i just bought an ergo yesterday! whoops spending more money!!! and a new night nappy as well!!!
really should be sewing have lots of orders to do!!! including one for miss christy!!!
-
Nelly - thanks for the advice. I'm feeling heaps better but now DH has the bug. He's been up vomiting every 30mins - poor thing. Gave him some ice blocks to suck on and he felt better.
Ella's water intake is much better a few more wet nappies. I wish she would guzzle water too but she's a sipper.
Vicky - I'd love to be Ann again too. have a great time ;)
Ella threw up again last night. Not sure what it is this time... Otherwise we're good. We're busy packing and Ella hates the sound of the stickytape and cries when we use it. So we're packing in the hallway outside our apartment. ;)
Funny girl.
Ann
-
aww ann i hope the bug passes you all soon!!!! tell it to bugger off!!!
poor ella and the sticky tape !! must hurt her little ears
-

OMG i'm soooooo tired today!!! have so much sewing to do but cant get motivated.
i'm stalking the postman too as i'm waitinfv for several packages to arrive and i'm getting impaitient!!!!!
off to swimming today which sophie loves!!! wears both of us out!!
DH got a bonus yeaterday!!! $5500 after tax woohoo!!!!!
-
Yikes! I feel like I've been gone for years!!! This move is an absolute nightmare. DH is on a full-time roster, which is 13 hour days so on his one day off last Friday he hired a truck and moved everything out of the house. now i'm trying get all the little things done with evie on my own! it's so hard and i am so over it. plus at the IL's house where we are now I cant put Evie down anywhere without having to stay with her. So i am going a little loopy!!
On the solids front - unbelieveable! she eats everything!!! its great!! shes having yogurt and muesli for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and whatever we have for dinner. I have been buying jarred stuff cos its a bit hard for me to cook proper dinners for us at the moment!
Sleeping's going a bit better, she has a stretch of about 4 hours at first but then still wakes every 2-3 hours for the rest of the night.
anyways, she wont go down for her nap at the mo - ive been trying for 45 mins!
will try and catch up with everyone soon! back to packing for me!
-
Oh thats great Tara.... Chelsea now eats nothing but mashed potato..:(
-
ann -Hope ur DH gets well soon and Ella...Emelia was the same whn we moved hated to sound of the tape lol
Tara -good to hear Evie eating well!
-
we are back to waking through the night..arghh so she was in bed with me all night last night, its the only way we can both get sleep! so poor DP in spare room lol
-
Kim Jake has only eaten mashed pumpkin with couscous and pork this week - that's all he'll have and maybe some yoghurt after. So much for a varied diet!
-
Oh yeah we have yoghurt and jar fruit too.... but give her anything else and she refuses it.
-
*hugs* Kim maybe there's alot for her going on and is choosing to use her power towards eating?? Matilda did that from a young age... refused to eat over and over again. She still does it now
Ann I hope thing improve!!
AJP take your time ;) I'm a patient woman, and I would love some links :)
Me.... well Jovie & I drove up the coast for a lovely relaxed coffee/picnic with Aston & Vicky!!! We've been trying to catch up for weeks, but aside from it starting with both of us being a bit vague, we got there in the end!! & it was a lovely beautiful morning.
I'm excited about having DH home tomorrow, Ekka day (for the non-QLDers its a public holiday that Brissy gets for the Royal Brisbane Show). So we hope to go down to the water for a picnic & play in the park... hopefully relaxing.
-
christy glad you and vicky had a great day!!!! i'm hopefully up in feb so we;ll have to organise a catch up
iam sewing today well not right now :P, but getting there!!!
tara things are hard when bubs is not in familiar surrondings!
-
Christy, have a great day tomorrow..i went there when i went around australia, had an awesome day!! wish we all could have met up today!
wish i could learn to sew i was hopless in highschool LOL
-
Hi everyone,
I had a lovely morning today with Christy and Jovie. Jovie is absolutely delightful, and has a laugh that is contagious. Aston and her were so funny together, chatting away. Took Christy and I a while to actually meet up!!(thank goodness she is such a patient woman!)
Hope the move for both Tara and Ann is over quickly, and that you both recover from it quickly as well. I think that makes quite a few of us now that have moved since our bubs have been born! What on earth are we thinking!!!
-
Hi all!
We had a better day - the rash has gone down thank goodness but only one sleep!
Very tired going to bed see you all tmrw - hope the nights are good.
xxx
-
nelly glad the rash has gone!!!
aarrhhhhh when has my sleeping girl gone!!! i think she's grwoing up :( wouldnt have a sleep this arvo, was more fun crawling around the cot!!!
-
Well ive had a crap day. Went to a friends house for tea last night, they thought they bought lamb...but was in fact pork...and i react to it....:(
SO was up all night with stomach cramps and spewy feeling. Chelsea slept all night too..bugger.
This morning Craig had to go into the city, so he took Chels with him so i could get a bit of a sleep. Feel bit better now....Chels even had a 2 hour nap this arvo!! But still not eaten much other then a jar of custard and her 3 milks so far.
Any one in here use Facebook?
-
Kim - eww i hate that sick feeling.
AJP - Its just a phase. Once they know how to sleep i think they can do it (if there isnt any distraction)
Nelly- glad to hear the rash has gone.
Tara - Gezzz we're in the process of moving. Half of our stuff is in boxes and we live in a cardbox jungle. The lawyers are stuffing around not doing what they're suppose to do. argggghhh but finally we're going to be moving on friday. Its all hands on deck. DH has the day off, our inlaws are coming to help take Ella for a walk while my FIL is installing blinds etc...
So much to do. DH is much better but the latest victim is my MIL. She must have caught it when she came to care for Ella this week. I feel so bad for her. She's be vomiting and she has a black eye and a huge bump on her head....long story. So i took Ella into work today - BIG MISTAKE.
She's really clingy at the moment and wanted me to hold her the whole time. Really grizzly - i think its her teeth. Ah well such is the life of a working mum.
Ann
-
Well its official - Aston has finally mastered crawling forward!! Yay!!!. in the last week he has learnt how to get himself up into sitting from the crawling position, and now managed to crawl forward. He too has been fussing with that afternoon sleep, preferring to crawl around the cot, and push himself up to sit! cheeky monkey.
Hope your feeling better Kim. Not fun.
Good luck with the move Ann, hopefully by Sunday you will be in your new home, and can stop for a bit.
Glad the rash is gone Nelly - hopefully the germs have left your house for good now!
It is trying desperately to rain here. I wish it would, we need to top the water tanks up... might have to go and do a rain dance... lol
-
Congrats for learning how to crawl Aston!! WTG!
Bad luck on the pork KimBaz. I actually signed up for FaceBook last night, so i could look at the Cloth ROcks page.
Hope you get a good sleep Nelly
All the best with the last half of moving Luua.
I stopped struggling with the solids today, trying to get them into bilby, think i'll try her again in a week. The fight three times a day, to get her to eat such a tiny amount, just wasn't worth it. Just have to stop listening to the people who put pressure on me about solids, water and breastfeeding (How much longer are you going to feed her etc etc". Grrrr, she's only 9 months old, what is the big deal?
-
hhhooooooorrrraaaaaayyyyyy!!!!
We slept through from 6.15 to 5.40 this morning, and I did too! Gosh I feel like a new woman. We overcame some of our eating issues last night too - Jake doesn't want to eat off a spoon, he wants to feed himself! So steamed a chicken breast and some pumpkin and he ate that plus some toast fingers and then pear and yoghurt for dessert (which I had to feed him!). Then this morning he ate a whole piece of toast before I gave him his cereal - yay my garbage guts is back!
We've started to cruise the furniture in little steps too - all these things happening to our babies! Aston is on the move too and all the others are all growing up!
gigi - bilby will eat when she is ready just try her on a little bit once a day when you are both having fun and are relaxed and then suddenly one day she will yell at you for more and you'll never look back!
good luck girls with moving, work, sleeping and eating and all the stupid illness going around!
xxxxx
-
Yay Nelly!! Hopefully there will be lots more of those kind of nights from here on in. Aston slept from 7 til 4.20am without any settling in between. So I got 6 hours!! which was much needed as I have been feeling extremely tired and run down. I still haven't gone and had the blood test that I need to do, so I have to do it Monday no matter what!! I woke up to hear aston chatting away, and then heard his mobile going! Wnet into his room and he was sitting up, playing with it! It is now off the cot until we move the base down to the next level. He is so funny because he is convinced he can stand like the rest of us, and will let go of everything and anyone when he is in the standing. Going to quick isn't it??
-
VICKY sophie did the same with the mobile so we moved it too, we too moved the bed down as she is starting to pull herself up , although she didnt have a sleep yesterday arvo she slept from 6.45 to 4, then feed and slept til 7.30, i've just put her down again and decided to leave it up to her to put herself to sleep with out me going in and tucking her back in, only took 1/2hr which is pretty good. still miss the days of putting her in and sleeping straight away.
GIGI i would worry either about the water, sophie does have it at meal times but only so i can get her used to it, as for b/feeding tell them all to bugger off!!!!! solids, that takes time sophie on still occasionally eats brekky, 3 cubes for lunch fruit in the arvo, 4 cubes for tea with custard and fruit for dessert, so not too much, but favourites here are avocado, avocado and tune and the hienz custard powder mixed with EBM.
NELLY wow you do have a good eater on your hands!!! i wish!!!
ANN good luck hun!!!! have fun with the move, it will all be worth it!!!
KIM hows the tum tum going????
-
We had a great night 7pm -7am woo hoo..i think i figured out why she was waking every hour, its because she likes to roll onto her side, and then she isnt tucked in and gets cold...because when she comes into my bed she goes straight to sleep and doesnt roll onto her side. so last night i put a light bodysuit, winter bodysuit, sleeping bag and then she had her mink blanket on. she was so rugged up and warm that she was still tucked in this morning!! see how we go tonight :)
Vicky - wtg Aston, how cute him playing his own mobile hehe we had to take Emelia's out too. it is going to quick...soon all our bubs will be running around! glad u got some sleep to hun.
Ajp - i miss putting bub to bed and her going straight to sleep. i also miss her falling asleep in my arms, now she just wants to pull my hair and poke my eyes when i hold her! :(
Nelly - whoa Jake is a little eating machine isnt he !! glad hes back eating lots.
Gigi - tell everyone to go jump!!
hows everyone else going??
-
OMG Blanche look at your ticker... how cute is that pic!!!!!
Tummy here is much better today....still a little upset tho...keeping the toilet paper companies in business...lol! Now i just have a baby who shoves their feet into my ribs... so i push them down....and bub kicks back twice as hard in punishment!! Hurry up October!!!!
Chelsea slept 830pm-9am....then went down for a 2 hour nap! Had a few naps yesterday too....
-
I just put aston down to sleep, and 10 mins later he was still chatting away. went in to check on him, and he is kneeling in the cot, haning on to the bars, with a massive grin on his face. cheeky monkey. we have been playing all morning, with me hiding behind the coffee table, while he crawls around looking for me. I love this age, they are delightful (that and the extra sleep helps a whole lot :) )
My whinge for the day is people who have NO kids, and have NO idea that spontaniety went out the window with the sex that created the baby that consumes 99.9 percent of my time, and if I am going to do something like have a party at my house for my brother in law's 30th party that I need more then 24 hours notice to get everything together!!! arghhhhh - sorry having slight anxiety attack at the thought of all I need to do before tomorrow night (as she sits here procrastinating on the computer!!) DH says "don't worry about it - ask Laura and Nathan to stay home from school and they can help you." god give me strength!
-
ah Vicky people with no kids have no idea how hard it is to do anything... let alone clean your house!!! I got my new macbook and I've had 15 minutes on it playing so far because I can't sit down today :( crazy kids.... not sleeping. Jovie only slept 10 minutes today so far :( :( ratbag... I think its this new mobility thing, they roll over & instead of going back to sleep they hop up & chat thinking its hilarious... so not. I got my new fridge and washing machine today & all I want to do is play with them & load the washing machine up but I can't even read the "how to" book today without interruptions and screaming. Matilda's in her room screaming about something  she's screamed for most of the day again... I wish I had some clue with her what is going on. I know its something, but I can't figure it out myself... (stupid xray eyes & mind reading not working atm) :P
-
thanks Kim!! glad ur feeling better today.
Hugs Vicky, hope u get things done, tell DH to stay home and do it all hehe...
Aston sounds so cheeky, Emelia and him would get along great ahaha!
i love this age too, they are getting so darn clever!
-
Oh Vicky.. that sucks! Cant the party be somewhere else? As for making the kiddies stay home from school...hmmm.....i thought education was a tad more important!!
Life is tough some days... and i agree... people with no kids, have NO idea on life once a child is in the mix!
-
vicky those smiles are priceless arnt they!!! cheeky boy!!!
bought sophie a percusion set from aldi this morning and she's busy shaking maraccas, jiggle sticks, arhhh the noise!!! bargin though for $30, 13 toys!!!
-
oooh ajp I should go have a look!
-
dont have Aldi over here :( sounds great though, great price too! bet ur regretting it now lol
-
awww thats not fair blanche!!
NELLY not quiet 13 toys, more like 13 peices but still a fair few, there all wooden as well, also bought a wooden train set for $20!!! i think i had more fun sophie just laughed
-
can I just say I love everyone's photos, and how they all change and we can see the cuties as they grow up.... makes me feel like a part of a community / family!
sorry if that's too gushy but that's just me!
-
They are all gorgeous. They are such little people each so different. Ella love hanging out with her little buddies from mother's group. She's grown up with them and their mothers. Such a privilege watching them grow. :)
Might check out our nearest Aldi for that toy ;) Ella loves her instruments and DH plays his guitar and she loves it.
We'll the big move is tomorrow. Fingers crossed things go well. So much needs to happen....
Ann
-
oh AJP I saw those in the catalogue and was telling MAtilda's FDC carer to have a look for them, we have half of the intruments already, but may have to get the set because it looks pretty good.
-
goodluck ann and have fun:P
NELLY we do make cute bubs!!!!
CHRISTY, pretty happy with the instruments!!! sophie loves to chew on them!!
-
*sigh* you know I do jinx myself....
everytime I celebrate sleeping we have a crap night.... not only Jake waking (only twice) but DH has flu and has been coughing and hacking all night.
gawd!! I have a girly shopping night tonight with my GF whose bridesmaid I am in 5 weeks so need to nap this arvo - have wasted this morning's nap time surfing the net.... bad nelly!
how are we all today?
-
Whew! I think I am finally coming back to the land of the living. Our old house is still a pig sty (?) and this house is a mess but the end is finally in sight!!
Evies back to waking every 2 hours despite going well on her solids. She just keeps rolling over and waking herself up in the night, i try not to feed to sleep but she just gets more and more awake so i end up feeding her for my own sanity and sleep's sake.
DH has finally said i dont need to go back to work! woo-hoo! so i guess when i get up in the night i dont have to worry about going to work the next day like a zombie. not suggested being at home isnt work...actually Dr Phil said being a stay-at-home mum is the equivalent of working 2 full time jobs. gotta love that guy.
anywhos, back to unpacking and such. madam's meant to be having a sleep but i can hear her playing away in her cot *sigh and count to 10*
BTW are those instruments at Aldi already? I turned down the job at aldi so i'll have to go to a different store. *teehee*
-
TARA i had a beer for us last night:P!!! glad the move went ok and that you dont have to work!!!!!!!!!!
