Hi Sara - glad you are still here, hold on bubba just a bit longer.
Hi ladies, finally got some time to post.
Kim- it was so great to meet you and Darcy finally, I would love to catch up again maybe you, me and Leanne one Saturday (with bubs and Erin to keep all the bubs amused) Riley slept for 2 hours when we got home, Erin was pretty trashed too after all that running around with Zander and Alex. My slice wasn't the malteser one it was the one on the white plate.
Sara- so glad you are OK and still pg bummer about the constipation, have you tried dried apricots or prunes?
Elissa- not sure if I want to brave the toy sales, Targets one starts on 19th July, haven't decided what Riley wants for Christmas yet ! He got soooo much stuff for his birthday.
Sheree, hope you are feeling better soon, its hard being unwell with a baby around. Shame about the BFN.
Better go Riley STINKS!!!
morning everyone
hope you are all well
sheree ~ bummer mate fingers crossed for next month
That's be cool Christine - I tired your slice too, it was the one I was referring to. Can you send it? Darcy was pretty trashed too (did I post that already). Frightening really how similar you Leanne and I are......
Shazz, I sent you an email last night (just in case you don't check that often...).
Sheree, I did miss it sorry. Thought it was the post of your's I'd already read. It's awful to see that BFN isn't it? Even though you've already talked yourself out of it there's always that little hope. Hope you're feeling better today.
DH got home last night and told me he'd been given a fantastic job for the up coming leader summit - only I'm not allowed to tell anyone what it is due to the security risk...I was so excited for him. He didn't quite understand it's importance until I started acting like an idiot. I'm so proud he was chosen specifically for the job :D
Off to tidy up the cyclone that has passed through my house.
Have a great weekend all....
It's finally the weekend
YAY!!!
BBL for a bigger chat.
Hi everyone.
That slice is soo easy Kim, we call it Sarah's mum's friend's slice! (cause its from my friend Sarahs mums friend!! LOL) All you do is crush a pkt of nice biscuits (nice as in neice) mix with 145g melted butter and press into a slice tin. Top with (in this order) 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1 cup choc bits, 1 cup coconut and a tin of condensed milk. Bake at 150 for about 20-30 minutes. Chill before serving as it crumbles. Its a favourite of the people at school too.
I would love to meet Leanne too i think we will be similar, I felt that about you and I.
I'd love to meet you too Christine. And I can feel the kilos coming just reading your recipe! Yummmmmo.....
Katy's a proper pain the preverbial butt this evening. Won't eat, won't drink, won't sit, won't not sit. Grr
Tired I guess - as aren't we all on a Friday nite?
DH's bathing her and I am supposed to be pegging the washing, but thought I'd pop in again.
Have I told you
It's the weekend....
YAY!!!!
Two days of no work. (well paid work anyway)
YAY!!!!
Me think me crazy.
kim - well done to your Dh on the special job! that cyclone passed through my house today too!
leanne - ill have a cheer for ou for the weekend 'YAY', there you go, i don't reckon your crazy, just worn out! Enjoy your weekend
Dh got to come home early today so it was great to spend some family time, Archie loved it. Looks like his eye teeth are on the move, that must be what is making him so irritable lately. Af finally arrived today so that makes it a 38 day cycle, heres hoping its a little shorter this month! Might put my cycle lengths in my sig to keep track of them. Hope everyone enjoys their weekends.
Kim- forgot to say how exciting about Cam's job!! I told DH i think he is personally guarding George W!! ( not knowing makes it more fun!)
Leanne- if you eat that slice standing up it has no calories! Erin has eaten about 10 pieces of it! She did most of the making of it actually.
Its the end of the first week of the holidays, I really could handle a few more weeks instead of only one but I guess holidays every 10 weeks is pretty good.
Riley has been great today, just a delight which has been so lovely. he went to bed at 7.20pm which is good too LOL.
kim ~ just replied to your email yeah i don't check that to often lazy cow that i am ..
ETA YAY cam welll done
Leanne ~ yay for being the weekend yay yay yay
Christine, George W brings his owner security and drivers....but close....
Leanne I don't know how you do full time. Is your house still standing? I've had enough of day shifts now - let me work overnight any time.
My WE means going out with the ILs so it doesn't count as days off. Though for the first time in the whole time I've been with Cam they've actually told us they'll pay.
And guess what I just spent a friday night doing? TAX! When did i get this life? lol.
Haha Vic, that'll be me.....
Hey Sheree, you know you wanted a house with a door? THe FP one does have a door and a doorbell....It's in the Kmart catalogue.
Yeah Kim but it is only a one face door and you more or less have to crawl into it don't you? I am wanting one that has walls all the way around with no roof at all and the walls go up to the toddler's waste. It is a more of a toy for him to open and close the door and go in and out of. I actually ended up getting a cubby house out of the big w catalogue's toy sale. It has a roof, but the only reason why i didn't want the roof as all those type of cubby house's are so expensive and I didn't want to spend anymore then $100. This one I got is just over $100. But seeing as I am 3 hours away from any of these toy sales, I got a friend to go and put it on layby for me.
That sounds good Sheree! I might have to check it out!!!
hi everybody
hope you've had a good weekend so far
tax time sucks i hat this time of year i always get my hopes up thinking we will get some serious $$ back but not very often do we well i have decided that all my baby boy gear is going on ebay in the next few weeks how depressing
Oh the Big W Toy Sale.
We went and had a look on Thursday night (not intending to buy anything) and the line for layby was three hours long. It went half way around the store. You know the one at Penrith Kim. Unbelieveable.
We thought it was hilarious though. So many people in the line with trolley full to the brim with their little kids in tow. What a pain for them eh.
And so many discarded full trolleys. People must have gotten sick of waiting i'd say.
Well today I took my mum out to give both her and dad a break from each other. With dad being sick they are in each others pockets pretty much 24 / 7.
Had a good day.
Bought some fabric to finish off a quilt and a few little presents for people who's b'days are coming up.
Katy did not want to eat or drink all day and probably tmi but her pooh was yellow. Like custard. So pale too. Does that sound normal? Might just put it down to teething? Or could it be something else. Stunk too. Like pooh ususally does stink (der Leanne), but this was really bad...
Guess what? I think I am allowed to say now. I am going to be an auntie again. My little SIL is 11 weeks. My other SIL is about to pop any minute, so there's a few little ones on the way....
Sheree what you are describing sounds like a play pen with an escape hatch..... :)
Kim - sometimes I don't know how I cope working f/time. It is bloodie hard. But, we try to have some sort of routine and stick to it. Some nights I get home and just want to flake out, but I know I can't cause then I have to put my mummy hat on and keep going. By the time we get to bed it's about 10:30 - 11:00, and then the alarm goes off at 5.15 and it all starts again. The house is still standing. Maybe it is the layer of dust that keeps it up! Someone commented to me once that I am only a part time mum having Katy at school full time. Really upset me. Does anyone here think that?
leanne ~ No absolutely Not i do not think you are a part time mum how friggin rude to say that to anybody as parents we do what we have to do to make a life for our children in regards to having a roof over ones head and food in their tummy's i HAD to work when my elder 2 were little so i know only to well what your going through it is hard yakker and your doing a fab job don't let anyone tell you other wise
What a terrible comment Leanne, you are a full time worker and a full time mum, FFS does that mean when your kids go to school you are only a part time mum?? I worked full time from when Jess was 7 months and it was incredibly hard, you are doing a fabulous job ignore idiots.
