Yay! Jazz went down for a nap really easily today. DH came home coz he got halfway to work and then changed his mind coz he was almost out of petrol so he called work to say the car broke down and needed to be fixed so he wouldn't be in. Kind of works out ok though coz if Jazz stays asleep after my Avon district manager leaves then I'll just leave her asleep at home with DH while I go out.
Has anyone noticed that mearly thinking about or talking about your bub can sometimes make your boobs feel full? I have that from time to time and it just happened then as I was typing about her.

Hey girls,
thanks for all of the birthday wishes :)
Had a wonderful day even if it was rainy and miserable. We still drove up to the Hunter Valley and Doni took me out for a wonderful lunch and a bit of wine tasting - soooo yummm :) I expressed enough milk for two feeds so I could enjoy a few glasses of vino. Doni bought me a 6 pack of merlot - yummmmm DJ was good and slept most of the drive there and back and even slept while we ate. There was another couple with their 12 week old baby wine tasting and she was breastfeeding as well.
Prama - don't put yourself down, Poopy is such a good baby and loves you to bits. Just remember he is happy so that is a good sign that he is getting enough ;) Increasing his top-ups isn't a bad thing hun. He is still getting what he needs from it.
Trina - sorry to hear things aren't going so well, I also get tummy cramps and an upset belly, especially over the last few days, just comes and goes.....
Teach - yeah definitely feel sore that is for sure, so should get my body back with pole dacning
I have to get going, been out all afternoon....

i wrote a reply but BB ate it again!
Trina - sorry for the crappy day, looks like a few of us having having some of those...
shell - so glad you had a wonderful wonderful birthday! doni and dj were really good to you! :D
thanks for your kind words, i just feel sometimes i cant do anything right.
im going to stop bf-ing after we come back, it's clearly not helping poopy.
-
Hey, Prama.
We all feel like that at times. My DD1 I gave up BF after 6 weeks coz it hurt. I still don't think that was a good enough reason, but I can understand someone else doing it. If you do wanna go bottle, I think it will be alot less stressful. I've heard of a few who had to do it for similar reasons. Just think how much he's already had & be proud of that!
-
You've done a great job Prama try not to feel bad he's getting all the good stuff from your milk even though he isn't packing on heaps of weight.
I have had a fairly restful day no soccer training cos of the rain so have had a few days of not having to rush around after school. I have nice clean sheets on the bed so hopefully i get a decent sleep and feel even better tomorrow :crossfingers:
It's official i start work next thursday night not doing too many hours to start with so we'll see how we go i really don't want to but DH and i don't share money i have to ask him for it he has his and i have mine.
-
thanks skye and trina.
i know ive done my best. at least i got this far which i didnt expect to at the start.
im only continuing cos we are going to be away and i want him to get the antibodies from me.
once we comeback he will be on solids anyway so i can start to wean him off the boob and onto the bottle. he doesnt seem to mind the bottle anyway, so it will be easy..
have to feed him now
lots of love
xoxoxo

Trina you need to tell your DH what I told mine - what's mine is mine and whats yours is mine. Only fair don't you think? Who's going to look after the girls when you go to work?
Prama you'll look back on this and wonder what the fuss was all about when he's a strapping 6ft tall teenager. Keep up the good work and trust yourself. I saw someone on IPL cricket that had the same name as poopy and the spelling was similar too.

Dont know wether to be worried or freaked out that Will slept from 8 pm to 6 am today
-
Isn't that funny Bron, we worry about everything as Mum's not enough sleep too much sleep it never ends... You probably woke more than him.
Teach good one!! I should give it a try. My Mum and DH will be looking after her, i am wondering if it is worth it i'll only be getting a couple of hundred a fortnight but it's better than nothing i guess. DH wage goes up soon so i will see how things go..
I'm off to get Summy weighed and measured, she must have a bit of this cold at the moment still not sleeping well, she's all snuffly and sounds like she can't breathe too well through her nose but as soon as we got up she can breathe better.
-
Another successful night in the cot! It's good for me too I think. Now that Jazz is in her own room I don't forget to change her when she wakes in the middle of the night and I'm half asleep. It used to be that she'd wake, I'd get up and feed her while dozing in the chair then I'd be so out of it and put her back to bed without changing her occasionally. Now I go into her room, get her up, change her and then go into the lounge to feed her.
-
Danni is she in sposies or cloth? I use a night nappy or a well boosted BBH so if Paddy wakes in the night I don't have to change him. Sometimes I even leave it on for his first feed because he often does a big poo as soon as I've changed him.
Well done Bron maybe this is the beginning of a more restful night for you!
-
Back already i was the first and only one there for drop in... She is 6.4kg, 60.5cm so chugging along.
I have all kiddies home today raining so hard and all are not 100% so didn't want to send them in the rain.
-
Jazz is mainly in sposies, I only own 3 clothies and they make her bum HUGE and she just doesn't look comfortable laying in them.
I bought a monitor today and am using it now while she's asleep. I had to take the ariel off of the receiver because I was getting radio interferrance but now that the ariel is off it's fine and still working. Also it wasn't working with batteries but I fixed that. The pictures that show the direction of the batteries was back to front so I've put the batteries in opposite to what it says and now it's working on battery power.

hi girls,
been out all day. had to get my hair done again cos the colour didnt show the last time, but it's still not as red(streaks) as it used to be. so my hairdresser said to come back next week. lucky she's not charging me. and had a nice lunch at MIL's. been pouring here.
teach - i hope you're right! MIL said at 16 DH was 5'2" and at 17 he was 6'2".
i havent been following the IPL but hope that that poopy's mum didnt call him poopy cos he does stinky poos.. thats why i call him poopy!
trina - woo hoo! on summer;s progress.
paed said poopy has only been putting on about 100g aweek when he should be doing 200g per week. so im increasing his top up but he only still seems to take the same as before, maybe he will start taking it in.
did you all hear about the little girl who was left in the day care centre and her father came to see it was all locked up?
it's next to my suburb, and it's a new centre, it started this year. i was going to check it out but didnt bother cos it's not accredited yet. i dont think it will get accrediated!!
-
Prama, 100g i thought was ok, the nurse at our MG was telling me once that 50-100g onwards is ok so confusing sometimes hey. Good on you getting your hair done, mine looks pretty blah i went darker last time to make life easier and it's pretty dreary really.
It is raining so hard here i have an outdoor laundry and can't get out there so have a massive pile of washing mounting up..... I had to get out there in full rain coat before. House is way too small to be stuck in.
Summy did a poo all over her floor gym before her butt was on a cloth having some free butt time and she wiggled off and did a big poo paige moved super quick while gagging hehe

I just had an email from a friend saying that rubbing vicks (i'm sure it would also work with baby balsam) on the bottom of the feet and then cover with socks. This is meant to relieve coughs in adults & children and help them sleep more soundly and apparently has a 100% success rate

Hey girls,
Hope you are all well. I took DJ back to osteopath and he has been a little unsettled since, but he was like that 24 hours after his apt last week and then a completely different baby. Osteo said he is still twisted and there is a strain in his neck which causes him alot of pain. Poor bubba :(
Prama - yeah heard of that child care centre - very sad indeed. Found out Doni's work creche/childcare centre will take DJ up to 9 months full-time so that is a good thing, and then after that they will take him part-time which is still good. It is a free childcare centre at his work.
Found out Doni is away from Tuesday til Friday next week and then the following week arghhhh at least next week is only 3 nights phewwww but still I just miss him so much when he is away.
Sorry it isn't a long post, will do more personals tomorrow.
Hope you are all well and babies are behaving ;)
