My godness you girls were chatty last night, i couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
sheree - what link?? oh yeah i get what you mean by behavioural now, was too tired to think properly last night. By pin i meant pain:lol: Oh goodnes food ideas....
breakfast is 2 weetbix with soy milk and a cupful of grapes
morning tea is a hot cross bun
lunch is vegemite sandwich/mountain bread with avo and ham rolled up tightly and cut into littel bite size pieces and a cup of soy milk
afternoon tea is tinned fruit mixed with soy yoghurt
tea is BBQ chook with lettuce capsicum cucmber salad fetta cheese/chook schnitzel mash sweet pot and pot steamed beans and carrots
im really struggling with tea as i can't cook anything with tomatoes or cream or cheese, and without these basic ingredients there isn't a lot of yummy stuff to have. VERY interesting about the psychic reading you had done, i have never had one done but am interested in it, how amazing if Riley turned out ot be a girl!! Do you have a girls name JIC? I felt the same about having 2 girls i wouldn't try again, but if i had 2 boys i would try again. i agree that baby girls seem easier than boys, but am so glad i don't have to live with a teenage girl!!
christine - i certainly don't envy you having to live with 2 teenage girls, it will be interesting to see if you think Riley is an easier teenager when the time comes. My mum has had to go through 4 teenage girls, my youngest sister is still only 15!
-
Elissa - do you want the link for the bright bots stuff on ebay is what I meant by link.
Well our menu is (well this is what I send to daycare):
B/fast -
weetbix mixed with fruit puree and yoghurt
m/tea -
half a banana
few bits of granny smith apples
and a heinz fruit museli bar
(generally these get sent home)
Lunch - Ham sticks, cheese (sometimes), sultanas (that get sent home), country cheese biscuit with cream cheese and maybe a crusket (plain - will only eat it this way) oh and a yoghurt
Tea - our only success is: mashed potato with frozen vegies mixed in with whatever meat we are having finely chopped and mixed into it, if he is good we give him icecream
Basically our menu does not vary much more then this and even these things he becomes fussy on and doesn't want either. Our menu is very small, even without the food intolerances.
We have to feed b/fast and tea as this is the only way he will eat a good portion, otherwise he will only have 2 spoonfuls.
Lunch I let him go for it and don't stress about it too much.
I feel for you, I know when I had to cut out foods when breast feeding it was near impossible esp milk as everything has milk in it - EVERYTHING. So glad lachlan is not intolerant anymore, it is gr8.
It was a friend that did my reading, so I guess I trusted her alot more then anyone else.
I am pretty confident this one is def not a girl, def doesn't punch and kick me like a girl. Def a boy I reackon, and I saw that wee wee. At my 3d scan in a couple of weeks I will just double check, but not feeling like this one is a girl either. Gosh what a shock it would be if he came out as a she. Highly unlikely thou.....
Oh and have to agree on girls later on in life that is for sure.
-
sheree - about 5 mins after i posted i realised what link you meant:doh:thanks but dont worry about sending me the link, im sure i have seen them on ebay before, i will find them if i decide to by some, ta.
yeah intolerances are awfully hard to get around especially dairy and tomato! It is SO great that lachlan doesn't have intolerances any more, gives me hope that Archie will eventually grow out of it too. Gosh it must be frustrating that Lachlan refuses to eat though. We have the opposite children, Archie LOVES his food and will eat anything with dairy or tomatoes, but give him boring foods without those and he doesn't eat a lot.
It must be hard to read that you should be having a boya nd girl when you know that Riley isn't a girl, you must be trying hard not to entertain the thought of it being a girl so that you dont get "let down" again at the scan. What date is the scan?
After bribing him with lollies Archie has manged a 1.5 hour nap, thank goodness cause we are going to a friends place for tea tonight, so now we can stay til a decent hour:dance:
-
Agggh no I know this one is a boy, seriously, and I have def come that realisation. Its all good other then these other issues I have put forward to you all lately. Sound ungrateful, don't I?
Good work Archie.
My little man, nearly climb out again, three times I went in to him crying. 1st time he had thrown everything out including his bottle with water in it. So gave it back to him, chucked all his toys back in and told him, ur going to sleep!!! Walked back out. 2nd time I went back in he had done it all again only this time, I plonked him on his but and said right no toys they are staying under your cot, you are going to sleep! 3rd time I went in, he is asleep. Little ratbag, persistence is the key. And wade was going to get him out the 2nd time we went in, and I said no, one more time..... Grrr..........
-
Thats Riley's new trick too- he throws eveything out of his cot including his blanket and his dummy which he won't sleep without! Sheree- you are no way too old to cope!!! (I am 41!!)
-
At least you were alot younger then me when you had your first Christine. That is what I am finding hard. Not very tolerant these days. The business does not help thou.
Agggh these boys trying to cut out there day sleeps. Tell me this is not happening. It is too early, I need to sleep when our new baby is here!!!
-
yeah giving up the day sleeps really sux, i would panic if i was pregnant and he gave up his sleep! Archie refused edays sleeps for almost 2 weeks, and now he has had a sleep every day for almost a week, it takes a good hour or more for him to fall asleep and it takes bribes, lots of patience, and quite a bit of convincing that he just needs to have a very little sleep...
sheree - i reckon lachlan will keep his sleep for a while longer, hopefully it is just a passing stage
I just brought Archie home from our friends place Jay stayed behind to kep drinking of course. Arch was an absolute angel, we hardly knew he was there, he happily stayed up til 11:30. will be interesting to see if he has night terrors again though due to him being out of routine and being up so late...
-
How did Archie go?
Yeah just another phase, that is my favourite word at the minute. Gosh how many phases/stages do they go thru..... hehe
-
hiya all
busy today finishing one last question on my next maths assignment on triganomitry (sp) and then i am replastering the hall wall thanks to a 10 year olds foot and the lack of strength in gyprock oh what fun ( do you really want to talk about boys heading into teenagers arrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhh ) my girl is so easy compared to my middle boy though she can be quite Witchy Bit chy when she wants too hope every one had a good week end they go way to fast don't they
-
and i've scrubbed the bathroom walls with exit mould ready for painting and to top off my day my darling son as mentioned above also put is hand through our glass door of the tv unit today oh such joys :wall::wall::wall:
-
shazz - oh boys hey, they are not the most gentle creatures are they?! You have been extremely productive well done:clap:
sheree - Arch slept through til 7:30, didn't hear a peep out of him and he has been an angel all day today to, he is sleeping atm, hope this angel sticks around for a while. Yeah it is constant stages, i don't think it ever ends!
Warm here today, have friends coming over soon to play poker out in the shed, will fill the paddling pool up for Arch and the dog, nice fun relaxing afternoon i reckon
-
We are having a cleaning day, tidied our bedroom which was a pig sty!! Riley woke up at 6am!! Wouldn't go back to bed but luckily Jess got up at 8 and took over and I went back to bed until 11am. He went back to bed at 9am J said and slept until after 11. Jess has gone with her BF to pack hot cross buns cause his family own a Bakers Delight and they have heaps of orders, I am hoping they bring me some home YUM!
Shazz- good luck with your assignments, you sound flat out. DON"T tell me anything stressful about older boys leave me in my blissful ignorance LOL
Sheree- you get used to blaming first teeth then a "phase" LOL it works for me. DH is still going through some kind of phase I think.
Elissa - sounds like a lovely way to spend sunday afternoon, hop Archie has fun.
Leanne- hope the doc went well.
Where are Kim and Nat????
-
I haven't been missing - I've been in Sydney for my 30th birthday!! Had a fantastic weekend too. My parents are the best parents!!!! We were so flat out for 4 days. Got some great pressies too.
Feeling absolutley horrendous now though....god I didn't have morning sickness with Darcy.....
WTG SHazz on your assignment!
Glad you finally got your broadband Sara.
I think what you're feeling sounds totally normal Sheree. Funnily enough though, it is with trepidation that I go through this again, because I reaallly want another girl.
Good to see you around Leanne.
I can't find the other thread...is Jayden OK Tania?
Oooh Jess send some out this way....
-
 i had a sticky note on the computer to remind me it was your birthday :doh:Happy belated birthday Kim  Glad you had a fab time and bummer about the morning sickness i was lucky i never really had it that bad thank goodness
-
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kim, glad you had a fab day / weekend. What a week of news you have had. Wow m/s already, you poor thing. Mine didn't hit till 7 weeks and then it was with a vengance.
So you want another girl huh!
-
Yep, like I never knew I could want another girl.
Yeah the ms...you know when you get off a scary ride and the floor moves with every step you take....bllleerrrghhh
-
I hope it is a girl for you then.
-
I only had ms with Riley Kim!!
Glad you had a good weekend, we put on nice weather for you too
-
And I was sicker with this pregnancy then lachlan's and still a boy, so who would know....
Well I had a productive day, packed more boxes today, nearly got all the kitchen done now. Finished the linen cupboard last week and the bathroom. Slowly gettign thru it, gosh it feels good.
We went to our newly renovated cafe for fish and chips tonight and sat in the towns newly done park too. It was so nice. Lachlan even ate whahooooo.... so it was just so nice just before dark, nice and cool and you could still see. That is what family outings are all about.
-
Congratulations Kim on the Bubba. and also on your birthday.
My SIL announced they are expecting yesterday - due in Oct. I am sooooooooo jealous. All in good time, have to get over this depression first, and save a bit more, get to goal weight..... hmmm :O(
Doc went okay. Still on the meds and also suspected gallstones. Gee I love my life right now.
-
 just for you leanne
-
-
:hugs: Leanne, hope things start improving, at least its a short week.
-
Thanks girls
I am really over my life right now.
Yes, a short week thank goodness for small mercies!
-
Yes short week woot
i'm off to the post office just sealed up the envelope for my next assignment wooohooo only 9 more to go for this semester
-
-
christine - gosh it must be great to have Jess around to help out with Riley!
kim - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Great to hear you enjoyed your weekend. Bummer about the ms, sounds awful, i had yucky ms with Archie but it only lasted 2 weeks, i had to lie down otherwise the room would constantly spin, yuck! Hope it doesn't last too long for you. Hope you get another girl!
sheree - i think i've missed something...have you finally got a bigger house to move into??? Wohoo on Lachlan eating his tea!
leanne - big hugs. I hope you don't have gallstones. it si so hard watching people around you get excited about new arrivals wen you are desperate for one of your own, you will get there, you have made a very responsible decision to get your depression sorted before you ttc.
shazz - woohoo ANOTHER assigment done! You are being very motivating for me, i am going to organise my work placement this week so i can get back into my study
Went to the dr this morning to talk about meds. He is happy with current meds so gave me a 6 month prescription so that is all good. Went down the street with Arch and bought a few size 3 tshirts and shorts from the half price racks for next year, gosh size three looks so big!
-
Elissa - yes we have finally got a bigger house, well kinda. It is a 4 bedroom house and they really do squash em in, so not much bigger then a 3 bedroom really. I think they were sick of us nagging, cause only 3 kid family's are normally allowed to get a 4 bedroom house. The only thing is with the house, we don't know when, they have to do maintenane on it first and with lachlan and I away from mid to late april, I am guessing it is going to be early may we move. But not long from here to mid april, so I am doing what I can and whilst my tummy isn't too big. We want to build in the side garage so we have more room for storage and a play room for the boys and also build a patio/pergola out the back. We are hoping this is done before bubs comes along, highly unlikely, but we are trying. See the extensions to the houses out here are fully reimbursable over a 3-5 year period. So they won't let us apply for the buy back scheme until we are residing in the house, which is a real pain!! I can only do so much now, like fill in the paperwork and talk to two builders for quotes. I am not even allowed to book them as it all has to be approved by housing. So my hands are really tied, but will do what I can in the mean time. I sooo hope it is done before bubs comes along....
Yeah I know size three is def big. We get right up to size 4 in our shop to sell and OMG!! We won't be there 4 a while yet, we are still in 00 bottoms and I oversize him in size 1 tops.
-
This little monkey is def trying to cut out his day sleep WTF.... but this mother aint havin a bar of it!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
sheree - well thats great news about the bigger house, the extensions sound great too, hope you manage to get them done before Riley moves in! Lachlan must be a petite little thing, i wonder, if Riley is a great eater, they might end up sharing clothes! Archie is in a size 2 top and 1 bottom atm. Just keep persisting with the day sleep and hopefully he will realise that he doesn't actually have a choice and he will give in and start having little sleeps again. Bribery worked for me in the end "You can have a lolly after you have a little sleep, but you have to have a little sleep first, then a lolly" Worked a treat!
We all stayed up til 11pm last night, it was like a sauna in our house, Then Arch slept in our bed under the fan and we slept in the lounge with the air con, thank goodness it is cool here today, been ages since we had a cool day.
-
I wish the lolly thing worked. I don't think he understands like Archie does. I wish he did. Ohhh I wish something would work, he can't do this to me now, and esp just before putting him in a bed. I am just not sure how this is all going to pan out. I wish it would just fix itself. It is things like this that make u realise things were running quite smoothly.... I need to rest when bubby comes along, please don't do this to me now. I might have to give him some phnergen thru the day at this rate! LOL....
I have been going in sometimes 5 times before he goes to sleep and plonking him on his bum and laying him down. This is like a 2 hour attempt to get him to sleep, how ridiculous!!!!
And to add to all this - we are sick here again, SURPRISE SURPRISE....... Started with a cough yesterday. Since going back to daycare in early Feb, this is the 4th illnesses. Starting to drive me nuts. It is horrible hearing him cough all nite long. He woke up soooo much, Wade ended up sleeping on the floor beside his cot.
-
sheree - it takes at least an hour for Archie to go to sleep day or night, and i am going in there a few times to put him back to bed and try and convince him to sleep, so just know that Lachlan is not the only one, it must be an age thing i guess:rolleyes: It must be frustrating that he gets sick so often now that he has started daycare, that is one of the things that puts me off atm, does he get over them fairly quickly? Maybe when Riley comes, you could have a rubber mallet next to Lachlan's cot and just give him a good whack over the head each night....LOL
-
Well yesterday it was from 1.30pm to 4pm b4 he went to sleep and then it was only 1/2 hour.
Lachlan has been sick so many times since he started daycare and that was a year ago now. I would hate to think how many illnesses we have had in that year. But I was just giving you an idea of this year alone. It is ridiculous.
Must be an age/phase thing, I just hope the gets over it quick smart!!!!
-
I had my midwife appt 2day, my blood pressure is still good at 110/70. Big change from my high blood pressure with Lachlan of 140/90.
I am measuring ahead it appears. She said I was measuring at 26 weeks and I have only just turned 25 weeks, so maybe this bub isn't as small as I was thinking??? Dunno, I never had anyone tell me my measurements b4. My gyno last time, never spoke much... hehe Soooo not sure what it all means.....
I always knew I was small in size with Lachlan and had a real big gut feeling he wasn't going to be big.
-
I must admit thats one of the reasons I chose FDC for Riley was the number of illnesses he'd get would be reduced cause its only 5 kids. At least by the time he goes to school he'll be immune to everything Sheree!! When I first started teaching i used to get sick all the time but now I am tough LOL (except the whole whooping cough thing!!) Actually when you change schools you often get sick again cause there are different strains of viruses.
Sorry to babble on! I hope he starts sleeping better soon Sheree, Riley is still sleeping at last 3 hours a day but after having to feed him every 2 hours through the night until he was 12 months old I have decided I deserve it!!!! (not that you don't hun LOL) I don't know how you cope with a little one and work and being pg, you deserve a medal. I have only ever had biggger kids when pg, I just couldn't imagine coping with Riley and pregnancy at the same time, he is so full on ATM, he is so different from the girls.
Elissa- has the weather got cooler yet? How is the dog going?
Today I got 3 chocolate bunnies and a bilby from kids in my class. One little girl gave me some gorgeous earrings too, I am very spoilt, they are such a gorgeous class too.
-
Christine - thanks for your kind post, I really appreciate it. And yes 2 hourly feeding up till 12 months would suc, so yes you deserve for him to sleep now... What a beautiful class you have, you must be a gr8 teacher too. And yes I am def hoping he will be immune to everything later and is a very healthy child/adult. Now wouldn't that be nice. Even I was a sickly person up until 3 years ago, aways caught everything, but I must admit I am pretty good these days. Sometimes I am not sure I cope hehe. It is going away that stuffs me all the time, so being home for a while now has been gr8, as b4 I was always back to square one and always chasing my tail with catching up!!! I will still say I wish I had of had my first child when I was younger, as now I am forced to have them all close together and that is what I am scared of at times.....
I actually gave Lachlan a little phnergen today as I didn't want him fighting me to go to sleep when he so needs it being sick and his cough sounds terrible when he cries atm. It didn't totally do the trick, but it def relaxed him and he didn't protest and slept for a little bit.
-
sheree - yeah, we have days where it takes a couple of hours til he gives in and goes to sleep too, it is very stressful. I agree with Christine you deserve a medal! great that your bp is so good this time around, i was measuring 5 weeks ahead at one stage, i had a 9lb 6oz bub but still, 5 weeks ahead had me panicking thats for sure! Glad the Phenergen helped Lachlan relax, i have used Pain Stop a few times for the same reason.
christine - yep it has been 22 and 23 the last 2 days, perfect weather. our dog is going well, she was extremely anxious and timid when we got her in December, but just recently she has started waging her tail all the time and even coming inside for a sniff around, she is still very scared of men though, im thinking she has been abused by a man:cry: i love her, if i put enough time and effort and love into her i think she'll eventually come round. how cute that you got Easter presents, you must be a great teacher.
I bought Snugglers nappies this week, i used three nappies and Archie has these red raw marks on each bum cheek, like burns almost, tok the nappies backa nd got a refund at Coles and got some good old Huggies, i can't believe they caused sucha horrible reaction. He had the same thing a few months ago with Snugglers but i actually thught it was due to hot weather and his bum getting sweaty and yuck, took a month for his bum to get better!
-
Ohhh poor Archies bottom. Can't beat the good ol huggies. I love em esp when they are $30 a box.
-
Well we went an hour away to Emerald today and Lachlan got worse and worse as the day progressed, so Wade rung around and got us into the doc. Lachlan has an ear infection with an associated cold. So we are on antibiotics and ventalin sprays. Apparently the ventalin sprays help with the tickle in his throat by opening up the airways????? Anway worth a shot I guess.
I have all of a sudden put on 8kgs, eeek!! but I guess I am 25 weeks. I put on alot of fluid towards the end, but I so I don't reach 26kgs again, but I am sure I am still well under the weight at the same stage with lachlan.
