Where is everyone??
Tan yay that school holidays are coming up, I'm sure all your kiddies love you hun even though you have been feeling so crappy. Take care and rest up over the break!
Lulu great that you guys got to go away for a few days. Not long to go until Ned arrives, are you totally over being pg yet? I'm guessing that the answer is 'YES'!
Anyway hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend. Vic girls hope you are managing to stay cool, yikes this weather is crazy!! I'm off to get myself some ice cream.
Ciao mummas and bubbas, hoping for lots and lots of sleep tonight! :D
-
Lis - I can't tell you just how over pregnancy I am. I am so huge and uncomfortable and sick all the time its just not funny. Had an OB appointment on Thursday and got told off for not eating enough (now losing weight each appointment). Asked him how would he like it to have to try to fill a stomach which has been squished to the size of a peanut while fighting nausea that comes at the mere sniff of food while chasing around an active 10 month old that you can barely carry anymore without nearly fainting with breathlessness. He didn't have an answer for that one!!
Tan - yay for holidays soon! So sorry to hear about your MS giving you such a hard time. Not too long now until you're out of the dreaded 1st trimester and hopefully it will all disappear by then.
-
Awwww Lulu you poor thing. I know it is probably the last thing you want to hear but you will have your new lil girl in your arms and your belly back to yourself hun. :hugs:
We went out for brunch with my MG today which was really fun- especially as I had only told one girl so far because I haven't seen everybody! Turns out another one of the girls at MG is pregnant too and due on the 13th October so it's going to be great having her boy and Izzy so close and then our next little ones too!
Have a nice Sunday arvo and stay cool Vic and SA girls!!
-
Sending you a stack of cyber hugs Lulu
I remember how awful I felt at that stage of pg and can't imagine how much harder it would be with constant m/s and an active baby to chase around. Hang in there, soon you will have little Ned in your arms and your stomach will return to its normal size and you will be able to eat man size meals again lol!
Tan glad you had a lovely brunch! How gorgeous that another one of the mums is pg too!! Nobody in my MG is up the duff again but I think a couple are considering it, so I guess its only a matter of time. We have decided to start TTC early 2009 or maybe late this year ;) Are you guys still house hunting? We have given it a miss this weekend, its way too hot!
Better go, I'm trying to get some work done this afternoon so I will have less to do tomorrow. Would help if I got off BB

Hey everyone! It is so quiet in here!! All those bubbas are keeping us all busy!! I have been working, sleeping when I can, washing when can, and bascially trying to fit a million things in a day!! Does it ever end!!
OK, I have a question girls (dont laugh!!!) , I feel like a bit of a d*%k, but I need some advice!! OK, AF is due this Fri, I know when I ovulate cause I get pains etc, well anyway DH and I dtd with no protection but he did withdraw (sorry if tmi!!), but the next day I had pain so am pretty 100% I ovulated. So do you think there is any chance I may be preg, I don't want to test just yet, but I swear to God, unless it is in my head, I am sooo nauseus this morning. From what I have looked up it would be pretty unlikely, but why do I feel sick!
Anyway, will just wait I spose and see if AF arrives!! OMG, not sure how I would feel though If I got a BFP. Anwyay, off to do some housework and keep myself occupied!!!
-
You could be pregnant. The withdrawal method isn't actually very reliable as a form of contraception because even if he withdraws in time there is still a certain amount of, um, er, leakage. On the other hand, you could just be making yourself nervous and that's making you sick, or you could have picked up a bug. Or you could be pregnant :p
Tan- that's great one of the other mums is pregnant. It will be lovely for you to have two bubs each growing up together.
Thanks for the hugs girls. Feeling pretty sorry for myself at the moment. The great news is that my parents have sold their house and will have moved back to Perth by the time Ned is born, which is a huge relief. Izzy is so independent a lot of the time with her play but she is still just such a baby, so it will be great to have Mum around to help me. Mum came up to visit yesterday and Izzy was so happy to see her - she kept crawling to Mum to be picked up and was so happy playing with her all day long. So nice to see and such a difference from how she is with DH's parents. It makes me angry and upset at times that my parents live 150kms away but make sure that its never more than 10 days or so that they see Iz, but DH's parents who live maybe 5kms away can go weeks without bothering to see her, but then have the nerve to say they don't see her enough! Very annoying.
Anyway, whinge over. Have a great day everyone
-
Lulu, great news about your folks! That will be so good for you all. I rang Mum to come help me this morning, just so she could watch kids so I could get some housework and washing done. Is so hard when Angus can't be trusted cause he is into everything!!!!
Anyway, hopefully that "leakage" (thanx Lulu!!) had no swimmers in it!!! Will just wait and see I spose!! ANyway, betta get changed, have school assembly soon, so betta be a good parent and get down there to watch!!
-
Good evening ladies,
OMG we have been so quiet in here lately, so different for us.
Lulu - I just noticed your ticker. OMG only 40 days to go. I can't remember, what was your labour with Izzy like? Is Iz still being clingy or is she going to her daddy a little more. That is fantastic news about your parents selling up and moving closer. The extra sets of hands will be invaluable. I know exactly what you mean about the in-laws. DH's inlaws are exactly the same. Drives me crazy too!
Shell - After Lulu's description I don't know quite where to go from there, LOL!!! But I completely agree with her. It only takes one little swimmer!! Is Angus all over his diahorrea? Did you end up getting any results? How you surviving working night shifts??
Danni - How's the packing coming? When is the big move?? Is your little man sleeping any better for you guys?
Tan - How's the morning sickness treating you? Your gorgeous little girl eating more for you yet? Betcha happy easter holidays are here, get to rest up and spend some time with your gorgeous angel.
Sangie - Managing to get any work done or being naughty like me and spending your time on here chatting to the girls?
Sarah - How are you going with Noah's sleeping after sleep school?
Ash - Your gorgeous little man walking? How's Dave? Your weekend away good?
A huge Hi to everyone who I have missed. I couldn't go back very far with this silly laptop. Hope you are all well and your bubba is treating you well.
Well nothing really exciting going on here. Livvy had her very first sleep over at Nan and Pa's on Saturday night. All three of them loved it and it was really nice to have some time off to do some serious packing. I was surprised at how well I coped. Now the first one is over they should be easier from now onwards.
Two fairly exciting things. I finished my midwifery degree on Friday!! So it's official, I'M A MIDWIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a beautiful bunch of flower and taken out for dinner by Dave and Livvy. It was a great night. And I must admit I'm just so damn proud of myself for making it, YAY! Secondly, we have decided to TTC a brother or sister for Livvy in June. Only 10 weeks, YAY!! It was the soonest I could get Dave to agree. So I guess I can wait 10 weeks. I'm just so damn clucky. I have been for months and months.
So that's about all going on here. Hopefully some will be able to pop on and catch us up with what's going on with them and their gorgeous little ones. Can you believe they are nearly 1. I'm struggling with that.
Have a great night and chat again real soon,
Luv Dan.

Dan - Congratulations Mrs Midwife! That is fantastic hun, I am so happy for you! Oh and yay on TTC in June, I hope its a short journey for you  Yes believe it or not I have been getting quite a bit of work done from home! Next week is a short week because I get Easter Monday off woo hoo!
Shell - Wow hun how are you feeling? Any more nausea? I agree it only takes one little feisty swimmer! Is Angus better now?
Lulu - oooohhhh its getting closer to Ned's arrival! Are you all organised yet, bags packed??? Gggrrr at you inlaws not seeing Izzy ver often, don't worry it is their loss! Fantastic news that your parents will be on hand when Ned arrives!
Hey everyone else, hope you are all well and that all the bubbas are being well behaved! Elena has just started cruising, cheeky girl is quite proud of herself! Well gotta fly, having brunch with my sister! Take care all and enjoy the easter break! Yum can't wait to get into some choccie eggs lol!
-
Dan - that is fantastic news. You have every right to be incredibly proud of yourself. You've had such a huge amount to balance. Good for you. And yay for TTC soon - hopefully it will be a very quick journey so you can join Tan and I (and Shell???:p) in the land of craziness! Labour with Iz was not flash - induction after my blood pressure when up and it still took almost 36 hours with me throwing up most of the way. Lovely experience. Aren't you glad you asked??! Still, I recovered very quickly and Iz was born without any troubles for her at all and that's the main thing. And no, not a thing packed yet, but seeing as I didn't pack with Iz until 40+4 when my OB told me I had to go to hospital NOW, I'm not that fussed  Fortunately Izzy is not as clingy at the moment - I think the few days away were great because Rein carried her, fed her etc the whole time so she got some great time with her daddy.
Great news about a sleep over at grandparents. I'm still working up to that one so its nice to know babies can do it and survive! Mum mentioned it a couple of days ago to me that Iz could stay with them once they move up - I think it would make her year to have Iz overnight all to herself.
Lis - enjoy your brunch. Yummmmm. I love brunch - best meal of the day. Eggs benedict with yummy runny egg yolks - one of the first things on my wish list once Ned is born. I was naughty and ate a whole chocolate rabbit yesterday - never have been good at waiting. Yay for Elena cruising. She's on her way now - time to move anything you haven't already ;)
Iz took 5 steps entirely on her own yesterday. I was sitting playing a metre or so away from her and she just let go of the table and walked to me. At first I was just still playing but then I realised what she'd just done. I just can't believe how quickly the development is. My baby girl is turning into a little girl. This is just such a gorgeous age though (but haven't they all been?). She's cheeky and smart and interacts so much now. Just when I think I can't love her anymore I do. Ok. Dribbly mummy stuff over now . . .
Have a great Easter everyone - hope the Easter Bunny leaves lots and lots and lots of yummies.
-
Hello everyone! Been flat out over here.... Glad to see everyone is well
Lulu: cant believe you are so far along! Feels like just yesterday when I met you and Izzy!
Tan: hope you are feeling better and enjoy the extra long weekend
Dan: Yay on finishing your course. that is awesome!! Does that mean I can hire you as my private midwife with #2? And yay on ttc #2. I really hope it is a VERY short journey this time.
We have been ttc for 4 cycles now and still nothing. grrrr
Shelle: yep, all it takes is one little swimmer! Hope you get the result you'd be most happy with!
We are busy packing and getting ready for easter, mine adn dh's birthdays, our anniversary and masons bday! We move on the 18th april so not long now!!
-
Hi Everyone! Just thought I would pop in an say hi!! I just need to sit here for 5mins and take a few deep breaths while Angus screams it out in the room. he has had about 30mins all day and I am exhausted! I have a huge headache and sore throat. Anyway....
Congrats Dan!!! Well done, that is such a huge achievement to be a midwife!! Amazing Job!!!!
Lulu, hopefuilly this labour will be much easier for you. :crossfingers:
Danni, I hope this month is for you, did it take long to ttc last time??
Lis, yummy brunch. How was it!!?? I love going to the shops when they have all day brekkie and getting bacon and eggs yummo!!!
Can't remember who else wrote haha!! (must be preg brain, only joking:p:p)
Well still no AF here, hmm, not brave enough to bo preg test yet! Will wait it out for awhile. Quite honestly, I know DH doesn't want another, but I would be so happy, but shocked, if I was utd!!! Naughty me!!
Anyway, Angus is getting quite upset down there, I dont know what to do with him. Have a lovely easter if I dont get back before hand!!!!
-
Dan- Great to hear from you, it has been really quiet in here hasn't it!? :confetti: Congratulations on finishing your course hun!!!! Whoohoo - you must be so proud and relieved!!! I cried when I finally finished my course and realised I was actually a REAL teacher!!! When is your big move?? HOw great that you all coped so well with LIvvy being away overnight. My mum keeps bugging me to keep her there overnight so we can sleep in and get some time out - I'm well and truly ready but Al isn't yet... easy for him still in bed while I've been awake since quarter to 6!:p Yay for TTC!!!!! Hope June hurries up for you!!!
Lulu - I can't believe how close you are too! Although we are all close to having our first lot of birthdays!!! Luckily labours are all different and as you sad the most important thing is to have that healthy beautiful bubby in your arms! My ms is still hanging around with a vengenance. With Izzy is was 14-15 weeks until it really eased up so will see if this time round is the same or worse!
Fantastic news about your parents too -I really don't know how I could have made it without my mum and sister, especially early on when I was just a mess but I guess you just do what you have to do!
Shell - for you and your sore throat, I hope it passes quickly and good luck with the preg test! You might have to bite the bullet soon if AF doesn't show up!
Danni - Not long to go now with the packing and organising! SOunds like you have a busy few months coming right up!! We should try to catch up again sometime soon!
:hello: to all the other yummy mummies and gorgeous growing bubs!!
Well just while sitting here reading this I had an idea!!! Bright spark that I am -;) anyway I really have to say it has been such a pleasure to share our pregnancies together - can you believe this time last year we were all about to pop!! Anyway you guys have been my sanity and I love hearing about how you are all going and how your gorgeous babies are - SOOOOO is anyone interested in doing a little KK for their birthdays??? I thought it might be fun to do it- whoever is interested can email me and I will get Al to shuffle names and email everyone back so I don't know who is buying for who!!
Whaddya think?? We can keep it at a $10 limit or something but it might be nice to have a little something from the other bubbies that were so longed for and waited for at the same time as our bubs were!!! Let me know what you think!!!
I'm so excited that it is Easter and AL is home for 4 days! He generally works for 6 days a week so 4 days is brilliant! AND Im on school holidays - yay!! Work has been good but much more stressful when Im there and our planning the other day was a disaster - so Im glad to be away from it for 2 weeks!!
I have my 12 week scan next Wednesday too - bring it on - I cant wait to pass that and 13 weeks so I can really relax and start to get really excited about this bubby!
Ok eat up lots of choccies and lots of peace and joy to you and your families over easter my lovelies!!!
-
yes I love the kk idea!! I was gunna suggest that ages ago but totally forgot! lol
I think Mason is the oldest? Or Maybe Izzy (lulu's)? I cant remember! So they range from the middle of april to the end of may!
-
I think the KK sounds like a great idea. I think Mason is oldest, but Angus is up there too isn't it?
-
Hey everyone, just thought I would say a quick hi to everyone and wish everyone a Happy Easter!!!
I will be in for a KK for the big first birthdays, definitely a good idea. I'll PM you Tan
Ok must go, think the boy here needs to go to bed
