just to change the subject from cats kittens and vaginas....
We decided to go for Indian tonight and Molly has been doing backflips since we got home! I loev a good hot lamb saagwala but not sure if bib is cheering me or dancing around the campfire cursing me!!!!
Oh we had curry.....i think everything from my mouth down is annoyed with me.... LOL
whats wrong with cats, kittens and vag's???
we had curry wed night!! we had lamb sag and butter chicken
This is as active as ive seen this thread in weeks!!
Chelsea even ate curry tonight....it was a huge change for her....was curried snags though...maybe thats why. She looooves butter chicken however....goes crazy when i make it.
Hows the thumb stoppage going btw Jols?
SNAP JOLS THAT"S WHAT WE HAD!!!!!!
My fave is Lamb saag and DH is utter chicken with a garlic naan - yummm. A new indian has just opened near us and it is the best indian I have had in ages. Plus if you order home delivery before 6pm the del is free and you get a 10% discount.... hmmm fri night takeways night might be indian for a while!
I know Kim we have been a little quiet of late!
Well we can talk about cats kittens and vag but we may have to move into the AO room! lol Who knows where it could go!
i looooove butter chicken!!!!
thumb is going well, hasnt sucked it since monday only cos its not comfy, dropped day sleeps though!!
Oh gosh id go insane if we dropped day sleeps....but the dummy has returned cos Chelsea was sick and i needed sleep....so we gave it back. Not right i know....but she doesnt have it all the time now. At FDC she doesnt have it.
Thinking of FDC....i got Jasmine a 2nd day now too...same days at Chelsea...Tues and thurs!
well here
- there is no dummy
- there is no big girls bed (yet)
- there is no day sleep (except in the car on rare ocassions)
- there is no DTD cos i am about to leave dh and lack of trust killed my drive
- TT-ing is kind of starting, she looks so cute in knickers, this tiny little bot, but size 2-3 girls knickers are a bit big on her, where do you get smaller ones i wonder?
- bilby is now saying STAR, DOOR, THOOS for shoes, DEEZ for cheese, YOGART for yogurt, WOW, OOH NO, so a few more words than just the mumma and dadda we have been used to.
- she has taken to staring at women wearing low neck tops, as in "yummy, milk", which is quite funny to watch
- every woman is referred to as MUMMA, every man is referred to as DADDA
- she is singing the guitar riff to "smoke on the water", using a word e.g STAR over and over (instead of la la-ing it).
- footwear of choice is gumboots - i wish it would rain so she had puddles to stomp in with them. One morning she wee-ed in them! (a TT-ing practice morning).
that's pretty spooky AJP, about feeling you're going to give birth early. Was Sophie a premmie?
Kim, that's a pity your rellies won't be there for the birth. Driving with three in a months's time! you are VERY brave!
hope everyone enjoyed the Indian takeaway, guess what i feel like eating now!! you've all made me VERY HUNGRY!! ha ha.
Ann - Ella sounds so cute, best of luck with reaching your next goal (keeping the twins in for a bit longer).
Vicky - thinking of you
Nelly - you are too funny! i will never think of kittens in the same way again!!!
I think I might avoid the Indian in future... not the best night's sleep ever - I had to sleep sitting up I felt so sick and bub was hula hooping all over the place.
gigi we've got jake in the terry training pants from big w or best and less and they start at size 1.
gotta go have a whingey one - he's been up since 4.30am must be sleep time soon!
Well i had an interesting night.
Went to bed around 11pm not feeling the best. Stomach was aching and i felt like i was going to vomit. At 1230 i flung the covers back and ran to the loo, only just making it.
From then on i had what im sure were contractions lasting til 6am...i never slept a wink. Then CHelsea came in at 630 and i was once again up vomitting and in so much pain.
Craig got up with her and i tried resting to see if things would go away. Its now just after 11am, the pains have gone but my stomach is so sore and bub isnt moving a great deal.
So maybe the RLT before bed, DTD in the arvo and the Curry for tea wasnt a good idea either :(
well my baby girl is 13 today.... oh my. We are going out to dinner tonight - just girls. Laura has two friends coming, and the rest are women that are important in her life. I have very strategically placed women in Laura's life that add value and experience to her life. I think there will be about 12 of us altogether.Dinner tonight is to celebrate her arrival into the next stage in her life - that of teenager. We are going to italian restaurant in Mooloolaba.
Aston was very helpful opening Laura's presents with her - funny boy. And Nathan very graciously vaccumed Laura's bedroom for her this morning.
The dummy is still at our house :( On christmas eve when we were supposed to leave it out for santa, I was too busy negotiating with my tantruming daughter for an hour and half - so it kind of went by the wayside... oh well. Aston is intermittenly using the potty, loves wearing undies lol. We have a star chart, that he gets to put a sticker on the chart, and a sticker for him. He loves it. But I'm not making too big a deal about it. He has only just turned two. The fact that he even goes as often as he does I think is big. I'm not ready to venture out into the outside world without a nappy on him yet. I remember feeling really stressed with the whole toilet training saga with Laura, and took a completely different approach with Nathan - it was far less stressful. Don't let anyone pressure you into training your child to use the toilet. Its not a race.
What else is going in my world... too much - but I'm doing ok. Has anyone seen that movie Catch Me if You Can? in it there is a scene where the father tells his son about two mice that are each stuck in a jug of milk. One mice desperately clambers about trying to get out, exhausting itself in the process, and drowns. The other treads water/milk, turning it to butter, once he has a solid foundation under his feet, he is able to get out of the jug. So right now, I'm making butter. :)
Hope everyone had a great christmas and New year, and that 2009 brings you all love light and laughter. xxxx
Kim we posted at the same time - hope you are feeling better hun. Maybe a trip to the hospital wouldn't be a bad idea?
If this keeps up i think it will be a good idea....i just dont feel right. Im so scared and absolutely petrified right now.
have you called your dr / midwife / hospital and see what they think? Make sure you try to keep up your fluids too.
Things are quite atm.....yeh my stomach is sore but no pains, vomitting or loo trips....probably cos nothing what so ever left inside to come out
sounds like your emptying out kim!!! one more to empty!!!
vicky wow you have a teenager :o scary!! hope you have a lovely night out with your little lady.
dont worry about the dummy, we only stopped the thumb due to the dental damage.
sophie is now counting to 10!! will our prompting but still.... proud!
learning her alphabet too!!
no day sleeps but this is due to the thumb, so have been working on implementing a day 'timeout' which involves an hour on her couch with bottle of milk watching tv, not ideal but we both need it!! she has to wait for the buzzer to go off!! wich me luck!!
GIGI wow hun im glad you;ve decided to leave DH, its obviously for the good of your and bilby. wish i could help out some way
nelly bad night hey!! hope it wasnt the curry!! no more dreams ;)
not with you in them jols ;)
