yes, it's so quiet in here, it ECHOES vicki!
wow, i'm a touch green that you have a talking toddler! all i hear, all the time, VERY LOUDLY, is "daddy star, mummy star, bubby star" - stars and moons are hot topics. she says the words she CAN say, over and over, very loudly. Obviously dying to communicate, high comprehension, but very few words.
i got a speeding fine today, at a stage when bilby was making a super loud super irritating noise in her seat, we were 2mins from home, and i was so irritated by the noise, i would have walked over hot coals, just for her to SHUT UP. and then i get waved over by cop, having taken my eyes off the speedo and done 64 in a 50zone. $204 thank you very much. he asked me why i was speeding and i explained. so he gave me a 204 fine, instead of the $300 fine. i had forgotten speeding fines were so much, last one i had was in 2001.
bilby used to be such a good passenger. now she grizzles the whole ride home from childcare. wants my attention the whole time. i do give her a book, a water bottle and a snack, when we leave CC. don't know what else i could be doing.
i'm so relieved for you Vicky, that things are starting to move in the right direction, with your dh. obviously going to be a long road.
i remember missing "my space" when dh was home on compo too. i couldn't wait for him to go back to work!
is your niece still with you?
Nelly, i LOVE the photo of Jake and Sophia in your siggy!

Thanks gigi - he dotes on her and has lots of cuddles... she went to sleep in his arms this morning was soooo cute!!
-
awww nelly that's beautiful. makes me all gooey.
Aston has started asking "why?" to lots of things. I'm astounded as I'm sure it shouldnt be starting to do this for at least another 12months. Makes for lots of interesting conversation that's for sure. This morning he wanted honey on his weetbixs and he announces to me "bees make honey" and then as we are driving to day care, he says to me "be careful mummy" I had to swerve to miss the pot holes on the driveway! Me thinks this little munchkin is too smart for his own good!
-
Aston sounds very advanced!
are you doing your "one day a week painting" vicki? your "me" time?
what are you studying?
-
Gigi - i dont know whether he is advanced.. I just think its from having two much older siblings.
As for my painting... sigh, havnet painted for ages. Its on my list of things to do once I have completed these last two assignments for this term. Then I don't go back to uni until mid july. I'm doing Secondary teaching.
I am planning to go to movie world with Laura for the day, and do some other things with the kids in the next month. lots and lots of FUN stuff!!

Hi
We are same old here....Zander has started daycare once a week on Wednesdays..he cries when I leave but is apparently good after a few minutes..he doesnt wear a nappy anymore during the day, he just needs to be taken to the toilet every hour or so..he will voluntarily go when he needs to do a "brown one" but hasnt mastered the "yellow one" and sometimes has a few accidents.
Wyatt still sleeps 2-3 hours a day so Wednesdays are my day to relax completely for that time, as DH works 6 days a week and sundays we try and do things as a family.
Im having another ultrasound in 2 weeks to confirm gender...before I buy some baby things. The ultrasound is being done through a mobile company called "a window to your womb" and they do a 3d/4d scan at your home and you get a dvd etc
Hope everyone is doing well...bye for now

sophia is gorgeous nelly!!!

vicky oohhh movie world sounds great!!
gigi bugger about teh speeding fine!
AFU were doing well, sophie is toilet trained both day and night! :o only had one accident during the day and that was 2 weeks ago and has been dry the past 6 nights :o still shocked about that one!!! she talks heaps! torments her sister!! loving my girls!!

wow you girls that have mastered TT my hats off to you! We are still at the stage where he will go to the potty before the bath, and when he is at daycare he will go there as well. This weekend I will go the undie route again and see how we go. We did it last weekend, and he did a poo in his pants and was most distressed about it, asking to put a nappy back on. Oh well, not going to stress about it - it will happen.
me - stressed to the hilt, and feeling pulled in every which direction. the kids and DH and myself have been sick since last Friday... Aston, then DH, then Me, then Nathan, now laura... sigh. I was in bed for two and half days. Thankfully laura stayed home to help out, becausee DH's back is still well and truely ****ed. feeling a tad over everything these days.
sorry for the downer post...
-
 vicky i hope your feeling better soon!
sophie took 3 months to train, 3 months of peeing on my carpet, taking to the loo etc.. but it finally sunk in afew weeks back, she takes herself off to the loo for both wees and poos, i need to wipe  doesnt need the special seat or a stool anymore just climbs up!!
vicky aston will TT before you know it!
-
yep tt is a distant wish in this house too ....

swing and roundabouts
i have a tt-d child, but you have talking toddlers! (and some of you have both!) adn AJP has a little giraffe! that's so amazing she doesn't need a step to get herself on the toilet! bilby has a BIG step, and her legs DANGLE from the toilet seat (with insert in it).
my friend trained her 22 month old boy in three days, she bought an ebook online, called "3 day potty training", wasn't very expensive. she followed what the book said, got online coaching from teh author during the "boot camp", and it worked for them. it relies on you staying home for three consectutive days, and your child wears nothing from waist down. it's a strict routine, that's why my friend refers to it as "boot camp". they have polished floorboards, adn rolled up their carpet mats, for those three days. I found out about this, after bilby trained, but i doubt it would suit us (with white rental carpet to consider).
Good luck with the scan Nicola, how convenient that they come to you.
Vicky, sorry your home is full of sick people, it is wearing. Is Laura at uni this year?
-
TT-ed here too.
Something's going on with Chi and i dont know what. im taking him to the dr tomorrow, but i havent been on here for a few days cos i've been silly and worrying myself. he just keeps throwing up...wont take solids. he weaned himself totally off me and over a couple of days will ONLY take me for a feed. wont touch solids now, is gagging all the time. vomits hours and hours after a breastfeed....*shrug* i dont know. has just started SCREAMING at bath time,as soon as i sit him in the water. its never been a problem before...
im just upset about it
-
oh TL, no wonder you are so worried, i would be too!
hope GP can give you some answers, that sounds VERY concerning.
is he showing any signs of dehydration?
poor little Chino, and poor you, it's horrible when your little one is sick, hugs to both of you.
-
big hug tara xxxx
we are quarantined with Influ A possibly swine. all of us are sick so isn't a happy house : (
-
going to get abdominal xrays today and also have to get urine and poo samples! yikes!!! that'll be fun!
could be a range of things so i am hoping its just a lactose intolerance and not something wrong with his gut and bowels :(
