Thanks Bath! She was booked it at around 2pm so she thought by 3pm she might have had the baby. Maybe they were a bit behind in the theatre schedule. She has 2 girls (5 and 3) and a boy (20mths). This one is a girl too. They haven't told us names yet. They have a pretty small house too, so the 2 girls have been sharing and the boy has his own room but this baby will have to sleep in their room for a while. They had to get a new car and are thinking of moving to accommodate their growing family. It will be so nice to share my pregnancy with all of you, my theoretical plan is to pregnant in Jan/Feb and have an Oct/Nov bub. Not that anything ever goes to plan lol!!!! I saw the post about Flowerchild, her bub is so small, hope everything is going well for both of them.
PML, Triangle Family! I love it!

Hi all, I am just poking my head in quickly to say hello, had a flat out weekend but got lots of things achieved that I have been wanting to do for ages. I think my nesting instinct has kicked in because I have been getting DH to rearrange furniture, and I have been busily decluttering.
Back to work today, I cant believe how quickly the 2 weeks went, which makes me think that the next 4 weeks will fly by and I will be on Maternity leave.
I will be back later in the week, I hope everyone is well!
-
Hi everyone,
cor, i don't pop in for a while and i miss all the excitement! I'm so pleased for Nic that she has her happy healthy little boy with her now. Hope Flowerchild and Imogen get stronger quickly - how far along was FC? I knew she was pg but can't remember how long and Imogen is tiny, sounds great with the apgars and not being intubated though.
Mel - Happy anniversary - sounds like you had a nice day. Have you heard the name for your friends little girl yet? hope all went well for her.
Jess - how annoying that only one person turned up for you - i'd be fuming. Sorry to hear about your friend. Ouchy for Pat's top lip/nose space!
Bath - lol re triangle family!
Ali - Hope you got everything you wanted too done and that you can slow down soon. Happy nesting!
Jaspen - hugs - read your vent and know exactly where you're coming from. My DH is fab most of the time but there are a few issues that i get knarked at time and time again with and he just doesn't get it. Have been tempted to post myself but just stopped myself, not that you should have, it's better to get it off your chest than just go round and round in pointless arguments and some of the replies were really good so might give you an idea maybe.
Tail - hope those 'friends' aren't just using you for your pool either!
Never got round to finishing my first post off - how slack! I kept meaning to come back and ended up having a quick lurkbut not the time to do a meaningful post! Had a nice week, off to walking group tomorrow - hope i won't scare them this week! Last week i got so peed off with Oscar as he just wouldn't leave the bowl that was put out for dogs alone that was in the cafe that we were at.. i'd been asking him for about 5 minutes nicely to please move away, please don't touch, yukky etc when he bent his head down to drink from it and i ended up shouting NOOOOO so loudly the whole cafe stopped and stared - have to admit it surprised me too as it was so loud and growly it sounded what i would imagine the devil to sound like! Poor Osc stopped pretty sharpish and went back to the play area and i stared into my hot choccy red faced! Had a nice day the next day as one of the walking group girls rang up and asked if i wanted to meet up with her and her two in a park so i couldn't have frightened her! Will had a break from being grumpy after having 3 molars come through for about 3 days and now a 'fang' has started - grrrr! although he's not as bad as with the molars, just a bit sensitive! His words are just amazing, for saying he wasn't saying anything before we went to the UK (Aug 7th) he must have about 30 words and will repeat virtually anything i say to him (better watch myself!) and he was touching eyes, nose, mouth, arms, feet etc when i was asking him where things were last night!
He did the grimmest thing yesterday - he ate a snail!!!! yuk i was nearly sick - i found him with these bright green hands and he was crunching and i managed to get it out of his mouth but not much left! fowl fowl fowl! I got james to clean him up as i was just retching!
Have had a productive cleaning week and am feeling the house and garden are in a good state (hence the guilt-free bb!). A friend /work colleague of James is over in Perth for a few months to work with James and she came over and stayed on saturday night for a bbq and some wine. it was great to see her as i hadn't seen her for 6 years and we always got on well so that was fun. Had quite a bit of wine (for me, now a shandy-light-weight!) so felt a little wooley Sunday morning.
Will stop rambling now, hope alls good with everyone and hello to Rory, Maya (hope you're getting there with your assignments) and Amanda

Well I'm just going to do another me post and feel a tad guilty but I will defineately try to do personals when I get time. We had a productive weekend and got the boys room clean and yesterday we got our room done, I will do the bathroom and Cody's room hopefully today. Lockie woke up on Sunday with a sore near his right ear and we thought nothing of it until later in the day he flashed me his tummy and more spots, I thought oh no, chicken pox. Went to the doctors yesterday and yep it is chicken pox, great. So I've now got him home and have to look at some houses but can't now as I've got no one to look after Lockie.
I had to have a blood test to see if I'm immune to them as we're TTC and I'm due for AF tomorrow, so a little scared about what if I'm not immune? DH has never had chicken pox, so what will this mean for him and trying for a baby? Ah the joy. Plus last week at Bunnings I tripped over one of the trolleys and my foot has been getting sorer, so I can't have and x-ray until AF turns up and if she doesn't I don't know. Ok woe is me is over now, will be back later.
hugs xoxo
-
Oh Amanda - wishing you the best for the chickenpox immunity, and as for the sore foot I am there with you cause I sprained my ankle yesterday - now I look like a pg woman who is struggling rather than a clumsy person with a sore foot, which is not good for my ego
Julie - not the snail!!! I thought rocks were bad enough - YUK!! What do they say, though, about what little boys are made of LOL!
Ali, like me you are counting down huh? The next bit will fly - DH said to me the other day in disbelief "when you finish work will you only have 5 weeks before the kid arrives??"
Mel another Junie bubba soon then?? Look forward to hearing the news early next year ;)
Jess poor little Pat! I bet being the youngest he is a toughie, though?
Tali we had friends with a pool when I was a kid (we had a pool but an above ground one) who used to have the same issue I think. We now have mates with a pool and I am always real conscious of not wanting to invite myself over for a swim cause I don't want them to feel taken advantage of :(
Jaspen glad things have coole3d - it hit 27 in Melbourne yesterday and I found it unbearable - I guess that's why they say not to have bubs in summer!
better go - 8 days of work left and lots to do (well, only 7 if you don't count today heh heh heh!)
-
Rory - you never count the day you are on so only 7 to go yeh!!!!!! I can only imagine how painful third trimester in heat would be - as much as I would have liked to have been pregnant back in February when I had a chemical pregnancy I'm sort of glad I wasn't with respect to being heavily pregnant at this time of year up here. Hope it stays a bit cooler for a little while longer for you.
Amanda - after such a good start to the weekend agh!!! hope everything is ok wrt to immunity and hopefully your DH doesnt get it.
Jess - it must be the time for bumping heads and splitting lips etc- last Tuesday both by boys did it although a friend of ours little boy did way worse than mine and smashed all his teeth in on one side. Hope Pats face is improving and not too many more bumps
Julie - agh!!! for the snail!! wow at Wills speech - Sams main word is a high pitched screech!LOL although teddy and uu pbp!!
-
Good afternoon girls :) Had PlayGroup this morning. need to settle Niall down for a nap soon but he's happily feeding himself yogurt ATM...
Jaspen: yep, Niall's speech hasn't really come together yet either though at least he doesn't screech. Wade was my screecher: if you've ever read Harry Potter he screeches like a Mandrake (those plants that needed to be repotted and the roots looked like gnarled babies who screeched so painfully that it could kill you). Wade still does it when in immense pain... Niall's voice is lower than Wade's at the same age... interesting. Oh and Niall still callls me "dadda" :(
Niall's just come over for a feed... reducing me to peck typing... will have to come back later... will go and read until I put him down in bed.

Hi girls. My GF had her little girl last night (she was also due on 25/10 like Nic, freaky!!!), they called her Elise Jessica, 6lb 9oz. She is recovering well from her c/s but she thought it might be the drugs. Wonder how she is feeling today.
Julie - your posts really crack me up! You crazy she devil lol!!!! Well at least you didn't scare off the mum that invited you out. I have been known to yell sometimes too. PML about the snails!!! How yuk, I can understand the retching. My GF's DD was eating sultanas outside on her deck, but later she was in the corner eating what my GF thought were sultanas, but it was possum poo!!! No more eating sultanas outside! Will is being very clever. It is amazing how much they actually understand.
Ali - enjoy your nesting, make sure you get DH to do all the work!
Amanda - don't feel guilty, you have so much going on at the moment, you poor thing! Chicken pox is not nice, Chelsea had it when she was 2.5 and she had to stay inside for 2 weeks, she drove me crazy. I hope you guys don't get it, its not good for adults to get. And having to move, that sucks! You must have lots of stuff to move. Thinking of you and try to stay positive.
Rory - how did you sprain your ankle? Down to single digits, the countdown is on. Hopefully my plans do work out, I like to think I can plan these things LOL!
Jaspen - it would be very hard to be pregnant in the Nth Qld heat. Have you always lived up that way?
Bath - Wade and Marley have something in common. She is a major screecher, I love the Mandrake comparision. Have you seen them in the movie, they are horrible. I usually call Marley my banshee! I still really don't get "mumma" or "dadda", just lots of mumble lol!
Work today, they had Bollywood dancing in the cafe today, it wasn't very exciting. Delicious lunch though, I had Thai fish cakes with rice and sweet chilli. It was really good (then snuck in a donut for atea!!!).
I saw Rory's post about our missing Junies and it doesn't look like any replies yet. Does anyone have their emails? Hope everything is OK with Donna, she had some testing with her bub but I didn't hear what happened.
Maya - how are things going for you. Its been so long, where are you? Busy studying and becoming a Tupperware tycoon lol! Just wanted to let you know that I miss your posts.
I sent a txt to Nic yesterday and she replied last night to say that Tyron is starting to feed better and that Nixon hasn't quite worked out what is going on yet. Great to hear that they are doing well.
-
Amanda – yay on the productive week, nay on Lockies’ chicken pox! Hope no one else gets it – especially you and DH – it’s nasty in adults – I had it for my 20th birthday and was so ill. Hope your foot gets better soon. Hope AF doesn’t turn up for you today although maybe with everything going on maybe it wold be better if she did then went away next month!
Jaspen – I had Oscar at the end of the November in Townsville and I was like a lobster for about 2 months in that heat – not good!
Mel – ah, that’s a nice name your friend has picked. Glad you heard from Nic – sounds like it’s going quite well. Yuk on the sultanas turning out to be possum poo! Yep, I’m pleased with Will finally picking up something fast (as in speech not snails, blurrgh!) as he’s been very slow with virtually every other milestone but not complaining bless him. And thinking back it was nice that he could only sit for ages and couldn’t crawl off – now he’s finally walking he follows me everywhere – low betide me if I attempt to shut the loo door to have any privacy! Yum yum for the thai fish cakes with sweet chilli mmmmmm!
Went to walking group this morning and the actual walk was nice but the play bit after was just not relxing. Where we sit next to a fenced in park, is in the shade of the trees but there was lots of glass between the roots, plus a cycleway is very close and just the other side of that is the river so I have to watch the kids constantly and osc was just such a pita! Would he play in the park or the big expanse of grass? No he just wanted to play in the roots and run across the cycleway to the river! I just felt I was shouting for him to come back, stop that, leave that constantly and felt really drained at the end of it. It didn’t really help that some of the other mums didn’t seem to mind their kids playing around the trees even though their was clearly glass everywhere so osc doesn’t understand why he can’t play there when other kids were which is fair enough to him. Was glad to get them to sleep when we got home after some sarnies!
Hope you are all having a nice day

Hi all ahd a friend over today and she had her three mth old with her so sad that they really dont stay babies for long do they, her baba is already acting like she has teeth on the way as she is drooling and chewing her hands all the time. Plus she had to start her on food already as she was such a hungry baby and now that baba is on food she is sleeping throught the night. which is great for my friend as her last baby didnt sleep through until 3.5yrs and still wets the bed almost every night and he is now 7yrs.
Julie- how horid eating a snail but then again at about the same age I found DS in his room painting the room with his pooie nappy that too made me gag but as DH was awya yet again I had to clean him and the room up myself. I cant believe william is talking I dont think kai is saying any words atm she does do a lot of pointing and yelling but thats it, but then again may talks enough for the two of them dont know if I will cope when they are both talking. Shame about the park at the end of the walk hate it when you cant relax just make the whole thing not enjoyable, shame the other mums didnt pick up that you didnt want your boys over by the trees and didnt call there kids in.
Amanda - good luck with the chicken pox hope your bloods come back ok. Its the worse thing about ttc the not knowing for a while as I too feel like you have to extra careful just incase sending you some sticky vibes:stickyvibesgirl: for tommorrow.
Rory it is hard when you have a warm day and pg I had DD1 on the 2nd of may so had to have the 3rd trimester in the peek of the wet so very hot and very sticky, kai wasn't much better as she was the wet in darwin and it doesnt cool down there until may and thats when we move over here and I was already as big as I was going to get which was HUGE.
Rory and ali - cant believe you too are next to have babies time has just gone by way too fast this year...
well hello to everyone else I have missed have to go and put my lot too bed YIPPY !!!!!
-
congrats on 500 posts Julie
anyway realised my earlier post finished mid replies hopefully will get back later or tomorrow for more replies

I'm off in about an hour to go to a funeral in Euroa. Its going to be huge! The family is spread throughout Australia, so there should be a couple of hundred at the church to farewell this grand old lady.
Has anyone else got cling wrap baby atm? Pat doesn't want me to be out of his eyesight atm and its driving me crazy!
DH has been up all night due to asthma so he's off to the doctors, hopefully after he sees them he should be right, he has to work on Friday and because he has just started he can't really ask for sick leave!
Better go and sort things out here! Ciao
-
Jess, sounds like it will be a lovely funeral with all those people there :)
Been dropping in quickly to read whenever I get my email notification. Not much done on the assignment front, but I have booked flights to London, just have to confirm with money now so that I can then book the connecting flights to Dublin. Also have to work out itinerary fairly quickly so that I can work out who to contact to stay with and also just to visit, but also to work out when we need a car. And I have to do this between writing a major assignment?? ARGHHH!!!
gotta go again...
-
hello ladies, quiet in here!
Had a lovely day yesterday at the park with a walking group friend and my kids were angels for a change. Didn't sllep last night as builders told us yesterday that our house should be ready before Christmas!!!! So i'm in a panic about everything that needs to get done and just lay there all night thinking about it - grrrr!
Went to story time at the library today and the kids were pretty good and they even did a joint painting at the end which was very cute - and not much paint on any of us either - very impressed! Just got back from a lovely meal out with a friend from playgroup and i'm tired so should go to bed but have a huge belly full of pasta so have a sneaky feeling the sleep thing isn't going to happen that quick tonight either!
nighty nighty
Julie x
-
sounds like you had a very enjoyable day Julie. A full belly puts me to sleep usually (unless its so full that I'm regretting taking those last few mouthfuls for fear of exploding).
Maya - good luck with the OS planning. My theory on OS is you may as well try and do everything physically and financially possible whilst in the area as you never know if or when you are going to make it back there.
it has been very quiet - I have three sick males in my house - needless to say I'm stuffed!!!! and they always get sick when we've got packing to do or we're going away. Just as I thought I was getting on top of everything at the start of the week its all fallen apart and I'm back at square one - back on the merrygo round I get.
Amanda - how is Lochie??? and you?? and DH???
Hi to everyone else
Nic will probably be heading home today if not already - that's going to be so amazing for her heading out the door of the hospital with her baby at the same time.
anyway won't be around for the weekend so if there's no chatting today I'll catch everyone next week - have a good weekend.
-
Julie - whats privacy in the loo lol!!! It never happens around here. How exciting getting to move before Xmas. Such a big job but will be lovely to spend xmas in your new house. How sweet that the kids got to paint together, I haven't rustled up the courage to let both my girls lose with the paints.
Jess - hope the funeral went well. Marley went through a super clingy phase a while ago and thankfully that has stopped now. How is DH's asthma?
Maya - how fun planning a trip OS. When are you going? How are the assignments going?
Jaspen - 3 sick males! You poor thing, 1 is bad enough!!!
Amanda - how is everything?
Busy few days for me. Work yesterday was very busy then I went to visit my GF in hospital. Her little girl is so tiny. Got to have my cuddles which was lovely and she has recovered so well from the c/s. Chelsea has swimming in her new class this morning and no other kids turned up so it was just Chelsea! She struggled a bit as it is more advanced and she has such a lack of concentration some times. She was too busy watching what other classes were doing or fixing her goggles to listen to her new teacher. I think she was testing her a bit too. Teacher said they will just have to work hard with her and she is sure she will pick up once she gets used to the new class. Marley had a great time at the creche, she loves the tea set and is always playing with it at the table. Gives me great reassurance when she actually starts proper creche next year. Chelsea had another day at school yesterday where they did sport, which she really loved. She wasn't as nervous this time. Better go and make some lunch and work out what I am going to make for dinner as my brother is coming over - might make souvalaki's or tacos?
-
It has been very quite here just running around doing mum things.
Went to swim class with may yesterday she is doing well but kai was playing up abit but the teacher was really nice about it and told me that next week I can bring my swimmers and kai's and I can take her in the pool while may is having the lesson so I will try that next week and hopefully kai will be much happier in the pool.
well this morning while I was doing may's hair for playgroup kai got hold of my mobil and decide that it needed a swim in the toilet, so now its not working thankfully I hadn't gotten rid of my old one so just swaped the sim and now have to take the other one back.
Well at playgroup today it was like a run to leave without having to pack up it was only 11am and a few girls ( the same one who normal dont leave until the much later ) decide that they were going to go and as they are sick of always been left with the cleaning so they just gathered there kids and left which is fine but that still left me to do most of the cleaning again as I felt to bad just leaving to others so once again there were only three left to clean. I know like DH keeps telling me I should just stop going but may really likes it and now kai is also starting to play and if we are going to leave I cant be bothered making new friend all over again as I always find that really hard.
Mel my vote goes for souvalaki's yum maybe I will just fly down to your house for dinner tonight I still dont know what I'm going to give my kids.
Well tommorrow we are going to sizzler ( yes they still have one up here ) for mils birthday lunch, not really looking forward to it as I dont get a long with mil or sil and as DH is going to be away I will have to deal with it by myself plus we are ment to be going there for lunch so they ( mil and sil ) have decide that 1.30 pm would be the best time so there wont be any lunch time rush, come on what a cr@p time as now I will have to feed my kid lunch at 12 still and then pay for them to have a lunch that I know they wont eat apart from soft drink and ice cream. The only good thing is that hopefully kai would have had her day nap and woken up happy as if not then it will be on for young and old. arrrrrrrrrg they make me so mad :angry:DH thinks it funny because he wont be there haha NOT.
well I will let you know how it goes with mil and sil.
well hope everyone is well
study hard maya
welcome home Nic if you are comming home this weekend
jaspen have you got any of this rain today as it been quite wet here but then again cairns aways is..
-
Hi everyone,
just a quicky to let you know we arrived home safely thismorning.
Tyron is well, he went straight to sleep in his bassinett and keep checking on him waiting for him to wake for a feed!
I will update more over the coming days just getting some things unpacked etc but we have been having extreme feeding difficulties with little Tyron, he basically refuses my breast, i have had 3 Lac consultants, speech therapists, been on the phone to ABA consultants, nothing is seeming to be working. Im not ready to give up yet but know its going to be extremley difficult at home with nixon aswell.
Anyway i hope you are all well, i will try and catch up in the next few days and add some pics, DH has just gone to get Nix from my sisters and bring him back home so we'll be a family of 4 for the first time at home soon!
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes and congratulations
Nic
xoxo

Nic, you've been through more trying times before, so you'll pull through and get to the other side :) You know where to find your cheersquad, too!
Trying to get Oscar to sleep here, cos I'm sure he needs a second sleep.
We've been swimming, where he was the star pupil...again! He's just a step ahead of the lesson plans - today we 'learned' about getting into the pool facing out, then turning around the face the water and going under water. We turn them around under water, keep them deep and move them towards the nearest step. Then you let go and they stand up by themselves (cos we do stuff in the toddler pool, too, to teach them how to right themselves when they can touch the bottom - essentially, you train their response by pushing down on their bum/hips, which brings their knees under them to push them up again, try it next time if you don't already do it!). Anyway, Oscar was already throwing himself in after turning around, just not swimming back to a step he can reach the air from because the pool we use during the week has an entry like a beach, or else there's the edge with the drop, no steps. So, we demonstrated to the class in the end! Also, last night we went for a swim with DP and whilst I was doing 'back tips' (stand kid on edge of pool facing out, bring them down - not lifting in - as if they have fallen backwards, flip them underwater onto belly, once they are kicking bring them to the wall, keeping them deep, so that they can climb the wall with their hands to get to the edge) a lady who had been cooing at Oscar dropped her jaw and said "what on earth are you doing?". I just told her I was practicing, so that she wouldn't run off to a lifeguard! Very funny - Oscar comes up smiling each time, so I guess that stayed an emergency response!
Today I stopped by a garage sale and picked up a rocker toy and a carseat (for MIL), both in good nick. Then, on my way to my parents I stopped at a house that had some bookcases and kids equipment out the front for sale. Turns out that it's my former Year 9 maths teacher! I bought her slide and climbing thingy, so for $52 I have outside play stuff for Oscar :)
Tali - how did you go with Sizzler and your SIL and MIL? Just think, when you're down here again, you won't have to worry about that because 1. they won't see you as often and 2. there is no Sizzler!
Jess - Oscar is still barnacle-baby, if that helps!
Mel - bad influence...instead of ordering a fish with my chips after swimming...I had to have a souvlaki, now I remember where the seed was planted! Hope you had a nice dinner!
Jaspen - great to see you back this week :)
Assignment not done yet, but the material is making more sense, slowly...
Better go make a better effort to get the kid to sleep.
31 degrees tomorrow, wow - sure could use some more rain :(
-
Wow maya they seem like they are a really good swim school I have never been told to swim the kids like you just said and I have been to alot of different schools around australia. All the swim schools I have been to just sing the songs do monkey monkey on the edge and let them step in the the pool of the side and turn them so that they face the wall and can get out again. well goes to show you how different some schools are. I'm not going to start kai in swim school until next year that way the other 2 will be at school.
Hi Nic welcome home hope Tyron gets the hang of the breast soon I too had heaps of problems feeding both my girls could only feed them until they were 4mth even that was probly to long as they both were under weight and " failing to strive" isnt that a horible saying it was almost like DS had such a over supply he used it all up plus he was a very big baby and ate allllllll the time LOL, but I sure that you will get there in the end. But remember that FF isn't the devil sorry I know there are alot of breast is best girls around and I too think if you can feed and you and baby are doing well then go for it I too loved to feed my kids but when you cant people sometimes look down apone you like you didnt try. So if it isnt work dont kick yourself over it.
Well we came back from sizzlers it real is horible food, anyway when we got there sil, mil and mils friend were waiting and mil introduced us to her friend and when she said this is Zayden ( who is 7) her friend said I have seen photos of you but you were much much younger in thoses ( she only has 2 phots of zay when he was about 2yrs and has none of the girls) anyway then the kid gave her, her gift and she said to them do I get a hug zayden gave her one but both the girls ran and hid behind my legs you could tell she was not happy but what can you do the she doesnt like the girl ( because they look like me) and I think they know it so sil and mil sat together with sil's kids and I sat at the other end with my kid and mils friends sat never me, I like always didnt really sat anything as when ever I am never then I get quite sad and feel really lonly mil did try to talk to me as she had friends there and had to look good infront of them. Sil just sat there talking to mil and using sly remarks about " the last time they all went out " which is all the time big deal I would hate to have to hang around them all the time. Cant wait until we get to tell them we are moving. I hope DH starts looking sooner rather than later.
sorry for the winge but like I said they make me MAD.
enjoy the warm weather in melbourne and hope it brings a storm in to.
my sister just rang me to say that she is getting married she sent me a photo of the ring its to die for so jelous ( not that I dont love my ring ) so happy for her this means there will be two of my sisters getting married in 2009 just another reason to move I guess LOL
-
Tali - sounds like a horrible lunch! Sizzler is pretty bad and made even worse by bad company. You did well though to make it all the way through. Don't you just hate rude families. Hopefully you won't have to do it again if you come to Melb! Congrats to your sister, 2 weddings, how exciting!
Nic - happy homecoming! Maya is right, your support crew is right here if you need it. I am sure you will work through all this and have it sorted out soon. Glad to hear Tyron likes his bassinet. How is Nixon coping with his new brother? Enjoy your first night as a lovely family of 4.
Maya - Oscar might be our next Ian Thorpe! Thats great that he enjoys it so much and he'll be swimming on his own soon. You are such a good bargain hunter! My girls love having swings and a slide in the backyard and means I don't always have to take them out to the park, they have their own park right at home! Sorry about the souvalaki vibes, but I bet it was worth it lol! Glad to hear the assignment is coming along.
Well I did have souvalaki on Friday night and they were delicious and reasonably healthy!
My poor little munchkin got her head stuck on the decking rails yesterday, she must have just turned and got herself wedged! She was screaming and pulling trying to get herself out, I screamed for DH who was out the front. He is always so cool in bad situations, thankfully as I was starting to panic. He gently turned her and her head came out. Poor thing was crying and very distraught. I cuddled her for a while, then she came good and wanted to get down and play with Chelsea. She came out of Chelsea's room about 15 mins later and I had to look twice. She was so swollen, in between her eyebrows was all puffy, her nose and she had taken some skin off her right eye near the brow. She had really red marks where the wood was. Thankfully she was happy enough and was making us all laugh at the dinner table. This morning the swelling had gone down but the red marks are still there. I have been rubbing cream on them and it doesn't appear to be hurting her. The kids spent most of the day yesterday in the yard, it was a beautiful day. Today we had Chelsea's dancing then a party. I took one of Chelsea's friends back to our place after the party and they played outside all afternoon. I took some great photos of the kids, I have put them on my homepage under "kids October 07". I can't resize any of my photos, so I can't use the gallery until I get some new software (real PITA!).
31 tomorrow for us Melb girls! Yeah!!! Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday! :)
-
mel I hope Marley is doing better today how do kids get themselves into these situations, she has more than likey done it before but her head must of been smaller poor thing just dont realise that they are growing. Seams like all our junies are a bit accdent prone lets hope they all grow out of that.
31 degs at this time of year it sure going to be a hot summer this year I know one of my sisters ( who hate the heat ) will be melting today but if they had any sence at all they will all go down to mum and dads and have a swim at the beach and a free dinner as that is what I would do if I was there. I always loved this time of year just the smell of summer comming with these warm days I loved waking up and steping out side and feeling the warmth on my skin, as you only get that in summer and as you have a real winter you can really enjoy the hot days while they last.
well better get going need to change a nappy plus DS brought his fav mag yesterday better homes and gardens ( yes DH is getting a bit conserned LOL ) anyway there is some nice christmas craft that we might be able to make together, so I want to go to spotlight and get supplys.
have a great day will more than likely be back on later.
-
Well we have our local Ag show here today, so might head down there later on. The kids have some of their school work displayed in the show today. It's funny but usually it rains on show day however I don't think that is going to happen. Now just have to convince Dh to come down.
Jack played cricket for the first time yesterday, he fielded for a while and the had a bowl. He said he bowled for three overs and got hit all over the ground. He also had a bat and made not out for 0...pretty good effort for a kid with ASD.
-
Thanks girls!
yes as horrible as it is part of the time when i get upset is the thought of having to explain myself to people if they ask why he is on the bottle. I am doing lots of expressing at the moment and if all else fails Tyron will continue to get EBM for as long as i can cope doing it.
Not that i ever through bf would be easy but after being what we went through with Nixon and his feeding and managed to bf for almost 9months i never imagined that my ft healthy bub would have these difficulties.
We've honestly gone through all scenarios and nothing seems to be working, TBH i think he is just a lazy boy, he doesnt want to have to do any work what so ever to get his feed, just wants it to flow straight into his mouth.
Im hoping over the coming weeks he will start to get the knack of it, i try each feed but then have the ebm ready when unsucsessful.
Nixon is coping really well he's such a little character, i missed him lots in hospital so its great to be home, but because of having a c/s i cannot carry or lift him which is a challenge in itself. DH has 2 weeks off but have no idea how im not suppose to lift him in and out of bed/ high chair etc for a further 3 weeks........
Its gonna be a hot one here today also, we have air con in the lounge room but doesnt travel well to the rest fo the house so keeping all the blinds shut to hopefully keep some heat out
-
Nic - you just cross your bridges when you come to them :) that goes for feeding and lifting. Knowing you, with the feeding, you will persist and persist until you make the judgement that you have more to lose by persisting. It's early days yet, as you know, and I think you'll know when the time to make that call will be, when you get to it. And have I taught you nothing? Bath has taught me the 'This too shall pass', and I know that my saying isn't nearly so poetic, and if you get to a point where you are bottle feeding (even if it's EBM!), can you practice saying "Bite me"? Maybe even practice WITH EBM, just to get practicing ;) LOL!
This little baby has to learn to feed - he's had a bit of interruption on the way to your boob, what with surgeons, anaesthetics, disinfectants etc - it all impacts on success of breastfeeding, so that you may have to work a little harder to get there. Hey, I had none of those and our feeds became pinch-free after 6 weeks!
All I'm saying is that after what you have done with Nix, you will know when you've turned a corner and headed towards breakthrough, or you will know when enough is enough
Just enjoy the bits that ARE enjoyable, because wishing away the time until the feeding is better also wishes away a lot of other things that go with that time. I know you're not wishing away the time - I'm just reminding you for when doing that seems like an attractive pastime!
Have a great Sunday all!
PS Oscar had a high temp last night and threw up :( I think this is a quick passing thing, though, that comes with a cough - MIL and my niece have had it this week...
-
Tali - little Miss M is much better, just has red marks over her face! Today is very warm, they changed the forecast to 33 yesterday and it does feel that hot. It was nice to wake up with the sun this morning. PML about DS and his Better Homes & Gardens mag!! Its Chelsea's fav show and she always begs me to let her stay up and watch Fast Ed and Karen (the two cooking segments!). Maybe if you come to Melb, they can compare notes lol!!
Nic - you have 2 beautiful boys! The photos are gorgeous, esp love the bath photo. DH looks like a very proud dad. Nixon looks like he is loving being a big brother. I can't believe people are still so judgemental! You shouldn't have to explain anything to anyone, so tell them to mind their own business! You'll do whatever you need to do to keep Tyron happy (and you sane!). It will be tricky not to lift etc, but make sure you get DH to do it all for you while he's home for the 2 weeks. Hope you've managed to stay cool today, its a hot one in Melb too!
Maya - how is Oscar today, hopefully no more throwing up.
It is pretty hot today, but loving it! DH has worked all weekend, so took the girls to the shops this morning, got lunch and came home. Most of my washing has dried and the house is clean. I have a birthday dinner to go to tonight, so need to think of something for dinner for DH and the girls. Wish Marley would eat salad! Better go peruse the fridge for some inspiration.
-
Kai has just said her first clear words " Lets go " I guess I must say it alot taking zay to school and getting ready to do anything really. sounds so cute!
Well we went to spotlight and got stuff so I can make little teddys and stars for our christmas tree I hope they look ok the kid will be sticking stuff onto the stars so that will be good but May loves glue so i hope she doesnt go to mad. I have finsh one teddy already so I will have to take a photo and put it in the gallery. The kids dont seem to get that it will take me a while to make them before they can use them as I dont have a sewing machine and have to do it all by hand.
I hope you all got to cool down somewhere today it has been very mild up here I guess we must have sent all the heat down sth.
No school here tommorrow it seems like they are always having some sort of day off but DS really happy as he wants to stay up to watch bingo on tv I laughed at him and asked if he really was my 7yr old boy after all or is he really a old man traped in a kids body. but if he is good he can stay up as when may is in bed he is good to talk too and keeps me company.
Mel - Zayden would love someone close to his age to compare Better homes and gardens with at the moment he knows one of the mums from playgroup watchs it and it the first thing he does if he see's her as he knows that she will talk to him about it. He has told me that he want to be a gardener on TV when he gets older. I hope that when we move that I can find a place with a desent back yard so that he can have his own garden as he want to grow lots of fruit trees and a vege patch. I hope he is taking good notes on the shows as I am hopeless in the garden.
-
Oh Tali you are organised getting started on Chrissy decorations! I can't wait to get my tree out this year.
Mel hope your birthday dinner goes well! Funny about the salad eating - at what age do kids tend to "get" salads, BTW, cause I was thinking the same about Flynn today.
Maya how is Oscar :( Hope he is gettign better.
Nic wishing you all the best :hugs:
Jess it must have been a stinking hot day up your way - did you get the cool change in the arvo?
Howdy Jaspen, Julie and Bath
We had a nice day at home today - friends came over with their 7 month old girl and we had wood fired pizzas (cooked to perfection by DH - he even made the bases!!) and a nice load of ice cream and peaches for dinner. Now to get ready for work tomorrow - ah well, only 6 days left!!
-
We haven't had any cool change rory, still stinking hot here!
Took the kids to the show today and it was blistering.
-
Nic you are a great mum and you are doing what is best for your family always remember that, anyone that has anything negative to say obviously doesn't know you the way we do. If you have to express to feed Tyron then so be it. Lockie was my lazy feeder, he did the same wanted the bottle now and would drink it all very quickly. Try not to worry your boys will grow to be strong men no matter what and they will have a wonderful mum that has help get them there.
Mel glad to hear that Marleys face is alright except the red marks, it's always scarey when you see them stuck or hurt somewhere.
Jess glad that the rain stayed away for the Ag show, and I'm glad Jack enjoyed playing his first game of cricket.
Hello everyone else, I hope all is well.
Well my foot isn't broken so that's the good news, but it's still heaps sore. AF turned up so not pg, but that's alright as well. We looked at a house yesterday and it was really nice, except it doesn't have ceiling fans or a/c and the house apparently get pretty hot, but the rooms were heaps bigger then the ones we have now, so we put in a application and hopefully will hear back this week. Better go as I'm bushed from packing, we got the kitchen done, except the essentials (13 boxes later).
hugs xoxo
-
thanks girls! well even though i couldnt say Tyron has received much milk suck on my breast the last 2 days he has atleast had a few goes. this is a big improvement from a few days before where he wouldnt even go near them! so persistance and patience! a lovely lady from ABA rang last night to check up and just encourage me too, its nice to know ppl care like you guys do. I plan to go back to the hosp and see the Lac ladies that have been helping me, they have clinic on Mon and wed, but will have to get dropped off and picked up, hope to go on wednesday
Maya- how is Oscar today? hope his temp has gone down
Tali- oh thats so cute "Lets go" hehe
amanda- oh glad your foot isnt broken, sorry about AF showing up though bugger. Fingers crossed on the house, let us know how you go. i feel you on the packing thing!
-
Good morning girls :) Busy weekend. Took my second Sunday School class yesterday LOL I never thought I'd be doing that but when I was asked I saw a good opportunity for some resume content! At least when I apply for my Dip Ed it will show that I've been doing something.
Nic: Can I start work on your avatar update? Just send me a PM. Would you like the same background or a summery one? I can't add any more than the girls have regarding your feeding of Tyron; it sounds like you are getting some excellent support too... and don't worry about what people will say... pffft... you can't change people you can only change how you react to them ;) ... just keep being the good mum that you are
Can't keep up with personals but "hi" to everyone. Both boys hate me being on BB these days :( Wade stands beside me demanding to play computer games and Niall usually cracks it or starts playing with the tower on/off button and yanking at my mouse hand... oh and Verity lectures me too saying that I spend too much time in here... then she goes into her room and spends time on her 'pute without the interruptions that I have to deal with. If I was to go stand at the sink I wouldn't get half as many interruptions!
Buuut it's a lovely cool day outside... better check the BOM to make sure it's safe to hang out washing....
-
hey everyone - no time to chat as flat strap!!!! just thought I'd drop in and say hi to all on my way through to the luandry to unload the washing that probably finished ages ago while I was out - ug!!!
-
Still hot as here, not as astinking as yesterday but still hot.
Got the fright of my life this morning about 10.30, was heading around to mum's to pick up some salad stuff, when in front of me was a 4ft king brown snake crossing the road!!!!!!!!!
To say I was scared is an understatement. It was heading towards someones dogs, so the police officer on duty, kindly disposed of it for us! So scary it had come out of the vineyard behind us and was looking for water, so the kids can only go outside now if there is an adult with them!
-
Jess how scary I dont think I would know know what to do if I found a snake! I would have more than likely just stand there and screemed until someone came out to have a look. LOL I'm not to good with things like that.
Well Dh will be home again tommorrow so I will be a bit quite again for a week. we are taking the kids camping to ellis beach this weekend as if we dont do it this weekend then the stinger nets will be out so there will be no more beach swimming for us. there is only a short time that we can swim at the beach up here as in the dry the water is too cold so you have to wait until oct so the water can warm up, and the stingers aren't out yet ( we hope ) as in nov the nets come out and I dont let the kids swim in the net. they put nets out so that it is safe to swim but I always think if you have a net that is 3mtrs wide and jelly fish have tentles that are up to 1mtr long then you only have a small part of the net to swim in safely and who can keep their kids that still just not worth it, and as irigange ( dont know how to spell it ) are the size of a thumb nail they can get through the net anyway.
Well for some silly reason I thought I would become crafty so over the weekend I made 4 little teddys for the christmas tree, and as they turned out to be easy to make I thought to myself how hard would it be to make a patch work christmas dress for the girls ( with out a pattern ) so of I have gone to the shops and gotten some stuff and have borrowed my friend sewing machine ( I havent used one sence I was 15 ) which she doesnt know how to use as she has never used it. So now I have all the stuff I need to make the dress apart from the know how so I will keep you up dated on my efforts to be a Mather Stewart mum.
-
Tali - thats awesome that Kai is saying her first words! You are turning into Martha Stewart lol!! Spotlight had a big sale here last night, 20% off everything. Did they have the sale up there? The teddy's sound very cute and I hope the dresses turn out, you are doing very well doing it without a pattern. Don't forget to take pics! I have a sewing machine but an pretty hopeless at sewing - its one skill I wish I had with the amount of money I spend on kids clothes! I think its gorgeous that Zayden loves gardening. He will love having a vegie garden of his own. He can grow the vegies and Cheslea can cook them lol!
Nic - sounds like you have some wonderful support and resources around you and its brilliant you are using them. You are doing everything you can and you deserve a big pat on the back for that. You are a good mummy!
Bath - how exciting taking Sunday School, should we call you Mrs Bathsheba! Its hard trying to spend time on the computer with the kids awake. I try to do it when Marley is asleep and Chelsea is doing something else but sometimes she comes and asks me if I am finished yet! Hope you find some time to "sneak" on.
Rory - Chelsea loves salads and she was eating them by about 2. Marley is not very keen on lettuce but likes tomato. The wood fire pizzas sounds delicious, did you try Kelly's pizza base recipe?
Jess - how scary, I would have freaked out! I have only seen a snake once when I was about 10 and I can still vividly remember it. Good idea not letting the kids outside without an adult.
Amanda - glad to hear your foot isn't broken, that would make packing and moving very hard. Hope your application goes well, it must be frustrating having to move. Packing must be driving you crazy!
Hi to Julie, Maya, Jaspen, Tali and anyone I've missed! Hope you girls are all well.
My girls dinner on Sunday was fantastic! My GF bulldozed her house and built a lovely old fashioned weatherboard up in the hills. It is just amazing, so fresh and clean and NEW! It was so nice to catch up with girls and two of them have had new bubs so lots of cuddles all round. Marley's face is clearing up but she has a big scab on her eyelid which looks yuk. Chelsea has her ballet concert next Tuesday so things have been hectic. I had to rush out yesterday and buy the rest of the things for her (tights, make up etc) and she is very excited. She has photos Wed night, day rehersal Sat, night rehersal Sun and then the concert Tuesday. We will all be stuffed by then!!!!
Work today so I better go and keep working :)
-
Hi All, I am still alive and kicking, just a little tired. That precious daughter of mine is still getting up between 4-5 most mornings, and just the other night she learnt to get herself out of bed (she is in a big girl bed, has been for at least 3 months) so the last couple of nights it has taken us ages to get her to bed because each time we put her in, 5 secs later she is out again, both nights we have resorted to the pram.
Only 2 weeks of work to go after tomorrow, not that I am finding it that bad now, but could think of so many other things I would prefer to do at home. Plus I would really like to spend some time with Tori before the baby arrives.
I hope everyone is well and I will endeavour to get back in here and catch up properly in the next few days.
PS I have added some more photo's of Tori into my gallery if anyone wants a stickybeak

Hi Ladies
Jaspen – hope all the males in your house are better – nightmare having 3 of them sick – equivalent to having around 10 females sick I reckon!
Tali – bugger for your mobile taking a swim in the dunny! I know what you mean about the same ones having to clean up at playgroup each time. We have a rosta for the washing up/vacuuming thing but everyone is suuposed to help put all the toys away and you can guarantee that it’s the same ones week in week out doing the tidying and the same ones sat one their bums chatting or having left early. Sorry to hear you had such a pants time at sizzler – your MIL sounds like shes good at making you uncomfy and being rude. Hope you get to move away soon. (One BIG positive about being on the other side of the world to mine – althought the negative being when they come to visit its for a very looong time!). Lol about your DS loving the bhg mag – he could talk to me too – I have it on subscription from my boys for last Christmas! He’ll be nice and handy when he get older! Good on Kai saying her first words and wow – you are so organized making some Christmas decorations already – I quite fancy giving the stars a go – the teddies look abit complicated for me! Have a great time camping at Ellis beach – we stayed in the huts there a few years ago – great place! And we swam there and were the only ones there – it was late September for us so water was lovely and warm but no sign of stingers. I didn’t ever trust the nets either – just used the lagoon in Cairns and the rockpool in Townsville.
Hi Nic – welcome home. Hope your feeding problems with Tyron are working themselves out. I know you’ll do what is best for both you and him and not let anyone push you into anything. Oscar was my lazy feeder, wouldn’t attach then when he would he would pop off again within 30 seconds – nightmare when your boobs are so sore and I was also in agony with my c/s scar hurting every time I fed (very rare – even most of the midwives didn’t believe me!) I gave up b/f him when he was 2 weeks old as things weren’t getting any better and I just couldn’t stand the pain but I felt so guilty that i expressed for the next 4 weeks. For me I think that was the biggest mistake I made as my DH gently pointed out at a later date I spent so much time attached to a pump and so little actually with my bub that we ended up having some bonding issues. Not saying this would happen to you or anything – just my experience – just hope you manage to sort out the bf probs so you can continue and don’t have to go down the ‘avenue of guilt’ i did! Have to admit that once I did end up f/f i didn’t get any negative comments off any friends or mums in mothers group (who all managed to bf) – only crap I got was from ILs! Enough rambling – hope I’ve managed to phrase things right – I only mean to be supportive of whichever you chose but I’m so rubbish at phrasing things! Hope Nixon is enjoying being with his brother. Lovely smiley picky in the bath!
Maya – wow Oscar sounds like a little fish in the pool, he’s doing so well. Hope you’ve managed/are managing to get your assignment done. Hope Oscar is ok after his temp and spew a few days back.
Mel – ouchy for Marley, poor ducky getting her head stuck – I would have been panicing too! Glad the marks are going. Gorgeous pickies of your girls on your homepage – I love the cubby house too! Your girly dinner on Sunday sounded great and how lovely to cuddle some newborns.
Rory – yummy to the wood fired pizza! Sounds like you had a nice time.
Amanda – Glad your foot isn’t broken. Sunday must have been the day for it as my AF turned up too after being MIA for 2 months! Lets hope we manage it next month! Did you get the house you applied for?
Bath – yay for taking Sunday school classes – can definitely imagine Mrs Bathsheba Mel! Hope you manage some sneaky time on BB while the boys are occupied elsewhere and yay you thought I looked taller from my photos – I wish!
Jess – scary re the snake! Glad the policeman could get rid of it for you.
Ali – Poor you with Tori getting up so early – Will has been waking around 5 most days for a few weeks but we try and ignore him till about 6 – he’s not getting upset just talking but very difficult to ignore once he gets excited as he is in our room and stands at his cot shouting dadda and jumping up and down! You’re brave putting her in a big bed – Oscar was well over 2 before we moved him in – Will just lived in bassinette then portocot with mattress until then as we just couldn’t face dealing with Oscar escaping from the big bed. Yay for only 2 weeks left, will be lovely for you to spend time with Tori before bubs arrives. Love the new photos of Tori – especially the nappy on head one!
Had abit of a busy time recently with the builders announcing that the house will be ready before Christmas!!! Great in terms of us saving lots of money but bad as I’m not seeming to have much luck finding anyone that can put the floors down/fence the garden etc before Christmas so we might have to live with concrete floors for a while then move out for a few days. Had a bit of a meltdown yesterday as since we heard last week I have been trying to ring and get quotes from people and do so much organizing on top of all the normal kid stuff, house tidy, cooking, cleaning stuff and I just ended up feeling so stressed as it’s not working. When james got home from work I just went and hid in the lounge with a mag and a bar of chocolate (v healthy tea!) while James entertained and cooked for the boys. This is where we really miss not having family to just sit with the boys for a few hours so we could go to showrooms to view things just us and no kids! We were in a floor place on Saturday and they weren’too bad but then Will’s did a hugely stinky nappy and it stunk the place out! Time for a sharp exit!
The boys started swimming again on Saturday and they had a whale of a time. I was so pleased as we missed last term what with going away so I wondered if they would have gone backwards but the opposite seems to have happened so I was very pleased.
We had a lovely day on Sunday as we drove out to John Forrest national park and there is this wonderful pub there that is very child friendly and you can sit outside looking out into bush and they put (proper) food out for the roos and the birds so the kids loved seeing all the wildlife. (And I had a sneaky beer as James was driving) Although Oscar announced to MIL on the skype later that night that he had had beer as that is what he was calling the lemonade that DH bought him! (DH was under instruction to get soda water to avoid the sugar eebiejeebies but he forgot once at the bar!)
Went to a shopping centre early yesterday, straight from dropping DH off at work to try and find some curtains for the new house – even though every 3 shops I took them somewhere they could play I had still bored them so much that they were both asleep in the pram by 11am – poor loves they were so good and didn’t even complain when they were awake. They stayed asleep in the car when I got home so I left them there and hurriedly tried to make more phone calls but by then they’d had enough sleep for the day so only managed 10 minutes of peace all day – hence the later mini-melt!
Walking group was ok again today – we went to the coffee shop with the enclosed playground so I thought it would be less stressful then last week but within one minute of putting them in it Will was crying and had a badly scratched nose and top lip so he now looks a mess (would go well with Marley now Mel!) – I have no idea what happened as he was still standing so either another kid (there weren’t many) had pushed his face into a bar or he’d just tripped into it. Anyway, that was the end of my socializing so I spent the rest of the time in the playground with them and a further 2 minutes down the line Oscar was crying with a split lip!!! There must be something in the water! Anyway, walk back to the car was nice and arranged for my friend to come over tomorrow morning as I normally meet her somewhere on Wednesdays but the car is in for a service. One of the other ladies has asked us all round to hers after the walk on Melbourne cup day so we can have nibbles and wine and the kids can play which is really nice of her as I don’t know her very well, so looking forward to that.
Anyway, better stop rambling! Hope you’ve all had good days
Julie x

Oh my goodness, Julie, I can imagine trying to do the showroom circuit with kids! Have you done the eBay shopping for those things? I've seen bathroom ware, tiles, fittings, all of those things on eBay and a mum in my MG did just about all of her new house (sort of a reno, but they moved out and gutted the whole house to start from scratch on everything but the external walls!) and really saved a bucket load.
Ali - time is really flying, soon you'll be the second Junie with the baby on the outside! I will definitely check out the latest Tori photos. I put some new photos of Oscar on my Facebook account...I really love some of them - very candid snaps of him playing in the nude.
Tali - I can't imagine going to the beach and having to be extra careful about where you swim! One day I will know about it, as I would love to take Oscar up to Darwin and 'do' a resort for a couple of nights.
Jess - geez, any other snake but a king brown! I tell you what, they will be everywhere this summer :(
Well, Oscar was getting better the day after I posted, but seems to have slid backwards again. He has been in good hands with my dad or MIL, but I tend to think that because he hasn't been with me, it has delayed his recovery. This sucks big time because I was hoping to have this overdue assignment in this week. Probably won't happen. In fact, tonight, just after a major spew episode, I decided that I'm not going to be overly upset if I fail this particular unit and concentrate on the exam for the other subject (all assessments are in for that one). I'm doing one subject per semester from now on, which sees at least a 2009 finish date, but I don't care. It's not about finishing fast anymore, it's about finishing effectively without affecting Oscar or the next kid. My own ambitions can bloody well wait. All he wants is to be with me, and especially now that he's sick, what do I do? Pass him off to someone whilst I attempt this lark.
We were out tonight at an annual dinner and whilst he was very clingy, he wasn't that much trouble - I just couldn't network at all, but that's ok. DP came this year, so they could meet him and talk to him instead. I didn't want to leave Oscar with anyone because of how he was and I didn't think it would be such a huge thing for him to be unwell and asleep in the sling or buggy away from home...as opposed to being in the sling or bed, unwell and asleep. I know DP will probably think I'm being a drama queen, but this has been going on since Sunday night and I will take him to some kind of doctor tomorrow. I'm thinking about the traditional chinese medicine place up the mountain a bit, but may settle for his GP, as long as I can get some sort of medical cert to say I've been caring for a sick child during swatvac week! This is crazy, I can't keep putting Oscar second to my study :(
Was supposed to go to Booby Club tomorrow, but best if I keep Oscar away - I've promised a lift to the group leader, so I may still take her and meander back down the mountain at my leisure with my sick boy. MIL can't have him again till Friday and my dad was finally getting back in touch with his mojo and doing stuff with the house (he hasn't had mojo in years, so I'm loathe to interrupt it with babysitting duties!). Plus, I reckon Oscar will just remain sick as long as I keep palming him off.
I'm going to bed, I'm starting to get really down on myself.
PS - Dee - how are you going with your study? You're nearly done!!
-
Hi All,
Ali- going to have a look at Tori's pics now!
Jess- OMG i would have actually crapped my dacks i thinks jesus!
Maya- well youve been doing so well with all your studies etc if you failed one thing i think it would be forgiven! I dunno how you do the study and the mummy and the tupperware and the wife thing all continue to do it all so well! how si the tupp going btw? doing many parties? i got dh to take me into the office yesterday had to collect some stuff and get the Novemeber previews to squiz at and send out!
Jules- OMG poor boys! and poor you, geez i wonder what happened if it was another kid or not. Thanks for your story on bf, it sounds like a very similar journey that i am travelling atm. I have a double electric pump so for now only takes 5mins to pump out 200-300mls!! but once my milk calms down a bit and i dont have the electric it would take a lot longer.
anyway i mentioned a while ago how sick my nan has been. last week she took another bad turn and obviously i was in hosp so couldnt visit. but when i got home i wanted to go see her, so mum took me and the boys on Monday. It was like she was just holding out for everyone to visit. i was able to get Tyron's first and only shot with his great grandmother as she passed away about 8.30am thismorning aged 88.
Its very ironic that she held on long enough to meet my boy and passed on his due date.
Its very sad but she has been very ill for a long long time and now she can finally rest in peace and watch down on us. My poor pop though for the last 5yrs his life has been visiting her at the home every day, i really dont know how he will cope without that. they had their 65th wed annaversary in August.
