Babies Born March 1st - 15th 2008 #4

Hi all, been laying low in a fair bit of pain most of the time Dr couldn't be bothered checking me properly said it's a waste of time as no treatment for broken ribs told me the only thing to do is to complain about it boobie is filling up the top and getting lumpy so not sure whats going on there have a really bad pinching feeling in my chest.

I am looking for somewhere to move to in QLD its a bit daunting really.

Summy can sit for a few seconds but falls forward when she tries to reach something, she can push herself up on hands and knees but she slips so cant stay up for long she is kinda pushing herself backwards too and can turn in all directions.

She is really constipated at the moment having to give her coloxyl, prune juice and water and still not much relief she was in such a state last thursday poor chicken was in so much pain.

Are you still ok to bf? Maybe go se your MCHN & see if she has any ideas. Or an LC or something. If it turns into mastitis you could end up pretty sick.

Where are you thinking of moving to? We moved 10 hours away from where we were when we had the girls. Bri was only 4 weeks. We managed ok, but we restarted with furniture etc. That made it pretty easy. We are thinking about going back up there - near Coffs - & this time will be taking our stuff with us. That'll be fun to organise! We are lucky & have FIL who is a boss at JR Richards here & should be able to use one of the trucks to move us. Save a lot of money.

been running around.. we leave on Sat, im so sad to leave my family behind but glad i wont be hearing comments from meddlesome relos.

We woke up with the hills around us surrounded by snow today. I havent seen snow this low down for about 15 years its was beautiful and lovley and cold. NIck wanted to take Will out to make a snow man but there are so many idiot osn the road the last thing the police need is someone out for fun.My high chair arrives tommorow and cant wait as Will seems to only behappy sitting up atm and its driving me mad *L* I cant get anything done. He has been really wingey the past few days with bad wind form the littl ebit of solids he has been having only feeding him once a day but boy do his farts stink and are they explosvie so much so he wakes himself up poor little buggar. ANother stage to go through i Guess my baby is growing so fast.

Trina - you poor thing. Although there is nothing that can be done to set the ribs, he could have given you something for the pain - what a d*ck - sorry, but that must be so painful :( Can you go and see someone else, the pinching pain doesnt sound good. Can Summer feed from that side or is it too painful?

I dont envy you doing that move with the girls at all - what will happen to the horse, are you looking for somewhere with land so he can come too, or will you be able to agist?

Mum and Dad are back from their trip away, saw them yesterday, it was great although MJ cried when she went to Dad - told them that they shouldnt keep going away, as she is forgetting ho they are - nothing like the old guilt trip :)
Thursday is goung to be flat out, i am in at the factory without MJ, first time in 4 weeks, so will have a massive day.

Another appoint at Osteo tomorrow, I am seeing someone at the bellybelly centre, she is great and i have seen a real imporivement in MJ and the way that she holds her legs. she can grab both feet now, last week she was only able to grab one, so thats heaps better.

Not getting her legs up to crawl, but manages to move backwards alot and also spinnig around to grab things.

Yep Bron they are growing up soooooofast, i can believe its nearly been half a year!

Well im going now, DH has been working late for the last 2 weeks, (earliest home 9pm) so i have not been eating properly, off to get myself some of the dinner that i cooked for him.

Hi Girls - it has been ages since I have been on so have missed out on so much. There are just not enough hours in the day at the moment!

We are well at this end. Caitlin is growing fast, she weighed in at 6.2kg's last week at her 6 month check-up. We had a rough couple of weeks about a month ago where she had croup and then a couple of days later bronchiolitis which lasted for about a week. We had a couple of trips to the gp and then the gp sent us to emergency which was a bit scary, but she is feeling a lot better now. We have started solids which is a messy experience! Caitlin though has started sleeping less since we started the solids which might be a coincidence but it is very annoying as some nights she starts waking at around 2.30am and the wakes every 20 - 40 mins until I crack it and bring her into our bed. I have even been giving her a top up bottle in her sleep before I go to bed but it doesn't seem to make a difference - feeling very tired in the mornings at the mo!

I have just skimmed some of the other posts quickly so forgive me if I ask questions that have already been answered.

Trina - QLD? Whats the story? Are you happy or sad?
Sorry to read about you accident with the horse - I hope the body is feeling better soon.

Bron - Well done on the ebay wins! Gotta love a bargain! We were given a high chair as a pressie when Caitlin was born and I have just started using it as Caitlin started solids recently, she looks so tiny sitting in it - she has even fallen asleep sitting in it which was a great photo opportunity!

Prama - I can't believe you are still away! Has it been a long time or am I just imagining it? Have a safe trip home.

SJ - How's MJ been doing since we last caught up, I am sure she has changed heaps again! Can you believe that they have closed our Starbucks meeting place :(

Shell - Well done on the C2S, I was thinking about doing the Nike run where it is happening all over the world in a 24 hour period but even though I have been back at hockey for months now, I am not fit enough for a long distance run and would need to do some training which I don't have time for!

Danni - Sounds like the weaning is going well, I didn't have much trouble either when I stopped and if I did find any lumps I just massaged them out in the shower and all was good!

Well I am going to leave it at that and I will try and make the effort to get on more regularly to see how you are all doing, I can believe how fast these babies are growing up.

I wrote a whole post yesterday but then I accidentally threw my cordless mouse across the room and when I picked it up I must have accidentally pressed a button and closed the internet window.

I'm wearing a normal bra today, underwire and lace and all that! No leakage, no breastpads. I haven't BF for 5 days now. My boobs feel like jelly IYKWIM. They are so small now too!

Jazz ate all her food at day care yesterday and I've taken more for her today. I just can't feed her at night coz she's just too tired at the moment so I have no choice but to get day care to feed her. I found the best time is after her nap, she's so active then and just gobbles it all down.

She has bad nappy rash at the moment which I think is making her a bit irritated poor thing. I'm just using sudo cream and curash powder and making sure I clean the area properly when I give her a bath.

Well, must go and do some work.

Hi all.
Hows it going. I'm really tired today. Me & Anth were up fighting til 1am, then 10 minutes after I fell asleep Jesse & Bri both woke up. I think it was about 2.30 before I finally got to sleep. Then Jesse decided that 6.30 was a good time to wake up this morning & didn't go back to sleep til 10.30.
I'm thinking about moving back up to where my mum is. We have lived where we are for 7 months & I haven't had any family, friends or support of any kind around since. For the last 2 months my SIL hasn't been working, but she is the only person I have in this dump of a town.
I just don't think I can do it anymore. I have no friends here. Jaz has no friends outside of school & I don't have a chance to meet people here, coz there's nothing here. There is a playgroup that I've been meaning to go to, but it starts at 9.30am & by the time I remember its on we are only just getting dressed & its too late.
Up where mum is I have friends. 2 of them have boys not much younger than Jesse & Jaz has known one of their daughters since she was 7 months old. There are a few other girls there now we kinda know outside of school that are around her age too. She actually has a pretty big circle of friends over there.
And I can't do this on my own anymore. Anthony is useless. He's a better father to Jesse than he ever was to the girls, but I have to force it on him. & he does nothing else. He could have 2 weeks off work, but in those 2 weeks he will do nothing to help me out. He just stays up all night, sleeps all day & adds to the kids mess by leaving plates, cups, coke bottles & crap lying around all over the place.
He did wash up last week. I think I've seen him wash up about 5 times in 8 years.
I dunno. I'll probably plan on going, but won't do it, but I think I need to. More for Jazmyne than myself. Her & Anthony can't live together anymore. He treats her different coz of the problems we've been having with her & you can tell he doesn't like her anymore.
We are both having trouble with that atm. We love her more than anything, but she's really hard to like. Anyway, we both are having problems with it, but Anthony does nothing to try & hide it.
He thinks she should be flogged the way he was as a kid & I don't agree. I can't let him do it anymore. He hasn't hurt her or really flogged her or anything, but I can't say he won't.

Anyway. Sorry for going on & on. I think I'm trying to convince myself I'm doing the right thing. I have no idea how I'm going to do it. I know he won't help & this entire house will be my problem. I can manage that, I just hope the ATO can help me get my tax sorted so I can get my backpay from Centrelink soon. Neither of us have done our tax yet. I've tried, but I can't get it done til I have his earnings, but he hasn't got all his group certs yet.
Oh well. I'm going to get onto the Dept of housing & Centrelink & see what sort of help I can get. ATO first though.

Again sorry for going on & on.

Hugs Skye. I really don't have any advice to give you, but I can kind of understand your frustraition.
I guess you just have to do what you think will be best for you and your family.

:hug: Skye there must be something in the air!! I am moving without DH something that needs to be done. I don't really have any friends either all mine are in Sydney and couldn't be bothered coming to visit. So i know how you feel, you need to do whats best for you and the kids. Bloody Men!!!!!! Yours and mine sound very similar. Mine would rather be in another state or country that with me and the girls.

No sleep for me either Summer has sore throat or something she is cranky....

I would love to walk out for 2 days & leave him with the kids to see if he could handle it. I can't do it though. I can't leave them for that long. & I don't think it would help anyway. He's had plenty of time away from the kids. I've had NONE. He has mates that come visit, I don't, so he would still have no idea what it is actually like for me.

a question - do you give breastmilk/formula after a meal of solids. poopy gets too full so ive been dropping that milk feed. so 2 solids meals have replaced milk.
should i give him milk for that feed as well?

Your actually supposed to do ff/bf first as milk is the most important in the first 12 months.

Prama - I was going to ask that as well. We just gave DJ some rice porridge with some apple puree and he almost ate it all and wouldn't drink all of his milk. Only took 70ml of milk, so wondering when I should drop a feed and replace with solids.

Trina/Prama - good idea, maybe Prama and I can drive up and meet with you so you have some company I don't mind at all either :)

Danni - yeah jelly is what mine feel like as well and now I have stretch marks on my boobs and they feel all wobbly.

Jo - great to hear from you and it sounds like everything is going so well with Caitlin, such a sweetie :) we started introducing solids as well with DJ, he is only 2 weeks off being 6 months and absolutely loves his solids especially when Doni feeds it to him.

SJ - good to hear things with osteo are going well for MJ - she will be 100% before you know it ;)

bummer.. poopy has been having solids for brunch but i havent been givign him milk cos he eats adn then falls asleep. but i do add about 60ml of formula into his food.
hmmm. do you give the full milk amnt, 180ml, then give solids? poopy seems happier now eating his solids and it's a big struggle getting him to finish his milk any time of day.

Prama - I'm pretty sure that they are supposed to have the full feed, then solids. Maybe you could give the bottle, then if he has a sleep wait til he wakes up, or give him the solids around the middle of feeds.
As I said, the ff/bf is more important. It has all the nutrients etc he needs til 12 months. He may go abit longer between feeds when he has solids, but shouldn't completely cut out feeds. Maybe drop one coz he's going a bit longer between. If that makes sense.

I can come down there to meet you guys somewhere for a coffee or lunch I am coming down soon, my Dad and nearly all my friends haven't met Summer yet and i need to just go do stuff i want other than sitting around waiting for things to happen for themselves. Or of course you are welcome up here too.

I usually give Summer a feed sort of before solids not always right before but i don't feed her solids when she is starving she is loving it so much.

Prama and Shell - you are meant to give them the full amount of feed and then let them tae what ever extra they want in solids.
Milk (whether FF or BM) is still meant to be the primary source of nutrients at the moment.
They should still be as content doing it this way round, it ensures that they get everything they need through the milk and then the soilids are extra iykwim

Skye - it must be so hard for you especially with Jaz. I agree, 'flogging' is not the answer, unfortunatly it is hard to get people (espec men) to see that just cos they were hit when they were kids, that its not the way to parent. Have you and Anth seen a councilor? Maybe an outsider sitting and talking with you both would help you work through some of the problems.

Men are very often completly unaware of what needs doing. My DH, although he works ridiculously hard, comes home and treats the house like his own personal dumping ground. Its very hard at times, so i totally sympathise on that side of things.

IT would suck to be isolated from friends, although since having MJ i have discovered that a few of my friends no longer have time for me as i cant (and dont want to) go out drinking at the pub :rolleyes: I am actually a bit down about the frined situation as im 30 in a few weeks and the big party that i always thought i would have is not going to happen as my life has changed so much and people move on... oh well, i wouldnt swap MJ for the world.

Danni - glad that you can get in nice bras now - i will be in big ugly mat bras for ages ;)

The osteo is doing wonders, although i think that she is doing too go of a job, MJ is now practicing getting up on all fours - ahhhhh im not ready for this!

i feel awful.. poopy is so fussy with his bottle. ive been given him 2 BFs in the mornign then the next feed his solids with some formula in it. i should have given him his milk first.
i feel terrible. :( it's been 2 weeks. i hope it's not so bad. he seems to enjoy his solids more than milk. i just thot, that he would get more from it as he doesnt want to finish his 180ml most times. BF at 5-6am,7-8am, then he has his solids around 10am, then FF/BF around 1pm,4pm. and solids around 7pm then milk at 9-9.30pm before bed.
i feel so guilty for missing 2 milk feeds now..

Prama, dont worry, i am sure that there is no harm done...

Its only cos i have put off starting solids AND had an extra visit to the health nurse (cos of MJ's hips) that i knew... otherwise i would have done it the same way as you as i thought that was how it was done.
Maybe give him the soilds after the 8am feed and see how he goes, he may not want anything until later anyway. MJ has chnaged the timing of her feeds lately and i havent even started soilids (starting Sat) so its possible that he would have changed anyway.

Im sure he would have let you know if he was hungry anyway :)

Hummm, i was just told after a feed, but maybe you could wait a bit, well the way that im going to do it, it would probably be about 10 mins between feed and steaming the veggies... i guess within 30mins.
Im going to the starting solids lecture Friday, i will ask for you then if it is better to wait a bit or feed straight away.

poopy is getting hopeless with his bottles, it's driving me and mum mad
mum said in our days, they were told to give solids first, else they wont take them.
knowing poopy's fussiness, we gave solids so at least he'd eat that.

Lecture is at the main CMH centre in our area - i assummed that every council funds something similar, but maybe not. We have 4 lectures that we can go along to through out our babies first coulpe of years, solidis, bringing them home, positive parenting and one other i think. Good i dea i reckon.

Well what was i saying last night about MJ sleeping through... she did it last night :cheer: i am awake only cos my boobs are full, she is still asleep. Luucky i have the breathing monitor - i freaked out this morning thinking the worst reason why i hadnt heard her in the night...
I changed her bedding last night. popped her in a sleep suit (was given a 2nd hand one) and took some of the blankets away (i had so many layers on her they probably were heavy).. so that may have done the trick - either that or it was just a one off and i will be up aain tonight :rolleyes:

Oh Prama - this is a silly question, but have you upped the size of the teat on the bottle lately??? Maybe its a flow thing - i know some of the girls in MG were having fussy babies at the bottle and it was cos they needed a faster flow - and poopy is almost 6mths, so he possibly needs the next size up????

Don't worry yourself Prama, honestly he would have probably dropped the feeds anyway, Summer isn't too interested in big bf very much anymore. It doesn't always fit for me to bf then feed solids straight after so i usually do it somewhere between feeds then bf her after, he is your little man so you know him best, plus you are putting milk in his food anyway it's all trial and error some babies don't want food straight after a bottle they are too full to fit it in so you could give him a little bit of bottle feed him solids then offer the rest of the bottle or feed an hour or two after a bottle whatever works. Like i have said before you can't do everything by the book so don't feel bad.

Yeah. I gotta say, 3 kids & my only stretch marks are on my bbs. I should be happy!

Prama - Don't stress! All this baby stuff is confusing & frustrating. For everyone! No one gets it right all the time. You are doing great! Poopy should be fine no matter how he's having the solids as long as he's getting the minimum amount of ff/bf in a day.

On my ff tin (Lactogen) it recommends 4 ff a day 210 mls each from 4 - 6 months & only 3 a day over 6 months.
So between 4 & 6 months thats 840mls & over 6 months its 630mls a day.

Man...I'm feeding Jesse like 10 - 15 times a day. 4 bottles a day sounds like bliss!! So tempting....I do have to start the ff before bed thing again. I'm trying to get him into his new cot & out of our room. He sleeps in there during the day, but is still waking to often through the night to go in there. He wakes anywhere from once to every 2 hours through the night. Every night is different, so its just easier having him next to me. Or from early morning he's usually in bed with me.

I would love to meet up with you guys! Petty I'm stuck out in the sticks with no rego on the car.

Anthony's asked me to give it a month. I'm not too sure if I want to. But I do have to get the car rego'd & stuff, so I'm not taking off anytime soon. If he can convince me by then I'll think about it, but I'm still going to get things organised in case I do decide to go. Just slowly.
Its such a hard decision to make. Taking the kids away from their dad. I couldn't wait to watch Jesse following him around everywhere.
How do I decide. It'd be better for Jazmyne & I if we left, but Bri & Jesse have no reason to go, so I feel like if I do they are going to take it really hard. Bri is a real daddy's girl. & Jesse's face lights up the second he hears Anths voice.
The only option I have in places to go is an 8 - 10 hour drive away. Where Mum & Dad are. I wouldn't even consider anywhere else. But that means they'd only see him during school holidays & stuff. Jesse seems to young for that. I feel like it'd ruin his life taking his daddy away from him before he's even old enough to know who he is.
But Jazmyne's self esteem is suffering. He makes it no secret he isn't interested in her. He treats her different to the other 2 & when she's crying in her room coz she thinks noone loves her coz she has to go to bed or coz she's in trouble it breaks my heart.
How the hell do I decide? I have to think about all of them.
Maybe he'll stick to it & he will change & treat her better & help out more.

Off to the docs today. Jesse has a patch on his back that looks exactly like Bri's eczema, so it looks like he gets it too. He hasn't had any solids exept a bit of bread in the last few days, so I don't know whats set it off. Bri just gets it from the dry air when we have the heaters on. But we've had them on the same all winter & he's only just getting it now.
Maybe I'll see about getting some sort of allergy test done. I dunno. You can only do blood tests now. I had the girls done last year. Jaz had hers anyway. They couldn't get any of Bri's blood & I never took her back.
I had to have bloods done on Bri at about Jesse's age & I really don't think I could do that again, so I dunno. Maybe I'll never know what causes it.

I better catch-up I am so behind on personals today haha you girls were busy.... I am doing well, DJ is finally not constipated YAY now just poo'ing normally once-a-day phew.... Still teething but I can see alot more white in his gums so any day now I should see a tooth yipeeee I gave him some pumpkin and sweet corn mash today and he loved it, he still had his full formula feed as well so that is good. Not giving him too much of his solids, coz I want him to drink as much as he can of his formula. There is a sale on at Big W so going to get some more baby cube trays so I can make some more puree's.... Thanks for tips on formula feed first then solids... I actually did some goog'ling so I could find out how it should be done ;) I wanted to make sure I did it right.

Trina / Prama - would love to see you both. Trina - we don't mind taking the drive up or we can always meet up in Hornsby... Whatever is easier for you. I am pretty easy. I will be heading back to work on 2 Sept (3 days per week) so if we meet up then, it will need to be a Monday or Wednesday, but Mondays would be better for me.

Skye - that is a very hard decision but it is one that you can only make. Just go with your heart. Anth said to give him a month.... Maybe it is worth it.... It is up to you though, but if Jazz's self-esteem is suffering, maybe talk to him and tell him it is one of the major reasons you are considering leaving. Write out a list of pros and cons about your decision to leave vs your decision to stay and whatever comes out on top you will then know what is the best way to go. Hope I have helped there.

SJ - *claps hands* woooohooo on MJ sleeping through you would have been over the moon I am sure ;) and omg MJ getting ready to crawl that is fantastic news!!!! DJ not at that stage yet, but he is soooo much better on his tummy. Trying to put him on his tummy alot more now to get him used to it.

Prama - I agree with SJ - check the size of the teat, I am going to buy some more 3 teats because DJ feeds better on a 3 teat compared to a 2 on avent bottles. Just gotta get to the shops and get them. Told Ness you will be back soon and she was happy to hear you will be back for her classes. I missed yesterday's class wanted to rest up my little cold. So much better today. Went to mothers group as well. Even baked some cookies.

Trina - thanks for best wishes.... I can't wait to get away with Doni and DJ - our first family trip. I am soooo excited. Writing out an itinerary only because need to work it out with DJ's feeds and where we are going. And yep you betcha I can have a drink for you or two... Just got back from the doctors.
Had a good chat to him. I've gotta start giving Jesse solids more. I'm only really giving him a bit of bread to suck/chew on here & there. Sometimes while cooking tea I'll stick a bit of brocolli or potato or something on his plate.
He thinks thats why he's feeding so much & not sleeping well, coz he's just not satisfied.
So I got in to see my MCHN at 9 in the morning to talk to her more about that & the infant-led solids.
Plus I want to get him weighed again.
The spot on his back that I'm sure is eczema the doc seems to think its ring worm. I'm pretty sure its not, coz neither of the girls have it. So I'll talk to the MCHN about that too. I did get a cream that will get rid of both. JIC.

Skye - You really are in a bit of a dilemma... i agree with Shell, give it the month (sounds like you would have to any way) and spell out to him one of the reasons that you are leaving is because of the way that he treats Jaz... this is a really big thing for her - maybe he could go to conucilling with her, so that they learn to communicate better.
TBH as a step Mum, i can tell you it is awful for the kids and if there is anything you can do to stay together, try it and keep trying, but if Anth isnt wiling to come to the party, well then you have to make that decision.
Living so far away from him will also be really hard on the kids.

i am thinking of booking the redbull airrace tickets for DH - he tas been working so hard and i know he would love it - besides it would be a forced short holiday as it is in Perth

Just got back from the doc. We have a referral to a paed for Jaz & Jesse.
Jaz due to sleep talking & walking. Hoping it might have something to do with her behavior probs, & Jesse as he's thinking a mother & baby unit might help.
Sounds good to me. He might start sleeping better. I just hope the waiting list isn't as long as it was last time I rang. Wich reminds me - I already had an appt with a paed for Jaz, but I forgot all about it & have no idea when it is. Hopefully now I've got my phone back I put it in the calander & it isn't too late.

Yay I got my highchair today but my boy looks so very tiny in it *L*. He had a great time sitting up and playing with his toys but the thing was huge around him.

Skye do you think maybe Jess isnt sleeping becasue of the stress in the household and he maybe pickign up onit ? I know when I am uptight have a migraine or am over tired WIll really plays up? just a thought I Hope you can get the help you want for he and for Jaz

Just had friends over for dinner..... sheesh don't you just hate it when they all come over make a mess and then leave it for you to clean up? I know I am not working just yet, but when friends do that it puts me off having friends over on weeknights especially when I go back to work. I always help clean up at everyone elses place I just don't get why they don't return the favour.... sorry to vent....

Skye - can we give bubs bread sticks to suck and chew on now?? I thought that was a while off, mind you I bought some teething rusks ready for him. Says not to start him on them until 6 months but he is always looking for things to chew on so I am wondering if I can try him on them??? Good to hear you have referral hope it goes well :) Let us know how it goes.

SJ - yeah we can't wait, and by the time I have a drink for you all I will be blind drunk hahaha but what a great idea on your getaway I think DH would love it, heard it is a great race to watch live as well.

Going to a mums and bubs talk at a local shopping centre, haven't been before but they have guest speakers etc, so thought I would take a walk down if it is a nice day and check it out. Also want to check out Big W and put a christmas layby on, so many good things on sale there!! Circled a heap of clothes for DJ's christmas stocking and presents :)

Jazz is loving her food but I don't get to give it to her except on weekends. :-( She is still too tired when we get home from work/daycare so she has food at daycare after her nap. Still only once a day though, but the FDC lady and the child care said she really enjoys her food. Child care said to keep bringing food for as long as I want but that they do supply food for babies (they have the weekly menu with all the ingredients listed on the wall). The lady in charge said that they won't give her the food that they make until I say it's ok. She completely understands that while Jazz is getting used to food it's important that I be the one to introduce things when I'm ready. I thought that was really good.

She does have red blotches on the back of her neck though. I don't know if it's allergies or not. It doesn't seem to concern her though. I have noticed also since introducing solids and totally stopping BF that she has developed nappy rash which she doesn't seem happy about.

Still has her cough, bringing up yellow flegm now. I'm trying to pat her back to help loosen it up before I give her a bottle coz apparently milk sits over the top of the flegm and it all gets worse otherwise (or something like that).

India - It could be the problem, or something to do with it, but even if nothings going on he's not all that settled.
I put him to bed at 8.30 tonight & he just woke up screaming then for no reason. Had a bit of bb then went back to sleep with the dummy. I probably could've just given him the dummy, but he was pretty worked up.

Shell - I have been giving him a bit with vegemite on it. He does gag on it, but he's getting used to it & he loves it. I'm going between pureed foods & the Infant led feeding or what ever it is SJ was talking about. Soft foods they help themselves to.
I haven't been doing it much though. Now I've been to the doc I'll make sure he has brekky & dinner.
Tonight he had a bit of vege on bread, then pureed pumpkin & sweet corn mixed with a bit of Farex & BM. I gave BM instead of full cream milk this time.

Trina - Hows the bfing going? Are you still having probs or is it getting better??

I am giving it the month. We'll just see how it goes.

Bron, great news on the highchair - MJ sits in hers when i am in the kichen cooking so that she can look around at my height (so much better than the bouncer on the floor) and she loves it... We have a pot hanger over the benchs with saucepans and frying pans hanging on it and she loves looking at - its like another type of mobile! She does look really small in it at the moment, and i ended up getting some padding as she is so small and it is wooden - her head was resting on the bars!!!

How is your leg going? and your bloods, any better???

Shell - i wont introduce bread for a while yet, i think i will just leave her with the veggies and fruit for a little while til she gets the hang of it - also will do spelt bread first as it is easy on the tummy - i know a lot of people that have wheat allergies swap to spelt bread
CHRISTMAS - OMG its coming up quickly - i dont think we will get too much for MJ this year - she will be more interested in the paper and boxes anyway :)
