Babies Born in March 05 #5

Zander has been pretty bad with teething in the last week as well Deb, only I didn't realise it 8-[ He has another tooth out and two more that look close, bringing him to a total of 9 (+ the almost 2).

Yay for running Tanya, Zander is the same! He thinks it's hilarious when we chase him as well. Emily really sounds like a cutie pie. Dinner was nice, just that one of the 6 friends whinged the entire night, otherwise all good.

Fi, sorry to hear you have bad m/s, but it is good right ;)

Trish - ummm-maaaah about taking a drink from a stranger... Hope you're feeling better though.

As for me, I think I have done some serious damage to my left foot/ankle. At some point on Sunday night I hurt it, not sure how, and I still can't walk & it's much worse this morning. A trip to the Drs is in order today. Worse thing is I refuse to take nurofen JIC we were successful this month.

Fi, hope that the dreaded m/s eases up for you soon. Hope that Jenna is giving you a chance to rest. Probably not likely but you can always wish.

Deb, Gab sounds so cute. I know the run you are talking about too. How funny do they look walking in their 'big girl shoes'. Tehya has a few pairs now but of course she prefers barefoot. Hope that she is feeling better soon. Those molars are a buggar, BUT wait til you get to the eye teeth and the 2 year old molars :) Tehya has cut 2 of her molars and I didn't even know. Poor girl had to do it drug free. LOL.

Tanya, Em sounds so cute. Isn't it funny the things they come out with. The scary thing is most of it comes from us 8-[ Hope taht Violet is doing well and your bub on the inside is growing nicely too.

Bec, glad to hear that you had a great night out. Now next time you won't be so hesitant to leave her. I am feeling alot better now although my stomach is still very sensitive. I feel quite queezy (only because I can spell nauseous) (OMG did I just do it. LOL) I think it may have been a combination of too much alcohol and a gastro bug :-k

Will someone please remind me to buy cupboard locks when I go shopping tomorrow. My daughter just will not stay out of them. AGGG. She is constantly raiding the cupboards and emptying them all over the house. Just now I found her under the kitchen sink, there is a bottle of orange spray (yes, I know bad mummy) she had that in her hand and a chux, I think she wants to do the cleaning for me. LOL.
Hoping she feels the same in a few years.

I was giving Tehya a bath the other night and we have a cup in there for washing the little ones hair. Anyway, Tehya picked the cup up and was trying to pour it on her head, then she was giving her hair a scrub with her hands. It was soo cute. One of those, you had to be there things :)

Anyway better go, I have a GF that keeps msging me while I am typing and it's bugging the c##p out of me.

Sarah - ouchies on your poor foot!! Hope it's nothing too serious! I don't blame you from steering clear of the nurofen either... not worth the risk, hey? And I bet panadol does bugger-all! Wow @ all of Zander's toothy-pegs! Hope they all pop through without much hassle. Gab has 8 teeth (she finally evened up from 7 to 8 only about a week ago) and, from what I can feel, one more has popped through (at the back on the right) and the same one on the left is coming.

Trish - woo hoo @ spelling nauseous!! LOL ohhh you're a dag! Sounds like Tehya is just like you. Sooooo cute trying to wash her hair... clever chicken. Ouchies @ her teething without your realising it. They do say that though, don't they. Half the time you don't know that it's teething until after the teeth have popped through.. then it's too late! Don't forget to buy cupboard locks but, more importantly, make sure you actually get around to putting them on the cupboards. I've been waiting a couple of weeks now for Neil to put the ones I bought on the cupboards and drawers. Gabby has already had a swig of dishwashing liquid. I don't think she got much but I sure kept an eye on her (and made her drink loads of water afterwards). She was fine.... BUT, it could be worse if there's a next time!

Tanya - hope that Violet doesn't get a whole bunch of teeth all at once. Ouchies!

Day care day today! Woo hoo! Have been into town and opened a bank account for Gabby (finally!). I've put her birthday $$ in there except for the 20 bucks we owe her from getting fish and chips one night... we're BAD parents, LOL. I actually put it back but then had to give Mum some petrol money so out it came again, hehehe. At least now I can just transfer the $$ straight in. I didn't end up getting her a kid's account... rather I opened one of those high-interest earning accounts. Apparently you get slugged with $2.50 every time you make a withdrawal but that's ok because we don't plan on withdrawing anything from it for at least another 17 years.

Deb, I read an article in Thats Life last week about a baby drinking dishwasher liquid. OMG at the damage it did to him. Good to hear that Gab was ok with it though. Then again there is probably different stuff in washing up detergant to the stuff that goes into the dishwasher.... Tehya has 10 teeth now and is cutting her bottom molars. Probably why she is being feral. Good on you for opening up an account for the Gabster too. I'm sure she won't mind lending you $20 before long she will be hitting you up for much more than that.

Finally Tehya is down. I fed her and she went to sleep on the BB s she usually does, so I go and put her into bed and of course she wakes immediately. Then she screams and I mean screams for the next 20 minutes. I mean it's not like she's not tired. Little cow she is. LOL. Oops better watch what I say around here or DOCs will be knocking at my door. LOL.

Finally going to get my butt into the shower.

Just quickly, my foot's not broken but that's all I know. I went to the medical centre because my Dr doesn't bulk bill, so it would cost me $38 and then whatever for the x-ray which I thought wasn't worth it. So after 2hrs waiting the guy spent less than a minute looking at it then sent me to x-ray. I came back & he said it's not broken, here is a prescription for some pain killers. I asked if they were ok if I was pregnant & he said no, only panadol. And that was it. I asked should I bandage it or anything & he said yeah if you want :rolleyes: So I am none the wiser. And dammit I cancelled a BB meet today because there were only 2 definites other than me, I wish I just went & didn't bother with the Dr.

Wow, Sarah! I can see why that Dr. spent so much time at Uni... he was rather helpful, hey? What a waste of time!! At least you know it's not broken... hope it heals up soon tho!

Trish - LOL @ being careful in case DOCS is listening. I'm sure we've all had moments where our little "treasures" have been utter cows! Hek... I remember telling Neil to get his butt inside before I threw Gabby through the window, LOL. Of course... I never would but I was... shall we say, lacking in patience on that particular day?? Hope you have an enjoyable shower!

Sooo funny. I gave Gabby her bath last night just before our dinner was cooked. I called Neil in for his tea, but he insisted on a shower first because he had been working on the car all day (and it still runs like rat-****e... grrr!). He came out of the bathroom saying, "Is it my imagination or is there a giant turd in the bath?". Gabby must have pooed during her bath and I didn't even notice!! LOL and ewwwww! So... the bath has been disinfecting...
I suppose 13 months isn't too bad for her first poopey in the bathtub, hey?

LOL Deb, having a blonde day hun :) Well didn't get to the shower before Tehya was woken up. Bloody Dad, need I say more. We move away and he's still doing it ](*,)

Shannon, your welcome anytime. Yes Tehya is an O:) but sometimes (more often than not) her halo slips. A bit like mine except mine is now around my ankles LOL. Atleast it's keeping my legs together. HAHAHa

LOL @ Jessalyn being feral... I think they all are at this age! Gabby's favourite thing to do atm is wander around with her finger up her nose saying "Nose, nose, nose". Ick! She even wiped a booger on me the other day and laughed!!! LOL

PMSL - we have had a few poos in the bath! As long as she doesn't eat them or dirnk the water, I am OK with it.

Well we had our first BLOOD episode here with the precious angel. Turns out her trike will tip over if she leans too far in it without one of us supporting it. And of course She was strapped in. She has a lovely gash on her forehead, and evidently she bled like a stuck pig!!!! Poor thing :(

Shannon - I'm used to the old hifi joke. A bit like "Whats the time Miss Wolff" (since my last name is Wolff.....) Sigh - it all gets bit tired, but oh well ;)

Sarah - bugger on your ankle. I hope it gets better soon, and while its not much, at least you DO know its not broken.

Anyway, why is it that when you are just about to go to sleep one of them wakes up! Violet does it EVERY night! It is starting to drive, batty! And I woke in the middle of the night and I just knew she was going to wake... yup! Every night she wakes just when I am going ot sleep... and about 3am (and sometimes a few inbetween!!). I am starting to think the dummy has to go! Not sure yet?

HAHA @ pulling the plug on VIolet, poor little chook, one day her butt will get sucked in too. Tehya wakes up atlest 3 to 4 times a night too. She is going to bed earlier most nights around 7.30 - 8pm, but she is awake again between 11 and 12ish then every couple of hours after that. Dummy won't settle her she will only settle with boob. If only I could detatch them and leave her in the cot with them.

Fi, I hope that Jenna's head is much better today and that she is ok. Hugs to her.

Deb, gee I'd never thought of Debby doing Dallas before ;) Such a busy woman you'd be. Yum on the finger up Gab's nose. Tehya likes to grab mine atm and I hate my nose being touched by anyone so it kills me not to go cranky at her for it.

Tehya is in bed, late sleep today, she only had about 30 minutes today when I was out shopping. And guess what?? I forgot to get the bloody cupboard locks ](*,) Oh well, another week of me whinging at her to stay out of the cupboards.

LOL Trish - yes, detatchable boobies would be rather handy! I often say that I wish I could take mine off and night and pop them on the bedside table. Would make sleep far more comfy! Silly girl forgetting the cupboard locks. Can you put rubber bands around the handles? We can't with ours... wish I'd got knobs instead of handles now... grrr!

I went out to the Pregnancy, Baby and Children Expo today. Met Fletch out there and some of the other girls (but didn't get to chat with them) took a gf and her newborn with me so alot of time was spent feeding and settling her bub. Unfortunately that meant I didn't get to catch up with the other girls. Stil we had fun and it was probably easier to look at what we wanted to look at. Got there around 10.30 ish and left just after 1.30pm. So not a bad effort.
Brought a Trolley Mate - basically a cover for the shopping trolley seat and handle. Came home with bags and bags of goodies too. Haven't been through them yet. Oh yeah, brought Tehya her own little handbag out there. It's purple and has Princess printed on the side - too cute.

I have finally updated Tehya's webpage if you want to check out my little Princess. I updated the Portraits, Nearly 1 and Now I'm 1 pages.

Hi girls :)

Well I got a decent night sleep last night. Violet woke up twice... once at 2am and once at 5am. The night b4 was a different story! ](*,) She just wouldn't sleep. it was almost 2am and I decided to put her in bed with me. She jsut talked and was annoying for about an hour, so i put her back in her bed and she went to sleep! I think she was just having trouble sleeping...??

I had my sister and mum here last night. Mum had her friend with her and they announced that they are getting married!!! :shock: WOW!! Considering she always denied that they were involved in that way. She seems very happy!! They are wanting to get married before the 22nd of July... they are going to the Alice then... so oyu know why they want to be married do you!!?? LOL

Anyway that is my goss.

One of my sisters is like that. She keeps complaining how her BF of 8 years (or so) has yet to propose so I told her to get pregnant, LOL. She said "Oh no.. you have to have sex to get pregnant". They are doing the good little Christian act but I know for a fact that they have BTDT.... (after all... I am the eldest... I know everything!! ;) ).
Yay for a decent night's sleep last night! Here's to many, many more!

Trish - I don't blame you for feeling like the candle is burning at both ends! Sheesh!! LOL @ the rubber mallet on the head. Sounds like you had a good time at the expo. I've seen those trolley mates. They are a good idea! I can't wait for the expo here. Fi mentioned it last time we saw eachother and I am really keen to go again (esp. for the freebies!! LOL). Gab has been in bed since 12:30pm!! It's almost 5pm! She must have been knackered. Neil and I took her to a play centre. I wanted to show him how cool it was. He happily obliged when I said they have coffee and the newspaper there, LOL. She had a great time. For a while she had the baby section all to herself. It's so cute to watch her walking around in there instead of crawling. Once more kids arrived, she was a little more entertained. Except for the cling-ons!! Urrgh! There was one little girl (probably about 3?) that would not leave her alone. "Can I hold the baby?". I told her no because Gabby was too big to be held now... so she just followed her around and even tried steering her in the direction she wanted her to go. Grrr! Thankfully her Mum rescued us and took her away, LOL. Then another little boy (15 months old) fully threw himself at Gab. His Mum explained that he just loves other babies. He kept trying to kiss her and cuddle her. Gabby just cried, LOL. Glad to see she's fending the boys off at a nice, early age! The boy did get annoying tho so I eventually told him off (not meanly... just told him "no more now, please"). Ah the joys of socialisation, hey? Can't wait until she's old enough to fight back tho, LOL.

Looks like I've had a day of changing tickers. I don't really see what the difference is like this or the other way, but anywho.


Deb, like you'd believe that your sister and her boyfriend have been together for 8 years and haven't DTD. Come on...... Sounds like Gab had a great day out with you. IKWYM about the cling on's. How annoying does it get, especially when they are playing nice and quiet all by themselve and some kid has to come and bug them. Your polite for the first 5 or so minutes then it's like go away now, through gritted teeth and a fake smile. LOL.

Tehya had a good sleep this afternoon too. Probably just recharging for tonights antics. She was up at 6.30 this morning and fell back to sleep around 3ish, she woke not long ago - of course as soon as I got on here, around 5ish. HAHA I like the way I said she had a good sleep. Only 2 hours. But for her thats fantastic.

Gabby is getting rather naughty lately. She throws tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants and she even smacked me in the face today because I wouldn't let her pick my nose!! OMG....
So... I counted to 10 and remembered the gentle parenting thing... but, geeeez, I won't be putting up with that nonsense!!
I just really hate it when she throws herself on the ground and purposely beats her head on the floor. She has done it on cement a couple of times. It can't be good for the brain cells! She soooo gets it from Neil... LOL

Deb, Teh is into chucking tantrums too. We call her tantrum Tehya. LOL @ the nose picker. Your a slack mum for not letting her stick her fingers up there ;)

Tehya has started to smack too. Although in saying that she has become very much the lover too, wanting to kiss Noah all the time. We get kisses too but not as much as Noah. SHe was trying to kiss this lady at the expo yesterday, not that I let her. And as we left the stalls she would blow kisses to the stall holders. Too sweet.

Awww that's just priceless, Trish! Tehya is such a cutie! How lovely that she gives kisses. Gabby will but only when the moon and stars align at a particular point, LOL. She doesn't really hand kisses out that much.... or smiles! She's not very animated.... suspicious alouicious (sp?) I call her!

Tehya never used to be a big kisser, just more so lately. And she adores Noah, always wants to cuddle and kiss him. Shame he isn't too fond of it all of the time LOL.

Every child is different like that I guess, some are more lovey than others. I remember when Noah was little I would say to Mark how it was sad that he didn't had out cuddles or kisses very often. He more than makes up for it now. I'm sure all too soon you will be fighting Gab off from smothering you in big wet slobbery kisses.

A nothing day today! Gabby has done like 3 poos already (sooooo over changing her nappy because she won't sit still!) and I just can't be bothered doing anything. Actually... I'm really tired. Sounds like a Nanna nap might be the go today, hehehe.... haven't done that in a while!!

Just poping in to say "hi". Can't be too long. Ella is very clingy and won't even let her feet touch the ground. She woke up covered in a rash this morning. Took her to the Drs. Measles. She has had such a bad run being sick on and off for the last 7 weeks.

Deb - Ella has the worst tantrums. She will throw herself on the ground, hold her breath and then let out this huge scream, you know the one when the think they're being killed.

SLEEP. Whats that???? I dont get that anymore. Ella normally cries (while she has been sick) from 9pm to 2am, then on and off until 6am when she wants to get up.

Does anyone want a baby????? She is really cheap at the moment!!!!

OMG, how embaressing(sp). We have Marks' friends over yesterday for a bbq. Anyway, it's later in the afternoon and starting to get cooler so we come inside. Noah is in bed and Tehya walking around and playing. We are sitting in the lounge room and where I was sitting I could not see the doorway. The visitors of course could. Tehya had been in the laundry and decided that she would got through the dirty washing basket. In to the loungeroom she stroll with my black g string in her hands. Marks' mate was the first to spot it and goews "look out she's got a sling shot" :oops: How fast did I move to take it off her. Geez she could've atleast found a clean on. LOL. These people are an older couple, but thankfully they have great humours (hey, they need them with Mark and I).

Tehya has said Mum a few more times but not alot, Atleast some one other than me has heard it now.

Another sleepless night, but not going there :)

So excited, you probably all remember Tehya nd I going to Tresillian last year. While we were there we went to the music and movement group. They had a photographer there who was taking pictures to use in the St George Foundation Report. Apparently they support the group. Anyhow, this morning I decided to google the st george foundation report and upon opening the page who's gorgeous face do I see on there but Miss Tehya's, I downloaded the calander and she is on page 8 of it. Already my girl is a calendar girl ;)

I have emailed them to find out where I can get a copy of the calendar from. Hopefully they get back to me soon.

Gabby's new favourite food is fish fingers. She had 2 for dinner last night with peas (her favourite veges). I was very shocked that she went for the fish fingers first! Normally nothing else gets a look in when peas are in front of her, LOL. It's so annoying now... she won't let me feed her dinner anymore. I try to give her veges at lunchtime now because it's the only time she'll let me shovel food into her face, LOL. She'll happily let me fill the spoon and hand it to her but I'm not allowed to put it in her mouth at tea time... makes for a huge mess!! Oh the joys!!
