Right Chris you wait until I meet you, boy are you in trouble!
Hi Girls,
Thanks girls for wishing Phoebe a happy 4th month Birthday, LOL.....Happy 4th Month Birthday to Darcy & Kaitlyn.
Well Saturday was fairly relaxed, but today DH and I spent the day in the garden, tidying up, mowing and all that fun stuff (yeah right). OMG, my neck and back are so sore. With the weather starting to warm up it's nice to get outside in the sunshine.
As for Little Miss Phoebe, she is doing well. Actually this afternoon she fell asleep at 5.30, it is now 10 and she is still in the land of nod. She NEVER goes to sleep at that time of the day and sleeps this long. Not sure if I should go and wake her or just wait for her. I was going to introduce the 10pm roll over feed, but haven't got there yet....perhaps tonight is the night to get started on it.
Nat ~ sorry to hear that little Em has Broncilitis (sp, I think that's right). Phoebe had that a month or so ago and it isn't really pleasant is it? Fortunately she didn't get so bad that she had to be hospitalised. Sounds like Em is on the mend so that's good. Yes it does seem like yesterday that you came down from your room to visit me whilst we were both in hospital...ah *sigh* Has anyone got a magic wand to turn back the clock???
Srappy ~ thinking of me....ah, how nice!!! That just warms the ****les of my heart (LOL). Yes, that time for injections for our little ones....DH wants to come with us, so hopefully we can have it done this week (he is VERY involved, which is good).
Sorry to the girls I have missed....but I will be back tomorrow, I promise.
Take Care X
Sheree, you have my permission too! I'll even put you up and feed you LOL! I'm a good cook! LOL
Morning Girls,
I have been putting off posting this morning because I have been expecting a certain little boy to wake from his slumber...but he is still sound asleep.
Sheree: How was your lunch with Nikki? Where did you go? Nikki knows how bad Chris is, although in his defence, he is getting a bit better. He took Jayden from his gym and took him into the bedroom and was talking and playing for about half an hour while I was reading through posts. Usually Chris asks if he can pick Jayden up, I keep telling him Jayden is his son too he can do what he likes LOL.
Shazz: Hope you get better soon!!
Mummy: A day out in the sunshine sounds fantastic...poor you though getting a sore neck and back! Hope it gets better soon. OMG at Miss Phoebe, sleeping that long for you, I would want to wake Jayden up becuase I know he'd wake up just as I got to bed (do you think they know?). Whats a roll over feed? When you feed them when they are still half asleep? I've tried that a couple of times with Jayden, but he thinks its play time after that LOL.
Kim: Your a good cook? Can I come down with Sheree and watch her kick butt? LOL
We had SIL#2 over for a little bit last night with 2 of her kids (14yrs & 17 yrs) & hubby just when I was trying to get Jayden to have a nap (so I could cook dinner and eat). Of course he got passed around and then put in his cot but they found his toys in a basket and started showing them to him and then they found his shoes and were trying them on him!! Neice #4 asked if she could pick him up again and I said well he won't be going to sleep now (its was 8.15pm) but as soon as she picked him up he screamed so loud!! I got him back screaming and they all went home. He calmed down and I got to eat but he started up again when I was changing him into his PJ's. I fed him and he passed out completely on me so I put him in his cot at 9pm and didn't hear from him til 4.15am and again he fell asleep while I was feeding and he is still asleep now!! We had gone into town yesterday and he didn't have all his usual sleeps during the day so poor thing must have been pooped!!
Well I might attempt a shower before he wakes up. Have a great day girls
oxoxox
Grrr stupid weather - this is day number 6 it has rained pretty much non stop - very much getting cabin fever here....and the grass seed I put down was designed for drought!!!
Darcy's so tired today. Usually she puts up one hell of a battle for her daytime sleeps but she's gone right of each time I've put her down today - this is her third one. It's freezing so I've wrapped her in light fleece so she's snug - maybe that's it. Dunno - who can pick 'em?
Now you mums that bf - is there any problem if you stand up to do it? You know how you shouldn't give a bottle whilst moving. It's just that the last few days feeds are a bit of a trauma and that's the only way she'll start a feed. I don't know if it's cos she gets frustrated sucking for a let down or what.
Yeah I just don't understand these partners don't they want to bond with their children?????
Tania - we went to the Bargara Pub and it was really nice!
Well we have had some day sleeps yay.
The first sleep was one that he got grizzely and I as usual put his dummy in push his head up against my chest and pack his bum and then he wants to sleep on me, there is no getting him off me or he just wakes up, but I have learnt to lay on the bed on my back with him on my chest after 5mins roll on my side and keep patting his bum and still be close to him and then after another 5mins slowly roll him onto his back with a verbal shhhhhh shhhhhhhh and rubbing of the forehead and whalaaa, but I have to keep putting the dummy back in, so mummy had a sleep with lachlan for 2 hours this morning and now this afternoon he got graumpy at about 3ish and the same deal but I didn't want to go to sleep this arve, so I tried putting him in his cot in his tri pillow and he wouldn't have a bar of it, cried his heart out, picked him up got him to sleep again and this time when I put him down he was bright eyed - agggh tricked ya mummy. but then I wrapped him put his dummy in, verbally sssshhhhhed him and rubbed his forhead and he is still asleep and it is 5pm yayyyyyy!!!! Finally he is getting the hint he needs sleep and finally I can get some things done. Must be the rainy weather, I am hoping not and it is actually a routine of morning and afternoon sleep, please don't dampen my spirits lol.
Going to go and finish cooking dinner now, cheerio
Ohh and I have finally updated Lachie's website with pics from Week 9-15 if you want to take a peek. The link is in my siggy below.
Hey Girls,
Kim: It was raining here today too, I know we need the rain etc etc but its so miserable when it rains and makes me want to stay in bed all day haha. I can't see why you couldn't BF whist standing, but I had never heard about bottles when moving either. I have walked around while Jayden has fed, I only do it if I have to though like when I'm at the health clinic and I have to go out to the waiting room cause the next person is there waiting.
Vic: I think it might be time for me to just leave Jayden with DP, he's more into a routine now so I could work it around feeds and sleep etc without DP knowing but it might boost his confidence a bit with him.
Sheree: Bargara pub is great! Have you been to Kacy's next door? That is even better but some things are a bit $$$. When are you in town next? We really have to stop saying we are going to meet up and just do it hey? haha. With the swimming thing, I was thinking we should just take the boys and not to the actual lessons, 6mths is too far away LOL I know it will go quick, but I want to get Jayden in the water sooner than that. I really have to go up to work and see them, I forgot to take the professional pics last time so I might go up this week. Hows Nikki doing? OOO I checked out Lachie's site...he is adorable!! I love the Manchester United outfit, did your sister get him that? Does he have black pants? Where did you get them from. I have been looking for black pants in his size but can only find navy blue :(
Jayden also loves going to sleep on my chest and loves sleeping on his belly. What would the risks be now with putting babies to sleep on their bellies? Would I still roll him back once he has gone to sleep or would he be ok? I have left him on his belly before quite a while ago because I fell asleep too and he was ok. He will go to sleep on his side or on his back too but most times I have to be holding him before he will go. Looks like the cot is a big hit....he wakes up with big smiles, he must be getting better sleep now he has more room than in the cradle.
Well I might dry my hair and have another early night although it was 11pm again last night cause I started watching a movie. Oh and my MSN isn't workin for some reason, I might check on the other computer see if that one is working....hopefully its back up tomorrow.
Night girls

Hi Girls!!
Just thought i would pop my head in and let you guys know i am still alive. We have been very busy moving and this is the first time i have had the computer set up.
I will come back on tomorrow and do personals. Briley is waiting to come for a bath with mummy now.
Talk then,
Sara
Sara you actually sound like you are having fun!!! Good on you girl.
Tania I don't know what the risks would be. I know what the guidleines are, but like Vic I do what I feel is appropriate.
Vic any time you need a break - Darcy LOVES lots a kids and I don''t mind the noise or the mess LOL.
GO LACHIE, GO LACHIE, GO LACHIE! Sheree did you ever think it would be an achievment to get housework done??
Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well.
I just got back from the Tresillian which was fantstic!! I am at least getting 5 hours out of my little one at night and last night she slept even more. The days are hard though as she only sleeps for 1/2 an hour at a time so I have to re settle her constantly to get some more zzzz in there before feeds. It was tough as she did cry a lot and the nurses told me she is a really tough baby but I got through it and hope it gets better as the days go on. At least I dont have to rock her to sleep and she does go to sleep in her cot. I guess eventually she will go from one sleep cycle to the next without my help.
Vic I keep forgetting to say i am so proud of you for bf as long as you did, you really did do a super job honey.
And Tania, I am up for a swim, don't look at my grose body thou!!!!!!!!!
Angelique - congrats, and yeah what tips did they give, its all about settling isn't it???
Well we went to the CHN today and Lachie has finally passed the 5kg mark, YAY!!!! He is 5.11kgs at 16 weeks, he has grown 3cm in length in 2 weeks and is now 61cm long and I think his head circumferance was 42cm. So he gained 110 grams a week and on average I think the CHN was working out on breastmilk he was only averaging 70-80grams, so guess we made the right decision. So with him refusing feeds and chucking tremendous amounts I can be assured that he is still getting what he needs. I needed to see those scales today to totally rest my mind. The CHN thinks that we need to beef him up a little, and to try and keep some of that fluid down we are going to try some Farix, worth a try! See how that goes.
Lachie has just had another 2 hour sleep with me, so hopefully we are getting into a daytime routine of sleep........
Also don't think I told anyone, can't remember, but 2 nights ago he slept for 8 hours straight! Yep that's right 8 hours, he started to stir at 5am, and by this time every night I have put the dummy back in about a zillion times due to him stiring, so I was happy with that, at 6am I fed him, but think I could have gotten longer out of him, but was happy with that for now. Then he slept till 8am, and that was the same day then that he had 2 x 2 hour sleeps morning and afternoon and then he had an hour before bath time and bath time is approx 8:30pm. Wow he finally realises I just might like/need this sleep. Hehe.
Oh and Tania, it haunted on me that you asked me another question, re: Man united gear. Wow you could read that could you, yeah that is Wade's favourite english soccer team and we had to deck him out with the gear. My sister got it for us over in London. And no we don't have black pants, we just put him in red trackies to wear with it! He wore that outfit when we went to soccer and watched Wade loose the other night. Hehe.
Hi Girls!!
Well....as you all know we have been very, very busy moving and we are finally in and kinda settled. I've just got to unpack a few boxes of small things and set up Briley's room and we're right! I'm so glad to finally be in. The dogs love it! We've already had a little event of things happen since we've been here. I was coming down the drive on saturday arvo and i saw a dead possum on the side of the drive way. I pulled up and was looking at it and thought it had a massive growth on the side of it face so i got out of the car to have a closer look. When i walked over to it the growth moved!!! Then it lifted its head and i realised it was the possums baby!! It was a baby ringtale possum.
Lucky Brent's brother Dean was behind me in another car and came and picked it up and took it into the house. We called the wild life people, but they just gave us the run around. Do you think anyone would come and get the poor little bugger...NO!! I could'nt believe it. So Dean and his g/f took it in with them that night and took it too the wild life lady the next day. They will bring it back here to realase it when it gets older.
Now for Briley......She had decided that she is ready to sit up!! The other day I walked outside while Brent's mum was in the kitchen and she said to me,"Sara, have a look at this", i looked up and could'nt really understand what i was seeing at first then i realised what she was talking about. Briley had sat up completely and toppled over her legs and was nearly falling out of the rocker she was in!!! I could'nt believe it. She has been trying to sit up for a little while now, but only a little bit. Then again today she sat right up with all of her back of the back of the rocker. She is a determined little bugger!! She is also in her own room now. Its the right time since now she is sleeping throught the night.
Briley is also settling into her routine very nicely. Last night she fell asleep at about 8pm and i woke her for a shower with me and a bottle at about 9.30pm and she slept through till 10.30am thismorning. She has even gone back to bed now!! Don't worry i count myself very, very lucky!! She has been talking so much lately. Its so cute. My mum even had her laughing the other day. It sounds like a different baby when she does that.
Briley's appointment has been booked for the eye specialist out at the hospital for her tear duct. It will be on the 18 October. And for my appointment with the gynaecologist....well i have to wait until 9 February 2007. Pethatic is'nt it! At least Briley does'nt have to wait that long. She is the most important thing.
Ok for personals.....
Sheree - Its great to hear that Lachie is going well now. He just needed a bit of time did'nt he. Did all go well after you put him on the formula or are you still b/f?? I wish i could have b/f for longer but i'm glad Briley is on the formula cause she is just the most content baby. I can still bond with her and she still gets what she need out of the formula. I'm happy as long as she is happy.
Kim - I am happy that i am finally here in the new house, but the move itself was an absolute pain in the you-know-what!! It just seemed never ending. Then there was the cleaning.....never again!!!!
Did i mention that its bloody cold up here!! Everynight since we have been up here it been 2 degrees and under!! And i had to catch a cold did'nt i. The dogs look at me with begging in their eyes to come inside, i feel so bad.
Hope everyone else is going fine and dandy. I am really starting to enjoy motherhood and my role as a SAHM. Its seem to be just too easy at the moment. TOUCH WOOD!!!:)
Anyhow, talk to you all tomorrow, i am going to bed now. Brent and Briley are tucked in nicely so i'd better go and join them.
:bedtime:
Nite Nite
Ooh a possum baby Sara! Between that and the emu, soon you'll have your own wildlife creche! Good to hear Brileys settled. Monkey trying to sit up! I have one of those too. Seems to irriatate her no end that she does topple once she manages to get herself upright LOL.
Vic - you do not have a tank boy. He's lovely. Odie's gorgeous too. I love the Mr Incredibles outfit.
Sheree - there's no grose bodies.....we're all in the same boat! Lachie might be a featherweight, and cute, but he trounces all over Darcy in the height and head circumfirence stakes! Gee he looks like Wade doesn't he?
Ang - Hey sweety! You sound a bit more confident! They didn't make you do anything you didn't want to did they? (I went to Tresillian too).
Tania - any more mail??
Nat - where are you, and Kelly, and Shan and Allison?
Well we have had a week of jabs. I had my depo inj on Monday - man my arm is still sore! The needle didn't hurt, just afterwards. Darcy unexpectedly (didn't think I would get an appointment yesterday when I rang) had her 4 month shots yesterday too. They didn't worry her too much, only cried a bit. Last lot had no effect, but she was so clingy yesterday arvo. I put her to bed and she was ok for a coupl of hours, but as soon as I wanted to go to bed she started screaming like I haven't heard before. It was like she was in pain. She had a huge fever too. I gave her panadol, took off the blankets. Ended up unwrapping her and changing that - it was wet anyway from sweat and feeding her. Was still up heaps settling her back down poor little thing. She didn't want to feed this morning either....uhoh I hear a conversation in the cot....BBL.
Hi Guys,
Hope you are all well.
Well, the tips they gave me were hard to stick to and still are. I guess it depends on your baby but the big thing they tell you is you should let your baby get from one sleep cycle to the next, at least give them 5 minutes then go in and help them on and off and use the dummy as a last resort. For me I can now put Katerina down for her sleeps during the day in her cot and she will winge but go off to sleep for about 30 minutes but needs lots of help to move onto the next cycle. In the end I have to use the dummy. In the night she just naturally goes from one cycle to the next so I have no Idea why in the daytime she cant make that transition. I was told she is too alert and a very very tough and intense baby. I am glad that the nurses thought so as I though I was the mad one. hehhahah.
In the beginning I had to endure a lot of crying but I gave it a go as it was my last hope and I am glad I did as now Katerina is relaxed and does not cry at the top of her lungs like she used to. It is hard ladies but if it is your last hope what can you do.
I guess all babies are different and mine needs lots of pushing to get to that stage.
Hmm Sara (thanks Vic that's what else I wanted to write). I've just had two appts in the last fornight with the gynae and she was able to make them herself. Why is it taking so long? Is it still for your bleeding?
See Vic Adam's not a tank. Darcy only weighs 6.1kg. There's babies at Leanne and my mothersgroup that weigh 10kg!!! Only trouble is at that heavy their bones aren't strong enough to support them so all the body development milestones will be delayed.
Morning girls!!
Well Briley had another good night lastnight. She went to bed at about 9pm and i had to wake her at 9.30am. She even still has her cat naps during the day. I also forgot to mention in my last post that i am starting to give her puree'd foods. She just seems hungry so i tried her on a little pumpkin, potato and beef puree the other night and she ate all of what i gave her. She was even opening her mouth for it. I know your not supposed to till 4 months but she just seemed hungry.
Vic/Kim - Yeah it public as i don't have private health cover. I'm not sure why its going to take so long, prolly heaps of other people waiting. Before i fell pregnant with Briley i was having heaps of issues with my periods, irregular bleeding since the start of my periods(aged 10), constant period like cramping and i have had to go to the hospital a few times for it once for a suspected cyst on my ovary(not diagnosed i might add, just speculated). I went for a series of ultrasounds and they found an abrasion on my uterus which they wanted to investigate further. So i was booked in for a hystercoscopy and a laparoscopy which is the camera in the vagina, one in the belly button and one in the side. I was on strict orders NOT TO FALL PREGNANT!! They must have jinxed me cause i fell pregnant a couple of months later. So now they are wanting to continue with the "investigation" because the irregular bleeding and periods and cramping have returned after i've had Briley. I had to wait ages for the appointment with the gynae then i had to wait another couple of months for an appointment for the operation. The health system is Townsville is shocking. The hospital was only built in 2000 and they are already knocking back and sending patients to other hospitals cause they don't have enough beds. I was told to leave 2 days after having Briley cause they needed my bed.
Well today i am continuing with my chores around the house. I got all the ironing i wanted done yesterday and managed to empty some of the boxes. I am finishing the washing and am wanting to bake some brownies and cookes cause i have been putting it off for ages and because i can't bloody find the recipe for the cookies!! I can't remember which box i put them in!!
I will be back on later. Everyone is obviously very busy today.
Talk later
Ciao
Hey Girls,
Angelique: Great to hear Katerina is sleeping longer for you, its been a long road but your getting there! Well done.
Vic: Jayden will sometimes sleep longer on his belly, during the day I am comfortable leaving him on his belly but at night, not to sure yet haha although he does lift and move his head very well. All your babies are beautiful Vic, you must be one proud mama!! Adam's a big boy compared to Jayden but he's not HUGE, love the Incredibles outfit!! Now Jayden is more into a routine I will feel more comfortable leaving him with DP.....Maybe DP hasn't taken to fatherhood because I haven't really given him the chance??? I think I might be a baby hog LOL I hope Dylan is feeling better after his needles and good luck to Mel and Adam for theirs.
Sheree: I won't look at yours if you won't look at mine LOL. Go lachie!!! Sounds like you made the right decision changing to FF, YAY for the 8 hour sleep and the daytime sleeps, hope he keeps it up for you. I saw 'Manchester' in one pic and assumed it was Manchester United LOL, in week 15 pic 27/31 he looks like he's wearing black pants. Poor Wade losing soccer!!
Sara: You've done well to get settled in so quickly! Has a ranger been rond to pick up the possum? Get pics of it LOL Briley...you are a very clever little girl!! Come teach Jayden to do things LOL All he has done is rolled from his back to his side and not interested in doing anything else. OMG at your appt, can you go anywhere else? Prob not hey, it would be like in Bundaberg, there are only so many specialists.
Kim: LOL no more mail for me, although DP got a mystery package the other day, it was a Brisbane Lions lunch cooler bag and we have no idea where it came from, I didn't get it for him and no one we have asked knows anything about it! LOL I hope your arm is feeling better now.....and poor Darcy have a reaction, I hope she is doing much better today too!!
Anyway I started this in the morning and its now afternoon....LOL I better go. We have Dr's appt for me today and Jayden's weigh in Oh and food shopping seen as DP left this morning after finishing off the bread and milk and took the left overs that I was going to have for lunch!!
Have a great day
oxoxox
Well girls it looks as though I can avoid Ebay for a bit longer. I have 2 massive bags of gorgeous clothes here for Em from a friend. We are having a fashion parade I think! Had a great time at kinder gym today though Em got tired and crashed right at the end and missed his favourite part – song time!! Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA I had my cousins funeral yesterday and things here have been a little haywire. Will attempt personals but I have a headache so I apologise in advance to those that I miss or forget LOL.
Tania ~ Damn about going back to work! Did you go to the parade? GL with the egg donation decision. Poor Jayden must have been stuffed that day! It sounds as though it was a long one! Leave Jaydne with DP – I think it will work a treat! MSN has been playing up the last few days I think. Em sleeps on his stomach now as well – he has excellent head control and can roll now – I did what Vic did and started off during the day and then once I was comfortable went to nights as well.
Kim ~ Grrrr @ the bad weather! I didn’t know that you shouldn’t give a bottle whilst moving – poor Em lol. Ouchie @ the injection day! I have to book Em in for his shots next week!!
Sheree ~ Lunch on the beach sounds divine! I got your SMS too – I just didn’t have time to reply with the way things have been these past few days. I was so glad to hear you got a full nights sleep out of Lachie!! Yay! And a bigger yay for him passing the 5 kg mark!!!
Shazz ~ I hope you’re feeling better hun! LMAO @ DH’s world crumbling!! Men are hopeless when they’re sick aren’t they?
Mummy4Life ~ Em didn’t get it too badly and got over it fairly quickly. Glad to hear that Phoebe is going well.
Vic ~ Your little boy is just gorgeous and so are your other children as well! And I’m in love with Odie!!!
Sara ~ YAY for being moved and settled.Wow at Briley sitting up!! That’s amazing for her age! I love babies chuckles – they are just gorgeous aren’t they?
Ange ~ Great to hear that Tresillian worked well for you. Em is the same with his day sleeps. He needs the dummy during the day and cuddles to sleep most of the time but night time he is out like a light without the dummy.
I'm going to see the Boy from Oz tomorrow! I'm going to see Hugh Jackman!!! Yaaaaayyy!!!!:happyforyou: Only trouble is, I have to leave Darcy for a long time instead of just an hour......bit stressed about that. I know she'll be fine, it's my mum I'm worried about. Gonna take her over there for the day so she can have a couple of sleeps in their cot before I have to go - and to have someone look after her so I can blowdry my hair....
Sara so after you asking abou who is having another one - does that mean you have to hold off until after this procedure again? That's a shame they have to put you out like that.
Tania - I love unexplained mail!!!
Shazz - how's Nick?
Hello Everyone,
Kim: How exciting for you!! Is this your first night out in a long time? I love Hugh Jackman as well. Please tell me all about it when you get back!
Shaz: Hope all is well with you.
Nat: Hope you are feeling better
And to everyone else have a wonderful day.
I wrote a huge post last night and the dog came along and pulled out the power cord for the laptop and I lost everything!!! We'll see if I can remember everything....
Vic:That is a great idea, I'll give it a go when DP get days off, he's doing 12hr nights this weekend :(. DP is getting better, he now picks Jayden up without asking me first (LOL) and he get him out of the cot after his sleep etc...No nappy changing or bathing yet, but that will come I'm sure. Confidence is def what he needs.
Nat: How are you girl?? I hope the funeral went ok (as good as those things can be). Wow @ Em's new clothes, take lots of pics and send me some hehe. Poor Em missing out on song time!!Great he had a good time anyway. I hope your headache is better today. I did go to the parade, but we went late and I missed out on the freebies LOL the best thing they gave was a disposable camera but it was 12mths out of date anyway LOL cheapskates!! Oh and a Bunnings tennis ball hehe. I ended up putting Jayden on his belly early this morning to get a few more hours sleep out of him, and it worked!! We have had 2 terrible nights, the first night waking at midnight, 2am, 3am, 5am, 7.30am then in bed with me til 9am and this morning was similar, so obviously I was wrecked yesterday!
Kim: Darcy will be fine, I hope you have a great time tonight and don't forget to tell us all about it!!
I went to the Dr's yesterday to get more Domperidone, my regular Dr couldn't get me in for 2 weeks!! So I went to their other practice and the Dr didn't want to prescribe it for me as increase in milk supply is a side effect of the drug and he reckons they don't know what it does to the baby (as a small amount goes through the BM) I said I have spoke to the lactation consultant and looked it up on the internet and there has been no reported cases of it being harmful to either mum or bub and I wouldn't be taking it if there was...he kinda made me feel like a drug addict!!
Jayden's appt went well, he has gained 140g in 2 weeks and the CHN said he looks bright eyed and bushy tailed so there is nothing to worry about (we are still monitoring it though) He now weighs 5.14kgs, Length 60.5cm and HC 40.5, just a little bubba, but thats the way I like it LOL.
With the couple of bad nights he's had and also been very sooky during the day, I think he is coming down with his 1st cold, he's also been vomiting a bit the last 2 days. I'm going to give him some panadol and see how he goes...poor bub he is so miserable.
Anyway I better go before thos naughty dogs of mine pull the plug again haha
Have a great day everyone
oxoxoxox
Ang, I'm so glad to see you on here a bit more often!! I will certainly let you know!
Tanya - grr to those doggies! Poor little mite you've got there. Sounds like he's caught something...
Just a quick post to let you know I am still around.
Last couple of weeks have been busy.
My brother got married last weekend, just immed. family (15 of us total) in mum and dad's back garden so was busy busy busy. All went well. It rained and was freezing cold but you can't plan the weather. Kaitlyn wore her jeans and a jumper instead of the pretty little summer dress I bought for her, but I think she was the warmest one there. She stayed at my cousins for a few hours and entertained them and did not have a sleep in the 8 hrs she was there. Needless to say when she got home she was so tired she fell asleep taking her night bottle and slept 12 1/2 hours. :)
The Zantac has been working a treat. She's used to the taste and I think she's put two and two together and knows when she has it a feed is not far behind. The only downfall is her no 2's. They are more frequent and can only be described as explosive and in need of air freshner. Yuk. But, I'd rather that than a 'crying baby'.
My meds have kicked in for my PND and I am starting to enjoy being a mum at last. I've told my DH that I don't want to go back to work. He's applied for a few positions and has an interview next week so pls keep finger toes and whatever else crossed for us. It would mean a company car which would save heaps with the current cost of fuel.
Anyway, gotta run Katy's up and of course hungry so better attend to our 'little sunshine'.
Sorry for the lack of personals, I have read them all, so much to catch up on.... Alot's been going on eh?
Kim, enjoy your night tomorrow and say Hello to Hugh for me and give him a big hug LOL. Darcy will enjoy sleeping over at nanna's!!
Finally, happy 4 month birthday to Darcy and Phoebe for last Saturday .... where does the time go?
Morning Girls,
Well, today I am having a spring clean - declutter day. I have really let the bedrooms go and got to the stage that I needed to get my *ss into gear. It's just too easy just to shut the bedroom doors, when visitors come around. Maybe I need to remove the doors so I HAVE to keep them clean and tidy....LOL. I have a heap of clothes and bit and pieces to donate, decided to keep the really good baby clothes and things for a friend who is deciding on TTC #3...some of the clothes are in really good condition and sooo adorable, but I know that I can't hang on to it forever, so would much rather pass it on to a friend then donating it.
Well I better get back to it, I will be back later to do some personals.
Sprig cleaning.....declutter....probably should do that too....naaaah.
Well we weighed in at 6.45kg today. Much better than last fortnight. Guess my milks not drying up like I thought...
Glad DH got an interview Leanne - here's hoping....
Scrappy ~ 6.45kg wow that's great....I wouldn't have a clue how much Phoebe weighs. Going to have her immunisation done on Tuesday so I will find out then. I thought my milk supply was dwindling/drying up a little as well. Phoebe has been having a few days of fussy feeding and rejecting a little as well. This affected my supply....I honestly thought that if she continued on with that, I was going to have to put her on formula, but now she is fine again. Such a silly little sausage.
Well I must admit that I was very eager and motivated this morning with the cleaning thing, but I have got a little slack as the day has worn on. I just got back from going up to collect the mail and take Samuel to the playground and on the way back he was getting tired and wanted me to carry him (yeah right whilst pushing the pram, I don't think so) and he cracked the poos, so I have put him in his room to finish his tantrum. Hopefully he will get into bed and have a sleep.
I think I should at least finish something today, otherwise I'll feel like I haven't achieved anything. DH has an RDO tomorrow, so I probably won't get much done with him around.
BBL
Mummy - I hate Cam's days off. I'm sure he thinks I sit in front of the tele all day. If I hear "Just come and sit with me..." one more time! I'm sure he thinks the maid comes in when he's at work....grr
Well, I thought Darcy didn't like to be wrapped....how wrong I was. She slept great this morning. Had to wake her to get her weighed in time. But this arvie it's a bit hot so I didn't wrap her when I put her down...mistake. She had a party in the cot! Laughing and talking to the light and the mobile. Would not go to sleep. So we did the groceries instead. On the way home she fell asleep  Didn't wake with the rustling or the boot slamming (we have a hatch so it's open). I tried to put her down upwrapped again and the party started. :dunno: So I've wrapped the top half. And straight away she's gone to sleep....guess I'll get lots a use out of my wraps after all.....
OK so I need to get a life.
We have a new trick!!! She can blow raspberries properly!!! Very funny.
Sorry gals, gotta get tea organised, so just quickly.
I started Lachie on Farex on Tuesday after the CHN said that it wouldn't hurt to see if we can beef him up and keep some of those fluids down. He is not so sure about it all but opens his mouth everytime so I am thinking that is a good thing. Still not sure how to swallow properly but each and everytime is getting better. I am giving him a teaspoon morning and night. I am not going to start him on anything else until at least 5 mths, so we will keep going with this for 1 mth to start with. I really don't feel that Lachie is hungry for it, but it is worth a try.
And that sleeping thing was a one off, the 8 hours and the good sleeps during the day, but in saying that he is sleeping but just back to cat naps. Its funny since he is a bit older, he is realising that this sleep thing aint too bad! Its even more funny that this morning I asked Wade to hang out the washing and he forgot so I had to quickly do it before Lachie and I went to town, Lachie was showing tired signs so I thought, I will just put you in your cot while I hang out the washing, I was gone 5 mins and came back and he was sound asleep, only for 1/2 hour, but I was so pleased that he actually put himself to sleep for a change, a very nice change.
Kim - I have started wrapping Lachie again, as he wakes up rubs his face profusely, knocks the dummy out and the sleeping is all over. Have found this is working for us again, I stopped ages ago as it started to get too hot, I am wrapping him in a really really thin wrap. Hope you have a good night out too honey!
Tania - I bought lachie these swimmer pants from K-mart today and a floatie thing for him to sit in so I am all set if you want to go to the pool with the boys, maybe we should ring that center and make sure we can! Didn't catch up with you in town today, I had too much to do sorry. Well Jayden is only a smidgen bigger then Lachie then, he is 5.11kgs, but he is longer then Jayden, now measuring at 62cm, he grew 3cm in 2 weeks, that didn't really show with the weight gain, funny that hey? I think off memory his head is measuring at 42cm. It will be interesting to put the boys up against each other.
Who else who else, sorry for the lack of personals, ummmmm, ohhhh my head is not with it, these big trips to town for the day, make my head thump! Driving home 50kms in the sun probably doesn't help!
Hello everyone!!
Well we have been to the dr's today as Briley had a bit of a cough for the last couple of weeks and it has just started to get worse so i took her to the Dr's. The dr examined her and listened to her chest and said she has stuff on her chest and now she is on anti-biotics. Poor little bugger has been fairly miserable the last couple of days and now has a bit of a fever. I have given her some panadol and now she is sleeping in near the heater. I also got the nurse to weigh and measure her. She is now 5.9kg and 61cm long and HC of 41cm. She is growing beautifully.
I think i am getting my p's cause i am biting everyones head of at the drop of a hat. Today i met my mum and her friend at spotlight. After that i needed to take Briley to the dr's and was going to meet them for lunch. Well, mum was trying to call me in the Dr's but the phone kept cutting out so i rang her when i got out. She told me that they were already eating lunch!!! I was pretty p****ed to say the least. She could'nt understand what the problem was and called me cranky!! MUMS...you gotta love em!!
Kim - Yeah i know....i will have to wait now. I think it prolly the best thing anyways. Until Briley get a bit older. And with me starting uni next feb i think i will be busy enough. So...you never mentioned how the concert went???? Is Hugh Jackman as "HOT" in real life. I've never been to a show like that. I have been to a Keith Urban concert though and he was HOT HOT HOT!!! Nicole is one lucky mumma!!!LOL
Marlea - Great to hear things are looking up for you. I am really enjoying motherhood myself now. I really appreciate the time that i have with her. Hope all goes well. Good luck!!
Ohhh well...better go and help Brent cook tea. He does'nt know how to cook stove top gravy so i have to do it.
Talk to you all tomorrow
Ciao
Ohhh hope Briley gets better Sara. Your little girl aint too big is she, but still bigger the my little boy! Its funny how their measurements are more and the weight is less, shows how scrawny my little boy is. His HC is 42cm and length is 62cm.
Ohhhh and I forgot to mention I just got AF too! Gosh I forgot how bloody painful it is, my legs have been aching, I have felt sooo sick, feel like I have been getting a cold too, AF always runs me down! Atleast I know those other blood occassions were only spotting due the mini pill and this is my very first AF, cause I didn't experience any pain with those other episodes. Gosh I have felt like CRAP!!!!!!!!!!
Leanne: Great to hear the meds are working!! Congrats to your brother and new SIL, and good luck to your DH
Vic: I dressed Jayden up as Tigger to my niece's bday in july....I have a winnie the pooh outfit too so I need to go to one more fancy dress party while he still fits into 000 LOL. I don't watch rockstar, but I have seen it once, LOL @ Adam singing away.
Mummy: Good luck with Phoebe's needles, ours are coming up on the 21st. I hope it didn't take too long for Samuel to get over his tantrum hehe.
Kim: Little Miss Darcy keeping her mummy on her toes!!Speaking of men thinking we sit in front of the TV, I was saying how much sleep DP gets a night compared to me and he said its broken sleep so he's still tired...I said BROKEN SLEEP...YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT BROKEN SLEEP!!!After I have spent the past 2 nights up nearly every hour! He said it doesn't count because I don't have to go to work LOLwhat a joke, at least he gets a weekend!! LOL @ Darcy doing raspberries!!
Sheree: What time were you at Kmart? I was meant to go up there to meet MIL as it was her bday but because Jayden wasn't well and asleep I didn't go...how weird would it be if we just ran into each other LOL. Jayden has a little swim nappy too its so cute. We can go to the pools but just can't get lessons, there is a pool in Princess St too which is apparently heated....I don't know any public pool in Bundy so you might have a better idea than me LOL. I can't wait to put them together too it will be so funny. Poor you getting AF's!! I haven't had mine for over a year now "touch wood" YAY!!
Sara: Briley sick too!! Oh poor girl, I hope she gets better soon and you too getting AF!
We went to MIL's for her bday this arve and as soon as I walked in the door nephew #2 yells " I've got him first"! I said (loud enough for everyone to hear) No one is having him today because he is sick and sooking.....I no sooner finished my sentance and SIL #1 had her arms out to take him....anyway after me saying no again she said "come on he won't mind" She got him but OMG why can't they just listen to what I say and respect my decision....Its the first time in 3mths 2wks 5days that I have specifically said no and they don't care!! Anyway in the 2 hours we were there 6 ppl had him!!
Anyway Jayden has been in bed since 8pm and has woken 3 times already...I think we are going to have another night like the last two nights. So I'm off to bed myself try and get a bit more sleep....Oh I put Jayden to sleep on his belly tonight so hopefully it works and he sleeps longer.
Night everyone
oxoxoxox
Why doesn't he want to sleep!!! I got to sleep about 10pm, I have been up to him at least 8-10 times, fed and changed him and now he is wide awake playing under his gym!! You girls who have or had babies that didn't sleep OMG.....I understand now!!
Hope everyone else is snug in bed right night
oxoxoxox
I bet after he put on that weight he's having a resting phase Tania and his little body doesn't know what to do with all that extra energy. I find that with Darcy. She sleeps really well on the weeks she puts on heaps. But not on the other weeks. We have that work arguement a it as well - he forgets that I did and will do again the same job as him only longer hours (he does 9.5hr shifts and no real nights and I do 12hrs and 6.30pm-7am). This current job I have is WAY harder and more draining - and the hours suck!! At least as a cop I have OC spray, a baton, handcuffs and firearm to deal with someone doing the wrong thing and there are rules and policies - this baby didn't come with an off swich or a handbook....
Speaking of this baby. I finally got to sleep at 4.50am, and Cam has to get up and be noisy and wake Darcy at 5.15am! He thinks he's being quiet....my a$$! I tired to put her back to sleep a few times, but the more you have to get up the more awake you are, so I brought her into bed with me. I was so cranky and trying to shut my eyes, but then there was this little face peering across the pillow at me smiling...she wiggled herself over and put her hand in my mouth. How can you be cranky with that??
Sara its tonight. But very excited!!! Any time you want to see a show if you're in Sydney - I'm your girl!! I love em. I have loved Hugh since Corelli so can't wait to see him. Poor Briley, hope she's well soon.
Sheree Darcy does the eye rub thng as well. As long as her hands are secured she sleeps. I'm going to try and fashion a sheet so I can get it to stay tucked in tight - might sew it like a sleeping bag to fit over the en of the matress and have buttons or elastic secure it or something. It's getting too hot to have the balnkets that hold her in, and the sheet just comes undone with a couple of kicks.
Have a good weekend everyone else.
Once again, at work. Moved my desk around yesterday to make room for another filing cabinet seeing as though I have that much work to do these days, so now no one can see what I am doing so thought I would post quickly before getting back into it.
Jovi's hip scans don't cost us anymore since the hospital reopened it's u/s section (it had been closed for some reason), so medicare picks up the tab thank god. The first one cost us cos of the hospital being shut.
I don't think Jovi has any pain with her hips. She's really strong in her legs and constantly wants to stand up or push herself away from you when you're changing her nappy.
The sonographer at the first u/s did tell us it was only a slight displacement that should correct itself over time. So no we're not double nappying her, but she does wear cloth at home usually which would help.
She's over 6kg now which is awesome. Such a heavy little bugger these days, esp. when she won't go to sleep even if she's exhausted and you have to rock her.
Jovi has also been fussing over her bottle lately. I usually get her to drink at least 90mL though (half bottle) and will sometimes give her a bit of food as well just to make sure. Half the time we get her to drink her whole bottle by stripping her off ... she loves to be naked just a little too much. If she had her way, I think she'd like to be naked all the time. Little turd!
Scott is on a waiting list to have his back operated on. He has a bulging disc which just isn't getting any better and as he is sick of the pain and looks after Jovi his doctor agreed to surgery and has put him on the urgent list. Thankfully medicare is going to cover the costs otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford it at all. He'll be laid up for a while and we were told it will take about 6 weeks for full recovery. Luckily I have enough leave up to take it off when we get the call, but I think I will take 4 weeks off and his mum will come over for a couple to help out which will be good.
Work is going ok. Have HEAPS and HEAPS on, but will eventually get through it. Will spend the next month scanning all my applications I think (600+!!) ... how exciting! lol
Jovi's naming day is fast approaching ... so not organised!
Anyway ... that's about it ... will one of these days catch up properly with everyone.
Hey guys sorry I've been a bit MIA lately. Rushed off my feet.
Just quickly - I often had Em under the playgym at all hours of the night. He's a stubborn little fellow and if he's not tired then he wants to play! I find it easier to let him play until his tired and then try and get him to sleep. I've tried doing exactly what you said Vic and the little buggar hates to be ignored. Just last night I put him back in his cot wide awake and he played for a little but then cried for attention. I actually have a feeling his gums are hurting him so I'm off to the shops to get bonjella!
Will BBL to do personals!
