Hi girls
Just popping in quickly to say hello.
Kaz - we are thinking of having one or two more, but not for a while yet. I was only just 29 when I had DD and we fell pg by accident, so don't think it'll be too much trouble to go for another. We're planning on waiting until DD is at least 4, so about 18 mths before we'll have a chat about TTC (I'll be 33). I'm hoping to get DD off to school in time for me to be 1-on-1 with the next as much as I can be. I can't really stop working and it's a bit tricky to juggle two at once. We'd always figured we'd wait that long anyway, just to spend as much time as we can with each on their own. If we get to our late 30s and decide we want one more, then so be it! But we'll have to wait and see...
I hope you get the news you want since you are TTC!
Kas - ummm.. not sure on the trampoline thing. I think it's a Xmas Eve put together job, though. Bit hard to transport once it's up! And we saw in the DJs windows in the city that Santa has special magic powers that shrink the presents so they all fit on the sleigh and then they get big once they're delivered (clever Santa, huh). So that would explain how it got to you! Perhaps Santa's little elves even helped put it all together.
Almost done with the Xmas shopping here. And we just got word from our real estate agent last week that they won't be renewing our lease after the end of March next year as they're going to have the house demolished. So we'll be house hunting in a few months. Not such a bad deal, we were kind of tossing up with doing so anyway and this at least makes that decision for us. We'll probably have until the middle of the year, they haven't even got DA from council yet.
Anyhoo, must go and tidy the house and wrap some pressies!

Hey Kas, I can understand where you are coming from in relation to having the same sex. We are not phased to get another girl if that happens, and just quietly, would prefer it considering we have everything that we need for a girl! What will be will be. We just want a little family of 3, but I have a sneaking suspicion we will end up with 4? Dont know why, but I just think that is the cards I will be dealt. Will probably have another and just as I am about to turn 40 or something, decide I want one more. Haha, that would be typical of me!
Jen, you are so lucky to have time on your side. I was a late starter, sigh. My sisters and I are all 4 years apart. Its not so bad actually. What do you do for work?
Still cramping, added to that really sore lower back and boobs that are killing me, especially every time one of the kids jump on me. OUch. Not pregnant though, at least that is what the tests are saying. FInd out in about a week I guess.
Not much else going on with me. I am surviving on very little sleep today. Tay has been up most of the night, she is cutitng her eye teeth and sleeping was the last thing she wanted to do. Bruno is away, so I get to cope with it all by myself, yay. I will be a basket case by the end of the week. Plus she bit my finger when I was putting teething gel on her last night and cut my skin and I have been bleeding. Not sure what to do about this biting? Its getting out of control.
Hope you are all well.

Hi girls
We also aren't really bothered what sex we have when we have our next child. We think that DD would love to have a sister and if we had a boy, DP would have a playmate! So either way it's a win. DP really wanted a girl when we were pg with DD, so I guess that's the only real preference we've had. Funny though, we always thought we'd have boys! This is DP's first exposure to the world of pink and ribbons, he has one brother and grew up in such a male environment. Totally opposite for me, I have two younger sisters so would be totally at sea if I had a boy next!
I go in tomorrow to have my oral surgery for a tooth implant. They drill a titanium rod into my jaw where I have a missing tooth. It's only done in the dentist chair, but I believe I'll be a bit dribbly for the rest of the day and a bit sore as well. Hoping it isn't too bad - although no steak for a few weeks! The crown goes on next year. More ouchie on the wallet than the mouth though, can't believe how expensive it is! At least it lasts for life. It's a congenital missing tooth, I'm 'missing' (as in, they aren't there but there isn't any room for them) about four adult teeth in total (plus I still have three baby teeth, but they're okay to stay). I counted Lucy's teeth the other day (dentist said she should have 10 on top and 10 on bottom) and I can only count 8 for both top and bottom. *sigh* So I'm guessing she has the same type of jaw and teeth as me and it's going to cost us a fortune when she's a teenager...
At least I'll still be able to type!
-
Jen ... here's sending you good vibes and a speedy recovery for your tooth implant. Ouch! I am back for 2 fillings monday, and I remember why I had the dentist so much. Worst thing having someone stick needles and drill in your mouth!
Tay slept through for the first time in over a week last night, yay . You wouldnt believe it though, last night I suffered from insomnia. Last time I looked at the clock it was 4am ... so not happy. Definately be having an afternoon sleep today!
Anyway better go. I have been on a cleaning frenzy last night and it looks set to continue today. I have a mountain of clothes to put away and some dusting to do before my parents get here tomorrow! What is it about cleaning when your mum comes? Haha.
Chat later girls xx

Where are you Kas and Jen??
Here is an update .... this is the first chance I have had to post, I have been so busy its not funny. My parents have been here since last week and they went home yesterday. I am a bit of a taxi service at the moment, I dropped them at the airport and picked Bruno up. I am so glad to have him home, no more Sydney trips until next year fingers crossed. He is over it as well. We went for dinner in Essendon on the way home, as it was our wedding anniversary. The food was great, the waiters not so great. One of the them smelt really bad, the other one knocked over the wines glasses on our table twice! I said to my dh at least it will be memorable. My kids love pasta ... so it was no surprise we chose an italian restaurant.
Our weekend away was great. We went into the motel at around 2pm and spent some time in the bath just chatting. Never get to do that. We went to dinner and that was a little disappointing. I think we left the Christmas Party around 11 and went to the casino with the intention of seeing a movie. BUt after walking around decided to just go home and sleep! What was amazing was the amount of people at the casino at that hour with babies and toddlers?! It was 12.30 when we left and people had kids everywhere we turned.
We come home Sunday and I took Mia to a birthday party for a while, as we had to get ready for the Wiggles! We got organised, dropped my parents at the casino and made our way to Rod Laver arena, only to discover we had the wrong weekend and day! Yes all my fault for not checking the tickets. Everyone has had a great laugh at my expense haha!
Other than that, not much else is new. We put the kids to bed last night and I had prepared our bedroom with candles, rose petals and little glittery love hearts. It looked great, so nice that my dh took photos! I will post them on facebook when I get a chance. We had a nice night eating icecream in bed and chatting, oh and other things I cant mention
Is it really bad to copy some of my other post and post in here to fill you all in on what is going on with us? Sorry if it is! SO much to retype.
Hope you are both well!

Hi girls.. long time no post :)
We are nearly toilet trained here! Started on Thursday, and he's been fantastic. i've actually got another thread with more detail, but basically, he was sooo ready, it's been really easy. He's taking himself to the loo for both 1's and 2's, earning stars & chocolates along the way! hehe.
Jen - just saw your post about your teeth. I have two teeth that were nearly congenitally missing, dentist called them peg teeth - very narrow peggy teeth heh. The top 4 front teeth (inclding the peg teeth) are now all built up with caps. i had really gappy teeth, and small teeth, so they figured instead of surgery to close the gaps, they'd just make my teeth bigger! heh. I also have no wisdom teeth.. which is a good thing coz I don't have room (and neither do most people anyway). I tell people I'm one step ahead of everyone on the evolutionary chain ;) Hope your implant goes well, DH & I were talking about that just the other day when my tooth was falling apart (having root canal at the moment and 1/2 my tooth fell off LOL.. well.. think it was actually all the filling coming away.. but still.. not much tooth left!). Dental work is really expensive. So far my kids look like they have great teeth - straight even!
Hope you are all well, I do occassionally pop in here and have a read, just really slack posting.
-
hi girls, and wb liz!
so much has been happening with me its not funny. you guys know we were ttc, well we found out about a week and a half ago we had succeeded and then i miscarried last tuesday. they think that i had an eptopic pregnancy the way my hcg levels had been rising so it may have been a blessing in disguise. doesnt make it any easier though. have spent a lot of time in hospital the day it happened and again christmas day.
added to that fact my mum had a meltdown over christmas and had me in tears and wanting to pack up and leave. things are better now and none of us really know what any of it was about. next year i think we will stay in melbourne and have our own drama free christmas!
facebook sounds great kas ... you will find me under karen valenta and my profile pic is a really daggy 80's pick of me with black hair and my husband with a blonde mullet! my sisters fancy dress 30th!
anyway girls, happy new year! hope that 2009 bring you lots of love and happiness.
ps where is jen? :( hope that all is ok.

Hi girls
Happy New Year!
I haven't been far, just stopped work on the 19th and didn't get on much at all over Xmas, then we went away for a little while. Beautiful holiday and facing the reality of work, home, etc now!
Kaz - what a terrible thing to happen over Xmas. And to lose a baby you wanted, no matter what the circumstances is heartbreaking. Sorry to hear Xmas was stressful for you, sounds like a quiet one next year might be a plan. We only had the three of us for Xmas lunch, MIL came around for a little while in the morning to play with Lucy and give her a present, but all-in-all it was very quiet and pleasant! Nice change for us too...
Kas - I'm on facebook too. PM me your details, or find me under the BB group. I'll go look for you now Kaz.
Liz - glad to hear TT has gone well. Lucy is very good now and won't let us take her. She firmly shuts the door when she goes in so I just keep a watchful ear out to see if she needs help after she's done... Miss Independent! She even managed to hold on during our loooong trip home when she needed to do a #2 for about half an hour when there were no toilets. We have tried nap and night times and she can make it through the night without too much of a problem, but nap times are a bit hit and miss.
I only have two wisdom teeth where there is room for them, so at least no dramas there. It's all healed really well and I'm looking forward to April when I can have the whole thing completed! I can't believe Kayla is already one, where has the time gone??
Other than our great holiday in Coffs Harbour, we haven't done anything particularly exciting. We've had a talk about another baby and both agree that next year might be the time to TTC#2.
And Kaz, isn't it odd the way things work, but since I've been pushing and pushing for DP to ring his brother and make up after he got engaged (semi-successfully, DP agreed he wanted to do it, but didn't get 'around' to it ) we found out after Xmas from FIL that his brother's fiancee is pg! It's a big secret :shhh: as they're only 6 wks now. So DP finally rang his brother to congratulate him and is now going to have them over to catch up. They'll both ignore whatever issues they've had that have meant they haven't spoken for 2 1/2 years (with each other anyway) and I'm sure it isn't going to be smooth sailing, but at least it's a start. I told him about your BIL and that did have an effect on him. Baby is due in August and they're planning on getting married in April or May (I think). We aren't sure whether MIL knows but I'm really hoping that DP and his brother get along well enough to stop her getting in between them. She's going to be unbearable and I'm sure it'll bring back memories of what she was like when we were pg. Argh! I'll try not to think about it. I'm encouraging him to put his relationship with his brother out of bounds to his Mum. This is where all the problems started in the first place.
Still, I'm really excited that Lucy is going to have her very first cousin!!!
My cousin also gave birth to a baby girl Olivia Rose on 31 Dec. They have a DD just a few months older than Lucy, so it's another girl for Lucy to play with when we visit all the relatives in Vic!
Hope everyone is well. I'm lined up for a few busy months at work, but will pop in as often as I can.
-
Hi girls,
Sounds as though everyone has been busy.
Kaz - I am sorry for the loss of your little one. I can only imagine how you are feeling. And to have xmas dramas on top of that is just not fair.
Jen- it sounds as though you had a lovely time on holidays. Good on your DP for trying to fix the gap with his brother. It may be difficult and awkward (?sp) at first but if the two of them want to fix their relationship I am sure they will give it their all. I PM you my details for FB. Oh and i couldn't find a BB group on there!?!?
We had a busy Christmas with both sides of the family here. It is going to take us at least another 2 or 3 recycling garbage weeks to get rid of all the paper and cardboard. The trampoline was a huge success and DH already had half done when i got home from work at lunch time on xmas eve.
For the first time eva DH was on holidays for brads birthday, xmas and new years , so it was great, usually he ends up working at least one of them.
TT for Liam is still a play it day by day thing here. He can be good for the morning or afternoon for several hours then looses concentration i guess. We have a few good days then back to constantly wet undies/pants and wanting nappies. I am not going to push as he is far to head strong and will only retaliate more. I am still hopefull he will get into preschool once he turns 3. I am not sure if i told you what has been going on there so the short version is - there is a new director who is not that nice apparently (lots of friends have their littlies go there or their older children have been there) who is telling me that there is no room for him and if there was i couldn't get a spot until he is 3 anyway (2nd week back into term). She didn't send a letter saying he didnt get a spot but in turn also wont say if there is one waiting for him. My friends spoke to a few of the teachers who said that she was being rude and silly. One of them checked the roll and reckons there will be no problem getting him in. So back to the TT. He will need to be mostly TT to start, even if in pull ups. Moving on......my friend said at the end of year concert she noticed a little boy in nappies. When she questioned it she was told he was 2.5yrs and would be away for the first 2 terms of this year, so was going early, like before he was 3. They are paying to hold this childs spot the whole 2 terms which i understand (if they have the $ to do that, so be it!). The double standards just frustrate me. What is good for one to start early should be good for evetyone. Done.
Hi Liz, well done with the TT. I hope all your family is well.
Anyways i will head off and look for you on face book.
As always, take care and hears hoping 2009 brings great things for all of us.
-
Jen - I am so glad you are back! I missed our catchups over the festive period. Its great to hear that your dh and bil are making progress with getting their relationship back on track, and yes, keep the mil out of it or else you will be back to square one. Trust me I know. We havent had anymore progress in that department. We havent heard from them since the funeral, I talked to my bil's girlfriend and she said we should go see them but they never follow through and we have been down that track before. They seem keen and always have an excuse to why they need to cancel. Its really sad, I thought that the loss of their baby might have changed things, but it doesnt seem so and I cant really see things ever being repaired. Mil started calling all of the time again and my dh told her that she needs to apologise and get help before we can have any kind of relationship. She is quite happy to sweep things under the carpet, even going so far as to say how is karen and the girls, they are the most important? wtf ... she is a fruit loop considering I am the one she has been blaming for everything! Anyway, I really dont stress about them anymore, I dont have the time and energy. She knows where we are when she can admit her wrong doing!
Kas - what a great dh you have for getting a jump start on the trampoline. It sounds like you had a busy christmas and I hear you about the recylcing and rubbish. It was the topic of conversation for my parents the whole time we were there after christmas. Its funny how older people stress about the littlest things. I kind of realised just how retired and bored my dad must be when he got a small scrubbing brush out to brush the bugs off of his headlights of the car!
Liz - dont be a stranger! Another one to our small March group would be great!
So I am going to be really slack and copy and paste my catchup to you all .... I didnt want to retype everything again and I just wanted to tell you all the same thing! Slack I know!
So ........... all ok this end. Took the girls to the doctors last night, Mia is ok. Apart from a tummy bug! I have her in nappies, because she hasnt done a pooh on the potty yet and because she is doing so many and they are not solid, I dont fancy cleaning them up! Hopefully she gets better soon as she has nappy rash .. ouch!
Tay has tonsilitis and has also started with the pooh's today. Poor little thing, she was out of sorts yesterday and grabbing at her neck so I suspected. When the doctor shone the light in I couldnt believe how bad they were, puss and all. So she is on antibiotics, but also seems a little brighter today which fingers crossed continues!
I am ok, had the belly upset as well. But its easier for me to cope than the kids. We have been talking about trying again for a baby and from what we have been told you should try when you feel ready physcologically. I feel ok about it all. You definately have the niggling feeling that it will happen again, which is the biggest put off. I think I will go through my cycle and then we will talk about it again! I would really love to have a baby before christmas this year, because I dont fancy having a summer baby! Been there and done that with Mia, its horrible being big, pregnant and uncomfortable in the heat!
Anyway girls, I really should clean up some toys. We are house hunting and on my wish list is a play room for the girls. I am over sharing my loungeroom with the toys that just keep multiplying!
Hope you are all well girls ... and have happy and co-operative 2 years olds!
Chat soon, K x

Well I'm practically a stranger in here now so I will start with saying hi my name is Steph and I am almost 25. My husband is Tony and he is 30. We have 3 sons, DS1 will be 6 in July and starts prep this year. He is diagnosed Autistic. DS2 is almost 4 and also diagnosed Autistic. DS1 is high functioning which means he can speak (3 years behind his age), and his behaviours can be modified. DS2 is classed as low functioning where there is no speech, no communication, no eye contact, no toilet training, a lot of classic Autiistic traits and behaviour modification usually doesn't work. He goes to a special early intervention school 3 times a week for 2.5 hour sessions to try to help his speech and general communication and his behaviours. That brings me to my DS3, who was born around the same time as many of your babies and actually the same day as Jen13's Lucy and Liz's Tallon. So far it looks like he will be clear of Autism but won't be formally assessed until mid 2009. He does show some traits but they may all be copy cat traits fro his brothers. He will likely just be diagnosed Speech and language Impaired (SLI) because he is roughly a year behind in his speech which is understandable since one brother has no speech and the other is behind so much. Basically they are very happy and funny children :D and they are a joy to be around. I have been very lucky in the regard that both my ASD children (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) show affection, it might be on their terms only but at least it happens unlike a lot of other ASD kids who don't show any affection. I have been offline since the end of August when my internet crashed and it just didn't want to get back up and running! Finally I ditched the ISP :dance:and signed up with someone else. Well thats all from me today, I really look forward to getting up to date with everyone and getting to know you all again!
-
Welcome back Steph, you sound like a bit of a breath of fresh air. You seem to have lots of challenges happening in your life ... but, in saying that you sound happy and extremely grateful for your beautiful, loving little family surrounding you. I have always wondered what it would be like to be surrounded by all boys? I have two girls, so its just my poor husband Bruno and the dog the fly the male flag in my family. Maybe if and when no 3 comes along, you never know, we could get a boy ... but will be just as happy with another girl.
So, can I ask ... is the autism something genetic?
Look forward to hearing more from you and Kas and Jen if they are around!?
-
Hi girls
Steph - great to hear from you! Have wondered how you're going. Sounds like you're really busy with the boys. I found an old friend I hadn't seen in about 10 years a couple of months ago and she has twin 3 year old boys now. One of them has autism, doesn't speak really (but can, if that makes any sense), also isn't TT and has a lot of issues with new situations and going from one situation to another. But like your boys he's very loving towards his family. It's really been an eye opener to talk to her about it in so much detail. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Hi Kaz. Hope the TTC journey goes well for you this year, after last year's unhappiness.
We are all well. I'm supposed to be working now, so probably should be off. Lucy went back to preschool this week and I love her new teacher. She keeps telling me she's a big girl now because she's in the red room and not the blue room anymore!
-
Hi Jen, Kas and Steph, I actually started to write a nice and long post last night and then my computer crashed ... so I gave up! How are you all? Its been quiet in here, so I thought I had better do something about that!
Bruno got home last night, after being away in Brisbane since Monday. Gosh its hard not having him here and he is working on doing something about that. The girls really struggle, especially Mia at the moment. Virgin moved the flight last night and then cancelled it, and then they had nothing else to offer. So it was looking like another night in Brisbane. Qantas rang him with 15 mins to spare saying they had a seat and then took off without him anyway! Luckily they got him on the next flight and he got home at 9.30 last night. I kept the girls up, they were so excited and we had a very late dinner of pizza, they had eaten earlier but didnt hesitate in digging into seconds! I think as a result of having Bruno home I have two happy girls this morning!
Mia's toilet training is all over the place. Last week she was pretty much in knickers all of the time and this week she is refusing to wear them again and telling me the potty is broken! She even did two poohs on the potty last week when I wasnt aware of it, seems to get shy about it! So I guess Ijust have to keep persisting with her.
Tay is going well. She is a real chatterbox now and copies everything we say. Or attempts to. Still not walking but she is standing up from a sitting position and walking behind a walker now. So she might be around the same time frame as her sister and walk at 18 months I think.
In other news, we are moving. We have a bigger house and a toy room (rumpus room). I am so stoked and so happy to not have to share my loungeroom with the kids toys! This room we can shut off and forget about the toys and mess! Great!
Anyway I had better go. Someone has done a stinky ... no rest for the wicked!
Chat soon and hope you are all well xx

Hi girls i am still here just trying to get organised for back to school tomorrow.
We went camping over the long weekend and it was up to 42 degrees a few days and then constsnt rain for the next so i have lots of washing i need to do.
I will try to get back in here over the next few days and catch up once our normal school routine in back in force and i am unoacked and washed etc.
Welcome back Steph :D
See you all soon
-
Hi girls, I guess you are all enjoying the heat as much as me ... not! We are moving on the weekend and I am just hoping that the house is cooler than the one we are in now. It has been like living in a furnace and has been 35 in here on the 40+ days. When we went to look at the house it was high 30's and had been for a couple of days, but it was actually nice and cool in there. Its going to be 43 on Saturday, so Bruno and his mate are going to move the big stuff at night. I am over summer!
Other than that not much news really. I see that the 3rd birthdays are starting soon with your family Kas. I cant believe they are going to be 3 this year. Are you having a birthday party?
I am considering a macca's party this year, but we will see.
I had a bit of a scare when I found some lumps in my breast last week. The ultrasound didnt show anything, and they are sending me to a specialist to be safer than sorry. She said there is like a 1 in a million chance of it being anything since it didnt come up on the scan. They said it could be hormonal, because of the miscarriage and the fact that I havent had a period since.
So in saying that, I am not utd. We have been trying half heartedly. It would be nice if it happened this month. A late November baby or early December would be perfect timing for us and my family with the birthdays! I cant believe I am trying to work out a time when its not everyone else's birthday! But seriously, October and November are nightmare months birthday wise for us!
Anyway I better go and pack! Not that I feel like it. Its going to be 30 today and is 24 inside now. It feel hotter for some reason. Might go have a shower to cool down a bit me thinks!
Hope that you are all well and keeping cool.

Hi girls
Can't chat long, working. Hope you are all well. I too can hardly believe it's been 3 years since the end of our pgs!
My bday next week and after that we'll be focusing on getting things ready for Lucy's. We're getting her a trampoline.
Good to hear from you, Kaz and Kas. I hope the lumps are nothing, as it sounds like they are, Kaz , and there's good news on the baby front soon.
-
hey girls, sorry i have been mia. so busy witht he move and the heat and the fires and just life in general. i think since we moved life has been a blur, as we have been glued to the tv regarding the fires and kind of living with everyones devastation. my heart is breaking for these people. we lost our house in ash wednesday, but these people are losing family and friends which is irreplacable. my heart goes out to them. we went out for dinner saturday night and i was so scared as we drove out of our street and seen this massive fire up the hill. it was so close, but luckily for us it was heading in the other direction. at dinner all we heard and see weere fire trucks going up to that fire and in the other direction. it was so scary. to see the pictures of the fires up kingslake are and how fierce it was blows me away.
other than that, life has been busy. getting the kids settled into a new house has been ok. i guess the main thing is to get things as normal as possible for them as soon as possible. mia has coped well. tay is a bit funny and clingy. but she is still little and its harder for her to understand. mia cries when we had to go back to our unit that she wants her new house, so that is a good sign!
no news on the baby front, i am yet to have a cycle and i think its 45 days or something now since the miscarriage. they said i might not go back to normal for 6 months, so i am thinking whilst i am like this i wont conceive? i dont know how it all works. we are still trying though. i was thinking if i did fall i have no idea of dates, as i have no last period to go by?!
anyway kas hope school starting back has been good for you (free from nagging kids) i am sure it has!
jen - happy birthday for the other day! i hope that you got very spoilt and taken care of!
steph - hope you and your family are well xx
take care girls, k x

Hi Kaz
Glad to hear the move went well. Guess you'll be busy unpacking now for a little while. We are moving later in the year, so any tips on how you got Mia to adjust would be welcome!
As far as TTC goes, it is possible to conceive before you get your period, but you would need a dating scan to get an EDD. My cousin had a m/c before conceiving her DD1 and had no period in between. It only took her cycle just over a month to get back on track obviously, since she conceived not long after that. Every woman is different, so I hope it goes well for you.
We are well. DP and I both had a nasty throat bug that laid us low for over a week, but thankfully all better. Lucy was off-colour for 1 day, but no more than that. I think bfing a toddler still has its benefits - she is never sick for more than a day! She is starting to miss the odd morning bf, I'm thinking this might be a sign she is getting closer to dropping that bf altogether and weaning. I would like her to do this before the end of the year, although I'm leaving it up to her.
My bday is tomorrow - thanks for the early wishes Kaz! We're going out for dinner and a movie, I'm very excited!
I guess we're all thinking about our little ones' bdays then in a few weeks. Can't believe they're all turning 3... We're having a fancy dress party, no theme. My Mum is coming down to stay for the weekend of the party and Lucy is already excited about that.
None of my relatives have been affected by the fires in Vic, some do live just a little way north but so far, all okay. My heart goes out to some of the lovely girls on BB who haven't been so lucky, although thankfully they haven't lost any loved ones. I have tried talking to Lucy about it, but mostly it goes over her head atm. She does have some idea of death, but since it doesn't directly affect her it carries no emotion. We are talking about what you do if there is a fire though, and at preschool they had the fire truck visit last year to teach the kids the same thing. I hope they do it again soon.

OMG I feel sick. For years (yes coming up to 3 years now LOL) I've been meaning to go through the archives and pull out my posts to create some kind of journal for my pg with Tallon, and it's all gone. None of it's there.. and even our baby buddies has been culled.. the first few months are gone.
God, I feel like I've lost all my photos or something.
Please please tell me someone kept it!
-
Liz, I remembered to print out all of the belly buddies threads for my pg journal. I could fax you those (didn't keep them electronically, sorry).
I must go through and print out the baby buddies. I kept a diary for the first 8-9 mths so I'm hoping stuff from after that is still here!
-
Oh Jen you're my hero! I'll have to hook up the phoneline to the printer/fax and i'll send you my number :) Is it massive?
-
Hi Liz
PM me your fax number and a good time to fax it through. I can't remember, but there are definitely quite a few pages...
-
Jen - oops, bit early with the birthday wishes! Seriously am all over the shop lately, I dont know whether I am Arthur or Martha half of the time. Regardless, I hope that you had a great day! Did you get spoilt?
Kas - how have the kids settled back into school? I bet you are loving the peace and quiet!
Steph - I hope all is well with you?
Liz - I hope that you got all of your posts back that you wanted!
All is ok here, just thinking about what to do today. Thinking of going shopping. Havent done that in a long while.
Stil waiting for my AF to come back. Its over 7 weeks now and the doctor is testing me again for polycistic ovaries. I really feel pregnant again, all the symptoms, but a blood test said NO. Maybe its just 2 early. My doctor is talking medication etc, which I dont want to take unless I am 100% convinced that I am not pregnant. So the saga continues!
Tay has started walking, so cute. She is walking a lot and when she gets wobbly and falls she claps herself. We are all getting a big kick out of it, especially Mia. She thinks its great.
Mia is very excited about her birthday, and thinks she is going to be 2 again! She has told us she wants a DOra and Boots party. I didnt even know who Boots was, but Daddy did and informed me its Dora's monkey sidekick. I am not sure what we are doing for her party, maybe macca's for her little friends and a bbq for family and close friends at night. Still deciding! Has anyone else made plans?
Anyway I had better go and make some plans for today. Chat to you all soon!

i think the march bubba's group is well and truely kapoot!

Oh we're still around Kaz, but just getting sidetracked!
Lucy is almost able to wear undies at night time now and did so over our holiday last week, but it's all gone out the window now we're back home (go figure ). So we're back to pull-ups for a few days at least to see how she goes. I wonder if it may have been that we were staying somewhere warm and now we're back in the cold (and she was at kindy, so drinking more water while playing outside) that's just overloaded her bladder? Or perhaps it's just the disruption.
How are you doing, Kaz?
We had a lovely week away with friends at Easter (just DD and I, DP had to work). DD played with their kids the whole time and I barely saw her!). Made me want to expand my family. ;) Stay tuned in about six months...
-
Yeah im still here too, i don't get on here much.
We too holidayed at Easter. We went camping and it didn't even rain until we were packing up. Which was kind of ok but it was our first trip with the new camper trailer so it got a little wet but nothing too bad, we air dried it til the following night at it was good. Kids had a ball as usual. It is just near Tea Gardens / Hawknest about and hour and half north of newcastle, no facilities (well pit toilets and porta loos, but hubby invested in a camping toilet so that was good, he emptied it so im not complaing), a little beach on the river bank and endless space for the kids to ride bikes and run around. The easter bunny managed to find us, so that was a relief!
We also headed to sydney last friday and saturday with a family from school and went to the power house museum to see the star wars expo and then to the camping show on the saturday. It was great, although about 1/2 hour after we left i asked DH if he had packed the pram....Um no....so Liam got carried prob a 1/4 of the day at the museum and about 3/4 at the camping expo.....lets just say i am glad i had a massage booked in yesterday!!!
We then went to the movies on monday to see monsters v aliens and an indoor play centre yesterday. Today has been a cleaning and making cookies and cake day.
Other than that things are ok here. I went into hospital in mid march to have a D&C as i had a polyp and have been having horendous periods so while she was there i also had a Mirena fitted. I go back for a follow up on the 4th may. When i spoke to the receptionist a few days after she said the polyp was benign and Dr would discuss everything else at my check up so i guess i will wait to see what that is.
When DH was picking me up the day i was in hospital he had just been told by his mum she had breast cancer, she has since had one removed and got home a few days ago.
And just as DH's mum was going into hospital i found out my dad has an inoperable tumour in his lung behind his heart, they have said with treatment he has between 3-12 months:jawdrop::crying: needless to say ...not happy! He started Radiotherapy last friday and will have it every week day until the 4th may (the day i go back to Drs and my parents wedding anniversary) from there they will proceed with chemo to get what is in the blood stream. Hopefully the radio will help to shrink the tumour so it is a little easier to breath as it is constrickting the hair flow to his lung. So :crossfingers: and  happening here.
Ok i best go sort out dinner.

Oh Kas, about your MIL and your Dad. Sounds like you guys have a lot to deal with atm. I'm glad your issue was sorted and there's nothing to worry about there.
We're thinking of buying a block of land nearby where you camped! Still only land suitable for a caravan or for camping, but we thought the area was so nice it's worth taking it and risking not ever being able to build a holiday house there. (not very expensive with the current zoning).
Will BBL when I'm not supposed to be getting ready for work.
Is anyone else's child insisting that it's okay to wear summer dresses or shorts in this very much winter weather??!
-
Kas - so sorry to hear about your MIL and Dad. What a crappy time you are having of it at the moment. My thoughts and best wishes are with you all x
Jen - no Mia is pretty happy to let me dress her still, probably because the girls are dressed alike ... so that make it ok.
Mia's toilet training is going well ... never thought we would get there. She take herself off to the potty if I am not around and comes to me for the big girls toilet if I am. She is still in night nappies, which I dont think will change whilst she is still having a bottle to go to bed!
She has also having heaps of issues going to bed, as she is telling us and getting really upset that she is scared. We have been spraying the scary things, and that worked initially but not anymore. Has anyone gone through similar?
We also went away at easter to Mt Gambier which is where I am from. We housesit for my sister. Was a nice break. We are talking about another short break soon, but not sure where to go. My dh has started a new job, so no big holidays for us at the moment.
We are still trying for our 3rd baby. I didnt get an af until March from the m/c. My gynie was going to put me on clomid but wants to see if I get another one this month, due any day. She said to ttc for 4 months and if nothing happens, then she will reassess.
Thanks for messaging girls. I thought everyone has moved on!

Hi girls,
It has been ages since i checked in.
Where to start......
I hope you are all well and staying dry from this horrid weather.
We have just come back from a week in Perth for DH's bro's wedding. Brad was a page boy and looked very handsome and we dressed liam up as well - i have put a couple of photos on my facebook page. We did the touristy things so Brad had something to report in the journal he had to do for school.
Liam is/has been day toilet trained for about a month or 2 now, occasionally we get through the night dry and day sleeps are good too. He is very much the "why?" boy atm. Everything i ask him to do or tell him we will be doing i get the "WHY?" reply......kinda driving me nuts. But i am pretty sure Brad was the same for a while at this age.
DH's mum is going ok after her mastectomy and starts chemo next week. My dad on the other hand is not so lucky. After clearing out his windpipe of a small tumour just under 2 weeks ago and going home he has again been in hospital for a week now. Originally thought to be comlications from a combination of drugs but a full CT revealed a few days ago that the cancer is very agressive and has appeared in full force through his bowel and abdomem. The Dr was completely gobsmaked at the rate it has appeared and multiplied in a matter of a week to 10 days. They are unable at this point to get his pain managable....things are not looking good, so please keep him in your prayers.

Kaz good to hear from you and I seen your pictures of the wedding, you all looked great.
Out toilet training is going really well as well, but Mia still wears her night nappy. She still has a bottle to go to bed with, I know its bad and the health nurse told me 2. I am going to go cold turkey with the bottles for both girls soon, I just wanted to get over their illnesses.
Kaz I am really sorry to hear about your Dad. I definately will  things look up for you and your family soon.

Hi girls,
It is with much sadness that i say my Dad passed away on Friday 12 June. We had his funeral yesterday (mon 15.6.09) and followed out his wishes as he had planned. Although we wish he were still here with us we are greatful for the time we had with him but are also relieved he is no longer in pain and understand he had to go. I would like to thankyou all for your support and prayers over the last few months. xoxoxo

Oh Kas, I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your Dad. What a sad time it is for your family, as you wish him goodbye.
I hope all of the memories you have of him give you some comfort in the times ahead.
-
Kas my thoughts go out to you and your family. It is good to think of the special times that you got to spend with your dad, and I am sure that these memories will help you in dealing with your grief.
Just a little bit of news with us, we are finally pregnant! 6 months and finally we have a bun in the oven. We are having a dating scan on Saturday, as we are not sure of the dates. Will keep you posted.
PS Please do not mention anything on facebook as we haven't told many people!
Xx

Congrats Kaz on number 3 being on its way!! I hope you have a h&h pg.
-
Thanks, cannot believe it! I have to say that I am finding having a 3rd daunting now that I am pregnant! Before that I was super excited. I think reality has kicked in. But we will be fine ... how much harder can one more be?
-
Hi ladies,
Just thought i would poke my head in to say HI :hello:

Hi everybody!
Its been ages since I have come in and said hi to you all...How is everybody going?? Aren't the babies growing up so fast! They will be 4 in 6 months or so :( but I am sure they are all happy and healthy :D
Things are going great here with us!
DS1 (ASD) is going really well in Prep. His teacher says that he is the least of her worries which is really great to hear. Of course he has his moments where he is in trouble but what child doesn't? His speech has really improved, although he does have the ASD 'accent' but we love it.
DS2 (ASD) is 4 and a half now but still non-verbal. He has improved in his eye contact but it is sporadic (SP?). No toilet training yet but he has done one pee while sitting on there and he was so shocked to see what was happening! It was funny and made my heart soar to think that maybe he will one day be TT but he is a happy little boy. He has a lot of classic ASD traits but we are so used to them now and we love some of them. Some others like him wakingup and jumping on our heads are taking a little longer to get used to:p
DS3 Cailan! wow is he growing up so fast! I remember when we were all pregnant posting and chatting about our births and its nearly 4 years gone by! Cailan is a different kettle of fish again. He has been labelled Global Developmental Delay but the paed has told us it is only because of his having the ASD siblings and no one else to copy from. The boys have all gone/going through an early intervention program and we are very blessed to have one in our town. I can not recommend them enough to parents of children who are having a few problems. So far no ASD in Cailan although the paed said he will need to be watched carefully because he may develop learned autism but hopefully the early intervention will stop that.
I am a lot more positive this year! I am the librarian for the ASD support group and also run the coffee mornings for parents to have a casual meeting. We mainly speak on ASD issues but its really good just to chat with other mums who understand. I have been helping a few other mums whose little ones have just been diagnosed and I really love it. It helps me so much to help them. Its really rewarding and I am surprised at myself. It is doing wonders for my self confidence and self esteem and I never thought helping others could do that. Still on with my anti-depressants but I will have a reveiw in 6 months so I may be off them in another 9 months or so. Hubby has changed jobs and now managing the local Civic Video. He has been so blessed in his work, it is exciting. Enough about me though! Fill me in on all your news girls!
