Hi all, how are we? Well we had another good night last night. Grace was a bit restless in the evening, so I was a bit worried, then she slept until 4.30am when DH gave her the dummy and then she woke at 5.30am - i changed and fed her then she went back down until 9am. Fingers crossed for the same tonight as DH is at work. Have no idea why as I didn't do anything different to the other nights when she was awake. DH still reckons she was going through a growing spurt so who knows! Had mother's group again today. Really enjoy it. It feels like we are starting to form friendships now also which is nice. another good feed was had by all!
Cass - yay on the a/c.
Sarah - wow on ari liking the pumpkin. I think initially they suggest one feed per day and go up from there. Good luck with it all.
Cass - yay on a successful target shop. I was going to go to a smaller store but then stupidly thought that it was too far to drive. I wish I had now! Yay on moving Izzy to her own room.
Karina - that happens to me too after I have expressed! If it happens to soon afterwards and my supply hasn't replenished yet the I just give her the bottle. Annoying though.I haven't expressed for 2 weeks seeing that Grace has been a bit all over the place but if she continues to sleep through again I will go back to doing it at night again to keep that freezer supply going.
Little miss has just woken...time for a bath i think.

Caro, thanks for that. I was wondering what was going on!! However, family is first and I completely understand....poor bub!
Rachel, here's to another good night for you I hope!! They're funny huh, cos as soon as you think they've settled into a routine they go and change it on you!! lol. Must be keeping us on our toes and in training for when they're teenagers huh!
I've been trying for the past half hour while Oskar was asleep to add new pics and the stupid site won't allow me to!! Grrrrr!!!!!
I can't remember who said they added some new pics?? Was it you Cass?? Cos I tried to look on the day I saw the post but it was down for maintenance at the time and now I can't remember who it was and I want to have a look.... :)

Caro / Cass - Thanks for the support/advice~ It's so hard being in a situation that i can't fix, and being in a situation that is causing alot of stress on me and tim (a already frail relationship that is just on the mend) ... I love these boys like my own, and hate seeing them hurt... I had to pull Tim up the other day, because his youngest Noah (3) was getting very jealous of Izzy, he (noah) smacked her! Poor boys have had their world turned around, and it's taken a bit to adjust...
Caro - how did you deal with this situation "The other day whilst talking to locky, he told me and Tim that his mum isn't going to be his mum anymore, he said that Cassie (me) is... While i'm incredible happy that i have his love, i don't want to take his mums place" And have no idea how i was ment to deal with this situation?
Rachel - The smaller target shop was a great idea... :( I didn't like the idea of izzy in her own room, but it's growing on me, I think it is me more then izzy that is going to freak out... Plus my mind is even more at ease now i have the monitor, i was using it today while she slept in bed and i was out in lounge, and she was able to sleep for hours without me checking up on her every 5mins!
Cass - that might of been me :) have a look anyways, i put new ones up every couple of days...
Has anybody gone into target and seen the new summer poohbear clothes range! OMG it is just gorgeous! Some of the new born stuff was just ohhh so cute! I was just about to go mad buying it all, when my friend reminded me Izzy has ALOT of clothes already... hehe... But i might go get a few outfits for her many xmas outings :)
-
Phew, I was freaking out Caro!
Rachel _ I'm so pleased Grace has settled for you and I am so jealous of your mothers group :-( There are heaps of March babies around here I think I am just going to have to bite the bullet and invite them to my place (serious cleaning needs to be done by then :-) I haven't tried any more food with Ari as I am waiting to see how she poops as that will show if her digestive system is ready for it and she didn't really seem interested tonight. I'm thinking it was more a one off thing
Karina - I think Ari has a sixth sense about when I am expressing - it's like she knows someone is stealing her booby juice.

OMG you girls can talk! Well, I have some news....Nicholas is rolling over! Such a clever boy. He started yesterday, from his back to his tummy. He was getting so frustrated and was lifting his head up and really straining, then he would lift his legs up, and then he just fell over! At first I thought it was just a fluke, but he is doing it all the time now. It was really cute...the girls were playing with the microphone, so they decided to "interview" him about his exciting new achievement.I wish I was organised enough to have the video at hand, so hopeless. I did take pics though, so I will update them. Nic now weighs 6.7kgs, but I can't remember his length (what a crap mother I am!!)
I have just completed a babies/children first aid course. I would highly recommend doing this course! It was fantastic. The guy was a bit intense, but he made it really simple. I had actually done this same couse about 4 years ago through Jas' daycare, but the guy wasn't nearly as good as in this course. Anyway, I am now feeling very confident I could save someone, or at least not panic if something happened to one of the kids.
Cass - I went through a similar thing with Chloe a couple of years ago with her mum. She has called me mummy since she was only 4 or 5 I think, but I have always been positive about her relationship with her mother. It hasn't really been an issue yet, only when things happen and she has to come home, or she can't go and see her. I think it will come when she is older and starts to understand the situation a bit more. For now, she seems to just accept this is the way it is, she lives with us, I am her mummy (or Mama as she calls me now), her mother is also her mummy. She is a tricky one though as she really isn't very open with her feelings about it, so I think it will all come later on. Good luck, and I think the best thing you can do is just to love him, be consistent, and try not to overcompensate.
Caro - the girls loved the Fairies too! We also had hassles with parking and I was getting quite stressed that we were going to be late, but we weren't. Also had hassles with the bloody ticket machine, but at least it wasn't raining!
I can't remember what everyone else has said now! I am so tired that I keep typing words the wrong way around. It is not even that I am not getting enough sleep because of Nicholas either! I just keep staying up late. I think it is because my DH is a night owl, and I like to sit up with him, but I just get so tired! On that noe, I am off to bed.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Jo, how exciting about Nic rolling! Clever boy! Claire is able to roll from tum to back but not from back to tum. I can see her trying and she seems to get so frustrated that she cant do it! Oooh some of the mums in my mums group were talking about doing a childrens first aid course. I've done a regular first aid course, but we didnt do very many children specific things in it.
I made a new photo website and put lots of photos onto it. Link in my signature.
Went out today with hubby and Claire to a kebab shop near where we used to live. We used to go there heaps (best kebabs I have ever had, lol). We havent been there for like 18 months and the guy still recognised us!
Hoping for a decent sleep tonight. Claire has been cranky but she is sleeping now. We've started wrapping her again as she startles and wakes herself up.
-
Caro - I know! I was very shocked to see him hit her!
Agree to keeping to positive~ Tim is trying to get her to change her mind about giving him over, he wants her to spend more quality time with lochy... But i don't agree, but keeping my mouth shut atm...
Jo - I get the "You not my mother" when he's getting in trouble... And even tho that line is true, it still hurts! Keeping things positive seems to be the way to go!
Izzy's Stats as of 11/07/07 is
Weight 7.02kgs
Length 67cm
head C. 41cm
Her birth stats were 17/03/07
Weight 3.8kgs
Length 55cm
head C. 35cm

Hi girls...i'm in a bad mood tonight. A top that i was given for my birthday got a hole in it when i was handwashing it the other day so I had it on an airer to dry and then my mum was going to take it back. The airer was in the bathroom tonight after Grace's bath the stupid cat urinated onto it - i am so angry . So now I am having to rewash it and try and get cats wee out of it before I can return it. Then to top that off I only just finished my dinner as Grace has been really unsettled this evening and keeps waking up. I really mustn't go to bed so late tonight. I've also hurt my back and I don't know what i've done, everytime i move it is really painful so it has been fantastic!!! Sorry about that, needed to have a bit of a whinge.
I spoke too soon last night with Grace's sleeping being back to normal. She woke at 11pm for dummy then went back to sleep for 30mins, then woke for dummy again and went back to sleep till eventually the periods of sleep were getting shorter and shorter so at 1am I fed her and then she went to sleep until 7am. Again, didn't do anything different last night to the night before, so I have no idea what's going on.
Jo - WTG Nick - that is very exciting. Grace still hasn't done it again since the 8th of July. She'll do it again one of these days i'm sure. Glad you found the course beneficial. The girls in my mother's group were going to organise one but somehow I have been talked into doing it for them. I don't mind, I have told them that it won't replace a proper course but they are happy with that as they just want the info. Can I ask you what topics were covered? It's also a good refresher for me - it feels like forever since I have looked after a patient that I definitely need some refreshing!
Sarah - what are you looking for with the poo to determine if her digestive system is ready? Is it the consistency or the smell?
Karina - haven't had a chance to look at your photo's yet but I will get there at some stage
Going to my sister's for a late lunch tomorrow afternoon (this gives DH time to have a sleep when he gets home from work). Will be nice, it is our first official invite for a meal to their place!
 for a good night for everyone. Night night.
-
Rachel, sorry to hear you had a crappy day. Hope you get a good nights sleep and tomorrow turns out to be a better day for you. Ouchy about your back - get your hubby to give you a back rub!!! lol.
-
Karina - i would except he is working tonight :(. Thanks, I'm going to head off to bed soon. Hope you have a good night too.

Rachel – We covered resuscitation, burns, allergies, bleeding, choking and bites. It was great, and while it was a baby/child course, it also covered adult CPR. Really, he went over everything, and then said “do this for a baby/child – do this for an adult.” I hope you back gets better. I hate back pain! I have lived with it since I was about 13 after a horse riding accident.
Caro – I thought the Fairies were great. It didn’t go for long, but I suppose little kids can’t really sit for that long can they? I haven’t seen the Wiggles, but we have been to Hi-5 twice. The girls both loved Hi-5, and danced up a storm. Jas still loves Hi-5, and watches their dvd’s.
Hi everyone else….sorry, I haven’t got time to do personals tonight, too tired!
xx

Rachel.. that sucks about your top!! Speaking of cats urinating... I'm sooooo angry with our cat at the moment that I could lock him up for days right now! Yesterday afternoon I said to Andy I really want to sort our spare room out as it's still full of crap from when we moved! So, we started to get into it when the cat came in and jumped up on the bed and right in front of me sat on a couple of jackets .... that's fine but then I hear this pssssss sound and OMG HE'S PEEING!! I yell at him, he jumps off and runs away from us cos HE KNOWS he's in trouble. I have no idea why he did this. He did it on Joshua's bed in about January... so it's not to do with Oskar but I tell you I am still fuming at him about it. Anyway.... at least we've cleared the room out and have started painting it before we move the furniture around in there to make it look better. Claire looks absolutely gorgeous in the pic where she's in the (is it red?) outfit with the flower on the front! I love it!
Jo.... OMG!! How cool Nic is rolling over! Oskar can get his legs going but not the top half to follow through yet. I'm not in a hurry though...lol.
Caro, Michael is certainly going strong these days huh!! That's so fantastic to see my other little man doing so well ;) lol
We went shopping yesterday to Target. Got a high chair for half price and a baby gate for half price!! If we like the gate I'll get another one later this week as it's a great price of $35! We need at least 3 gates in this house! We also bought Oskar's carseat cos he's been in a capsule. Got 10% off for a Safe n Sound Meridian. So lots of money spent but got great prices so I was happy with that. :D
I added some new pics today... finally the site was working!!! Going to go and make carrot cake now... YUMBO MUMBO!! Big  n kisses to all you beautiful mums n bubs!!!

Evening girls, just popping in to say hi.
Jomarie - that course sounds fab, yeah for nick on the rolling!
Rachel - grr on your day, hope it gets better. Hope Grace settles better for you. Thats what Ari is like every night so let me know if you figure it out
Cass- hope your carrot cake went down well. Got to go back to target to get some more stuff

Hi there,
we think Claire might be teething. She was more cranky than usual today for a little while, and we saw some white spot on her gums which we think might be a tooth starting. She is also chomping on absolutely everything she can get into her mouth. Put some Bonjela on her gum and she licked it all off but was much happier after that. Hubby went to the chemist and got some Brauer teething relief too, and will use it if it seems to be bothering her more because its apparently 'natural' and I'd prefer to use the natural stuff before other stuff.
-
Hi everyone, just popped on to see what I can do to increase my milk supply as S doesn't seem to like formula :(
Back to school tomorrow! Wish me luck! Will get on again when I can to catch up with you all

Bec, I was once told raspberry leaf tablets/tea may also increase your supply. I think the natropath in some dodgy little store near my work told me that. Apparently Aktavite is good too, although I dont really feel that it worked for me. It is tasty though. Hope work goes well tomorrow, good luck!
Woohoo Claire rolled today, twice! It was so cute to see her finally do it. She has been trying for a few weeks and finally did it today!
Also tried out our new stroller today. Its much more upright than the pram, but Claire can almost sit up on her own so I just strapped her in and she seemed to enjoy it. Silly me though.. I put it up and strapped her into it before going downstairs, so I ended up having to life the whole thing with her in it and carrying it downstairs. Lucky its only about 6kg plus her 5.5kg. Only thing it hasnt got is a window on the shade thing on the top, but I can live with that.
Also found out that my cousin is pregnant. She has two boys already and desperately wants a little girl... we reckon she'll have another boy though!
Oh my work called me today and asked when I am coming back to work. I told them I want to extend my maternity leave and have a full year off. I just cant leave Claire yet, and anyway, I havent got childcare yet so cant go back to my job.
Finally got a book I ordered - it had to come from USA but the silly postal people sent it to Thailand so it took extra time to get here. How do you mix up Australia and Thailand!!
-
Sarah, carrot cake was soooo yummy!! It's almost finished but only cos I've been making myself NOT eat it all!! How are Xander and Ari feeling now? You feeling better yourself??
Bec, sorry I can't help with that query. I hope something works for you and good luck with work!!
Karina, I'm soooo with you! I can't leave Oskar yet, I can't actually even bear the thought of it. I love being with him way too much. WOOOHOOOOOOO Claire!! You clever little munchkin! I love how they look so proud of themselves once the work out how to actually do something. So cute.
Well mum got back from Cambodia yesterday. She called me this morning. She wanted to know when I go shopping so she can babysit...lol. I'm like... well I am still BF so he comes with me. Anyway, I haven't left him for more than 10 mins so far and that was with Andy... so I can't see me agreeing to leave him for more than that anyway! Today... isn't too good of a day healthwise for me so I had a cry this morning. I feel so bad sometimes though.. last night I watched the thing on the ABC about Belinda Emmett .. it was beautiful but also really made me think more about how what I have to deal with is nowhere near anything like she did and she was so brave and strong. I mean she had her days as well like anyone would, but yeah, I feel like I don't have the right to feel down at times about it IYKWIM? Anyway, we're soldiering on ...I am happy that Oskar is such a good little man though cos when I have bad days it certainly makes it easier.
-
Cass, lol I remember my MIL insisting on babysitting Claire when she was 10 DAYS old!! I was thinking are you serious?? Are you going to whip out a breast and magically make mlk and feed her?? PMSL!! I'm sure your mum meant well and just wants to spend some time with Oskar... but just forgot about one thing regarding how he eats.. Oh I didt see the thing about Belinda Emmett but I bet it was a bit of a tear jerker. I have crappy days too, although I havent got any bad medical issues... but i think we all have those days where we think we have it so bad and wonder what we did to deserve it etc.
Gosh its 3:20 already, where did the day go??!!
Oh little miss has just woken up from her nap. Only 30 minutes - I was hoping for a little longer but ah well.
