Eating... Good loves her food!!
Sleeping... we have mostly good days and nights now sleeping through again
Walking/running....never stops, had to chase her down the driveway this morning!!
Nappies....need to start buying more mcn
House.... cleanish did a big clean yesterday
might try some egg soon
aston has been having egg for a while...it happened inadvertently, DH didn't realise that it was a wait til they are one thing...and as Aston has been wanting to eat our food, he gave him quiche. he showed no reaction, and hasnt since. thank goodness!
report cards!! what the!! rip them up right now girls. do you have a precious amazing individual in your care that you are helping to become a person, with integrity, morals, value system, compassion, caring, confident.... that is all that matters. all the rest is piecemeal. reach over and pat yourselves on the back. you doing amazing things!
we had dinner at Inlaws tonight and Emelia was playing happily, then she went over and went to open the bottom draw in the kitchen and MIL said no, (ok fair enough) but then she slapped her on the hand....excuse me WTF but no way does anyone do that to MY child, i dont even do that..how would u feel? am i overreacting??
i didnt say anything to her (i think she seen the disgusted look on my face though) but when we left i told DP and he didnt seem bothered by it, but i was/am furious...how hard is it to pick her up remove her from wat she is doing say no and then distract her with something else. just gives me another reason y i will never ever leave her with them
ok rant over
i would be furious Blanche. DH is use to her discipline. If she saw your face and your reaction i dont think she would do that again.
Vicky - great words. A lot of the time its hard to see the bigger picture. I'm not going to be complaining about the tanties (well not this week)
ann
Ann, our bubs are exactly the same weight, bilbs feet are small too, she's on the 2nd lowest line on that percentile chart thingy.
Blanchie, i am so worried about my parents and how they might treat bilby, that they dont' know where we live and even that bilby exists, it's how i can keep her safe, and why i don't use her or my real name online. (in case you thought TinY Bilby was a irritating nickname, it's actually for a good reason).
Housework reportcard? i'm not telling cos it's just too dreadful!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMELIA
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASTON
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA
Ann, what a compliment your boss doesn't want you to leave! even if you still go, i hope him offering your inducements is good for your confidence, you ARE valued to him then, even if it sounds like he didnt let you know it UNTIL you threatened to leave!!!
Christy, do you have a decent collection of night nappies? does your dh know how to use them, put them on Jovie? We have an unopened pack of green sposies, but no matter what has happened, dh has never opened them. I leave the NIGHT NAPPIES basket stocked up, so there is always something in there for him to put on bilby. He likes the bamboo ones the best. What size is Jovie? can she undo aplix?
Glad you've all reminded me about the egg thing, i must try bilby with scrambled eggs.
thanks for all your good ideas.
:confetti: :happybirthday: ASTON!!! :happybirthday: :confetti:
:confetti: :happybirthday: CHELSEA!!! :happybirthday: :confetti:
grrrrr feel like failure mummy when I read what some of the bubs are eating now - we seem to have just hit a wall and can't get past into varied foods... won't eat cucumber, tomato, cheese ..... eats peanut paste sandwiches until the cows come home ... my fault have fallen into the rut f giving him what I know he will eat .. just a good dose of mummy guilt passing through
:happybirthday: Aston!! :confetti:
:happybirthday: Chelsea!! :confetti:
i can't believe my baby boy is one! feeling a little sad, and a little excited.... I think because aston is my last 'baby' and this last year has gone soooooooooo incredibly fast. I feel like I blinked, and we went from newborn to running toddler.
He is such a delightful little person. Its funny, because each stage he has entered, i reflect on Laura and Nathan, and how far they have come. I searched out photos of them on their first birthdays... how big and grown up they are now. Birthdays always make me very reflective...looking backwards and forwards at the same time.
My daughter turns 12 in 5 weeks....far out!!!
Blanche you have every right to feel P!ssed off at MIL. Emelia is YOUR daughter, and how you and DF choose to discipline and teach her things is your RIGHT as her parents. she crossed a boundary honey, and if your able to you need to make her aware that how she does things, is not how YOU do things with emelia... not right or wrong, just different... silly bloody woman, doesn't she realise that she will be the one to loose out???
:happybirthday: Happy Birthday Aston :happybirthday:
:happybirthday: Happy Birthday Chelsea :happybirthday:
Have a wonderful day!!
Blanche, i felt angry for you!! maybe she feels guilty tho and thought at the time she did what you would do..i'm not defending her, because i would be upset too, just wondering why someone could think they could smack a child, let alone one that isnt theirs.
Well, a successful night of no feeds, but still wakeups...but she did have a 38 fever, and has it again now this morning. i'm positive its teeth. but she was happy to have a little sip from her milk cup and go back to sleep. what a champ. i only gave her one bf at 430 this morning cos she was so tired and screamy i didnt want to wake up everyone by going to the kitchen for milk
woohoo tara... i give aston his first feed anytime after 4am... I just decided that was the time that I would get too, and then he could have a morning feed... not sure why I made it that time, guess because the sun comes up not long after that.
thanks for the birthday wishes girls
Happy Birthday Aston!!!
Happy Birthday Chelsea!!!
nelly sweet, don't worry too much about what others are eating. Jovie loves tomatoes and things like that but Matilda still won't touch a raw vegetable except carrot... we are venturing out to celery but only if the dip is good ;) Jovie will eat everything, Matilda... barely eats. They are all individual I haven't changed the way I prepare baby food, I haven't introduced things differently. They are all different and have different tastes. Okay?? *mwa*
Vicky you are right.... will rip up that report card. I am not worried about much... except when I have to wipe my child down & dress them on the doorstep they are so dirty LOL.
Gigi - night MCN's, DH always says "I forgot" I have heaps of BBH bamboo nappies with bamboo night boosters, I have night longie soakers... I have showed him how to put them on.... he STILL puts a sposie on. And in the middle of the night if he changes her & I've put on a MCN he'll put on a sposie. Its okay by me. We go through a pack of 50 disposables in 2 months. So thats not bad, what used to be a weekly thing....
Jovie is loving pushing things around the house. SUddlenly she's more brave with it & pushes the little plastic car or pram up & down the hall into the girls room & back. She still won't let go and walk but thats okay... I'm very happy with her taking her time.
Happy birthday Aston!
Happy birthday Chelsea!
Thanks Christy you know how you go through moments of mummy doubt....
I know Nelly *hugs* just want you to know you are a fantastic mummy!!!
Argh... Jovie had 30 minutes sleep this morning & will not have another nap :( I've got such bad cramps I wish I could take something more than panadol.
Having bit of a blah day today, Emelia has been very whingy and hard to get down to sleep, im thinking more teeth on the way, at least we had a few weeks break!!
how many teeth do they actually get? silly question i know!!but i have no idea
20 baby teeth blanche!!
oh crap 14 more to go :(
LOL Well we have 10 so 10 more :( man thats alot....
Hang on, Matilda only has 16!!!
christy she still awaiting her back molars!!
evie's temp has been up and down all day. she was in bed and asleep at 6 tonight after a cool shower and good dose of nurofen. i'm kinda getting a bit worried about these temps all the time. like ive said, i'm positive its teeth but my poor baby! its too much for a teeny weeny bean
teeth are crap
can I share some exciting news - no I'm not pg ....
This is my second week as a Tupperware lady and have had a HUGE week and am taking home $1100 commission. Holy goodnight batman.
Thank you Vicky for giving me the guts to try it.
WTG Nelly!!! thats excellent, my ex manager does it now too and she loves doing it and the extra cash!!!
Poor Evie baby, i hate teeth too, they stuff everything up...hope u have a good night. wat have u got planned for her birthday tomorrow?
its DP birthday tomorrow as well he is taking the day off..he thinks he deserves it...which he does!!
Woowoo Nelly - what will you do with the extra dosh!?
Happy birthday to your DP Blanche.
Ella has 9 teeth now. (so a bit lop sided)
Its 9pm and ella is still not asleep! it takes her so long to settle to sleep now. These days it takes her 30mins to fall asleep. I wonder if i should have a longer quiet time before bed...
Maybe a silly question but is there any benefit in giving them milk if its in their food already?
Ann
Evie has a party planned for saturday which barely anyone is coming to now and its meant to rain so i am a bit peeved. i've been a bit half assed about it :( i just didnt think it would come round so fast!
Good job nelly!
hi all...
have had a lovely day today with my one year old boy. shed a tear at 11.04 when he was born... bitter sweet tears...
my username has changed in case your wondering...
btw I have put new photos on facebook if anyone wants to have a look.
i have a date now for surgery...17th of december. at least with a date I can hang on a little longer I think, are ready to perform it myself at the moment!
glad u had and the birthday boy had a great day!! hope u wont be into much pain for much longer hun, not to far away now.
I changed my username too..nothing exciting!!
Vicky - i hope the surgery comes around quickly for you!
Nelly - bilby eats far less foods than any baby on this thread, so don't worry, your baby is not the worst by far. She is still on pureed food, more like what a six month old eats. Won't have a bar of any finger food. I am so sick of spooning fruit puree, custard and yogurt into her. Even pureed veg is a battle! (without custard being added!!).
We had our first bath together last night, it went quite well, she delights in splashing the water and trying to pick up the water. I was worried how i would cope with the lifting and holding, but it went ok, we actually enjoyed it. DH lifted her out, so that made it do-able. Don't worry, she has been washed in the last year, but always by dh in the shower.
Lovely to hear about the birthdays. taralee, i hope the people that DO come to Evie's party, make it a lovely time. We only had three people who "popped in", not an official real party, and only having a small number was quite good - less stress for me anyways.
i'm just relieved to have gotten thru the last year to tell the truth!
WOnderful news about the Tupperware earnings, that's great.
:confetti: :happybirthday: EVIE!!!!!!! :happybirthday: :confetti:
hope you have a lovely day!!!
 Happy birthday to Evie!!!
Give Mummy a nice sleep for her birth day!
Happy BIrthday Evie!!
TMI WARNING: Urgh this stupid AF isn't happening, I've had 3 days of yuck yuck cramping bordering on very painful & nothing. Its like living in that first day of your AF and it not changing. I am bloated & cranky & generally urgh. The pain is getting worse day by day... and nothing. When I had the u/s when Jovie was 5 weeks it showed a large cyst on my ovary... I wonder if thats whats going on? Also I think I had a touch of endo prior to having Matilda now I know more about endo... maybe thats whats going on?? Before I had Matilda I had 7-10 days of extreme flow and the first 2-3 days were horrible, I would have to have serious drugs & would be laid out on the bed with heat packs & would vomit and be in awful pain. Now I'm feeling close to the same, but nothings flowing....
:confetti: :happybirthday: Evie :happybirthday: :confetti:
have a great day!!!
Im off to make DP his birthday breakfast
i dont know much about endo, but could that be blocking the "exit" for the blood?????? can endo grow over the cervix?????
id go to the dr if i were you
:happybirthday:  Happy Birthday to Baby Evie! :happybirthday:
Where did the time go?!?!
evie decided to start birthday celebrations around 1, after being up 5 times before that, and carried on to about 4, when she slept for and hour and a half after some panadol. but having said that, no night feeds and she just put herself to sleep now. in the cot during the day with me just standing next to the cot.
My poor baby just isnt herself with these nasty teeth and i miss her happy ways
Sounds like endo to me Christy thats all the symptoms i've had... :( i hope it isnt for your sake tho!
happy birthday Evie!!! have a fabulous day, and give mummy lots of hugs and kisses.
Christy, everything you are describing is what I go through. I would be making an appointment for the doctor. sometimes with endo if it is on your ovaries, you can be bleeding there, and have no AF... you need to have an ultrasound to begin with...its horrid I know. Its where I am at the moment, in the part of my cycle where the pain is intense, and the only drugs that mask the pain also knock me out, so I only tend to take them when there is someone else home...in the mean time I grit my teeth and get crankier and crankier. I had the opportunity to have surgery on Monday as there was a cancelation...only problem was that the logistics of ME being able to get there for it was a nightmare...when you have three kids, and no family on hand to call on you need to have a least a couple of weeks to organise stuff...so I will just have to hang out til the 17th.
i'm feeling really crap today, I ran out of my script for AD, and so are having that washout feeling which I hate. Hopefully in 20mins it will start to subside, as I have taken them after getting the script filled this morning. plus a very close friend, aston's godmother, is being investigated for cancer in the salivary glands... she has three boys 10, 6 and 5... it is looking very much like it is cancer, will know more on Monday after a cat scan and consultation with ENT guy...He wants her to have the growth removed ASAP. I keep saying to her, we can only live one day at a time, and get to the next step, which at the moment is getting to Monday, and then go from there, but I feel so incredibly helpless, and afraid. Why do bad things happen to good people? She is one of the most courageous amazing women I know... She is more a sister to me then my real sister... :(
Happy Birthday Evie!!!
Man the drive was long, Jasmine was a handful, Chelsea..an angel :)
Today Mum made Chelsea's cake and we decorated it....wow it looks lovely. Cant wait to get home so i can post some pics for u all to see. Party is tmrw :)
Vicky glad you have a date for surgery..i hope it goes well.
:( Vicky I don't know how you live in this pain all the time. Its totally depleted me & I'm so exhausted just from having it all day long.
Kim I can't wait to see the cake! How exciting.
I'm going to try to find a GP to help me out, our GP is hopeless... and I think I can find one that will help, just have to look.
kim glad you arrived safely. have a great party!
Christy - i don't know how I live with it either! I'm pretty hard to live with at the moment actually...pain makes you so cranky. good luck finding a doctor...sooner rather then later hun.
You poor ladies dealing with Endo. Is medication the only option?
Kim - Glad you made it OK. Cant wait to see the cake.
Tara - Happy birthday Evie.
We're going well. Ella ate too much again today and had a mini puke. Getting our roller blinds put in tomorrow- cant wait. its been like an oven inside even though its only 22 outside.
Ann
Well we had a miss grizzle-pants all day until this afternoon when she finally picked up. it's the happiest i've seen her in days! she wasnt terribly interested in opening presents this morning but nevermind, she had a good day in the end.
Desperately trying to get everything ready for her party tomorrow. i've had so many people say they 'might' come which is so annoying, so i'm sure i've got too much food. we were having it in the park but they've forecast showers for tomorrow so we're having it at ben's parents house...all in all out to be a good day lol i'm soooo organised rofl
