Mel - that's cool you can be curious, I'm small and unable to give birth naturally which is why I have to have my next one a c-section. Oh and I have fibroids that are in the way of the birthing canal.

Kell - yep we probably are crazy for trying again so soon but I would rather get them both out of nappies and going to school in one hit :p

Tannis - oh how exciting your mum offering you the money, well when you do organise a time hun let us know and we can meet you where ever is convenient for you.

Belle - I hope that you get some rest soon hun. I also hope that everyone gets better soon.

Good afternoon lovelies. Well little Georgia is in bed snoozing and the house is clean thanks to DH's efforts over the weekend, so I have free time. yay. I'm gonna do a load of washing in a minute, but this is more fun. :D

Hi Tan - I'm glad everything is ok with your bubbas, but sorry that Chris is still annoying you so much. I just realised on your ticker that he is 32!! I don't know if he'll change much now. It would be great to see you if you are in Melbourne. I have never been to Northland. I think it is pretty far away from me, but we'll see what we can organise. Actually Doncaster has a brand new Village Cinemas opening too and it is supposed to be really high tech and good. so maybe a movie will be in order.

Mel - no offence but your MIL sounds like a biatch, thank goodness your mum is back to balance things out.

Mez - yeah the weather yesterday turned out great, I can't believe how awful it is today though. wet wet wet. we even got some hail before. I am not leaving the house today. ;)
You reminded me when you said we should meet up with Tan, that it is probably time for the next Melbourne mummy's meet-up. we said once a month right? we'd be close to that by now wouldn't we... Feeb and Tasia are you ready for another meet. also regarding Izzy with her needles etc. when exactly did she have them done? the pedi that did Georgia's said that they shouldn't experience any side effects after 24 hours. It could be that she doesn't like being in the cot during the day cos you are far away from her if you are in your lounge room. or maybe she isn't tired out enough from the sleep before. we sort of do a feed play sleep routine, so since she isn't having that many feeds anymore, maybe you could add another one in during the day, even if it is only half a bottle, and then you could get in an extra playtime and an extra sleep. I find with Georgia that if we do a really intensive playtime for about 20 minutes to half an hour (including change table time with singing and maybe reading a story, some tummy time, and time playing on her back under the baby gym thing, that she starts yawning, and gets a bit grissly, and then she will go to sleep for between about 1 and a half to 2 and a half hours. repeat process.

Kellxx, the Geta thing sounds soooo cute. wow you might end up with a little rocker in your house. can he sing?? maybe your love of Bon Jovi is coming through. :dance:

Pixie - how was dinner at your IL's? I thought that in the last lot of photos you guys put up that Beth looked just like you. however when she was born I thought she was heaps like the Bear. so she obviously has a great mix of both of you.

Tenny - I can't believe that the bubs are nearly 3 months old either. where has the time gone??? and Christmas, gosh, I can't even picture it yet.

Hi Belle - that is great that Tara can fit into Julia's clothes. I am going to put mine all away in size labelled boxes for when we have our next one.

On the TTC comments. I don't know exactly when we will try again, but at the moment I feel like I could do it again now... but then again I have heard that it is pretty common for women to feel this way at around the 3 month mark. not sure why.

Mez - ahhh I see.. :) Well I can honestly say my recovery was SOOO much better after my 2nd c-section than my first.... hardly hurt at all.. (except when i got an infection in my uterus.. THAT was painful..)

So TTC next year - there is me, feeb, Mez....maybe Jess? hehe

Tan - that sounds like fun!! Pick me up on your way through... ;) As long as someone can promise me that i won't run into my exH - I'm in for a trip to Melbourne!!! LOL

Mez - FYI Govt website PDF doc on rotavirus vaccine. Note the side effects section that states "Vaccine recipients developed gastrointestinal symptoms such as
diarrhoea or vomiting in the week after rotavirus vaccination" - gastrointestinal symptoms that include tummy pain that could be the reasoning behind Izzy's current unsettled state. She'll host the virus for up to two weeks, but you can get side effects for up to a week. It's not a full week yet, so give it a couple more days and if she's still unsettled then maybe look for other reasons? We were told that it is pretty common for them to be unsettled with wind-type pain for up to a week. Think we're just lucky in that Alyssa has been fine. A google search showed up lots of mums around the world complaining on baby forums about similar type behaviour in their bubs in the week after the rotavirus vaccine. Their little systems are actually battling a live virus - it's really not too nice. Hope this helps

thanks for the info SW. sounds like a good posibility that she could have tummy pains - hopefully she is over it soon, for Izzy's sake and Mez's. There is nothing worse than when your baby screams and you can tell they are in pain. I remember one of the other mums in my mothers group said that cos it was a live virus that we should be extra careful when handling the poop.

Feeb I have mother's group on a Thursday. I missed last week cos of having a tiler over to fix up the tiles around our laundry sink last week, so I can't really miss it this week. I know you are busy but can you fit in any other day? maybe early next week?

Well miss Keira is almost rolling over :o HOLEY CRAP! Shes been doing it for days! Rolling onto her side. Today she was almost over.. just one more move and she woulda face planted the mat! Id say tomorrow or the day after she'll completely make it over! Jesse never rolled until he was 4 months! Shes also enjoying doing 360's on the mat on her back! Man this kid is going to be crawling and walking in no time :o

Ooow had to ask.. how much are bubs drinking now? those bottle fed.. and esp those on AR Formula??

I'm in town to go to the Def Leppard concert with my bro on that night, so am good to meet up for morning or afternoon tea =) If the monday really sucks, I can do the Tuesday morning, but I need to leave by about 11 or 12ish to get the rental car to Ballarat in time.

Kell - Hayden moves all over the mat too. It amazes me how much he actually moves. LOL. I forgot when Elijah rolled over, and like around what age they do it anyways. That reminds me to go read stuff about milestones just to refresh my memory.
Lately Hayden has been sometimes drinking only 110-130ml then other times he'll have at least 180ml - 200ml. Depends really. How much is Keira having??

SW - Your house sounds great. I really love the internal courtyard you're having too.

Jess - Yeah, time is flying. It's scary stuff. :(

Tan - That's great of your mum! Wow @ Jayden's day sleep. That would have given you a much needed break and time to just spend with Ashlea. I hope you relaxed while he was sleeping. :)

It's so funny that it's like we're all thinking about TTCing again. Lol.
We haven't exactly decided on any time or dates but it's not out of the picture. I think DP wouldn't mind. We never set any amount of kids that we'd like to have either. We're just taking it as it comes I guess and see how money issues are at the time. I'm just not sure if I really want to have 3 boys if that's how things are going to pan out... yah know. :P

Tenny.. oh good. Keiras doing exactly the same with her drinking. Her first bottle and maybe the second of the day she has around 180-200mls.. then the 3rd and 4th are about 110-130mls.. then the last of the day is only about 90-100mls, if that.. as she falls asleep on it. Was just making sure. DH said he remembers Jesse not drinking as much as he was at one stage. A little while ago (im guessing when she had her growth spurt) she was polishing off the 150mls easy. Yeh i just looked up Jesse's to see when he did as she is so close. But yeh i know what you mean.. theyre growing so fast.
Oh i love your ticker photo and the others! Theyre gorgeous hun!!! Well when time comes for you to TTC let me know and ill tell you my "girl recipe" we used to get Keira. My sister used it after 2 boys also and had a girl! ;)

Mel: Bugger! I'd offer at my parents but there is barely enough room for us! FLights are heaps expensive ATM anyway.

I fed Ashlea and put her to bed (thats the only time I spent with her while Jayden was sleeping) then I spent the time on BB, had lunch, did 10 kms on the bike (woohoo, thats the most i have ever done!) and 20 situps. I went into the other lounge to find Jayden sitting on the table watching TV that he turned on himself!

I'm off to SIL#6's new house for dinner tonight...bout time too I've cooked for her often enough LOL I always invite her though cause she is single she doesn't always cook a proper meal for herself. Chris should have been home ages ago and we should be at her house now! SIL#2 called me at 4.35pm to tell me I had to get up to FDC to sign something by 5.30pm or she won't get paid, I told her that was hard with 2 kids on my own, J had dirty nappy and needed a bath, A just woke up and needed a feed and bath,plus I looked terrible haha...but we just made it. THen when I got home there is a msg on MSN saying its ok its only a date and I don't have to go!! Oh well its done now but what a PITA

ETA: I had a boy and girl recipe too that worked both times ;)

Feeb - Next Wednesday doesn't work for me as I have Mother's group either Mon/Tues is good for me.

Kell - Isabel has 150mls of AR and is only now drinking the whole bottle completely. Oh and Izzy is also wiggling around heaps on her playmat I find her off the sheep skin and on our floorboards. Plus she loves to stand have very strong legs. Woohoo on Keira rolling very impressed :clap:

Tan - Let us know when you have booked your flights sweet and we'll organise a get together.

Tenny - I'm doing really well hun, getting lots of sleep during the night (well as much as I'm going to get) so feeling good. I love your photos your boys are gorgeous you have a very good looking family.

Meetup in Melbourne sounds good - I'll have to see if I can come down too! Lots to organise tonight, and DD has been bl**dy awkward today... not sure what is wrong with her, wondering if its because I'm back on antibiotics again or if she is just being difficult.
Doesn't help that I didn't feed her before I went to bed last night, so she was up at 1.30 and then again at 5.30..... she slept through twice last week but now I feel like I'm the only one with a baby still waking up in the night!
And this morning I woke up to find that a chicken we had defrosting in the fridge (in two sealed plastic bags mind you) had somehow managed to drip chicken blood ALL over the bottom shelves of the fridge and in the vege crisper drawers. Just what I wanted to wake up to!
Anyway caught up with a friend I haven't seen in ages, so that was good, and now we are just trying to get ready to go away tomorrow!
Sorry no personals today, just been a completely crappy day (apart from seeing my friend) with DD being a right little so-and-so, and now have to pack so catch you all when we get back from holidays!

Awwww my little man is being a good boy. He is he best. He had his bottle last night at 7.30ish and went to bed at about 8 or so then didnt wake till 5.45am. Isnt he a fab boy...YAY son :clap::dance: Callum also slept in his bed all night too.:dance::clap: My boys gave me a big sleep last night and DH to up to Liam this morning so I got out of bed at 9am..big sleep in!!!

Melb meet up would be great. Id be in it. Any ideas when. Is it alot of money for flights???

Kell Liam will only leave about 30mls if that. When I make up his bottle of 200mls once the formular goes in its up to 220mls so really he is just about having the full 200mls or so. There has only been a few times that he wont finish the whole bottle. And yes its usually at the everning bottle. If they want it they will let up know. We going to have a meet up this week??

Wow!!! this Melbourne meeting is really heating up. Monday 3rd November is part of Melbourne Cup weekend though. Which isn't such a bad thing, but I go away for cup weekend every year. Fortunately for me, it has been cut back this year and finishes Monday morning. I should be right for Monday arvo. I have to get back from Phillip Island but if we can make the meet up like 2 or 3pm then that would be fine. People will be coming from different places so maybe southbank might be the best place to meet. if it is nice weather we should be able to have a very enjoyable afternoon.

Feeb and Mez. I can do Monday 20th. Anastasia can you make it?? where do you guys want to meet up this time?

Pixie, I hope you have a great trip, sorry you had a sh*tty day. The chicken thing would have been such a bummer. Also don't forget that Beth was the last bubba born in our group. Most of our babies are between 2 and 3 months, so if they are sleeping through and Beth isn't then I don't think you have to worry. also just cos Georgia normally sleeps through doesn't mean that I can rely on it. I definitely have my nights where she is up at 4:30 etc.

Feeb - if we are meeting on the 20th can you please send me the baby expo tickets. I would really appreciate it. I was thinking about buying a grow bag but not sure I reeeeeeeeeeeally hate those things. Does it do any good? Oh & I have increased Jonathan's milk up to 150mls, he was on 125mls. With 150mls how many hours should I do it?? I only started like at 8.00pm. Anyone else have there babies at 150ml?

Tassy - why do you hate the sleeping bag? its the best thing ever invented, it sure helped Julia sleep well from 3months onwards and also its great for Tara now, we only put her in it 2 days ago and shes really settled in it.

My baby still wont sleep for long, we're up to 3 1/2 hours at a time now, we've tried most things including baths before bed & wrapping. Tonight we are going to try her in the portacot & see if it makes a differnce out of the bassinette. The longest sleep we ever got was 5 hours and that was weeks ago

Melb girls -I can do meets anywhere just off the Monash fwy/West Gate Fwy/Western Ring Rd (we live just off the monash fwy) & SE suburbs, anything else is too far for us coz its an hour to the city as it is

We had a lovely dinner at SIL's place, except one of her cats attacked Jayden again, he has a scratch less than mm's from his eye from when he was there yesterday then tonight he only got Jayden's tshirt.

Rach: Hope Beth settles for you, it might be the AB's if the same thing happened last time you were on them. Eww with the chicken, I eat meat but I hate touching raw meat esp the blood (I have to of course but I don't like it haha). Enjoy you holiday!

Missy: Yay for the boys sleeping through, Jayden is crying at his gate now....hopefully when he does fall asleep its for the whole night! Flights from Syd shouldn't be too much, they are heaps from QLD though!

I told Chris about mum offering the money, he said why can't she use that money for them to come up here? Fair call really as they haven't seen our new house (which is a yr old this month) and my dad hasn't been up here since Jayden was born, but I told Chris that I wanted to see my friends too, its ok for him all his friends are here! So I told him that I will tell mum that I'm not "allowed" to go! I asked him if he was scared I wouldn't come back, in which he didn't reply. When we got home he said that I hadn't even asked if he wants to go, but he always says he can't get time off (like when Ash was born), he doesn't like hanging out with my friends....It annoys me that he expects me to justify why I want to go down there. Hmm sorry thats my little vent over....I better go Jayden is still awake and playing in his room ...Sorry for the long post.

I'm going into work today to negotiate my hours for when I return next year. I'm not going back until about March but I need to know for day care to get the kids a place. Hopefully it won't take long and I can get home.

Tasia - The grobags are a great invention for our bubs, Isabel sleeps great in them I'm even taking them to NZ in a couple of weeks time.

Not much to report here, just that my little princess is understanding that I am putting her down for a sleep during the day now and is just not having a bar of it.. so I just keep her up until she is exhausted and she falls asleep pretty much ASAP. Its really frustrating cause I want to do so much around the house but can't cause she is up, oh well.

She has been quite unsettled today though - could be the heat, then she was overtired. Both kids are sleeping so I should be getting my lunch ready..... cos I'm starving! I was most impressed with myself last night -was tempted to get maccas and me and DH were having a BIG fight (like I told him to get the F out, and just F'in leave already.. you get the picture) and I managed to cook dinner and not give into temptation!!!! Yayyyy for Mellie...

Mez - I'm so glad you're getting fairly decent night sleeps. Hayden has times throughout the week that he doesn't have a bar of the day sleeping. Just the slight movement that he thinks is you putting him down and he'll start whinging. It is so frustrating. Hayden likes to do lately when I'm going to cook dinner or hang the washing out. :rolleyes:

Feeb - How's Jacob doing?

Pixie - I hope yesterday was just a one off kinda day for Beth and she's a good little bubba while you're away. Have a safe, relaxing trip with the Bear and your babygirl.

Tasia - Hayden has 5 bottles a day still and each bottle we have 180ml in the bottle... sometimes he drinks it all sometimes he doesn't. Even when you up the amount of milk they have each feed, you don't drop the amount of bottles in the day. My DP doesn't seem to like the grobags either. I'm not sure why cause we've never tried them. :hug:

Belle - How're you going? Is Tara sleeping better for you, sweet?

Missy - Liam sounds like he's going so well! It's fantastic to hear. Elijah has been getting out of bed later too. So far it's the only thing that's been good with Daylight savings. lol.

Elijah was a sweaty boy(still is), so it wouldn't have been good for him. So far Hayden isn't like that, but it's not summer yet, so I'm not sure.
