Awww Sarah, she's just getting more and more beautiful. Ari, WTG little princess!!!! I have my fingers crossed for you Sarah. I hope it's the start of great things for you! :D
Cass, I hope Izzy gets better fast! I was going to either tell you something or ask you something and now I can't remember what it was!! I remember last night when I went to bed I thought oh I meant to ask/tell you something and that I'd tell you today. Well, as it goes my brain has gone on holidays and I can't think what it was dammit!
Karina, I love how you describe your ceiling. You need to get out more though ;) hehe
Hmmm... ok, here's a TMI story. I think I have my first AF. I didn't think you got it when BF though? I had a bit of a funny tummy this morning and thought OMG I hope I don't have that gastro thing! Oskar was a bit fussy with feeding which was odd for the first feed of the day. It wasn't until about 1/2 hour ago that I noticed it when I went to the toilet. I kinda feel like crying in a way.. I don't know firstly if it's normal and secondly... I'm not ready for MORE changes!! Man, that's all it's been for over a year... changes and I can't keep up...lol. ahhhhhhh. Oh and I am seriously struggling over to have or not have another bubba.
-
Sarah, Ari is such a cutie and what a handsome little guy Xander is!
Cassblob, hope Izzy gets better soon.
Cass, bummer about getting AF. I thought you could get it though when BF. Thats what the ECHN told me. She said you can but if you do its just that you are "unlucky" and AF will probably be irregular, or you might get one and then not another for months. YEah I do need to get out more often but its too cold and I have been lazy.
Slept better last night so I am happy. Claire slept in our bed and didnt wake up as frequently as she normally does. I think we definately need more room in our bed if she is going to in there more often. Poor hubby squished himself into the corner cos he didnt want to squish Claire!
-
Oh Cass - bummer about AF, I got mine back at 7-8mths with DS and he was still feeding every 1 1/2 - 2hrs day and night I was so peeved. I thought I got them back at 7wks pp this time but haven't seen them again since early june and hpt is neg so guess not. I have finally come to terms with not having another bubba. It still aches when I walk past a maternity shop with the cute little belly maniqueins, or see a squishy newborn or a pg lady but I know it's right for us to be the family we are now. Having said that, if DH doesn't get the snip soon and we have an accident I won't be disappointed.
Karina - welcome to the joys of co-sleeping :-) I love sleeping with ari as she doesn't wake as often, is essier to settle and I don't have to get up but when DS joins us about 5-6am for a snuggle it gets seriously crowded :-)
-
Cass - i've done that quite a frew times comming to post, then sitting here for 10mins trying to think about what! lol... Bummer bout Af, I got mine back just before i went to tazzie, now havn't had them since... I'm sick of all these body changes too!
Karina - Glad you had a better night sleep :)
Hehe, wanted to share some of the funny things Izzy is doing atm. They are very cute...
- As you know she is teething, so everything is going into her mouth, the other day i was trying to give her kisses and she had hold of my face pulling her head closer to suck on my face it was very cute!
- In the mornings she'll be laying next to me, and if i don't answer her straight away she does this 'yelling talking' speech to get my attention, if i give her attention and roll over again, she'll doing it again! Hehe another very cute!
But the funniest thing we seen is when she goes crazy kicking legs and throwing arms about when she sees my boobys (food) lol, it's like i have been starving her for ages and she just has to have them straight away! hehehe
-
Howdy!
Karina, that's awesome you had a better sleep. Makes you feel so good huh! Just like when Oskar was not happy the other night after his needles and I was waking all night I felt like crap and it took me days to get over it, I felt so happy when he was back to sleeping again! Oskar is in bed with me after his first feed in the morning and Andy has gone to work.
Sarah, you wouldn't believe how many pg ladies I've seen lately... OMG THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!! I saw at least 5 just this morning *sighs*. Then this TINY little bubba, I reckon it was smaller than Oskar ever was!! I think I need help...lol cos I don't know that I particularly want to stop having bubba's IYKWIM? Actually yes I think you do know what I mean!!
Cass.. OMG HOW CUTE!! Make sure she doesn't get your hair when she's holding your face..hehe. Oskar gets all excited when he sees me getting ready to feed him too, his eyes almost pop out of his head!! lol.
Well AF seems to have just about gone? I guess this is normal when BF too huh?? It was only soooo light though... I was going to say something else as well but took it out as it might cross the TMI line for some. Oskar is asleep on my lap atm... looks so adorable.
-
Cassblob, how cute about Izzy trying to suck on your face! Claire has begun holding onto my boobies when I feed her, like its a bottle. Its very bizarre!
Cass, I am so not looking forward to having AF return. Its been so nice not having to worry about it for the last 14 months! I did get told though from my GP that AF could be completely different when it returns.
Sarah, i LOVE snuggling Claire! Even just with the three of us in bed its a bit crowded but we re working around that.
Been out all day getting new bathroom bits as we are doing some minor reno's. We got a SEXY cabinet to compliment our new SEXY ceiling, PMSL. We were in the shop for AGES and Claire was so good. I seriously thought that she ws going to screm the place down, but she actually fell asleep in my arms.
Oh and I'm looking for csual jobs! Just because I want some extra $. I might see if there are any holiday jobs, just during school holidays and stuff as well.
My A button is not working very well so sorry if some of my words dont look like words, they are probably just missing their A. I spilt water into my computer the other day and A stopped working properly then.
-
Karina- PMSL at your little 'A' problem. That would be so frustrating but it sounds hilarious. Then again it has been a long day and I think I have the tired giggles
Cass_blob - oh that is so cute!!! Ari gets the giggles when i get ready to feed her and then today I actually gave her both sides and when she sat up she was staring at my boobs looking from one to the other grinning like "hey there's two of them - woohoo"
Cass - I know exactly where you're coming from about wanting more bubba's. In another thread on the topic some of the ladies suggested finding something else to look forward to or getting a hobby. I think the new business has taken over the hobby thing and DH and I are looking forward to doing some serious travelling in the next few years, so I am focusing on that. Oh and you should know nothing is tmi around here. my goodness only five months ago we were talking about mucous plugs and the best places to put ice packs :-)
On a completely off topic note want to hear something hilarious. Yesterday DH and I both took Ds to school and while we were out our dog (size of a small horse) got his head stuck in one of those mopping buckets with the squeezers(hehe) Apparently he was running around the yard running into buildings and trees like a nut case until our neighbore rescued him. He has completely lost the respect of all the school kids who walk past our house (who he usually scares the 5@*! out of :-)
-
Sarah.. PMSL @ your dog... OMG how hillarious that would've been to see. I'm assuming that he's not hurt though. Hmmm I'm not sure that a hobby or such would do it for me. My main concern really is how sick I got there for a while when Oskar was around 6 wks old... was a major vertigo flare up and I keep thinking what if that happened again but I also had Oskar to look after... WTF would I do then?? I mean at least when I was in bed for days Oskar was little enough that he basically just fed and slept in bed with me. I think I need to talk to my doc about it more... cos I really think I'd like to have another bubba. The other things are.. I'm guessing it would be nice for Oskar to have someone to grow up with... but then if we don't have another one then we could basically be able to have Oskar do whatever he wanted, as in sports or music or whatever cos we'd only have one to afford if that makes sense.
Karina, I was contemplating this afternoon doing some kind of casual work on a Saturday or Sunday just for my mind. Andy could look after Oskar and feed him with EBM. Just a passing thought at the moment though, not sure how I'd feel if I took it further than that yet...lol. OMG girl... have you DTD lately or is that the problem that you haven't??? PMSL @ everything being sexy.
We were at the shops for ages this morning as well cos I was talking to Andy about his birthday pressie (not till Sept). I know what I want to get but he kinda has to actually do the final choosing of it cos it's power tools and well it's a personal thing. So we went to Bunnings and Oskar was getting lessons in what things were. It was cool though cos I looked at some kitchen displays as well cos I wanna do some minor reno's on our kitchen cos firstly, I HATE my oven/stove and want to put in a cooktop and oven and also need a new rangehood cos mine doesn't work and the ppl who owned the house before ... I swear they NEVER cleaned it and the filter thingy is all smashed in and it is all GRIMEY!! It's soooo gross. Then we went to the shopping centre cos I wanted a new kettle and to show Andy some things I want...lol... hmmm some new shoes.. but you see here's the thing.. they're Colorado's and they're 40% off and I LOVE THEM! So they're $54.. LIKE OMG! Don't have my size though, but if I show him then he'll say if I really want them to get them...hehe. Not that he'd stop me anyway, but I kinda like to discuss things if they cost more than about $50 cos I'd get annoyed if he just went and bought stuff all the time cos sometimes we both forget about a bill and the other remembers so it's all good. Oh... and on the way home we passed a garage sale.. and got 2 really nice bedside tables for $15. Really solid they are. The ones we have are soooo tacky so I'm happy I have nice ones now :)
Well, better go and decide what's for dinner I guess.

Hi everyone...
I've buggard my back! 2 days ago I woke up and twisted funny and cramped the muscle around my right shoulder blade and it hasn't eased up...really really painful especially when I have to hold Grace and put her to the breast. On Thursday when I did it I was lucky as DH was home and he did everything with Grace (except feed), but he went back to work yesterday so I just had to grin and bare it...if it doesn't ease up I may have to go to the physio, or a friend I know says they know a good myotherapist so I may give them a go - I need someone to work my whole back as it is always so stiff - has anyone else found this? Especially across my shoulders, I think from holding Grace all the time. A good poke and prod would feel wonderful!
Cass - Grace loves her cuddles, she is a real mummy's girl. It is getting worse lately though - i'm thinking seperation anxiety, if she is with a stranger or someone she isn't around all of the time and I leave the room I come back to a screaming Grace. If someone else is holding her she doesn't take her eyes off me. What a bugger about AF. I am dreading the day it returns - I would love for it to stay away until next year!
Cass - wow on Izzy's teeth. That's great - must admit though I am so glad Grace isn't doing that yet - not with BF still! Glad your friends bub is going to be ok. How's Izzy today? Don't they do the cutest things! Today Grace did the most cutest thing but in a way I thought it was a bit mean - my dad was holding her (pop) and he was drinking a can of scotch and coke, anyway he pretended to hand it to Grace and she looked up, her eyes popped our of her head, she reached out with both hands, mouth wide open and she was shaking!! She was so excited, but then of course it had to be taken away. It was so funny but I felt really bad as she obviously thought it was a bottle or something. My mum took a photo so I'll post when it comes back.
Sarah - Is Ari continuing to sleep through for you? You must have felt strange having that much sleep. Sounds like your business is just taking off, did you expect it to go so well? The photo's are just gorgeous. Your poor dog! Would have been funny to watch though.
Karina - I am going to apply for a casual job soon too, must admit the money thing worries me a bit. I'm waiting for Latrobe uni to fix something up so that I can apply for a casual nursing job with a higher qualification which would mean more money. Will call them next week if I don't hear from them soon.
Have a christening to go to tomorrow, can't remember the last christening I've been to. Should be nice. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Counting down till we got to QLD, it was so cold here today.
-
Cass - nice shopping! I went on a bit of a spree too. Went into Target to get a b'day pressie for 1 yr old nephew (more about that later) and ended up walking out with a pack of photo frames and a new dinnerset (we don't really own a matching dinner set and we have 4 people now.. right so this makes sense.. yes - this is what I'm going to try and rationalise to DH) I am the same, hate buying anything for myself over $50. I bought my most expensive pair of shoes EVER when we were in brissie - a pair of boots for $89 (60% off! - still felt bad) I hope you can work out something on the bubba front. Health issues are one thing that DH had to remind me of too. I'm sure you could work something out with DH if you did get sick again - was it related to pg/birth?
Oh Rachel, there is nothing worse than a sore back! Oh yes a massage sounds blisfull. Wish we were going to be in Brissie when you come down :-(
You know what - we should organise a national bellybelly march babies meet up next March, where do most of us live?
-
Sarah, pmsl about your dog!!! Tht would have been funny to see. My A problem is kinda funny, but I suppose I shouldnt have removed the A from the keyboard to get the water out as I dont think I put it back on properly.
Cass, hehehe the sexy stuff I write about about isnt the same kind of sexy as my hubby, LOL, I just called the cabinet sexy cos you laughed at me when I sid the ceiling ws sexy! I just want a casual job for some me time and for the extra cash. I think I woudl probably miss Claire though! Oh I hte dirty cooktops and rangehoods. Yuk, i hte other peopes grime on rangehoods, lol. YAY on the bedside tables.
Rachel, I have found that I do sometimes have a stiff back/shoulders area especially at times that Claire has been feeding lots or I have been holdng her lots. Hope you bck pain eases up though. What is myotherapy? I have never even heard of it. I reckon a massage would feel lovely!

Hi everyone! I am still around, just going through some "stuff" at the moment. I went back to uni this week, well, technically, I haven't gone "back" as I am doing the unit externally, but I am back to doing the work! Have ben thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life after my babies grow up (that is, Nic goes off to school) as we have decided that I will stay at home until then. I am still a volunteer though, so I just do what I can from home ATM which is great. I am really lucky that hubby's business means that I don't have to go back to work for the income, and that I can still do the work I want through volunteering so I feel as though I am still contributing to society!! And the all important adult conversation!!
Anyway, enought about me! Nic is beautiful! I really need to post more pics, will do that this week. He has had another cold this week, with a terrible cough, so I have been very worried due to this terrible flu that has been killing babies in Perth in the last few weeks. Luckily though, the GP checked him out and he is fine, and is definitley getting better now thanks to the vapouriser in his room. I am heading out to the markets across the road from me with my neightbour shortly, as I have a craving to do some gardenning since the weather is nice today. Yesterday, I weeded while Nic was in his swing checking out the world. He loves being outside. He has started yelling too! I was thinking that maybe he was just telling me he was tired or grumpy, but I think he is just doing it to get my attention. As soon as I look at him, he grins at me! I think he is also getting his first tooth, down the bottom. I can see it there, but it hasn't come through yet. Jas didn't get her first until she was about 7 months, but I remember being able to see hers a lot eralier than that too.
I am glad to hear everyone else is going great, and that all the bubbas are doing well. I will try to keep up with the posts so I can do personals again!

Cass – She Grasp the hair too! I’m going to have to learn to put it up! I love how they get all excited! Colorado’s for $50 that’s a bargain! Where where where??? I love Colorado’s they so comfy! I like going to garage sales to! Get some great bargains!
Karina – It’s cute when she has a good hold on the boob! Bugger bout you’re a button, I’m actually going very well with this keyboard apart from the few crumbs nothing has been split! Yet, lol
Saram – That is cute Ari looking at both sides! PMSL at your dog! Now that would have been a site to see ;)
Rachel – That doesn’t sound good about your back, I hope it feels better soon! I used to get a bad back after some shifts at work (as a assistant in nurse) some patients would just fall on me, really hurt the back, so I feel your pain! Massages always work wonders! Acupuncture works a treat to!
Thanks, the teeth are starting to get a bit more painful the more they poke out! Grin and bear it!~!~ hehe! Tim was doing that to Izzy the other day with his can! She gets so excited!
When you come to QLD?
Jomarie – I go back to uni next year… good luck with your studies! Hope Nic feels better, I hate this flu season!
Izzy is feeling much better, luckily she didn’t get a bad flu! It took from 9.30 till 3 o’clock to get her to have a nap today! She feel asleep around 12ish while I was reading her a story, then woke up 15mins later, she was getting so cranky! But nicely asleep now!
I’m gonna share a totally embarrassing TMI story that happen last night, While me an DP were DTD last night again an again an again ;) finally finished and the condom was gone! Like we searched everywhere it was gone! We found it inside me! I have never had that happen before! Totally freaked me out!
Okay going now ... after i left's youse with that lovely image! haha... ohhh boy!
-
Ooooooh aaaaahhh Cass! I've actually had that happen once a LONG time ago. I hope you don't stress about a "possibility" though. Good Izzy is feeling better :) The shoes are actually at the Colorado shop themselves!!! I couldn't believe that they were cheaper than Williams and they're like about 3 shops apart...hehe. I'm gonna ring up the Toombul and Chermside stores tomorrow and see if they have the ones I want in my size and drive there if I have to cos I REALLY like them :)
Rachel, I've been getting majorly sore back... a lot of it from around the middle up and my neck too, particularly one side which is the side I usually hold Oskar on. It's so bad sometimes that I have to just put him down to give myself a break. Hmmm don't know what you could do with Grace getting upset with others like that :(
Sarah, it isn't pg/birth related which is why it is something on my mind. I'm the same with shoes too, but having said that such a great bargain like your boots is like OMG! I have such a bad problem with shoes...lol... I LOVE 'EM!
Jo, great to hear from you!! I've been wanting to some stuff in the garden as well, but we're coming into a bit of a cold snap again and we're going to be getting some lovely cold westerly winds over the next few weeks, so not the right time. What volunteer work do you do?
Karina, you make me laugh :P
I have a sore throat atm :( It better not turn into anything!! I've been a bit cranky today so I'm not sure what it is, maybe I'm just a bit tired I don't know. We might be selling our business too, had some people look at the equipment today. It will be good in a way cos we just haven't the time to build it up at the moment and it's a bit of a burden in a way. So, I think we'll know during the week if they want it or not. We're not selling to make a profit, just to get out even pretty much.
-
Cass_blob - look out could be Cass_blob#2 very soon hehe. Wish I had that much energy.
Cass- oh I love chermy! Used to live right near there when we lived in Brissie. I was blown away by hoe HUGE it is now!
Jomarie - hope nic is feeling better soon and good luck with uni
OK gotta go grab the rolling nudey - she is half way across the room with no nappy on
-
Hi everyone, my name is Jen and I had my little Sam on 21st March. I have only been on here for about a month so I thought I'd just say hi! I went back to work at the beginning of June because from when Sam was 7 weeks old he started sleeping thru the night, everyone tells me how spoilt I am lol. I started him on solids about 3 weeks ago when he started waking up hungry thru the night, and since I have done that he has been an even happier baby. Is anyone here from the Newcastle area???
-
Sarah, I went to Chermside today...lol. I called the Colorado shop there this morning and they HAD MY SHOES! So well I just HAD to get them ;) I didn't realise they'd moved so I had to go wandering around, which really was such a horrid thing..lol. It's soooo huge there now it's crazy! One thing though is a lot of the new shops feel really snobby and like I'm too "common" for them...pmsl IYKWIM? I had fun though and Oskar was a little champ and oh of course was being a charmer to the shop assistants..lol.
Welcome Jen :) I was born in Newcastle but that's about the extent of it, I haven't been there in many years now. Sounds like you've got a great little bub. What work do you do? Was it the same job as before you had Sam?
Oh, almost forgot!! Yesterday Oskar didn't sleep too much.... which was fine he wasn't too unhappy. Anyway, I fed him around 6 cos he was whingy and he fell asleep - nothing unusual about that - and normally if he does this will wake by 8pm for a bath etc... well no, not last night!! He was sleeping on the lounge, in his tracky and unwrapped (still wrap him from under the arms at night). So, I carefully picked him up around 9ish and wrapped him, put him in his hammock and he slept right through until aroun 6:20 this morning!!! I had to give him a gentle rock around 5ish...but poor little possum must've been tired! Only the second time he's ever done that for that long!
-
Cass - that's great that Oskar slept for so long! Nic has gone back to waking a couple of times a night, once for a feed, and usually once or twice for his dummy. I am hoping that when we start solids, he may go back to sleeping through . The work I do at the moment is with refugees. I am on the board of a community legal centre. I am setting up our website ATM, providing content and the layout, and working on some staffing issues (reviews etc). I also do some communtity development work and finding applications for them.
I am hoping to do some work with the Women's Health Service over here too once I get more settled. They do counselling for women on issues from PND to Alcohol and drug problems.
Cass - Blob - Naughty you! That will teach you to have a good time!!
Hi Jen! Lucky you, little Sam sounds like a dream baby!
Sarah - I have this image of Ari rolling across the room, so cute!
Has anyone heard from Caro? I wonder how the christening went? I might email her...
Well, not much going on here. Nic has taken to screetching at the top of his voice today for some reason. It's horrendous! He is so loud for such a little person. He didn't sleep at all today, and just wanted to play with me, so I got nothing else done! Luckily, I ordered my groceries online, so I could do it with him on my lap. The weather here is shocking today, really windy and rainy, so miserable.
