Well guess who is at home from work today? Me.
DC phoned me yesterday afternoon Katy had a temp of almost 40 and a rash from head to toe. Looked just like a heat rash. He cheeks were bunnings red and stifling to touch.
Anyway, last night was almost the worst night sleep in ages. She did not go down to bed until 10:30 (after a 3 hour battle) and then came into our bed just after midnight and it was like sleeping (or attempting to sleep) with an oven.
Ended up on the lounge from 4am so DH could sleep (he has stocktake this week, working 18 hr days) - great timing. NOT
Katy seems to be a bit better today - just rally clingy and REALLY REALLY naughty. Rash is just pimply like but not much colour and cheeks are not so red.
I have AF so bad I am vomiting and my back is killing me so I feel crap.
Anyway - enough of my rambling. Hope you all have a great day.

leanne - oh waht a crappy 24 hours you have had. Glad the Katy seems to be on the mend and i hope that AF disappears quickly. Is af always awful for you? Good to hear that the multi vitamins are working for you too.

Well, i just got off the phone to my Uncles wife, boy am i in the poo! I think i have just accidently started my first ever b!tch fight. My uncle's wife loves drama and im pretty sure now that she is one of those poeple who actually truly believe their own lies. She has made up awful things about my Aunty and her partner, really awful things, so awful that her partner is up on charges and she even said that my Aunty had her duaghter taken away from her (which she hasn't i talked to my cousin today who was indeed with her mum). Well I called my Aunty today and told her the things that are being said and askd if they were true and whts actually been going on, basically like i thought my uncle's wife is full of it. So my Aunty send her a text message telling her that she know the lies shes been saying and would like her to stop. My Uncles wife just called me to barrel me about talking to my aunty and telling her everything....well yeah....shes my aunty and you are making awful things up about her!! Gosh some poeple are really strange, and she is one of them!

Well done if you managed to understand all of that LOL

I haven't done ANY housework at all today, the house is putrid, must go do the dishes and start tea

Took Katy to the dr today. Two middle ear infections, a chest infection and slight asthma. No wonder she was so naughty, was probably feeling really yuk.
I think I have half a pharmacy in my fridge now, and almost need to write a roster for the drugs she needs to take!
I am off again tomorrow, dr says Katy needs the rest away from DC

So now I am really stressed cause I left my work in a mess yesterday afternoon, there is a heap of work to be done and my boss is away in another office for most of next week. I know I should not feel guilty for staying home, but I do. I just hope I don't catch anything now.

One upside of being home today is KAty is bathed, fed and in bed asleep and it's not even 7pm. Could have a lot to do with being sick but, she did not even question it when I asked her if she wanted to go to bed.

leanne - woohoo on Katy going to bed without a fight, but its awful to hear that she is unwell again, i hope you don't catch it too. try not to feel guilty about work, Katy comes first and surely everyone would understand that.

Uncles wife called me up last night to apologise and make sure i wasn't upset so all is okay with us which makes life a lot easier and happier. I learnt a big life lesson yesterday about not getting involved in other peoples business! I called my 17 year old sister last night to ask her about her pregnancy (she hadn't told me yet), she is all "oh this is gonna be so great having a baby, i have everything sorted out, we are gonna get a house, the baby bonus will help us buy stuff for the baby, plus i have friends who are giving me their baby's stuff, we are so happy and everything is wonderful" God that girl is gonna get a reality check in 9 months. I am just butting out, she never listens to anyone anyway so im not gonna stress myself about it, ust hoping for the best.

Oh god Elissa, can you make her mind Archie for the weekend to get a reality check?? Did you tell her her bbs will droop and she'll get stretch marks LOL

lol, she is already absolutely covered in stretchies, the poor girl has awful skin, so i don't think that would work Christine, but a good idea. This girl just doesn't live in reality and i don't beleive she ever really will. She messaged me this arvo to say that she is 5.5 weeks along. Strange, cause she told everyone that she has know about her pregnancy for weeks. I really hope one day that a doctor takes her seriously and investigates her mental health, mum and I are really thinking she has bi polar, which we have a family history of, but no doctors care they all just think she is a typical hormonal teenager....anyways, thats a whole nother thread LOL

I am having a book party this afternoon.

Three people turned up. Three!!!
That 5 ditchers in the 10 minutes prior to it starting.
No food went, but boy did I have a glass of wine (okay more than one glass.......4) after they went.
Sales were cr@ppy too, which meant no pressies for me.
Oh well

Katy still sick. Can you believe it. Her temps are back up past 38 degress. And grumpy? Far out!
I can't take any more time off work, What does one do?

There is so much illness around at the moment, I have had at least 5 children off every day this past few weeks, one day we even had 5 teachers off. I am down to my last day of sick leave at full pay (have about 10 at 1/2 pay) but i think I get some more soon.

There is so much sickness going around at the moment. This year's flu is really bad. My boss has had it about 5 times in 4 months. Just keeps coming back but with different symptoms. The 'mum' in me says stay home with her tomorrow (and give lots of cuddles) but the 'worker' in me says she should be fine.
The poor little thing has had such a runny nose these last few days her top lip is red raw from where I have been wiping, or from where she has been licking. And the gap between the nostrils and top lip are 'bunnings red'.
I hate having to work some days.
Anyway, seeing as missy is in bed, might take the opp. to either iron or study. I think study.

leanne - lol at your baking disasters for the book party, i like your attitude! bummer about the lack of attendance and purchasing, and i hope katy get well soon and stops catching all these bugs. I sy you should take the time to drink wine!

Still at mum's, i love being with my mum and sisters all the time. Jay had a great night in Melbourne. I went out with mum to the pubs last night while my sister watched Archie (who slept through!) had a drink and watched a few bands, was good, but boy did i pay for it this morning, i had to have a nap this arvo, lucky i mum to take Archie to the park, i feel very spoilt today.

I have to tell you this, it is so funny, yet SO scary!! My 17 year old preg sis was telling me the names they have picked out for the baby. For a boy they have Jett James, which i love, but her bf really seriously wanted to name a boy Bam, WTF!! Also, their girls name....drumroll please........Calais (yes as in the car, the bf is Holden mad) and in my sisters words "it would be so cool cause we can buy Calais badges and stick them on the bedroom door and stuff!" OMG, just proves how young adn not ready for parenthood they are, but it did give me a good laugh, if i didn't laugh I'd cry!

My DH drove a calais for years (before we went Mazda shopping). Can't wait till he gets home from work so I can tell him.

I just caught my darling Katy girl sleep talking. Hilarious. She was laughing at herself too. Must be proud of the little conversation she was having with herself.

Home from Mums now, was great and relaxing staying there but good to be home too. First month ttc and i already have myself convinced im pg, gosh i just love setting myself up for disappointment!

Archie was doing some acrobatics on the couch and fell backwards off the back and laded on his head on the tiles, the whole place is carpeted apart from a few tiles at the front door, typical! He seems fine though, that kid has a tough head.

Hey girls....how is everyone?

Kim: Did you have a scan? How did it go?

I haven't had much of a chance to catch up. I think Jayden has conjunctivitis, Ashlea looks to be ok but I thought she had it too and my eyes have been itchy but not yukky like Jayden's. We are off to the Dr's this morning to get it and his cough checked out.

Ashlea is back to BF'ing again....this girl has no idea what she wants haha...she refused the boob yesterday morning but then was fine throughout the day. Its still painful but I'll keep at it! I can't believe she is already 4wks old! I'll have to put some more pics of Jayden and Ash on FB this arve if I get a chance.

I'll also try to catch up with the thread this arve too! Oh Elissa I did see what your sis wants to name her baby...hmmm poor child! Maybe she will change her mind...its only early days. Did you also say something about the $$$ you will spend on pregnancy tests? I got 20 tests off ebay for $10...might be worth checking out...I wasn't going to spend heaps of money on the tests only to find it negative haha (my first one was a positive though).

Scan went great!!! Little buggar was moving around so much they couldn't even get a really accurate Nuchal measurement (not that it mattered) I was very nervous though....I'm sure my heart stopped waitinig for my turn. Had my first MW appointment and now allowing myself to get excited! But have the ILs here this weekend and my parents the next and we should be moving soon so I guess I might be scarse for a few weeks.

I so want to be pregant, but my doctor won't give me the needed drugs until I lose 15kgs. I have been trying everyting since Jan and I have lost wait for it................. drum roll please.........

And then you get people who at size 10 say I think I might go on Tony F for 6 weeks to slim down for summer. Try falling out of a size 16. Laying on the bed just so you can do the button on your jeans up... I just want to be sz 14. Not asking too much here am I? I am so over it. Bluddie PCOS. Bluddie catch 22 it is.

leanne - i am so sorry about your situation, how damn frustrating and upsetting for you!! How the heck are you meant to lose the weight?? What is the reason the doc wont give you the meds whilst you are oerweight? Is it because the chances of you falling pg whilst overweight is slim?? I wish i could make things easier for you xx

Its only my first 2WW and it is absolutely sending me balmey!!! Arch and I found a really awesome playground here this arvo, can't wait to take him back there tomorrow, is its not pouring with rain all day, hopefully i will be able to meet some other mums there.

Leanne- I hear you! Went to a womens dinner last year and this girl about 22 was whinging cause she was soooo fat that none od her size 8 stuff fit anymore (I resisted the urge to punch her) Wel done on the 1kg though.

Well I'm supposed to be stuck into housework today because my ILs are arriving soon - I cannot be stuffed. Had to take and AL day cos Cam's roster is crap so I guess that's not a bad thing - I just need a day off. A real day off lol. Oh and the headaches have started. I forgot how bad they got with Darcy.....every ruddy day......
But other than thet we're great out here :D

Spent the morning at the playground, it is the first sunny day here since we moved here. The playground was swarming with mums and kids, i couldn't believe it! I smiled at every single one of them and tried to initiate convo, only one mum and one grandpa actually gave me the time of day, snobby hicks!!

I was ttc Elissa but now we can't afford it (mortgage repaments $2035 per fortnight) and I am too old to leave it a few years so no more babies for me. I am quite sad about it, of my MG 3 of them are now pg so I am pretty envious but I have to remember that this will be their 2nd child and I already have 3 so I should be grateful for what I have.

Elissa: I hope Archie starts sleeping in again for you...I like Jayden to wake up at about 7.30am so I can be up earlier and have brekki and a shower in peace. What snobby mummies!! Well least you tried!

Sheree: Woohoo on Riley sleeping 12hrs! I don't think Ashlea has gone that long yet but she does sleep through some nights, I'd wake her up for a feed before 12hrs anyway because of her weight loss.

Leanne: Congrats on the 1 kg!!! Something is better than nothing. I'm going to buy an excercise bike this weekend I think, I have to lose my extra kgs. I only have 2kgs to get back to what I was before Ashlea but still 10kgs to get to what I was before Jayden, somewhere in the middle I'd be happy with.

We have an LC appt today, I'm very excited to go this time as I'm sure Ashlea has gained a bit of weight and she has only had 3 EBM bottles since last Friday (2 were yesterday cause I had milk that had to be used and then because of that bottle I got too engorged and she couldn't/wouldn't latch on). Jayden is on AB's for yet another cold, I thought he was getting conjunctivitis but it cleared up over night, but the Dr gave us eye drops just in case it flared up again. I think I am nearly over my cold (not that it was bad at all) and Ashlea is not sick at all haha. I took Ashlea to Chris' work yesterday, he almost seemed a bit proud introducing her to ppl and he was making gooey faces at her the other day....there is hope for that boy yet!!

Jodie said to say hi to everyone, she said Shelli is nearly walking and she is a dream child compared to Shaun who is a bit of a handful now. He had his ear checked the other day and he has constant fluid behind both ears, he is seeing a specialist in Oct and probably a candidate for grommits...other than that she said all is well.
Well I better see if my princess is awake, its nearly feed time and I better check on Jayden...He's watching Diego.

christine - oh, im sorry your not ttc anymore, its not a nice feeling knowing that you wont be doing it again. I think you just have to try and remember and focus on the positives, such as your beautiful 3 children, your house and all the other wonderful things in your life now and in the future.

tania - FDC is a great idea, you get the best of both worlds, i thought about doing it, but i know that i wouldn't want to have to look after other people's kids, and i would be biased and treat Archie better than them, at least im honest i spose! Chris sounds like a stubborn bugger, i bet he is completely head over heels for Ashlea, he just wont show it to spite you! Its great that you are excited about your LC appointement, says alot about your current bf relationship, yay! Glad you are over your cold, hope the ABs kick Jayden's cold in the butt. I am sitting on the couch with a very sleepy boy cuddled up to me, thats what happens when he insists on getting up before the sun! Gorgeous day here, 18 and sunny! It;ll be the first time i use the clothes line since we moved here 2 months ago. Have met a few kids the same age or a month younger than Archie lately and they are all taller and chunkier than him, which is really strange cause he has always been the biggest for so long, that reminds me, i should book and appointment for his 2 year check up at CYH. Also he has lost a kilo in the last few months, i guess they all just develope at their own rate, he'll prob be bigger than everyone again by next month!

Riley slept 12 hours.

Lachlan cries all the time lately, does anyone else's children do that? He is a real sooky boy, but geez all this crying is doing my head in. He only sleeps 2 out of a 7 day week during the day, so probably just tired.......... I wish he wouldn't cut out his day sleeps so soon, I really need my rest!

Well Riley is going gr8 guns atm. He was getting very unsettled and we thought Reflux. We still aren't sure, but if it is, it is MILD! I just want to make it to the 12 week mark before I make a decision on it re: Meds etc... But I really don't think we are heading in that direction, provided it gets no worse then atm, then he will be fine. Like I said we thought Reflux as we had a two week period of him being really unsettled, not sleeping, fussy at the breast, standing up on me in pain at feeds, wet burps with pain, terribly upset by hiccups, bad wind - BUT everything seems to have settled again. Hopefully it continues.

He is finally understanding night and day, and the last 3 nights has been easier to get to bed. Yes he did a 12 hour stretch for us, but the last few nights he has gone 7 hours between feeds and 6 hour sleep stretches. So that aint bad for a newborn! Then he will wake at 6.30am and doesn't even cry, just kicks about and doesn't disturb me. I can hear him just kickin about. So then sometimes I don't go and get him till about 8.30am or 9am and he is wide awake. Then he went down easy this morn for his morning sleep, but this afternoon at this stage is a different story. Ohhh well we are getting there and working on it. I still think he is pretty good for a newborn. As long as he sleeps at night - I DON'T CARE!

He is 9 weeks old TODAY. Boy how time flies.....

Ohhh also I got my papsmear results back. I finally have a clear papsmear. Since Lachlan was born I have had a low grade abnormality ever since and had a colposcopy to ensure no cancer after it being low grade for so long and found out I had HPV. When falling pregnant with Riley I had a papsmear that said possible high grade, so had another colposcopy whilst pregnant with him and it came back as low grade. So my 6 week papsmear results have come back all clear. Whahooo... what a relief. So hopefully my HPV has dissappeared too?????
