Good morning girls :) Brilliant day for hanging out laundry!
Uh oh, just caught up on reading all the other 'subscribed threads' and Niall wakes...
Ta Rory: ticker piccy is the cropped version, whole photo in gallery, took it on the weekend, would know i had the cold shivers at the time with a head cold! Hence the hoodie... better fetch the boy... I'll get back in here later.
Back: on the desktop pc now... Oooh my ticcy piccy is too red! Amazing how different it looks on the laptop... will have to do something about that.
Wade and Niall fighting over an apple... you'd think it was a famine war...
-
Lovely ticker pic! I agree, great washing weather, Bath. However, the washing won't go out on the line, it will go under the house, just in case I forget to bring it in before the rains!
Went to brekky this morning and then went to drop in on a brigade friend I hadn't seen in ages, who I thought could do with the reminder that he's missed. Glad I did that, he's a good egg!
Oscar is out on the deck yelling out at the dogs and I've blocked off the steps, so he can play in the dog bowls and wander in and out of the house at will.
I'm trying to listen to another lecture, but it occurs to me that I can't really listen properly and post on BB...which sort of puts into practice what we've been learning about attention! Ha! At least I know WHY I'm not taking in much!
Oops, just occurred to me that I have not thought about anything for dinner...better sort that out.
Got booby club tomorrow, might swim in the arvo, or Thur morning.
Mel - goodness, now we're talking school - where does the time go????
OK, better pay more attention to these lectures...pardoning my pun to myself...
PS - Oscar is just as much a booby grabber as a willy grabber when he has the opportunity...absolutely fascinated...double whammy!
-
Bath - i love the new pic too, actually like the full size one better.
Maya - how did the rest of your study go? Thinking about Chelsea going to school is so frightening but exciting at the same time. Where has the time gone, I agree.
Great work day today, got so much done and left feeling like I had done alot and finished alot. Had one meeting today and 2 of Thursday so may not get too much done of Thursday. My GF had her little boy this morning by c/s, Felix Guy born at 8.25am, 8lb 9oz and a week early. Big boy. Going to see her tomorrow night as she is at a hospital 2 secs up the road. Might have to visit more than once to get my baby fix! All these babies around, what is the universe trying to tell me???? Chelsea had a ball at kinder today with pyjama day. She told me about which kids had which pj's on, it was all very exciting to her! DH told me MIL called over this afternoon just before he was leaving to pick up Chelsea. She left and off he went, when he got to kinder he noticed Marley has red marks on her face and thought she might have had a reaction to something! He looked closer and noticed they were in the shape of lips!!!! MIL had kissed her on both cheeks and left lipstick on them. DH was killing himself laughing, and then proceeded to rub it off. At least he is vigilant lol!
Off to bed to read for a while. Night all. :)
-
Congrats to your friend Mel.
Lol Maya I do the same, hehehehe, how are we supposed to learn anything, lol. Naughty girls.
Yeah love the ticker pic Bath, very sweet.
Sorry girls only ben lurking lately posting here and there, I haven't been well, I've been down with this dreaded flu, atleast it has gone thhrough all of us now though, Hopefully this will be the end of all the sickness in this house. It has been lovely wether so the house has been well ventilated to hopefully blow any germy's away. Can't stand being sick and still having to run around after everyone.
Big hugs and hi's girls gunna go do lunch for the masses, lol
Bye
Dee
-
Hope you feel better soon, Dee - I feel better after what I had lately has started to wear off.
Booby Club just finished and Oscar is asleep in the car. Actually, I'm in the car, too. Now that I have a full working laptop, it occurred to me that our Apple Airport works from quite a distance and that I could put things in the house, stuff a croissant with homemade raspberry jam, grab laptop, text book and mobile phone and go back to the car to sit with sleeping Oscar. That way he doesn't wake up upset that no-one's here. It also means that the washing doesn't get put out or brought in, but I'll chuck him in the Ergo again for that if I feel it desperately needs to be done. I can always wait till DP gets back. But I want this kid to have a nice long sleep. He fell asleep just shy of midday, so I don't think I'm pushing it.
Anyway, it's warm in here, out of the wind! As soon as Oscar wakes, I'm going to go back in and toast some of my cheese loaf bread from the bakery - I'm such a sucker for that bread.
Better do what I came in here for, read my text book while the kid snoozes...
-
Good afternoon, another lovely washing day, just as well, wet weekend ahead... I've been using more fabric nappies again while the weather lasts and I can get them dry easily. Thanks for the ticker comments , made it less vivid... oh and I fixed up the date of that photo of DH and I (him looking scruffy, me with plaits) it was actually taken back in 1997!!!! ie a decade ago! Had a laugh at your comments in the gallery Maya :D Yes, he does "scruffy" good ;) I've been trying to talk him into considering a "tree change" and heading back up to the New England region (where all my family are, most on farms)... if the expat idea doesn't pan out. I think it would do us all the world of good.
Jess: sounds like Kate's ceremony went smoothly... have you loaded any piccys onto the member gallery yet?
Mel: LOL you'll know when/if the universe starts telling you to go for another... the shout is deafening... thankfully it's been quiet for me, on the whole, you know when you're family is complete I think... still, it's harder knowing that there won't be any more for me than I thought it would be. I think I will always get clucky, it's just the kind of person I am, and I'm going to love getting to know every new baby that is born to our little group too :)
Better hang another load... BBL
ETA: sorry mised your post Maya.... oooh using 'pute in car sounds great! I can imagine so many scenarios where that could come in very handy... even though i don't drive it would be such a lovely quiet place....
-
Ahhh, Bath, that makes more sense, 10 years ago! I'm glad you spelled out who it was in the pic with you, because the very respectable DH you have now does NOT look like the boheme in that photo! Wow, New England - very pretty...I would then have to do road trips to visit you there...
Mel - did you get to see your friend? Maybe you should be preggers next year with me, too ;)
I just put some music on to keep Oscar asleep longer. I think the silence can wake him up during the day, sometimes!
-
Dee - hope any sickness departs with the breeze! Get better soon.
Maya - how funny sitting in the car with your laptop!!! But if you've got to get work done, what better way to do it lol! That bread sounds delicious, love fresh bread esp the varieties such as olive, cheese etc. Hopefully going to see my friend tonight or tomorrow. Rather go without kids so I can focus on the new bub and chatting to my friend. DH is home tonight and tomorrow so I can pick. You never know, we might be pregnant together??? Still not sure when I would like to be pregnant, if that makes sense. Just know I don't want to be heavily pregnant in summer like I was with Chelsea, didn't cope to well with that. Was starting to resemble the Michelin man! Marley always sleeps with the radio on 24/7 (3AW), and Chelsea did too - maybe thats why both my girls have been such good sleeper, they like talkback radio lol!
Bath - glad you fixed the date, as I was looking at it, thinking is the date right, yeah it must be! A tree change would be great, where is New England (says girl who has lived in Vic her whole life!). Sometimes I get a shout, then a whisper IYKWIM? I change my mind all the time - silly really, I shouldn't think about it so much. I know I'm not done having kids, its weird how you know that - for me its a matter of when. I am a very clucky person too, always have been. I think maybe I might be putting it off because I know its the last?? Psychoanalysing myself.
Made a sticky date pudding which smells divine - got recipe off BB. DH loves it so made it as a surprise, he'll be so stoked! I will have to keep my hands off it till after dinner!
-
Hi all,
sorry i can only come on here wed/fri its really frustrating! computrer still at MIL and today dh was ringing to organise internet connection.
furniture finally arrived last Sat, now it looks more homely and finally i have a lounge to sit on!
yesterday was my birthday & dh made me breakky in bed which was good cause Nixon kept me up half the night and end up brining him in to sleep with us at 5am. Nixon & bub bought me a rusty pair of trackies and hoodie, but dont exactly fit me right now!
DH bought me a 3hr pampering package which i have booked for next monday. Includes a 30min pg massage, $40 worth of waxing a 60min foot treatment and a 60min facial!!
my fam come over in the arvo for cake then mum and dad have Nixon Tues nights so DH and i went to dinner and the movies. we had tepanyaki which was fun and saw "Knocked up" god it was funny! and could relate to so much of it to lol!
DH also invited a few friends and fam over for a bbq on Sunday which i knew nothing about so was a nice afternoon.
havent had much time to catch up on the past few days posts will read back on some of them now, hope your all well
-
Awwww Nic belated Birthday hugs!!! Sorry... I wasn't on here much yesterday...sounds like you had a nice one! Enjoy that pamper package! Good to hear your furniture arrived safely too :)
-
Sorry I missed your birthday, Nic! Sounds like you had an ace time, with nice thoughts from DH :) More than I can say about the thought that DP puts into my birthdays!
Mel - I know what you mean about timing. That's my whole issue. People are saying 'you must be wanting another baby' and I head them off at the pass by telling them the truth, 'gotta finish this course first'. That's why I reckon I could be preggers this time next year (ideally conceiving in March-ish) so that I"m pregnant mostly through cooler weather than last time! LOL, Oscar has grown up with 774 talkback playing in the house constantly!
Better go see about dinner...
-
Happy belated birthday Nickers - sounds like that pamper session will be great :)
Maya and Mel, both getting clucky huh? (nudge nudge wink wink) I gotta say that I think conceiving in March with an aim to having bub in December (which is what I appear to have done?) would be good, because bub will be here before (hoepfully) it gets too hot, but equally there is less risk of having a 38 week pg cold (like I did with Flynn which sucked)
Dee, glad illness seems to be waning.
Bath, my next midwives appointment the the Mercy is in a few weeks - can I drop by your place and get those hints on cloth nappies? I jumped on to the cloth nappies forums and was totally bamoozled on all the different options - I just want someone to give me one solution!!! I mention to DH your comments about it being better to start clothies on a newborn (in that it is harer to get the folds/tightness right on a moving toddler) but he is convinced that he could, as an engineer, work something out ;) So we are keen to try it with Flynn before #2 arrives. I think that sending him to spend $90 on 3 boxes of Huggies kinda brought the issue to the fore for him IYKWIM!!!
Better go, got these damn billable hours to get through. I am in at work today so it shouldn't be much of a hassle but finding the time on my Wednesdays and Fridays "off" to do 6.5 hours in front of the computer (on a task that I hate!) is getting to be almost impossible........
ETA: Don't want to jinx myself, but Flynn has slept from 7.30 to 6am the last FOUR NIGHTS!!!! I don't think I am iron-deficient any more LOL!
-
Well I finally think everyone is now better it has been 3-4 weeks and we all had a really bad case of the flu, with a few secondary infections, DH is the only one still on medicationbut should hopefully be back to his best by the weekend at most.
Our tax check came in this week and I went on a bit of a spending slurge, we got a double pram for Wyatt and Cody and it will last til we have the next, clothes for the boys and I finally had a hair cut after about 8 mths, so I really do feel great now.
We're going up to my mum's next Friday for the weekend and I'm going to see a pshyic (sp) so will let you know what she has to say.
Will go and catch up on the posts I've missed.
hugs xoxo
-
Hi girls BFing Niall ATM really hard as he keeps reaching out and wacking the keyboard with his free arm and even kicking it with his legs. Hiya Amanda, good to hear your troop are feeling better... I'm nagging DH to do our tax too... we have some serious debt to pay... and we want to go on a holiday too... someone asked where the New England region is: it's kinda on the Great Dividing range on the north of NSW, includes Tamworth (the southern bit of New England) and Kootingal/Moonbi, Armidale, Guyra etc... it's high country, often snows, Maya you would love it... a very horsey region.
can't hear myself think with V and W arguing over ice blocks... sheesh!
Rory: yes! drop over... I'll even give you a nappy for you to practise with ;) Um, your DH may get a tad frustrated that he can "see" how the nappy should go on but if Flynn decides to squirm at the crucial moment all will be in vain... there's a way of using your thumbs to kinda hold their legs still that is easier practised on a newborn... but if you're feeling brave you'll save a fortune.

Hi All
sorry i have been neglecting me lovely Junies over the past few weeks but what with the house inspection then the holiday preparation i haven't hardly had any time. Well here we are and it's great. The flights went brilliantly and the boys were both complete angels (well mostly). They are so going to be party animals when they are older as they managed to stay awake until on the plane in Singapore (midnight!!!!!) after only an hour sleep on the previous flight all day! They both slept for 6 hours (as we did) then were awake for a while, the Will had another 2 hours and even though Osc didn't sleep he just sat there so James and i could sleep. I was so proud of them, not many tears - and i didn't even use the brauers calm that i had bought. It's so great to see my parents playing with them 9and spoiling them rotten but hey, why not - it's such a small time they see them). I went over to my best friend's house last night with another close friend and ended up staying there till 12.40pm!!! I'm over the jet lag already and the boys slept from 7pm to 5.45am so they are too - they[ve coped so well with the time difference. Anyway, it was so lovely to see my 2 friends and we are going out and meeting more friends for a big pub session on Friday night so can't wait to see everyone else.
Maya - floods not here thankfully! Oscar snuggling into your neck when upset sounds so cute bless him.
Mel - congrats to your friend - love the name Felix - that was on our list too. Hehehe i thing the #3 maybe starting to request it's presence with you too hehehe - wish our #3 wouldn't take much longer to happen! That was so lovely hear you missed my posts - thanks!
Nic - Happy birthday for yesterday, sounds like you had a great time - i would love to see knocked up and Teppanyaki is great! We went to a fab tepenyaki restuarant in Leeds about 5 years ago and was so impressed with the chefs flinging the food about.
Bath - new picky on sig is gorgeous - will try and check out your gallery too (am seriously limited on pute time as pute in our room as is Will so can't be on it when he sleeps which is my usual time. Probably a good thing so i can spend more time with my rents!)
Amanda - glad you are all better
Dee - hope your flu thing hurries up and buggrs off.
Rory - yay on Flynns sleeping through - won't try and jinx you but hope it's here to stay!
Will has finally started standing by himself - only for a second or 2 but he grins and is very proud so hopefully the walking isn't too far away. 4th person we wanted for godparent is in Japan at mo and won't be back before christening on Sunday so we were so stupid for leaving asking until the last minute - now we have to think of someone else but don't think there is anyone we would want so maybe have to have SIL as godmum to both Osc and Will.
Anyway, i can hear Will crying as he desperately wants a sleep so i better get off the pute.
Hope you are all good and Hi to people i have missed - will hopefully be back here soon
Take care
Julie x

Maya - our babies will be very cultured with what they are listening to lol!!! I think you plan sounds like a good one, I was hoping to hoping for a November baby, just before the hot weather starts and not too close to Christmas - do things ever work out as we plan, who knows??
Rory - good luck with the nappy folding! I will keep everything crossed that Flynn keeps sleeping through for you.
Amanda - glad to hear most of you are feeling better. Well done on the shopping spree, sounds like you got some good stuff. I am still waiting on mine which should be a biggie - had to pay 2 regos so that eats into it a bit, plus need to pay off credit card too (bummer!!!), but will still have some left for a bit of a shopping spree. Can't wait to hear what the psychic says.
Bath - I can see how it would be hard to type and b/f at the same time!! Thanks for letting me know where New England is, thought it might have been in Vic.
Julie - great to hear from you and your boys were so good for you on the flight. That must have made a big difference. Sounds like you are having fun with your GF's, it must be so nice to catch up with them again. It would be so nice if Will starting walking while you are away so your parents can see it. Hope you sort out your godparent dilemma but your idea sounds like a good one. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
Had a busy day a work today, 2 meetings and not much work actually done!! Very frustrating when I am only in 2 days a week and spend too much time at meetings. Worked back till 6pm, then went to visit my GF in hospital and meet little Felix. He is so adorable and has the sweetest little lips that are in a heart shape when there closed. Got to hold him for ages which was great and that new baby smell, just can't get enough of it (clucky, who me??). She is doing really well and up and about after her caesar. She said second time around its not quite so painful. The Clayton Ladies Auxilliary had a stall at work today with heaps of soft toys, so bought Chelsea B1 (Bananas in Pyjamas) and Marley a patchwork teddy all for $4!
Might head to bed to read a book! Night all.
-
Well, he's slept thru 5 nights in a row. Sure he wakes at 5.30-6am, but I am an early riser by preference so it doesn't bother me!
better get to work - have 6.5 billable hours to do today :(
-
Hi All, just poppin through- been having sleeping probelms aain but I am sure that I can see Tori's eye teeth sitting up in her gums. Last night she did sleep from 7:30- 6am but stirred about 3:30 to have her dummy put back in.
Julie- Glad to hear that your flight went well, you must have been so relieved that the boys were well behaved. Did they end up letting you have a bassinet for Will?
Rory- You must be so relieved to have Flynn sleeping well at night, Tori has also always been an early riser, she is up by 6:30 every morning and always has. Good luck with the switch to cloth. We have Tori in cloth nappies about 5 days a week, but we are using the modern cloth ones. I am going to use prefolds and covers for the new baby and hopefully by the time he has grown out of those Tori will be nearly finished with hers.
Mel- What a lovley name Felix is. It must be hard not to be clucky with all these new babies around.
Maya- I hope your studies are going well, I really really miss studying nd might think about picking up some units soon, or going to tafe to get some extra qaulifications. I have decided to become a literacy specialist, so want to get some extra quals in that.
Amanda- Glad to hear that everyone is feeling better at your house. We got our Tax back the other week too, didnt last very long. We also bought a double pram, but I was lucky enough to get the one I wanted second hand from one of the Perth BB girls, so it cost me $350 instead of $750.
Bath- Checked out your pic gallery, you have some wonderful pictures up there. I am really going to have to get my act together and upload some more recent pics.
Nic- Happy Belated Birthday, I hope you had a wonderful day. I hope that you are all settling well into your new home.
I have to tell you about this funny dreame I had last night, I was having a big sleep oer party with the perth BB girls (ah how old are we? 12?) Anyway so there were people strewn all over my house, DH was not in the dream but his bro and gf were (weird) anyway there was a bus stop out the front of the house so the people that couldnt fit in the house were sleeping on a bus parked out the front. I had just gone to sleep when my mobile phone rang, only it wasnt my mobile phone it was 2 pieces of cauliflower and it was Bathsheba on the phone telling me she was out the front, she had some to visit and show me some of her scrapbooking pages of me playing with Niall in the pool. the only prob was I kept eating the bits of cauliflower so I couldnt hear her, and would have to hunt for more. Anyway went out th front to meet her, saw he scrapbooking pages and then she kicked everyone that was sleeping on the bus off and went home. Afterwards I felt really rude for not inviting her in to meet the Perth BB girls.
Weird Ha?
Anyway I had better go and get one with may, looks like another miserable day, and It would have to be wet the day I have about 5 loads of washing to do.
-
Rory- I hope this new sleep pattern of Flynnies sticks for you, sounds promising 5 nights in a row!
In regards to clothies i feel similar to you. I have ben doing a lot of thinking about putting this bub in clothies but there is just too much range and variety every time i look into it i feel really overwhelmed.
so i still havent decided what to do but havent gone and purchased anything as yet.
Amanda- glad to hear everyone is finally on the mend, let us know how the pshyic goes. I have been to 2 in the past 2 years, both told me i would have a girl hmmmmm...... well first one could not pick the sex of Nixon i was only 6w pg when i went. She told me she see flags around him like he will be a travellor etc. DH interpreted that as winning big snowboarding comps overseas LOL.
The next one i went after i had Nixon told me my next bub would be a girl. WRONG! also told my gf that was pg with twins she was having boys and she had identical girls....
im still open to a lot of things they have told me though, actually i will have to listen back to the tapes and remember all that was said.
The first one i had a feeling she may have gotten me and my sisters wires mixed up and i said that at the time, i mean she shouldnt have she was doing the reading for me but we are very similar in looks and a lot of things. I remember she was also pg and she could see the baby arriving 2months earlier then scheduled. well her bub arrived on her EDD it was my bub that was the eager beaver.
Nixon is getting very fast at walking now, almost turning into a run. But he seems to favour one side? always making left turns and leading with his left? Is this unusual?? I know he is still getting the hang of the whole walking thing but he constantly bumps into walls, hallways etc cause he doesnt stay straight.
He also says "wheres Nanny" and Nanny here" gosh he is obsessed with his Nanny's! ts cute though because they were not in his life a lot in the first 12months so making up for lost time.
hi to all hope your all well.
ETA: Ali LOL cracking myself up at your dream hahaha! i always have far out dreams like that, glad to hear im not the only one. whats with the cauliflour LOL!
-
Ali: *twilight zone music* DH and I have been discussing Perth as an option... lots of new banking roles there and a previous boss of his asked him if he wanted a job over there too... I've lived there before and even went as far as looking for rentals but there wasn't much and what there was was sooo expensive :( I was keen on the Inglewood area and even found a good school for Verity. But I don't think it will happen, might as well go for Singapore and only pay 12% income tax if we are going to travel that far. Still I LOL at your dream! :cryinglaugh: That'd be me: kicking everyone off the bus! ha! Very funny!
Cloth nappies: You can't go wrong if you simply buy a set of flat flannels. Your baby won't grow out of them, they last from newborn to 2 yo. And even if you don't use them as nappies they are very good as draw sheets in cradles etc and spew rags. But there's a wealth of info in the nappy threads... you know me, I just like to keep things simple, I've lost touch with the more modern pre-mades... I bought once once but it was $24 (back in 1995) and Verity grew out of it within 3 months :( I think that put me off... but there are people who swear by them... *shrug* :)
-
Ali how funny was that dream I also had a really strange one last night ( always do but this one has stuck with me)
Anyway Kai has been really grumpy lately I cant go anywhere without her and its driving me nuts I hope she is only getting more teeth and not getting sicker she has been unwell for about 3 weeks I am praying it will go soon.
Amanda can't wait to here what the psychic says I love them havn't been to many wouldn't even know where one was up here but remember going to one once when I was 15 I asked if I was going to join the navy as that is what I wanted to do and she told me that I would get in but I wouldn't travel over sea's so I thought to myself that I had just wasted $ 50 as how can you be in the navy but never travel over sea's? well I did join met my DH and got out as its to hard to have two serving members as you cant be on the same ships so I was only in for 18mth and never traveled over seas.
Rory so glad flynn is sleeping for you
Well I have been tring to chase up a builder who told us they would have a design for us by tuesday but never got back to us and then texted DH at 930 last night saying that she had come up with something so I went around to see her and she showed me what she had but when I asked if it would fit on the block she said she hadn't tried yet and as we have very small frountage we cant have a wide house so anyway she said she will email me when she has put the house on the block DH and I cant be botherd with them anymore and have decide to go with the builder who got back to us with in two days and who has the better rep there loss
well Kai has started again so better go and give her more cuddles

Hey ladies,
Just a short message from me as I have Pat asleep on my lap and I have just arrived home from Euroa.
Pat has started to walk places by himself, especially if there is an incentive to do so. Bella has a Drs appt on Monday to see if we can get rid of this stupid cast...I can't find any jumpers to fit over it so she is wearing kate's which are way too big for her.
On the way from Euroa tonight the Tarago started playing up so we were very lucky not to have to walk 17 km home from Springhurst.
Anyway, better get these children into bed and turn the heater on...boy is it cold tonight.
-
Hi all, just popping through quickly to say that I have finally added some recent pics of Tori to my member photo gallery, I cant belive how grown up she is looking now!
-
I added some pics to the bellybelly photo album ...they are old but new ones coming very soon
BTW ladies... Can I ask everyone to send me a huge cyber hug......been feeling down lately. Thanks.
-
 Jess, wassup? Checkin' out your piccys with a hot chocolate soon :)
Just got back from a BB meetup with: Kelly, Cailin, Astrid, Lulu, Fi etc Dinner at Gurhkas on Lygon Street... very yummy food and constant chin wagging... was lovely to meet some long time BB friends :)
-
I don't know Bath, just feeling down. I think I have finally realised that I'm never going to have another little baby, and watching Pat toddle around like a drunken sailor has started to make me feel really old!
Just making some lemonade scones...I know cooking at this time of the night is not good, but I'm hungry.
-
Big hugs Jess :grouphug: I know how you are feeling as I have been the same lately Dh keeps asking me whats wrong and if he has done anything as he thinks I dont love him anymore but thats not it I dont know why I am feeling down just dont feel happy anymore hope it will pass soon.

Tali...the same with my Dh, except he asks why I'm, cheating on him with his best friend! I mean come on his best friend is engaged to my best friend.
-
lol I got the same last night over the phone like I would have the time running around three kids all day at night. I think my DH feels helpless as he is always away so much and the only thing I tell him is that the kids are driving me nuts but its not really them it just me feeling crappy
I have just put some more photos in the gallery
http://lilypie.com/pic/070806/roIN.jpghttp://b2.lilypie.com/HQJOp10/.png

Girls - please don't let your fellas get you to wear their crap :( I know it's hard. You both have got fantastic kids and they think you are awesome!
Got up REALLY late today, cos we got home REALLY early this morning...at 3isham!
Ok, gonna sneak in some reading before the kid wakes up...
-
Maya- My DH is just like this because his best friend would rather talk to me atm instead of him and the fact that I'm not feeling like DTDing atm. Even though he is at home all the time I still don't think he understands how much work I put in looking after the kids...
Enough of my moaning....Can everyone please offer a prayer up to whoever for my best friend Tray whose Grandmother has recently passed away. Even though she has been sick for a long time he still has been a shock about her passing.
-
How sad about your GF's grandmother :(
What does it take for these boys to understand? Maybe never. DP refuses to understand that no matter how 'unproductive' he thinks my day has been, I have made a big output - even if I don't leave the house or do a great deal of housework. Putting out for Oscar, in the form of constant supervision, breastfeeding, keeping his nappy situation as fresh as possible, thinking of what solids to feed him, keeping him entertained...it means that I may not be up for 'putting out' for him! It also means that when I say that I need outside help to get my study done, I mean it. He keeps saying things like "well, you could do it when he's asleep" (so the laundry fairy puts out the washing?), and 'you're making excuses'...well, they may be excuses, but they are also pretty solid reasons for not being able to stay on top of study! Especially if he's going to come home and tidy his shed, leaving me with Oscar AND the expectation of having something planned for dinner. Every time I suggest that I'm not getting as much cooperation as I would like, I get a defensiveness that leaves me feeling that maybe I AM wrong. ANyway, I'm venting!
Dinner IS being cooked for me tonight, I can smell it...we shall see how much 'credit' that buys ;)

Rory - go Flynnie, good boy sleeping through!
Ali - PML about your crazy dream! Had any more weird ones??? Tori is so sweet, esp love the little pigtails!
Nic - I think the crazy walking is pretty normal. Until they get a sense of balance which does take time. Poor thing, crashing into walls!
Bath - 12% tax would be wonderful, any more news on the job front for DH? How was the dinner last night? I was going to go but had to catch up with my brother and his family for his birthday (which was 3 weeks ago!). Would have loved go, sounds like a nice place.
Tali - good idea to give the other builder the flick! If they can't deliver a simple request such as plans, what are they going to be like actually building the house? Hope things pick up for you. It must be very hard looking after 3 kids, making decisions about the house all without the support of your DH. You are doing a great job.
Jess - you shouldn't feel old (your younger than me LOL!) and I hope you start feeling more appreciated. I know I haven't finished having my kids, so I don't know what that must feel like. Hope you GF is coping OK after her grandmothers passing. Try to keep smiling :)
Maya - late night out for you, what did you get up to? PML about having a laundry fairy!!!! Wouldn't we all like one of those. Hope your dinner gave you lots of bonus points LOL!
Well poor Marley has been in the wars today. She has put her tooth through her lip twice today falling over! Poor thing and quite a bit of blood the second time. I think she has actually cut the bit of skin under the top lip above her front teeth as it just kept bleeding. She did one this morning, falling over a toy and tonight she just lost her footing. This walking caper is dangerous! I am sure she will prob wake up with a fat lip tomorrow morning. Went over to my Dads last night to catch up with him and my brothers family came over. My dad has a new house which is 2 storey. Chelsea and her cousin thought it was the best, running up and down the stairs! She told my Dad what a great house he had!!! Did a big house clean this morning, then DH took Chelsea to Bunnings (again!) and another timber place to look for materials for a project he wants to do. She even got her face painted and came home looking like a butterfly. Got my tax cheque back and got a massive surprise, heaps more than I expected with all the family allowance stuff added in. I am so glad I kept our income estimate high even though I was on reduced salary for most of the year. Pays off now. Just need to work out what to do with it all. Got lots of things that need to be done, credit card to pay off, put money aside for xmas????? Decisions, decisions.
Must go, final Grays Anatomy on soon and need to get my coffee ready!

Good afternoon girls.... added this funny pic that a friend of mine sent to me to my gallery:

Made Maya's slice (Oaty Date) on the weekend... going to make a coffee and have a bit now. Hope she ended up going to the Ringwood BB meet... let us know how it went!
Mel: ouch! poor Marley, how is her lip now?
-
Bath - saw that pic, it's hilarious!!! I have a new cake for you, its a very healthy one with no eggs! One of the mums from Chelsea's creche made it for me and I loved it so got the recipe. I made it today as I had a friend over for lunch.
1 cup SR Flour
1/2 cup All Bran
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup of either dates, apricots, sultanas etc or combination of all
1/2 cup milk
1 tbls honey
Mix together, put in small loaf tin and bake till golden on top (180 degrees). Serve warm with a bit of butter. YUMMO!
Was going to go to Ringwood lunch but already had friend coming over, wonder how it went?
So far Marley hasn't had any falls today (touch wood!) and her lip is fine. I was surprised she didn't have a fat lip this morning. Good thing that the mouth heals up so quickly. Time for a coffee and a piece of my cake!

Well not much going on here, we have the Ekka (Brisbane Show) on this week so Kailen has two days off for it Monday and Wednesday and then he has Friday off for the ENT appointment, so he's only going for two days this week. Have a house inspection tomorrow so will have to do a really good clean today.
Slightly funny story, DH was changing some radiator hoses on Saturday and had just fitted them and was filling the water back into the radiator and started it. He always takes it out of gear but he must have forgotten and once he hit the starter it started to roll forward, lol. With the bonnet up he raced to turn it off and he got wedged in between the house and did turn it off, but not before the bonnet hit the wall mounted air con, luckily it didn't rip it out of the wall. So I had to climb in thru the passenger door and slowly reverse and get poor DH unstuck. It cost $150 for a new bonnet and DH wasn't to happy but I had a quite chuckle. We're lucky the boys weren't outside playing as they usually watch DH fixing the car, and poor DH had a case of the "what if's". I said don't worry it obviously happened at that time for that pacific reason. Ahh well all fixed now, lol.
Mel that cake does sound yummy, that's great that Marley didn't end up with a fat lip, I remember when Lockie was little he us to cut the bit of skin near the top two teeth all the time. But it doesn't seem to have affected him.
Back later.
hugs xoxo

Very quiet in here today, thought I would have to read up but only one to read!
Amanda - how fun with the Ekka being on, I hear its lots of fun. Do you normally take all the kids? We took Chelsea to Melb Show once but I think this year she may enjoy it a bit more. Good luck with your house inspection tomorrow, I'm sure you'll "pass" with flying colours. Poor DH, lucky know one was hurt. One of those freaky things that happens. Made that cake recipe again as DH ate the rest of the first one! Thanks for reassuring me that fat lips are par for the course, I am sure she will have plenty more.
Boy was it cold this morning! Driving to work it was only 3 degrees but it did turn out to be a nice day later. I had to go to dentist tonight to get a filling fixed, he did a good job and it didn't hurt at all, just had a bit of a sore jaw afterwards. I am so glad I have health insurance, it only cost me $50 as opposed to $178 if I had no insurance. Got home with the numb mouth and couldn't eat anything till about 8.30pm and I was starving. The girls were very happy to see me and I love getting the cuddles when I get home, esp from Marley as she knows how to cuddle now. She is having such a great time at nana's house which is wonderful.
How is everyone else?

Good morning girls :) Just dropped Wade off at kinder... put Niall down for a nap and am about to cook dinner: saag paneer which is an Indian dish with spinach and fried cubed cheese the kids love it.
Amanda: Hope you are enjoying the show... might take Verity and Wade along to the Melbourne one this year... would be too much for Niall... I think it's my turn this year (DH and I take turns going). Maybe next year we can all go as a family. Hope the nerves have settled after the freak car episode... cars make me nervous at the best of times!
Mel: You would have found it cold again this morning! It was pretty crisp at 8am when I stepped out with the boys; Niall in a sling, Wade holding my hand... it had warmed up by my return journey though... or maybe it was just that my body was warmed up from walking. How cute: Marley's little cuddles :)
Niall hasn't settled with his bottle... better go deal
