Butter is dairy based, and they say you should avoid feeding dairy in the first 12 months. Having said that, many peeps do feed dairy in small amounts and have no problems. It's up to you to decide how you want to do it for your child. Personally, I wouldn't
We had our first mach nurse appointment today since the move =)))) The nurse is absolutely in love with my girl (gorgeous little charmer that she is), and said she's tracking beautifully.
she now weighs 6.29kg and is 62.5cm in length. Couldn't be stuffed lookin for that chart thingo everyone has been filling in - too much to do and not enough time to bother with that ;) Some other time!
Haven't yet read over everything that has been happening, so not much in the way of personals. Just a quick drop in to update her stats and say how happy I am now that we have made a decision on a builder, and as such should be really getting into things with the house build early next year!! First we need to finalise all the plans, inclusions, figure out electricals, etc. We're going for fully CBus automated electricals so that will add an insane amount to the cost, but will be extremely geeky and cool! Even some of our windows will open and close at the touch of a button (and some will have rain sensors and self close!) ;) So lots of work to do to get that one organised. Should have council approval around April and start building shortly thereafter!! YAY! Might just manage to move in by next christmas, if not then shortly thereafter.
gotta go feed the gal =)
waves to all!
SW- thanx sweety for that. I have given Jonathan mash potato without butter and he loved it. That's fantastic that ur girl is doing well, great stats too.
Hun I wouldnt with the potato. Just milk(formular milk) is fine.
Well had nice day at lindsay's house with lindsay and rach. Beth is sitting up by her self and she isnt evern 5 months yet. She is so cute. Lindsay and I couldnt believe how well she was. Liam was also holding her hand today as well, Kell he is a little stud...lmfao. It was so cute.
Well bbl for a chat if I have time.
Take care and bye for now
oh kell those photos are great, the ones from kristy's house.
see ya
Hey folks!
Like Missy said we had a nice day at Zee's, sorry I couldn't stay long but its a long drive  and I had a late start!
Your boys are both looking great - I think Liam is a bit of a heartbreaker! Kiera better watch out, he's a flirt! Shame I didn't get a photo of him holding Beth's hand it was very funny! Callum and Laila were looking gorgeous too. What you were saying about writing things down reminded me I should write some of her milestones in her baby book
Anastasia what SW said... and the Bear has just piped up that apparently introducing fats other than those in BM or formula can cause stomach problems at this age
SW great stats, and great news about the house! Our little chunk is 7.34kg now  weighed her yesterday
Tan  at Jayden's boobies!
Mel - hope work was OK, yay for daddy daughter day!
Well the wind is absolutely howling here and I'm exhausted.... just going to have a simple dinner, feed Beth and go to bed!
Howdeedooo..
Had a lovely day with my girlfriend. Was so good to see her. Her bubba is teeny tiny! Couldnt believe how small she was! Makes Keira look like a heffa lump instead of just a porky pig!
Good to hear you ladies had a good day. lol.. i think Liam and Keira have an "open" relationship. Shes always flirting with those Hawkins boys too! (Kristy's)
Tasia.. nah i wouldnt add butter just yet. Babies can have yogurt at around 8-9 months. But i probably just wouldnt introduce the butter just yet as hes only just starting on solids plus the salt content in butter isnt good at a young age. Its best not to add anything (esp salt) other than formula to their first foods as you want them to get use to the foods as they are naturally. Oh thats a good sleep for Jonathan! Its all a start at least!
Mel.. lol cute. Hope your DH and M had a nice day together.
Tan.. does he have a night light? Jesse doesnt like the light off either and has one to fall asleep to. Glad you had a nice night.
Ok DH wants to have a go on the Wii so im off.. have a nice night!
lol @ that kell. Oh that is so funny!!!!!
Have fun on the Wii

Soon wake up little miss - even though I HATE to do so since she took so long going to sleep tonight - but I didn't expect her to take so long to go down - and didn't put a good nappy on her - so we have to change her..
I'm contemplating trying to do a nappy change without waking her... hehe....
missy he sang wonderfully!!!!!!!!1 he has such an amazing voice he loves performing but often says no to things to be a twisted 19 year old and annoy mum and dad!! he really should go to uni and study it, (just finished 2 year graphic design course) He has won lots of trophys at eistedfords and has been in many theatre shows.
Arimeh good luck for nappy swap!!!!

Welcome Chantel and welcome to BB!! You can definitely join us in here, we are usually a very chatty bunch but of course things have got a bit quite as it nears to xmas. Is Alexis your 1st baby? Look forward to getting to know you and your family!
Kell: Nah he doesn't have a night light, usually he is asking for the lights off
Pix: Glad you guys had a great time, OMG I wish we all lived in the same state, it would be great to meet up with everyone....one day haha. Beth is such a clever girl to be sitting already! I think Jayden was but Ash is not even close LOL. Her stats are fantastic too! Your doing a great job!
Tasia: Enough ppl have replied but I know one of my friends used to put cows milk in with farex when her DD started solids (although she was 6mths old). Butter I wouldn't use either, pretty sure I just used formula for Jayden as he didn't start solids until 6mths either and I had stopped BF'ing by then.
I know there are posts I have missed, I'm sorry....I'm going to clean up Jayden's toys then go to bed
Oh Chris is on holidays and he has "issues" with me being on the computer...apparently I'm meant to spend all day everyday cleaning and looking after the kids  therefore I may not be around too often but I will pop in when I can.
Hello.
well its almost midnight and i have been feeling guilty for not being here over the last few weeks. I guess i can say i have been busy, but its just another excuse. at the end of the day im just so dam tired i look at my computer and well thats as far as i get. even poor DH has been getting neglected but thats another story.
My boys are going well. i will weigh them tomorrow again but about 3 weeks ago they were 7.9kg (Caleb) and i think it was 6.9kg (Sebastian) but i think they have put on heaps of weight in the past few weeks.
We have started solids. ATM its been all Farex and Jar stuff. I'll probably move over to home made soon but just cause of the money savings, baby food is expensive enough without buying double.when i first started ike on solids i was so worried about giving jar food but these days they are so good and even organic if you so choose. i'm not worried this time, they are healthy little mites, but I did learn from isaac to keep it simple one taste of one vege at a time creates a less fussy eater, so i will be keeping it very simple this time. at least till they can eat regular food with the rest of us.
oh and Regarding not giving butter. most nutritionists recomend mixing a small amount of salt reduced Pure butter (not marge) into carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato well anything orange it helps to release the Keratin and vitamin E and A. and also formula is mad from Whey which is derived from cows milk. just though some might find this info helpful if not interesting i know i did after i started ike on solids. but my poor buggers don't get much, breakfast is farex with pear and bananna puree or similar Lunch is fruit or pumpkin or sweet potato puree and dinner is a single vege puree. will start meat after new Year once they are almost 7 months.
They don't move much but getting there slow and steady their corrected age is still just over 4.5 months so no need to worry.
Pixi its fantastic that Beth can sit up, Isaac was sitting at 5 months too.
kell / missy the pics look great it was a nice day. and yep keira will have a few of our boys after her, she already can batt her eyes to get what she wants.
missy / pixie /Zee glad you had a gr8 day together.
AlexisMyMiracle Welcome glad to have you. its a quick bunch here but everyone is very nice.
Well it look like a few of us got or is getting a wii for christmas. it gr8 fun i kicked my DH's butt. but he has been getting practice and wants a ree match. " BRING IT ON, I AM THE Wii MASTER" sorry but that what i have been saying to DH. hehe.
well its soooo late and i didn't get 1/2 the personals i wanted to get done.
But i'm thinking of you all and hopefully i won't bee too much of a strainger.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS ALL.
