Heather not far from you!! Up near Cab.!!
Hi KPK, welcome to the November thread!! Looking forward to hearing more about your little girl. WTG on the commando crawling, we have a little bit happening here, but its mainly backwards !!
Dragonbub - I can't believe you can't get on a waiting list yet. Although I do wonder how the waiting lists actually work here. I think if you ring at the right time you are more likely to get a place than someone who has been waiting patiently on the list for 6 months. I am really nervous about the whole DC thing. DS doesn't sleep well with noise around and I am worried about the sleep he will get at DC. And yes I am feeling guilty. I really don't like the thought of going back at all. I think once I am back I will feel better about it. I do enjoy working and think some mental stimulation will be good for me. Plus I think DS will benefit from the socialisation. Its just the unknowns that are worrying me at the moment :(. Oh and the fact that the bottle thing is still a big issue. I am praying that when I am not around he will just decide that there is no other option . Love the updated photo too!!
Hoody - so glad to hear Molly is on the mend. Hopefully things are nice and quiet at your house at the moment.
Heather - hope you got some rest and relaxation while you were at your parents. Surely Kimberelys sleeps have been better? I hope our two don't keep swapping their sleeps. Yes definitely will catch up soon.
We have still no teeth here. His bottom two are really prominent behind his gums but still haven't worked their way to the surface yet. I am sure it can't be too long now. We have also had a lot of talking lately which is nice. He has actually been waking up from his sleeps talking, instead of crying which is a wonderful.
Has anyone heard from Willow lately?
Pooh, just posted a big comment and my computer flaked!
Quickie then...
Hoody - Hope Molly is better. We don't wrap Caden, just use a sleeping bag.
June - Wish that tooth fairy would hurry up! It seems to take ages doesn't it? I found with Caden the top teeth were longer to come through and bigger, but each kid is different. I hear you on the sleep situation, but at least they will be older and hopefully more predictable. Some DC centres that I have seen have a nice dark room that seems quiet for sleeping. But I worry that they wont be able to hear HIM and he might need them. Oh the worries never cease :D
KRK- I love the name Cade too and figure he will get called that by his mates anyway.
Heather- It is hard to rely on friends, but I think we are going to have to. My SIL has offered to look after him and although she is an hour away, she is close to my work. She would be the best, as she is his aunty, has 3 kids of her own, and is a great mum. My GF would be a good option also, but I am concerned about her patience levels, considering she has a very well behaved 10 month old and is also planning to TTC#2 in October. I think my lil fella might be too much for her!
Hopefully when I press the button this time it works!
Yay! It worked
Just a quick one my house is chaotic again :( I wont go into it too much as i feel all i ever do in here he complain, whinge and whine.
Molly's shoulder seems to be really good now and she is doing well pretty much back to her normal self- not much to say there iykwim. DD1 is back in hosy with her asthma (thats the chaotic bit) she had a major attack yesterday at DC. DH and i are tired but well :)
I will do personal when i have more time. I dont know if i will be around much in the next day or 2 but i will try.
Thankyou June, your boy was born the day after my girl :)
Her teeth also sat under the gums for ages before they popped on through, it was amazing, I was saying for ages, "I know they are there" and then when driving home from the coast one afternoon, my husband was in the back of the car with her and he said "Babe, Im worried I can see a split in her gums is that normal?" I got so excited, pulled over so I could have a look lol.
The first tooth came through that night and two days later the second.
Her top teeth are playing games now!
Hoody, it is good that Molly's shoulder is doing much better :)
Dragonbub, I really hope you are able to sort out your care issues soon. It must be a little bit frustrating.
I am very excited, my husband comes home in two days! DD has changed so much since he left, doing all sorts of new things. Including climbing up onto the platform of her bounce bounce and chilling out on there, or using it as a 'ladder' and stomping her feet everywhere! Why does it all happen so fast?
Hoody - it is fine to whinge in here! Lord knows I have done my share... I hope little Mia gets better soon. Fingers crossed it is something she grows out of and Molly doesn't get.
KRK - great news about your hubby. At least he gets lots of things to come home to. I guess it would be weird to get home and have nothing change, but having said that, I would hate to miss out on anything! LOL about pulling over to check her gums, I did the same with Caden each morning until they popped through. His top teeth took ages, about 6 weeks in total. Very painful :(
Hope everyone else is fine?
Dragonbub, did you find Caden was really grinding the bottom teeth for the top teeth? My dad said that that is a big sign - DD is really grining it appears onto her top teeth.
Yea, we knew it would be hard for DH to come sometimes to see how much has changed with DD< I don't really "Tell" him what she is doing new, so that when he comes home "ITs the first time he's heard of it" - we have been lucky in the sense that DD has taken to him perfectly every time he comes home, if anything, Im forgotten for a few days ;)
Baaaah!! Just did a big post and lost it :wall:
Will try again tomorrow...we are well though (well I'm sick at the moment, but generally speaking)!
Hello ladies...
Just a quick post as I have just finished work and haven't been in to say hello for a while! Sorry for lack of personals but shall be back!
Brooke is doing very well... having two solid feeds a day now - has tried rice cereal, pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot and a bit of pureed apple and banana. Loves her pumpkin and carrot!
Rolling round heaps and likes sitting and playing with support. Her hands are everywhere these days - trying to grab anything and everything that is close to her! Also loves being outside - if shes starting to get bored mid-afternoon, I take a towel outside and we sit in the garden and watch the birds and dogs and trees and cars - she thinks its great, she also likes the feel of the grass and the fact that she can pull it out herself!
Well, my eyes are getting very droopy so I'm off... I hope everyone is having a nice week!

Hey Willow and Belinda! Haven't heard from you gals in a while.
KRK - Caden grinds his teeth now. It is so annoying. The first time he did it I though he was chewing something cos it sounded like he was munching sand. I realised what he was doing, and now try to get him to stop. I am worried he will damage his teeth. PMSL about her forgetting you for a few days! At least it is nice for your DH to have her to himself for a bit and you get a break.
Belinda - great about the rolling and solids!
It is funny cos although Caden is the oldest in here, he seems very much at the same developmental milestones as everyone else. I guess it is because he was 3 weeks early? He is a big boy, but is not crawling yet or pulling himself up. He has started doing the all-fours rocking thing and can pull himself up with a bit of help. He loves standing though and will make his way to the coffee table whenever I have him in a standing position. Maybe he will skip crawling and just walk, which would be nice. I am dreading when he becomes more mobile and I'll have to make sure everything is nice and tidy.
Best be off, we are going to the zoo today :D
Hey ladies,
Heading down south again to visit my sis. Will be back Saturday.
Hope you all have a great week!
Hello Ladies :)
Well it appears things have settled back down in our house again. Well for the time been we will see how long it lasts. My DD1 is still off but 100% better than she was on Mon. Today she has had very rosy cheeks so i think the grumpiness may be a result of her 2yo molars coming through as she hasnt got them yet. Well i'm hoping thats the case rather than her still been unwell. The asthma is back under control and we have changed preventers to see if we can get the attacks to be less frequent, i just hope it works  I'm sick of trips to the hospital. We have been 3 times in the last 3 weeks :wall:
Molly too is grumpy but i'm sure its all teeth related too she is very red in the face and i'm sure she has enough drool to fill a small swimming pool. Since she hurt her arm our nights have gone down hill however last night she went from 8.30pm - 7am so i'm hoping we will get back to our 6.30-6.30. I dont really like getting up early but i'm up with DD1 anyway so it makes no diff if she sleeps in iykwim. She is rolling a little more now though and definately moves around on the floor but no where near crawling or even commando. I'm not really worried about when she starts moving as my house is very child friendly already from DD1. I still have cupboard lock on everything and anything etc. My biggest concern is if DD1 leaves smaller toys lying around that might fit in her mouth but then again i dont really let DD1 have too smaller things as she still likes to munch on toys
We went to a friends DS's 1st birthday today and it really made me realise that my baby is closer to 1 than a NB. It sounds silly but i hadnt really thought of it and it only 5 months away, what happend to the last 7?
I am really bad at been too organised for Xmas so today i bought my first present for the girls. A trampoline with the enclosure. DD1 loves tramps (boing boings in her language) and although Molly will still be a bit little it wont be long b4 she could use it too. Toys R Us had them on sale for half price and i had the money now (we prob wont at Xmas) so i thought why not. Now i jsut have to store it somewhere:doh: Its not so bad if my kids see it they are both a bit young to understand but with all the cousins etc that come over they will think its odd me having a tramp in a box then santa bringing one and the box disappearing iykwim. As i said i like to be organised and by the end of Oct mid Nov latest i am usually finished with my shopping. The one thing i dont like is putting the tree up and stuff as since DD1 has been around she has loved to touch it. The first year i put a playpen around it and last year i got a small one and put it on our pool table but as a result couldnt put lights on it. Hmm i wonder what i'll do this year.......sorry starting to ramble.
DB- I hope you had fun at the Zoo. We went the day b4 Molly was born and it was 40 degrees so heavily pg and hot yuk. But this time of year it would be very nice, also have fun visiting your sister.
Belinda- Glad to hear Brooke is doing well. We often go out side too in the arvos. I hate been stuck inside all day long i go a bit stir crazy.
Willow- :hooray: great to see you back in here. I hope you feel better soon and can update us all soon on how you are all going :)
Everyone else sorry no personals DH has just come home with a lovely healthy and nutritious dinner from nandos :cryinglaugh: but i hope you are all well anyway.
Have been trying to get on and post all morning but haven't been able to load up the site. Not sure what is going on, so no time now for a post. Just having an awful time with teeth at the moment. So sick of this. Just when I thought I had the sleep thing going reasonably well it all goes out the window.
Will try and get back on later to post
Hello All,
The trip down south went well. Caden was alot more settled this time which was so much easier. My sis did some school runs so was at home with a NB and my bub, which was fun (not). What a handful 2 can be! Caden is teething again so he is a bit more grumpy now we are home. His top second left is moving, it is really dark and bruised. I have posted in the general section, but I think this is fairly normal?
Hoody - glad to hear things are better for you. Wow, christmas already! I actually thought the other day that half the year is over already. Very scary, it has gone so fast, and yet so slow. I feel like I have had Caden forever and can't remember life without him, yet it has only been 8 months.
June - That blasted tooth fairy! Here's hoping she will visit (and you can slap her when she comes).
Caden is moving around so much now, almost crawling, pulling himself up, sitting unsupported. I am worried though cos he gets around in his cot and always ends up on his tummy and cries because he doesn't sleep on his tum. Speaking of which, I better go turn him over cos I can tell he is on his belly
Hope you are all having a good weekend - it is wet and wild here...
Again I have been trying to get on for the last two days to post, but BB is just not loading. I know they are having big servers at the moment. Just thought I'd try again quickly before I head off to bed and amazingly I can load the page (hopefully it will post though). Just wanted to say hello, hope all are well. Will do personals when I am a bit more awake. Oh and I think I may have a solution to our teething nightmare, but want to give it one more night before singing its praises too much.
Hugs to all
Hellooooo!
Sorry for the sporadic posts lately! Things are going really well here, keeping very busy! Brooke is great, she's sitting on her own now - no crawling yet (although I have lots of baby proofing to do before that happens!) and no teeth (keep thinking it's gonna happen which lots of rosy cheeks, drooling, etc but nothing so who knows).
We are part of a mothers group now which is great - have started to meet lots of other new mums through that which has been nice.
June... hope you managed to find your solution!
Dragonbub... Doesn't sound like Caden will be far off getting moving! Brooke stood at a coffee table by herself the other day playing with the toys on top (I sat behind her so I could grab her if I needed to) - I was a bit gobsmacked cause didn't think she'd be able to do that yet (we don't have a coffee table at home) but she seemed to love it!
Hoody... good on you with the Christmas pressies - I am completely the opposite and normally strolling round Christmas Eve trying to come up with ideas. Although this year, I think I'm going to have to make myself be a whole lot more organised with having a littlie to think of! Hope the girls are doing well!
Hi to everyone else... I'm working tomorrow so have to go express before going to bed (ahhh the joys!).
Enjoy the rest of your week!

June, I have been trying too, the server is def having problems.
Still waiting on number 5 tooth. Got a nice big bruise but no tooth yet, very very grizzly tho so hopefully soon
Had our 8 month check up. Caden is 9.6 kilos, 71 cms and growing very nicely. He is caterpillar crawling and half pulling himself up onto things (including me :D). he can almost sit up by himself too, he kind of leans to the side and waits there for me to give him a lift. He sits by himself when he is up, it is just hard to get there!
Well, gotta go do some uni stuff, back later,
