BBL need to do some housework while Ike is sleeping.........
Hello :hello:
Just a quick one from me cause I can hear my little one stirring and she hasn't slept much today :( Last night she gave me 4 hours straight of sleep which was great, hasn't slept through the night but it's better than what we have been getting in this household.
Tannis - I had my 6 wkly apt yesterday and my doc did a pap smear and didn't say that anything about not getting a good reading. She said that everything was looking good too including my scar so happy with that. Dr also recommended that I go back on the pill and when ready to start trying for another bubs to stop taking them.
Kristy - I haven't gotten my period yet and was wondering the same?? I hope you and Kell had a good day out today.
Mel - the washing is never ending in this household too... I can't believe how much washing a little bub can provide.
Pixie - for Beth being 1 month old today!!
Hello to everyone else.
:hello: Hello all
Kristy - I think you can pretty much start using them whenever you feel comfortable? Hopefully not something I will need to think about for a while.
Mel - if you have a set of scales at home, you could try getting on while you're holding DD and then getting on by yourself to get a rough idea of how much she weighs.
Tenny - if she turns up on Thursday ask her in and ask if she knows Jesus! Or try to sell her Amway. Or just give her a smack in the chops and tell her she's a rude ***** and you're going to report her to the Heart Foundation.
Kel - happy Birthday to Jesse for tomorrow!
Belle, hope you're doing OK hun
Missy - can't wait to see the Baptism pics
skittle - yay for a happy baby!
Well, a red letter day here, managed to do the vacuuming for the first time since DD was born. I have been sweeping the floors but always felt like I was just stirring the dust bunnies up IYKWIM. Was hesitant to vacuum cause I thought it would wake her. Ha! should have known. I swear that girl could sleep on the tarmac at Sydney Airport while planes were taking off!
:p to everyone I've missed - hope you had a good one, catch up later!
Tan - Jabirus are so cute!
Pixie & Bear - grats on 1 kg and 1 month!
Mel - mwah! Enough said
Kel - Happy Birthday to Jess for tomorrow!!
Kristy - Think 6 weeks is the general ok time - same time as intercourse is ok. Not sure if it is the same with C/S or not - but I think the tampon thing is part of the whole "don't stick things up there in case of infection" thing
Belle - hope you're feeling happier soon... You're doing a great job
waves at everyone else!
Alyssa had her 6 week check today! She has cradle cap to be treated with Dermaveen shampoo followed with olive oil scalp massage (looks hilarious because she has so much hair! Makes her look really greasy and unwashed =). We're also proactively combatting her milk rash with a mild steroid cream and dermaveen moisturising lotion. DH has pretty bad eczema, so they want to clear her rash up fast to make sure that we can maintain her skin rather than have to fix it if/when the eczema really comes in. The doc told us that he thinks she's one of the most beautiful babies he's seen. I bet he says that to all mums, but I tend to agree with him in this case ;)
Her stats at birth: 3.12kg, 49cm, 34cm HC
Her stats today: 4.33kg, 56cm, 37.5cm HC
My little baby is growing up!! *sniff sniff*
Rach: Nah I'm only 3hrs from the Sunny Coast. Happy 1 month Beth!!! YAY on getting the vacuuming done, I did mine for the 1st time too....its been longer for me haha...lazy I am!
Kell: Must have been the night for it...Jayden slept from 8.30pm until 7.15am without waking up during the night, the 1st time in ages! Ashlea slept 12am until I woke her up at 6.30am thinking it was after 7am! I guess thats what forums are for...talking about things the boys just don't get! haha. She does cough and choke most of the time (esp in the morning) so the let down could be too fast. Hope you and Kristy enjoyed your coffee! Aww big 2yo!! It happens so quickly doesn't it??
Tenny: Glad I'm not the only one that had to wait until 12wks, not that I want it done but I would have hated to get it done now just to be told I have to do it again because of a bad reading. Glad I'm not the only one who's DP/H doesn't understand too!
Mel: 2ml is 2ml and the more you can do it the more you will get, every little bit counts. October seems so far away...I guess its not really hey. Get on the scales with her, it won't be real accurate but it gives yolu a basic idea...great to hear she's growing out of her nappies though haha. I don't know how you wash the nappies, clothes, bottles, cook, clean, look after and entertain 2 kids...You are doing a fantastic job!!! I know what you mean about DH going too slow or not doing it right...I got myself into the mess I'm in because I found it easier to do it myself rather than DP do it then me yell at him for not doing it right then I'd have to do it anyway.
Kristy: I can't remember how long til I used a tampon, I think it was my 1st period that I got because I didn't get it until Jayden was about 6mths old (when I totally stopped BF'ing).
Mez: Glad your appt went well! Must depend on the Dr whether they do it at 6wks or 12wks. I'm a bit overdue to have mine now, but I guess another 6wks won't hurt. I wouldn't worry but I have had problems in the past, had to have a general to get pre cancer cells removed etc...don't want to go through that again!
SW: Yeah they are...they are so tiny, a lot of Chris' family won't go up in one cause they are too small....I love them! Ash has milk rash now, no as bad as Jayden did but still bad. Hope the creams work for her. Its nice getting compliments about the baby isn't it? WOW her weight gain and growth is great!
Ash is awake...better go
Tan - this is about the smallest thing I fly - Citabria
- we took one of these to QLD at Xmas time and did Sydney direct to Longreach in one hop, you can tell we're in Queensland by the way the fuel pump guy dresses C182-T
- now working on getting signed off in this - PA30 which will make some of the longer trips much, much quicker!
Thanks ladies for all of Jesse's birthday wishes!
I just finished wrapping his presents and theyre in the middle of the lounge room floor for when he comes out in the morning. Hes going to love the unwrapping! Finally he gets the gist of it at the age of 2, that theres something fun under all that paper :)
Tannis.. oh awesome! Yay for the sleep through Jayden! Hope he keeps it up! Oh definately. Its nice to come in here and chat about things and know you and what youre going through is normal! Men just dont get it! ;) Ahh sounds like it then hey.. being im guess the morning is when you are usually the fullest. Wonder if theres anything you can do, like maybe expressing a little before her feed? Otherwise im sure she'll catch up soon.
SW.. glad your lil girl is growing well!
Pixie.. oh thats great Beth will sleep through noise! Is a really good thing, especially if you are out. We live on a main road and i love it as both my kids sleep through anything usually.. lol poor Keira even sleeps through Jesse's tantrum! She must really be a heavy sleeper!!!
Kristy.. i wanna know too, especially since swimming lessons start again soon! Hey before i forget to ask you.. if Saturday is all booked up, what other day will you do?
Mel.. oh hun, sounds like a male thing!! Hehe sorry, but im gonna just enjoy it while it lasts :p Hows M going with the drinking?
Tenny.. it goes WAY too fast for sure!
Well this time 2 years ago i was in a ***** load of pain!!!!! I went into labour at 2.30pm the day before and he was born at 1.21am the next morning. Wow. Kinda brings a little tear to my eyes. Even though alot of it is a blur, i can still remember holding him and his little eyes looking up at me saying WTF just happened! What a long way we've come in such a short time. My first born, little baby.. is growing into such a beautiful big boy.
Good evening everyone :)
Hope u all had a good day? I went shopping for a dress & shoes. I bought a dress in sydney road in coburg, across the street from Zobra's. I can't remember the name it's something fashion, the dress is really nice. They have nice dresses there. I bought it for the christening in 2 weeks. The shoes I bought it from Tony Bianco on hight street, preston. I didn't care wat shoes they were but I ended up paying them $109.89 I was going to go to the gallery factory in campbellfield, but I was at high street at the time so i was like i go in there first & see If I would find something, & I did. I'm not one of those people that buy expensive stuff, not that's anything wrong with that. My dress cost me $80.
Tannis- I'm glad everything went fine. Yeah my doc didn't do pap smear either, but I think I'm due for mine soon.
Pixie- Yay for Beth being 1 month old
Kel- Happy B'day for Jesse 2m :)
Tenny- Pretend ur not home, that's wat I do, LOL (sometimes).
Mel- OOHH dear. You must have fun cleaning up all the yogurt. Oh you poor thing.
Mary- How r u sweety. That's good that Izzy is gave you 4 hrs sleep. I'm sure ur sleeping will improve :) Looking forward to friday.
Somewoman- LOL Jonathan was like that to with his hair. It looked unwashed when I put olive oil. I'm going to put it in again tomorrow. How long do u leave in the oil for?
Heya all, just a quick one as I wanna go to bed. Have been meaning to pop in the last few hrs but DH wanted me to watch tv with him.
Lucas got weighed on Monday (does every monday) and he is 4.23kgs. The Monday before that he was 3.9ks so im happy with that.
Kristy- I started using them 10 days after Lucas was born..I guess if they stay where they are meant to then its ok
Mary- YAY on Issy sleeping for 4 hrs straight, its great hey? Lucas hasnt really slept over 4 hrs either but its better then him not sleeping at all.
Kellxx- HAPPY BDAY JESSE, hope you have a great day!
ThePixie- Ive never been quite around Laila and Lucas when they were babies, I use/d the vaccuum near them, Lucas sleeps through Laila screaming, tv up so load that the people a few doors down can hear it LOL.
SW- Wow her stats are great..
Mel- 2mL is 2mL, your doing great hun
Belle- Oh hun, glad your appointment went well. Lucas stays up for long periods of time aswell. Yep Towers is the bigger one!!
Gee DH reminded me that I have a hair appointment Friday at 10am hehe at Rouse Hill.. gunna see if I can get it done thursday night and if not that you can all see my feral hair and its roots (man 8 weeks goes fast) and i will get it done Monday.

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY JESSE!! Hope you have a great day and get spoilt!
Geoff: The Jabiru's are heaps smaller than that haha. Those pics are great, love the QLD'er LOL
Tasia: What a great day of shopping! I miss Melb shopping so much!!
Zee: YAY for Lucas' weight gain! I hope he starts sleeping for you soon...I'm about to wake Ashlea up for a feed, she was up at 3am for a feed cause I fell asleep too early and didn't give her a midnight feed.
I have to try and get Jayden into the Dr's today, yesterday after his sleep he was limping. He did kick his bed but he didn't cry or anything but its been sore since then. This morning he won't even walk on it....Its not swollen so hopefully that means its not broken or fractured.
:cheer: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSE :cheer:
Kel, hope the little guy has a fantastic day!
Zee - know what you mean about the hair, I had mine done when I was 36 weeks I think.... so it's like ten weeks now and the snow cap is getting really out of hand!
Tan - hope Jayden's OK.
Looking forward to the meetup on Friday - now Bear and I just have to figure out where Castle Towers is - never been there before. But should be great.
Anyhoo - brain is still in neutral since I just woke up so big :hello: to everyone and BBL (after caffiene)
Hey ladies!
Just a quick pop in. Mum and dad are on their way down to spend the day with us for Jesse's birthday.
Thank you for all his happy birthday wishes!
Would you believe it.. the day we want him up at 6am so DH can see him open his presents, he sleeps in! lol.. well not really, cos we woke him up  But he was so excited to see all his presents. He got a lawn mower and chain saw, a bus, a plane and a video now dvd player thing (lol which is more for mummy, in hopes it will keep him quiet at the shops!!). So hes had a great morning playing with his new toys! He also got a tractor from Isaac and Kristy yesterday that he had to take to bed with him last night!! He's big into tractors at the moment so it was perfect.
Keira slept from 10pm until 7am again this morning hehe sorry.. but im so proud! :p
Anyways.. gonna run a grab some quick breaky before they arrive.
Have a great day all, and will pop back in this arvy.
xx
morning
pixie- where abouts r u guys i might be able to help with directions i'm pritty good knowing my way around. aren't you in west syd?
Tannis- hope Jayden is ok. let us know.
zee- thats a great weight gain in a week.
Anastasia- glad you found an outfit. i always find it so hard to find nice going out clothing.
kell- yay on the sleep, go keira... and how funny that jesse slept with the tractor.
last nigh was a good night we put caleb and sebastian in bed at 8pm and they didn't wake till 4.30am, i put them back in bed and isaac woke at 6.30am so i had a prity goon nights sleep.
not much happening today. need to do some housework (IT NEVER EVER ENDS:doh:)and maybe gardening during out outside play time this arvo.
the gavescon is working wonders, they are much better at settling now.
oh and i'm happy to say i bought my first size 14 pants in years the other day. proud of myself. cant waite to get weighed again. it will prob be on thursday when i go back to DR for birth control.
take care, i'll pop in and out during the day.
kristy xoxo
Happy birthday Jesse!!!!!!!
:happyforyou::happyforyou:
Tan - I hope Jayden's foot is ok.
Kristy - Great to hear your boys are sleeping well. Whooooohoooooooo! Congrats on the new pant size. That's fantastic. You can come lose my weight for me too if you like. :p
I need motivation. It sucks.
Zee - Fantastic weight gain for Lucus. We never were quiet around DS1 or DS2 either. So they're used to the noise when they're babies.
Mez - Yay @ Izzy sleeping for 4hrs for you. I hope she starts doing it every night. Lol. Yeah, it's suprising how much more washing such a little person makes. I can never get ontop of my washing.
SW - Alyssa sounds like she's going great guns. I hope her cradle cap and milk skin clear up quick.
Re: Papsmears. I was actually thinking maybe if you have a c-section they do them at 6wks, but if you have your baby vaginally they wait for the parts inside to go back to normal, well semi normal. :P I'm not sure.
I was also wondering about tampons too. I feel like I've been having period cramps for like weeks and she still isn't here. I wish she'd hurry up already. I don't really wanna start taking the pill until my first period. Yeah, I'm weird.
Anyone else still having baby brain moments like they did while pg?
Please say you are, so I don't feel lIke I'm more of an oddball then I already am. haha
Hi everyone else and I hope you have a greattttt day.
xoxo
Thanks....We can't get into the Dr's until 3.30pm so in the meantime I have to entertain a 2yo that can't/won't walk and a newborn LOL this will be fun!
Kell: Hope you have a great day with the family! Jesse sounds like he has got lots of great pressents!
Kristy: Woohoo on the new pants size! Have you been doing anything to get the weight off or is being a mum of 3 young boys enough haha Great work anyway.
Tenny: RE Pap Smears- that makes sense there wouldn't be any inflamation with a c-sect (down there) which is the reason my Dr told me she couldn't do it.
Better go, Jayden is crying - I think he tried to get off the couch...might do some painting with him
actually yeh Tennykins i'm under the impression that you start to take the pill on the first day of your period anyway.
i was wondering about the pill also. all the info i have says to start on the first day of your period. but what about that month. what happens if you start to take the pill early does it make your period start when you take the pill and than have the 7 day break from the hormones.. god i should know this stuff.
tannis- i have only just started to use my treadmill now. i think its been carefull eating 3 meals a day + coffee etc and running after the boys. as well as breast feeding twins for 11 weeks helped too. DH commented that he thought my breasts had shrunk, the only place i don't want to loose it. typical. hehe these days without a bra they look like socks with rocks
BBL crying baby
