Must be a ful moon in Sydney every night LOL. Anyone agree??? Trish????
Hi All
I am such a slacker....Always reading - never posting....
Ella is going back to RCH to see an ENT specialist. Her ears are full of fluid again and she is unable to hear most things unless you yell at her....
I thought that something was wrong when she stopped with the new words. Although her most recent words are " mummy car". When she is in the highchair, she can see my car out the window.
Bec, Deb & Fi - I saw Marlene (nuk girl) at the market last weekend and she is expecting another baby in January. She asked me to say hi to you all.
Going to bed now as we have swimming lessons in the morning. Bye for now....until next time.
Angela & Ella
Fi - bummer @ the ergo not being ok for you whilst preggo.
Bec - You're a crack up girl! I can just see you sitting in front of Eliza with your flash-cards (Lisa Simpson style). 'Dodecaheeedron' LOL. What a clever little miss putting two words together!!
Ange - thanks for telling us about Marlene. That's lovely news. Sorry to hear about Ella's hearing :( Poor chicken.
We'll be emptying our house this weekend. Kinda sad :(
Sarah, totally agree. Every night around here is a full moon. What I would give for sleep. Hope Zander is doing well and his snotty nose has cleared up and is sleeping well.
Fi, what a bummer about the Ergo. I couldn't imagine any form of baby wearing when pg. Your a braver woman than I for even trying. Hope you got some decent sleep last night too.
Bec, ooohhh you had me excited then. I thought you had other exciting news. Not that Eliza putting 2 words together isn't excititng enough but ykwim.
Ange. Sorry to hear about poor Ella. I hope you get some answers. Do you find the water at swimming affects her ears at all?? I know I had to stop Tehya for a while as her ears were constantly getting runny.
Deb, aaww It's sad packing up your home. Leaving your memories of all good times there. Think of it as a good thing. A new home to make new memories in. A home to have a new baby or 5 in :)
Had an ok night up until 3am when Tehya decided to stay awake for 90minutes. What is the go there. Am in the *****tiest mood. Well not really I just want some quiet and it's not happening. Mark is taking the boys camping today but it is already raining here so don't know how they are going to go. Can't imagine it would be much fun if it rained the whole time.
OHHH sweet serenity. Now... who can I get rid of Tehya to?????
Yep the snotties have cleard up but OMG at sleep  At least Aaron got a taste of what I have most nights because I refused to get up because I had to work. That said, I still got up at least 4 times! Soooo tried after work & a bad night but we have our school reunion on tonight so I can't even have a nanna nap :( BUT Zander is staying over at Granma & Granda's house for the night, so I might get some sleep. Although ovulation is just around the corner...... Anyway :o
Good on you for refusing to get up. Hope your day at work wasn't too long and tiring. Hope that you guy's have a great night trying to catch that eggy ;)
Good luck chasing the eggy Sarah! Have fun ;)
I refuse to get up every night anyway - despite the fact I dont have to work. I'm too tired anyway being pregnant, and sleep issues for myself, plus if I get up during the night I have to go to the toilet a billion times. Plus Jenna settles really well for shane - and he can sleep through anything, so bugger it! He does it all :)
Trish - I am having a "you" run of luck with the car. Last week a ticket, today I dinged it. Couldn't believe it!! Luckily I just ran the car side along someone's bullbars, and Shane has pretty much cut and polished the whole thing out. Was very embarrasssing.....
Hope you had a nice day today in girly land. And maybe a good nights sleep tonight?
Angela - thanks for the update on Marls - I actually saw her at my last appt at the FBU and knew that she was preggers. I think I told Jo Deb and Bec, but I hadn't seen you. I'm so sorry about Ella's ears. Hopefully she will pick up after the specialist appt.
Beccie - you know I think you are a clever girl getting a good part time job. Specially like the part time bit :) Any new words from Eliza today? I swear if I have to watch that bloody wiggles DVD one more time I will scream......!!! lets do the monkey - oh oh ah ah oh oh ah ah ARGH!
Normally Jenna says bye and waves at the TV when the credits come on a show. With the wiggles shes saying MORE!!! I may need to buy the new DVD.
Deb - how sad on the house. Never mind - onto bigger and better things huh? Remember to pop over this week if you need a play centre with toys. Only not Tuesday arvo (MG) or Wednesday before 10am.
We bought Jenna's new bed today! Yeeha! We ended up getting an ensemble as I could just see Jenna cracking her head on a bedhead. We got a kiddies one, but it was a decent on from Captain Snooze for about $400. She threw in a pillow. So it arrives on Wednesday, it will be interesting to see what she thinks of the new one. Its alot higher which isn't great, but we shall see.
We also bought a new vacuum. I have already done the house today I was so excited. I had really shopped around, and had finally decided on the top of the line Nilfisk. So Good Guys gave me a price of $650 cash, and then I saw Myers had it advertised for $649. They wouldn't go any lower, so I sent Shane back to Good Guys and he brought it home for $550!!! That was $200 off the marked price. Astounding, and its a great little monster with lots of suck.
Now I just have to justify a iPod in there somewhere.... Hmmmm....
Hope you all get GREAT nights sleep (and here's hoping Jenna sleeps and Shane doesn't snore again.)
Woo hoo for your new purchases, Fi! I should have sent you to retravision to see my sister! Sounds like Shane got a pretty good price anyway ;) Hope Jenna likes her new bed! I'll definitely try to pop over at some stage. I'm sure I'll be hanging to get away from Mum, LOL.
Sarah - how did your reunion go? Mine is meant to be this year too but I've yet to hear of one being organised. One friend was trying but I think he is counting on me to help. It ain't gonna happen if they rely on me, LOL. Hope you got some sleep!
We had my step sister's bday party last night. They hired out a function room. Gabby had a blast running around with the other kids on the dance floor. She loved the balloons (of course!) and even got her very own lolly bag. I let her have a lollipop but hid the rest (stacks of other lollys that I really don't want her to have). Somehow she managed to steal someone else's lolly bag and scored another lollipop! Cheeky monkey!
This is our last morning in our house (at least living in it) so I'll be off to Mum's. She has a computer so I'll still be here, hehehe. Can't get rid of me ;)
Fi, you spke waaaay to soon!! Violet didn't sleep well... no I dea what her problem was!!
She would scream if you left the rom. I ended up stripping both of them off (Emily eventually woke up too!!) and had a shower with them, read them a story and put them back to bed! It worked... finally 3am!!
Tanya
FI, what a buggar. ThankGod Shane could just buff your car, pretty much the same as mine was for damage, just not the oher car... How rude is the bloody government or who ever it is the money goesto for our fines. I paid mine weeks back, and do you think they even bothered to send a letter to say thanks we received your payment. If I didn't pay it you can bet I would've got another fine from them. How rude ;)
How is Jenna going in her new bed, or is she stil in the cot for now??
Deb, sounds like you had a great time at the party. HEHE on Gab stealing an extra lollipop. Good on her :) Aww sad that you've left your house now. Hope it wasn't too hard for you. Have a good rest this week at your mums before pushing off again. I hope all goes smoothly for you.
Sarah, forog tot ask, how did the reunion go?? Hope you had a great night that was followed by a productive night ;) Hopefully Zander slept ok for you lastnight.
Tanya, sorry to hear that you had a shocker night. You got the girls up for a shower late at night??? I guess if it works for you. Hopefully you got better sleep lastnight though.
Well our girly night didin't stay completely girly. Brandon ended up staying home with Teh and I. We went up and grabbed some dvds for me and an xbox game for Brandon. I had Teh in bed by 7.30 and watched my movies. Failure to Launch - quite funny with Sarah Jessica parker and Matthew McConaughey - drool. Then I watch brokeback mountain. Not a bad movie. Just wish Heath would open his bloody mouth when talking. Watched another yest morning but can't remember what that one was called.
Teh woke at 9.45pm then again at 4am - that's pretty good for her. I could'nt go back to sleep though and by the time I did she was waking again around 5ish and up for good around 6.30. So pretty much I was awake form 4 am. Soooo bloody tired still.
Mark and the boys got back around 3ish in the afternoon. And all started again for another shocker with Tehya. Down to bed around 8.15 up again by 9.15, then again at 1am and another 3 times before up for good at 6am. When is this kid going to get it!!!
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Monday and that all little people are behaving themselves.
Trish, yep... I ended up at my wits end and thought ...'What will relax them and help them sleep... a bath... I ain't running a bath! A shower!!" So that is what I did. It worked, and that is all that matters ;) I won't be doing it agian in a hurry tho!
And yes I did have a better night last night... not much, but better none the less!! It took a couple of hours to get Violet to sleep. But I wasn't budging! And she finally went to sleep and slept all night! *sigh*
Urgh at your nights sleep (or lack there of!!) Maybe you should get pinky's book??? Never read any of her stuff, but hey, it might just be the ticket??
TL
Tanya
HAHA, I know what those nights are like where you'll do just about anything to get them to sleep short of a hammer on the head. LOL.
I know that I realy need to knuckledown on Tehya for a good week solid and maybe we'll get there, it's just a matter of having the bloody energy to start with to do it.
She is very stubborn though, I can leave her in the cot crying it out for up to 30 minutes like I did yesterday, seh was asleep in my arms and the minute I put her in the cot and walked otu she started screaming. Thought that I would leave her and see how she went but she didn't settle. I ended up getting her up and cuddling her for the next damn hour to get her back to sleep.
Yep, that is what Violet has been doing!! Norty girls! She would be happy if I stood at the end of her cot alllll night, but if I dare walk out! Wato picks her up and nurses her, which to be honest, I don't think helps (she always wakes up and cries when put back to bed). He is usually really good with the girls but he had had enough of sooking and kept growling. So I told him he wasn't helping and he tried to calm down, but I ended up talking care of her. Wato really can't stand it when they cry for no reason.
So, i ended up using controlled crying I think??? Dunno, I just knew that I wasn't putting her in my bed (letting her win) and I wasn't nursing her (her win again). I just hope tonight is a little better.
Tanya
Mark's the opposite, I think he could leave her tp scream for a month. Noah on the other hand. I'm the one the crying and whinging gets too. I can't handle it. I wish I could leave Teh in the night but she wakes Noah up then we have 2 awake, which you know how bad is.
Of course Tehya is in my arms now and has just crashed out in 5 minutes flat. If only she'd do that of a night. Only I know she'll sleep for an hour or so if I'm lucky and that will be it for the rest of the day until tonight. Cow, I was hoping for a nana nap today. i really need one.
I dont understand children and their sleep.
I just dont get it. Jenna slept through last night - of course I have no idea why. There is just no rhyme or reason to any of it!
Trish - she is loving her bed. Hopefully she iwll like the new one just as much. It arrives on Wed. I have just gone out and bought sheets for it. SOOOOO cute :) I decided since I was getting 70% off at the Sheridan factory, I would get her some big girls towels too - so they are hot pink. Very funky. The baby ones will get packed away for a couple of months I guess. Not sure where I'm going to fin a home for it all as its all under her bed at the mo, and its about the become an ensemble option with no storage! Uhoh!
I had your problem this morning too Trish where I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. Darn it all. I'm a bit poxy with Shane at the moment, otherwise we would have had a naughty, which I would have slept after, but he doesn't deserve it, so I suffered! Ah well.
Tanya - sounds like you did the right thing with the girls. An hour spent at that time of the night resettling is worth it if its for the rest of the night.
Hi Girls.
I have added babies born in Jan & Feb 2005 to this thread as well, since really there is only Nellbe that posted in there anyway ;) So you wont notice a huge change or a huge influx of people.
Love
Kathryn, maybe you should have added April too...??
Fi, sounds like you got some bargins :)
How was sleep last night Trish?
Violet was ok. She didn't want to go to sleep, but I just close the door and waited a few minutes and went back in and tucked her back in and left again. She was quite within a few mins. She woke again @ midnight, I went in tucked her in and left again... again, she was quite in a couple of minutes *phew*!!
I really need to get some washing done today, I have mountain piling up waiting for folding... urgh!!
Tanya
Oooh new meat - mwahahahahahaha!!!
Hiya Nell :D
Welcome back Nelle :)
Tanya, last night was suprisingly good. Not quite sure what time Tehya woke up but Mark brought her in and I fed her then we crashed back out after her tossing and turning for about 10 minutes. I think that was the only time she woke, but there have been nights that she has woken up heaps of times and not remembered the next day.
Sounds like Violet is going great, fingers crossed that she keeps up the good work. Mark and I got in and folded up all of the washing yesterday afternoon.
Fi, I can't wait to go shopping for Tehya's big girl bed and all of her linen. Oh which reminds me I was supposed to email you about a patchwork quilt.
As I said a pretty good night here lastnight that I can remember of. Pretty bad seeing as how yesterday I was actually looking froward to going to the dentist tomorrow for IV sedation to be knocked out to get some sleep!! You know your sleep deprived when you look forward to going to the dentist.
ROTFLMAO Toooo funny Trish!! HAHAHA
I am glad last night was a bit better :)
Tanya
Awww can't we have April merged into here too?? Pretty please, Kathryn?? ;)
Welcome Jan and Feb!! hehehe
LOL Trish... yep, you sound rather sleep-deprived!!
Things are going well here at Mum's. It's like I have built-in babysitters! My sisters have been playing with Gab, dressing her etc. etc. I'm on holidays!! LOL
Ooo and some BIG news! My youngest sister, Erin, got engaged yesterday!! Awwwwwwwww!
Her BF FINALLY proposed after 5.5 years on the Westgate Bridge at sunset. We are all soooo stoked! He chose September 11 so he'd remember the date, LOL.
ETA: ooo and just noticed! This month I will have been a BB member for 3 years! Yay!
Your anniversary has already gone Deb - 1st of September (it's in your profile!). Congrats to Erin as well :D
Hehehe thanks Sarah... I couldn't be bothered checking out the exact date ;) I'm lazy!! hehehe
Yeah - how about making me an official member of this thread!! I think there are only 2 of us in the April thread, and one never posts in Buddies anyway.
Please Make it Jan-April soI can have my names up in lights too?
Yay for Erin - thats wondeful. And you can have mine tomorrow if there are fun babysitters going begging ;)
Trish - I hope your dentist trip was OK.
WEll I just had MG here, and I feel like I've been runover by a truck. Definitly time to have an early night I think. There was a 10d old baby here, which was pretty cute. And the 13w old baby is growing like anything! Just amazing how much they grow and change in a couple of weeks.
Getting clucky, hey Fi? Not long to go now!!
HAHA well one would hope that Fi's getting clucky being 26 weeks pg and all ;)
Happy 3 years to you Deb. I've been on here for 2 years now. Congratulations to Erin and her DF (hehe) about bloody time too hey. Yay at having a houseful of baby sitters too, got to love that.
Dentist trip is today girls, starting root canal, and not sure what else. Wish me luck !!! If I come back on drooling later on this afternoon you know why.
HAHA, Mark can't believe that I'm on BB at 10 to 7 in the morning. He said surely us women should have washing to get doen or breakfast's to make. HMMM he really just doesn't get the whole BB addiction still!!
LOL at Mark Trish!!
I miss my MG :( Haven't been in so long because things keep coming up. Had it organised to be here tomorrow (as of yesterday LOL) then find out I have to work tomorrow instead of Friday so had to cancel.
Awww Sarah!! I was never in a mothers group... I miss adult company...LOL ;)
Tanya
How bout you come & visit me Tanya.... It'll only take a few hours to get here LOL!
Would love too...
Just a couple of hours times by 4!! LOL
Tanya
Well if you left now & drove non stop you could probably be here by midnight LOL!
Urgh!! What a horrible thought!! My Dad was an interstate truckie, don't know how he did it!!
Tanya
While your up visiting Sarah you can visit me too Tanya ;)
May as well make your trip worthwhile. hehe
I neve had MG either. See what happens when you don't go to hospital. I have MG on BB instead. atleast I save on petrol this way.
I miss my MG too... sadly everyone had better stuff to do so it didn't last *sigh* Ah well...
One more sleep until we move!!!
Eeeek Deb! How scary! Are you packed and ready? I can remember moving earlier in the year and it was HELL! I was no where near ready, and I really couldn't be bothered (Plust it was in the middle of summer, 40oC days)
Trish, I would love to come up and visit... it's just so far!
Tanya
I think we are all prepared, Tanya. I guess having several months notice helped. Plus, Neil has been taking trailer-loads up to Hammo for the last 6 weeks so we only have 1 large tandem trailer of stuff coming with us tomorrow (plus 2 cars filled to the brim!! LOL).
My sister is driving up with us because Neil's not so sure how the XF will go towing the tandem. Also, we have to take the dogs and I was a little apprehensive about us going up with a computer, a TV, a child, 2 dogs (one massive one!) and a giant tandem trailer all on one car!
If you go to visit Trish, I'll come with ya, Tanya ;)
When are you going to come down here Trish? And no - I'm not a little bit clucky. I have to get super dooper fat before then, so I know there is a whole lot of pain to come before then!
Deb - I can't beleive we haven't caught up this week. I was going to suggest that we go to a playcentre, but I dont think its smart with all the germies floating around at the mo. I do not want gastro!
Just to let you all know - Bec has been in hossy again with Miss Eliza. She got a spewy bug again, and aspirated a bit of bile into her lungs, so she was rushed in again by mum and dad, and mum got to spend a sleepless nigh in there again withEliza on IV and antibiotics. She's home again, and I'm sure will post here soon.
Poor thing is having a run of bad luck!
Fi, I'd love to go down to Melbourne for a holiday... Just need somewhere to stay ;)
All of that pain is so worth it, I'll do it for you if you want, no problem... Hmm Don't know how I'd go handing bub over afterwards though....
Send our love and thoughts to Bec, I hope little Eliza gets better soon. Stupid horrible bugs...Good to hear that she's back at home again though.
Deb, OMG 1 more sleep hey !! Doesn't seem that long ago you announced it all. I hope all goes well for you hun. You and Tanya can come up anytime. I'll even boot all of the boys out for the time :D Anything to get rid of them....
Tanya, We have driven down to Phillip Island years ago, pre Noah when all was new and sweet. Rained the whole bloody time and Mark was on crutches, didn't make for the best holiday, but atleast the time spent indoors was fun ;) I would love to get down to Melbourne again, the shoping was fantastic. I was thinking of doing a long weekend shopping trip sometime. Just a matter of having the spare $$
Hope that all little people are doing well and behaving like the angels they are.
Booo hoooo! An entired post I just did disappeared!! WTF!!??
Urrgh... too annoyed to type now, LOL
How bloody rude Deb!!! Don't you hate that. Always happens to me when I've written out a huge one :(
