Dan - oh sweetie. I'd be upset too if my DH changed Izzy's routine. You may be back at work but you're still the one who looks after Livvy, not to mention losing a lovely feed session with your princess.
Danni - so sorry to hear Mason's sleeping was a one off and that he's now not well. You're really not having a good run are you. I hope it clears up quickly.
Kristen - that is really awesome. Well done. You must be doing a great job to be booked up so far in advance. Damn I wish I was in Melbourne! The MCNs are great - really thrilled with the green kids cos they're so gorgeous, um, absorbent!! Poor little Mia must be so frustrated at a lack of movement. I'm sure it will click for her in no time though and then there will be no turning back. You then end up with the situation where baby is no longer frustrated because they're into everything, but mummy is sooooo frustrated because baby is into everything!! Amazing how quickly the gloss wears off when you're dragging them away from the tv/dvd player for the 50th time in 10 minutes!
Ash - how did your picnic with A go? I have no idea how you have the energy to see all these new guys. Not only is there the actual date, but all the trouble you have to go to to get ready. Poor DH hasn't seen me out of tracky dacks, pony tail and no make up for so long its not funny! Good for you. I hope you're having great fun.
Ok. Here it is. "My name is Lulu and I'm an IDIOT"!!! I tried the WC nappy but of course being the total idiot I am, I didn't even think about the fact that I needed a cover!! So, needless to say I ended up with a wet baby, wet cot, wet everything. Idiot idiot idiot!! So, I'm going to try again using my berry plush as a cover (the only one I've got) and hopefully that will be a little more successful.
I finally found the Raffertys too - hiding on the very bottom shelf in Coles. Tried Iz with the porridge this morning and she loved it so thank you thank you thank you girls.
Had a crap night with Iz last night. She screamed until 11.30 pm, then was awake at 6.45 am grumpy as hell and has been demanding and grumpy all day. I think she's just really overtired but she won't give in and just have a good sleep. Last night there were definitely times I wished I was a controlled crying convert!!
-
Danni - can't really go much cheaper hon!! LOL I'm already working for less than $10/hr and need to make a living... ;) I will have specials from time to time though (like now) Hope Mason feels better soon!!
Lulu - agree! Love my GKs! :) hahahahaaa on the WC poor thing... Sorry to hear about the bad night though! Hope it's better tonight.
-
A big :hello: to everyone - very quick one here, we are about to go out for a bbq, have been reading up though and will do personals soon!!
Izzy is crusing furniture now and is 8 mths today!! OMG I just cant believe it and she looks so tiny standing up and trying to walk (sturmble) while holding onto the couch or coffee table! I introduced cruskits today too - she loves them!
Anyway have a grand Saturday night - Kristen, I need to email you about a booking, I have definates from MG, and there will be more than 4 of us though so will need to book in 2 groups I think! ONe of the girls has twins too so not sure how that works ;) Will try to email you tomorrow!
-
Back for personals!!
Kristen - emailing you once this is done! I hope Miss Mia is behaving for you! It is interesting how they all develop so differently, Izzy wont talk 'words" at all, if we say 'say dadadada or mamamama" she looks at us and either shrieks in her nice earsplitting way, or screws up her nose to blow air in and out really fast! :cryinglaugh: Be warned, she started off pushing herself backwards everywhere and it didnt take long for her to learn how to go forwards!
Lulu- Yay for the cereal! I add half a peach or nectarine or whatever other fruit I have here and she scoffs it down! I hope you got a better rest yesterday and last night with Izzy. They are so cheeky aren't they. Our nights here are still touch and go, some nights are better than others. I dont use MCN but I did have a little giggle about your new nappy! That sounds like something I would do but would spend days cursing the damn thing!
Danni - you are having a rough patch arent you hun, is Mason ok? I hope you were able to drop his fever down and he was ok. Im not sure what to say about the nights because I know you would have trialled everything like us and even now sometimes our sleep school methods dont work :( This too shall pass is what I keep telling myself.
Sarah - I love your new name! Its great! How is Noah going!?? Have you had any more luck with getting into a routine with solids? I hope his foot is ok too hun.
Jen - welcome back hun!
Dan - Yay for Livvy!! What a clever chooky! I got a heart attack the first time I went in and got her from a nap and she was standing there chewing on the rail!! :) I love this age! Its just adorable! Glad you have gotten into a bit of routine with work hun, but that sucks that the night routine has changed. Could you still do the night feed when you are there hun??? I know what you mean about that feed, I think it will be the hardest one for us to drop when the time comes.
Shell - how did you go at work last night?? Did you get some nice pressies for your DD?? Ive got a week and a bit left before I go back and Im starting to really freak out now about her, expressing, what if she weans etc... so much to stress about. Anyway I hope you are all well, are the girls and Angus all recovered now?? Im worried to give Iz formula even though we know she will take it in case she likes it better!- are you going to express while you are at work??
Ash - have the last few days been a bit better with Blake? I hope you have been able to get some rest hun. Go you and dating!!!! If something happened with DH and I, I would have NO idea where to begin, we have been together for 10 years - I have no idea how to try and impress/flirt with anyone but him!! :cryinglaugh:
Lis - Yay for the shoes, I have the problem of finding clothes in my cupboard that I think oooooh I might wear that but my boobies are too big and nothing fits anymore. :( Maybe I should find some shoes in there too - at least I know they will still fit! When do you go back to work?
Lee - how are you going? How was work hun? When did you go back (sorry having trouble keeping up!)
Kass - Hope you and Bella are going well and you have sorted something out with her teething. Its so hard to see them in pain and miserable isnt it.
Gosh I cant go back much further so a big shout out to everyone I have missed!!
We got our car back - whoohoo! Now one whole side looks like a brand new car and the other doesnt!! At least Im mobile again!
OMG I just had Iz standing next to me holding onto the couch and trying to get to the laptop and thought Id better copy what Ive done JIK - 2 secs after I did she hit soemthing and I would lost the lot!
Well it hasnt stopped raining here since last night which is great so I think it means we might have to go shopping today!. We desperately need a new fridge/freezer - might con Al into going to Harvery Norman. We keep putting it off but I just found Iz near it in a puddle of water that came from F knows where and Im over it. Must be done!
Have a great Sunday ladies and apologies for the mammoth post!

HI everyone!
Just wanted to say hi, but will come back later for personals when I am more with it!! Well, I survived work last night, but I am soo exhausted today. I left for work at 6.20pm last night and got home at 8.15 this morning!!! (12 hr shift 7pm-7.30am) Was quite busy and I only sat down to express twice for 5 minutes each time!! Was crazy!! Had an hours sleep with Angus this morning and about to go back to bed with hime now! The thing that I can't believe is that my naughty boy who gets up 10 times a night for me, got up ONCE for DH!!! Can you believe it!!! He had a bottle around 8, slept till 3, had another bottle, then got up at 7.30am. Little monkey!! Anyway, make sure you give those babies extra hugs today, was very sad as we had a baby pass last night, and another that wasn't expected to make it through the day. Not prems either, both term babies, so very very sad. Anyway, must sleep, bbl for a loooonger chat!!
-
Geezzzz women u can talk, i just got back from a birthday away trip 4 clint so im buggered and have a lot 2 unpack etc so ill bbl and do personals. Bella is starting 2 settle i got some natual medication 4 her starting with B, sorry cant remember the name, i can hardly keep my eye's open. Im giving her that so im getting a lil relief, it seems easier 2 put her 2 sleep when she's in her pram and then transfer her 2 her cot at the moment. Also just brought some bonjella so ill c how that pans out. Ok best not fall asleep on the keyboard bbl!
-
Michelle - ooooooh I'm in tears now. Poor little bubbies and their poor mummies. How on earth you would cope with that is beyond me. You must have come home and wanted to grab Angus in the biggest hug. My little princess isn't here now or else she'd be wondering why her mummy was squeezing her so tight.
Tan - yay for getting your car back. Hope you got a new fridge. Stray puddles of water with very mobile little people is definitely not a good thing.
Kristen - just from your post it sounds like your prices are ridiculously cheap. I'm still trying to talk DH into a short holiday (although rapidly giving up all hope!) so if I manage to talk him into it, and swing a trip to Melbourne I'll definitely book you. I have a bad feeling I'm going to have to promise him a whole heap of sexual favours though!!!
Kass - I usually find the Bonjella to be a godsend - seems to settle Izzy really quickly and give her a few hours of undisturbed sleep so hopefully it works for Bella.
Well, we had a slightly better night last night, although it was still really late before she went to bed but at least it was without screaming. She's constantly on the move now - I can't believe how quickly she can crawl, and she is pulling herself up on absolutely everything. She'll reach out for things like the stereo and just before she touches it turns around to look at me with this cute smile. Little minx knows she's not supposed to touch but is already testing boundaries. Definitely going to have to lock her in the cupboard under the stairs before she hits teenage years! Oh well, off to try to do some work now while DH and Iz are off visiting.
-
Aaarrrggghhh I just lost my post.........:wall:
Don't have time to rewrite so will just say a big 'hello' and hope all the bubs are behaving. It's my first day at work tomorrow so wish me luck! I'm a bit scared as its a new job so will be new people obviously and a bit of a change in direction from my previous position. Gotta go get all of Elena's things ready and then think I will have an early night.........nighty night :)
-
Good luck tomorrow Lis, hope it all goes swimmingly!
Not much to report babywise obviously, as Blakey came home at 5pm, went to the shop to get him some food, the it was dinner time, bath, play, bottle and bed!!! I can tell you he came home COVERED in mozzie bites and I am so fooking p!ssed off, words cannot describe it. Aeroguard people! Scott took him to his parents house all weekend out in the sticks, yeh maybe he doesn't have the sense to put it on Blake but you'd think they would - HA!
Sorry rant over, just *****s me to tears.
And the date went well but he was not my type...the conversation flowed but the chemistry just wasn't there. Ah well, hopefully I've made a new friend :)

HAPPY 9 MONTHS FLAKEY XOXOXOXOXOXO

Kenzie and I are going through a bit of a rough patch in the sleep department. She just won't sleep unless she is snuggled up against me! Everyone is telling me "I have made a rod for my own back", because we have co-slept since birth .. but now she wont have any sleep during the day unless I sleep too! So I am trying hard to make the transition to the cot, her nursery is set up beautifully and I have the soft music playing. However as soon as we go in the room and I bend over to put her in the cot she SCREAMS ... untill I pick her up again. I think its time for some tough love. I might read her stories in the cot and try to do some fun things in there to make it seem less stressful ?? I'm not sure what to do!
Other than the sleep issue Mackenzie is growing fast and changing on a daily basis. I'm feeling a bit guilty that I havent taken as many photos and video as I would have liked.
I am buying the heinz food jars for food ( I promised myself only fresh for my baby :( ) but when your moving states .. I just kinda did what was convienient so I am going to have to get my butt in gear and get a whizz stick to puree my own food.
This year I have made a promise to myself ... I am going to lose 40 kilos because I am getting married at the end of the year (finally) and there is no way I want to be a fat bride. SO! This year I am not working, not studying .. just focusing on diet .. exercise and looking after my family. I really feel like I'm, failing at being a SAHM, its all I have wanted to do for 10 years and my house is just a pig mess.. I just can't seem to get it together I think its time for ebay and I to get reaquainted and have a huge declutter.
Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Year and 2008 be a fantastic year for all of us!
Ashlee :: I would be extrememly annoyed that Blake had bites all over him :( Maybe next time pack a bottle of spray in his bag? Happy 9 Months B'day for Blake!! :confetti:
Sangie :: I hate that when you write a big post and then lose it .. happens to me all the time :( Good luck at work .. it would be all over by now .. hoping you had a good day!
LuluHB :: Hows the preganacy going ?? Hoping all is well with the little bub!. Kenzie also turns around and gives me a little smile aswell before pulling all the dvds out of the rack .. it seems like they so know what they are doing don;t they .. little monkeys!
kass_20 :: I loveee the name Annabelle! I wanted to call Kenzie Annabella, but DH wouldnt let me .. ! Mackenize is the only name we could agree on! Bella / belle is so pretty! Nice to meet you.
Shellbelle :: I couldn't imagine doing your job.. must be extremely reawrding but I think I would lose it if a baby didn't make it, I really admire people like yourself who do such a wonderful job! (Sounds like your a midwife correct me if i am wrong)
Tanstar :: Woohoo for getting the car fixed! Someone ran up my rear the day before we left to drive interstate ..*not happy* but now I dont want to get it fixed because I cant do without a car. I think Harvey Norman might have 25 months interest free at the moment, we just bough a new huge plasma TV!
Mabello :: Hope Mason is feeling better, poor lil darlin.
Kristen :: I absolutly LOVE your website. You really are talented at doing what you do. You business I am certain will be a huge success. You inspired me to *try* to be 'arty' over the Christmas break up in QLD and I have put 2 of the photos in my gallery. I like em .. but they are nothing on your pictures. Definatly will make a booking, only thing is Kenzie has a little excema on her face so I want that to clear up first. What sort of camera have you got?
Little Miss Sunshine :: I'll have to check out Chadstone, hopefully when the kids go back to school it wont be as crowded.
Nurse Dan :: Yay for Livvy pulling herself up! They grow so quickly though :( I was unpacking my photos and *had* to spend 3 hours looking at them all ... no wonder I get nothing done during the day! I would have been upset if my DH hadnt consulted me either about dropping a feed :( How often do you work in a week?
Hello to anyone I have missed .. will try to keep up with the thread but sometimes its so hard to find the time.
:heartbeat:
Jen

sorry guys i've not been able 2 access bellybelly so ill come back 2nite and do all the personals and everything i've missed! sorry ladies i no u missed me! Ans welcome 2 the new comers!
-
Ash - sorry the date wasn't all thunderbolts and shooting stars. Still, its nice to have male friends and good ones can often be harder to find than a partner! And happy 9 month birthday to Blake for yesterday! Big poo for DH's lack of thought.
Jen - I make most of Izzy's food but occasionally for convenience will give her a jar of something. I said to DH the other day I don't know why I bother making anything because she seems to love the jar stuff more! I think so long as you buy the "good" ones, they're just as good for Kenzie anyway so don't beat yourself up about it. As for the sleeping issues, Iz went through a stage where I couldn't get her down to sleep during the day unless she was already asleep - something you could maybe try with Kenzie? Cuddle her to sleep and then put her down in her cot. As for everyone giving you a hard time about co-sleeping, tell them all to sod off. If that's what you, your partner and Kenzie are happy with then good for you. I get a little tired of people telling me I'm making it harder for myself because I do this or that. I read the other day that I shouldn't be comforting Iz when she wakes in pain during the night with teething becuase she will learn that when she cries I'll come. Hmmmm. Terrible thing for my daughter to think isn't it - she's distressed, her mummy comes. Bad mother I am!!! Good luck with the weight loss. I got married a couple of years ago and lost 15kgs for it. I now have wedding photos that I have to say, I think I look pretty damn gorgeous in :p
Lis - how did the first day of the new job go? I hope they were all nice to the new girl!!
BEST NEWS EVER - my folks live about 150kms away, which is really hard sometimes, especially with Ned coming along too. Anyway, Mum said they're going to move back to Perth in the next 12 months or so (got issues with my grandmother which is why 12 months away not now) Sooooo excited to have my mummy close by again. She's been staying with us for the last couple of days and its so nice to know the back up is there if I need it.
-
Hi girls!
Hope all bubbas have been well behaved!
Well I survived my first two days at work. There were a few tears from me of course lol but Elena was very well behaved for her grandma's and they both can't wait to have her again. So I think it has been a success. Oh and next week I only have to work on Tuesday as Monday is Australia holiday, woo hoo!
Well I'm exhausted so I'm going to bed, will be back tomorrow to catch up properly.
-
Hi ladies - a quick one from me too here.
I "officially" go back to work on Tuesday but am pretty much back as of now. :( I went in for about 5 hours yesterday and left Izzy with Al for the first time for more than 2 hours. She was fine and so was he but I cannot describe how much I realise Ive missed her when I walk in that door and have that first cuddle. Its incredible. While Im there I dont really have time to miss her if that makes sense! Well I do think about her but its not like I sit htere and stew- there is just too uch to do! Anyway Im back in again today so my gorgeous sister is coming here to look after the monkey for me. Ive been working on here all last night and this morning too -ugh I hate the beginning of term!
Hope you are all doing well - I am reading!
Lis - Im glad work went well, and hooray for Public Holidays!!!
-
Not sure if you melb girls have seen my meet up thread, but here it is, I need ideas on where to go too, its getting a bit late to iron out details now though eek!!! Here it is https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums....php?p=1118712
Am reading when I get the chance, I think Noah is teething finally which is why I can only get a minute of time to myself once in a while
Hope everyone is well!!!
-
Ok what do we all think of my AV??? Hhhmmm think I look pretty good if I do say so myself! :)
OMG I had the worst ordeal yesterday and thought I should share as a warning to you all!
I locked myself out of my house and Elena was inside
So of course I did what any woman would do and I bawled my eyes out. So I'd gone out to bring in the washing and the laundry door slammed shut in a gust of wind and somehow locked itself??? It has a button on the back of the door handle which you push to lock it but I am positive that I didn't push it so I have no idea how it locked. Anyhow I had just put Elena down for her sleep so luckily she was ok for the moment and I jumped the side fence and went round to the front of the house to make sure I couldn't hear her crying and thankfully it was all quiet.
So obviously I'm in a huge panic and I run to the neighbours house and explain and ask to use the phone. I ring DH (mind you I'm still bawling) and manage to explain what is going on but he is 1.5hours away (he is a sales rep and travels a lot). So this is followed by more bawling of course. DH says to ring a locksmith so I try that and am told that one will come in 15 mins but of course will cost me an absolute fortune. Then I remember that MIL has a spare set of keys to our house so I ring her while she is at work and she says no probs I will leave work now, go home and get the keys and come straight over, should be about 15-20mins (lucky she works and lives nearby). So I wait for her while still bawling and if I hear Elena cry at this stage I am willing to throw a brick through a window. MIL comes in 20 mins and Elena is still blissfully sleeping and unaware of what has happened and I am a complete mess lol :cryinglaugh:
Anyway we don't have any keys kept outside for fear of somebody finding them and breaking in but may have to revisit that! So a big YAY for my MIL for saving the day
Sorry for selfish post, gotta go and attend to the little one, think she may have sore gums today. BBL.
ETA sarah would love to meet you but we are going to albury for weekend for family function, have fun in melb!

I can't keep up at the moment again but Blake has 8 teeth now. 8? What?!!?!
