TARA i lived on vegemite saladas, celery and herbal tea for 8 weeks!! i puked EVERY day from 7 weeks til around 15 weeks!! blah not looking forward to that feeling again!!
tara I lived on cheese and crackers, lamb chops and muesli with yoghurt (but not all together lol)for 20 weeks, couldn't stomach vegetables at all... mmm not looking forward to that either...
With Matilda it was plain 9 grain vitawheats and nothing else for ages... oh but I did have red poweraide, I found sipping the poweraide helped all day long. I lost 7 kg in my first trimester. With Jovie I was only sick for a week but it was full on. *hugs*
my sister had all day sickness right up until she gave birth and lived on hot chips and white bread - lol went from a size 6 to 14 made (me feel GREAT) but I still love her and she looks great again (cow)
Poor Jovie hope she is feeling better soon.
im so glad i havent had morning sickness again this time, i feel sorry for you Tara i couldnt imagine m/s with a toddler running around.
Gigi, i would have told that lady where to go!! how rude are some ppl...my cousin (she is a twin) and she has c/p shes 12 next year and she is doing so incredibly well its sad though when ppl stare and whisper :(
well Emelia doesnt like santa haha she screamed as soon as i put her on his lap, got my money back cos there was no way she was sitting still!!! we are going to try again tomorrow but i think she will be the same. oh well theres always next year.
she had her first hair cut today!! just her fringe, kept getting in her eyes
anyone been in the chat room lately?
nah i always froget about it will have to pop in soon!! havent been on for yonks
i just cant stomach anything. im having herbal tea and crackers. my eyes look like they've been making out with sandpaper.
I just cant handle nausea, if it was pain, i could suck it up but nausea...i just cant deal with it so i said to dh that i think this is it, i dont think i can do this again. so we'll probably just be a 2 kiddie family. I dont think i could ever plan to get pg either, i'm glad evie and this bub have been 'surprises' cos i could never put my hand up to be so ill.
Thank goodness i've got MIL she took evie for 2 hours while i slept today and then put her in the bath while i was puking my guts out.
i've just chucked (TMI sorry) and eaten so am feeling ok for the next hour or so, even tho i feel like im on hard core smack. sorry i have read everyone's posts, just a little self-absorbed right now
tara i always chucked right before dinner then eat and be fine!! id also chuck if we had a late night and i was overtired!!
blanche not sure about over there but harvey norman do santa photos for free!! or pay $5 and get about 10 copies! very cheap!!
oooh have to go to HN then for Santa
I used to chuck when I was hungry so learnt to eat really ofter like hourly so control it
Oh Tara - poor thing. I lived no survived on crackers and peppermint tea. Peppermint and ginger is suppose to surpress nausea. So my naturapath says...
Christy - hope you find out what's going on. the pain just HAS to stop!
Nelly - you and I both cant wait to get preggers again. but then again listening to Tara... i might wait a bit longer.
Went to a friend's 1st birthday for Twins! what a year they've had. Tearing up when they gave a speech. We then visited Toy's R Us. Now we've got Ella's present(s) x5 !! got her a ride on trike, book, Fifi forget-me-not doll, and a recorder. What a spoilt girl ;)
Ann
I lived on green apples with Chelsea....M/S wasnt o bad with jasmine so ate what ever!
sorry selfish whinge for a moment just had a shower and a self inspection in mirror as you do....
I loved feeding jake and still do, and I feel the best I have physically in years and am the smallest I have been in years thanks to the bf and an active 1 yo but I WANT MY BOOBS BACK!!!!! I have no boobs left and jsut want my b cup back.. wwaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!
OMG nelly im the same!! i swear they have shrunk more in the past few weeks!!! i started off a Bcup and went to a D- DD! now A-B sad hey
Nelly, if could i would happily give u some of my 'G' cup boobies!! i hate them
AJP, yeah our harvey norman does that too might give them ago, but i love the decorations our centro shops has!! will try tomorrow and see if she will be ok!
Ann, wow Ella is getting spoilt just as she deserves!
I slowly crepy from a C to a DD now since preg with Jasmine!!
Id happily ditch them!
im so hoping i can successfully b/f with this bub and it will be an extra bonus if it helps me loose weight and my boobs!!
i'm back down to an A-B as well... i'm thinking they'll bounce back after bfing...but then i dont know what i'm talking about its just hope!
Wow you girls have been busy!
Christy - how's jovie now hun? sitting at the hospital with a sick child is soooooo much fun! NOT! I hope she is feeling better soon, its horrible when noone can tell you what is wrong.
Tara - oh darling your poor thing. I had horrible morning sickness with Nathan - all day sickness...no make that 24 hour sickness. as soon as my feet hit the floor I was sick or about to be sick... I remember laying on the floor with Laura next to me, dreading having to get dinner. we lived on a lot of rice, crackers, gingerbeer (bunderberg was the only one that kept the nausea at bay, and only while I was drinking it!). With Aston I would wake up ok, and get progressively worse through out the day. I couldn't deal with food at all - and richard did most of the cooking thank god! I know it doesnt help much, but it is a "good" indication that its a "sticky" pregnancy. Hang in there hun.
Boobs - god I wish I could say that mine have shrunk. I have had the opposite - before children I was a nice pert b cup - each child I have gotten bigger. I hate having boobs... It stuffs up what I can wear, and the whole top size is a nightmare. If I get it a top to fit around my boobs, it is big at the back... if I try a top on to that fits my back, I cant do it up across my boobs... of course Rich thinks they are great! Men!
Have had a busy weekend this weekend. was cooking up a storm last night (in between a lovely interuption ;) ) and then had a family gathering today at southbank, which was wonderful. tonight we have had rich's brother and gf here, and I have had a very merry evening drinking champagne...I wonder how my head is gonna be in the morning.
Hope everyone else has had a good night, and enjoys the rest of the weekend. Mwah!
i was C - DD in pregnancy and for first 9 months of bilby's life - now back to C (fitting lady tells me) but i bought the D anyways cos the C one made my cleavage into a big line - and i like to be "separated". ha ha. Most of all i miss the pertness, but i suppose i had the pertness for 20 something years so i should be grateful for that.
Poor Jovie, what a horrible time you had at the hospy Christie!
Sorry to hear about yucko M/s tara and AJP - my commiserations. i can tell you MANY ginger products cos i nibbled ginger this and inger that for four months, the nausea is a rotter! was housebound for four months, too sick to go anywhere. Just opening the fridge, i would feel sick from the food smells, so no food prep, no cooking, coudln't bear to be in the kitchen even. Like you Christy, i lost six kgs, didnt' look very pregnant i can tell you! Thank goodness we made up for it in the last trimester!! and however called it MORNING sickness!!! has rocks in their head!
Yes, pregnancy WITHOUT m/s would be alot more appealing!!!
With Chelsea i was sick from weeks 6-22. With Jasmine weeks 9-17.
Chelsea was 24/7 sickness always vomitting....but just felt sick with Jas and vomitting rarely.
I thought i was gettin away with no sickness the 2nd time...then it struck, but was different so i swore it was a boy.....i was so wrong :(
Found out today my friend is due 19th April with her 3rd BOY....ive asked her for the secret in making boys.. and ill pass on mine for girls..! LOL
hey kim - apparently it isn't a secret - there is actually fact in the madness. its all to do with timing. have you heard of the billings method? its a form of contraception that is all about knowing your cycle, and what your body is doing at a particular time, and while it is used as a "preventative method" there is a whole section about concieving. AND... now I'm not sure how much truth there is in this one but I have been told that men who wear boxers as opposed to undies have a higher incindince of fathering boy babies... like I said I don't know how true or not that one is but - I conceived Nathan after his father started wearing boxers all the time, and Aston's father only ever wears boxers. so.... who knows. As for the billings method, it was how I concieved Nat - ( remember I said in a previous post that he was the only baby that I "planned". Anyway - just a little bit of trivia to pass on... Oh my goodness look at the time. I really need to learn how to fall asleep again...do you think there is a sleep school for mummies that have forgotten how to sleep????
Thanks Vicky. Ive heard of the method but never ever learnt about it. I know when we were TTC Chelsea i had a program on the computer that said DTD on this day and that day to get a boy/girl, when i was least-most fertile etc.....i wasnt getting BFP so i gave up....and then one night )and i swear the day Chelsea was made) my program said mosy fertile for a girl....dammit!!
Then with Jasmine we had no idea, but have been told (not sure hopw true it is tho) that if u conceive within 6 weeks of giving birth u have a high chance of having the same sex....and i did.
Mental note: Make Craig wear boxers!!! :P
ETA: When you find that sleep school for mummies... let me know where it is!! 1.15am...2 kids alseep...1 mummy wide awake!
Sucks doesnt it! Rich is watching Aston Villa on the telly with his brother, and I can intermitent yelling...the kids are all asleep...and I'm WIDE awake...no fair is it??
LOL we did the whole timing thing, special diets & changing what DH wore... we DTD at the right HOUR for a boy & yep I still got a girl!!!
Jovie... well we have the answer!! 3 days of high temps and then yesterday waiting for the wee sample for over 4 hours and not having nay answers.... well today she had a rash all over her trunk & face. Yep Roseola... stupid thing. She's got the classic signs of it. Ah well... now we just wait for the rash to disappear. She's better today, no temp...
poor jovie at least now you have an answer!! hopefully it will clear up soon!!
we DTD the night before i ovulated and had a girl, i'd actually love another girl next time!!
Oh im glad u have an answer Christy!!
Well its clear...Chelsea hates cows milk...spits it out no matter what i try. She loves her formula to much!!
kim try blending some fruit with the cows milk, like 1/4 of a banana, wont be too thick but may be enough of a flavour change for her to drink it!!
thanks christy ;) :hugs: kim
Hmm might have to try that...anything to get on on cows milk...formula for 2 kids is sending me broke..LOL
Kim I found that toddler milk was actually cheaper than full cream milk.... well when Matilda was on it.
Now girls, I need to say "Well done!" to our Baby buddies group. Just the way we support each other on our journeys, no matter if someone is having a crap day or feeling like the worst mother of the year we don't hold it against each other. I actually like coming here & seeing how you are & even if Im lurking I read here.
Nelly had a bad day today too :( I was at the hospital yesterday with Jovie & Nelly went there today with Jake :( sick babies r' us.
Agreed Christy. I love lurking to see how everyone is. We've come so far and its just amazing to hear what is happening with our little people from week to week.
Big hugs to Christy and Nelly for the sick bubs. Ella had roseola too. they are so miserable. but once the rash appears they are so much better. Hope little Jake is OK and bounces back to his cheeky self.
Jols - great idea on the milk. Ella shared my smoothie today and just kept reaching for more..and more. Is there a reason we have to give milk? if they have dairy in other parts of their diet?
We're going well. Ella points to her seat belt or pram buckle and says "eeeeee" to tell us she wants us to release her. very cute. DH is sick with a cold so i'm hoping it doesnt pass to Ella.(or me)
Ann
LOL Ann according to our allergist there is no reason to give milk at all ;) But... child health nurses & some nutritionists would tell you otherwise. As long as they are getting 3 serves of dairy elsewhere in their diet than they should be okay... Jovie's not had any dairy, only breastmilk and her calcium levels were checked at the hospital and it was all normal. We do have calcium enriched rice milk which I cook with & she has on her weatbix in the morning.
well said christy and oh so true!!
hope jake gets better soon too!!
ann very cute!!
Christy, very well said i love checking how everyone is everyday! im glad that Kim directed me to this group when i first joined BB!
Kim, just read ur other post big  sorry some ppl havent been supportive, in no way are u a nutcase, i feel for u hun cos i know wat DP has told me about his anxiety&depression it must be so frightning :( if u ever need to chat/vent im here :hugs:
Hehehe so cute Ann!! i love Ella's cot where did u get it from?
Tried Emelia with santa again today, she still didnt like him so guess will have to see how she is next year!!
Thanks Christy, thanks girls
yep we were there and guess freakng what -- ANOTHER freaking middle ear infection and the rash is ANOTHER virus
AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH HH
thanks feel better now ;)
Oh poor Jakey, hope he feels better soon :(
Yay Christy I agree.
Well i remembered that with evie if i just kept eating and kept my tummy full then i didnt feel sick, so i started picking up this afternoon.
Has anyone else weaned yet? I weaned evie totally about a week ago and my boobs are just getting sorer and sorer and harder. like, no joke i cant actually hold her or have her touch me anywhere near my chest, it's agonising. i think i might pop off to the dr tomorrow.. :(
sleep is back on the **** heap for us. i guess i cant blame her, shes been sick and i've been off so she must know something's going on. shes gone back to not going to sleep without a drink from her cup...but then she could be thirsty since its so humid and shes been sick. oh who knows!!!
oh my poor poor E sized boobs.
i hear you too nelly...they used to be nice and perky..now i'm a 24 year old with saggy boobs and an equally saggy belly to match. i told dh i'm getting a tummy tuck no matter what
tara - you sound in so much pain! why don't you just feed her and relieve the build up of milk? you must be about ready to burst! or is she too ill to suckle?
sorry to hear Jakey has an ear infection Nelly, they sound so nasty.
LOL at you doing funny things to get a particular gender baby, we were just relieved to get pregnant AT ALL.
Tara - at least the Wonderbra is a girl's best friend, not much a well placed bit of engineering, can't disguise!! (i miss the nice shape the underwires give you). oh well, they'll still be there when i stop bf-ing.
bilby is starting to sleep better, thanks for us being sewn a very light sleeping bag by a MCN friend online. it's making such a difference. She's all covered, but very lightly. And did i mention, SLEEPING!!!!
I have no desire to go put bilby on a Santa's lap, not even for a free photo, i must be missing a xmas gene. But i would like to take her to a Carol's night, she bops to all sorts of music (this morning it was hymns on sunday monring tv!!! she still bopped!) dh grabbed the remote to turn it off, but i told him to leave it cos at least bilby was getting some enjoyment out of the music.
She also loved the NSW Schools Spectacular on ABC tonight. she squeals with delight and bops about (sometimes letting go of me or playpen rails, and is actually standing/dancing there on her own balance - then she realises what sh'es doing, and collapses in a pile of giggles! The talent on the School spectacular was amazing, the singing was MUCH better than the people on Australian Idol. that's a bit sad, but true.
Christy - well said - and so true. We have a wonderful group here. Glad jovie is on the mend.
Tara - did you wean Evie because you are pregnant again? prehaps express some off darlin. you don't want to end up with mastitis. its horrid.
:hugs: nelly and Jake. thinking of you hun and wishing I had a magic wand to make it better.
:hugs: kim msn me darlin whenever you need to. if I'm around I will answer, now i'm broadband the computer is alwasy on
hi blanche, Ann, Gigi.
ASton doesnt liek the taste of cows milk either. but likes smoothies. and has other dairy so I'm not concerned. we off to have his needles today :( so not looking forward to that - plus I found a lump. so I am going to get it looked at. in a world of pain today... roll on next monday! hopefully it will bring some relief.
