seems to be playing games with them.
-
Dee: nice to hear from you again, how horrible that you got so sick on a trip away, what a bummer, gggrrr to having X dramas still
I nearly ended up with my niece living here as well, she is 15 but she is now staying with her teenage cousin, hope that it works out for her, she knows we are here if needed anyhow
Shannon: you avoiding this meet up again huh??? hehe, hope all is ok with you and the girls
Hey to everyone else
Dont know if mentioned but Cooper is walking now, started about a week ago, still only short stints but he is starting to stretch them out, finally caught it on video tonight
everyone else is going pretty well, Mason is driving us up the wall, he is so high maitenence, i remember Luke being a lovely quiet toddler, not so with Mason at all, Cooper is very much like Luke, very laid back so i am hoping he stays that way, would go insane with two Masons!
-
everyone has dissapeared again
how are you all going??
-
I just posted here i thought but it didnt post, strange
ETA: did end up posting, anyhow you get to read two posts from me now
Anyhow was wondering how everyone was going
Not long at all for you now Trish, hope everything goes well for you
All is ok here, nothing too exciting to add, Mason is going great and talking great, pushes his luck most of the time though
Cooper is still great and quiet so far, he is slowly starting to stick up for himself with Mason but hasnt beat him yet lol
otherwise not well today so talk later
-
I am bumping this up.
How are all the little people going ??
Tehya is coping with being a big sister by being a right PITA lately. For a child that was rarely sooky she sure has turned. Don't get me wrong, she loves Abbey to bits and constantly wants to cuddle and love her up. Sometimes abit too much.
She goes back to daycare this week. Will be her first time without Noah there. Not sure on how she is going to cope. Even though they were in seperate rooms last year she knew he was just through the door and would often join him.
Noah starts big school this year, so a big step happening for us.
Lord only knows how I will get us all ready and at school by 8.45am. Not like it's easy getting in the shower around here in the morning.
I hope all are well and kiddies are growing nicely :D
