Cass, Claire is doing better now. We think she is teething but not 100% sure as to whether thats the reason for her crankiness. Ooooh the music mat thingy sounds like fun! Lucky you got the guy to check your car seat - we got ours installed by the guy at the fitting station but I swear he did it wrong because it just seems wrong to me so I never drive far and walk where possible.
Sarah, hehe how cute about Ari wiggle crawling but omg how scary that she was under the recliner! Play pen sounds nice with the mesh sides. I'd like to get something like that for when we go to my mums house.
Well, today I went to have a look at a child care centre for Claire bear. I took my sister along because she is a room supervisor in a CCC and she knows all the stuff to look out for and ask! I have to say, we werent all that impressed. All the babies had snotty green noses, the carers werent interacting with the kids, the room for the babies was boring and not very inviting, there were no cushions in the room.. so to say the least, I dont know how I feel about it and I'm not sure that I want Claire to go there. My sister also had a look at their weekly programs and told me she would get in sooooo much trouble at her workplace if she had a program that boring! So yeah, i dont know what to do, but will tlk with hubby tonight and see what he thinks. Another thing that annoyed me was that the director of this place didnt bother to tell me that like 80% of the roads nearby are closed off, so we ended up having to drive around in circles for almost an hour as all the streets were either one way or had barriers accross them. I was practically pulling my hair out (well, whats left of it!) with frustration.
-
Cass - yeah I noticed how soft it was when I took her out but I wondered how much longer it could accomodate her little fat bootie :-) That's great that you got the seat fitted properly. We used to put a large flat bucket of water under DS's feet in the jolly jumper
Karina - Oh I hope claire is feeling better. Child care is hard, but if you don't like it don't send her there, or if it is the only one available and you are desperate then put her in but apply for others in the meantime. I had to put DS in a daycare I didn't really like and I felt horrible everytime I left him there.

Hey! Thought I would drop in and say "hello"! My little girl was born at the end of March, and I was a Belly Buddy, but then, once she was born, never really got a chance to get near the computer! Sounds like she is progressing along at about the same rate as all of your babies - she first rolled at 3 months (to the day!) and has only ever managed to roll to the left, never the right, and has only rolled from tummy to back accidently. She has been sleeping through the night (form about 7:30 to 9am) since about 6 weeks old, as long as she is wrapped up - if we don;t wrap er she wakes up about every hour, hour and half - so we continue to wrap her... She started sitting yesterday, after i positioned her, and managed to stay up for 30 seconds all on her own - I was so proud of her! She hasn't started teething yet, although her cheeks have been a fiery red for a few weeks now. We also haven't started on solids yet - I want to wait until she is closer to 6 months. However, I am breastfeeding her, and at the moment, trying to give her one bottle of formula a day, so that i can go beck to work mid october, and i don't think she likes it - i think it is the teats - have tried avent, pigeon peristaltic ones, cheapo ones and am now trying some pur orthodontic ones - this whole baby business is soooooooooo expensive! But i wouldn't change it for the world!!!!
-
Cass - my sister gave us her Jolly Jumper and we finally set it up today. It was hillarious! Nic loved it! I think I will also get the mat for him. Good thing you checked your car seat!
Ali - Hi!! Great to hear from you. Sounds like Emerson is going great, what a fantastic sleeper!
Caro - I have those Tupperwear ice cube trays with the lids, they are great. I could do with a few more though as I only have two and I am going to start mixing up Nics veges soon (broccoli and pumpkin etc). Do the containers you found have lids? Where did you get them from?
Karina - you can't be too careful when choosing your day care. Remember, you can't be there to make sure they are looking after Claire, so I would be 100% comfortable with the centre and the carers before leaving her there. You can always ask some of the other parents who have children there and see what they think.
Sarah - I think the play pen is a good idea for Ari. I have a fear of choking too, and the girls have so many little beads and things. At least they are old enough to make sure their stuff is put away, and we have put a gate on the loungeroom so that Nic can't get out (when he finally gets moving).
Jen - do his cheeks get dry as well? Nics went really red, now they are a bit dry, like he has a rash.
Well, I just wanted to say that I have lost 3ks in the last 3 weeks!! So very proud of myself! I have been doing weight watchers and making DH do it as well. I am only 2kg away from my pre pregnancy weight now YIPPEE!! Nic has another cold at the moment, poor little tacker. I hate it when they are sick. He seems better today though and slept really well today. He had carrot for the first time today, and after initially screwing his face up, after a coupld of mouthfulls, he was loving it. I think I will try avocado this week as well.
-
Hey all! Omg alot of writing in here lately!
Caro - i will email you shortly to talk turkey hehe!
Cass - thanks, Got the flu now (cough, sore throat, headache) so still feel like crap lol! But the day must go on! And Dp has the stomach virus so we are not doing to well! Luckly izzy is still in good health :) Cass whats the joly jumper mat? Izzy loves her jolly jumper, shes getting the whole jumping thing now too!!!
Karina - htat child care doesnt sound to inviting, just by the sounds of it doesnt sound very noice! Trust your insticts
Jo marie - well done on loosing the weight :) hi 5 to you :) ohh poor nic hope he gets better
Ali - i wouldnt change it either :) can emerson come teach izzy to sleep like that :)
Sarah glad Ari is better~! Oh thats soo cute about her rolling in the pool! hehe!
Oh and gorgeous PIc in photobuctet of Izzy's Toothy grin :)
-
JoMarie, yeah Sam's cheeks definetly look like he has a rash, I have just been putting some moisturiser on them, it seems to help. When I bath him I use the Johnsons Bedtime bath with the lavender and chamomile in it, then afterwards I put moisturiser all over him and I use the Johnsons Calming one that has the lavender and that in it as well. He seems to love the smell of it cause after his baths he always has a nap (I usually bath him at 7pm after he has had his vegies).
-
Oh and I forgot to ad, Sam has his appetite back! Yay! On Tuesday he hardly ate anything during the day and barley touched his vegies. When I gave him his last bottle for the night at around 8.30pm he drank the whole thing. Then at around 3am he was calling out and sucking on his dummy like he was starving so I heated up a bottle and he drank the whole thing! Then he slept thru to around 9am so I got a great sleep in! Since then he has drank all his bottles (240ml) and has been eating almost all his solids and he seems so much happier! Although last night after vegies he was rolling around on the floor and was on his belly for a while and then he did a huge power spew, but afterwards he was laughing so he must have been putting too much pressure on his tummy by lying on it lol poor little bugger, so into the bath and then he had an hour nap and after his last bottle he went off and I didnt hear boo from him until he woke at 7.20am thismorning.
When I went and saw the nurse yesterday, she said all the symptoms he had, that it was definetly teething, so that made me feel a bit better. Sam now weighs 9kg and is 74cm long! He is going to outgrow size 0 in a heartbeat!!!
-
OMG... now I can't remember what was said on the last page!!!
Ali, welcome back honey!! Great to hear from you again! Sounds like Emerson is doing great! She was born on a good day you know ;) My birthday...hehe.
Jen, I use paw paw ointment and it works great... on the chin and cheeks when he gets a bit of a rash from wiping slobber all over his face and also on his little butt! It's available from the chemist and pretty cheap :) I use it for everything so I don't have to buy separate creams for face/butt etc.
Cass, the mat is a jolly jumper music mat thing. I got it from Big W - they're around $26. Awww Izzy looks so cute with her toothy grin!! I love it!
Oskar sat up last night for a REALLY long time. He was on my lap facing me and he just sat there unaided for like a minute or 2!! I was going omg how clever! lol. He half rolls but can't be bothered going the rest of the way yet...lol. Either that or he has his hands stuck in his mouth so he can't anyway! I checked his gums and he has a little white spot on the bottom, but looks like where his eye tooth would be so I'm not sure if it's just moving up and down or if he's going to be abnormal and get that one first! He's been full on biting his finger and mine if he can get to it.
-
thankz cas! i loce her new grin - except when she bites! ouch! lol
jenp glad sam is back onn his food :)
-
Caro - I will have to go up there and check it out! As for coming for a visit, I promise to do that before you move. I have an assignment dure next week, so am busy trying to get that done, after that, I will be free (until the next one is due at least!)
-
Hey girls...
Sossigirl says hello, and sorry for being naughty and not writing much... Kaiden is doing great, growing healthy!
-
Hi girls...we're back! Got back from the not so sunny gold coast last night. We still had a good time but it definitely wasn't the warm sunny holiday that i was expecting! What bad timing with the weather! Not to worry. Still...will have to wait a bit longer before grace gets to feel the sand between her toes. Got a fancy sun shade for the pram before leaving but didn't even look at it for the entire trip, the rain cover got a good working out though!
Seems like there are a couple of new ladies on here...hello to you all.
Cass, say hi to sonia next time you speak to her. Glad Kaidan is doing well.
Grace has been on farex for a week and a half and we gave her potato tonight for the first time tonight.
Got to go, grace is calling. tkae care.
-
Hi to Sonia through Cass...lol.
Rachel, welcome back!! Sorry about the weather hun, but not giving the rain up for anyone :P Mind you on Thursday my backyard resembled half a swimming pool... half of it was kinda flooded with HUGE puddles.
I think Oskar has had a bit of a tummy bug cos (TMI) his # 2's yesterday and today have been really quite liquidy and they'd been more peanut butter for a little while. It went EVERYWHERE last night (lucky it was just before his bath). Today Andy had a bit of a funny tummy, so I'm not sure if it was that or if he's getting set up for teeth?? Other than that he seems to be eating and has no temp, so I'll just keep an eye on him.
Caro, hope Michael and Courtney are feeling better. to you.
-
Grrrrr internet has been down for a few days so much to catch up on. Can't remember anything from the previous page. We've been having a few rought days with Ari and I am taking her to the dr next week as she is obviously having pain somewhere for some reason. I thought she was constipated and although it had been a couple of days when she did go it wasn't dry or hard so???? but the last couple of nights she will just cry and cry and won't sleep at all during the day. The oly thing that has settled her has been panadol (whch I hate giving to her but nothing else will stop her crying not even BF - in fact I think it makes it worse. I would say it was colic/reflux but I think she is too old???? She is arhing her back, then brining up her legs and when you hold her she fights you, put her down and she screams more, doesn't want any pressure on her tummy like won't go over your shoulder etc. I just don't know what to do.
Welcome Ali and good luck with the formula, we had to try a few diff brands with DS, ended up with karicare. Ari on the other hand had some of the Amcal brand when I went to uni and loved it but that girl will eat anything we are discovering - I do mean anything.
Cass_blob - gorgeous photo! How is BF going with the teeth? Hope ypu are feeling better soon
caro hope your week improves
Cass- oh hope Oskar isn't getting sick, def could be teeth.
Rachel - oh I was hoping you were going to the coast next week what a bummer about the weather. Next time you should come up to townsville! It was over 30 today OMG
Jen pleased to hear Sam has his app back and woohoo on his growth.
-
Hi ladies!
We tried giving Claire a bit of Farex today but I dont think she was very impressed. She ate it and swaallowed it, but was much more interested in playing with her spoon. Anyway, about an hour after she had the Farex she spewed all over her clothes, so I had to change her. Then she did it again shortly after, then shortly after that she had a poo explosion, then after tht she spewed on DH, hehe. Lots of clothes changes today!
I am still trying to work out what to do with childcare. I am leaning towards not putting her at that place I visited during the week. Just seems too dodgy and yukky for me, and DH thought it was a bot dodgy too.
ohh so tired! time to sleep now!
-
Sarah, you poor love. I can't imagine what would be making Ari so upset. It sure sounds like she has some pain from what you've described. It's so distressing when you try everything you can think of and the only thing which works is the one you hate the most :( Even more distressing when you can't work out what it is that's making them feel like that. I feel for you so much. I wish I could give you a real hug, but I will have to send you a cyber:hug: instead and I hope your doc can give you some answers.
Karina... wow on all those clothes changes! I tried the Farex with Oskar about a week ago cos he was showing quite a bit of interest in food (although I've since decided he's not actually interested enough just yet) but he wasn't too impressed by it... and I mixed in more water than it said cos damn I'd hate eating glue stuff too!! Then I gave him a bit of steamed and pureed pumpkin and that he liked sooooo much better. Like I said, I am not giving him anymore for a little while. Probably try him in another couple of weeks again.
Caro, the boys are 5 months TODAY!! Can you believe that??? ALREADY!!!! I was mucking around saying I wasn't going to wake up a 3:58am to wish Oskar a happy 5 month birthday... so what does he do????.... wakes at 4am for a feed... PMSL he heard me the little monkey!!!
-
Howdy! We have had an exciting week this week (for us anyway!) - Emy learnt to sit all by her self. On Monday she could only sit for about 30 seconds, but by Wednesday, she was getting the hang of it, and can now sit for ages without falling over! Then last night, we were at mums house, and i had her on the kitchen table, and she was wiggling around like she was sick of sitting, so i stood her up and held on to her for a bit, and then she leant against my body, and for some strange reason i let go, and she managed to keep herself upright - and it didn;t feel like she was resting much of her weight on me either. It was crazy!
And then, yesterday, i had an apple i had cut in half and de-cored, and was holding Emy while i was eating it, and she grabbed my hand and put the apple in her mouth, and started sucking, and her eyes lit up! It was the first taste of food that she has had, and when i tried to take it off her so i could eat it, she whinged, grabbed my hand and shoved the apple back in her mouth - it was sooooooooo funny. I was going to try to wait until 6 months to feed her, but now i think i might have to bring that forward a little bit...
Also, we have finally had luck with formula and bottles - she will now take a pur orthodontic teat, and actually suck. But she will only take the 0-3 month ones at the moment, the 3-6 month ones seem to flow to fast for her right now. Because i have had no luck trying to get her to have any formula, i have only been making up half of what the tin reckons she should be having (100ml instead of 200ml), and today she just about finished the lot. Yay! Her being happy to have formula makes me feel a bit better about going back to work - I wouldn't want her starving for the 2 days she is with my mum. Also don;t want her screaming from hunger while she is with mum - i think that would just about drive mum crazy!
Anyhoo, i feel like i have walked over half of the western suburbs of brisbane today, so i am going to go and crash, and hope Emy sleeps in tomorrow - she usually wakes up at 8:30-9ish, but she woke up at 6:30 today, so hoping that was just a one off...
-
WTG Ali!! Oskar did that with an apple last week too, he thought it was wonderful!! Emerson sounds like she is doing great! Such a clever little girl.
I bought one of those little spoony things with the mesh bag on them... I know Sarah knows what I'm talking about...lol... and I cut a little piece of pear and popped it in yesterday and Oskar thought it was Christmas!! Once he worked it out he just kept shoving it in his mouth and having a good old chomp! They're great cos you don't have to stew, puree etc. I did it cos I'm fairly sure he's teething but an eye tooth, not the normal middle tooth!! He's been quite a mummy's boy and grizzly and not sleeping as well. He's had a white spot there for about the last 4/5 days and it's still there and he chews on that side lots. So I thought that he'd like the feeling of the mesh bag and I think he did. Anyway, that's all the news from then apart from him being so overtired last night it took about 2 hours to get him to sleep!! lol. Later yummy mummy's!! :D
-
hey girls,
Sarah breastfeeding is still going okay - shes chomped down a few times! most of the time its when im not paying attention to her~ cheeky monkey she is! and of couse i get huge smiles afterwards!
Well Izzy has the flu big time, i had to rush her to the doctors today, she had a temp of 38.2 and has inflammed ears and crackly chest, he put hewr on amoxicillin and i have to go back tomorrow to get her checked again! shes so sick my poor lil girl! and i feeel terrible coz she got it from me! i haven't fully recoved either its in my ears ans chest too!!!

what spoon u talkin bout cass?
hope everyone else is good
-
PMSL Caro.... they're great though!!
Cass, the brand is sassy and it's called a teething feeder. You can get them almost anywhere, got mine from Big W... around where the bottles etc are. They're great! If you want a pic of it just email me and I'll take one... :) Poor little Izzy... how's she doing today hun?? It's so awful when they're sick cos it makes you feel so helpless and they just don't understand it. Big  to you both and I hope you both feel better really soon!!
-
YAY! We have had a first today - Emy and I managed to go to the shop, hang around a bit, buy some stuff, and then stop at the grog shop on the way homw, while managing to stay clean and dry! Emy has been a happy chucker, and has always needed to wear a bib over all of her very cute clothes, but today, i thought i would see how she would go without a bib on, and it was a success! YAY! Although, she did spew almost the second we got home, but still, i was very happy that we got to the shop dry.
-
I just looked at them on the web they look fantastic~ I'm going shopping! hehe!
Izzy is a little better today, still very crocky - but improving and temp is stable... doctor checked her over again today, and liked what he heard!
My friend who has one week to go untill her bubba is due, went an saw her doctor today, and her doctor was going to induce her tomorrow! But she said no, because her little girl, izzy an me are sick... so she's getting induced next wednesday (if not before)... :) which is really exciting i see it from the other end!
Ali - That's kewl! They look so much cuter without the bibs :)
Oh and yoiu know how i was telling you all my mum was back! well shes now on her way to townsville!!~!~!~!~ Sarah i'll come visit one day :)
Gotta go get Izzy to bed, hope everyone is well!
-
Cass_blob - glad to hear that Izzy is getting better. It is so sad to hear/see sick babies. They should just all be healthy. A girl at work had her 2nd baby last year, and he has been sick since he was born, and he has finally been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and it is sooo sad, and then i kind of feel guilty for having a happy healthy baby.
Anyway, didn't you use to live down south somewhere? where is brisbane are you?
-
Ali - she is all smiles again! just got a nasty cough~ i agree, they should all be healhy. Oh thats so sad! ! ! I know what you mean about feeling guilty, my friend just had her baby prem, and i felt guilty having Izzy my labour was long but perfect where as she went through all this trauma!
No havent for a few years, I did live in Adelaide in 05, and recently went down to Taz for a few weeks, but that sumes it up... I'm South west - Logan area... But going to move at the end of the year/start of next year, but we can't decide on a nice place to raise our kiddies.
-
Hi all, just dropping in quick - internet down, power outage, assignment due, business booming baby teething, DS - issues = no computer time.
Cass_ thanks for the call you are such a sweetie, ari has been slightly better, still waking but not as distressed - so nice to cuddle her and not have her scrunched up kicking at me. we think it is one of either constipation (longer between poos, not hard and dry though), my chocolate binge (see DS -issues) or formula (hich she only has on Wed and Fri nights so we'll see how we go - so far tonight is not looking promising)
Karina - Caro's right mothers instincts are always right
Cass_blob - woohoo, when are you coming up! Hope Izzy is feeling better, OMG must have been very scary!
Sorry to anyone I've forgotten but gotta run
-
WTG Ali!! Oskar almost always has a bib on as well...lol. I do my best to co-ordinate it with his clothes though, not always a successful job though no matter how hard I try!
Cass, so glad to hear little Iz is feeling better :D
Sarah, no problems hun.... I hear ya on the choccie thing... I had a binge this afternoon... see story below...
Ok, so my cat - YES MY CAT AGAIN!! - peed on my bed AGAIN!! I was sooooo angry that I was pretty much in tears. I had a friend here when he did it so she was most helpful with Oskar while I sorted out my doona etc. Now, luckily I caught it just after he'd done it (by some miracle) and it hadn't gone through the my mattress. However, it was on my NEW doona which I bought just under 2 weeks ago when he last decided he would pee on my bed!! So, this is the 5th time (that we know of) he has peed on one of the beds in the house since January! Second time in just under 2 weeks... 3rd time in around 6 weeks. So, he has to go. I had to go and buy another doona cos the other is sopping wet after being washed - hopefully it was soon enough that it hasn't wrecked it! I am still angry with him. So he needs a new home and family cos I just can't deal with this anymore. I had such a crappy afternoon... other than that though I'm just dandy and so is my lovely little man. So, I had a bit of a choccie binge this arvo...lol. We had to give Andy his father's day pressies tonight cos he's going to Perth tomorrow until next Wed... he thought his pressies were cool..hehe. So, just me and my little man hanging out.
-
Hey Cass - grrr I used to hate it when DH was away for Fathers Day etc. I think in the first 2 yrs of his job he worked every fathers day, mothers day easter, christmas etc. Xanny and I used to always have a fab time together though. Sorry to hear about you having to give up your cat? I still think you should ring dr Harry - he would sort him out. Does dr Harry have a website???
-
Sarah, I did look up the Dr Harry site last night.. but like Caro said, nope, no more consults... ahhh well. I did call into the vet this arvo but they can't really offer any thoughts other than what we've already had checked and they think it sounds behavioural but not sure what triggered it. I did have some friends and two other bubs here yesterday before he did it and Andy and I think that may have had some trigger yesterday... but really if he's not happy with this in his home then we can't realistically keep him. He can't control our family like this :( Not to mention how expensive it is getting just the past 2 weeks alone with 2 new doona's... oh and the stuff I threw out when he did it 6/7 weeks ago!!
-
Hehe Sarah - not for a while yet, going to let the tribe settle in, then head up for a steaky beak :)
Cass sorry bout your cat~
Caro - get better soon, me n izzy still snuggling up in bed trying to get rid of the last bit of it...
-
Cass - sorry about your cat - how annoying for it to be weeing all over everything. I'd feel like strangling the thing - i wouldn't in real life, but that is how angry and annoyed i'd be...
Poor little Emy now has a really bad head cold. The poor chickens nose is so stuffed up,she is snoring while she sleeps, and her eyes are so red and puffy. I wish that there was more that we could do for her than paracetamol and eucaluptus oil. I know that i felt like dying when I had a really bad head cold when i was pregnant with her and couldn't take anything - drugs are the best things ever for making you feel just a little bit better...
Jason is all upset at the moment, coz he was planning to go and walk the Kokoda Track in 2009, and had lined up 7 of his mates to go with him, and now 3 of them have pulled out for various reasons - like a bad knee, or doing your PhD, or a lack of money are any excuse! Men....
-
Hello again another quick visit, assignment due in Monday - yuck yuck
Happy fathers Day to all the March daddy's for tomorrow.
Ariya is doing much better I have stopped giving her the occassional bottle of formula and just grin and bear expressing - I hate expressing - did I mention that. Also no more chocolate binging for me (except tonight - assignment etc) OMG forgot to tell you, we had the scaries thing happen the other day. My dog (rhodesian ridgeback 40kg+) walked up to Ariya and rolled over her. I think I actually picked him up by the legs and threw him half way across the backyard. Both Ariya and dog were fine after the intial shock.
I can't believe our bubs will be having their half birthday this month :-( So sad that they are growing up so quickly. Ari is learning to pull her legs underneath her but is finding it very frustrating as she keeps tipping over. I held her torso the other day and she got right up and sat on her bottom with THE BIGGEST GRIN ever, so looked like the cat who swallowed the bird, so look out world I think she will be crawling in no time.
Hope all are well, has anyone heard from Shell, Savina, Bek, Sonia etc? Anyway have to go
-
Ali, I felt like doing a "Homer Simpson" on him...lol. We've contacted a breeder who is going to help us find a new family for him. We don't think he's happy with our situation. We're thinking that he might actually be happier with a no kids family and with just either an older single or couple. It's sad, but we have to do what is best for him and our family. Awww poor little Em, I hope she gets better asap!
Sarah, I soooo would've done the same thing!! OMG I think my cat has been talking to your dog! Is Ari doing better without the formula? Maybe it's the type of formula.... as in maybe she is a bit intolerant or something and needs soy or another type? I hear ya on the expressing!! I had this grand plan of BF till a certain age - approx 8-12 months then putting him on a bottle/cup with EBM. Well, I've expressed twice so far and that was for a blocked duct and that was just a right royal PIA!! So, I seriously can't see me expressing for feeding purposes. WTG Ari!! Such a clever little princess. I hear ya, they're growing up WAY TOO FAST! A friend of mine's little boy is 10 months and taking his first steps, and I thought OMG that's only 4 months away, I hope it's not that soon!
Oskar is aaaaalmost rolling. He can't be bothered getting past his shoulder... but thinks he's pretty clever all the same. Very cute though. He also loves resting his feet on the bar on his pram... sits there like king Oskar! We sent Andy a pic this morning with Oskar holding a Happy Father's Day Daddy sign I made seeing as he's in Perth and he loved it. Well, I've hurt my back, right down the bottom... in between the small of the back and the tailbone... and I jar it every now and then which really takes the breath away. I have no idea how I did it, but did it this morning and well wouldn't you know it Andy's away until Wednesday! So, I had the heatpack on it but I find that it feels a bit worse after sitting so I'm trying to keep moving as much as possible so it doesn't seize up on me. Not easy to carry Oskar either!! I'm hoping it's better in the morning as I can't really do much to help it other than heat!
-
Cass - hope your back gets better soon, there is nothing worse. What a great idea making the sign! Hope hubby gets home soon for you!
-
Hi everyone...sorry I don't get on here much anymore, too many things to do and not enough hours in the day! I often take a few minutes to read how everyone is but never have enough time to respond! Dinner is almost ready so unfortunately this is another time of quick hello's!!
It sounds like everyone is doing pretty well other than the occasional hiccup. We are doing really well. Really can't believe that Grace will be 6 months on Saturday. It still seems like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. Well she is rolling everywhere now, she won't stay in the one spot anymore! Solids are going very well. She absolutely loves her veges (she's had potato and sweet potato so far and we will give her broccolli tomorrow). Fruit is not going so well...I read somewhere to start veges before fruit as fruit is sweet so they will definitely love it, well that's not the way it is for us! She gagged on banana - the taste not because it was to bitsy or anything, poor little thing so we're leaving that one alone for a while! She also gagged on pureed pear but we persisted for a couple of days and we are mixing a little tiny bit with rice cereal and i think we are getting somewhere. Today my mum gave her a piece of apple for her to suck/chew on and she loved it so I got one of those net things that you put whole food in that someone mentioned on here so i'm sure she will love that! The down side of this whole solids thing is the stinky normal looking poos! I want non smelling breast feeding poos back!!lol. She is almost sitting on her own, she can sit for a short while unaided but as soon as she goes to grab something she topples over as she mucks up her balance. This is a problem as she grabs everything! nothing is sacred and everything is edible! It is so funny. She is just so adorable! I love her so much!
Just quickly...
Cass - I hope your back gets better, it isn't nice to have a sore back. I also hope that you find a nice new home for your cat, that would have been a very hard decision but his behaviour is not nice for you to have to deal with.
Ali - I hope Emy gets better soon. I had been a bit under the weather for the past week and was really worried that Grace would get it, but *touch wood* so far so good.
Sarah - I'm glad Ari is doing better for you. You may have mentioned this, but have you tried different brands and types of formula?
Cass - I hope Izzy is getting better, not nice when they are sick.
Sorry it is just a quick one but glad to hear things are going relatively well. Take care and speak soon.

:hello: :grouphug:
Im so sorry I havent posted for sucha long time.. a really really long time. Being back at work is definately hard when it comes to fitting other things in, im doing 20hrs per week at a little legal firm in fremantle which is only 10kms from home. When I get home all i want to do is hug and kiss Kaiden so i dont get on the computer much.
Everyone seems to be doing well, although a lot of the bubbies are getting sick only the first of many times i guess as they get older. Kaiden will be 6 months on Wed, very exciting. He is still sleeping on his belly and crawling to the top of the cot so his head is hitting the end of the cot so i ahve to go in there and pull him down to the bottom. He is sitting up on his own for about 2 minutes which is quite good, eating solids and as the same as Rachel i have given him apple in his net thing which he loves. he has a huge scream on him, sometimes i think the neighbours in the next suburb can here him.. hehe Mark had a wonderful fathers day yesterday. he was proud as punch. Next big event Christmas, and i cant wait will be a very special one.
Im going well, all the weight i lost just after i had Kaiden is now back on and im struggling to loose it, i go to the gym three times a week but still not helping, i guess it doesnt help that i am still eating crap all the time. Its so hard to loose this baby fat..
Well ebtter go as im at work.
Cheerio to everyone, im sorry again i havent been on and cant individually post..

WE are even dearing to go back out in the public tomorrow, to pick up one of her christmas presents (it came through raincheck got the letter to pick it up yesterday)Izzy can sit for liek a whole minute or two its very cute, she sits there smiling :)
I'm 21 in 27days (1oct) hehe! I can't wait! Trying to organise my 21st party now, Im having a lovely day in the park with family and friends, very childrens orientated, which is what i wanted... I keep getting asked why i am not having the whole big **** up i had planned 3 years ago, lol, lets say priorites have changed ~ i had a few friends over drinking the other night, and i was like this is soooo not my scene! i'd rather go laydown and watch izzy sleep (so thats what i did, hehe)
Awww - and goo look in the woohooo forum page - some good news of mine in there :)
Caoi!

Cass_Blob - I congratulated you in there, but will do it here too! YAY!!!!! Are people really expecting you to have a huge **** up when you will have a 6 month old baby? Are they insane? What crazies... Just do whatever you want to do... My 21st would have been a lot better if it had been just a day in the park - way too much alcohol involved for everyone present...
I think I said previously that I was going to wait to start Emy on food, but then changed my mind. Have been giving her Farex for the last week, and then today gave her some pumpkin. The first mouthful she screwed her face up, but after that she LOVED it, and couldn't get her mouth wide enough to get say she wanted more. And the only bit that she really spat out was the last mouthful, which I think she was just full - so it wouldn't have been that messy except that J interrupted me for 2 seconds when she was ready for a mouthful, and then stuck both of her hands in her mouth. She was sooooooo cute though covered in pumpkin. J took some great photos of her all proud of herself... so cute!!!

Hi all, assignment finished, so now i have to deal with the housework aftermarth. Ari has conjunctivitus - I have no idea where from. and she is not a happy chappy.
Ali - glad to hear Em likes her food!
Bec and Sonia good to hear from both of you again!
Cass - i think your 21st sounds great. Mine was quiet also as i had horrible ms. We went for lunch with family (only meal I could keep down) Just think in a few years your friends will be coming to you for advice because they will be having kids and settling down too.
Rachel - Can't remember what was on the other page but hello!

My 21st is finally comming together, had a few hiccups with dates because i had it for the sunday and my mother complained said she wanted it the saturday so i changed it ot the saturday so now its saturday... and she rang me up last night, and complained again saying she might not be able to make it on the saturday! I felt like grapping her throught the phone and slapping her!but anyways its saturday and staying that day! Ive got the tables reserved at the park, 2 friends doing decorations, just gotta send out hte rest of invitations (everyone knows when it is) and just gotta think about food... aghhh...
Anyways im totally off subject this is a pregnancy/baby site! so i'll get back to that matter! My best friend had a gorgeous baby boy yesterday afternoon! 7p13oz, and is absolutly gorgeous! I didnt go in with her, whcih was originally planned because it happen so fast... But shes healthy hes healthy and i was the first one that got to see them both! And today she was very sweet and made me cry! She needed some pawpaw cream and i asked her if she'd like me to get some for her, thats a good reason to see bubs! and she turned around and said i never need an excuse to see them im welcome anytime, i'm Chris's adobted mum! and that made me cry! ohh, meant so much!
