Chelsea goes down easy at night. Woke at 1130 last night for 10 mins then back to sleep and never woke til 9am!!
During the day she can go up to 4-6 hours between a nap...and thats hard! But she has just gone down now for a nap. But i usually try put her down every 3 hrs if she sleeps, great, if not i get her up and when she is tired she goes down.
Tara, last night it took an hour & half to get Jovie to sleep :( We have the added bonus of when Jovie finally falls asleep, Matilda often chooses that moment to run in screaming
Jovie only has one nap a day, no matter if she's tired, sometimes she's tired in the morning & I put her down thinking "yay! a 2 nap day" and blah... she sleeps 2 hours in the morning and then nothing more until night.
sophie goes down easily at night too, but during the day varies so much, she was up at 6.30 this morning and went back down at 8.45 for 45 mins, im holding her out at the moment but i will put her down around 1, she usually lasts around 3 hours but can vary between 2-4
christy i hope you feel better soon!
kim i think you should wave some timtams at you whop whop to get bubs to come out!!!
beautiful day here today is 25 light breeze with nappies drying in the wind, lovely!!
i cnat beielve how much fun one little girl can have with an empty 2 litre coke bottle!! she loves it, cheap entertainment
ROFLMAO @ waving timtams...it could have the adverse effect and get hubby interested tho! not what she wants at the moment Jols!
& I just noticed the pic of Sophie...the laughs just keep on coming
I've also got empty coke bottles filled with shampoo and glitter which is fun and so is water, food colouring and oil thats also cool...and cheap!
PMSL tara :cryinglaugh: !!!!
sophie presses her face up gainst the glass very cute!!!
we also have bottle with rice and anothr with pasta spiral, must try the oil one, how do you do that one???
Emelia too goes down well at night..she usually goes back to sleep after 3-4 hours in the morning for a 2 hour sleep then will be up for another 3-4hours!
crappy weather here today, cant hang no washing out!
oooohhh blanch are you excited about tomorrow!!!!!
oh Blanche I hope everything goes really well tomorrow.
Okay will have to get out the plastic bottles girls!! I forgot about those!! Jovie's very into Matilda's toys so I haven't had to do much, but her favourite toy is the dogs water bowl.
This morning I was in the toilet (it always happens while I'm on the toilet!) & I found Jovie on the verandah with mud around her mouth and hands and clothes, then I realised... it wasn't mud. It was dog poo!!!! One of the dogs pood on the verandah this morning & I didn't realise it & Jovie found it! It was full of mulberries so was purple in colour & jovie was purple faced!
So me totally sick from my cold picked jovie up and pulled her into the bath, pulled all her clothes off while gagging & popped her in the bath only to have her poo in the bath!!!
I called DH in tears saying "I'm covered in poo, but I can't smell it, but I'm still gagging!" he just got home & said "is that poo still on your shirt?" and yep... it is.
ah well... being a mother is so well paid ;)
sorry christy but :cryinglaugh: as gross as that is, that is soooooo funny!! that is my biggest fear that sophie will find a land mine in the backyard, imagine what you would have been like if you nose wasnt blocked!!
LOL Tara and Jols....Craig needs no encouragement atm let alone with Timtams to!! :P Sorry TMI!
Chels is another fan of empty bottles....and popper straws....entertains her for hours, and the feather duster.
Eww Christy....that wouldnt have been nice....i can smell it from here. My stomach would sure be getting a work out if it had been me there!!
Good luck tomorrow Blanche!!
oh Christy ... the joys of motherhood... if it makes you feel any better - aston regularly poos in the bath and at the moment changing pooey nappies are so much fun!! they are absolutely horrid in smell, and stickyy and revolting - I ended up getting poo on someone-s lounge the other day - that was WITH the change mat under him!!! Aston likes to eat bugs - ****aroches, moths, anything he can find really... says alot about my housekeeping skills doesn't it!!! even if I do manage to vacuum once a day, he still finds them!!
Jols - cheap and cheerful "toys" are the ones they love the best eh? The empty tissue box, and the empty roll from the glad wrap have been winners in this house, as well as the soft drink bottles filled with colour water and dish soap... tried the oil one but didn't work...Tara - how do you do it?
Aston is wanting to draw now, so I am off to buy washable crayons and coloured chalk. As soon as he sees me with a pen, he wants a turn! All that pickng up bugs has paid off it seems lol
EWWW Christy. I would have been horrified as well! did you give your lots of water ahhhgh i cant think about it.
Vicky - Aston and Sophie could have a moth banquet! haha.
Tara - Ella goes to sleep easily (we're very lucky) and stays up for 3-4hr each time.
Kim - poor thing. I hated the waiting too. everthing was just painful - sleeping, sitting, eating (reflux) walking....
New tricks for ella...she puts her toy balls into her box, she shakes her head for "no" and nods for "yes" and recently she opens her cap on her water bottle and sips away on the straw - so funny she just does it like as if she had always done it.
AJP - i love looking at that pic of sophie - makes me LOL.
Ann
Fill bottle with 3/4 cup of water, add couple of drops of food colouring and 1/4cup oil. when you lay it on its side the oil and water separate and when you slosh it around you get a 'wave' in a bottle.
it just looks perrrrdy
Thanks Ladies..im very excited will let u know how i go :D
Christy - all i have to say is ewww i would have vomited everywhere!!! Emelia's favourite thing is the cats water bowl and biscuit bowl!!
Blanche - looking forward to hearing about the scan... can't believe its that time already..,this pregnancy is flying!!
Kim- how you doing today hun?
Tara - thanks for the recipe, will have a go of it and see if it works this time.
Christy - have you recovered from the "poo" episode?
Nelly - HUGS!!! and lots of them. I hope Jake is feeling a little better today. I meant to ask you yesterday do you have a vaporiser? that helps a lot.
Ann - This morning Aston had a MOTH so big that him and Sophie could have shared it!
Jols - sophie added anymore bugs to her menu yet?
My turn for a mummy brag... Aston is feeding himself with a spoon - will dip it in the bowl, and put it in his mouth. very cute, very messy, but he is wanting to do everything himself... independent little mister. so i have a spoon, and he has a sppon and we take turns... breakfast goes on for a while...lol. He is also putting shapes into the shape sorter and we make a game of putting his bath toys away too... growing up too quick!!! Words - ello, Dog, roarra (laura), mumma, dad, Yay, no... and a whole lot of other stuff that I can't understand! I swear he does not shut up when he is awake.
I'm off today to visit a friend with a baby boy who is 6mths. we are using Aston as a guinea pig to help her identify what needs to be baby proofed.,.lol..
have a good day all
xx
