LOL Bec, Dion is fitting into a size one pant, but only if it has an ajustable waist ( gotta love pp) he fits it nicely in length, but they fall down ( I even have some braces for him to hold his dacks up ;) )
It has been horribly hot hey.
:bfp: for all those wishing for it ( not me LOL)
Its a quiet night here, so its going to take forever to finish. I dont usually get on the computer this early I dont know what I'll do for the rest of the night
-
That is the good thing about PP. Mum bought Jonah some braces too because his pants were always falling down, lol. Enjoy your quite night at work, bugger that it's slow when it's not busy. This week seems to have gone really slow for some reason. Normally the weeks fly by but this week feels like it should be over already but it's only Wednesday.
-
LOL I keep telling myself to stop wishing the weeks away. ( you know wish it was Friday, wish it was next week etc) and I try to enjoy that I have weeks to live to enjoy and NOT to wish away. KWIM????
-
Yes it's good to not wish weeks away but it's hard when you've got things to look forward to.
Hey Brooke, yep definitely going to be tall like his daddy :) Have a good rest of your week too.
-
Nothing in particular I was just saying :)
-
What about your trip ??? Isnt that something that you are looking forward to Bec ??
I getcha you were pontificating. me too, the "stop wishing your life away" is a motto of mine, along with
"sorry means its over"
"the only person who can make you really happy is you" and
"you might as well be happy since you've got to live life anyway"
"where there is life there is hope"
"nothing is more important than love"
ummmm well anyway they are Miss V's philosophies on life, welcome to my brain LOLExcuse me all you lovely ladies but its nearly 6 am and I am tired and tend to get prattly at this time, hope you all have a lovely day today, enjoy yourselves, with see you tonight ;)
-
Oh Kate, I'm so glad things are starting to sort themselves out at home. Its so hard trying to work out what's wrong, particularly with 2 girls to contend to. WTG Kelse for cutting 4 teeth! Sounds like she did a Blake - he's always cutting in mulitples. How is Rylee coming along? Is she starting to settle a bit more for you? How far is it until the sleep/settling clinic? I can't remember when you said it was!
Miss V, I love your philosophies on life. They are all so true. I think my favourite would have to be..."sorry means its over." I think I'm going to impliment that one in our house. Sure we have it in theory, but it's a good 'comeback' to a 9yo lawyer who wants to argue everything! Prattle on any time! BTW, did Chris work last night? Was he called to that huge blaze? I saw it on Sunrise this morning. I think they had 20 or so engines there!
Wow Brooke, you've got your prac starting in 3 weeks! How quick that has come around! I'm sure you will all manage beautifully!
Bec, your trip is only a couple of weeks away. If it was me, I'd almost be packing or at least writing lists - I love the anticipation of it all. Is Jonah going with you? Who will look after him when you're seeing Little Britain if he is?
We had skating again this morning, and will again on Saturday. Viv got stung by a bee on Tuesday so we had to cancel yesterday's training. For those who were asking... Bec was it you?... She's got a comp in Dandenong on 3/4 Feb. If you're around you are more than welcome to come and watch. And anyone else if you're interested. I'll post details or email details if anyone is. (Not sure I want to post all details in a public forum, IYKWIM)
-
Kate- Oh woooooooohooooooooo for figuring Kelse out, it's so wonderful when you work out what's going on. Hope it stays that way and she doesn't decide to turn things upside down for you.
Rach- Nup not that far away now. Nahhh, I don't need lists, I just have to make sure all the washing is done, well atleast the stuff we want to take with us and will probably pack the day before and pack the car the night before. Yep Jonah is coming with, we are driving up and staying there until the 16th, and ILs would not forgive us if we didn't take him with us. MIL and FIL will be looking after him that night and SIL and her children are going to go over and spend the evening over there aswell. Yep I was saying that us down here could go and watch Viv skate, I'd love to see her. I'll be in on that if I'm free.
-
Well that's wonderful Kate :D
Well Ben just got a call from 1 vs 100, they've postponed the taping until Tuesday because the blackouts screwed up their computer systems and they're not working properly. Which in a way is good because we don't lose him on one of his days off, we're thinking that it being on a Tuesday now that it would be best if he gets a room in the city for that day so he can sleep for a few hours after work and then sleep when it's over until he has to work again the next night.
-
Kate - Popping in to say, good to hear about Kelsey's milestones! She really has had a busy few weeks. I hope shes feeling better now. I have to admit feeling a bit nervous thinking about what lies ahead for me in a few months with no. 2 coming. But its a good thing too, I expect its going to be difficult, so I don't have any delusions. I don't know if you heard Kate, because it happened while Ry was ill, but we found a house and we're moving next month. So there's change ahead - and its going to be great. I am busy researching Feng shui and other design ideas at the moment, to make sure we start off properly.
Vanita - I like sorry means its over too. Its a good one. Or in other words 'get over it!. 'I am pretty good at forgetting past probs we have, but my DH is terrible for dragging up past hurts when it suits, so I am going to frame that saying too! Bugger about being back at work. I guess its still holiday season for the surgeons, is that why its quiet?
Bec - I hope Ben enjoys the game show. I have no idea what its about, does he have a 1 in 100 chance of winning? Those odds could be worse.
Rachel - how is Viv after the bee sting? I was allergic as a kid and swelled up terribly. Hope she is okay. Best of luck to her for the comp!
Hi Brooke, Hay, Bel, Gemma and anyone I missed - sorry for no personals, but I have a long list of crap to do today.
The course I'm doing is going well, although its very difficult and I am clearly the dumbest in the class, I am trying to see it as a good thing...ie I can learn off the smart ones. Al is sleeping beautifully, its been a couple of weeks of sleeping through so we are thrilled! But the 5.30am - 6am starts of a morning are a bit tough to handle.
Al is tall and skinny too, we have the pants falling down prob here as well. He eats really well, (although no Maccas! Vanita!) and just has a fast metabolism, like his dad. I'm guessing thats why he wakes so early, he is hungry, he normally scoffs two plates of porridge and a piece of toast and is still asking for 'mere' (more, in Danish). Yes he is speaking Danish, the little bugger. A few words here and there, I guess it must be confusingfor him with the 2 languages around, so we expect its going to take some time.
Well ranted on enough! Back to the list of crap to do...
-
Deb- No that's not it, lol. It's called 1 vs 100 because you have 1 person that's the main person and then a "mob" of 100 people that are all answering questions at the same time and I think it works that the 1 person wins money every time someone in the 100 gets one wrong. But along the way the people in the 100 can win money too and get the chance to become the 1, if there's only 1 person in the mob left going head to head against the 1 and the 1 loses the 1 person left in the mob wins all the money that the other person racked up. I *think* that's how it works. I'm sure you'll get there slowly with your class, wow at Al knowing a few Danish words, that's so cool. I'm sure he'll be a little confused until he's old enough to understand.
-
Gee that sounds complicated Bec,thanks for trying to explain it. What a crazy concept! Is it an hour program, I would think to get through 100 people could take a whole season. Who thinks up these things ????? Go Ben!
-
It's really complicated Deb, I think I have kind of explained it but Ben describes it better and in more detail. I'm not sure if it goes for an hour, probably as it's replacing Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
-
Kate, WTG Kelsey and her words. I'm waiting for that day to come with Blake. Mind you, his signing has come a long way in the last week too. He's not much of a talker - like Dion - but he's getting the whole signing thing. If only he'd combine the two!
Bec, I didn't realise that your IL's were in Sydney. I'm sure they'll love to see Jonah, and the rest of the family too. Good luck for Ben and 1 V 100. I'm sure he'll kick ass!
Deb, don't worry about "being the dumbest in the class" although I don't believe that anyway. I'm sure you'll pick it all up. And for goodness sake, you are such a busy woman at the moment, with Al, moving and bubs, it's ok to be at the level you are.
Hi to everyone else. DH's gone to the gym so I'm going to continue watching my Grey's Anatomy Season 2 dvds. *sigh* McDreamy!
-
Rach- Yep all of Ben's family are up there, well apart from his Aunts and Granparents that is. I met Ben on the internet (not sure if you knew that or not) and he moved down here to be with me :) Thank you for the luck I will pass it on to him, and I'm sure he'll do pretty well, he's very smart, smartest person I know, lol, and he definitely likes people to know it too, lol.
-
I didn't know that about Ben and you, but I've met some many lovely people on the internet - when we were in Paris, we met my Belgian internet pal. I love Sydney myself. I lived there for 6 years, and so did DH, and although we knew the same people, we never met up there. It wasn't until I moved to Melbourne that we met. How crazy is that?!
-
Rach love the photo of Blake, very dreamy. I too would love to come and see viv skate, can you email me the details, and will try work it out with my mob. Chris is a sad possum, coz no he wasnt at work, and he's even stationed at Dandy this month. He is known around the traps for being a "white cloud" as he misses all the "good stuff" his shifts are usually very low key LOL.
Bec, WOW that you met on the internet, thats really cool. You guys are my first cyber friends, nto very computer savy ( why I havent got a site to show off photos on - havent figured it out LOL) good luck to Ben, good that you wont lose a day off together. I will most likely watch it ( my sort of show)
Kate, thats great that Kels was having a major maturing moment, and thats why she was having issues. From the depth of despair we grow.
Deb, hey yeah I'm sure youre a real nuff nuff. LOL ( I have trouble speaking english properly much less another language) I am sure AL will find being bilingal very natural. Apparently up until you are 5 is the best time to learn other languages.
well looks to be another quiet night, we are taking the kids iceskating tomorrow, and then its DH's bday on saturday.
-
Ooh V, where are you iceskating? Are you taking the littlies? I'm trying to find something to do to day with Viv.
And although that's his job, it's not a bad thing to miss the big scary mean fires. IYKWIM, although I bet he wishes he was part of the action!
-
Rach- Well there you go, and my mum met my stepdad on the internet too, he's from England though so they had to travel a lot further to be together, lol. Our story was actually in That's Life a few years ago. Ben's dad suggested we write to them with out story and they actually put it in there. I like Sydney but I find that summer up there is way too much for me, I don't handle it very well when we go up but I just deal with it.
Vanita- I can't believe I never told you guys that that's how I met Ben. Thank you for your luck also, I will pass it on :) I also think it's good that Chris misses all the good stuff, although like Rach I'm sure he'd probably like to be in the thick of things. I bet you sleep a lot easier knowing that he usually misses all the good stuff too, I know I would. Hope you had a good day ice skating today and :happybirthday: to Chris for tomorrow :D
-
Rach, I only know one place to go iceskating in Melb. Its in Oakleigh. We took all the kids, and I spent most of my time on the sidelines with Dion ( and the camera LOL) Rianna had a go on the girls b'day and didnt like it, but today thought it was it and a bit. didnt get off the ice for nearly 2 hrs !!!! sooo cute. the smallest skate is a toddler 7 so wont be long til he can have a go too.
Bec, its a nice story to tell your kids, oooh so your famous too??? yeah I guess I do like him being a white cloud, even if he's not impressed ;)
-
Vanita- Yeah it will be and we can show them the article too, I will bring it to a meet for you guys to see some time. I'm sure he will get in on some good stuff at some time, surely he won't miss everything until he retires or whatever?

Hi girls. I'm still here....reading...nothing much happening in my neck of the woods.
DH was grumbing today about the rain (typical farmer...always complaining LOL). Hoever, he is very right about the dire consequences. If the rain keeps up, the grass will strike, but we still have a good 8 weeks of potentially hot weather in front of us and it will kill the newly shot grass shoots. Sigh...if it's not one thing, it's another.....
We're pretty much mended over here too. Pup just got a horrible snotty nose (but he can blow it on request, so that is lucky) and I have a little cough left.
Off for my 12 week ultrasound on Tuesday. Of course, I am anxious about it, but this time, it is not so much that the pg is not going well, but more about my downs risk assessment. My age is catching up with me. DH and I had a chat and have decided that we will definately get a amnio or CVS if it comes to it. But only if it comes to it.
-
Hay good luck for the US. It will all be fine. Glad to hear you are both better and Pup just has the residual snots.
Yep if its not boiling its pouring ( or ATM both !!) I find just trying to get the washing dry the most frustrating. Its too hot to use the dryer, but if you put it on the line it gets wet UGH
Dh had a good b'day his surround sound is soooo loud.. Bit peeved coz his bro and missus were supposed to come over at 2 for arvo tea, well they turned up at midday - and I had just put a zuccini slice in the oven - only really enough for us. So I ended up giving everyone just a small piece and throwing together a salad ( his bro asked for seconds as he hadnt had enough WTF????) UGH that frustrated me no end.... Oh well. we went out to the pub for dinner.YUM. Kids all ratty today though, as had a late night and still were up at 7. Oh well.
Have a good day, hope its relaxing.
-
Hay- Good luck for you u/s and fingers crossed too. I hope everything will be fine and that you won't need to have an amnio done. Well done to pup that he can blow his nose, how clever.
Vanita- Glad that Chris had a good birthday :D Grrrrrrrr at your BIL and his Mrs though, that's so rude. Hope you had a nice dinner at the pub, but poo about all the kids being ratty today, I hope it doesn't last all day.
-
so far it has LOL. Dion and Rianna both went to sleep on the way home from shopping, I go Dion into bed, but Rianna woke ( after 5 mins sleep) then I came on here, and Rianna went back into their room and woke the boy. grrr so he's not even had an hr and she's had 5 mins. hope they will go back down again in afew hrs as theya re just fighting alll the time. grrrrrr
-
I agree Brooke, I mean men's woodles arent that good looking anyway hey.... LOL
I dont get anything out of strippers KWIM??? I had a yarra river cruise just me n the girls for my hens.
Good luck with the toothie pegs. Dion cut his first one a few days ago.
-
top left eye tooth, the other 3 are bulging.,
-
ooh actually I was looking in his mouth whilst he was screaming, and they are all through, well the points anyway. He has been a little unsettled last few nights, one wake around 11. so there you go hope its all nearly over ;)
-
I'm here, we went out to an open day at the new gym that just opened here. We joined yesterday so went to take a look. Looks good and it's apparently the first Beach House 5 star gym in Australia or the first 5 star gym in Australia period (I can't remember which one though) It opens on Wednesday, so I'm looking forward to getting started.
It's soooooooooo windy here today. It's good to have the rain though.
-
*runs in and screams....*
Guess who slept through for the last 4 nights!!??!!!!!
*runs out*
-
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Blake, good for you matey. Oh Rach, that's wonderful, hoooooooorahhhhhhhhhhh.
-
Yay Blake!!!
Hi everyone..
slackarse post as I am really tired! We have been doing some chucking out of some of Miks garbage here over the weekend, he is a bit of a 'collector'... I am trying to convince him that its better to get rid of stuff than move it to collect dust in our new house. Its going well though, he's really trying.
Al is beautiful, no complaints!
Preg is going well, though I am 30 weeks preg, according to photo evidence from last pregnancy, I look about 35 weeks! I am humungous and a bit worried about how massive I am going to become.
All the best for the scan Hay, I'm sure it will be wonderful!
Yay for Chris' birthday. What a cheek of his brother asking for seconds, Vanita! :-)
Quick question for you mums with skinny boys. Do your sons have big tummys? DH is worried that Al looks malnourished, he has a big round hard tummy like you see in photos of malnourished children in Africa. He shouldn't be malnourished of course, but what is with that?? He doesn't seem to have very good stomach muscles, he needs to roll over on his side or tummy to sit up still...is that normal?? Should I have him on a workout plan lol?
-
Deb- Good idea to get rid of junk before you move and not just take it with you. Hmmmmmm, when Jonah stands he sticks his tummy out and it looks quite big but it goes flat when he's lying down? Does Al's not go down when he's laying? I don't know if you need to give him a workout plan. Is he very active? Does he like to run around a lot?
-
Kate- I hope you're able to get lots done whilst Kelse is away helping with gardening, lol, that's so cute.
Brooke- His taping is on Tuesday but not sure when it's going to be on the air.
-
Kate I love decluttering, but I hate trying to find time to do it LOL, hope having Kels visiting helps. Fabulous that all the courses are coming up, hope they help ( still believe in yourself though) ;)
Brooke, isnt it funny how they get attached to certain things, Dions is apples. everytime he walks past the fruit bowl he wants one, even if he's got one in his hand
Deb, dion definately has a big round tummy, and it sucks inward when he lies on his back. Is he a particularly gassy bub ?? I know he used to scream a lot. are his BM normal?? Intolerances such as lactose can cause a particularly bloated tum, and belly aches but BM are usually greeny coloured. Other than that I would say its normal though coz Dion has little stick arms and legs a tiny head, and a big fat tum, thats quite normal for kidlets. As for being worried about bubs size, dont be too stressed with all subsequent pg's you look bigger. With Dion I looked full term at 30 weeks. BUT you should notice the organ cramping not as uncomfortable as with #1 ( you know indegestion, needing to pee, unable to breathe etc etc)
Rach WOOHOO BLAKE MY MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now those teeth are through he's getting back to his usual self.
Well Mum has taken the big girls to the movies ( they are seeing flushed away), and the littlies are in bed, and I should really try have a nap so Im not wrecked tomorrow morning - but I am here instead LOL. I'm terrible I wouldnt sleep anyway, I want to get some folding done and dinner prep started. must go do that , peace wont reign here long MWAH
-
Hi girls.
Deb, I had to laugh at your comment about your DH thinking Al was malnourished. Pup is EXACLTY the same. Skinny arms and legs and a pot belly. We laugh and say he looks likea Beafrin (where actually is Beafra???!! Is there duch a place???) LOL. Anyway, it is 100% normal. Pup has nothing worng with his digestion and he looks like that all the time. His belly does flatten when he lies on his back too.
Well........I am off for the scan tomorrow. Thanks for your words of encouragement. But unfortunately, nothing is going to settle me except a good scan. Mum is looking after the little soldier for the day (bless her....I don't think she knows what she is in for). This will be her first full day of looking after him all by herself (previously it has only been for a couple of hours, or I have been in the house with a migraine...) She told me she bought some patchwork to do during the day - HA HA HA. Not gunna happen!!!!!
Today, Pup has his 18 month vaccination. And he never shed a tear! But boy, did he give the doctor a filthy look. Made us both laugh. A muesli bar and all was forgotten.
Brooke, I went to a Japanese restuarant for my hens night. No male strippers for me either. I mean, their tackle is just so.....untidy! It's bad enough that I have to look at DH's for the rest of my life....why would I want to look at someone's that I don't know!!!
Ohh Bec, I was telling DH about Ben and the 1 vs 100 show. Now every time he sees a new show for 2007 advertised on the telly, he tells me "this is it"! So far, none of the shows have been the one we are after!!!
Well, by the grace of God, good luck and mother nature on my side, I'll be reporting back with a positive story tomorrow night.
-
Hi!
Thanks for the replies about Al's big tummy. Sounds like its normal, his also disappears when he lies down. No green poo here Vanita, although he could well have lactose or wheat intolerance, as Mik is intolerant. I haven't noticed his BM (? poo?) or wind passing to be out of the ordinary. So will continue to keep an eye on it. Bec he's very active, but I wonder if he should be doing some variation on sit ups to build up his tummy muscles, maybe its just lack of muscles that is the reason for the beer belly. And I'm not sure about Biafra, Hay..?!
Nice of your mum to look after Pup while you're at the scan, Hay. Surely he will 'help' her organising her patches! Lovely that she is so optimistic tho! All the best for the scan.
Gotta run sorry for no personals..BTW we have had our first snow fall today. It is so pretty and white outside. Al was very intrigued by it this morning. He would have been too young to remember last year. So this afternoon I look forward to playing with him out there....... and throwing a big snow ball at him! hehehe (evil laugh)
-
Hay thats what mum says about DIon too, that he looks like a biafren.... funny  good luck with the scan, will be looking forward to hearing things are wonderful
 patchwork - who did she think she was looking after ?? the cows LOL mum has givin up doing anything but hanging out with the kidlets ;)
Deb, snow - how lovely I keep saying we must take the kids there again this year, Rianna went when she was 18 mths but I think wouldnt remember. Mik shouldnt have green poo if he's lactose intolerant ( I am too) its just littlies that come out that way LOL
nooo you dont need to do any exercises with him, they have the stongest abdo muscles
Well I forgot to mention that Dion had his chickenpox imm today and so did Rianna, both went really well - Rianna tried to pull the needle out though shoulda seen the look on her face - priceless. Fingers crossed its enough and we dont have to go through it like we did with the big girls. They had chicken pox twice, once at 18 mths ( very hard to get them to stop scratching ) and again at 3. both times were severe and ended up in the RCH. Not fun 3 days each in hospital ( not at the same time either) well ahve a good one and see ya all tomorrow ( or tonight LOL)
-
lol Vanita..sorry I meant to be talking about Al's poo! I have no idea what colour Mik's poo is!!!
BTW Al thought the snow was too cold! He was a bit of a sook about touching it, but loved stomping around and of course kept heading straight for any deep icy puddles to splash in.
