OMG my child has put himself to sleep gain, my god do I have a changed child, what has come over him, finally he is giving mummy a break, I am so pleased, very very happy mummy today, WOW I still can't believe it.
I noticed the first time I layed him down over his wrap instead of wrapping him (with the muslim - as I have decided not to wrap him during the day anymore, but still do at night), he was pulling the wrap over his face. Seems he needs something over his face as he went to sleep.
The next sleep I gave him a comforter someone gave him as a gift and again over the face and again went to sleep. Only thing is this is alot thicker then a muslim and had to keep goin in 2 check he was ok and breathing. Once he was asleep I just pulled it back away from his face.
OMG can you believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheree ~ Wtg Lachie it is so nice when they reach little milestones isn't
Nat ~ i'm so glad Em liked his swimming lesson i'm looking into something for Ryan but where i live we don't have much variety unless i travel the 40 minutes to Toowoomba
Sara ~ i've done absolutely nothing lol
-
Ohhh and the CHN told me to try Lachie with Yoghurt seeing as he seems to be a bit of a sweet tooth and is refusing everything else atm and HE LOVES IT. Yay again!!!! Things definitely went my / our way today YAY YAY YAY
-
Sara: When we lived in Melb I always watched Maternity Ward, I loved it! I haven’t watched it since we got Austar. I wish Jayden would sleep til 7am now….He was up at 6.05am this morning, luckily he goes straight back to sleep after a feed though so I can get ready for :crying: work
Kim: I’m so sorry to hear about your poor baby rosella!! Naughty mummy for not caring for your babies! I hope the others survive. Have you been watching Meerkat Manor? I had tears in my eyes after the first baby was dumped and left to die then last week all but 2 in the litter died…I was devastated!
Vic: I can’t believe I have let him get away with it for so long either….and he did a great job with the nappy too. I was trying to get him to change another one as soon as I got home yesterday so I could get a pic of it but as soon as he saw I was getting the camera he left and told me to do it LOL. Baby steps haha A medal sounds like a good idea I might have to look for one hehe. Yay for the help from your niece…that would have been nice! Did you get your laptop fixed?
OMG Jayden was on his back when I put him down and I just looked up and he was on his belly!! YAY that’s only the 2nd time he’s done back to belly!! Bugger I missed it haha
Beck: :crossfingers: AF shows up soon!! Sorry to say but I am a little curious as to how you DTD with Cam’s back LOL
Sheree: I’m telling you on MSN right now but OMG @ Lachie’s weight gain and him putting himself to sleep!!! Things are definitely looking up!!
Nat: Oh Em would be loving Kindagym now…how exciting! Was that the first time Em’s been in water? Lachie and Jayden both took to the water very quickly, Sheree and I were very surprised!!
Jayden had his first day at day care today….I went to pick him up and the boy poor was sooking and wouldn’t let me go. He was fine when I dropped him off and while he was there he was an absolute angel. I can’t believe how tired I am after just 4hrs of work!! DP and a guy from work were talking about me whinging at going back to work and saying they would love to work 4hrs a day…..I told both of them that I have gone from not working at all for 6mths to working 4 hrs a day and my job at home doesn’t stop I still have a baby to look after, the house to clean and shopping to do. I don’t think DP still understands but the guy at work does haha
Anyway I have washing to finish and a dinner for one to think of…BBL maybe
oxoxox

NOisy buggars......
Feeling a bit how ya going today....don't know why. Darcy is very hmmmm laobur intensive the last couple of days. She had a wee blood blister on her gum, but it's gonee now. Hope they stay away.
Sheree it's like an epiphany when they start to do it by themselves isn't it? Your posts def sound a bit more upbeat. Wish I could catch you on MSN.
Vic, you could give me more than 4 bucks LOL! What a nice kid.
Sara and Shazz, I'm in the SAME boat. I do about 15 minutes a day to keep it at respectable level.
Tania why do they have no clue???
Beck I'm curious about the DTD too? (cheeks blushing - well the others asked :))
Wow Nat you've been busy. I'd love to take Darcy to kindergym, but the finances just can't support it.
I got in trouble by the nurses at mothers group today for turning the carseat around well before we should have. What and put up with her legs being squashed until she's 9kgs? That will be about March at this rate - I don't think so. Darcy's head control is like no other babies I've seen. They told me I might be charged as negligent if we had a crash and she was injured because the carseat wasn't being used as it specifies? Are they kidding? Most COPS wouldn't even know how to fit one let alone which way it should face.....alright off my high horse....
-
Gee Kim I have been tempted to turn our carseat too, Lachies head control is also very good, don't worry bout what they say you know you are doing the right thing. Maybe take a video clip of her to proove how strong she is, I don't know, just a thought!
Tania - bugger at missing Jayden roll, Lachie just won't do it anymore like he use too, must be too heavy now to lift his weight LOL.
-
Sounds like everyones little ones are doing well - lots of rolling, sleeping, crawling and eating!! YAY to the May babies!!
We have had a terrible 24 hours - Jesse is sick - he has a runny nose, awful cough and temperature. We went to the Dr this afternoon and the Dr said he has a virus so antibiotics are not going to help at this stage, but to keep the panadol up.
He slept terribly last night and hasnt fed well today so my guess is we are in for a tough night again. The joys of being a parent. I suppose having an older brother means that he is exposed to germs and illnesses more so than a first child - the up shot is that hopefully he will eventually have a tough little immune system.
A question for everyone - do you still give your baby a top up feed at night. I cant remember when we stopped giving the top up feed to our eldest. Jesse has a feed before he goes to bed at about 6.45 pm and then I top him up again at 10.15 pm before I go to bed - he hardly wakes up at this feedand then he is back in bed by 10.30pm.
We turned Jesse around in his car seat this week and he loves it - a much happier little traveller. he cant sit up on his own yet - although I dont think he is too far away, but he has great head control.
Anyway hope you all have a good night - talk soon.

Evening Girls,
I managed to get my jobs done. Just finished folding the washing and stuff. I was really irritated at the washing up tonight. Normally i can just finish it but tonight i was like grrrrrrr. Must be AF. Brent always manages to leave me a sh*t load of it on the sink.
Not sure why i am telling you all this, but these are my night time duties once Briley has gone down:
* Do washing up
* Fold any washing & put away
* Feed animals
* Clean up loungeroom
* Make bed (brent is on n/s and ALWAYS leaves it unmade!)
* Sometimes Ironing
* Tidy Briley's room
Yeah so thats what i do. Then i am on the computer till around 10.30pm!!:)
Briley was very cranky this arvo. She has been soooooo clingy that last couple of days. She does'nt even like Brent walking out of the room. She fell asleep on the couch around 6.30pm tonight and then woke up screaming about an hour later. So i gave her some panadol and she is sleeping now. I hate not knowing what i wrong with her. Its either tummy ache or gums. I am thinking gums cause when she woke up screaming she turned the dummy around straight away and was chewing on it.
I have been visiting the June baby buddies the last couple of days and there is a MASSIVE debate going on over there about that story that was on 60mins about the AP (attached parenting i have been informed!). A couple of girls have even left the thread cause of the heated discussions!! I was going to make is a regular thing but i think i may just stick with what i know!! Which ofcourse is all you lovely ladies!!:p
Anyways...I am tired.
Hope everyone is well.
Talk tomorrow
Ciao

Okay personals… I’m going back a few pages to the last thread. Did I mention why I was off line? I broke my computer LOL… my power supply went so that’s why I’ve been keeping myself so busy hehe!
Thank you for all of the 5 month birthday wishes for Emerson!
Sara ~ How did the house warming go?
Leanne ~ Glad to hear that Kaitlyn doesn’t have chickenpox. LOL @ her talking to her hands that aren’t talking back! Its good to hear that we are all helping you with
Beck ~ YAY for Jovi going off to sleep by herself. And yes who cares about how the house looks! WOW @ thinking you might be PG.
Tania ~ LMAO @ cracking DP’s back! That’s funny! The pics of the two boys together were just adorable – especially the matching outfits!
Kim ~ Name change hey?! Nice work. Apparently you can get ornaments where they print bubs photo onto them and they have the year on them. Then each year you get a new one. I haven’t seen them but they sound really cool. I am getting those ones made up – one for each of us! Did you get the results of the U/S? YAY for selling your bird cage! Em has rolled off the bed twice LOL… both times completely fine but my heart was in my throat and I felt terrible for not being able to grab him in time considering I was on the bed too!!!
Vic ~ OMG @ Mel and that other kid – its not funny at all but it bought a smile to my face LOL!
Sheree ~ I mix in fruit with vegetables for Emerson as well – the nurse told me that trick and now he eats his dinner and not just dessert! I am so glad to hear that things are finally starting to get better for you and Lachie! WOOT on the weight gain!
Jemima ~ Welcome to our thread!! Thanks for sharing your background with us! A lot of us were posting when we were pregnant together so we’re quite familiar with each other. I did notice when I posted your details that you were the 4th person with a bubba born 9th May – first boy though!
Kellee ~ A big hello to you hun if you’re still about and reading!
My 5 Million Dollar Wish
For our little family we’d build a great house close to the school we have chosen for Emerson. Nothing over the top but very spacious and luxurious and with all the latest IT stuff and all brand new furniture. We’d get a new car each and set up trust funds for both boys. We’d each get some spending money I’m sure – DP would spend his on computer stuff, remote control gadgets and would probably invest some in shares or something. I would have a massive shopping spree of course – imagine the clothes, the shoes, the jewellery *drools*. And we’d help out our parents/family of course. Hmmm can you tell that we’ve talked about this quite a bit!?!? LOL!
Oh and Em now weighs 7.2kgs but is still 65cm the little shorty! I forgot to mention that he has a love affair with feet hehe. Will crawl around chasing mine or DP’s feet everywhere. Quite cute and funny. As for solids I am guilty of starting early as I think I’ve mentioned before. Em has weetbix in the mornings and then vegies with fruit at night. ATM his gums are hurting so he is a little all over the place. In fact I should be sleeping right now! He is laughing ALL the time as well – at his reflection, his toys, me, books – anything. Its really cute!
I’ve just realised how long this is and I haven’t even got out of the last thread  - might call it quits there I think. Will be back in tomorrow!
-
Ok ... so the topic of my posting seems to be how we managed to DTD ... :cryinglaugh: So funny ... well ... he is a man after all! lol ... lets just say he wouldn't take no for an answer (not that I didn't want to or anything, and I was worrying about his back the whole time) ... without getting into too much specifics ... he did most of the work ... lol ...
Corie - I think we've bought the exact same xmas ornament!
Sheree - Jovi loves her yoghurt too. We bought the Valia (sp?) brand for babies ... 6 pack of 3 vanilla, 3 banana ... didn't last very long ... lol ... she loves it!
Jemima - We've been thinking about turning Jovi's car seat around also. Aside from the fact that she gets frustrated she can't see anything, she doesn't like being in the car of a night time (fine during the day, but if we go down to woolies or something at night she cries all the way home). I seem to remember that they SHOULD be a certain weight/age before you turn them around and I can't for the life of me remember what it is (like 6 months, but they SHOULD be a certain weight). Jovi sounds like she is the same as Jesse ... maybe we will switch her around too.
Usually one of us would sit in the back with her so she can see that we're there with her, but Scott can't sit in the back seat at the moment as he has to lay right back when he's in the car (can't sit down in a chair even for like another 3 weeks!! ... much to his disgust and annoyment [is that even a word??!!)).
Scott saw the physio yesterday. Didn't do much ... just some tummy muscle excercises and would you believe it ... pelvic floor exercises. He's like geez this is hard ... I said that he should have had a baby then he would know what to do. lol
He should be able to start swimming next week. He'll have to wear a water proof bandage on his back for a while cos a part of his cut didn't heal properly yet, but he can't wait.
Jovi is waking up ... talk to you soon!
-
Well Sara I read the 60minutes transcript of the interview (didn't want to watch) and I think Tara Brown should be critcised not those women. I don't agree but I wouldn''t treat anyone like that!
That sounds like my list too Sara cept the washing up which i do in the mornings so as not to wake sleeping beauty (the sink's under her room). I can pretty much manage it under 20 minutes now though.
Hope Jesse's feeling better soon Jemima.
Sheree they've seen how strong she is.....guess they have to preach the same to everyone.
My MCN says vaalia's the best youghurt for littlies too.
Vic, Shazz, Kellee if you're out there....when I start solids do the number of feeds stay the same? When do they change?
-
Kim initially number of feeds stay the same as you only introduce a teaspoon initially etc.....
-
Yeah that's what I thought, it's just not written anywhere. Nor is it written when they start full meals (how longshould you give teapsoons of stuff before you give a whole meal? Three meals?) what the feed transistion is like.
Well I have one grizzly overtired cranky here today who will not go to sleep unless I nurse her (and that ain't gonna happen), and the batteries in the elmo gym 9her fave) have gone again! And I have the flu, and it's raining too much to do the washing I need to.....OK whinge over.
Woohoo I got to teenrager! What's next?
-
Not really sure Kim I have gave him a teaspoon of farex initially very irregular though, just every now and again. Then at 5mths I just started to introduce a variety morning and night (or twice a day) a little more then a teaspoon though this time, more like an ice cube, mixed with farex sometimes. I really just feed him until he wants to stop which is very soon in his vocabulary grrr..... Although the yoghurt is working. Last night he just kept wanting the yoghurt and then didn't feed well all night grrr...... 35ml at 6.15pm and then 60ml at 9pm, had to chuck in a couple of dreamfeeds to get up his calories for the day. But I mean the yoghurt he had to me didn't seem like that much really, but he seems to fill up real easily, but then he had fed ok all day, its either morning good/morning bad/afternoon good/afternoon bad, why can't we just have a full day of good drinking........
But on a good note, he mustn't have his cows milk protein intolerance anymore, no reaction to the yoghurt, what tha.......
Might change formulas in the next couple of weeks to see if he goes better on something else.
Chn hasn't told me to stop formula at any point in time just yet, but maybe that is because he doesn't drink enough as it is LOL.
Hope you feel better soon, that is one thing I am really thankful of, I just couldn't bare to be sick right now, haven't been sick for over a year now, how about that!!! Touch wood.
My CHN wants us to do a week visit at Riverdale in Brisbane, it is a feeding and sleeping clinic. We really need to get this feeding under control.
-
Hi Girls
Nice and chatty today i see. Had a pretty good nights sleep last night. Briley went down at 7.30pm and slept through till 4.30am. I put the dummy back in her mouth and went back to bed but she started again. So i left her for a while and she played by herself then got annoyed. I went back again and rolled her on her side, gave her the dummy and she went back to sleep. Then up again at about 5am and is bed with us!
Not sure but were you's talking about how much solids to give?? I give Briley about 4 tablespoons. And she eats it all. Is that wrong??
Nat - Yeah the housewarming was pretty good. The toilet got blocked and some of the food in the hangi was'nt cooked through so we had to put it in the oven for while. Other than that it was pretty good. It was Brent's brother's b'day as well so he ran a muck a little bit! It was pretty funny actually. Then one of our friends and Brent started to muck around too (as they do!). But overall it was good. Went to bed at about 2 so it musta been ok!!
That 60mins episode really cause a lot of drama has'nt it! I dont really give a hoot to be honest. I've seen the dramas its caused on BB and i just don't want a bar of it!! Each to their own i reckon!
So today is going to be a repeat of yesterday minus the cleaning. Oh maybe a bit of ironing though. Have to bake a roast pork for brent to take to work. Thats about it.
Whats everyone else doing??
-
Sara just feed her what she wants I guess, even my CHN said that food is on demand just as was fluid in the early days.
I guess Tara Brown was pretty harsh, I mean but really I would not like to raise my children that way, I didn't agree with their principles, pretty warped if you ask me.
-
So you watched it then Sheree?
-
As far as how much I feed Jovi ... whatever she wants ... I don't stick to so many spoonfull's ... she lets me know when she's had enough or if she wants more (she gets very cranky and yells at me if I don't give her enough the little bugger). But I always give her her bottle first, we have a play ... if she looks hungry still I feed her then, but usually I'll put her down for a sleep then see if she wants anything when she wakes up (usually half-way between bottle feeds).
More often than not she'll actually eat a whole jar/tin of whatever she's eating. She loves her food!
Oh and still no sign of AF. No more spotting either. I think if nothing happens by friday I'll go see my dr. Too chicken to get a HPT and do it myself ... lol
Really hoping I get a new job now and we can move ... much cheaper living so if by chance I am preggas at least that will help (rent there is half what we pay now! e.g. we're paying $220 a week for a 3 bed home, pretty basic. Same thing where we want to move - $135!!).
Jovi went to sleep in her COT yesterday by herself with me just sitting there watching her ... one step at a time! She sleeps on her side mostly these days also. Can lay on her back and play for ages, but as soon as I roll her she zonks out straight away. If she's in bed with me, if she thinks I'm alseep, she goes out as well ... lol
-
Do it Beck!! I wanna know!! Are you getting nervous now??
Briley is exactly the same with sleeping now. I sleep Briley on her side too. She goes to sleep straight away when you put her on her side if she is tired. But she will lay there and whine straight away if you lay her on her back. I can understand though..imagine having to lay on your back all the time!
-
Yeah I saw the interview Sara.
-
I wish i could've so that i knew what everyone was going on about. From what i have read from ppls posts i have an idea of what it was about. Nevermind!
So how is Lachie today anyways??
-
Yeah a bit contraversial I guess hey
Ohh he is ok kinda, been a fussy eater as usual, had 2 x sleeps by himself so far and self-settled took a bit longer then yesterday and the sleeps were short compared to yesterday too! Bugger!!!! Won't even eat his god dam yoghurt today grrr..... Gee I have a fussy kid.
-
Go to the 60minutes site nad you can read the transcript Sara.
Beck, Darcy's the same. She keeps checking to see if my eyes are shut and she eventually goes off too. Hard cos I'm trying to sneak a peek at her LOL! Who can sleep with such a wriggle bum.
Well he's had less than 1hr 15 all day today and is increasingly 'off'. Something better happen. Better since a dose of panadol.
-
Hehe Kim, today I have chosen to sleep in spare room I can't stand him wrigglin, just put the monitor in other room, right down, I still here him cry if he does, generally doesn't wake up crying much during the day anymore.
Lachie has had less sleep today and has found it harder to put himself to sleep but we do eventually get there, persistence is the key! I think!!!!! lol
Did I miss you on MSN?
-
My girlfriend came over for a few hours....sorry. She bought Darcy the cutest ballerina dress from Disneyworld - Disney Princesses! It's a 0 though so hopefully she'll fit into it by my sisters wedding in March.
Persistence is the key Sheree, just wish i had some more energy to persist with.
-
Oh nice Kim.
I am hearin ya too. lol. I just have to look at things just a little more positively.
-
Afternoon Ladies.
We had kindergym today and had the best time. Em is really loving it now – today he seemed to really love the ball crawl which he has never really taken to before. I’m looking forward to watching that new show tonight ‘Tripping Over’ I think its called. Hopefully it’s a good one – my Wednesday night viewing is dismal LOL.
Still trying to catch up on personals… There are so many I think I should just give up but I feel as though because I started that I should persevere!
Sheree ~ Em has dropped to what Lachie is having these past few days. I think its his gums again because he keeps chewing the teat rather the drinking. He’s not having much at all but is still having solids which is a relief.
Bellasmum ~ WOW @ 480g in 9 days – WTG Patrick! Where have you been hun?
Sara ~
Tania ~ Gorgeous pic in your ticker BTW!
Kim ~ OMG @ Darcy’s runny poo LOL… that sounds messy and gave me a giggle LOL. LMAO Kim @ muffins getting smaller!! Glad to hear that the Brauers Calm is helping as well. Did you ever try that Happy Hippo spray?
Mummy ~ WOW at having to move. Where are you going to move to? Closer to Gawler if you’re going back to work and TAFE? I’m assuming they’re both based at Gawler here? Rent has gone up hasn’t it? I pay a small fortune for my place! Good luck with it all!
Jodie ~ Good luck with the sleep school. The hippychick seat sounds excellent!
I desperately need to get a high chair soon. My back is starting to hurt feeding him in the rocker. Has anyone lowered the height of the base of the cot yet? When should we do this? And LMAO @ you girls saying TOGS… that’s funny hehe! I have to say that I really enjoy reading about all the cute things everyones bubbas are doing and what milestones they are reaching. Its so nice to be an environment where we share our babies accomplishments and ‘compare’ as such without it being competitive or getting nasty. Its not only reassuring but joyful as well. Look at me getting all soppy LOL. I honestly don’t know that I’d do without you all though! Ok I’ve caught up on the last thread now for this one ;) Oh you must think I’m all crazy lmao!!
-
Sheree ~ Whoo Hoo on being first! I haven’t tried Em on zucchini yet. Though I just tried him on mango and he seems to love it! He’d better at $3 a mango LOL. I was thinking of trying banana but I think he has enough variety for now. Not to mention they are expensive and I have a feeling the consistency would be too gluggy for now. I’m glad to hear you’ve got some extra support as well with the support association. Emerson has only just started getting some balance in the last few days with sitting – I’m so happy because we are having our photos next week and I was hoping he’d be sitting for them.
Jemima ~ I didn’t realise you were from Adelaide as well. The weather is gorgeous lately isn’t it? I hope that Jesse is feeling better for you!
Sara ~ Emerson moves constantly when feeding – drives me crazy. I put him in the rocker or on the floor now and he tends to hold the bottle himself for a bit. He is much happier that way! I still can’t get over the similarities between ourselves!! Funny hey? LOL about the other thread. I didn’t watch the show but I agree with you – I’m avoiding the conflict – I just have no energy to deal with it!
Kim ~ Fingers crossed that you get Christmas off. I’m lucky that I get to study next year rather then return to work. I never thought I’d have a problem leaving Em in care but I’m beginning to realise that I may have attachment issues LOL. I spose you do what ya gotta do though hey. They have the 15c photo print sale here as well – I’m gonna sort through my photos and print out heaps before it ends. I hope your baby Rosellas are ok. Wow at getting into trouble from the nurser with turning the seat? How much does she weigh? I cant wait to turn my seat around – my car is tiny and the front seat has been pushed forward to much!! It’ll also be great to be able to see his little face.
Tania ~ LOL @ your FIL saying Jayden is too young for the car – what a crack up! How did DP go with his first nappy? Glad that going back to work went smoothly for you though. Work offered me extra hours for next week and I said yea but now I wish I hadn’t – its just too hard. Will see what they give me and just may say no in the end! I was surprised at avocado as well. The nurse said that mango was on the list as well and that shocked me also for some reason. Em loves mango but doesn’t like avocado lol. It was the first time Em had been in the pool yes. He’s going to be in the water a lot I think – I may even buy him his own floaties and kickboard!
Vic ~ When Em came out in this rash he’s got I was freaking out thinking I’d caused eczema by feeding him early. In the end they were insect bites . Em gets up on his knees really well now… and then shuffles backwards LOL. Can only go forward with commando crawl or a giant head first leap when on the kness rofl! Very comical! Sounds like you had a great little helper for the day there!
Beck ~ I tried savoury stuff as well but its only understandable that they head for the sweet stuff first. Have you ever tasted formula or BM – amazingly sweet. LOL You so need to do a HPT!!! Haha @ DH being a man after all… Not much can stop them can it ;) I have my fingers crossed for that new job for you! Good luck!
Some of you mention giving your bubbas yoghurt… now I can’t give Em this because of his intolerance but I heard that you’re not meant to give cows milk for the first 12 months. Is this right? And if this is right then why can you give yoghurt? I know that you can give yoghurt because I’ve seen all the gorgeous little yoghurts in stores for 6 months+…. The thought just occurred to me LOL. And with giving solids early and allergies – do the allergies appear straight away or over years?
With introducing solids I only really started when he actually started eating it if that makes sense. And then I only kept giving it to him when he fussed – I was trying to hold off as long as possible but he had other ideas. Now I just feed him until he stops – normally morning and night. Sometimes during the day but not often. Just read what Sheree said about the CHN saying to feed solids on demand – that makes me feel better!
OMG Em has been asleep for 2 hours now… he never sleeps this long! And I just finished catching up – YAY! You must all think I’m nuts LOL. DP is away for a few days with work so I’ll be able to keep up for at least that long ;) Heading to my parents for dinner tonight – will be nice to let them watch Em and eat some hot food for once hehe!
-
Too funny Nat re: solids only thing on demand for my baby would be never, not too worry! agggh mango, I love mango, not going to give that yet, although variety seems to be the key with my child. Glad em likes kindergym, that is great! Funny you should mention about the high chair, I have had once since b4 he was born and funnily enough I put him in it tonight. It is a high/low one and also tilts back so they can also lounge, how about that didn't realise I go that feature when I orignially bought it. He loves it got a few piccies, all smiles from him!
-
Awwww Sheree - that is exactly the type of high chair that I want to get. I saw one at Target fairly cheap on sale and was meant to go and pick it up but time got away with me. I have no idea how I'd get it into my tiny car trying to carry Emerson anyway. So I may have to make some plans to head out there childess LOL!
I have to admit to feeling BAD... I can't remember whether it was someone here or something I heard but someone was raving about how a person they knew was giving their bubba 2 weetbix in the morning. Now in the last week Em has started having 2 weetbix and then fruit AFTER his bottle.... oh well he doesn't throw it back up so he surely must need it right?
Oh and who was it that added Farex to their solids to thicken it up? I don't understand that because I tend to put water in mine as it ends up to thick for Em to swallow... is this just me?
-
Oh well if he likes it he likes it. At least he eats, now there a plus.
As for the farex, there is good iron in it that they need and sloppy stuff that you make up (like I leave some of the water in it), the farex give it that fullness IYKWIM and I think it also has good carbs in it too. I don't put it in everything, truth be known lachie likes the sloppy stuff better, but I make sure atleast once a day he has a tad of farex in it. But again he is not feeding, don't know why I bother.
-
Awww Sheree you are doing great hun! You will both get there in the end! Hey you should update your ticker with a new photo of Lachlan! It'd be great to see a recent picture of his gorgeous face!!
I give Em the Farex with fruit at lunch time if he has anything. I honestly thought that I was perhaps doing something wrong with how I made up my solids that's all LOL.
And just for a laugh - at kindergym today on the trampoline Em's hair went static lol. He just woke up and his hair is still standing on end - so so funny!!
-
Can't see the light this has been going on for far too long now. I was telling Kim this arve that I rang a feeding and sleeping clinic in brissy this arve and she said I was doing all I could do, feeding him every 3 hours and re-offering the same bottle for up to an hour. She offered me no more advice and surely they have more up their sleeve then that! She even asked me if I had a CHN and that was after I had been talking about her for the past 5mins. Geez wasn't even listening, I was crying and everything on the phone to her (just slightly) and told her how stressful it was and she just kept saying that is all I can do. Bollocks! She said why don't you get your CHN to feed him and my answer was well she probably would only that she has admitted that she is no expert in this specific area and you guys are the experts! Don't know why I bothered!!!! It just really is the hardest job in the world feeding a child that won't feed. She didn't even ask us to come down and that is what my CHN was hoping for as we really need help.
Just mix more water with it until it is smoother Nat, or formula.
Too funny about his hair standing on end.

Awwwww big  hun!! I can't imagine how difficult it would be for you. There is light I promise! Hows that support site going? Can they help you anymore? I can't believe the hide of that woman - it sounds as though she wasn't listening at all. Are there other places you can call? I wish I could do more to help - I really do!

They have a good reputation normally and they are the closest too us - 4 hours away, hoping it is just one rude arrogant lady as my CHN wants to do a referral and send us anyway but feel like it never going to get better from her attitude. I kept telling her tried that tried that and she just kept repeating it, and I just kept saying I just said I have tried that and done this. Grrr....

That's what I said Nat - not good enough! Funny I also mentioned the pic too! LOL.
Well the energiser woman here is struggling to wear herself out.
I'll let you all in on a little secret if you promise not to tell anyone....Cam has started taking himself offf to WW. I'm just waiting for him to get back. He was so cranky with himself for forgetting last night, he has been ringing me all day to find him a meeting tonight so he can see if he has lost this week! Dag. Bit over no junk food though. He doesn't like me eating in front of him but it's worse when i sneak it (and I feel like I'm cheating him anyway ). He felt so bad for me today he bought me a block of choccie -hmmmm aero mint.

I would just like to say how much i think that Sheree is doing an AWESOME job at being a mum. You have been through a whole lot of crap and still are and you are still powering on. You are an inspiration!! Keep up the good work!!:)
Nat - It is a spin out that you and I have so much in common. Who woulda thought!! You can meet great ppl in weird places hey. Even if they are at the other end of the country!!:p
I need to start WW or something too. I am just getting bigger and bigger. Its quite discusting really. I used to be really skinny, then i fell pregnant the first time and its been an up hill battle since then. I just can't shake it. Thats also part of the reason they think i might have PCOS. That and various other factors. I was going to join Jenny but i am too lazy really! You have to be motivated to lose weight but. :(
