It's 7:55pm, Yasmeenia is asleep. She went to bed at 7:15pm, woke up 15 mins later as always and I managed to get her back to sleep. Yesterday I saw her one of the bottom tooth. Few weeks ago I spelt something whenever I would breastfeed her. I felt it with my finger first and you can see the little tooth sticking out. Wow. She is almost there with her crawling.

Hi All,
How was everyone's christmas?
We had a nice day here. Like I had said, we just stayed put. Cameron was a good boy, woke at 7am, well he was slightly stirring, so we decided we were too excited  to sleep (I'd been awake from 5.30 when Cameron stirred a little, but he went back to sleep). We got the video camera and went in saying Merry Christmas to Cameron - he was all smiles and giggles. We managed to get 2 presents opened (with my help, though he was trying to rip the paper with me) - he got the little lounge from us and that ball he had been eyeing off when it was all wrapped up. He was then ready to feed. We then opened a couple more, then it was food time. As it was christmas and I knew DH had been anxious to give him this - Cameron had his first taste of custard. Think he enjoyed it, but I know DH enjoyed giving it to him more .
We managed to get the last presents opened (and put together and batteries in) then it was time for his morning nap. This is our new routine that he'll sleep about 2hrs til 11am, then wake for about 3hours, then down for another 2- 2.5hrs. Worked out well as other family popped in during his wake time and got to have cuddles and see him with his presents.
So many of his presents need batteries though. Luckily a few weeks ago we begun collecting rechargables, but we still need more .
Yesterday we just had a family day at home day, helping Cameron play with his presents. I also dismantled the christmas tree - as it took up too much of Cameron's playing space in the lounge plus Cameron kept semi-crawling under it.
Jess - Sorry Tiahna's given a few bad nights, I was so hoping she would give you a sleeping through present. Hopefully though with those top teeth through it might improve soon .
Girl - Yay on the tooth :hooray:, was this her first tooth?
When Cameron wakes we are going to go to the markets. I want to have a look for one of those inserts for the grocery trolleys. Has everyone else got one? Where did you get yours? I've only found them in toys r us, but didn't like the 1 style they have, especially for that price. Cameron got $20 from his grandparents (the IL's), so will put this towards it.
I know it may sound a little ungrateful, but I was very disappointed in their present, I would've thought they could've bought him a present rather then taking the easy option of money. The only thing they have ever bought him was a teddy bear when he was born- but he has so many and it's not one I can give him to play with as it has eyes and nose that can fall off, so it ain't that special. I know they already have 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, but I would've thought they could put more effort into it. Especially as this is there 1st grandson and we are in the same city as them (the others live in nsw and sa). They cry poor, but don't seem to have problems scrapping money together so MIL can go overseas or doing things around their house..GRRR:angry:... sorry about that rant... better now.
Well better go start to get ready.
Hope everyone has a nice day and enjoying the time with their family. DH is back at work on Monday, but it's been nice having a few days together (he is catching up on :asleep:now).
Bye for now
-
Hi, its very quiet in here as expected.
Girl- YAY on the tooth... Hope it hasnt given Yasmeenia to much trouble...
Bec- My DP is back to work monday also so is catching up on some :asleep: too... I brought heaps of batteries also... should have just paid the extra for rechargable ones though... alot of things are flat already with DS going crazy and playing with so many things over the last 2 days... SOunds like Cam is in a very good routine... IKWUM about grandparents... My FIL brought DD a lunch box set??? when she was born he brought size 1 clothes and this christmas he brought wonter stuff in 00??? it justs fits her now so we wont get much wear out of it unfortunatley...
Also what is everyones thoughts on P.J's with "HIGH FIRE DANGER LABLES" I was shocked and discusted when i saw this on the P.J's from FIL... Why do they make kids clothes with this material if there is a high danger??? i mean they gop to the effort to put a warning on them why not just use different safe material???
Well last night i decided to try DD on a bottle of formula... i hoped it would help her sleep... Well good thing was she drank 150mls from the bottle ... :leap: :cheer: bad news was it lasted all of 15 mins in her tummy... She was snuggling up with me and i thought she was ready for bed when suddenly she started choking i sat her up and she threw up a little bit i cleaned her up with the spew cloth an then laid her down a bit and it happened again... This time when i sat her up a bit it just kept comming out... Like violently throwing up... I was panicing there was so much... she was choking on it and DP was no help... i think maybe that formula doesnt agree with her so might have to try the HA one??? after a shower cos we were both covered in it i had to give her both sides of BB and she woke up every 2 hours last night again but it was like i had nothing for each feed... she's always wantng solids lately so it makes me think she isnt getting enough milk??? She's been very sooky also so maybe its cos she's hungry... She had the bottle no probs so i think i might go up and buy a HA tin... what do you think???
-
Bec, it's her first tooth. It's so cute. But she is a terrible sleeper still  It's so funny when she has tummy time, she does circles, turning around different angles.

Hi everyone
We had a great christmas, Hamish was very spoilt as we expected and behaved very well with rellies he had not seen before, he will go to anyone with a big smile. Yesterday was not such a good day, he had a temp all day and hardly slept more than 15 min at a time. Poor little man i think it must be his top teeth. Today he has just woken after over 2 hour sleep which is good, and his temp is down to 37.7 so its getting better. He is almost crawling, he goes backwards alot now and crawls a little but not that strongly yet. We are off on holidays Monday for 4 nights to Dp family holiday house which will be good. Dp is on holidays until the 12th Jan.
Jess - i would try the ha maybe, maybe ask mchn or at chemist they may know more about them. Hamish has one formula bottle before bed now too, i just dont have enough milk atm.
Girl - yay on yasmeena's tooth, hope you had a great christmas.
Bec - ikwym about giving money, its just not the same, DD's dad gives the worst presents to her only spending the bear minimum or gives her money and usually only $20 what a scab..
Hope everyone else had a nice chrissy, will pop back in later/
-
I probably felt DD's tooth probably 4-5 weeks ago. I just never examined it. I normally say "Don't bite mummy'. School classes start within two weeks, I need to get Yasmeenia in bed by 7:30pm without her waking up within 20 mins :wall:. It is so frustrating. She naps twice during the day for at least 20-40 mins. For the past 4 weeks she always wakes up within 20 mins when it is bedtime. Putting her back to sleep is like a battle. As soon as I put her down she wakes up. I've tried control crying but she doesn't stop crying. I get so tired, I just allow her to play and stay awake until she gets tired. I try again at 8:30pm, no luck. Again at 9:30pm, no luck. She falls asleep by 10pm after cuddling while I feed her. I feel as though getting her to sleep after 7:30pm takes up too much time. Also, I feel like she does not sleep without being on the breast. My goal within the next 2 weeks is to have her in bed by 7:30pm without her waking up. Any suggestions ladies? How long does it take for you to put your DD/DS to bed? Her bad sleeping behaviour is really killing me. Help?

Hi all!
Hope everyone's recovered from their festivities, ready for the next lot! We've had an eventful week... lots of people, music, animals, accidents and adventures! There have been at least 25 people here, camping and partying at my mum's place in the rainforest, for the last four days. We had a marquee and live music, and way too much food! DS is crawling, eating grass, and being a bit feral. He has one top tooth cut thru now, and that's made him pretty wretched but there's been heaps of people here to give him cuddles and distract him! The other day he was napping on the bed, and he woke up and climbed over the pile of pillows around him and crashed onto the floor. That was a pretty sickening noise, something I don't want to hear again. But he wasn't hurt, and recovered from the fright after a few tears and a warm bath. DP panicked tho! I had to keep him calm too, even tho I was freaked out as well. Panic doesn't help anyone. The next day, DP was washing DS up in the bathroom and DS grabbed at the razor in someone's toiletry bag that was hanging near the towels! There was nothing to be seen at first, so DP brought him back to the partying, but then I noticed there was blood all over his hand. It was just a tiny cut, and DS didn't even feel it, but it was bleeding everywhere. Scary.
Also, he's finally started saying "mum". He waited till we were in the middle of a crowded supermarket and just started yelling "mumumumumum" really loud  cheeky kid.
Despite all the madness and chaos, we've managed to get back to an almost bearable sleeping routine, and he's been sleeping thru a few times. But going to bed at 7 or 7:30 and waking up at 4:30 is a bit of a pain. My mum's partner is a musician, and just gets home from his gigs at about 3, so we're hardly seeing much of him. I'm trying to get DS onto QLD time and keep him awake a bit later, but it's hard. At least he's sleeping, and managing to have good naps too. It will be interesting trying to get him to sleep in his cot when we get home tho.
Anyway, I'm not going to comment on the whole Christmas thing coz nothing surprises me anymore. I'll just say that I think people are weird, and there's something about this time of year bringing out the very worst in family members, it seems! I'm glad we don't get into it much in our family. I don't have the patience or required tact to bite my tongue and behave myself!
Girl - I think Yasmeenia needs more sleep! For your sake, and hers :) I can't help with the settling ideas, since DS feeds to sleep at night as part of our routine (and my mum says I was the same!) but I think having a routine of sorts is really helpful. Just little things that tell Yasmeenia that it's time to quieten down, relax and go to sleep, and that it's ok to sleep. Good luck!
OK, time for breakfast! BBL maybe, in a few days! Happy new year, ladies!
-
Last night was terrible. Now she is asleep (8:30pm- bedtime). She always feeds to sleep, that is her routine, which I don't like but have been doing since she was born. Hopefully she won't wake up within 15 mins  as always.
-
Oh great! She is awake. Within 5 mins, that's a record:doh:

Hi all,
Well after our horrid throwing up incident things have been better... I have been refusing night feeds. Last 2 nights i have been just going in putting music on covering her up and walking out. !st night we had 3 wake ups and i did this and she went back to sleep 2 times needing me to go in a second time to repeat... Last night was good 2 wake ups and no need to repeat... i really hope this is the start f a new good thing... Am off to the CHN to see about the formula... I really wish i had the supply to keep going but its like she's SOOOO hungry... I'll still be doing as many BF as i can and just Topping up with the formula at night... few days off 7 months... maybe it didnt count cos it didnt stay in her belly... LOL.... :( but i still got to the 6 month goal FULLY BF so i guess i should be hapy with that...
Abb- Glad you had a god christmas... Hope you have a good holiday...
Girl... Have you thought about contacting the sleep schools??? Karitane or... Hmmm whats the other one... i'll get back to you with the name... I would speak with your MCH or CHN and see if they can recommend one... Mine did... you can either stay there for few days or you can get info about how to help bubs... have you changed your whole routine?? if you want to stop the feeding to sleep the my suggestion would be to stop it for EVERY FEED... the sleep school would probably tell you to follow the feed play slee routine... Its hard but once bubs gets used to it things should get easier. the idea is so bubs gets used to self settling... If bubs is used to comfort settling then thats what she'll require... It works for some but if you need the change then you have to stick to it and yes be tough and follow it through...
Start with 1st wake up. i let DD play for a bit then feed then she plays for as long as she can. When i see her rubbing eyes or getting grumpy i know she's getting tired.
I then play with her to wear her out a bit more then use the dummy have some calm talking moments, maybe read a book quietly
I then pop her into the cot. Put some music on, make the room dark etc no talking once in the room and no eye contact, walk out once she's laying down and music is on... Repeat if i have too... if after 3-4 times or if she is way too unsettled and crying too much i go in patt her- still no talking or eye contact... if she is at the screaming stage i pick her up and try later... No feeding though just bring her back out to the loungeroom have a snuggle or play then try again once she is settled. then once she has gone to sleep and woken back up i repeat it... If its a time when she has a solid feed i do a BF then 1/2 hour later a solid then i might give her a drink of BB if she is tired then i dont cos she falls asleep. you need to notice the tired signs if you want it to work. Its very hard at 1st to break the cycle but once she learns to self settle then she'll start to know that she can lay there and drift off by herself. Now that DD can self settle there is an occasional feed that i dont mind if she falls asleep... but only cos she has been self settleing for a while... Good luck...
NaNa- poor bubba... I know how easily things can happen... glad Aadi is ok after both the fall and the razor cut... hope DH is on now too... (IKWYM about the panicing... DP did with the vomiting thing too ) Glad your holiday is going so well... i'm so lealous of everyone on holidays... New mortgage so were not going anywhere...
well best be off... time to clean up

Hi All,
Girl - Sorry your having trouble with Yasmeenia''s sleeping. Ditto to what Jess said, it's exactly what I was thinking. Just remember when you try the new routine to give it at least 3 days before altering it. I changed Cameron's routine the other week and sleeping during the day (now just has a morning and arvo sleep, cut out the lunch time one) and it did take a few days to get him use to it (was a little trickier to get him to sleep this morning though, as the last few days have been totally out of wack with Christmas and DH home). Hope it all sorts out soon for you's
Abb - Hope your having a nice little holiday. And also hope Hamish is feeling better. Has those top teeth popped through yet. Good to hear he is happy to go to anyone. Cameron's like that happy to go to anyone, but after a while he does like to just be put down on the ground (gets sick of being held I think).
NaNa - How scary with the fall and the razor. I've never been able to trust Cameron on the bed, that's why I could never let him sleep in our bed - he is such a mover - he's been like that since he was 3 months (when he rolled pretty much). Glad he is ok.
Jess - Don't worry - no holidays here either. DH and I haven't had holidays together for many years, as usually he'd get xmas off whereas I could never take christmas holidays, it was our busiest time at the bank. This year I was off and DH had to work.
And Jess - I think you should be very proud about being able to BF Tiahna still and reaching your goals , I know I am. I was only saying yesterday how I remember week 2 where I thought I was drying up and DH had to run down the shops to get a tin of formula cause I was in tears and thought I was starving Cameron. And of the many 'whinges' I'd had on here thinking it was the end. Especially when I've done everything against the bf recommendations like missing feeds, occassional formula feeding -since week 20, Cameron's sleeping through since week 9, using nipple protectors. Now look at us, still going. I'm so proud of ourselves (I'm rarely using the formula now, it's just for convienence most of the time).
We went to markets Saturday, didn't find any trolley inserts. Decided to try an art and craft markets that set up along the beach front, so went there yesterday morning, still none. But had a walk along the broadwalk and showed Cameron the ocean. We ended up at a shopping centre after, as my mum had seen the trolley insert in Big W, but they've had none everytime I'd looked. Well finally I found 1, think it was the last one too. We ended up doing our grocery shopping there, so got to try it out. Worked well. Cameron seemed to enjoy sitting up. But time somehow got away from us and it was already 11am and due for his next feed. Luckily i'd taken a formula bottle, so popped Cameron into the trolley capsule and he ended up feeding himself the bottle (he'd never done this before). He then started yawning after his feed and fell asleep, (which costed us more, as we had finished shopping, so ended up going to have a coffee while he slept as didn't want to disturb him ).
Well, better go hang the washing out and get some housework done. Kinda lapsed a little with the housework over the last few days - now the house looks like a bombs hit it
Bye for now

Hi ladies
great to hear that you all had a great xmas, well mine was ok had a mil incident on xmas eve but i will get into details another time, abbie is whingy so i have to be quick.
Jess its totally fine about your comment on fb she did not see it i just did not want to take the chance of her seeing it, it made me laugh though thanks:-)
Tiahna looks like she loves her doll. Yeah i got abbie's ears pierced by the gun it was a spare of the o=moment things i just wnated to get them over and done with, i had been worring about nothing cause she was totally fine. Oh my goodness about the vomit argh!!!
Bec you and jess should be proud on still bf Well Done:clap: I got my trolly insert from pillow talk i thinkit was aboout $30 i think its great fits in a trolley and a high chair.
Nana sorry to hear about the razor and the fall, cut from a razor always bleed heaps. Abbie only says Dad dad dad, how rude but she still is a mummies girl.
Sassy i hope all is well with you and you had a great xmas!
Abbie has been SUPER clingy at the moment, i can't do anything she won't go to anyone its so frustrating, but if i am not here then she is totally fine with dh its only if she see's me ARGH!!!! Oh well i am sure she will grow out of it soon :-)
Abbie is fully sitting up now and has Two teeth, she is trying to push herself up onto her all fours while on her tummy but isn't quite there yet soon :-)
I was sooooooooooooooo spoiled at christmas, i got a new laptop ( so now dh can have the old one when it is fixed) new shoes, a watch, a digital frame, and a massage voucher! What did everyone else get?
Have a great day hi to everyone i have missed
Take care
nikki

Hi Everyone
Just a quick one for me as i need to start packing and organising things, we are off early in the morning, put it off a day as Dp needed to go into work this morning, He got a promotion Yay so it looks like i only need to keep working part time and wont need to go full time for awhile. So pleased as it is working really well, my shifts are mostly at night when Dp is home so i dont need child care.
Girl - i agree with Jess, there are also some great sleep schools, i have heard alot of people use them with great results, i hope it gets better for you soon.
Jess - You should be very proud of getting so far with feeding, my supply is hopless atm and i am giving Hamish a bottle before bed but really think i may have to put him on formula full time soon, i just dont seem to have enough milk, he seems hungry all the time now.
Bec- no top teeth as yet but i can see them coming down, wont be long i hope. ikwym about being sick of being held all the time, i have to tell dd to just put him on the floor about 10 times a day, she just wants to cuddle him all the time, which is nice but he needs time by himself also.
Nikki - wow you were spoilt at christmas, we bought dd a laptop and she loves it, i bought dp a navman (gps) for the car, he bought me a gold necklace and miss dior cherie perfume oh i love it, smells just beautiful.
NaNa - sounds like Aadi is having lots of adventures up north, some not so good, it is hard to watch them all the time so these things will happen luckily it was not serious, enjoy the remainder of your trip and try and get some rest.
Sass - how was Jayda's first chrissy?
We had a terrible night last night, not sure what is going on, Hamish has had a few days with a temp but it was back too normal yesterday, i put him to bed around 9 and he went down fine, but woke about 5 times between 11 and 3 i put the dummy in and he went back to sleep, then at 3.30 he was screaming the house down, couldn't settle him so i fed him and put him in bed with me and he slept until 9, i think he may have been hungry as i am not sure what else could have been wrong as straight after the feed he went to sleep. He seems fine today so i hope we dont have a repeat performance tonight. We are off early in the morning on holidays until Friday, we have to drive around 4 and half hours so fingers crossed he travels well again. Talk to you all again next week.

Hi All (again)
Just had to pop in and say
:bluecheer: Cameron did his first official crawl today. He finally worked out how to move his arms in relation to his knees.
It's kinda a bitter sweet moment, :hooray: that he's crawling and :boohoo: that he's growing up so fast and that now I won't be able to take my eyes off him. Luckily we finally got the child proofing done yesterday, just looking for something to put around our tv area to stop those inquistive fingers poking the vcr/dvd/xbox etc. Any ideas where I could do and where to look?
On other developmental news... I forgot to mention Cameron said 'Hello' last weekend(before Xmas). He looked at our dog sitting on the lounge, and clearly said hello to her, then he started laughing. He did it again 2 more times. It was so cute and funny . Then the following day he finally spat out 'Boo', he had been doing b..b...b for many weeks now. And then Christmas eve he said Mum (well I'm sure that's what he said, he was mumbling in his cot while I was playing peek-a-boo with him - no one around to help witness that one).
He is also sitting unassisted for about 2-3minutes. He is also almost pushing himself up from laying to sitting (he's trying to push himself up sideways, like starting on tummy then spinning his legs around and pushing himself up on the side, if you can understand what I mean... hard to explain, but I'm sure your bubs are probably doing it)
Abb - :hooray: on DP promotion, especially making it possible now for you to work part-time. What sort of work do you do (sorry, i'm sure you've probably mentioned it, bad memory here). Sorry you've had a bad night, maybe it's his top teeth still. Hope they lay low for a few days or pop threw tonight so you can enjoy your holiday.
Nikki - You were very spoilt.. you lucky mummy. Bet you deserved it though. Sorry Abbie is now going through the clingy stage. Cameron was like that the other week, but it seems to be over now :crossfingers:
We didn't do much for presents this year. I gave DH a DVD and he gave me a bottle of Kahlua. As I kept saying - I've already got my christmas present (Cameron) and that's all I'll ever need. I more looked forward to seeing him with his presents (and I lived the 'surprise' element through opening his presents from friends and family).
I realised today that our internet is being changed tomorrow. They are coming in the morning to connect the cable to the house, so I may not have internet for a few days (as we've never been lucky in getting things connected smoothly). Oh no...no internet ...hence why I posted twice today, double fix to hopefully get me through a few days without it.
In case I don't get back for a few days
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I wish everyone all the best for a wonderful, happy and healthy 2009 (though I don't think it could get much better then 2008 with the births of our precious bubs).
Bye for now

Hello All
sorry it has been so long since I have been on here, hope you are all travelling along well.
Nice to hear you all survived the crazy xmas season & inlaws :D
Just thought I had better give you all an update on little (Big) Zali.
Zali is now 10.6kg & 78cm long. She has 2 teeth came through at the same time (Bonus), crawls backwards, and says Bub Bub which was her first word, Daddad & Mummum she is a very talkative baby.
She loves eating whatever she get hold of, including rubber bands & buttons
We are going well and have bought a block of land and are going to be building early in the new year which is really exciting cause our 1 bedroom apt is getting really small especially after xmas.
Nana - I am glad your lil man is ok after his big adventure off the bed, I guess I have that to look forward to when Zali finally figures out how to go forward.
Bec 7 - congrats to cameron, that is great news and very exciting!
Abb that is wonderful news about the promotion and not having to go back to work full time. Enjoy it.
LMK - I know how you feel about the clingy thing, Zali is very much the same at the mo, she screams when I just walk past her even when DH has her, I try to keep out of sight but very hard to do in a small place.
Jess - that sounds tiring with the night wake ups I hope she gets better for you Yay on reaching your 6mth goal of BF.
Sorry to anyone else I missed but I had better get off here and start dinner.
Veggie mush anyone??
Have a great New Years and I hope all your lil munchkins behave for you into the new year.
Cheers
Mecil

Thanks so much Jess that is really helpful. I will start tomorrow. These past few days have been really bad. Sometimes I have allowed her to cry it out, it worked when she was 2 months. She only use to cry for 10 mins and sleep. Last night she wouldn't stop crying. We moved into a new neighbourhood, haven't met the neighbours yet, so our neighbours called the police about a "crying baby". It was somewhat embarrassing moment for me as a parent. I had to explain I was trying control cry method and that she has a tooth growing also. Just as she was about to sleep when the police officer asked to see the baby; What the! I showed him in she started playing and laughing :wall: It was a very long night, especial with the weather. Jess please do give me the details for sleep school. Obviously, moving houses, the weather, has changed our routine so I need to do something new.
-
Oh, I saw the second bottom tooth is starting to appear also
-
just had to let you know Liam got his 1st tooth for xmas. HOW CUTE
he got the second on boxing day
glad you all had a nice xmas. I will check in later
-
Girl.... Where abouts are you??? There are many sleep schools and places easier to narrow some down in your area... Also OMG about the neighbours calling the police... Are you in a unit??? DD had bad colic til about 5 months and was always screaming and never had the police called... (we were new here too... ) Dont be embarresed thou... these things happen.. And with them needing to see bubs its just their job to check the safety of the baby... You would think the neighbours would come over 1st hey??? I would go over and see them and introduce your self... Maybe explain your issues and how bubs wont sleep just incase it becomes something they do again...
Also YAY on the other tooth...
Deancey- YAY liam on the teeth... what a great christmas surprise... We have 4 teeth now and i'n a way i'm glad we have introduced a night bottle the biting it killing me...
Mecil- Great to see you back here... wow sounds like Zali is doing well.. She sounds alot bigger then my DD... and very long also... i havent had DD weighed yet might go on thursday. YAY on teh block of land also... i bet you cant wait to start building
Bec- YAY.... Its a bit like that... exciting but in the back of your head its like "oh no" thats what were going through... DD can do it but still prefers the old way... DD's talking has quietened down a bit... she back into that listeneing and squeeling stage again... like testing out different sounds andvolumes... lol
Abb- YAY on DH's promotion... Thats awesome... Were having issues with DP's work they decided no bonus this yr... Everyone was counting on it and they didnt tell anyone till the day before christmas... DP is doing all this extra work for nothing... He's in charge of his crew and gets a measly $30 extra a week for it... Not happy jan... he's been getting up them and asking for more money or he's leaving and i'm worried he'll end up quitting and we have mortgage and stuff to pay for... It must be tough on him feeling like he's not worth a bonus and a payrise for the extra work and hours he's putting in... i just hope he can stay focused and not do anything rash...
Enjoy ur holiday
Thanks everyone for the BF support... Its part of the reason why i joined up here... You've all be a wonderful support for me and i just would like to thank each and everyone of you... I has gotten me through the tough times... I have accepted that our BF days will be numbered... Once i started the formula i knew that. I'm still offering it 1st but with DS once i started it my milk seemed to vanish VERY quickly...
On a good note if it means my BF days are over i'll be able to fully focus on my weightloss and drop these Kilo's by sticking to a stricter diet. and i'll be able to wear underwire bras again... WOO HOO... lol... gotta stay positive... Thanks again ladies

Jess,
We don't live in units, we live in a our house. We had purposely moved away from our previous house which were units, I hate units, because I consistently thought about the neighbours when Yasmeenia use to wake up during late hours crying. Our bedroom is closer to the neighbours backyard, so they must have been sitting outside or something. I too can't believe they didn't come over. DH was meant to go over there. He is going to do it today, introduce himself, mention the situation about take Yasmeenia with him. WOW@ 4 teeth and all the other babies. 7 months now huh? Wow!
-
Girl- i know here in sydney there is Karitane and Tresillian are like the main ones... In perth i think there is one called Ngala... I would speak with your community nurse or GP they may know of some one who is local to you..
I'm surprised at your neighbours... But then again at least you know that if something was every wrong they would take action and call the police...
-
Hi All,
Oh no - I'm back :wall:. Thought you'd gotten rid of me for a few days  . Our internets been changed over and it almost went smoothly, but thankfully I had a nice technician who did what we ordered (not what his paperwork said) - silly internet companies..they always stuff it up. But it is now so quick.. I love it.
Anyways....
Girl- How rude of your neighbours. If they were so concerned I would have though they could've popped over and spoke to you first, or possibly offered help. I would be so mad and I hold a big grudge. We had a nasty letter in our letter box not long after moving in this house complaining about our dog barking (turned out it was people behind us's dog barking). I think I worked out who wrote it (as it was annonymous), and I still don't wave to them when they wave to me..GRRR  . But hopefully your not as bitter as me. Sometimes babies just need to cry, I know there's been times where Cameron's cried histerically for 45mins (no matter what I did, he wouldn't calm). This happened weekly for a while there, your neighbours would have the police at my house all the time. Definitely look into the sleep school though. A few girls from mothers group took there babies there and have all been much happier for it. I could tell the difference within a week from the removal of the bags under there eyes. Good luck with it.
Mecil - Glad Zali is going well. She sounds really healthy and long. Guess all those rubber bands are helping her stretch out  Where abouts have you bought land? I live on the Gold Coast, but grew up in Logan.
Jess - Yes, there is always a positive out of everything. Good luck with the new dieting and weight loss. That's my new years resolution (especially when I'm bridesmaid in a wedding in about 10weeks, gotta get my act together). I don't mind now when my bfeeding days are over from now, (once again don't want to make the decision myself though), as then will get AF back. We'd like to start TTC again soon. DH mentioned it the other week about going again, so if takes us as long to get #2 as it did Cameron, better get started soon. We'd like to try ourselves a bit before resorting to fertility treatment again. I also just wanted to say thank-you for your support too. Everyone has been sooo helpful in here, particularly you . Your advise always makes sense to me.
Question - has anybody given their bubs milk yet? If so, how'd you go? If not, when do you think you'll give it a go? I was thinking about trying it in the next few weeks- on his cereal in the mornings.
Well that's all from me for now. But watch out, with this new 'so much faster' internet, it will be alot more tempting to log on and post, hehehe.
Bye for now

Jess,
Of course Ngala. The community health nurse that use to come to my old house works for them. How could I forget. I have yet to meet the new community health nurse in my area, I do remember telling my health nurse that I was moving and she told me to get in contact with her once I move so she could send my details to a nurse down here. I am definitely doing to the sleep school because my baby girl looks tired; her eyes. Nowadays she gets a little cracky whenever she wants something, if her bottle of water falls or toy, she cries for it. Also if you take something away from her.
Bec and Jess,
Yes my neighbour surprised me more this afternoon. Yasmeenia and I went outside to check the mail. I see a lady (next door neighbour), turns out to be a single mother with two children (5 year old and 8 month old). I introduce myself she does the same. BREAKINGNEWS: I told her something called the police about a ''crying baby'', she says it wasn't her. We make small talk, etc. I go back inside, when DH comes home, I tell him about meeting the neighbour and how it wasn't her. He says ''Of course it was her". Then I realise of course it was her!!! I can't believe she lied to my face. Because I remember the other neighbours coming over to inform us about the bin day and to introduce himself. He spoke to my husband, I was cooking that day, so the baby was in her pram. When my husband told him it was just Me, his wife (me) and his daughter who was 6 months at the time, he commented how quiet we were. So of course it was her who called the police. I cannot believe I was making plans to see this lady more. When I see her again I am going to say "It must have been you who called the police" and finish with her there. I hate liars. And I can't believe how naive I was. I instantly believed her. Oh goodness me!

Girl... I doubt if the woman will ever admit it was her... do you have people behind your house??? we have neighbours to the sides and behind... but also have alot of passers by...we had someone complain about the dog who just walked past... The main thing is bubs was fine... i guess you could just look at it in a different way... If you were ever in danger you know you could just scream (or cry... lol) and the neighbour will call the cops... haha... Also i have a sooky baby also... Now i have started formula at night feeds the last 2 days she's been playing alot more and i think its due to the better night sleep... the waking every 2-3 hours wasnt good for her... but obviously my supply wasnt good enough to sustain her overnight long ebnough to get decent sleep...
Also just wanted to say last night DD slept from 8.30 til 5.30 this morning... YAY :leap: so happy, reenergised and thankful... hopefully a few more nights like this and i'll feel like a new woman...
Sass- glad your chrissy went well...
Bec- Glad your change over went smoothly... i havent had AF and had my cervical cancer vaccine yesterday and the Doc made me to a preg test cos i hadnt had them... I was sweeting on a negative result... LOL... I remember how much i once wanted a positive but at the mom i'm just not ready... both physically and emotionally oh yeah and finalcially..Also thanks for the support on the BF... its been a tough journey but glad i could have the experience

i wish these teeth would hurry up. jayda is so sooky, if she cant see me she screams and even most of the time if i am right next to her she wants me to hold her it isnt like her.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
Hope that you had a nice night. We had friends over and played WII and the kids played. Liam woke up just before midnight so we kept him up to see the new year in.
Girl I am not sure I would ever confront your neighbour about calling the cops. I dont think she would admit it and it would make things very awkward.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just got a call from a friend to tell me that one of our friends had a baby 2 weeks ago and she didnt even know she was preg till she went into labour.
how is everyone getting through this heat? today was crazy here.

Hi ladies
Just a quick one this morning just so busy at the moment!
Abbie has been just as clingy as ever still, i dont know what to do its getting beyond a joke. I can't do anything without her attached to my hip. I made dh have her while the boys and i wen't for a swim yesterday and they were in side and i could hear her carrying on the entire time while i was in there. She just does not stop i either have to sit with her or hold her. The boys were NEVER like this they were always a bit clingy but not like this.
Sassy oh my god about your friend how would you be!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear about going back to work i did not get time off i worked right through. Enjoy your last few days off:D

Hi All,
Hope everyone had a nice new year celebration. We stayed home, and I pretty much hung about on here, as there was nothing on tv and everyone else was asleep...though Cameron did wake at 10.30, but after a quick little cuddle he went back to sleep.
Cameron has become very sooky over the last week though. He has woken a few times during the night and early morning. A few times it's required a cuddle to resettle, but we have been lucky most of the times he just sooks for a couple of mins and goes back to sleep by himself. He's also been strange when trying to bf a few times, like this morning. He just screamed when I went to bf, I could see he wanted it though, but when he began to suck he'd just scream and cry. I ended up giving an exp bm. He's done this a few times over the last week. Not sure if he's got a sore throat, maybe another tooth is coming through (though can't really see any and none of the other teeth symptoms are here), or he might just be feeling lazy. He went through a similar faze a few months ago. Hopefully it'll work itself out soon, we are going to a friends house today, so will take bottles I think.
Girl22- Did you end up confronting that neighbour? I was also thinking maybe it might not have been her. My dog complaint that time was from a neighbour 3 houses down the street.
Jess - Yay on Tiahna's sleeping. Maybe she was hungry afterall. Also Yay on the negative. I probably can't really afford to have a positive either right now, but when I think about it long term it would probably be cheaper if I could fall myself without fertility treatment.
Sassy - Hope Jayda's teeth pop through soon. Sorry your break is up. But hopefully with your new hours it won't be bad. And wow on your friend not knowing she was pregnant. Looking back now...did she have any symptoms? Did she even show? I can't imagine not knowing I was pregnant.
Deancey - Glad you had a good night. We are thinking about getting a Wii, they sound so fun. Dh might get one for his birthday in March I'm thinking.
Nikki - Sorry to hear Abbie is very clingy. Makes it hard to do much hey. Cameron has his clingy moments, but he is not too bad though. But I still have trouble getting things done around here sometimes cause he just wants to be held. I have heard that this 7month time frame is when they get those seperation anxiety feelings, hopefully it doesn't last for too long.
Well better go get ready.
Bye for now,

Hi all...
Well New years went well here... We took the kids to see the local 9pm fireworks cos there was no way i was heading into sydney for them... DS and DD both loved them... I thought DD would be scared but she was squeeling and laughing she loved all the colours... We came home straight after them and for somereason no one was sleepy so we stayed up and DS fell asleep at 11.30... we ended up waking him up as there was Tonns of fireworkd out side and he was so excited to see them... DD slept from 9 and the noise didnt wake her up so that was a bonus...
She has been very clingy, sooky and well grumpy... she has started making this horrid noise hard to explain like a grunt but like a longer one... like she's frustrated or something... Its very annoying and driving DP and i insane... She wants to do things herself... like feeding she wont eat unless she can do it and woow you try to help and she'll do this noise and throw herself back... So its been lots of finger type foods for her... I tried her today on some dried fruit... (there like little the little sultana packs, i get them for DS) she enjoyed helping herself... i just cut them up a little more thou...
She's loving the JJ for a change i think its just different from sitting or crawling... but she dosnt last long if i walk away... DP is getting annoyed at the house cos its always a mess but he doesnt help at all... Sometimes i think if i had a job it would be so much easier... I mean DP goes to work comes home and does jack crap... ok i'm home all day but the kids are like my job... DS has speech issues were working on and DD is a clingy and sooky so i'm always doing something for one of them if not both... I keep telling him to watch them for an hour so i can get into it and get it done but he lasts 5 mins... Last night i said pick one clean the kichen or bath the kids...instead of picking he startd *****ing how the house is messy... Like just help out and it wont be... Its likei have 3 kids... :wall:
Sass- hope the teeth come in soon... we've had 4 for few weeks now... also OMG about ur friend.. how did she not know????
Deancy-sounds like you had a fun new years... i love the Wii... Which ispart of my resolution... to use the Wii fit more...
LMK- Abbie sounds like DD... its so frustrating isnt it...
Bec- Having issues with DD and BF... I think she has gotten used to the bottles free flow... She sucks few times then gives up i have to really work in it with her... She has slept through everynight since starting the formula for bed... Its amazing... She wakes few times last night once and i just put muic on and dummy in and walk out... this morning she slept in til 8... Woo Hoo.... I'd love another one but need to drop weight 1st... i'm at the heviest i have EVER been... i hate myself for not sarting earlier... i mean i'm bigger now then while pregnant...
Well best be off... Time to Wii fit it...

well i went and seen my friend today and it all seems sus i think she knew. she went missing for 7 months then came back with a 2week old claiming she didnt knwo she was preg.
also she said when she went into labour her housemate came in and told her she was in labour. but if u didnt knwo someone was preg u woudl think they had appendisitis (sp) or somethign not assume they r having a baby lol.
jess: i am the same as u with the weight. also we wanna start tryin again after jaydas 1st bday but i really need to loose weight first.
-
Lol@at the friend not knowing she was pregnant. Is she fat? Sorry if that comment was offensive or insensitive, but I was wondering she didn't know she was pregnant unless she was in denial.
Bec,
I didn't confront her yet. I haven't seen her. I have decided instead to ignore her.
Jess,
It's her alright, no one else.

Hi everyone just a quick one this morning as i am running late again. Anyhow we came back early from our holiday as Hamish was not sleeping well and has been so grouchy etc i thought he may have been sick but i took him to doctor on friday afternoon and he said there was nothing wrong and most probably was just teething. He has been pooing like 5 to 6 times a day and omg ewww they are lethal but doctor said its common ith teething, yuck.. Since we have been home he has slept all night with no wake ups, 3 nights in a arow *crosses fingers*, so not sure if it was teething or just unsettled from travel and strange place that upset him.
Hamish and Maddi were so spoilt from Dp's family, we couldnt fit all presents in the car so had to leave a few to be picked up next time. It is ridiculous really on the amount of things Hamish has now and to think he will be one in 5 months and there will be more toys etc. I have put some away in cupboard and will swap them around every few weeks so then he wont get bored and thinks he has new things all the time. lol
Oh bugger he is awake and i havent showered yet, i need to get my proriotys in order before getting on here. Will try get back later for personals.

Hi All,
Geez, it's been rather quite in here :shhh:. How's everyone doing? Hope everyone's bubs are behaving themselves.
We've had a good few days. Went to a friend from mother's groups house Friday, hadn't seen her for about 2months. It was good to catch up and see her daughter, who is a month older then Cam. They played on the floor for a while together, but what is it with little girls always trying to grab Cam's face. This always only seems to happen with the girls with us, maybe Cam just has a face you just want to squeeze.
Yesterday was good too. We woke at 6.45, did the usual play milk play food and bed about 9am. DH and I also decided to have more of a lay down, and next thing I know Cam's crying...I look at the clock and 3hrs had passed. We then went to our friend's house for an afternoon BBQ (the friend who's got the cancer on her foot). Lucky Cam had had that big morning sleep and I just couldn't get him to sleep at their house. Even took the portacot, but he just wouldn't give. He ended up being awake from 12 when he'd woken til when we left, about 8.30. He only grumbled a little, he was a very good boy considering. And he even slept ok last night - thought he might stir after having such a day. Very proud of him .
Well, that's all for me for now... better go do some house work before Cam wakes and we go out.
Bye for now

Hi all... Wow i expected to have pages to catch up on... I have tonsilitis and my whole body is acheing... I'm having trouble moving round my back and legs dont want to suport me... My head is pounding and i cant swollow my own saliva... Its not good... DD i think may be sick also but she wouldnt let the GP examine her properly... I'm on Anti Biotics and Neurophen which i thought i couldnt take while BF but its only for the 1st 3 months that your not allowed...
We've been getting some gok ssleeps but DD has still been making these horridthroaty grunty type noises... Hard to explain... VERY annoying... She's so sooky and cranky but i guess i have been too the way i'm feeling... DP is off tfor a week away with work so i'm home alone with the kids sick... Damn...
