Dan - I'm going to be really sorry to see you go but I completely understand. I go through stages where I'll be on here for ages and other times not for days. I rarely post at all in Elena's baby buddy thread. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes swimmingly well and that you will be telling us of the arrival of your new baby (I'm still thinking another princess for you!). You probably don't know just how much of a help you and some of the other BB ladies have been to me over the past few months and I will truly miss you.

Hi, I had a baby in May 2007, and i was wondering if i could join you girls
-
Welcome Jesska! We are a pretty quiet thread generally but very friendly so you are more than welcome!
I had a MCHN appointment yesterday - Izzy is 11.4kgs and 83 cms tall! :) The nurse asked if she was climbing etc.... and I said um yep and as she watched her said, she's been walking a while hasn't she! She also asked if she has about 20 words and I said definitely and probably a bit more and I got home and made a list and its nearly 100!!! Clever chicken! Her sleep is all over the place and after 20 mths I have given her a dummy now. Isn't that crazy but she seems to need it right now and while Al was away I needed rest.
Hope you are all well - as I said before I will be around still but not quite as much as normal although our gorgeous thread isn't that busy and I am subscribed so will keep up with it when I can.

I'm saying goodbye too girls. :( My time has definitely come - please add me to FB we have all been through so much with you all from when I was pregnant with Isabelle. You got me through more than you can ever imagine from back then and watching our gorgeous families and toddlers grow has been wonderful. Please give me your email or other details so we can stay in touch but I promise I will pop in from time to time as well. to all of you special wonderful women and your beautiful kids.

This is all very sad. I feel like my family is moving overseas or something :(

Shell weekend away sounds great! I'm trying to organise a holiday over easter but lots of place are already booked out, not happy!
Sorry to be brief but I'm at work so should go and actually do some work. Just wanted to pop in and say hello and keep this thread moving!

Welcome home Shell. A weekend away sounds lovely!
Well, we had my SIL's wedding on the weekend. The girls looked so beautiful in their pretty dresses but were much more interested in the playground and the lake at the park than they were in watching their Aunt get married!
El had her 8 month check last week. She is actually smaller than Izzy was at the same time, which surprised me a little. I guess I'm going to have two petite fairies on my hands. We got Izzy's "big girl" mattress on the weekend and are just waiting for her bedframe to arrive from Freedom. Bit annoyed - they said it was in stock, took my money and then when I was trying to arrange picking it up they told me it was on backorder!! Grrr. I was really looking forward to putting it all together. Still, its probably for the best - Izzy can have some time (hopefully!) in the mattress on the floor before I have to worry about her falling out of bed at any height!
-
Aw no ladies where are you all going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( Why cant you only post in here???
-
Hmm. I agree Kass - I'd love to have seen Dan and Tan stick around but I can understand why they want to go. I have to say, after reading a particular thread today I am starting to wonder about the maturity level of some women on this forum. Seems to me like there are some who are just after an argument, and will pick and pick until they get one.
Anyway . . .
Read Izzy her story last night before bed and she wanted to read it in her big girl bed. She then said she wanted to sleep in her new bed so I did the usual, tucked her in etc and walked out. I sat on the sofa upstairs just outside her room so when she tottered out 5 seconds later I took her back. She came out again about 3 minutes later and I told her time to go to bed and off she went back to bed on her own. Three more times she came out with a mischievous little smile but tottered off happily when I told her. THen she came out with her big girl pillow not quite so happy but still went back to bed. A couple of minutes later I heard her crying in her room so I went to check - the poor little love was trying to climb into her cot! I gave her a big cuddle, told her she was a clever girl and put her to bed in her cot. I guess we're not quite as big a girl as we thought we were ;)

lulu, id love to know which thread?
-
In the Boo Hoo room Danni - about airconditioning. Just ridiculous IMHO.
-
Lulu I saw that thread too and wasn't overly impressed! You know one day Izzy will just decide to stay in her big bed. It's a great idea keeping both beds for her and letting her choose, I might steal that idea! I"m sure your girls would have looked gorgeous all dressed up for the wedding.
Eeeekkkk its gonna be 43 here today. It was in the 40's yesterday too and so is tomorrow. Poor Ellie wants to go play outside but I know she won't stay in the shade and its far too hot to be in the sun. Have my first OB appointment tomorrow and I just booked into hospital yesterday - very exciting!!!!!
-
yep saw that lulu-- this place is becoming a war zone.
Yes, not coping so well with the heat here. And J is hardly moving :(
-
Its so hard trying to explain to them why they can't go outside isn't it. I had that problem with Izzy over the last couple of weeks. Given her choice she would have stayed outside in 42 degrees playing in her cubbyhouse and on her slide! Its much cooler here this week although someone obviously moved Perth into the tropics while I wasn't looking. Its about 30 but raining. Revolting. I hope you ladies are surviving the heat over there and have your airconditioners seriously cranked up ;) I'm not sure about the bed thing being a good idea - will let you know. She seems to view her big bed as a play thing so will have to give it a bit and then maybe she'll go cold turkey after all.
D - don't worry too much about J not moving. Try not to compare him to how M was. Hard to do I know but they really are so different. With Iz I felt her so early and she ended up being a regular but not significant mover. With Ellie it took a while (after hearing she should have been earlier being the second baby!) but hooley dooley did she make up for it! She started probably about 25 weeks and just didn't stop.
Stay cool ladies.
