Bec - you big, brave girl!! Wow, back to work, hey? I suppose for some much-needed funds? I'm sure Eliza will be fine! And yay for her spending a day with each grandma a week - will be such a nice bonding thing for them! Glad missy is feeling better too... you're right, they bounce back pretty quickly! Resiliant little creatures.
Trish - glad the kids are all feeling better. Grrr @ AF.. she's a witch, hey? Any plans on Mark or you getting the snip?? I've already told Neil that he'll be getting the snip once we're done with the kids and he agreed! Hooray! LOL Wow... must have been a long footy game for Mark to be gone so long...nordy boy! Still, if it's only every now and then, it's ok - gotta let the boys do their thing sometimes, hey?
Just had one of Neil's mates call. He lives up the road and just wanted to let me know that he's there if I need anything or if I hear strange noises and get scared, LOL. He's about a month too late but, hey, I thought it was nice of him.
-
LOL Deb on Neil's mates offer. Better late than never hey :)
Mark and I did talk about him getting the snip ages ago but he was soo against it. Big sooky la la when it comes to going to the Dr's. I don't plan on doing anything to myself. I'm actually at the moment thinking of becoming an egg donor so want to keep that option viable.
Plus even though Mark is sure I don't think I'm 100% certain that I'm finished having kids. The commonsense side of me says of course you are Trish, then there's the mushy I love little bubba's and being pregnant side of me that wants more.... Probably won't happen though as much as I would love it. I try to talk Mark around it quite often but he won't budge, says he can't wait til the ones we've got are grown :(
-
LOL Trish... I guess it's a good idea not to do anything permanent until you're 100% sure. Yay @ possibly becoming an egg donor. That's good of you!
I've put some pics of our finished kitchen on Gabby's web site... had to show it off before it's no longer mine, LOL
-
Thats really nice of Neils friend to call Deb. I would offer - but by the time I got over there it could be too late! Not saying anything will happen, I'm sure you will be fine :)
Nice to see you guys yesterday! How gorgeous was Paige's dress!!!! She looked far too nice to play in all that grot. It was much nicer at the centre without all the older kids huh?
Trish - good on you for becoming an egg donor maybe. Its something I've thought about, but I guess I want to have all the kids I need first. Shane and I have agreed he will get the snip when he's 50. Its only 7 years off, and he will have had at least 5 children, so I can't see it being an issue. Although he is a big wuss too!!
I hope school holidays all work out OK.
Thanks Bec for looking after Jenna - I feel like I owe you something, and I'm not sure how to work it all out. Next week I promise not to let Jenna sleep in, so I can just drop her at your place on my way out ;)
Well done on the 2 kg - I noticed it when I wolf-whistled out the window to you :D I guess I'll put them on while you lose them huh?
Tanya - I hope you are OK, and everything is well in your neck of the woods. Cold I'm sure.
Congrats on the big happy family Simone. Good to see you in here. I'm an honorary member as there are only a couple of bubs around born in April.
Deb - I haven't started a journal. I can't be fagged to be honest, and I just don thave the hours in the day to maintain it. The pregnancy is much different, far less important I guess than the last one in that its not all new. Its still stressful, and it was nice to hear a heartbeat at my 16w checkup yesterday.
Jenna is good - she still is sleeping pretty badly at night time, but I dont know what to do about it. its just easier to go with the flow than fight it all the time!
She does know when mummy and daddy want cuddle time though, and seems to wake up everytime whether it is 10pm or 4am. They must have a built in radar or something.
Better go - I'm sitting at the computer in a towel, and its beginning to get cold!!!!!
Fi
-
LOL Fi...I actually lost 3 pmsl must be the heavy lifting of the pram make sure you do another tyre.
Deb: The kitchen looks Fabbo! i love the floors nothing better than new floors after a 6 months of a terror trying to push chairs around mine is looking blurrr
Trish:Good on you for thinking about donor, we were lucky not to need it but had other issues. I am definatly going back to do one more round for a couple I use to laugh with my fert doctor about selling them on the black market fidey fidey. One night he was telling me that we could fetch a noice price for a intelligent attractive healthy women ( not sure if that was a crack on line ;))
WELL I WILL SAY IT :
I actually dry retched today changing a nappy first time for everything but oooh it still brings tears to my eyes. Never in my years of nappy changing and catching vomit in my hands have I but lol it happened. Can confirm not preggers.
Blahh got to deal with the family assistance office tomorrow should be interesting seems I have worked out that they have already given me the wrong info re child care rebates. Going to get them to write it down and sign it cause I am scared I will have to pay someone back.....I hate paying bills
Bec
-
Bec - good idea to get it all in writing! I sometimes wonder if it's even worth dealing with centrelink at all. Seems all the good people get the raw deal. LOL @ dry wretching @ Jenna's nappy! Must have been a stinker! Woo hoo for the 3kgs!! WTG!
Fi - yep.. the play centre was much nicer without all the big kids. After you guys left, we had it all to ourselves! Tash and I took the girls up on the big-kids stuff. Gosh it was fun! A good workout too. Fair enough on not keeping a journal. There's soooo much to keep up with as it is, hey? In saying that, I'll probably do one when I am preggers again... but, by then, I'll be all on me lonesome in Hamilton so will have plenty of time up my sleeve, I imagine ;)
Twas good to see you guys yesterday! A nice little surprise to bump into you like that.
My fricken wisdom teeth are acting up again. Oh for a spare cool $2000 to go and get the buggers removed!
I got some work today at my old school in Werribee. Got halfway there and the car started doing weird stuff. I managed to get to the school but putt, putt, putted into the car park, LOL. Called my friend to see if her DH could help me out (he works in Hopper's Crossing at a Holden dealership) so he sent one of the mechanics out with a courtesy car. He took my pile-o-crap and left me with a 2004 commodore!! Woo hoo! I thoroughly enjoyed the ride home!! When my friend's DH rang to tell me all the stuff that's wrong with my car, I told him to burn it cos I ain't giving the commodore back!! LOL
It was lovely of him to go out of his way like that tho - he even timed the pick-up of the car so that it was during recess then called me when school was out. So tomorrow I'll have to give the car back... bugga!! ;)
-
Thanks Deb for dropping of my nappies :)
I battled centrelink lol I think I won pmsl
The girls asleep getting a bit teary thinking it wont be long before I miss out on all this ohh well

Hi Girls
Just a quickie to say Hi and ley you know that Ella and I are still alive. We are currently in Werribee house sitting and will be back home next Thursday.
Ella started swimming lessons today. She was so good and the instructor was very inpressed that she never cried or objected to anything that we had to do. She loves blowing bubbles and loved jumping in the pool with me waiting to catch her.
I am returning to work fulltime and am so looking forward to it. I'll be working afternoons and weekend evenings and Ella will stay with my Mum. I can't wait to have adult interaction again.
Better go and fix the screeming kid up. See ya soon
-
Ange - good to hear that you guys are well. Well done Ella with the swimming lessons!
Bec - I saw you driving off outside your house and I waved and waved but you wouldn't have seen me because I was in a different car. Oh well. Glad the nappies stayed safe on your door. Dropped Fi's off too and got to have a small play with Jenna, the little spunk!
Actually, I had loads of fun driving around today in such a lovely car! I certainly made the most of it dropping off fluffy mail all day. I even managed to crash 2 mother's groups!! LOL Gabby had a great day playing with heaps of different kids.
-
Hey guys,
sorry i havent been in here much, Anneliese came home on thursday, and its been hectic - 3 kids under 3!! But i love it, the boys adore their lil sister, even declan loves to have cuddles and kisses, he's such a big boy, i thought he would be rough with her, but he's so gentle...
He walked his first steps at Xander's 3rd birthday party last saturday - 10 steps! My FIL was taping Xande playing with his new toys, and declan just walked infront of the camera!! It was so funny, he just wanted the attention, as he wont do it again...
sorry no personals, just wizzing thru here before next breastfeed...
-
Simone - hooray for having Anneliese home and double hooray for Declan taking his first steps!! Clever boy! 3 kids under 3... woah! You're a braver woman than I!! LOL
Neil and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary last night (it was on Thursday) - we just got some Thai take-away and a bottle of bourbon, LOL. Such exciting lives we lead! At least because we don't see eachother all week we've got loads to talk about.
We had the estate agent over this morning and we signed some papers so the house will be on the market next weekend. Getting photos done on Tuesday so I at least have a few days to pack away some clutter and having it looking ok for the photographer. I really, really hope it sells quick... I am hopeless at keeping the place tidy!
Ok... I am meant to be painting (we missed the wall behind the fridge... DOH!). Gabby is with Neil for the morning running errands. Hooray!
-
Just catching up with everyone. Bella is running around and absolutely loves her brother, sometimes too much! She tries to sit on me if I am feeding him. Will catch up on personals when there are no children around.
-
Hi Girls...
sorry about my slackness!! I thin it is because I am so darn boring, that I don't catch up more often!! LOL.
Violet did a runna yesterday!! I near **** myself!! We live on the main drag in Shepparton so we have a pool gate to get out the front... anyway I let the girls outside to play while I got the washing out of the machine. I was putting another load in the washer and Emily comes running in..."baby's alright! Baby's alright!".
"baby's alright is she?" I reply with a smile.
"yep"..
So i peek around the corner and see the gate is open!!!! I crap myself and run out calling her name, thinking she will just wlk straight onto the road!! Luckily she didn't and walked into next doors front yard!! *phew*
Deb, congrats on 4 years :D
Ange, well done on returning to wark... brave girl!!
Bec, centerlink just let you think you won!! LOL
Hi Trish, Fi, Sarah, Jess and Simone :D
Sorry for the crappy catch up ;)
Tanya
-
****....how did Violet get out?????
As you said thank god she didn't go onto the road!
-
Tanya - I was just gonna ask where the hek you were! I don't think you're boring!! OMG @ Violet getting out! Nothing like an event like that to make your heart leap into your throat. Glad the little mite is ok and didn't venture onto the road.
Sarah - where are you??? How's things going with the business? How's Zander?
Jess - I bet life's pretty full-on with you atm!
Just had the photographer take pictures of the house for the ad. Gabby was asleep the whole time so he didn't take any of her bedroom... that's annoying because he took pictures of the spare room instead which isn't nearly as cute. Ah well. I guess it'll be a surprise for people on inspection, LOL.
Had dinner at a friend's place last night. Gabby managed to get hold of some beads that their 6yo was using to make a necklace. I fished some out of her mouth and made sure she didn't get into them anymore. We had a shocker of a night last night with Gab waking up every hour. Poor sausage. But now I know why! A couple of beads were in her poo this morning!! She had swallowed 3 of them. They weren't big enough for her to choke but I bet they made her tummy sore (thus the shocking sleep!). Poor thing! Gotta be more careful when we are at friend's houses with older kids!
-
I will reply, I will reply :)
Another slacker here too lately. Kids are still on holidays so not as much time to do proper posts.
Tanya, crap at Violet getting out. I've had way too many experiences like that with Noah, my little escape artist. Thank God she didn't go onto the road.. Do you think Emily may have "helped" her escape or is the gate beyond her???
Deb, shame about not getting Gab's room photographed, but you'd probably be more annoyed if he had woken her up. Well, I would be give Teh rarely sleeps :) So now it'sall coming together for you hey. Poor Gab and the beads. Atleast they came back out. I remember Joel swallowing a $2 coin, I waited so long for it too come back out I wanted interest. Shame a $50 didn't come back out LOL.
Jess, good to see you've popped in. Life is busy with toddlers and a newborn hey!!
Simone, how are the kids going? Giod to hear that the boys are loving Anneliese.3 under 3, you sure would have your work cut out hun. Remember that you still need you time too :)
Not too much happening around here, as I said the big boys are still on holidays but it's not going too bad with them at home. Watch it all stuff up tomorrow now that I've written that.
Tehya is finally healthy!!! No runny butts, runny nose, or hacking coughs. About bloody time too. Noah is doing well too. Sitting down quietly watching ABC at the moment. We went out today to The Wiggle Playcentre with some friends. Had a great but long day there. We got there around 10.30 and left around 2.40. So we used up our moneys worth. Tehya is asleep, absolutely exhausted poor chook.
Better go, want to load the ics from today onto my puter and check them out. If theres any nice ones I'll show them ;)
-
Sorry havent been in here much, Anneliese has started waking up more (especially at night) and so have the boys. Xander with nightmares, and Declan's teething (he only has 4 teeth atm) and he has tonsilitis. poor lil thing!! I feel sooooo stuffed, keeping thinking "what the hell was i thinking to have them so close together?!" But they'll get older, and then i'll just get lucky again... hehe
Sorry girls, way too stuffed for personals... just hope your all getting more sleep than i!!
-
Sorry havent been in here
-
Jenna is covered in spots...... They aren't dark or bad, and she doesn't have anyother symptoms - just the spots :(
Dr today, hopefully she can shed some light on it!
Fi
-
Oh no! Hope it's nothing too serious, Fi.
Simone - woah! Any wonder you were exhausted. Like you said, you'll come out the other end and be all the better for having the kids so close together. I don't envy you atm!
Trish - woo hoo for Tehya FINALLY being fit and healthy. Make the most of it, girl! Those play centres are great, hey? I wish they were around when I was a kid. I would have luuurved them! But, then, Mum probably wouldn't have been able to afford it anyway, LOL.
Gab has been a bit worse for wear too. She woke up early yesterday morning and was a little sooky (had a cough) but still ok. I put her down for her nap at 11am (earlier than normal) but she had woken early so I didn't think much of it. When she woke up at about 1:30pm and just clung to me. She outright refused to go down on the floor and just wanted to cuddle. She wasn't interested in food at all and just wanted her dummy and cuddles. She also felt a little warm. We were meant to be meeting some of the girls from MG at a playcentre so I let them know we weren't coming. Instinct told me to call the clinic and try to get a spot for the arvo. They were booked out but when I mentioned she had a temperature, they told me to come in at 4:30pm without hesitation. My sister came over for a cuppa and a chat. Gabby had half a bottle of milk but just wanted to lay on her little couch. She even slept for a bit. She stirred at about 3:45 and started crying. When I picked her up she was even hotter. I tried taking her temp again (just under the arm). When my sis and I saw the temp hit 39.2 we hopped straight in the car and headed to the clinic early. I'm glad we did. The doctor checked her over and said that she had a chest infection. So I have to give her panadol and some antibiotics. Poor little chook! We had her stipped down to her singlet but she was still roasting!
Neil came home at about 5:30pm and Gab was still lethargic on her little couch. Not half an hour later, she suddenly stood up and started running around!! The panadol must have kicked in. She went to the kitchen demanding food and was back to her old self except for some coughing. My goodness it was amazing how quickly she bounced back! Cheeky monkey!
We didn't have the greatest night last night - she woke up several times but it was nice having Neil home to get up to her some of the time. She was up with the sparrows again this morning but has so far been asleep for 2.5 hours. We had to go back to the Dr. this morning for him to follow up (and get charged another $52... grrrr!) and he was happy with how she had recovered. She's still pretty crackly in the chest tho.
On a brighter note, we have people looking at the house tonight which is good. Wouldn't it be great if we sold it before it was even advertised?? LOL In a perfect world, perhaps!
-
FI, I hope that Jenna's spots aren't anything too serious like chicken pox... Have you had it?? Let us know how it goes at the Dr's.
Deb, it's amazing how quick they bounce back once you knock that fever on the head. I think the fever is often the worse part for them. If my kids are warm or sooky like that I generally give them some panadol or nurophen and hit it before it gets too bad. When Tehya's temp is up her hands get boiling, this is when I know it's bad because even with just an low grade tremp their hands and feet should be relatively cool. Buggar about the extra $52 but hey, for peace of mind....
Fingers crossed that your prople coming through tonight love your house and want to snap it up right away.
Was going to get some pics doen of Tehya while I was at the shopping centre today today but Tehya decided to be very non compliant. LOL, she even threw the teddy the lady gave her. She did fall asleep though on the way home so she was obviously tired, which I already knew but thought I'd give it a go anyways...
The big boys are out in their room searching for any of their PS2 games to trade in at the game shop, apparently if they have X ammoun they can trade them plus $50 for an XBox. I have tried to talk them out of it as I already laybuyed them the brand new xbox 360 for christmas and that costing me $780. But don't want to insist too much for fear of giving up my suprise... Oh well, it will see them through for the next 6 months, Their PS2 has died, they would be better off seeing if it could be fixed but they have their minds made up.... Just wish they had've decided that before I gave them $40 for the movies this morning, plus another $30 for a computer game. Geez kids are expensive!!!
-
Hi All :)
Trish, a new Xbox... WOW!! They'll be happy that's for sure!!
There is no way Emily could have open the gate is a BIG one. Alecia didn't close it properly on her way to school.
Deb, I am glad Gab is on the mend... I hope the house sell quickly, that would be a weight off!!
Fi, I hope you can get some answers to the spots... maybe an allergic reaction. Alecia had some misterious spots when she was 1 or so and I think we figured out that it was tha mouth wash that she got into (she got into everything!! She was a nightmare!!)
Not much going on here... stress stress stress!! LOL Isn't that what ttc is all about!! Wato and I are doing really well, which is a bonus ;)
Tanya
-
Ooo yeah... ovulation day, hey Tanya?? Glad all is good with you and Wato so that you can make the most of it ;) Hope you can catch the eggy!! If not I may just have to join you in the TTC threads in August... ooooeeer! Still... I hope you've graduated (or about to graduate) by then :)
Trish - LOL @ the boys. Once they get their mind set on something, there's no stopping them! What a great Chrissy present tho! They're lucky!
-
Tanya, hope you guys have a great night ;)
Deb, so your going to go again hey?? Good on you. You girls are all trying to make me ckucky aren't you... It won't happen :)
Ok so we went back into the shops and stuffed around from one game shop to the other and ended up swapping 10 PS@ games and got a 2nd hand X box for $10 Then we went to another game shop and swapped their PS2 controls and something else (can't remember) and got another X box control and a game for it. The boys decided they would walk off and get Noah an icecream from Macca's so I stayed put with Tehya oout front of the game shop for over 20 minutes!!! Apparently Brandon had misheard me when I said I would wait here and thought I said I would wait at the car. As you can imagine I had the craps well and truely. Knew that I couldn't walk off though incase they came back. Little turds.
Boys are trying out the Xbox now and apparently the control doesn't work. Need not think I'm going back in tonight to get it sorted out for them.
Tehya was feral in there and on the way home decided to stink the car out by spewing everywhere. Oh I did say she was getting better didn't I....
-
Hey guys,
Just a quick note to let you all know whats wrong with Jenna. She has a skin conidition called Pityriasis Rosea. Doa google search if you are interested - it seems common, non-contagious, and doesn't need treatment although it does explain the cold she has had as this appears a couple of weeks before the herald spot (the main spot on her belly I thought was eczema) which then precedes the little pimples all over her torso!!
So she's not dying, and it should all be cleared up within 6-12 weeks!
They dont know how it spreads really, as it doesn't actually seem all that contagious so thats streange, but who knows, maybe some of the other babies she has played with recernyly have it, or will get it!!
Better go and get the child to bed - I turn the big 30 tomorrow - Happy happy, Joy Joy!!
-
Fi, glad Jenna is ok, and that she isn't contagious!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you have a ripper of a day (y'u ol' codga...j/k ;) )
Trish, how annoying... the boys going to the car and not back to the shop!! I would have been fuming!! Males... only hear what they want to hear and then make up the rest ;)
Deb, I think I will be joining you... Oday was the day before my ticker said... too lazy to change it!! Anyway, big drama on O day!! Wato's body decided to betray us and not perform (well not the important bit anyway)!! Urgh!! (not once... not twice, not three times... but FOUR TIMES!! In a row!)... We eventually got one in, but I think it was a bit late :( Oh well...
Anyway, we have swimming today... other than that, not doing much.
Tanya
-
Fi HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you sweets. Your catching up to me ;)
Tanya, what a buggar about missing the big O, and how dare Wato not perform hehe. Noah's swimming has a break during the school holiday but we're back next weektoo.
Had a friggin crappy morning. Went to take Noah to pre school and tehy are doing road works (in peak hour!!!) anyway they have reduced the only road over the other side of the bridge to one shared lane, so they have the bloody lolly pop sstopping the already backed up traffic on the brigde. Anyways took me over 10 mintues to get over the bridge so I was well and truely late. Being the impatient person that I am I decided to make up time. Yup over the next bridge was a bloody police car. The stupid thing is I know that they it there and I'm usually the one warning everyone else that they sit there and rarely speed going over it. Of course he got me, I slowed down - but not enough. Bloody $230 fine. Not a happy woman. Got to Noah's school and promptly burst into tears.
I'm supposed to be savign to go visit my midwife in Port Macquarie and that was my airfare. i have 21 days to pay it but it just feels like I'm throwing my money in the bin :( Is my lesson learnt, probably not....
-
Awww Trish! It's always the bloody way! People that normally drive safely get busted the moment they have to speed up and yet the rat-bags out there seem to get away with it all the time. $230 is a lot of money! Can you write to someone and ask to pay it off over time??
Fi - happy birthday for yesterday, mate. I'm spewing that I didn't get a chance to jump on the puter so that I could have said a proper happy birthday. The big 30, hey? Glad Jenna's rash isn't anything too serious. It certainly sounds like a bit of an odd thing to catch!
Tanya - bugger @ not catching 'O'. Still... it ain't over until the fat lady sings!! LOL
We had an open for inspection today and OMG... we were soooo disorganised! Neil headed off to Perth today so he had to pack. He also had to change the carby on my car because it nearly broke down on me yesterday on the way to work (in Bacchus Marsh... about an hour's drive... lovely school but a bloody long way to have to drive for 1 day of work!). Gab still isn't 100% and is actually very congested, the poor chook. So we've been having crappy sleeps and last night wasn't much better. I didn't even have time to have a shower because I had to tidy up the place then get the hell outta dodge. The plus is that we had quite a few groups of people through and a number of them showed interest (one would like a building inspection and another wants a second inspection). Fingers crossed we sell quickly!
-
Oooeerr Deb... things are sounding promising!! Sorry tyou had a ***** of a day tho... I hope you have caught up on some rest.
Trish, bumma about the fine! Bastards! LOL...
Violet is getting more teeth (finally), she is soooo grumpy! Urgh! I hope they don't take as long as the top ones. She is gettin her top molars and her bottom incisors.
Went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday... thoroughly enjoyed it.... now I can't wait for the final one!
Tanya
-
Yep - I enjoyed it too Tanya. Wasn't it a great ending?
Ouchy on the teethies - she took a while to start, but now she's popping them up everywhere huh? No more coming through in Jenna's mouth which is fine by me. She doesn't have any problems tearing things apart with her gums ;)
Deb - your house will sell in a flash. Its exactly the price range everyone is looking for. Ours on the other hand will take several moremonths I would say! Bugger it!
Trish - what a $hit about the speeding ticket!! I hate those things, and you are right, they feel like a waste of money.
No news here really - I am doing fine, getting lots of little wriggles and my belly is finally starting to grow! We went to pumpkin patch this morning and bought a few bits a pieces - mainly trackies as all Jenna's now come to her knees ;)
Anyone else have any exciting news? Tanya - good luck this month. I knwo the performance thing - shane had the same problem in the month we conceived this one. I think it was all the pressure :( I was REALLY hard on him about getting preggers again. :(
-
Woo hoo for feeling wriggles, Fi - and for your tummy growing. How exciting! I wonder if you'll get bigger with this pregnancy than you were with Jenna?? Will be interesting to see! Yay for getting some PP clothes for Jenna... LOL @ all her old pants being up to her knees. It seems to happen overnight, hey?
You're right about the house selling quickly. If the person looking at it tomorrow morning doesn't put a higher offer in, we are accepting a counter-offer made today. Either way, our house will be sold by the end of the week! Hooray! If we can get a 30-45 day settlement, we'll be in Hamilton sooner than I thought... which is good and bad.
Tanya - ooo @ seeing Pirates of the C. I so desperately want to see it at the movies. Mum mentioned something about having Gab on a Saturday night once Neil gets back from Perth... might be the perfect opportunity! Seeing the first one on telly the other day (and taping it and watching it again, hehehe) makes me want to see the new one even more!! Mmmm, Johnny Depp... even in that bloody pirate get-up, he's hot!! LOL ;)
Ouchies @ Violet's teeth. Making up for lost time, hey?
I think Gab is finally on the mend. She finished her dose of antibiotics today (thank goodness!) and hasn't needed panadol for 2 days now. She's still a little snotty and grizzly but her chest isn't so crackly. I just hope she gets her appetite back. I've wasted soooo much food... I could have fed a small 3rd-world country with the amount of stuff I have cooked for her only to play with and reject. Who would have thought any child of mine would be a fussy eater?? LOL
So, yeah... got yet another house inspection tomorrow at 9am. Someone came through today but I was at work. I wasn't expecting it so the house wasn't all that tidy (though nowhere near what it's normally like!) and my Mum was looking after Gab. So Mum raced around and made my bed. She hid lots of things in cupboards and had the place looking ok for an inspection. She's a gem! Of course, they came at 1pm so Gab was asleep. I did tell the estate agent that there would have to be no inspections btwn 12 and 3pm due to Gabby's naps but, apparently, he doesn't recall. Arrgh! With any luck it will all be over soon anyway :)
-
Fi, yay on getting wiggles from bub.I found with each pg I showed quicker, probably due to tummy muscles being already stretched. Did you catch the sales at PP. They are having heaps up here. I grabbed Tehya a gorgeous outfit a couple of weeks back in there.
Deb, YAY on your house. Gee that was quick hey. As soon as the paperwork is done you can gets stuck into the fun part - packing... Good to hear that Gab is getting better too. Got to love a healthy baby.
Tanya, Joel and Brandon saw Pirates last week and loved it. I haven't been to the movies in that long I coul'nt even tell you the last time I went or what I saw. Poor Violets mouth, sounds like she is getting them all at once. Tehya has all of her molars but hasn't started on her eye teeth yet, so not lokingfroward to them, they are the worst I think. Fingers crossed that this is the month for you :)
Tehya has a snotty nose once again, but so far other than that seems ok. Doesn't seem to be bothering her too much except when it's boob time coz she has to stop to breath through her mouth.
Mark's stupid car broke down this afternoon up at the shops. So I pack the kids up and go up there, leave Noah and Tehya in the car and help to push the bloody tarago - couldn't be a mini could it. Anyway this guy comes over to help and I end up having to run back to get the littlies out of my car and put them into Marks as we were getting too far away (don't worry I could still see them) anyway. By this time my asthma is playingup and of course I have no ventolin with me so I get to swap and become steerer and Joel and Mark pushed. We got to the top of this driveway on top of a hill and I stopped, got out and Mark jumped in. Here's Joel and I pushing this bloody car down the hill, it got momentum up and I was pushing with my arms outstretched and butt a mile away. Mark clutched it the car went flying - so did Joel and I. Flat on our faces begind the bloody thing. Must've looked a sight. I lay on the ground in the middle of the road crying. I grazed my knees so bad and my hands and hip. Poor Joel hurt his knee, wrist and thumb. He was trying to pick me up but I'm too fat for him :) Ended up sitting in the gutter crying like a baby til Mark saw us and I drove home.
Yep I can smile about it now, but gawd my knees are killing me. I'm too old to have scabby knees :(
So theres got to be one more thing right? The fine last week, this today... What next???

Awww Trish!! What a chain of events... ya poor chook! And it hurts SO much more when you fall on your knees as an adult. About a year ago I got out of the car and got my foot caught on the big lanyard I have hanging off the keys in the ignition. I fell straight on my knees on the road. I wanted to cry like a baby! It fricken killed! I am like 50 kilos heavier than I was last time I did something like that, LOL. Hope Tehya's snotty nose doesn't develop into anything more... maybe just more teeth?
Well... we've all but sold the house. The person that came through today wasn't interested (apparently the ad looks better than the house does, LOL). So, yeah... we've accepted the last offer. If all goes according to plan, settlement will be Sep 15 - so I still have a little while in Geelong.
And, get this! The estate agent put an open for inspection ad in the paper so I bloody well have to have another one on the weekend even tho it's under contract. Arrrgh! I hate having to keep the place tidy. I'm just no good at it! LOL
-
Ohh Deb, but what if you get a better offer this weekend??? COngrat's hun, you must be so excited.
Tehya was up having a spew twice agian last night. Not sure what it is. She seems fine this morning. She did have a slight temp too though lastnight, maybe she's just a spewer with temps???
Noah had swimming today and he did fantastic. I was suprised, he has been whingong all holidays how much he hates it and then goes today and does beautiful. Put his face down inthe water, blew bubbles and kicked like a champ. About time too, he's been going since he was 2!!

Yay for Noah!! Clever little man! Oh no @ Tehya's spews... she's meant to be fit and healthy for once! Hope there's not much to it.
I was tempted to hold out for a little to see if we get a better offer but the estate agent made a good point. He said that usually the first group of people to put an offer on will end up giving you your highest offer. Also, he said that a house around the corner was up for sale for a few months with just $4000 more on it than what we are getting for our place. He said they struggled to sell it - yet it had an ensuite and was a larger house (though I personally think the relatively new, massive garage, brand-new kitchen and huge block counter-act that... imo). So, yeah... we could have tried to hold out but, in all honesty, the faster we sell the better. We're already under contract on another house in Hamilton (with a 120 settlement subject to finance) so it's much better for all concerned if we accept the current offer and don't try to push it too much. We got $2000 more than we "needed" anyway - not to be sneezed at ;)
Gab is sooooo much better! She's running around like a crazy-critter once again. It's nice!

Just letting you know that Bella's little brother has been in hospital lately due to bronchiolitis.
Bella has the virus as well, but she is throwing it off quite well.
-
Aww Jess.... you guys are in the war, hey? Hugs for you all!
-
Sorry to hear about the illness Jess - hope things come OK soon. Poor little thing :(
Deb - I agree - take the first offer andbe done with it. We still haven't had an offer, adn I'm sick of people giving us advice about selling the house. Everyone in the street thinks we are already too low - of course they want us to sell for as much as poss so it gives the new estate a good high benchmark. Our agent is telling us another thing, and meanwhile we are stuck in the middle. And I agree - it sucks keeping a house tidy when you have a toddler!
Whats the house like in Hamilton? Have you got photos or a website site?
Trish - not sure what to say chook. I have to say I skin my knees fairly often playing netball outside ;) so it might not hurt as much for me! BUt still, that all sounds awful. Hopefully there wont be a third thing go wrong for you. It all sounded liek something out of Fawlty Towers though!
Has anyone else got annoying fluff growing around their face? I have that much short hair around my face - about 3inches long..... its driving me nuts! It goes into little ringlets in the rain/damp, and all fluffy and wavy when its dry! It must be growth after losing the hair from Jenna - I think I lost most when she was about 6 months old, but I look like an idiot! I think I need a headband, but thats just another thing for Jenna to play with......
Sarah - do you pop in anymore? Hope you guys are all well :)
-
Fi, Yup I must admit looking back on it would've looked so funny. So glad no one had a camera on us . Maybe I'm just a big sooky la la then. Either that or your a tough bird ;)
Buggar about not getting any offers yet. Obviously the right people just haven't been to your house yet. They will come, and they will love your home and then you get to start packing up too :D
I hear you on the bloody short bits of hair too. Although I must admit when I first started reading it I though you were talking about ON your face LOL. Thank God you weren't. I doesn't really annoy me too much unless i'm putting my hair up and then I just put on some hairspray and hold it back.
Jess, Sorry to hear that little Patrick is sick. I hope that he gets better really soon. Fingers crossed that Bella doesn't get too much worse too.
edited to fix up my shocking typo's.

hey people
Hows everyone doing? We are just having a quiet fews weeks here-Anneliese's home, Declan's finaly walking and teething again (he seems to teethe all the time, but he still only has 4 teeth!!) and Xander's just being a horrible 3!! Im tryong to stay on here, im itchingt o go to the target toy sale, but im going to wait tilhalf the stuff is gone (so going tonight! hehe!) so i dont spend to much. Going to get the family a pressie this year - a trampoline, as they have a slide and MIL is buying them a swingset for Xmas. and just a couple of lil things to go under the tree. We're putting Xmas lunch on this year, so hopefully since we're buying all the food, everyone will buy lots of presents... unlikely though it s nice to dream!!
