HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA!!Sorry, is it today or tomorrow??
Elissa: Welcome back!! Can Archie teach Jayden how to sleep through for 12hrs......even 8hrs would be great! Congrats to your Aunty and how exciting for you!! It has crept up really fast for me too...can't believe in just over 2 weeks I'll have another little baby!!!
Shazz: How are you going with your assignments etc?
Kim: YAY for the MS!!! Not so good about the laryngitis though. Nah I am still at work and very very over it! But too dedicated to go home haha. I am taking tomorrow off though :shh: then I'll come in Friday because the coffee van comes around every friday and I don't want to miss out on a hot chocolate haha. Well done Darcy knowing italian!!! I should start teaching Jayden (Chris' dad is italian). LOL he doesn't realise what a drama queen he is....but I like to tell him.
Anyway no rest for the wicked...better get back to doing some work
-
Well my day got better...not.
DH went to soles - they said they didn't have it, but I couldn't cancell the card until DH got home because the bank thingo is voice activated.
SO I went and had a sleep...got woken 2 hours later by the phone ringing, jumped up incase it was urgent and promptly fainted just as the phone stopped ringing - hit my head on the edge of the bench too.....then I just cooked dinner but the pad off the bottom of the meat fell into the casserole dish. It only melted a tiny tiny bit, but I'm too scared to risk anything and so can't eat it (not that I feel like eating anyway)....
:wall:
-
 Kim you poor darling. There was another thread about someone cooking the meat pad today, must be the day for it. The fainting is a worry, do you ever usually faint? Just go to bed and make the day over!!
Tania- I can't believe you are still working! Your DP needs a boot up the bottom (no offence) I thought DH was bad but Chris sounds worse. Hope you get some rest before bubs comes.
Sara- girls are easier than boys I have decided but I am hoping teenage boys are easier than girls LOL I must say i love having the opportunity to experience both but if I had to have just one sex it would be girls any day.
Lorelle- GL with the TTC, we were trying for the past 8 months or so but no luck and now we have a massive mortgage we cant afford it so no more kids for us :(
Elissa- Riley slept in his own bed until 5am today which was the best he has done since we moved. Some nights I can't be bothered fighting and he has been in our bed the whole night.
-
kim - you poor thing, as if ms isn't bad enough by itself! Oh, thanks for missing me, you gave me warm fuzzies. Gosh, what a day, just go to bed already! Hope tomorrow is much better for you
tania - i wish Archie could teach jayden, you must be absolutely wrecked! I can't imagine what it would be like to have another little baby soon, you must be so excited.
christine - sorry, just realised i called Riley Ryan in my last post, got a bit mixed up in the excitement of birth and pregnancy announcements!! I thought we would be in for a rough time with Archies sleeping in the new house, thought for sure he'd end up in our bed for ages, i think we have been that busy though that he is worn out by night time thank goodness.
Just sitting on the couch with DH pigging out on homemade chocolates. Really should be making a resume, but typical me puts things off for as long as possible
BTW - whoever was asking about colours, Archie doesn't have a clue, its not something we have started to teach him yet
-
Riley doesn't either, never thought to teach him LOL The first school I taught at in a disadvantaged area, none of the kids knew their colours when they started school.
Elissa- no worries about the wrong name I call my own kids the wrong names
-
Hi guys just quickly.
Katy is such a no sleeper ATM. Goes down at about 10 pm most nights (after a 3 hour struggle keeping her in there) and is then usually tapping me on the face at about 4. I am up a 5:30.
Studying is going well. It's hard yacker but will be worth it in the long run
Sheree - your little bub is so so cute. I can't wait to have another one.
Tania - you should be at home not at work. And yes your DH deserved a huge sizre 14 kick up the butt. Not long now. How exciting.
But...
I got a pay rise. An extra $50 a week so i am stoked.
Better get back to it.
Have a great day all
sorry if I missed you.
-
christine - LOL, i even get DH and Archie mixed up!
leanne -bummer about Katy's current sleeping habits (or lack of!) I hope it doesn't last much longer. Woohoo at the pay rise, thats awesome!
Archie freaked out again at childcare when we left him. He happily packed his bag and was excited to get there though, so he doesn't hate it, he just isn't 100% comfy being around so many other kids, apparently he mainly just hangs with the carer and chats to her the whole time, such an only child thing to do! I am so much happier and less stressed this week, just having 2 mornings without him each week makes such a huge difference to me, wish i did it 12 months ago! Hindsight is wonderful thing though
-
Hiya all
holy cow Kim ~ i hope your ok your poor thing please let tomorrow be a super day for you
Tania ~ i'm finished for the semester and about to start semester 2 in a week or so i'm quite nervous cause it is on campus now but i'll manage i'm sure i can't wait to read your birth annoucement hopefully you have someone lined up to post for you
Elissa ~ Ryan still after 2 years at day care still throws a wobbley when we drop him off but once he is there and playing he quickly forgets who we are
oh and i forget to tell you i finally got a new car ( well new to us anyway) we brought a xy XY commodore it is so nice compared to my old VR BOMBADORE

Hi all, have been home since Tuesday, but been resting up and adjusting to a household of 4.
Things have been great though. My boy sleeps and feeds so well it is amazing!!!
I really can't believe my luck!
He will feed for atleast 20mins and sleeps for 22 hours a day. I hardly even know I have a newborn. He doesn't even cry for a feed, just knaws on his fist and whinges. He cries when his nappy is off and a little in the bath, but other then that he is an absolute angel.
Lachlan was such a hard baby as you all know with his severe reflux diagnosed at 3 weeks old but really didn't realise that we had problems from the minute he was born as he only ever fed on my boob for 5mins right from the start. No wonder he was never content and never slept much! Lachlan was so highly strung and high maintenance, but you can tell Riley is just so placid and easy going.
Riley generally feeds every 4 hours but can sometimes go 5-7 hours between feeds. Appears he is doing 4 hourly mainly overnight, so he has his nights and days mixed up, so after the advice of the CHN yesterday I am to wake him every 3 hours for a feed, which is soooo impossible! Only way it works is to take his nappy off and put him on his tummy. Can't complain with 4 hourly feeds but with going so long thru the day he is only getting in 6 feeds a day which is not enuf in my CHN'S eyes. So we are starting the process of waking him 3 hourly during the day but now I am finding he is too sleepy still and won't feed for as long as before without lots of poking and prodding. Ohhh well we will work it out, def prefer it this way then the way we had it with Lachlan that is for sure. Atleast I am helping lachlan adjust and spending some good quality time with him while bubby is sleeping.
Lachlan started to be very ratty and seeking lots of attention, but now we are home I have noticed a big difference and he has been so good for the last couple of days. Just hope that continues. I pulled up in the car the other day and he was pointing to us saying mummy and riley.... He gives him cuddles and kisses and really has been very gentle in the last couple of days. Even kneals beside him in his bouncy and touches and talks to him. It is so cute!
I had Riley weighed yesterday and when we left hospital he had lost 255 grams but 2 days after that had put on 160 grams. So he is doing fabulously. He is 1 week old tomorrow.
Just can't believe how happy I am as a new mum again. Just hope it continues.
I really should get too bed before my little man wakes.
Hope you are all well?
Ohhh and omg did I see ur ticker Kim, ur pregnant, CONGRATS!!!! I am so pleased for you and sending u lots and lots of sticky vibes your way. xoxoxoxoxoxo
-
Sheree glad to hear that everything is going well. Well done Riley.
-
welcome home sheree and wooohooo for a happy content bubba
-
Wow Sheree, he sounds fabulous!!!
Hope I get one like that....
-
I didn't get one like that and i had 3 Kim!!!
-
yeah Christine i think we got ripped off i didn't either lol
-
Only early days ladies but I sooo hope it continues as I think I deserve it after all the problems we had with Lachlan. Crossing my fingers!!! Just really can't believe my luck though if he continues to be this good.
-
shazz - woohoo on the new car! DO you feel special when you drive it after driving the VR
sheree - so fantastic to hear from you and to hear that Riley is an absolute angel! What za lucky Mummy you are this time around. Sounds like Lachlan is adjusting well to his new role of big brother. And the feeding sounds great too, well done!
Think Archie is getting his 2 year old molars, he was going mental last night, kept waking up beside himself, eventually settled at 1am after some Panadol and Euky Bear Rub for his stufy nose. We are heading to Adelaide in the morning for 2 weeks, so i will not be on here til we get back, can't wait to get back and hear how Riley is going and how your pregnancy is going Kim.
-
Have a good trip Elissa!
A new car Shazz???
Today DH decided that he wanted to go to the snow...no joke. We live in central NSW - no where near the snow. We went, Darcy had a ball (and 2 spews along the way), we saw kangaroos and emus and eagles. Lol we were only there for about an hour and then headed back.....12 hours round trip :dunno:
-
holy snappers Kim thats keen
have a great trip Elissa and yep i kinda feel special i sold the Vr today for lol wait for it $900
-
DD is looking at cars ATM, her problem is champagne tastes on a beer budget lol and is has to be "cute".
Kim- OMG what fun!!
Shazz- woo hoo, love getting a new car. What colour is it?
Elissa- have a great holiday.
Sheree- I am so jealous of you having a new baby.
-
Shazz: Well done on the new car! Enjoy your time off and GL for next semester! I have someone lined up in my Belly Buddies group but she is due the day after me so she may be a little busy haha I will text Sheree aswell so you guys will know as soon as it begins.....Who knows if it goes the same as last time I'll be able to post myself when I start to go into labour.
Welcome back Sheree! I have said it a million times but Riley is such a cutie!! You definitely deserve an easy baby!
Elissa: Jayden cried hysterically when we started sending him to a new carer once a week, I was starting to wonder what was going on there as I have never seen him like that...but he got to be fine and he would kiss and cuddle me and say goodbye without any trouble after about 8wks or more....now we don't go there as I'm not working now, but I will visit in case I need to send him back there when I go back to work....Archie will be fine its a lot for him to adjust to.
Kim: What a trip! Chris and I did that years ago but not as long a trip....I think it was an 8hr round trip and we were at the snow no more than 2hrs....I hated it! Poor Darcy vomitting! Was it just car sick or is she not well?
Christine: I don't want to sound beyond my years but what is it with kids these days and wanting brand new cars or cars that are over their budget? My 1st car that Chris and I shared was a $300 Escort which lasted 3yrs, before that went I bought my own 1st car Gemini for $1800 which also lasted 3yrs before getting stolen and burnt (no insurance so it wasn't "arranged"), I hated the car in the end but I was wrapped I had a car. My neice and my nephew have both bought brand new cars at the age of 18/19 and both are in debt before there lives have begun.
Well 13 days to go for me, I am getting so excited! Can't wait to see if its a boy or girl and its weight etc. I will miss the pregnancy, I have enjoyed it all(despite the aches and pains) and its gone so quickly!
Jayden is good, he still tries to climb over the bump but says sorry to the baby after he has done it and gives my belly a kiss. He knows there is a baby in there but doesn't understand it has to come out. I told him i ate the baby thats why its in my stomach but I didn't realise he would understand that and his jaw dropped and his hand went over his mouth, he was so shocked! I wont say that again haha. He has his cough back again, the poor boy but it doesn't seem to be distressing him too much.
Anyway I better get some rest who knows when the big day will be!
-
Lol christine the colour is that weird champane greeny silver colour i didn't like it at first but it is growing on me
-
kim - lol at the quick trip to the snow!! That is the sort of thing we do, just all of the sudden decide to go away at 8 o'clock at night or something, gotta admit we have never done a 12 hour round trip as a spur of the moment thing though!
tania - thanks for the reassurance about childcare, though thi time round i am not anxious about much at all. I am so excited about your bub too. lol at telling Jayden you ate it!
Just having a gourmet dinner at Maccas, thought we'd come here and log into the hotspot here and catch up on things on the net. Will come again next week, was sorta hoping I'd see a post about Tania's bub being born already, but no such luck, can't wait for that. Trip is going well, we arrived at holiday park to discover our bungalow only has 1 bedroom, but the bed is king size and we all fit beautifully in there together, oh, and the bungalow has a spa, oooohhh yeeeaaahhhh!!! There are lots of extremely friendly ducks where we are staying, we opened the door to feed them and they walked straight in! Arch has a bit of a cold, just an annoying night cough really and a bit more grizzly and tired than normal, his eye is looking a bit gunky too tonight, so hoping its not conjunctivitus!
-
A spa!! You lucky thing. The kids and I are at the ILs but no spa here :( Lovely ILs though so thats good.
-
ROFL Tania!! remind me not to use that explanation!!
Sounds exactly like the Dragon ATM ELissa. Geee where you're staying sounds nice!
A cute car Christine....lol my first car was a 1981 KA Laser Ghia....it was just beautiful and in mint condition until my brother got it. Silly thng though, you couldn't let the tank get below half or it would konk out. Was a couple of years before my dad had the fuel tank taken out nad they relaised there was a little cardborad bit that only got sucked onto the fuel line when the level was a bit low....like a new car after that :D
-
WOW some action in here! Its been so quiet lately!! Where is everyone?
Elissa: YAY for the spa! and the king size bed! Does Archie like ducks? Jayden would love ducks to be coming in the house haha. Jayden has the same sort of cough....no gunky eyes though. Hope he gets better soon! Sorry no birth announcement yet...I will text Sheree once its all on.
Kim: I've heard someone else say that not sure if it was IRL or TV or something but the reaction wasn't as bad as Jayden's.
I think I'm getting a little anxious now, I am having trouble sleeping despite how tired I am, I can't stay home...I have been shopping the past 2 days but making sure I stay home tomorrow. I'm not scared about the labour but I just want to know when its going to happen (obviously I can't know that though).
Jayden got all hypo at the library today so we didn't stay too long, but did have a nice lunch out with MIL...she wanted to celebrate FIL going fishing today for the rest of the week so she can have a break.....Like father like son!
Well better pack the dishwasher and put the washing in the dryer.
-
Hi lovely Mummies
Oh, TANIA ... You look so absolutely beautiful in your pic ... what a sweet bubba-belly :bellygrowing: Please if possible towards or about 40wks pop on an updated pic ... Oh, I'd so love that !!
Hey, ELISA forgive me if I overlooked it in a previous post but what was the reason why you moved to a smaller town ?? Am curious as we have thought about doing it too. BUT having moved here from Melb just over 3yrs ago I have truely established a life here now in Ballarat ;)
SHEREE, how good are you for getting on BB & letting your cheersquad here know how all is going with your new life with handsome Riley  It's going to be such a gorgeous journey for me to hear about him ... I feel so warm & lucky about that - Thank You for that !!
KIM, how are you feeling ?? ... Is your pregnancy similar to Darcy ?? How far are you now ?? ... I know so many questions for you & believe me I have a million, LOL  I loved being pregnant that much I pretty much drove everyone nutty, HA : )
Well, we have being trying for about a year now & yeh, I'm starting to get in the dumps about not falling preg. I so dread going about town especially now knowing I have a good chance in running into one of three pregnant Mum's from my Mother's group I went to until Cendrine was 18mths. My guess they are due about this or next mth ??
Then I got a phone call today from my sister to stop my thinking about my situation when she told me (She is 51, married with a almost 13yr old son) ... that she has ' Breast Cancer ' :crying:. OMG, I feel so sick for her & my heart is just aching for her. She will have surgery next Wed & then after see whether she is to have chemo.
She had a mamogram only in March, so goes to show not everything is detected as it wasn't back then.
In March is when my 26yr old SIL found out she has breast cancer :(. She has one more round of chemo to go.
At present I strangely am more worried about my nephew who turns 13 this Thurs. He only just started secondary school this year, ... what a blow to his life to deal with at his age & this time of his life as a teen starting out. My sister hasn't told him yet. She can't see the point in worrying him for now so she is going to tell him she is just going in to have surgery to have a lump removed. She will tell him that story days after his birthday (she wants him like any Mother to have a super b'day).
Sounds selfish to say but I don't know where I'm going to get the emotional strength to support both my sister & SIL equally at the same time. I understand support is most important as I went though breast cancer myself just before my 34th b'day with only my younger sister knowing (lucky for me they got it all in surgery & had no chemo).
Fingers & toes crossed everyone for my sister ....
:loveshower:Thanks everyone for listening & reading my long post (I haven't told anyone but DP) xoxoxoxoxo
-
Oh Lorelle, that's just horrible for her. For you too, but my heart breaks for her as a mum, can't imagine how you feel as it's your sister. babe.
I am going reasonably well thanks. No sickness now thank goodness, just starving. Had a bowl of rice bubbles at 11 o'clock last night lol.
I took Darcy to a free movie (alvin and the Chipmunks) at the local arts centre today, to see how she'd go. The silly thing started half an hour late, so she waited patiently like a very good girl, but we only lasted 10 minutes of the movie - it was just too much for her. They are showing the Bee movie next week, so I'm going to get Cam to take her. Maybe an animated one would be better. Now, though I want to see the rest of Alvin...lol might have to go and buy it.
-
Jess was 3 before I took her to the movies Kim. I remember we went with 3 of my friends to see Pocahontas and all us adults cried and Jess couldn't understand why! She also looked at the filthy floor when we got in the theatre, then at me and said "when do we have to throw our poporn on the floor mummy?" (ah memories...)
-
-
Lorelle: Thanks! I have posted a couple in the gallery if you want to have a look. I'd love to get some more done, I might this weekend. I put my lens in for my camera to get fixed 6wks ago now and I still have no idea when it will be back...I am furious! I pay $1600 for a camera (its nearly 2yrs old now), I expect it to work a bit long than that! Lucky we got extended warranty on it but the warranty ppl are dodgy as...I deal with them through work our tech's refuse to do work for them because they are dodgy, slow and don't pay alot of claims. Anyway I obviously won't have it back for the birth, but i might be able to borrow SIL#4's as she has the model up from ours, she should be able to take some belly pics too! Try not to give up all hope with TTC, my SIL#5 they tried for about 6yrs (maybe more) they tried natural, IVF, egg donation etc and nothing worked then they ended up falling PG naturally and had a beautiful baby boy. That is terrible news about your sister! My mum went through it at xmas time but just had to have radiotherapy and is all good now! It may have only just started if she had a mamogram in March, surely it would have picked it up then.
Kim: Thats great you feel good! I am quite the opposite, I am hardly ever hungry now. I had 2 slices of toast for brekki, sml bowl of chips and an iced chocolate at 10.30am then nothing til dinner at 6.30pm I wasn't even hungry at dinner just figured I should eat....although I did just have chocolate self saucing pudding with icecream hehe that wasn't cause I was hungry though haha.
Chris and I were talking about taking Jayden to the movies...I'm not brave enough yet but he will sit through a whole movie at home with out moving the whole time. I took my nephew for the 1st time when he was 3.
Christine: 3 must be the age to brave it maybe? How cute what Jess said! Kids are so innocent!
-
Lorelle sorry to hear about you sis
Kim we took ryan to see that when it first came out he sat through the whole thing and it was the start of his love affair with the tv lol before then he hardly ever stopped in front of it he just wasn't interested now if you turn it of mickey mouse all hell breaks loose
-
tania - yep, Archie loves the ducks so much, very cool place here. LOL at your MIL celebrating getting rid of the hubby! Can't wait to hear the exciting news, im wishing you the most lovely perfect birth ever.
Lorelle - the only reason we moved to the smaller town is because my husband got a juob there, i would rather live in our old town which is at least 4 times bigger, but we will make do in the small town for the next few years. Its great that you are enjoying Ballarat so much, Ballarat is a place that i think i would enjoy living in too. I am so sorry to hear about the breast cancer in your life right now, i am sending you lots of strentgh to be there for your friends and family during their challenges, but just remember to look after yourself also. It must be so hard to see other mums from your old group about to have their second bub when you have been trying so hard all year, big hugs.
christine - ROFL about Jess asking why she had to throw her popcorn on the floor!!
Hi to everyone else
We are still having a lovely time here, Archie is quite misaerable though with his cold, didn't get conjunctivitus though which is great. We went shopping this morning and on the way past the pet store i saw the breed of dog i love and there was the most adorable pup there, i SO want one, our landlords don't allow pets though unfortunately.....maybe we could talk them round....he he he
-
I thought you already had a dog ELissa......
you guys will never guess what.....far out bleeding again!!! I want to stamp my feet and yell at someone, but obviously that won't do any good.
Looks very much like Darcy will be an only child....
-
Oh Kim my darling, sending love and hugs.
-
OH kim i am sending you every ounce of sticky vibes i can muster hun hang in there
-
Oh Kim!!! Hang in there Hun.....sending you truckloads of :stickyvibesgirl:
Thanks Elissa, I hope it goes perfect too. I'm not nervous at all as I had a pretty good experience with Jayden....I'm actually feeling great and not even in a hurry to have it over with either which was with Jayden! Just sneak the dog in, when we were in Melb we told our landlords we had 1 outside dog but we had 2 in & outside dogs.... they never knew or if they did they never said anything.
Got a MW appt tomorrow, I'm taking Jayden for the 1st (maybe last) time so he can hear the HB, hope he is good for me tomorrow haha. Appt is at 8.45am so I better go to bed, didn't get to sleep until 3am last night as I was at an 18th party then couldn't sleep.
-
Gosh you are so close Tania, how exciting. Can't wait to know what you have. Had any niggles yet????
-
How exciting Tania, can't wait to hear your news.
-
I know, I can't believe I am due on Friday!! Nothing really yet just cramps that are no worse than period pain and they aren't coming in waves or anything. I had a MW appt yesterday, she said I am shrinking, I measured 36cm nearly 3 weeks ago and yesterday I was 34cm. We have made an Ob appt for next Wed which would make me overdue but the MW seems confident I will have gone before then.
My MIL threw me a last minute semi surprise baby shower, it was just family but it was really nice! My niece bought the baby a 2pk of pink & red bodysuits (1 has hippos on it)....She says she "knows" its a girl, I think its a girl too but I'm not that confident to buy anything pink LOL.
Anyway I'm off to put some washing on and play with Jayden
-
It's all alright...had an unltrasound today and apparently I am going to be one of those 30% that bleed....
How lovely of your MIL Tania!
