Megan - just because i am a sticky beak - what type of pram do you have and what type are you looking at getting?
Attn Qld's/brisvegasers, I, DH and DD will be coming to brissy in a couple of weeks soon- get there 24th and stay till 1st dec? If you have it then coupld i join in/ hijack your meetup.
My bro is at ennogera at the mo with army and is having a parade on the friday i think it is..
If you dont want me to come thats cool too.
sara
How cool it this: i just went into facebook and there was a flyer/ad for bellybelly!! heheheh
Anyways by now, am off to fold / stuff nappies.
bye
Sara sounds good. We should definately meet up over that time. DH will be away then, so I will definately be up for some adult interaction. Maybe even the meet up could be at my place, just a thought. I'm not too far from Enoggera, about 45 mins from coast and about the same from Caboolture, might be a good central place to meet. But like I said just a thought, I wouldn't be offended if anyone comes up with a better idea.
BBL for some more talk.
hi everyone! just a quick question...does anyone know of any sleep schools in melbourne? I know of Tweddle but don't know of anyone that has been there? thanks in advance
Megan, I would definately look at a new pram. I know of one of the reverse handle prams that I would have definately bought if we didn't have another one already. Its a steelcraft one, if comes in I think 3 different models, but all have 4 swivel wheels. So when using it in the reverse mode the front (back) wheels swivel as well, so it's still easy to steer. And they aren't all that expensive either. And prams on ebay always sell at good prices. Let us know how you go. I just went looking yesterday at a side by side stroller. I love the tandem we have, but we are going to be buying a new car in the new year, that have 7 seats and I want to be able to put in a stroller with the back seats up and the tandem won't fit. And I think the kids would now appreciate sitting side by side. DH didn't like the idea of me spending more money on another pram, but after I sell the tandem on ebay, we will only be out of pocket I'm guessing around $100 tops. So to bad if he still isn't happy, these things have got to be done.
Well here I whinge about growth spurts and lack of sleep, and my little man does 9 hours last night!
What a champ!
Hopefully it continues, but I doubt it! lol
He has def had a growth spurt, as even Adam can see a difference in him.
Everyone has commented on how much he has grown in 5 days.
I am so glad, as it means that all the effort I have put into bfing is paying off. It's been worth all the struggle. The Bfing is getting better and better everyday. I am so glad:)
On the TTcnig for #2, well I won't be considering it for another 6 months. I STILL have one little stitch that just wont come out! I will have to visit the docs next week and have it removed... I am dreading that as its not a nice feeling.
Although I must admit, I am starting to wish I was preggers again! Call me stupid, The throwing up every day for 9 months, and the inability to do much in the last 3 months, has not put me off!
lol
I have had my heart set on 2 kiddies, but I am a little worried that DP and I love kiddies so much, that we will have more! EEkkkk!
Well it's our 5 year anniversary tomorrow, so we are going into town tonight, leaving the little guy with my flks, and going out. We were going to g to Madison Spa for the weekend( for those of u that know the place;)), but we'vve just got too much to do at the new place.
We may even just put it off for a couple of weeks and just fly to queenslad for a weekend, we havent decided.
ANyways, my little 'angel' requires IMMEDIATE attention! Especially if I would like my ear drumks to stay intact;)
Will pop back tomorrow!
Hugs to all
Nicky
Hope everyone is having a cheery Saturday.
I've spent the last two nights at my mum's place where my brother,SIL and their 11m old are also living. It's nice to have some company for the two of us when DH is away. Also, I get a breather now and then throughout the day - mum would steal Autie any chance she gets. Took me ages to get up the courage to spend a night away from home - what if I forgot this, what if she didn't sleep, what if it mucked up her routine, etc, etc. The first time I stayed I had a mini panic attack while putting her to sleep and nearly went home! Had to force myself to do it more often to get over it and I'm very glad I did - dinner gets cooked for me!
I had a look at some photos mum took in hospital the night Autumn was born that I hadn't ever seen and OMG there are some shocking ones! Me snoring off the drugs with Autie attached - boobs hanging out everywhere, mouth open - thanks mum.
Mel - I think your place sounds fine if you are willing to have us all. Does it feel like home yet?
Megan - There were only two things I wanted in a pram and they were a reversible handle and a 3 wheeler suitable for the kinds of walking DH likes to do. Naturally, I couldn't get exactly what I wanted but the Beema Q is a 3 wheeler and while the handle doesn't reverse, the canopy does. It's not quite as good but an ok compromise. On top of that, it's one of the few prams that passed the Choice magazine tests. It is a little heavy though.
Nicky - Ouch at the stitch - almost makes me glad I had to have a CS!
Zofia - congratulations! Sounds like you had a lovely day. Autumn doesn't like waiting around in traffic either - poor Diana :D
Re: the ongoing sleeping bag drama - mum made me one yesterday out of a fine cotton with lots of holes (not sure what you'd call it but not unlike a pretty design fine mesh I guess) So cute with a little pink dragonfly on the front. It's definitely much thinner than the .5 grobag so hopefully it will do the job for summer.
To those TTC, wow! you are brave! I wish I was that brave. Autumn took 2 years but I don't think I could bring myself to try again so soon even though age-wise, it would be the sensible thing for me to do. I wish you all the best of luck!
Hi ladies
Hope your all having a nice weekend.
I woke up this morning feeling like i have been runover by a truck!! The damn flu's back and im not happy.
Well we seen our photo's and they are just fantastic, i was suprised at how well they turned out considering ethan got quite grumpy. They were pretty expensive and we did go a bit over board with choosing what we wanted but is worth every cent. The only bad thing is as its so close to christmas, instead of taking a week to get them back it will take 3 to 4 weeks. Today we went and had a look at a house we are considering buying, its gorgeous and both DH and myself are in love!! Its in need of a little TLC but has huge potential and is in a nice area within walking distance to shop's, dr's, hospital's, school and.....Mothers Group is about 20 steps away! Lol. Fingers crossed all goes well and we get the house. Not looking foward to selling ours though.
Bec- aww xavier is such a cutie, and he's grown so much! They just grow so fast! Glad that the fractured pelvis didn't get in the way of your delivery, ouch though!
Raels- I always end up going shopping and never come back with anything for myself! Hope oliver start sleeping again real soon.
Oops gotta go Ethan's demanding my attention, its lunch time :D
BBL enjoy your weekends.
Thanks for all your advice on the pram girls! I actually personally really like my pram (Em - it's a Steelcraft Transition) but unfortunately the king of the house who has to ride in it doesn't........but..........we went and looked at a few today and put him in one of the reverse ones (might be the one you were talking about Mel cos it was Steelcraft and the handles moved) anyway he was fine for a bit but then the lip dropped again and he wasn't overly happy. But we were on our way back from Torquay and he was tired anyway. So...it was on sale for $250 which is ace but was just scared i would end up with 2 prams the fussy little critter wont go in. So......i think i will borrow a friends from mothers group and take him for a reasonable walk and see what happens before i spend the money! So.....that's where we are at for now!!
Lucas has slept for a whole 15 min this afternoon so i am out of time, will BBL hopefully!
hey everyone!!
I've been a bit MIA these days... I have been reading through the posts and TBH I have been too lazy to reply or type something.. and today its just going to be a quick one....
Feeling a bit flu-ey today!! I've been getting a bit sick lately. I think I might need to start taking vitamins or something like that.. Hopefully Avaleigh wont get it cause she just got over a cold last week.
Wedding plans are going well. Jason has his suit, pants are just getting taken up and we need to buy some shoes. My wedding dress is arriving in the shops this week so will go in for a fitting soon to see how much needs to be altered. Cant wait to see the dress again!! Hair trials have been booked in, thinking about seating arrangements now - I jsut wish that everyone would hurry up and RSVP!!
Anyway I gotta go, Avaleigh is whinging in her bed again, she jsut doesnt want to go to sleep even tho she is tired!!
Hi all
AHhhhhhhhh!! I went out last night to a 40th birthday party and had a great time. I restricted myself to two drinks and was home at 10.30ish. Sounds so responsible but I have still only manged two hours sleep. Firstly DH woke me when he got home which wasnt late but he still woke me whenhe got into bed and then Jesse has been awake on and off all night (he is sick) and then DH got a work phone call at 4am and 4.30am just as I was drifting off to sleep. Oh and Oliver woke once to tell me he needed to put some socks on! So all in all I am feeling terrible even though I did the responsible thing and didnt over indulge and got home early. Looking at the positive it was a great night and was nice to get out and have some adult conversation without having to worry about the children.
Question - I am meant to be meeting a friend today for lunch who lives interstate and she is visiting for 6 days. As I have only had 2 hours sleep do you think it would be rude to put her off to another day? My concern is that I know she is really busy while she is here so she might not have much spare time if I dont meet her today but I just dont have the energy. Dumb question I know but my sleep deprived brain just isnt functioning.
Well I am going to head off. Oliver will no doubt wake soon so I guess there is not much point going bck to bed!!
Have a great Sunday
Take care
Jem
Hi everyone,
hope everyones been having a great weekend.
Happy Anniversary to Nicky and her DH.
And Megan, Happy four months to Lucas!
Jemima - not too rude at all, I'm sure your friend will understand.
Well, our little Oliver has had his first taste of rice cereal. After 5 nights of waking almost every 3 -4 hours and not being very settled of a daytime, I decided to give it a go. It went great, he swallowed it down like he'd been doing it forever! I gave him a couple of teaspoons and then put him on the breast. Afterwards he was so content and happy. He went off to bed at around 8 and slept for 11 hours!!!!!!!!!! I got up at 3am to express cause by boobs felt like the might explode. I pumped almost 200 mls and still felt really full. I don't know if 200 is a lot cause I don't express very often.
I feel like a new woman! Just a question though. If a baby was to sleep like that every night, how would that affect a womans milk supply?
Gotta go, I can hear my gorgeous son giggling with his big brother and I want to go play with them.
Happy Sunday!
Hey everyone!
I have been lurking but don't really have time for personals at lot of the time!
Megan- Where abouts do you live?!? I am kind of near Torquay ;)
Well things in our camp have been up and down latley... I seem to be losing my milk supply despite trying everything I can :( Anyway, if it happens it happens but I am really trying to keep it going and build it up!!!!!
I put Oscar in his jolly jumper yesterday and he LOVED it! It was sooo gorgeous.... he was giggling because he was having fun and I think that is just beautiful!
I will try and come back later! Hope everyone else is well and all the best to those TTC ;)
Shmea, you asked about sleep schools, I dont actually know of any, but ask/call your MCHN, or I think in the Blue baby books it has a list of numbers in there that could help you, or the Royal Childrens Hosp could probably put you on to someone/where!???
Raels, I get about 200ml each time I express, it's a good amount, I just freeze it!
Um if bubs is sleeping the 11 hours & not waking fora feed then it means your supply will settle down to not making that feed as bubs isnt requiring it (IYKWIM), your breasts make the amount of milk that bubs needs/wants so they wont make less for the other feeds as such, just not make as much overnight for the feed he now isnt waking for... I hope that made sense, but if you express it, then you will continue to make some!
We are all great here, Zy's just so happy & although he has been waking at like 4am, he feeds & goes straight back down, so I dont mind if he wants it, he can have it... I am still getting plenty of sleep..
Hope everyone si well!
Happy Sunday everyone
Jem – you poor chook, 2 hours sleep just sucks. I’m sure your friend will understand if you need to reschedule, especially if she has kids herself.
Raels – woo hoo for the 11 hours sleep, hopefully there are many more. I’m pretty sure that once they do start sleeping through the night regularly your milk production regulates itself accordingly, which is a good thing, because it’s so uncomfortable when you’re exploding, not to mention messy if you’re a leaker like me.
V – sorry to hear you’re under the weather a bit. I know that you’re trying really hard to get into shape for your wedding, but have you been overdoing things a bit? As a BF mum, you need to make sure you’re getting enough kilojoules from the right sort of foods (ie veggies, fruit) to keep yourself in health, plus it’s good for Avaleigh, cos she gets the benefits too.
Megan – trialling a pram seems like a good option, better than buying one only to find that Lucas still doesn’t like it. But hopefully you will find something that he’s happy with, either that or he will grow into liking what you’ve got really soon.
Sacha – yay for being looked after by your mum a bit. Isn’t it fantastic when someone else cooks dinner for you! LOL at your horror photos, I give you much sympathy, because I don’t have a single photo from hospital that I can show, as I look like a complete spaced out druggie, all puffed up & with enormous bags under my eyes.
Zofia – you looked gorgeous on your wedding day, so glad that it went well for you, even if Diana did have a moment..
Nicky – hope you’re enjoying your anniversary weekend, and OMG for still having a stitch. Good to hear that the BF has improved for you.
Jessikah – Bummer on getting the flu. The house stuff sounds exciting though, I hope that you get it.
Well, all is good on my side of the fence today. Liam is getting too long for his bassinette, so it’s time to migrate to the cot. I have my SIL coming over to show me how she does the blankets as she does them really well so I want to copy her method. I can’t use a sleeping bag yet, because Liam still wants to be wrapped. Anyway, I put the waterproof lining & the sheet on, then we put Liam in for a little photo shoot, this being his 1st time in the cot and he was so excited by it all. He also got to meet his new teddy bear which was a great hit – straight into the mouth. All the time kicking his legs & making as much noise as he could, really funny.
Quick question – Pat tried to give Liam some EBM yesterday, but he’s completely rejecting drinking out of a bottle. Does anyone have any tips on how I can encourage him to drink (Liam that is), as I’d like to start offering him water now that it’s warming up?
Jan, let Pat try to feed him, coz if you do he will smell your milk & know your his usual restaurant!!!
So perhaps if you go outside or wherever & let Pat try for a while... Eventually he maytake it, although in saying that Babies get fluid from your breasts/breastmilk & dont as a rule NEED extra water in a bottle in hot weather!
Zyon never had any in Bali, unless it was to mix in his Gaviscon!?
Hi everyone
I feel like I haven't been around for ages, although it's only probably been a few days...
I am planning to do a propert write-up and post some more photos of the wedding soon.
Diana had her first outing to the beach yesterday, but I don't think she liked it very much. Too cold and windy... She got to dip her feet in the sea for the first time though, so that's kind of cool.
Hi to everyone. Hope you had a good weekend.
Morning!
I'm jumping on for a quick few minutes while Autumn has a nap before second breakfast. DH comes home tomorrow and I really should be tidying up a little, but you know how it is, I"m the queen of procrastination.
TOJ - Hope you kicked that bug before it took hold too badly and are feeling better today. Any news on the new house front?
Megan - Great idea to try before you buy - let us know how you go.
Jem - How did your friend go with the raincheck? I had a friend from interstate visit the other evening and spent most of the time either feeding Autumn or in and out of the bedroom putting her back to sleep - luckily she (the friend) is very easy going and not high maintenance.
Raels - first solids - how exciting for you both! Still can't bring myself to try it just yet. How cute that they are playing together already :)
Dani - Good luck with BF. It's great that you're going to keep trying.
Tracey - I can only laugh at myself when I hear you get 200ml at each express - I'm lucky to 40!
V - I wonder the same as Jan - are you looking after yourself properly? You will look gorgeous no matter what so try not to put too much pressure on yourself.
Jan - how did Liam go with the move to his cot? And with the bottle? Trying different teats can help, as can making sure the flow is not too fast (ie - getting the right teat for the stage) You could try having him half reclined facing you (or Pat would be better) and aim the teat toward the roof of his mouth. Also, it's possible to be too gentle as weird as it sounds, you may need to push it in a little more firmly at first so that his lips reach the wider part of the teat. Good luck!
Zofia - 'firsts' are so much fun - even if Diana was a little hesitant! I can't wait to get Autumn to the beach - she has the cutest little wetsuit to wear when we eventually get round to it!
Speaking of beaches etc., does anyone take their baby boating ? We love to fish and boat but I'm too nervous to take Autumn in it yet.
MORNING!!! Although it's almost arvo!! I;m sposed to be cleaning ironing@! Better get going as I am heading out in... Crap 1hour & I;m not neraly ready!!!!!
Hi there everyone!
Wow this thread is moving!
We had a great night saturday night. It was so good to go out just me and DP.
We drank a bottle of wine with dinner ( lol), had the works, and then went out for a little bit, and caught up with friends.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I havent had the chance to read posts yet. Will pop back later and do it. I'm heading out to Dp's parents, adn possibly into town, to get som material to make curtains. OMG if you knew me IRL, you would laugh and possibly freak out, about how domesticated I have become since moving out of town and becoming a mum!
lol
Have a great day all:)
Nicky
Hi everyone,
Well, for the second night in a row Oliver has slept 11 hours. It's great....I'm loving the sleep that I'm getting. Although I still wake up every few hours though, which is fine. I usually get up and check him, have a little look at my gorgeous bub.
Tracey - wow 200 mls every time!!! I did it again this morning and I'm going to freeze it like you do. But I'm pretty sure I only get this much because of Oliver sleeping so long. You must have plenty of milk to get 200 each express. How often do you pump?
Sacha - we love fishing and boating too, but I'm with you, I'm a bit nervous. We did take him fishing a couple of months ago and he slept in his pram for the whole three hours that we were there. Can't say that I would take him on a boat yet though. We don't own one yet, we usually just hire, and I wouldn't take a baby on one of those. Depends on what sort of boat you have though.
Hi ladies
Hope you all enjoyed your weekends.
Well ethan has been an angel at night time...he slept 8 hours last night and 11 hours the night before!! YAY!! best thing was after a prod and poke and promise that i would let DH spend some quality with his PS2 he got up and gave ethan his first feed and let me go back to sleep for a little while. Unfortunately i didn't have the best sleep last night though, as i kept waking up coughing and sneezing and was really congested and feverish, so feeling a little under the weather atm.
Megan- Hows things going with the pram? We will be up for a new pram as when we got this one we didnt even think about a toddler seat, and this one cant have one attached! I like it although it is a bid wide!
Veronica- Glad the wedding plans are running smoothly. Please make sure you get some rest in though, so you dont end up sick. As some one else said you will look gorgeous on the day no matter what. take care hun.
Jem- Yucky..2hrs sleep you poor thing! How did things go with you friend? Glad you enjoyed your night out.
Raels- Yay for oliver sleeping so well, its great to get a good nights sleep. He must have loved the rice cereal! Has he had any more? Ethan is the same with his solids.
Oshani- Hope your milk supply builds back up in no time. Glad oscar loved his jolly jumper!
Tracey- Glad Zyon is happy and going well. Good luck with the cleaning. Hope you managed to be ready on time to go out!
Janno- Goodluck with the transition from bassinette to cot! How cute liam's little photo shoot sounds:) Hows liam going with the bottle feed?
Zofia- Its great taking them places for the first time. Im sure with time Diana will get used to it. We live a long way from the beach so im not sure when ethan will have his first visit.
Sacha- Unfortunately i didn't kick the bug before it took hold, its settled in now just hoping not for too long. As for the house thing, we have an appointment with a financial advisor this afternoon and if all goes well, we will put an offer on this afternoon. Trying not to get too excited! Good luck with tidying up before DH gets home. My DH leaves tomorrow, so then i have to tidy up, LOL!!
Nicky- Glad you and DP had a nice night out! Good on you for making your own curtains. I wish i was a little more domesticated lol.
Okay well i must go as we are going to take a walk to the shops, and have lunch before heading to our appointment with the financial guy. Fingers crossed all goes well and we can put an offer up today.
BBL. have a nice day ladies.
Hi all,
MrsDaisy, I started my Christmas shopping in june this year when myer ad big sales
Sara, Lol I bought Xavier some dunlop volleys last week because we have sil wedding this weekend coming and well I needed shoes for him.
Megan, no point in having a pram if your not going to use it, so get one you will use. Xavier was getting cranky about 2 weeks ago now because he was still laying down so I have sat him up now and so far so good. I think he was sick of the view.
Shmea, I think most of the major birthing hospitals will have some sort of affiliation with a sleep school, perhaps talk to your MCHN as they can usually refer you.
Nicki, woo hoo, 9 hours
Sacha, I know what you mean abut putting to sleep in a strange place. I haven't been to visit my dad in ballarat much for the same reason, although I love the way your mum cooks, can someone cook for me too?
Jessikah, nice house find, it will be great to be so close to everything. I never even dreamed that me fracturing my pelvis at 16 would have an impact on having babies. I don't personally see why it would I mean the bone gets stronger where it heals and it's the ligaments that do all the work when bubs is pushing out.
V glad to hear the wedding plans are going so well. You sound very busy, which I'm sure you are loving, what are you going to do with yourself once you have nothing left to do  finally rest??
Raels, wow great sleep after some food, sounded like he needed it. Your supply will adjust slowly to the change so long as you only express for comfort reasons and don't empty (unless you want to maintain that supply and get up in the wee hours of the morning all the time. If i'm really full I can get 100-150 ml from each side.
Jan, ditto on what tracey said for the feeding ebm. I did notice when nathan was warming a bottle he put the top on using man strength which is too tight and makes it too hard for bubs, so bubs will appear all fussy and if he does drink will get a fair bit of wind
Ok well gotta go, expecting mr to wake soon, he's slept heaps today!!
woke at 6.30am, back in bed at 8am, then awake at 10am back to sleep at 11 am awake at 12pm asleep again at 12.45 pm and he's just starting to stir a little it's 2.30pm. I'm expecting no more sleep for the day though.
For anyone who is interested you can find me on facebook too, under Rebecca Emerson. still working it all out though.
Hi,
Have updated some photos into the gallery now there are some ranging from birth to fairly recent
hey everyone!!
its so hot in perth today! Meant to be 39 degrees and right now it is 38!! I hope the sea breeze comes in early... I went to the gym this morning and put Avaleigh in the creche and just when I was finishing one of the ladies came to get me because Avaleigh woke up screaming and no one could settle her! She calmed down as soon as she was in my arms... Not too sure when it was about, maybe because she was so hot but she didnt look thirsty?? What does everyone do with their babies on the hot days? I am thinking of maybe giving cooled boiled water.. I know that breastfed babies dont need water but maybe it would have been good to give Avaleigh today when I was up in the gym..
Thanks everyone for your concerns about me maybe over doing it, but I dont think that I am. Yes I am getting sick a bit but I always get sick and what I had on Saturday was over by Sunday. I pretty much live in the fast lane.. LOL
Zofia - I read that you had your wedding last week - congrats! Cant wait to hear all about it..
Jan - good luck with the transition! I remember trying to get Avaleigh to sleep in it was tough!! During the day all she did was look around at everything, so one night I decided to get her to sleep in it and she did, she slept the whole night!
Sacha - we have a boat but its not really kid friendly. I would love to go on it but Jason wont let us!! Which is fair enough because he says the spray is really bad..
Rebecca - I got no idea what I am going to do with myself after the wedding.. well I've got Avaleigh's christening to think about!! And yes, finally rest.... I am thinking of maybe finding some work to do from home... but thats not something that I really want to do.
Anyway, better go and have a shower.. I will try and get some new photos of Avaleigh up on her site one of these days, been so slack with that!
Hi ladies...it's been awhile once again since I've posted...goodness you all can chat!!! *hehe* Lately I've been able to read but not post anything of length b/c Alessia has decided that sleep during the day isn't her friend! *lol* We're still going ok through the night with the occasional wake up b/c she's gotten her hands free.
The warmer weather here now has me a bit frazzled as I am so used to rugging Alessia up! I've resorted to popping the air conditioning on and leaving her still in a few layers, otherwise she won't sleep at all! She definitely has picked up an extra feed during the day if it is hot - poor little thirsty thing! I haven't seen the need to give her boiled water - much easier to just give her bb's - no sterilising needed!
Ooops screaming baby - take care everyone!
Hi girls,
Just popping in - this is going to be a short one! Things here are going well, although I think the hot weather has Amelie a little rattled (or maybe she is just growing again - huge chubba bubba that she is!! At last weigh she was above the 97 percentile line on the chart!!) Hopefully this sleep will be a bit longer than the rest of them have been so far today.
Have my last organised mothers group meeting on Wednesday- hopefully we'll continue on after that though.
Zofia - glad to hear the wedding went well!
V - good luck for your wedding - sounds like things are under control (don't you hate it when people don't RSVP on time, though!!)
Bec - nice pics!
Everyone else - sorry I don't have a lot of time, but hope all is well!
Veronica, even though you shouldn't need to give her water 39 degrees is pretty hot, at least the people at the creche would have something else to try. Waking up hot and not in her own bed was probably a bit scary. Xavier wakes up screaming if he has a pain, and it's a full on scream.
Oh and I can see you now, no sooner will you be finished with wedding, then xmas then christening, then easter, then you will have to start working on avaleighs first birthday party.
Fran, i think when it comes to heat you gotta do what you gotta do, I'm pleasantly surprised so far some of the really hot days we have had all xavier seems to want to do is sleep and drink, works for me.
Belinda, I'm in 2 minds over if I would like our mums group to continue afterwards. I love seeing other people but hardly any of them open their mouths, I think if we got together unassisted there would be silence and this is after having met for 4 weeks so far and we are going to meet 3 more times. I don't know if they are shy or if the rest of us just don't fit their mold of possible friends. Well not much skin off my back, I'm going back to work in January.
Hi everyone!
Nice hot one up here today!
Its always a few degrees warmer than being in Bendigo.... thankgoodness we moved to a place with air conditioning!!!
Our mothers group has met at least twice since we finished up, but I havent been able to make it due to our move. Hopefully I will still get invited! lol
Otherwise, theres a group that I am going to join up this way on wednesday, with kiddies of all ages. Just all the ladies from the surrounding areas. They catch up at the same place every weds. Its a 15 minute trip. Beats driving an hour to Bendigo for no reason.
Rebecca - I had no idea who u were when I accepted ur friend request on facebook!! pmsl. I did work it out eventually.
I love facebook, and If anyone wants to add me, I'm Nicky Hercus.:)
I promise not to throw too may sheep at you!
lol
V - Good luck with all the wedding plans! I don't know how you do it all. I am in awe.
look at me, cr@p with the personals! My memory is shot now:S
I promise to work on it over the coming weeks:)
Love to all
Nicky

Hi Jas, hope all is well!
Hi megan!! Hope u can get ur arms free!!
lol
Well, not much here. Feeding is starting to become difficult again. He just won't suck properly sometimes and it's really affecting my supply:(
Must call the LC again tomorrow.
Are anyone elses bubbas starting to get mega clingy?
Lach is def becoming a big time mummies boy. He will still go to pretty much anyone, but when he is really screaming, we are finding that I am the only one who can calm him. And its instantaneous.
Hope he doesnt become completely dependant on me. I will continue to leave him with other people so that he can get used to them.
well, hope u all have a great sleep tonight:)
I am hoping I do aswell
Sweet dreams!
Nicky
Nicky-ditto on the super clingy!
Kaetlyn was screaming last night and MIL was devistated that only I could settle her, and again it was instantaneous. Sucks though, i was cooking dinner for all the family at the time, and DH is upset he cant do it- settle her not cook dinner
Morning All...
I am in such a bad mood this morning!! Last night I decided to talk to Jason about this stripper that he is having at his buck's night. The guys have organised to go away for three days for dirt bike riding and drinking. Its bad enough that he is going away for three days and now they are going to get him a stripper!! I trust my man 110% but the thought of him looking at another naked woman and this woman rubbing herself over him or whatever they do, is making me feel really uncomfortable! He thinks I am being silly and maybe I am but I just dont want him looking at another woman! He was saying that the stripper is the last 'hoorah' before getting married, so she can 'jiggle her bits'!! I couldnt believe it when he said that!! So I stormed out of the bedroom and watched TV for a bit. I went back in and he said sorry and I said that I really dont know what to say to him..... And this all happened after DTD last night!! Yeh what I great way to end the day. I really thought that he would see it from my point of view... I know that I dont want to look at another man so why should he look at another woman!! He doesnt even really want this stripper, he's letting them get it for the other guys. I just hope the guy organising it cant find one!! So yeh this morning I am still feeling pretty dark about it all.. maybe I am overreacting but I cant help the way I feel. I am hoping that Jason sees how strongly I feel about this and tells them to call it off........ *sigh*
Anyways, I am going to have a shower to try and wash away this feeling.. I cant wait to get to the gym, that always makes me feel better..
Hi all,
Lol Nicki, I thought the same thing when Fran added me, took me a minute to work out who she was. Did you know we have a friend in common, Megan, I used to work with her. I seem to be generally the only one to calm Xavier. It depends how far his gone. He has a point of no return with other people, even nathan but I think that's because he doesn't do it right lol
Megan how was lucas after his needles, was there a difference in reaction for him between his 2 month and 4 month needles??
Sara I try to let Nathan try to settle xavier but when he tries only one way and gives up and xave is becoming absolutely distraught I have to just take him. the crazy thing is that when he does get quite distraught my mum hands him back to me, but my IL's try to calm him and they make it worse because he just doesn't want them, and I just want to take him back off them and yet I feel like I can't because they are just trying to help and I don't want to look like the *****y daughter in law. I almost can't wait until he can say mum or do the reach out thing so he tells them he wants me.
Another thing is Nathan doesn't understand that just 'cause he can listen to that scream doesn't mean I can. It's really hard for a mum to hear that.
Veronica, try not to stress over the stripper. I don't want to get all psycho babble on you or anything, but he won't be comparing you to the stripper darl, besides I'm sure you look better than her. Most women wouldn't go an stare at naked men just before they get married, it's a guy thing and remember who he is coming home too. It is kinda important that he feels like he has his last horah, hes a man, they all have different things they feel they need to do before they commit and if having a good time with his mates, and whatever they choose to do is it for him then let him.
Veronica,
You poor thing. I would feel exactly the same way. Men don't seem to understand this though. I guess it's the differences between us and them. Men are visual creatures!!!
It's normal for you to be feeling insecure about this. But just rememer, he is marrying you for the beautiful yummy mummy that you are!
At the end of the day, it is you who he is going to love and respect, not some chick getting paid to do whatever in front of a bunch of drunk guys.
And I'm sure all the other wives/girlfriends of the guys going will be feeling the way you do.
And from what I've heard off male friends, most of these girls really aren't that great anyway. Because if they were, they wouldn't have to take their clothes off to make a living!
Hi girls - only have time for super quick reply as busy busy busy day today - doctors app for me, mums group then Tom's 4month check up! Hope everyone is well xx
Veronica - try not to stress too much about Jason's stripper. My DH had one - no, two actually - at his bucks night because thats what the best man wanted, and he was so nervous because although he loves women as much as the next man - i think he was scared what they might do to him. I remember just before he was about to leave for the night, he was like ' i dont want to go'. When the girls turned up, they said ' where is the groom', so he pointed to the guy next to him. They then proceeded to dance around that guy! Two days later, the exact girls were in the newspaper saying they only strip to pay their way thru uni. DH said he found the whole night more funny than sexy, and was quite impressed that the girls actually had cellulite and saggy-ish boobs. Not sure if this helps at all but just thought i would let know
Megan - i am intrested to find out how Lucas is - we have Toms needles on Wednesday night. Poor bugger
Will BBL to catch up with all the other posts! Have a good day everyone
Aww thanks guys.. I feel a little better.. and yes, the other girlfriends are feeling the same as me. Especially one of them cause she has trust issue with her boyfriend.. I know that Jason loves me and I know that he will be coming home to me.. I guess I am insecure about the stripper looking better than me!! I can picture her with blonde hair, blue eyes, perfect huge boobs and a perfect skinny body with a great tan!! HAHA And here I am - flabby with saggy boobs and heaps of stretch marks!! I dont mind there being a stripper there, I was dont want them to dance around him!! Oh well, whatever happens happens I guess, cant stop them cause its his bucks night and I dont want Jason to think that I am some pyscho girlfriend!! I will wish him a great weekend and thats that.. I am planning to get all the girlfriends to go out when they are away, so that will be fun - my first night out in over a year!
