Morning girls,
I am terribly disappointed to say that nothing happened. The contractions continued quite regularly till 6pm then just stopped. I really thought something was going to happen as the pains were getting pretty bad. My body is laughing at me!!!
I did manage to get Brent to DTD with me thismorning so hopefully that will kick start something too! Fingers crossed.
From now on though, i am not posting about any pains that i am getting until i am absolutely certain i am in labour. I am tired of getting excited and then getting a major let down. I keep telling myself "Baby will come when s/he is ready too!".
Hope you are all well girls....esp you Sheree. Poor Lachie!
Hang in there Sara
Well Lachlan's viral ear infection has cleared up thank god! We could kinda tell as the last couple of nights are only a one or two times wake up, whereas b4 that he was sometimes up to the sixth time in a night! So his cold atm is viral too apparently, so again we have come away with nothing, but i would prefer that, as long as he doesn't get any worse!
Lachlan's poos for the last week have been extremely loose, I wouldn't say dirreha but very pasty and very loose (considering this kid was always stuffed up with hard poos - these are very unusual for him). Do you think they could just be loose because of his illnesses?????
I am also ok, again a viral infection. But I got some more antibiotics for my bladder infection. Today it seems to be ok, but yesterday it flared up a bit again and I do feel that because my bowels have been playing up (irritable bowel), that this keep flaring up my bladder infection all the time.
WE JUST WANT TO BE WELL AGAIN....... I am such a sook!

Hope the vapouriser works Sheree. I love the smell of them.....
Yay for cd1 Kim, whahoooo..... you are right that is a big start!
Bugger Shazz, gawd the best laid plans...................
Hi girls...
I've been so flat out in the last week. Our "open house" inspection on Saturday. But on wed/thur/fri we had 8 groups of people through! On Saturday we went out and there were 20 groups of people through in 1/2 an hour. The real estate agent wasn't able to talk to many of them. Apparantly thats a great number for people to come through. I cracked it with the real estate owner though because I'm sick of people coming through every single day when we have a specific open day. And I was not happy with the photographs that were taken. So we have decided on two weekdays and the Saturday. And he says we will get some more photos taken. Bit bloody late! vent over.
I went for another 20 week scan today. The one I had 2 weeks ago showed an anomily (?) with the babies stomach, and because the stenographer went on holidays the following day I was booked in next week for another scan. But I had an appointment with my ob tomorrow morning - and he was unaware of the results from the scan 2 weeks ago! I found another stenographer near my salon and booked in for today. They bulk bill, which was another bonus, after paying out nearly $400 for two scans so far. But when I got to the appointment I explained the situation and he said that I couldn't get another scan under medicare. :( I was upset... although I didn't cry. He felt sorry
for me so he told me to jump on the bed. He checked all the measurements, with attention on the stomach. He asked what time I had the last scan and I said around 1pm, and he said "I think the doc had a few extra ales at lunch". He said the babies tummy is fine... as is everything else. Phew. He even had a 4D scan machine - and he got me some graphics, and printed off the best photo of the babies hand. Baby was a bit camera shy, so he couldn't get a 4D head shot. But baby looks good, and that's all that counts.
Spoke to the bank tonight, and we are in a catch 22 with finance. We can get a huge loan - but we can't get bridging finance. So we have to wait until we sell & settle on our house before we can buy & settle on another house. We really don't want to rent as that will be a pain with 3 animals and a baby on the way. So our best option is to find a house when we sell ours - and match up the settlement dates - and hopefully the new owner of our current house will allow us to rent our home for a few weeks. Big ask!!
Shaun has been terrific. His naps have been thrown all over the place due to this house thing. I took him for his swim lesson today, and he loved it. He is a real little fish, although he won't kick his legs. He got his first pair of real shoes today. I went to a childrens shoe specialist because I couldn't work out his size, and couldn't get his feet into shoes at the department store. So $60 later he has a cute pair of size 5 shoes that he had no problems walking in. My little baby is growing up into a little boy.
Sorry I can't do personals tonight as I'm really tired. I just caught up on the last couple of pages... and got so excited when I saw Sara's post thinking she was in labour. It won't be long now. Will have to keep a closer eye on the thread, just incase it really happens!
Jodie I hated when we had an auction a couple of years ago now, such an invasion of privacy and soooo many sticky beaks!!!!
Well done on the scan, boy am I pleased, I was soooo concerned! What a **** your last stenographer. So please all is well!
Gosh size 5, my boy is lucky to be a size 3, but I have bought 4's for him to grown into.
Good boy Shaun on sleeping for mummy while so much is going on. So he is a fish too huh, same here. Lachlan loves the water, pitty no heated pools out here, he would love to still be going to swimming lessons.
I really hope the new owners let you rent for a couple of weeks, that is really your best option, surely they will?
Take care honey.
Oh Great news about baby Jodie!!!!
You know Darcy only had 4 teeth until about 2 weeks ago? Well in the last 2 weeks we have gotten all BUT 4 of her teeth - I love teething NOT!!!! Poor kid. We didn't even own teething gel until yesterday when her stupid parents figured out what was wrong....
I'm eating toblerone mousse out of a brandy ballon that's as big as my head (thanks mum)....just thought I'd share.......
Holy crap that is a lot of teeth to come through Kim!!! Poor Darcy!
Jodie you sound soooo busy!!! Em is in a size 5 now as well. I just bought him these gorgeous little brown suede boots from Kmart. He has about 4 pairs of shoes now lol & he loves putting them on! I can see a shoe addiction starting...
Sheree Glad you went to the Dr's and starting to feel better.
Back at uni today and lotsa homework already *sigh* Will of course be in and out from now on. Sorry to those I don't do personals to or miss! I'm going to try and pop in and do quick posts like this rather then disappear for weeks on end lol.
Will chat soon!
Just popping in to say Hi!
PAt is still crawling and has 7 teeth, he hates anything on his feet and is still waking up nearly every hour and a half, sometimes I think I still have a newborn baby!
We have moved up to the NSW/Vic border as things went haywire in Euroa.... we now have a 4br house and its only 6 doors down from the kids new school.
Morning girls!
Well i am feeling very crappy today. I was really tired lastnight and thought i would make an early night of it and went to bed at 8.30. Well just like every other time i go to bed early, i get woken up every 2 hours the whole night!! Grrrrr. I had a full day of pains yesterday and lastnight so i think this might have taken a bit out of me making me feel like sh*t today.
Does anyone know what its like to gradually lose you mucous plug???? What did it look like for you?? Lastnight during the night when i would go to the toilet, when i would wipe i would have sticky snot-like mucous. Not heaps but a fair bit. I have been getting this on and off for weeks now. Could it just be normal CM???
You'd think i'd know but i lost my MP after my waters broke with Briley and it was like a giant blob of snot with blood in it. Not little bits like i am losing now.
Briley is good. Still being a cheeky monkey. She is really starting to understand commands and sentences now. Like if i say "Bring mummy the teddy bear" when i am packing her toys away, she will walk over and get it and bring it too me. Its just too cute!
She has also taken to climbing into things like boxes, clothes baskets etc etc. Yesterday she climbed in the box we use for fire wood, threw out the wood then got out of the box and put all the wood back. She makes me laugh so much sometimes.
Her second top tooth is about to cut. You can see it clear as through the gum so now its just a matter of breaking through. And the mysterious back one that has emerged has'nt come down any more. They must take ages to come through fully hey???
I am taking her for a hair cut again this week. Her hair just grows too quick. She looks like a boy at the moment.
Oh and she starts her first day of CC on thursday. I am kinda excited for her. She really does love to play with other little girls. Not her age though. She likes to play with girls who are about 3-4. She must just like that they can do more than babies her own age, don't know!
Nice to hear from you Jess. Glad to hear everything is going good.
Ok then, better go and make Briley and me some breakfast. Hope you are all well.
Hey Jess!!
How funny are they Sara? I feel like I spend half the day laughing at Darcy.
Yesterday morning I had to work but she insisted on getting up while I was getting ready, so I put her Sesame street DVD on. She was propped up on the lounge but could hardly keep her eyes open - until Twinkle Twinkle came on and them UP went the hands. It was so cute. i waste a lot of the day just watching her.
Today however she's a cranky cow.
Mmmm what did everyone say????
Lets see......
God Kim, that was like lachlan at 9 mths we got 5 teeth all at once, but I think you beat us on the 2 week period, think ours was a bit longer, but not much.
Hope to see you around again soon Nat! Gl with uni. Also Lachlan loves shoes and he has a full shelf of them, probably about 10 or more shoes, now..... who has the shoe fettish lol.
Hi Jess
Sara - can't help u on the mucous plug, never lost mine! Which leads me to think Lachlan wasn't coming out for ages really. Lachlan understands heaps too, I think he understands way better then he talks. He gets me stuff all the time, like elmo, the teddy, his socks, his shoes.
Lachlan slept much better last night with his vapouriser, he coughed all night still though, amazes me how he can still sleep through that coughing. But he only woke up at 1.30am, which is great in our eyes.
OMG so many babies are being born!!!
I was just watching a show on austar called House of Babies. They reckon that when you are approaching a full moon it triggers lots of woment too go into labour. We have our full moon on the 30th July!! I am beginning to think this might be true considering all the ladies that are having their babies right now!!!
