Hi Liz, haha at Tallon hopping into the suitcase as well! I think Lucy was probably in mine after the ball or the video camera, I'm sure she had no idea I was packing up to come home, but still it was cute!
Hana - sorry to hear you've had some downs over the last little while. Sounds like you are sorting things out now though. Good luck with everything and hopefully we'll hear from you a bit more now!
News today is Lucy walked backwards with her push-along car! Yesterday she took a step towards me on her own but more or less fell into me, so I wouldn't be counting it. She is constantly doing things now without holding on to anything for support and getting much more secure with her balance. I just wish she'd stay away from the dog's water bowl! She thinks no is ever so funny when I say it. I don't think I'm very tough!
Off to have a nap, I have a dreadful cold and feel like c##p but hopefully it'll be gone soon.
Hana ~ I went through something similar with DH when our first son was born. Unfortunately he was not prepared for fatherhood back then and he completely ignored us both for the first 3 months, plus a few other very nasty things I won't mention. I ended up kicking him out and telling him to go back to his mother, he was always comparing me to her, so I told him he could live with her. Anyway I swore I would never have another child, I hated him for rejecting us. I told him I was moving to live with my mum and he started to wake up to himself (after his brother put him up the wall on our behalf too). He moved to NSW with us and we mended our relationship. I can't beleive that my DH is the same man I kicked out 3 and a bit years ago. He is the most caring, loving and committed father that I know. He changes nappies and gets up to the children all through the night, sometimes he has a brain snap and yells but everyone does sometimes and I can't blame him - our children are full on 24/7! I know that it isn't the exact same situation that you are in but please don't close your heart to any more children or from letting yourself love and trust someone again. Your new DP may be the man that is perfect for you and to say never is a big thing. I know saying to myself that I didn't want anymore children after Cailan was the wrong thing, I had my tubes tied and I am devasted with my decision, not only because I am having medical problems from it but because I would dearly love another baby. I know you might feel like this now but after you have had explored this new relationship further you might find true happiness with new DP. I hope it works out for you, you deserve a good man after things that have happened with XDP. Anyhow your little Smee sounds just gorgeous. BTW what on earth is courgette????
Hi Steph, wow, had no idea you had such a rough time after Archer was born. Good on you for laying down the ground rules that have now lead to such a loving, happy family. I will also make sure I make a special fuss of DP this weekend for really stepping up to the plate when he was totally unprepared for children when we fell pg! Men! I can't believe they think it's so tough to become fathers when it isn't them who has to carry, give birth to, breastfeed and usually be responsible for the majority of the care! Hearing you say you wish you hadn't had your tubes tied has made me sure that we've made the right decision for neither of us to discuss sterilising until we're too old to have another child, ie both into our mid-40s. Even though we might have completed our family before then, we think we will hold off on anything final until it's really unadvisable to have children. Not sure why, really. Although we did say if we happened to win lotto we'd both like to retire and do nothing but have babies! So to hear you say that makes me even more determined, even though we have friends who are rushing off to get vasectomies right after their 2nd or 3rd child is born!
Hot day here so we'll be sticking close to the airconditioning until later this afternoon when we're going to a friend's nearby to have a swim - yay! I have to finish getting Lucy's photo album done today too, I promised myself there were a few jobs to be completed before I am working too much to bother. She was given a beautiful album when she was born and I'm going to put photos from her first year in it. Just a couple of pages spare now for the short time until her first birthday. It's half done, so it won't take long.

Quick update...
Alexa is on 3 solid feeds a day (but does NOT like meat, any suggestions..) & 3-4 180ml bottles
She has 2 bottom teeth through but has another 4 teeth giving her hell (she is not a pleasant teether)... I have had 2 weeks of a non sleeping baby arghhhhhhh
She has just figured out how to crawl forwards.. but when she gets lazy she does a belly flow forwards or starts rolling LOL...
She can aso say mum & yummy, but wont say dad yet LOL...
She weighed in last month at just over 7kg & 66cm long, she is starting to fit into 00 now too, so that is exciting LOL....

Glad to hear everyone is going well and all the babies are doing great!
Our xmas was wonderful, we all got too many gifts and im still trying to figure out where to put them all!
Abby is doing great. She is finally crawling!! Shes is trying to pull her self up on everything too so we might be catching up to all the other march babies!
She has her 5th asnd 6th teeth coming thru right now. Has been grumpy at times, but nothing i could complain about, just needs a few extra cuddles and a snuggle before bed.
She can say a few words... her fav is dad/da and she thinks its funny to scream it out when we are in the car to try to get him to look at her.... if he does, she does a big cheeky grin and off she goes again. We cant even talk over her its that loud!
Other words she can say are: ta, out, yes and chook of all things!! (she just loves poppa's chooks) She just wont say mum! When i say "mum mum mum" she says "dad dad dad dad dad"
As for eating, shes on 3 210 bottles and 3 meals a day. loves her food but is not keen on feeding herself. Shes into the 0s and weighs about 9.5kg
as for TTC... well as you can see by my sig, its all go for this year. I feel reluctant to say we are TTC and im not sure why? weird. Its scary and sometimes i wonder if its the right thing to do by Abby. I dont want her to miss out if i get morning sickness or something and maybe i wont giver her the attention she needs?? How do mums cope with m/s when they have a little one to look after?
hmm jumping ahead of myself just a tad... have to conceive first!!
Anyway, i hope everyone has a great day... we are off to visit my sister and her kids. Abby is sooo inlove with her 4 month old cousin! she goes crazy when ever she sees him and kisses him like crazy. Its very cute to see. Shes going to love being a big sister.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. Imran is the biteist baby ever at the moment. He chomps down on anything he can get his teeth. Luckily he doen't bite my boobs because his little nips are very painful.
I missed out on a milestone yesterday. I was upstairs and DH had Imran in the garden and he stood up all on his own without anything to pull himself up with. I geuss its usually DH who misses the milestones so I'm glad that he got to see a first.
Imran waves bye-bye now. Its so cute. The first time he did it I thought that it was just a coincidence that his hand was flapping in the air while I was saying bye-bye to someone but now the second anyone says bye-bye to him he starts waving.
He loves to clap now too and also he likes to hi-five.

Chloe, great to hear from you! Lucy gave a few nibbly attempts at my shoulder a couple of months ago and giggled at my reaction... Thankfully she now seems far too busy biting her food to worry about keeping that up. Yay at Imran's milestone, and I guess it is only fair DH should get one every now and then! Maybe. Won't be long until all of them have taken off. I'm still waiting for Lucy's first step now. She can do everything short of it and will toddle along holding onto my hand now. She gets so proud of herself.
Em - good luck with TTC #2. You'll have some company in here by the look of it - but not me! I too am worried about when as far as it will affect Lucy. But atm I would never be able to do it with work. How cute that Abby loves her little cousin. Isn't it amazing how much they love other kids and babies?
Mitch - great to hear from you. Sounds like Alexa is doing really well. As for suggestions to add meat, well, I mix a bit of lean mince in with Lucy's veggies when she isn't having our leftovers. She loves the taste of meat, but you could always try adding it to the veggies Alexa likes the best to convince her. Lucy's particular favourite is pasta with bolognese sauce, have you tried offering something like that? Not really sure where Alexa is at with solids so it might be a bit much just yet.

We did our first baby sign yesterday! yay! He now signs BALL. yay! He also waves hello & goodbye (a bit unco.. but still waving LOL). He understands the other signs, like milk, book, drink and eat, but he hasn't signed them back yet. The books say that once they do their first couple of signs, it really takes off from there.
I bought him his first toothbrush a few weeks ago. LOL. He happily chews on it. In fact it results in screaming when I take it off him.. so hopefully he'll enjoy brushing his teeth! heheh.
As for biting - yup.. we have a little biter here too. Not norty biting tho... it's just that everything goes in that mouth! Including toes, ankles, shoulders... argh. And worst of all.. my hair! He's been obsessed with my hair for ages now.. any ideas how to substitute something for it? It seems to be the thing that comforts him. If he's not sleeping, and is carrying on.. all I have to do is pop him on our bed, lie down next to him.. he rolls over and grabs my hair.. and goes to sleep! If only it was a blanky instead *sigh*. But he's always hanging onto it, and trying to eat it. very annoying.
Eating - going ahead leaps and bounds LOL. He eats anything and everything - well, anything that he can hold - how do you feed Lucy pasta Jen?? LOL.. we tried.. and he either sucks a whole noodle into his mouth.. or he can't get hold of it! He hovers around us like a dog at the dinner table wanting bits of anything we're eating too. We now have to curb our unhealthy habits.. coz he gets upset if he doesn't get a nibble of anything we're eating. hehe. I had to give him a couple of chips the other day in the car, coz we got takeaway, and he was most put out that we were in the front eating, and he wasn't! He does however LOVE his fruits, and funnily enuf, he LOVED the salmon that we cooked last week on the bbq! Good brain food ;)
Emz - TTCing - yay! I feel the same.. wondering how I'll cope, and if we're really ready .. but when are you ever REALLY ready?? Plus, we have to think what the kids will be like in 9+ months time, and it'll be very different to now.. so YAY! go for it! Oh and as for coping with m/s.. I'm in the process of stocking up the freezer with lots of meals! I wasn't sick exactly with m/s, but could NOT think about food. If mum cooked for me.. I could eat anything.. it wasn't a problem.. but I couldn't pick anything to eat myself. So poor DH lived on lean cuisines most of that trimester LOL. So I'm stocking up the freezer in the garage so I don't have to think about food through that first stage!
Our initial plan was to ttc when he turned 1, but we might start trying next cycle :eek: My BIL is getting married in Singapore in December, and I figured if we could be successful in conceiving first go (ha - wishful thinking!) then the baby would be born by then, and we could go.. but if we wait until March - I'll probably be too pregnant to travel. So we will probably start trying next month and see how we go.

Liz - how cute that he uses signs! I thought about getting the book and trying a few. In fact, I printed out the sheet they have on the internet that's kind of an intro to the book, but I haven't gotten around to buying the book! Atm Lucy is pretty good at communicating by pointing, etc, so maybe I'll give up and be slack Mum!
I feed Lucy our leftover pasta, cut up a bit so it fits on her small spoon, but if it were still in bigger pieces she'd just pick it up. She picks up what's there and shovels it into her mouth by the handful anyway... Anything that's a bit slippery takes a bit more concentration, but she gets there in the end. She even tries picking up handfuls of mushy weetbix but manages to get it everywhere in the process! Grapes and cherries are the funniest. She can now put a grape into her mouth and sits and chews on it until there's only skin, which she either spits out or swallows, but she's also taken to shoving in a second grape before the first is finished! Same with cherries, although I take the pips out first. I guess 'cause she's used to handling slippery small fruit she's not too bad with everything else.
Lucy is the same with wanting whatever I eat. And yes, I am eating much healthier as a result too! Lucy tried salmon and liked it too, but then, there isn't much Lucy won't eat.
Oooo, fingers crossed for you next cycle. It took you a while to conceive with Tallon didn't it? Here's hoping this time is completely different!! Are we thinking blue or pink thoughts, or not bothered? Sending you all of my babydust, since I have no use for it atm!!
hehe - i haven't been game to give him grapes yet.. i have a feeling he'd just keep popping htem in his mouth without chewing and swallowing! LOL. I think he enjoys the act of eating and biting rather than actually eating iykwim? And OMG at the mess he gets in these days! So much better when he's spoon fed LOL. Oh well. Lucky his highchair is on the lino, so it's pretty easy to clean up.
We actually concieved Tallon on our first proper attempt. The delay with TTC was that I had no cycle for 10 months, so had to have tests and stuff, then went on Metformin, but fell pg on the 2nd cycle, but first time trying. So technically, we fell first go, but really, we were unofficially trying for about 6 months or so.
Ooooh, so it might be a BFP for you very soon!! Are you on Metformin again, or has your cycle been back to normal since having Tallon? Sorry if I'm being too nosey!
It's been like clockwork since 3 months! (well.. kinda - the cycles are getting a bit longer each time.. but so far, the cycles seem to be normal, and I seem to be O'ing) So I'm hoping I don't need Metformin again. I'll be a little nervous if I fall without it, coz Metformin is meant to help prevent miscarriage with pcos... so I'll be a bit scared those first 12 weeks!
Imran ate spagetti tonight. It was so funny - he would grab a handful then mush as much as he could in his mouth and suck up the rest making big slupy noises. He was really pleased with himself so he was doing huge smiles with bits of spagetti hanging out all over the place rofl.
Haha at Imran and spaghetti. Lucy loves pasta with bolognese sauce, but why is it the things they love the most also make the most mess?
Liz, if you are Oing without the Metformin does that mean the PCOS is dormant or at least under control? 'Cause surely that means your chance of miscarriage is also reduced.
OMG Lucy has just climbed on top of a box. Didn't know she could do that! Better go and rescue what I've hidden behind the box...!
Can't remember if I told you guys - Tallon had a banana the other day - thought I'd try again since bananas were only $1.99/kg!! He chomped it down! So he obviously likes them now! LOL. Anyway - I must put up the photo of the MESS he made. OMG! I had to rinse his clothes straight away, as I think banana is one of the worst foods to get out. And he was so pleased with himself and the mess he made. He was clapping his sticky hands together and having a grand ol' time!
Jen - I hope so! I'm not really a stresshead kinda person, so I won't be toooooo worried thru the 1st tri, but it will be in the back of my mind. Mum said her AF became regular after having a baby too, so maybe pregnancy helps regulate the hormones? PCOS is usually a hormone imbalance.
Not meaning to butt in to your convo Liz and Jen13, my sister has PCOS and her specialist told her that having a baby can sometimes get rid of the PCOS. I hope this is true for you LIz!
Does anyone know if you can have a VB after multiple c sections?
Not sure Steph, you should ask your ob I guess. I know my only issue is that I can't be induced, but I've only had one c/s. They call a vbac 'trial of scar' also, so I guess they're testing whether that is strong enough to withstand the contractions of labour. I would assume that multiple c/s means it's a lot less likely to cope with contractions, but I am by no means qualified to give anything other than an opinion! Why don't you try posting a qn on the medical forum?
Liz, Lucy just looooves bananas. I break them in half so she can hold them a bit more easily, but it takes her only a minute or two to get down each half. I didn't know PCOS was caused by a hormone imbalance, I guess you'll find out pretty soon if yours is going to be an issue or not! I'm going to check out Tallon's photo now.

Ooooo I'm so excited!!!! Lucy took her first steps on Friday and is getting more and more sure of herself!! She's so good at standing and toddling around (mostly with support on the walking, but she puts in the odd steps on her own) that I can put her in dresses and she doesn't trip herself!
I managed to get her first steps on video, amazingly. She was trying so hard to walk to me that I set the video up in the hope that if I encouraged her she'd do it properly. Not sure how clear the video is going to be, but hey, at least I know what it is! She looks so grown up standing there and tottering towards us...

Oh yay for Lucy! Tallon stood on his own for a few seconds last night. He did it a couple of times, and he kinda did a couple of steps whilst falling towards the lounge iykwim. hehe.. .not really walking.
We are having monstrous nappies atm :( I'm not sure if I should be worried? We're having 4-5 very loose bowel movements a day.. they're disgusting. In all other ways he's the same.. playful etc. He's not lethargic and doesn't have a temp or anything.. so I'm putting it down to teething poos. The only thing is I'm worried he might be losing weight.. his nappies are doing up a bit tighter these days. Altho I think that happens when they're on the move anyway? I might start a thread somewhere else and ask for advice.
Maybe I'm not feeding him enough food? I do struggle with what to give him for lunch. hehe. If I give him finger foods, I'm sure not much of it ends up in his tummy... mostly on his lap and on the floor! I don't want to be giving him veges for lunch AND dinner. Any suggestions? He wolfs down fruit, but I think he needs something a bit more substantial. He ate rice cake things (you know those horrible things that are like cardboard!) with avocado and vegemite on them the other day (thanks to mum) but even then, I don't think he actually 'ate' much of it.. coz there was an almighty mess around him!

Tayneesha is going well, She is pushing behind her walker still, has aot of teeth now and sleeps till 8.30am in the morning!!!:eek: Good for me being preggas again! She is not eating meat so not sure what the go is there but eats everything else.....
Gosh all of our so called babies not babies any more are growing so fast! Everyone sounds as if they are gowing great guns too.
I have made this short as i have got heaps and heaps to do today thats for sure, its amazing how much you have to do when you get back from hols, it hits you thats for sure!!!

Liz, Lucy had a week of awful nappies while she had a cold and I thought maybe it was a virus on top of the cold. She's also been waking herself up at night with a dirty nappy every other night. Not sure what's going on, but I think it's a viral thing. Lucy only has 2 teeth and no more in site yet, so I'll blame a bug. Could be something she's eaten too. I give Lucy leftovers or make up a proper dinner at lunch and dinner (including vegies, etc) but I do also give her avocado/vegemite sandwich to eat. Doesn't all get eaten, but she's much better than she was!

I can see a white swollen gum.. and he chomps on his finger on the side of his mouth a lot, and dribbles and spits everywhere LOL. I don't think it's a bug, coz he's TOTALLY himself otherwise.. it's just the nappies. Mum's picking up some more brauers for me today, so I'll see if that gives him some relief - I wonder if it helps the tummy too? I wonder why teething gives em rotten nappies?
I gave him rice & veg for lunch today, so at least I know he's eaten.. he didn't want brekky this morning, think he was too tired. But he's happily playing and walking around the furniture. So *shrug*. Just one of those things I guess.
Yeah, Lucy didn't seem out of sorts at all. The only way I knew she had something was the slight sniffles for two days and then the disgusting nappies. Eating as normal, playing as normal, a couple of long-ish naps, but then, sometimes she does that even when she's fine. But if you can see swelling and a whitish lump then you must be on the money with teeth!! Oh, and 'experts' disagree with each other on the teething thing, some say it doesn't cause runny nappies and some say it does.
really? LOL - well.. I think I qualify as an expert now.. coz I've dealt with so many! LOL. And he definitely gets these nappies with his teeth!
Experts, huh?! Don't know what they compare to, every child seems to be different, so I don't know how you can definitively say ALL do or don't react in a certain way! Plus, surely it makes a difference at what stage they start teething. Lucy has only two teeth and she'll obviously be a bit older when the others come through and more capable of 'communicating' so I wonder if that'll make a difference?

Jen and Liz- sounds like your bubs are going great. Im impressed with the eating! im so scared that Abby is going to choke. When i give her a banana, i mash it up and feed her with a spoon... if we go out for tea, she has 'sketti' and i spend ages cutting up the pasta. She did get a few long ones tho and it was the cutest thing in the world- seeing her suck them up like a pro.
She mainly eats pasta and veg, wheet bix for breakfast, some fruit as snacks, a teddy bear biscuit every now and then. Toast doesnt really get eaten, and i did give her a sandwich once but then freaked out and took it off her. I want to give her more fruit but that scares me too. She does eat anything we eat really, but i make it look like mush first or cut it into such small pieces.
Can you all please help me out and tell me what your babies eat and how you prepare it?
I feel like a bad mum now, but im just so scared. Mum freaked me out and told me that she saw a 5 year old on tv that had to be spoon fed!!
As for other things... shes very happy and very healthy. Loves her drinks of juice and water in this heat. Loves to swim.
We had a weekend of trouble with her teeth playing up a couple of weeks ago. Now i know what all this fuss about teething babies is all about. Abby has 4 and a half teeth, and the first 4 were nothing! This last one was a pain and it was horrible to see her like that. I couldnt believe the fits she was throwing and wacko the next day she has a tooth thru. Its one of the top middle ones. Shes also currently cutting the bottom one left of the middle 2, and the other top middle one is right there bulging waiting to cause some trouble. That will be 3 teeth this month!!!
Shes been doing 2-3 poos a day... so delightful!
So onto the TTC... just waiting for AF to show up... im on day 27 so it can be long (cycles are 28-29 days) Im a bit cross with my body at the moment as ive had cramps, tingles and all sorts of aches and my boobs have been sore for the past 2 weeks.... so basically its going to mean nothing when next month im looking for pregnancy symptoms (as ya do!) and ill have the sore boobs and cramping. Bugger. lol i would hate having to wait till a missed AF to test! (lol here we go again!!! now its all coming back to me! the joys of ttc)
Dont think im gonna get my VBAC, the odds are going to be against me if/(when) i get GD and am on insulin. Im not sure that you can be induced when ur having a VBAC (i was told this) and its "normal" (apparently) to get induced at 38w with GD/insulin. I dont know, i cant think about it anymore, im just going round in circles.
Congrats to all the babies who are starting to walk! Silly Abby thinks she can just get up off the floor without any help... she pushes herself up onto her feet with her hands on the floor and trys to stand up that way... ofcourse its not going to work!! haha
Emz - Tallon has mushed fruit with cereal in the morning, and sometimes a bit of toast, if I can be bothered making it hehe. Lunch - dunno! Today I gave him mushed veg & rice.. and he had the same for dinner poor kid. But he loves fruit.. he chomps into watermelon and rockmelon.. mango is a bit slippery.. but he somehow manages to eat a bit.. we had peaches the other day too. Oh he has apple now too.. altho I think he enjoys the biting of it more than the eating.. as most of it ends up in his highchair, bitten into little bits. hehe.
Don't worry about the mashing. I know someone that mashed all her daughters food for a couple of years out of fear of choking.. but she eats just fine now :) Just do what's comfy for you :)
There's always biscuits and teething rusks etc which are kinda mushy and less likely to be a choking hazard. So long as she feeds herself -something- I wouldnt' worry :)
Oh boy - tell me about it with the teething. Tallon cut 5 at once before, I wish he'd cut them ALL at once and be done with it. The nappies are driving me mental at the moment, and this is all for just 1 tooth (as far as I can see anyway!).

Em - at this age I don't think you have to worry too much about whether you should still be mashing or not. At five it's a bit of a different story! Plus, kids with those kinds of problems at that age usually have it because of other issues as well (can't handle getting messy, esp hands, bit of tension in the household, etc, etc). Or so I believe. I watched a few shows on kids with problems and most with eating problems were exactly the same.
As for how I prepare Lucy's food, well, breakfast is weetbix (mushy with water and a bit of EBM) and then some toast with vegemite, cut into fingers (with crusts). Morning tea is some water and a rice/corn cake. Lunch is either leftover risotto or pasta (I cut the pasta up a bit), an avocado sandwich (cut into triangles, but with the crusts - Lucy's favourite parts!), some fruit (none peeled, but usually cut into hand sized pieces, unless it's something like grapes or blueberries, which she eats as is) and water. She will then have a biscuit some time during the afternoon if she's hungry. Dinner is either leftovers or I make up some vegetables with meat (like sausage cut up, or mince, or small pieces of chicken), some more fruit and then some yoghurt. She also has 4 bf a day. Lucy is a pig!!!
As far as fruit goes, atm I really like giving her stone fruit, with the stone removed, cut into quarters. She can hold it easily, it's really soft and she can chew and suck the juice out of it. Lucy has now progressed to biting off the edges and swallows skin and all, but if you're worried about choking, they mainly seem to suck out the juice and pulp rather than 'eat' it, if that makes any sense. I used to start the grapes for her by biting off the top and she'd just chew it and spit out the skin when she was done. Banana is an easy one too.
Well done to Abby with all of her teeth!!! And Tallon too, of course. Lucy still has only the two and no more in sight.
Well, must be off. Work to do and housework as well. MIL from hell coming over this evening, oh joy. Always like to make sure it looks like I'm super-Mum when she's coming over...

Well ive put down a "drop sheet" and she is sitting 30cm away from me eatinga banana..not all smushed up, just broken in half. Shes doing great, im nervous but its going ok. Shes so happy with herself. Oh no! i just looked up and smiled at her and she started laughing with banana in her mouth. shes making "mmmm mmmm mmm" moises. haha how cute.
Jen- whats the rice/corn cake you give Lucy and how does she go with it? Is it one of those round things? kinda flat and lumpy?
Liz- what sort of cereal do you give Tallon? We are bored with wheet bix but i dont know what esle i could give her.
Well we had some trouble last night. It was about 2am when she woke up, screaming. Tim got up to her, but she still carried on (its usualy just a call for the dummy). She got in our bed and went crazy, tossing and turning, kicking, kept waking up screaming and crying. Gave her some panadol and bonjela after a little while and that did the trick. Felt a new tooth when i was putting the bonjela on. Poor little thing. She was back to sleep at about 3:15 and then at some time tim managed to put her back into her cot.
Another question: how much do your babies sleep during the day?
Emz - I give him baby muesli, occassionaly weetbix, but mainly muesli, and I add some apple or something that I've prepared and frozen into icecubes. I defrost the fruit, add cereal and water and heat it up a bit in the microwave. Sorry to hear about the rough night.. I hope the tooth cuts through and Abby gets some relief! We actually had a fantastic night last night! He slept from about 9.30/10.00 (didn't look at the clock) until 5am! Then he had a feed... oh actually it wasn't THAT fantastic.. he did a MASSIVE teething poo at 5am, and I had to change him. blerk. I was gagging the whole way (how will I cope when I'm pg??!). But the sleep was great :)
Jen - gosh - she IS a pig! LOL. Poor Tallon, doesn't get that much food. But then he's still very much a booby boy, so gets lots of b/f's. I think I've been worried about choking coz he cut so many teeth at once, that he immediately started biting off chunks of food iykwim. So I've had to watch him closely. Altho now he manages the chunks quite well. hehe.
OMG... now i know what i have to do to to get everyone in here......i have to leave... HA HA.
I have briefly read your posts but will do so properly once kiddies are in bed tonight and endevour to post also.
We are all well here. Brad has 8 sleeps till big school, Liam has worked out in the last week how to climb stairs and has taken a few steps behind a walker. I think thats the exciting stuff, so i will fill you in on the rest later.
LOL Kas - yeah - go away! ;) Wow at Brad starting school! My niece starts this year, mum's going down to canberra to see her off. hehe. I must remember to get her something to give her.
Kas - hi!!! Glad to have you back. Yay at Liam walking behind a walker. OMG our first March buddies bday is so close! What is everyone planning for the big day? I bet you can't believe Brad will be at school next week... Time just flies by. My gf's twin girls start next week too. Seems only yesterday she was pg. *Sigh* I bet that's how quickly it'll be for Lucy too.
Liz - With all those teeth I'm not surprised Tallon is good at chunks. Lucy somehow tears her food apart. Not quite sure how. How many bfs does Tallon have? Phew at the 5am poo! Lucy has been doing a few middle-of-the-night poos. Very annoying, means she wakes up not very happy and takes ages to get her back down. Hope you don't get bad m/s!!
Em - yeah, the rice/corn things you're thinking of sound like what she has. Likes corn better than rice. LOL at the banana, what an adventurous Mummy you're becoming!! Lucy has two naps, usually a short one at about 9:30am for 40 mins and then a long one in the afternoon, anytime from 1:30pm until 3pm when she goes down, for up to 2 hrs.
Must go, dinner is ready!
Jen - b/f's - ummm... no idea! Lemme think. ok... start with a possible 5am feed, then one when around 7.30 (after taking dh to the station)... breakfast... feed to sleep around 9.30/10ish. When he wakes up, he has a play, then some lunch (depends how long he sleeps tho) .. has sippy cup of water with lunch. Might have a small b/f drink. Feed to sleep around 2ish? Couple more small feeds/drinks before dinner.. has dinner around 6.30, plays with DH when he comes home.. feed to sleep around 9 (if I'm lucky LOL.. sometimes 9.30 or 10.00). Sometimes wakes for midnight feed (comfort more than anything tho). So thats.... 5 or 6 big feeds, with a few 'drinks' inbetween, and has his sippy cup throughout the afternoon. Wow! I've never counted it before! LOL.
ETA: actually he sometimes has a small sleep around 5ish. It depends how long his sleeps have been through the day. I don't mind that he has a late bed time... DH would never see him otherwise - he doesn't get home until about 7.30 each night :(

well i have finally got all my things i wanted to get done after getting back from Hols. Tayneesha has been ok lately but is teething badly she has heaps of teeth coming through at once, she has her two bottom, two top, two sides through already and down the bottom now more are coming as well as the top :eek: ..... Poor little thing. Suprisingly though she has been fine during the night time, i ahev just been giving her nurofen before bed.
She use to go to bed at 7.7.30pm but i think she has her times confused with Perth as she is not going to be until 8.30 - 9pm now, doesn't bother me though as she sleeps in until 8-8.30am i love my sleep and she must too!
Food wise, she has the following during the day:
Breaky - weetbix with formula and some toast
morning tea - formula or cruskit or something similar
Lunch - gave her sandwiches with ham yesterday and she just threw them on the floor ..... then i tryed some nectarine she sucked it and then threw on the floor so i went back to the normal stewed apple and a yoghurt. She sometimes has vegemite sandwiches which she likes but god she can be fussy!!!! :frown:
Afternoon tea - Bottle and some berries or fruit in a tommee tippee net thing that she sucks on she loves it as they are cold.
Dinner - she will not have anything but veges or fruit and a yoghurt!
Is this normal as everyone seems to be having alot more success than me thats for sure, maybe she is taking longer than others. She is growing fine and as happy as larry so i'm not too concerned but it is annoying for me as i wish she was like Lucy Jen eats everything you lucky thing you!! WELL DONE TO LUCY THOUGH what a big girl now!!!!:biggrin:
Gotta laugh i am tyoing on the computer and the laptop is next to me on a lower shelf so Tayneesha is pretending to type as well on the keyboard, so damm cute. She copies so much now it is really funny blowing raspberry sound with her mouth and puts her hands up when she does it, her new thing obviously, she thinks she is funny cause she laughs as well.:rolleyes:
JEN - for Tayneesha's birthday i think we will just have a family day and invite a few of her playmates and parents along, maybe go to a place up here called mudddies it is a big water park on the esplanade and has heaps of things to do etc. If we don't do that then might just have a picnic with DH somewhere exciting for Tayneesha so she can play, or go to an animal park/farm for her. Not doing a really big thing. I will make a number one cake though! I have bought the womens weekly cake book with numbers etc. OMG it is so close really isn't it when you think about it!!!
Liz - You will cope just fine when you are pregnant i am at the moment coming up 20 weeks, the hardest part was the first trimester. Taht was hard to be honest with you but i am fine now and have heaps of energy and going great guns! Somehow are bodies just cope with it. Make sure you DH is supportive and helps as well cause i would have been exhausted if DH didn't at least help a little bit. LOL
Emz - Yeah for the bannana!!! A HUGE CLAP so cute isn't it when they are so proud of themselves. Tayneesha has a morning sleep usually for an 1hr and then an afternoon sleep for an hour or two depends she sometimes has a long one in the morn and a short one in the arvo. Morning slep is about 10-10.30am and afternoon is about 2.00 -2.30pm if that helps.
Any other ideas of what i could give Tayneesha as finger foods as i am stuck on that one, she has toast fingers, cruskits, saos, arrowroot biscuits etc any other ideas. Fruit she will not have???? Only mashed or pureed!!! BOO HOO!
Anyway must be off, going to do some shopping for new baby, research really on prices and bargains IUKWIM!!!!

Ok girls, i feel has though time either stands still or flies by at a zillion miles an hour. ATM its the later one.
Didn't get back in last night as Liam was irritable and a complete basket case from about 6ish. He had about half an hours sleep that morning and then would not settle. He has a small lump that is hard in the bottom of his gum kinda where your tongue joins IYKWIM that over the last few days has gotten bigger. I was worried it was a tooth growing in the wrong place. I gave in at 7 or so and gave him panadol after he didn't really eat dinner, i even tried an early b/f but that didn't work either. So by 9.30 i had had enough and called GP access (after hours Dr at the hospital) and got an appointment for 10.12pm. Got down there and he started chatting to everyone and then have a hissy fit and then be fine again. This went on for about half an hour. The Dr saw him and said he was fine- thought he might be teething early?!?!?! he is 11 months!!!Hello!!! and said it felt like a tooth mooving up but where it is i highly doubt it. He didn't even bother to check his ears for infection as i mentioned he had been shoving his thumb in and wriggling it about. He did say that a mothers intuition is usually right so if it persisted over the next few days to go to normal gp. Problem being he was filling in for my GP so that idea seemed useless. So we get home at 11 and he still wouldn't b/f properly and stayed awake till 12.45am. Today he seems ok, not eating as much as usual, or sleeping as long and a little sooky but much more bearable.
Anyway, today he did 20 steps behind the walker...i missed it, he was at a friends and i had just ducked home to get something (all of 20meters) she got out the video camera and was taping the next attempt, however it was not as good but he did do it a few other times that i saw. This morning he stood unaided in of all places our bed for a good 8-10 seconds a few times and then later on on the floor once for 15 seconds. He doesn't realise he is doing it though as he starts to look at something or holds something and gets distracted and when he realises he sits down or holds back on. He has mastered the stairs also, just not going down. He tried today to go forwards needless to say i was not impressed.
As for his birthday, i feel as though i need to match it with Brads with immediate family and close friends. I think we had about 25 adults and a few kids at Brads so i guess it will be the same except now there are more kids. I have the cake planned...i love decorating/designing!!!! I think i know what we will buy him but he really doesn't need much seeing as though xmas has just been and we have toys and clothes from Brad.
We almost have a house slab. It is ready to be done once the footings and pre slab is approved/certified.
I have my perm. work days now so that will put some routine back into things which will be good as school starts next week.
ok time to feed Liam and put him to bed, i think Brad can go too its way past his bedtime.

Kas - poor Liam, doesn't sound like he had a good day at all. Did you figure out what the lump was? Sounds bizarre. Yay on the walking and the standing!! Won't be long until he's tearing around under his own steam!! Who knows how they figure out stairs? Lucy can go up and down if it isn't too steep.
Jen - Lucy tries to pick up everything, finger food or not! She has basically what you've described and fruit. If Tayneesha likes berries in the net thing then she'll probably eat them whole if they're soft. Look out for the mess though! She also likes to pick up pasta and ccoked vegetables. Sandwiches are a favourite for her. Just wholemeal bread with avocado on it cut into quarters. Most of the things I give her end up on the floor at least once, I just pick them up, dust them off and if they're okay I give them back to her. I figure since she's crawling around and sticking things in her mouth it won't make much difference if her food was on the floor for an instant. Wow, I can't believe you're half way through your pg already!!
Must go, Lucy is down for a nap and I have some work to do for DP.
