Hi girls
Good to see some action in here!!
Reborn – CONGRATS!!! How exciting for you!!
Raven - hope your back is feeling better – I’ve pulled a muscle in mine while lifting the washing basket also – time for a housework strike I reckon!!
Boo Boo – we’re also in the “some not” basket when it comes to sleeping thru. Sienna is absolutely terrible and we’ve finally got a referral for Tresillia, but they have a 13 week waiting list, so I’ve no idea how I’m going to wait that long without help!!!
Leigh – hope the throat gets better!!
Skyeblue – we’ve had a sick bubba too. Her cough is terrible and is waking her constantly throughout the night. Hope Mia has finally kicked it!
Kate – poor Bella, there must be so much fluey stuff going around at the moment, sick bubbas everywhere!!
Apart from the horrible nights (I’m starting to dread bedtime), Sienna has been well. She’s finally kicking the cold, altho she still has a lingering cough which is disturbing her through the night. On a good note tho, our little girl is crawling!! Now I’ll really know I’m alive, we’ve now got to do the whole “child-proofing the house” business coz she gets into everything!!
As mentioned, we’re off to Tresillia for some sleep-assistance. But in the meantime I think I’m going to resort to swaddling again as that seems to settle Sienna when she wakes herself in the night, and at the moment, we’re desparate for anything to work!!
Take care all,
Mel xx

Sam- sounds like my trip....although yours was a bit more fun-! I had a flat battery so I pulled out the pram and ran to the health centre...only to work out that I was 30 minutes early...then ran home, then picked up mum and Olivia, walked back and was 10 minutes late and stinky!
Kate- hope bella is getting better
mel- good luck up the sleep school. We went for Olivia and the wait is revolting. I didnt get too much out of it but it just reassured me that we were doing the right things!
Us- bec seems to only want to have one sleep....doh! Liv did the same thing. So today she slept from 12 til 3pm. Probably coz she was up at 415 this morning. She went back down at 6 and Liv got up soon after, so I have been up since 415 and my head is aching. Cant sleep coz dh is at tafe:( Just have an early night i hope. Becca is cutting her top tooth so more fun to come. Shes still commando crawling, she can get up on all 4s bt slips on the boards. I have been doing the wii for the past few nights as I want to loose 5kgs before coming off the pill in September....and my legs are killing me. I do the jillian Micheals class.
Anyway hope everyone is well
-
hey all
Mel - I am so with you on the sleep, I dread nights as well, Finny has a cough at the moment which is just making things so much worse, some nights he wakes up to 10 times - yes I kid you not - arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that is all I can say :)
Kate - aww hope little bella's on the mend, can she send some sleepy vibes our way.
Sam - that is so what would happen to me - re: MCHN visit.
Ok sorry I have missed out everyone, it is quiet so I really should try and get some zzzz' s before the next wake up call.
 to all.

Hi Girls
Kate - Hope the antibiotics kick in fast and Bella gets better really soon.
Sam - I couldnt help but laugh at your trip to the MCHN, that sort of thing would happen to me too.
Mel - I haven't tried the Jillian Michaels workout, thinking I might buy it and give it a go. I've been so slack on my diet and exercise lately. Gotta get motivated again.
Melly - Bugger on the sleep school waiting list. Fingers x'd Sienna starts sleeping well at night for you really soon. Must be hard not getting a good night sleep.
Hi to everyone I have missed. I am really struggling today. I went out for the first time last night with friends. I told myself yesterday that I was going to have an early night, be home by 1 am at the latest. Well I got home at 4am drunk, I am so paying for it right now. DH is a work all day & wont be home until 7:30pm I am on struggle street big time, a hangover and kids are not a good mix. I am never drinking again lol, I've said that many times over the years. It was a good night though. We went to Manpower first lol. I had neve been before.
-
Hi girls,
Sam - lol at your health visit. I've felt like a feral too with Sienna being sick lately coz she's constantly got a snotty dripping nose and the second I go to wipe it, it's like she has a sixth sense and wipes her hand through it a split second before, so yep, snot in the hair has been a regular occurrence round here too, lol
Melissa - to be honest, I'm really not expecting too much from Tresillia, but I'm getting desperate so am willing to try everything!! I really think that Sienna's probs are more to do with her tummy than with sleep issues, if that makes sense, as she seems to be waking up in discomfort, pulling her little legs up to her chest and crying, and she also sleeps much better on her tummy. So now she's better we're giving the lact-free formula another go, I figure it's not soy so it's not going to hurt her even if it's not the answer to our probs. So we'll see how we go...
I'll look for you on Facebook too, I'm usually wasting time on there when Sienna's having her morning sleep.
Boo boo - I hear ya girl!!! Fun times hey....here's hoping our bubbas sort themselves out before we go insane!!
Leigh - lol you poor thing, hangovers are worst at the best of times, let alone when you've got two little ones to look after. I think I've only had a few too many once since having Sienna, and I had to work the next day so it wasn't so bad (I hate my job so I'm usually crabby and fed up at work at the best of times!).
As long as you enjoyed yourself and got a bit of a perve to boot (haven't actually seen Manpower myself, maybe if they had an 'alternative' manpower complete with tatts and piercings I might be more interested  not really into the 'beefcake' look lol)
Kate - I read your post about Bella crying when she leaves your mum and just wanted to give you a big
You poor sausage, it's an emotional time when bub is sick, and going back to work is a huge thing too (even when you love your job!) so take heart that you are doing a great job!! Bella will never love anyone as much as she loves you, and your bond with her will grow stronger everyday (ok now I'm starting to sound like a Hallmark card, but you get my drift).
As for us, we actually had a good night with Sienna last night. She was only up twice, and both times, she was a breeze to resettle. She was still asleep when I left for work at 7.30am this morning, which is just amazing (bet she won't do that tomorrow when I could sleep in with her, lol). The only thing we did differently was to turn off her night light, coz we had been wondering if it was too bright and stopping her from re-settling if she woke (coz she's constantly staring at it when we're trying to get her off to sleep). She's also on 1/2 lact-free, 1/2 normal formula bottles at the moment (to get her used to the taste of lact-free, she's a fussy little bugger when it comes to milk), so hopefully that had something to do with it also. Whatever it was, it was nice to have our bed to ourselves, as we had been bringing Sienna in just to get some sleep!!
Take care chickadees xxx

Hi all :D
Sorry for the disappearing act. For some reason everytime I go to play on the computer I have an overwhelming urge to throw up. Dont take it personally. Were all good here except I think were having a little sibling rivalry (between my DH and DS). If its not one nagging at me, its the other. DS has been waking alot at night and now sleep wonderfully during the day. Its a shame not all of can live with that routine.
Skye: Is Mia still sick? My SIL said maybe try probiotics with her milk. Hope she's feeling better.
Raven: I almost fell of my chair when I read your post :P And thanks for reminding me to make an app for DS.
Melly: Congrats with the crawling!!! What baby proofing stuff are you going to use? We didnt really do any baby proofing because our cupboards are impossible for me to open let alone our little crawling monkey.
Mini: Good luck with the teething again. And the weight loss. I was doing Wii Fit for a while but it just made me feel bad with the everyday weigh ins. Is the Jillian Michaels one fun? What's involved?
Leigh: Glad you had a good time at Manpower. I want to see their show next time their in Perth. Might even drag "blind" MIL along and see how blind she really is ;) Anyway you deserved a good night out. Sucks about the hangover though.
Hi to everyone I missed. Sorry but I'm a little sleep deprived (just like everyone else :))
Wishing all of a deep 12 hour sleep tonight.
-
Hi all
Reborn had to laugh at your wishing us all a deep 12 hour sleep tonight lol. I havent slept that long for years! lol.
Mia is much better. Still has a cough and runny nose, but much happier. Sleeping at night slowly improving. Still doing the 11pm DF, then last night she woke at 1! I went to go in and it went silent....she resettled herself and didnt wake til 4.15 for a feed, then up at 7.15, I was stoked.
She went down for her morning sleep an hour ago and now she is awake, sorry for no personals Ill be back later girls! I have read the thread though :) xx

Hello, hello, hello, I haven't popped in here for aaaages
Lovely to hear about how you're all going and hugs to those that need a good night's sleep
Congratulations Reborn! Wonderful news :D
Sammi - Loved your story of you taking your feral DD to the heath center
We're all good here. I've been back at work since DD was 4 months, it was originally just one day a week but it's two days a week now. It's busy but I wouldn't have it any other way - I love my days with the kids and I love my days without them too.
DD's going great, she loves rolling but can only sit for a very short time. She's been doing this hilarious rocking on her hands and knees for a few weeks now. I'm sure one day when our backs are turned she'll take off. She LOVES solids of all kinds, no signs of teeth at all. She is a bit of a random sleeper, some nights are great, others are not so great.
DS is great with her, very gentle and loving. Awwww....
That's all :D
-
Hey all, just thought i should pop in. We are all ok. Bec can properly crawl now...when she gets on the carpet, otherwise its commando over the boards. Shes cutting her top teeth and is grizzly as all get up and go. Her nights havent been the most glamourous but hopefully they will settle soon. I have noticed that she likes to sleep on her tummy now.
Skye glad Mia is doing better. Gosh she has beautiful eyes...so mesmorizing
Rach good to hear from you. Love your ticker pic. Reminds me of my 2 girls...the younger one wants to look and smile and the older one always looks away. Glad things are going well for you too.
Sorry about the speeling., am so tired. DH is away on a boys trip, so no rest for me.
Take care
-
Hey ladies. I've popped in really quickly to ask a question. For those of you who have your bubs in disposibles (sp?) what size are they in? I've had to start putting Jack in walker sized nappies and I'm wondering if he is a freak of nature or if someone else is doing it.
Thanks. I come back later to chat :)
-
Hi Reborn, I've just started Lara in cloth but still use disposables for night time and for when we're out and about. She is still in Huggies Crawler size but as soon as she is finished this box that we're using she is going up to the Toddler size. Walker is the size after Toddler isn't it?
:hello: everyone else, hope you & all the bubs are well!
-
Hey reborn, I hve got Bec in the Aldi nappies...they are 7kgs to 16kgs...they are pretty roomy but the next size down is way too small. I they are the larg/toddler size. So nope dont think he is a freak! Hows the pg going?
We are having a crap time. Becs been awake and grizzly most nights. Her top teeth are just joyous! One is through the other looks close. I officially hate teething.
-
Hello...has been a long time between visits...and I stopped getting the emails so haven't had time to keep up with everyone, just trying to keep up with my two DD.
Willow has two bottom teeth (since about 6mths), top 2 are just about there, is not quite crawling yet but can get from one side of the room to the other in no time flat with a bit of commando action. Still waking through the night for feeds...thought Miss C was late when she didn't sleep through until 6mths now just wishing Miss W would. But she does settle straight back down after a feed. Generally goes to bed around 6.30 and up in the morning at 6.30. Miss C usually comes in anytime from 4.30am and if its a good morning she'll just go back to sleep in our bed. Luckily I can survive on minimal sleep.
Loving her solids, especially mild Indian (!) pureed and served with whole rice grains. Also loves spiral pasta with some bolognaise which she just shovels into her mouth like no tomorrow. Still not keen on the bottle (even EBM) so no sleep throughs for me yet (even if I could convince DH to get up !) But it has meant no AF yet which I'm happy about.
On a sadder note, I lost my 2 beautiful labradors last week. Both were getting on in age, but I hadn't expected them to go just yet. My girl went very suddenly (vet only gave her hours to go) and my old boy had been struggling for a while and medications weren't helping so had to make a very difficult decision to let him go to Rainbow Bridge with his mate. Miss C has asked a few times where they are and i have just said that they are sleeping - she seems to be satisfied with that explanation, don't think she is quite at the stage of grasping the situation yet so feel it better not to say too much.
On the topic of car seats. I moved Miss W to forward facing a couple of weeks ago - she loves being able to see what is going on. She had been trying to sit up whenever I put her in the rear facing seat for a while.
Hope everyone and their bubs are well, those that have been crook/teething etc I hope all is getting better.
Cheers'
Jo

Hey All,
About bed time for me so no personals sorry!!
Bella is finally over her Broncialitis but still has a nasty cough but back to her happy giggling self!!
She has just cut both her top teeth so now has 4!! yay.
Still sleeping 6.30 till 6.30 and then 3 sleeps during the day. Loves sitting up and can do it alone. Not trying to crawl as still hates tummy time but can hold her self up on the couch standing so I have a feeling that she is going to bypass crawling and go straight to walking!!
Loves her solids but still hates lumps! Loves toast with veg mite for breaky tho!
Anyway work day tomorrow (well 6 hrs anyway!) so off to bed!
Hope eveyone is well!!
Oh and we are about to turn Bellas car seat around too as she is to long for it and needs the leg room! She is 76cms!! Also we are in toddle nappies too.. she is nearly 12 kgs so we need them!!
Kate
-
Wow Kate shes growing nicely. Am glad shes better. Sounds like she will give the crawling a miss. Have fun at work!
Jo sounds like Willow is doing well too. Good to hear from you. Sorryto hear about your dogs.
Us- we have had night after night after night of crud sleep. Becs top teeth have cut but now she has a cold. Shes tossing and turning all the time and grizzling. At least shes not having several feeds over night like over the weekend! Shes been sleeping with us coz I cant settle her. Shes also been waking dd1 up too coz shes been crying soo much. Needless to say I am very tired. Anyway, dd1 is stirring. I hope she will leep longer. Shes so grizzly at night as she no longer has day sleeps. Bec is stuggling to have 2 day sleeps and when she does they are no longer than an hour. I just figure I got kids who dont sleep well.
-
Hi Girls,
Jo - Great to hear from you. Willow sounds great. Hopefully she'll get used to a bottle soon so you have have a break for some feeds. You're lucky no AF though. I am really sorry about your dogs. My dog that I had had for 14 years died last year. I haven't turned Lara's car seat around yet but thinking I need to very soon. She is getting too long rear ward facing and also getting a bit heavy for me to lift in and out.
Kate - So glad that Bella is better. It is amazing how some kids walk without doing crawling first.
Melissa - You poor thing, you must be exhausted. Hopefully your girls will get into some sort of good sleeping routine for you soon. Hope Bec gets over her cold soon.
:hello: to everyone else.
Well Lara is crawling like a crazy around the house and is now pulling herself up into the standing position, she is doing it all the time. I really need to drop her cot base on the bottom level otherwise I am scared she'll fall out of the cot when she is standing and looking over the edge. She still only has her two bottom teeth, which she has had since 6 months but when I lift her top lip up I can see 3 top teeth almost breaking through the gum so anytime now they'll be through.
-
Hi girls,
I'm at work, so just a quick one...
We've been going well, Sienna has actually slept thru the odd night which has been a lovely change.
She's crawling everywhere and is an absolute menace getting into everything - we really haven't gotten around to childproofing stuff, we have no stairs etc, but do need to get some cupboard locks and power point protectors. But most of all we need a playpen!!!
She's pulling herself up on everything now to, so she's standing up in the cot, up against the lounge, up against the coffee table etc etc. She's had a few tumbles, but it's all part of learning so she'll survive!
I have my pre-entry interview for Tresillia on Monday so fingers crossed!!
Sorry no personals girls, hope you've all been doing well xx
-
Just a quick one from me.....Bec is crawling properly and is pulling to stand. Found her in the bathroom standing at the bath, but fell...luckily my foot was there to break the fall coz she would have smacked her head on the tiles!
Am going...the AMP logo that BB has for advertizing is really giving me a headache.... hope youre all well
-
Hi girls,
It's been quiet in here lately.
Melissa - I looked for you on Facebook but there's quite a few peeps with your name and I didn't want to send a friend request to a random *wink*
Wow, that was lucky that you saved Bec's little noggin.
Geez, they're a menace now they're pulling themselves up aren't they?? We've got a big rubber alphabet mat which softens the blow somewhat when Sienna loses her grip off the lounges, but I reckon she'll be walking soon which will be a whole new kettle of fish to deal with.
I'm on the hunt for a playpen - any recommendations?
I had my pre-entry interview for Tresillia yesterday and we're in on the 17th Sept - only four weeks to go. As I mentioned earlier, I don't have massively high hopes, but it certainly can't hurt, and it will be great for Sienna to have a thorough checkup and to get some guidance on meal sizes etc.
Sienna has actually been sleeping much better lately, we've had a few nights where she's slept through, and only a couple of rotten nights when she's ended up in our bed (and I've ended up on the lounge *rolleyes* ) so I'm incredibly grateful for that!!
That's about it for us...we start excavation works for our new house very soon - woo hoo!!
Take care girls xx
-
HEy Mel....my face book is Melissa Howell...or you could type in Melissa Duffie and it will come up Howell. I have a picture there of myself and dh with the girls sitting on our shoulders.
Playpens.....mmm I never had one, but looked on ebay. I suppose it would depend on how big you want it. Have fun finding one!
-
Thanks Mel,
I'll search for you again.
We've ordered a playpen off the net and I cannot wait for it to arrive!! I'm so sick of hearing myself say "no" when Sienna goes where she shouldn't and now she's starting to chuck paddies when I move her away from powercords etc *rollseyes* sheesh she's already got an attitude at 9 & 1/2 months, lol
-
lol, i gotta get a little better with these emoticons....
-
Hey mel....I was thinking of you when I was at Big W the other day and saw a play pen. Good that you got one. We dont have the room for one, so at the moment its lots of no's from me, but luckily we aready have the house kiddy proof from Liv...she was a real bugger and got into everything....and still does. Becs much the same, very curious. I just had to do a bolt after her coz Liv is out the back and left the door open and bec was about to attempt getting down the step....head first.
Much the same here, becs crawling and standing up on things. Cot is down to the lower level. She pulls herself up but not happyto let go to sit, so just stands and cries! Sleep is somewhat better since the top teeth errupted. Trying to get her into a routine with day sleeps and self settleing. Something we havent really done due to her sharing a room with Liv. We have let her cry on the occassion but it wakes liv up.....what to do hey!
So I have seen a few people are pregnant again. Zoo, reborn......anyone else?
-
Just a quick one from me:
After rocking on her hands and knees for two weeks, then going backward and getting wedged under furniture for another two weeks, Harriet is finally crawling forwards :cheer: Yay for my DD! :D
-
Oh Yay...well done!
Just a quick question....Rebecca is almost 9 kgs, her seat says she can go forward facing from 8kgs and she is starting to make it very difficult for me to get her in the seat rear facing...she arches her back and as soon as shes in there she sits up. I know the importance of keeping them rearward facing for as long as possible and for the life of me, I cant remember when I put Olivia forward facing......so whos got their bubs forward facing? I suppose the one thing that holds me back from changing it around is that bec will sleep more often than not in the car and I do remember for a while that Olivia would flop her head down when asleep. I dont feel comfortable when they do that. Any advise would be good:)
-
Yeah, they way they flop their heads at truly terrible angles is just awful isn't it. I can't help but worry about that too but I really don't think we need to. Babies bodies aren't like adult bodies and are amazingly flexible. They never seem to mind the weird positions their body parts end up in, so why should we :dunno:
Anyway, Harriet is still only 7.something Kg (what a little dink she is compared to her boofa brother who was 12kg at this age  ) and she still can't sit reliably so she's still rear-facing in the car. I guess it sounds like it might be time to turn Becca. Maybe you could give it a go and just turn her back again if it's not working. :D
-
Year Rach....it does make me uncomfy looking at those positions....I still sit uneasily if Liv falls asleep and flops her head forward. Olivia used to flop forward when we changed her over but then worked out how to sleep with her head up...only now that we changed her car seat to the maxi rider ahr, she flops forward as it has that big cradle around her head......anyway I should try it.....if it doesnt work then yep I will put it back. It should be fun though with the girls sitting up together:)
OOhh what a little mite is your Harriet! Arent they funny how different each of your children are....but in saying that, my girls are very similar in height and weight at the same age (ahh the joys...can use the same clothes)
-
Yeah, the funny thing is Harri LOVES solids. She eats heaps and eats everything and feeds herself, just stuffing it all in it's hillarious. Angus HATED soilds and was pretty much exclusively breastfed until about 10 months! Ha! Same Mum, same milk, but sooooooo different babies. My two are such a case in point. :D
Yes, it will be lovely for you to turn around and look at them sitting up together in the back there. :D
-
Hi Girls,
Yay on Harriet crawling, our bubs are growing way too quick arent they. Lara turned 10 months yesterday and is now starting to furniture walk.
Melissa - Lara is 9 kg too and I am about to turn her car seat around. It is getting difficult for me to put her in the car too and I have noticed that she is trying to sit up while being rear ward facing so I think it is time I swapped it around. I'm like you , a bit scared to do it though. Although I think I did DD1 at 8 months & she was fine.
DH is going away tonight and doesnt get back until Monday. I have a mega sore throat so my bet is that I will be sick this weekend, what a nightmare it will be looking after the kids on my own if I am sick.
I can't remember but did any of you get your bubs christened?
-
Morning All,
Just a quick update as Bella is having a nap.
We are all good - Bella is cutting more teeth! She now has 2 bottom and her 2 top are about a 3rd out - man they look big!! But she must be geetting more as the drool has stepped up a notch and she cry's out in her sleep when she is getting teeth and has just started doing that again the last 2 nights!
Still sleepin 12 hrs + per night and has 2-3 sleeps durng the day - though a few days she has only had one sleep! I just go with her flow.
We have turned her car seat around as she was juts to long to be the other way around! She is nearly 70cms and now 11+ kgs! Though coz she is so long she doesnt look chubby - just cute!
Her head is getting much better and its starting to pop out a bit more now so thats a reliefe!
DH and I will start TTC mid next year so thats a bit exciting! I am starting to loose some weight now and try and get a bit healthy so that I will be right next year (fingers crossed!!)
Is anyone else started TTC or thinking about it??
DH is away this weekend - I hate when he is away! Just seems like the days go so long! And I love when he gets home as Bella goes nuts!
Anyways better put some waching on and have some toast!
Love to All
Kate xox
Sorry its a bot of an ALL about me post... Ill do personals next time!
-
Hey Kate, glad to hear that bellas head is rounding out. hopefully her top teeth wont take long. rebeccas cut in a week and they are huge with a huge gap!!! SO cute. I am still umming and ahhing about turning the seat. Will probably do it this weekend. Thats good that you have a set time frame for ttc #2. Good luck with your weight loss. I still have 5kgs to go, although I did loose 5 kg since about April...just been slack...luckily its not going back on! As for ttc for me...well I am almost finished AF and will most likely not go back on the pill. I would like to chart my cycles for 3 months and then try the shettles method to ttc a boy...thats the plan anyway!!!! So its soon for us.
Good luck for the weekend Kate and Leigh, I know how hard it is on your own. I hate it when dh goes away, the girls alway play up and I am usually exhausted by the end of it.
Leigh, hope youre not sick. We havent and wont be getting the girls Christened. I am, but dh isnt and my family is not religious so we just decided not to. I wouldnt know which religion to christen them anyway...I was baptised church of england and went to a catholic school!!! I want the girls to go to the local catholic girls school when they go to high school, so I should enquire....
-
Hi Girls,
Kate - I'm glad Bella's head is doing better too. Lara has 3 teeth, (2 bottom, 1 top) plus the other top front tooth is trying to break through plus one beside the top one that is already there. Hope Bella is good for you this weekend while your DH is away, mine is away this weekend too so I know how you feel. Yay on your weight loss, I still need to lose about 10 kgs. I was slack for a while but I have been good again this week.
Melissa - Both my girls aren't christened. I was christened Church of England and Dh was christened Catholic so I wouldn't know which church either. However there is a good Church of England school up here and someone has told me that you can't take your kids to either a catholic or Church of England school unless they are christened with that church, that's why I was wondering if any of you are christening your kids.
How exciting that you both have plans to TTC again. I am sooooo jealous, I would love another baby but coz of my uterine rupture I am unable. Although my GP is referring me back to the ob who did my caesar to see if there is any chance I can and also referring me to another ob for a 2nd opinion. Fingers x'd I can.
Gotta go, have a great weekend!
-
Leigh thats a bugger about the rupture. When do you go and see the specialist? Hope you get another chance if you want to. I am a little anxious...i dont know if thats the right word, about ttc #3. I just cant imagine what it would be like and if I will manage well. I am sure I will be fine!
Just turned Beccas seat around, havent taken her out yet! But I put the seats next to each other....hopefully it will work out well!
-
I'll be turning Lara's seat around in the next few days too. The girls sit next to each other now, even though Lara is still rear ward facing. Will be good to see them both facing the same way though.
My GP said he'd give me a referral the next time I see him, which will be for Lara's 12 month check up, unless I get sick and need to see him sooner. I might go sooner though coz Lara took 23 months to conceive, it was a nightmare that it took so long, we had 2 miscarriages in between though. We conceived our DD1 the first month of trying so was very frustrating that Lara took so long. I hope that if I can have another baby that it doesnt take too long to conceive.
-
hi girls!
Sorry I have been MIA for a while! Things are great here, Mia isn't sick for once, and is a happy bubba. Her sleeping has improved, she has a sleep for 1.5- 2 hours in the morning then another hour in the arvo...nights...well...they are "better" but still not the best lol. Bed at 7pm, dream feed at 10.30, wake for a feed at 4 or 5 and up at 7. A few times she didnt have the feed over night at all and I got excited, but last night it was 3am! I think there is a top tooth coming soon, she has been waking up upset and straight to sleep after some bonjela.
She is crawling everywhere and loves pulling herself up on her knees, not on her feet yet! I'm working 2 days a week, dropping back to one soon but wanting to pick up another day, the hours arent long and Im enjoying the extra money, Mia stays with the Grandparents which she loves.
Is anyone on Facebook that I havent got? PM me I'll add you :)
Mel- I have the 6 sided valco playpen, it is huge and Mia loves it. Which one did you end up getting?
Leigh- yikes sorry to hear about the rupture. I hope you can TTC again! When will you find out.
Melissa- Mia is pretty long and for that reason I think I will have to turn the car seat around soon...but I want to leave it RF as long as I can. I didn't think about the falling asleep thing, you have a point there. Oooh good luck TTC again! That is exciting. I just want to do the whole newborn thing again!
Kate- Exciting another one to TTC in this group! Glad Bella is doing so well, she is such a cutie.
Epacris- yay for Harri crawling, is she getting into everything? Mia sure is! lol
Oh well better head off, I am craving sushi BADLY and Mia is still asleep! Im tempted to wake her so we can go get some! hehe.

Hi All,
Well we changed the seat around and shes doing really well. We havent had any issues so far with her head flopping forward when she sleeps. We have been doing well, although it seems every time Rebecca cuts a tooth, she ends up with an ear and throat infection...thats how I worked out she was cutting her 5th tooth last week!!! Shes so much better now though. She was so ill she just lay there and would crawl or roll, she had a temp over 40. So now thats all past, shes crawling fast and standing up and starting to take a few steps to the side...soon she will be cruising the furniture all the time. Shes very chatty too, today I heard her saying no!!! I think shes just mimiking her sister!!
Hope everyone is well.....

Hi all,
Haven't been in for awhile..
Sienna is doing well, we had our first experience with gastro last week - OMG yuk!! So much poo and spew!! Hubby and Sienna were terrible but luckily I escaped it - typical woman holding the fort
Sienna's sleeping has declined again - arrrrggghh - she's up multiple times during the night, but luckily most times she goes down without a fuss once we shove her dummy back in. We're off to Tresillian in a week or so, and I know they'll tell us to get rid of the dummy...yikes!!
Skye - I ended up getting a Jolly Kidz Magic pen - It's plastic and you can make it any size you like by adding extra pieces. Just couldn't get hubby to agree on spending $250 on the Valco one, but I'm happy enough with this one. Sienna is occasionally happy to stay in there and play on her own, but usually she's standing up at the side whinging to get out - joy!!
I'll try and work out how to PM you coz I'm on Facebook all the time.
Mel - glad to hear Bec's better - it's so awful when they're sick!! Uh oh - starting with the "No" already!!! You're in for a fun time, lol. Sienna has started making animal noise when we read her story books - she loves making growling noises (for Lion), barking, and making monkey noise - too cute!!
Leigh - sorry to hear about what ur going thru - fingers crossed that you get another chance xxx
Everyone - hope all mum's and bub's are going well and hope all the hubbies had a wonderful Father's Day!!
Take care xx

Hi Girls,
It has been quiet in here lately. Hope you and all the bubs are doing well.
Well I finally got around to turning Lara's car seat around yesterday. I haven't been for a drive yet so can't wait to see how Lara goes when we do.
We had another snake in the house again on Sunday night. Omg I hate snakes, we live in Cairns (well the suburb we live in is one of the beach surburbs) We've had so many snakes in the yard and this is the 2nd one that we know of that has come in. They are sliding through under the screen door. Anyway it went into a hole in the wall where some pipes go in. We called a snake handler and he couldn't get it. He said it is a venomous snake though so I am freaking out. The piping is covering electrical wires. If it were normal pipes we could've put the hose through the hole & turned it on, and the snake may have come out. Anyway the only option was to seal the hole up so now I have a freaking snake in my wall somewhere. I am soooo scared it will find a way out. I hope it dies.
Gotta go, Lara is cracking it. Sorry for the lack of personals.

Sorry we havent been on lately either. The girls have just gotten over nearly 2 weeks of the flu/gastro, so its not been pretty! we are doing muc the same. Bec is cruising the furniture. Am hoping shes walking by her 1st bday. I cant believe how quickly a year has gone! We are also officially ttc. I am off the pill and ready to go!! Am trying to sway for a boy still, so lots of charting and stuff.
Hope everyone is well, take care

Melissa - so exciting you are ttc, hope it doesnt take too long. Did it take long to conceive your girls? Hopefully you'll get a boy this time. I am hoping Lara will be walking before her 1st b'day too. She turns 11 months on Saturday. I just put Lara to bed and she is screaming in her cot. She is hyped up coz DD1 has been mucking around with her. Hopefully she'll settle off to sleep soon!
We're going away this weekend. Will be Lara's 1st trip on a plane. We're going to visit the inlaws. Not looking forward to spending a whole weekend with them  Lara is teething and they don't understand what its like with a crying baby. FIL has already organised with DH to go out fishing so I'll be left on my own with MIL being driven nuts. They aren't helpful grand parents at all. Don't have anything to do with our children at all really. Our kids don't even get xmas/b'day presents or phone calls from them. Ok enough of that. Sorry a bit of a vent there.
