Kim the whole weight thing bothers me too. i'm going to eat well and exercise but i'm getting my baby flab cut off.
i have my scan tomorrow! a tad nervous!
30 weeks Blanche!!!! holy hell thats gone so quick. i reckon it flies by this time, probably because a) we already have our hands full with one, and b) we know what to expect so probably arent looking forward to it as much LOL
evie is climbing too now, up on the kitchen bench, her chest of drawers..anything. i walked in the other day to find her dangling by her fingertips from her drawers! i nearly died!!
Jols - sometimes evie doesnt have an afternoon nap but will lay quietly with me watching a dvd or somethign and the helps..so that 45 mins where she;'s laying quietly is probably better than nothing!
-
hi guys.
Can't believe you pregnant mummies are so far along! I was only yesterday you told us...
We'll we are not preggers. We need more practice.:)
Gigi - fingers crossed your DH gets the job. CC for us is improving ella seems to settle 2mins after i drop her off. She then crawls around and likes playing with older kids.
We're still on 2 sleeps. Except when I'm home - she's too excited and will only do one sleep.
Scarey moment. I had run the bath and i was in the kitchen. When i turned around i couldnt find her! Ella crawled into the bathroom and locked the door. I freaked out, saw images of her lying face down in the water. I found anything pointy to get the door unlocked. I couldnt hear her her in there - i was certain something awful had happened. I finally got in and she was playing with the toilet lid!
Freaking hell she must have locked the door.

Ann and Blanche i loooove looking at your blogs!!

VICKY - the state primary school we are considering has 350 students in total. The steiner stream is only two years old, they have a prep/one class and a grade two class. Each year, they employ one more Steiner teacher and start one more prep/one class. So by the time bilby starts in 2012, i guess there will be one class for each year minimum.
the non steiner school fees are 350
the steiner school fees are 450
or somthing like that - like only $100 difference -
the steiner school in the hills (where it's from reception to Year 12), it's $800 a year.
All the kids, steiner or not, wear the school uniform or colours.
They have a bullying census and program and have been implementing what the kids tell them. e.g the preps wanted a separate playground, so now there are three separate playgrounds for three age groups )from 5 - 12 years old, instead of the previous two).
How awful for your DD to be bullied - and awful for the school's awfully slow response, no wonder you pulled her out of there.
There is no steiner school in our city suburbs. You have to live in the hills or way down south, for a steiner school. I'm in the metropolitian area around the city. So the STeiner stream at the state primary school is the only geographical (and financial) option for us, if we want to pursue Steiner. I couldn't drive 90 mins each way four times a day. (petrol). our city is very very spread out, north to south.
the whole school has a virtues program where they work on a particular virtue each week.
ANN - how are you feeling about not being pregnant hon? are you sad? or feeling ok about it?
glad to hear Ella is enjoying CC more, those first few weeks must have been hard to watch for you
How terrifying for Ella to lock herself in the bathroom! MY GOD you must have been petrified!!!
KIM - weight is such a hard thing, i've lost my baby weight, but still have a weird distribution of fat on my stomach i can't budge - so i thought the numbers of the scale would make me happy - but they haven't! i need to exercise and tone up the tum - cannot see that happening. So numbers wise, i should be buying a lotto ticket - but still, all i see is the Tum. We're all our own worst critic heh? ANd dh keeps saying "having a baby took your bottom away" - all my life - sticking out big bottom - now - not much there. i was ashamed of having a big bottom and now, DH MISSES IT!!!!! men!!!! he said it was sexy!!
I get so depressed (mainly from bugger all sleep) that i end up eating two choc biscuits and iced coffee - that's what i might have all day, inbetween tending to bilby. plus these darn heatwaves, 35+ degree weather doesn't make me feel hungry. Then i'll wolf down an entire block of organic chocolate at midnight - stupid i know.
trying to break the iced coffee addiction actually - in case it's keeping bilby awake all the time - replacing the bottle of iced coffee in the fridge, with a bottle of water instead.
TARALEE - good luck with your scan hon, let us know how it goes heh?
these climbing baby stories make me think - oh boy - so that's whats next heh? bilby SLITHERED out of the highchair (with harness done up) and got to the floor unhurt - so Houdini has moved to the next level. I keep wondering what th ehell we will do when she can climb the metal gates we have a doorways, or climb over the playpen. We have SO MUCH stuff out, and there is literally NOWHERE to move it too. Even if it was all boxed up, there is nowhere to put hte boxes!!!
argh!!!
we're in the middle of an eight day heatwave
definiation of a heatwave - eight days of over 35
so wait for it
our heatwave is GOING TO BE BROKEN next Tuesday
with a day of
34 degrees!
before going back to 38, 36, 39 after that!!!
argh!!!!
so cmon Perthies (Blanche, i'm looking at you darling)
send us some cooler weather pretty pleez!!!!!

have a cold and sophie decided to wake at 4.45 this morning! blah

Okay, have been reading but not posting again. Sorry girls, I've dropped the ball ;)
Steiner schools etc... we are actually looking at moving closer to a Montessori school for Matilda. She's in the kindy and responds so well to it that we are actually thinking we may move closer to either Caboolture or Indooroopilly, they are both an hour drive atm which I wouldn't do for school.
Taralee, I'm so excited for you & your scan  hope it all goes fantastically.
Blanche!!! 30 weeks :o where has that time gone???
Vicky, Nelly, Jols, Ann, Gigi :grouphug:
Been sick again.... I can't even get my blood tests done while I'm sick for the specialist. I emailed him & said I was sick again and he replied that I couldn't get my tests run & how ironic it is that part of what he thinks my condition is a low immune system and that is what is holding back my diagnosis. Yeah... ironic, or freaking painful if you are me.
Apparently with adrenal issues its common to get cramps for females, so all those painful cramps I had a few months ago would be explained.
Jovie...she's been a painful sleeper lately. Just won't go to sleep if anything is going on, like if Matilda is awake. If Matilda is awake, Jovie will fight sleep, but the minute Matilda goes to bed.... Jovie goes to sleep. URgh.
-
Move closer to Caboolture... for my own purely selfish reasons of couse lol :D
-
my thought exactly vicky ;)
all my blood tests came back ok so I am just run down and burning that candle at every point possible
Jake managed to push the cat scratching pole to the front screen door (again) was standing on it turning the handle trying to escape (again). Luckily our last incident taught us to key lock the door. He is now climbing the drawer handles in the kitchen to get to the bench, climbing the pantry shelves to get what he wants to eat, climbing climbing climbing aaarrrrghhhhhhh! and I was worried he wasn't climbing!
have been asked to promote to a tupperware manager and I am really keen but at the same time am enjoying it not being a "real" job
gigi I know how it feels to be in a tiny home with nowhere to put anything and constantly living in a state of clutter - then throw a toddler and a heat wave into the mix!
sorry alll have just been lurking DH is off to surgeon next week he has no feeling in his fingertip not sure about the rest of hand it is still in a cast - at least there is no more cricket ;)
vicky is your dumb moment past? how was the zoo crazy woman?!?!
-
Nelly - that's not good about DH's hand! stupid cricket!
there were moments of fun at the zoo...but lots of moments of "I dont want to be here!!!" from both me and aston!
having an easy day today - have just put the poor little sick man back to bed, and are off to lay down myself...going to take him back to the doctor this afternoon.
I have updated photos on Facebook.... if your interested :)
-

-
Thanks Kim ;) H0w are the girls. On face book you are saying your loving them more and more. Its hard some day isnt it..?
Gigi - School? Damn I better get moving. I'm not that organised at the moment.
Yeah those few weeks starting CC was so hard. She just screamed like she was being hurt. She would cling onto my leg and just look up with those eyes.
Now she still cries (but not screams) and she gets over in a few minutes after i leave. When i pick her up I just love hiding from view and watch her play. As soon as she sees me she cries so at least i can see her having fun.
Not too upset about not having a bun in the oven. It was our first go. But i'm wondering now i've i'm ovulating properly. My periods only last 3 days. Before they were 5 days long. The ovulation stick says i am.. but i dont know.
Vicky- Aston looks so grown up in that shot! His hair has really changed colour.
Christy - at being sick again. Rest up hun.
Blanche - how did your appointment go?
Jols - Way too early to get up. Is she sleeping better in the day today? Miss Ella is only on ONE sleep today but at least it will be a long one. Hope you get to get to catch some zzzzzs
Tara - How is evie sleeping? She still going to sleep on her own? Ella is able to do it during the day but at night its harder for her. Maybe i'll try a night light. anyone else have a night light?
Ann
-
Ann - Aston has a night light. has since he was teeny. mainly because I have such bad eyesight. i think it helps him though. give it a try, nothing ventured nothing gained.
