I hope Aston gets better soon Vicky.. i hated when Chelsea had a cold... she was so grizzly and wouldnt let me wipe her nose etc. Also hope Nat is ok with his Asthma tonight... would be nice to split into 2. A mum for Chelsea.. and then my other half can have time with Hubby :) As for making a blue for the next one.. ill see what i can muster!!
Our toothy peg still here and not gone back into hiding!! Chels is using it to her advantage and no biting hard onto my finger just so i know its there! Lil bugger wont let me take a picture tho.
-
Hahaha Kim im still trying to get a good pic of Emelia's 2 teeth, she just wont let me!!
Vicky hope u have a better night tonight and hope Nathan and Aston get better soon. Emelia was teething at the same time she had her throat infection then i think the day after her throat was better there was the tooth!! so it was good in away to get them both out the way!
-
that is so cute Taralee, about the raspberry blowing!
Blanchie, love your signature photo
i hear a wailing bilby, got to go, she's been unwell all weekend, we're all sick

Ladies! Hello again.
We've been trying to get Ella back into her old sleep routine. Like Tara said after we came down with a cold she wouldn't self settle. Now we seem to back on track again. We havent rocked Ella for the last 6 days :) she now settles with bum/leg patting Yay!
Gigi - its hard when everyones sick. Hope you get some rest.
AJP - So cute to hear them say mummum. Ella still hasnt taken to bottle/cup/sippy cup. Nothing is working here. And i go back in 2 weeks!
On the crawling thing. Ella hasn't rolled for ages and seems happy to just sit and play with toys. She loves to stand but doesnt pull her self up.
Ann
-
Emelia is the same as Ella, she prefers to sit and play with toys and stand, she does roll but hates it on her tummy so she plays for about 5 mins!!!
-
sophie's always rolling around and starting to really pull her legs up and rock!!!!
she sits if i place in the sitting position but i dont do it often as i want her to learn to do it herself when she learnt to crawl
ANN sorry love i dont have any more suggestions for you!! she knows she can get it straight from you, cheaky girl!!!
-
Same.. mum went out the door when we discovered dad... so we just get dad and bub...trying to get her to say nan now!
Chels loves her tummy... and finally can sit up now!! only taken 7 months!! But loves to roll and crawl funny... gettin so fast...need to invest in some safety gates now
-
Good to hear you're having some success with sleeps Ann, evie put herself to sleep this morning too, but i've found that sometimes i dont want to wait for her to play and keep going back in to put herself to sleep so i rock her, which i so naughty of me i know but sometimes i'm too tired!
-
She can usually put herself to sleep during the day. But the nights are still hard and we have to pat - sometimes for 2hrs! Its tempting to rock her but i think to myself I'm not doing her any favours. If she learns to sleep with me patting then i can keep it up when she gets bigger...
All the bubs in our mother's group are going through some sleep dilema as well. I wonder what's going on during this age..hmmm

Ann glad that you are having some success with Ella's sleep, bugger about not drinking from anythign other then you though. My girlfriend had the same problem when she was returnign to work. in the end it was her DH that had the success in getting her daughter to take the bottle. and it was just through persistence.
Taralee- I hear you on being tired. I think Aston has turned into a clock that has to chime on the hour. well thats how it felt last night!!!! God I hope he sleeps better tonight. I'm dead on my feet today. dh has been home, which has eased the load a bit.
AJP - aston quickly goes from sitting to rolling position, and promptly rolls all over the place. left him the other day to see how far he would go and he made it out the lounge and around the corner into the kitchen funny boy. He is also rocking on all fours, and springing backwards...lol... Loves the jolly jumper too.
Kim, I love your new sig photo. yay, chelsea on sitting. I've been thinking the same thing about hte saftey gates - that and getting an entertainment cabinent that has doors on it!!
Blanche how is the fly in fly out situation going? getting used to it, or does it still stink! hug
Hi gigi, hope tiny bilby is feeling better soon. all three of my kids have a cold at the moment, and DH complained of a sore throat this moprning. touch wood I havent got it, but I think my back and knee make up for that!!
So Christy, did you play up? or was your big night, being up and down to Jovie? I can't remember the last night I misbehaved....has to be way overdue I think!
Well my back is still sore, back to physio tomorrow. I doon't think the fact that I had to hold our 30 odd kg puppy on my lap this morning as we dashed off to the vet to see to his cut paw, helped. Never a dull moment in this house. He had to have a general so they could look at it, Dh is on his way to go and pick him up now. Poor darling. so its all sick and sore in this house at the moment! and just to add insult to injury its raining... oh joy. so the house looks like a laundromat!
-
Spoke too soon! Damn dont you hate that? Spent over 2.5hrs patting with her crying and grizzling...i ended up rocking
I knew is shouldnt have said anything in my post!!!!

didnt work out with the fly in fly out job, they had said that the longest stint ever would be 3 weeks then he gets up to the site and they say your doing 5 weeks 1 off, DP was furious,we decided it wasnt going to work so he quit he really didnt want too but he just couldnt be away tha long. luckly he has picked up another job ! i was pretty happy that he was home!! we decided if he gets another fly in fly out job it will have to be only 2 & 1

Thats great Blanche! that must be a load off your mind. my sil's dh works on the rigs and is out for 2 back for 1 and their first baby is due any day now, so i know she's going to find it so hard when he goes back..i really feel for her!
Dont you hate that Ann! it's always the way! Everytime I think 'hmm evie's been asleep awhile, i better check on her' she's awake like 2 minutes later...everytime without fail!
Hope tomorrow sees some relief for you Vicky. i'm dead on my feet today too, and ive been having 'monthly' cramps although thought af would come 2 weeks ago, but it's only my 2nd one so who knows...and i've never been regular...thanks to endo!
DH had to work at 1am last night and didnt get home til lunchtime today so of course he's buggered and i cant complain that i'm tired when i get to be at home and he's driving up to brisbane at all hours to make money for the family!
we mothers really are the unsung heroes arent we!
i just said to dh i need a day at a spa and he said 'i'll organise it as soon as this week's over' but i cant justify something like that when we're living on baked beans!! (not quite but u know)....so tempting though (the spa..not the beans!!!)

I meant to ask, also. Everyone seems to have been or are planning to go to sleep clinics. I dont want this to come out the wrong way but is that because you think there's something wrong or because you want solutions to sleep? Is it because you think baby should be sleeping through the night?
I'm just curious because I had never heard of sleep clinics until recently. Like I said I'm reading a really interesting book at the moment called Helping your Baby Sleep - Why gentle techniques work best. By Anni Gethin & Beth Macgregor I would really recommend it. Even though I was before - ive found im even more compassionate now when evie wont sleep or wakes up than before reading.
Not saying that everyones sleep problems can be cured by a book! im not having a go at anyone or anything, i'm just asking and informing YKWIM :)
